Suggestion

Rãculionix or baurubatrachus-giant Catfish frog

The Rãculionix would be an incredible addition to Aberration. If we consider a more logical approach, amphibians would have greater success in this map. The Rãculionix is the perfect example, being a giant amphibian adapted to leaping and surviving in this radioactive environment. It would be amazing for survivors, especially if this creature excels in farming, mobility, and combat. Could it potentially rival the Rock Drake?

I'm not very good at drawing, but I found this design and wanted to use it as inspiration to create the abilities of the Rãculionix. I would like WD to make some changes to the design to make it more faithful to the Aberration map and the radioactive environment, but I must say that this design is amazing!

Dossiês:

Species: raculionix anura

Time: Cretaceous

Diet: carnivore

Temperament: Aggressive

Wild: In the wild, the Rãculionix is never alone, always found in lakes or rivers with multiple individuals. When prey or a player approaches, their group communication activates, similar to the howls of wolves. Their grunts attract more members of the species, and they leap towards the prey, causing immense and corrosive damage. Additionally, the Rãculionix has a tail that emits an unbearable and hallucinogenic odor for other creatures, driving them away, much like the roar of the Yutiranus. Players are also not exempt from the effects of the Rãculionix's tail, and I have heard reports of tribes using the tail's effect to tame aggressive creatures, due to its ability to easily repel and immobilize them. But even in its wild form, I have witnessed the Rãculionix hunting large animals. Its bite is devastating, with its acidic, pink tongue corroding the prey's flesh, resembling a radiation whip. Its bite causes bleeding and deep radiation damage to the prey, making it a formidable hunter in the Aberration.

Domestication:

To tame the Rãculionix is a challenging task. Firstly, you must obtain fish gel from anglerfish and acquire a vial of the Rãculionix's tail scent. Mix them together at a chemistry bench to create a gel that tricks the Rãculionix into believing you are of the same species. Once you have prepared the gel, you need to locate a Rãculionix. Only the males can be tamed, as the females are much smaller and cannot be domesticated in this manner. Therefore, you must eliminate all the females before attempting a stealthy approach towards the male. After eliminating the females, approach the male Rãculionix while wearing camouflaged clothing. Then, apply the gel to your gloves and armor, ensuring that the gel's effect lasts for a certain amount of time. During this time, you will be able to mount the Rãculionix. By applying the gel and grasping onto the Rãculionix's antennae, it will feel a connection to you. From there, you must tame the creature by completing small missions that appear on the screen, such as performing a certain number of jumps, killing specific creatures in the area, or even swimming in the radioactive waters of the Aberration. However, a single application of the gel will not be enough, similar to the Carcharodontosaurus. The Rãculionix will attempt to dismount you as it can only be ridden with the gel's effect. Therefore, you must be prepared to run as it will try to kill you. Once it has calmed down, you must repeat the same process until the taming is complete.

Domesticated:

When tamed, the Rãculionix has numerous utilities, ranging from locomotion to resource gathering. In terms of resource gathering, it is a simple and highly efficient task for the Rãculionix, making it an excellent resource farmer in the game. The Rãculionix possesses a radioactive tongue with highly caustic chemical properties, perfect for cutting and breaking rocks in Aberration. With this ability, the Rãculionix can easily break down metals and gather resources, while also benefiting from a weight reduction, making it ideal for farming metal, stone, and thatch. Additionally, it has a similar function to the Magmasaur's ability to melt metal with its tongue. In terms of locomotion, it is quite evident that the Rãculionix excels in this aspect. With its large and muscular legs, it is perfectly suited for performing immense leaps in Aberration, as well as being able to swim in the radioactive waters of the map. Yes, players could also swim in these waters, as the Rãculionix absorbs the radiation from the water, protecting the player. Furthermore, it is immune to fall damage and can carry substantial amounts of resources. In terms of combat, the Rãculionix possesses impressive abilities. Its tail emits a noxious odor that repels creatures, making it perfect for taming and venturing safely. It also has a tail attack that delivers a radioactive shock to its target. While the Rãculionix's bite may not be exceptionally powerful, it is still helpful, causing bleeding and a radiation effect on the target, even affecting aberrant creatures. Its tongue attack inflicts electric, hot, and corrosive damage, making it perfect for breaking structures and gathering resources, as mentioned earlier. Additionally, the Rãculionix has sensory antennae that grant the player a motion-detection vision, allowing them to detect all creatures in the vicinity and emit a signal when encountering a maximum-level creature, similar to the Bulldog.

These are some ideas, and if anyone has more ideas for abilities, please share them below.

Procreation:

To breed and obtain a Ranculionix egg, you must first find a wild female. After that, you need to have gas balls in the inventory of the male, which serve as food during mating. Then, you must trap the female and position the male next to her, activating the mating process. During mating, the male will consume the gas ball, staying nourished while both Ranculionix remain "attached" for about 30 minutes. During this period, the Ranculionix is vulnerable, so it's important to be vigilant of other creatures nearby. The female Ranculionix must not take damage and should stay close to water. After mating concludes, she will lay the egg in the nearest water source, and you must collect it and incubate it in any water. It's worth noting that the heat generated by the Diplocaulus is necessary to incubate the Ranculionix egg, as technology is not capable of performing this task for such a radioactive animal. As the offspring grows, it will no longer require the gel on the gloves, as it will be trained with its natural scent. However, the wild father still requires the use of gel to be ridden.

Repellent:

In addition to the mentioned abilities of the Rãculionix, as mentioned, it produces a toxin in its tail that repels creatures in the vicinity. To obtain it, you can either kill Rãculionix to acquire it or collect it in a vial using a male Rãculionix. This toxin can be used to spray on creatures or apply to yourself, serving as a quick repellent to scare away small and medium-sized creatures, making it perfect for venturing in Aberration. It also serves in PvP as a means to intimidate enemy creatures when thrown on the ground.

End

The Rãculionix could be associated with the Baurubatrachus, creating a more authentic and realistic version of an evolved frog from Aberration. The Baurubatrachus underwent transformations that made it convergent with electric fish and current catfish. I hope this creature is chosen for the game, as it would bring a unique and exciting addition to the world of Ark: Survival Evolved.
