Suggestion

Hello survivors! This is my submission for Aberration on Ark: Survival Ascended: Amebelodon Gemmafodiensis. A relative of the modern elephant with shovel-like tusks on its lower jaw that it used to dig up plants and other things to eat from the mud in the swamps it called home. That being said, this Amebelodon would live in the Fertile Zone (green) and Bioluminescent Zone (blue).

Passive Gem Collecting

My idea is that, similar to wild roll rats, it can dig up the green, blue, and red gems found on the map, but depending on where it digs will determine the typoe of gems found. FOr example, green and blue gems can be found in the fertile zone and blue and red gems can be found in the bioluminescent zone. It can even do this while tamed ensureing a safe and reliable way to passively collect gems as it wanders around looking for food!

Living Catapult

The other ability I propose is similar to the Chalicotherium. However, since there are no chalicotherium on Aberration, Amebelodon will take its place! Amebelodon's lower mandible would be able to scoop up a glob of rock-laden mud and be able to lob it at any threats that attack it or its owner. This is where the utility comes into play: Karkinos taming!

Karkinos Taming Mount

knows karkinos taming can be rather annoying if you don't have certain items like the net gun. Especially grinding for the resources for a catapult and boulders! However, Amebelodon's ability makes it a living catapult that is much easier to obtain, and the boulders only cost a bit of stamina as it digs up the mud and throws it!

Prime Meat

Even if you don't need one right now or can't tame an Amebelodon, if you kill it, it would drop a substaintial amount of raw prime meat! Perfect for taming even in death!

Taming

To tame Amebelodon, all you'd need to do is simply knock it out and feed it rare flowers! However, berries will suffice, they would just take longer. This makes obtaining an Amebelodon very simple!

Stats

Stat wise it could be similar to a mammoth, being a pachyderm, maybe a bit watered down.

Now you're probably wondering what this thing even looks like...well i present to you....

Since the text isn't as good (apolgies for bad hand-writing)...

Name: Amebelodon

Species: Amebelodon Gemmafodiensis

Time: Miocene

Temperament: Docile

Wild: Of all the creatures I expected to see on this ARK, a pachyderm was definitely NOT one of them. Waddling through the swamps of the fertile zone and swamps of the bioluminescent zones of the caverns, Amebelodon Gemmefodiensis is a mid-sized relative of the elephant that spends its days rooting through the mud around rivers and swamps looking for something to eat. Due to their thick hides, they can be relatively tough to tackle, however, doing so will reward any would-be hunters with a substantial amount of meat, especially so called “prime meat”.

Domesticated: The shovel-tusks of Amebelodon have proven to be a boon to many survivors who are seeking the gemstones found around this ARK. While the Amebelodon is mozzying about, seeking food for itself, it’ll often unearth the various types of gemstones from the mud and dirt. Many survivors often say that their tamed Amebelodons even dug up the rare red gems from the more dangerous parts of the caverns! However, this lumbering giant is not in the slightest bit defenseless. The tusks of Amebelodon are good at one thing: Scooping up mud and stones. When threatened, Amebelodon are able to scoop up rock-filled balls of mud and hurl them at any aggressors. Many resourceful survivors have even used this ability to knock out Karkinos for taming! All in all, with its gem digging and defensive abilities, Amebelodon Gemmefodiensis can surely find a place in any tribe’s stables.

Side note: Amebelodons love rare flowers!
