  1. Meet the shunosaurus! A mid-sized sauropod with a club like appendage in its tail! My idea for the shunosaurus is that its tail club is so dense that it surpasses the ankylosaurus in terms of element harvesting. It would also have a tek saddle that functions like a tek forcefield! WILD: Shunosaurus Scutomtonantis is a mid-sized sauropod that wanders in small herds around the sunken forest to the northwest of the city ruins. These animals spend most of their time foraging for any edible plant life they can find. Their relatively small stature makes them seem like an easy target, however most attackers would quickloy realize just 3what they have angered. The herd mentality of Shunosaurus means that any members of said herd who get attacked will immediately be bolstered by the rest of the herd in an effort to ward off the aggressor. Not to mention the dense club at the tips of their tails! It's like someone shrunk a bronto and glued an ankylo's tail to it! This species' tail club is much denser and stronger than regular shunoaurus specimens I have heard of. They even have shattered the fancy glowy TEK of the future on more than one occasion! One odd behavior I have noticed among Shunosaurus is that they seemingly...I can't believe I'm writing this...recreationally ingest the rare hallucinogenic mushrooms found throughout the forest. Some even seemingly "socialize" with the tips of their tails thinking it's the head of another animal! DOMESTICATED: The dense club-like tails of Shunosaurus make for excellent harvesting tools. Since their tails are so dense and have so much musculature behind them. While not the greatest for stones and metals, they are excellent for shattering the derelict structures found throughout the ruins. We've even managed to teach some of them to harvest element nodes, giving a much higher yield than even the mighty Ankylosaurus! As mentioned before, the Shunosaurus's tail is so powerful that TEK structures can be heavily damaged by it. All of the ruined old structures crumble to pieces when this mighty tail swings into them! Though, since we personally use them for harvesting element to fuel our base, I have heard of integrating TEK into their saddles despite their affinity for damaging it. Something about a "mini tek shield generator"? I don't know. We have bigger things to focus on. So there you have it! My proposition for the Shunosaurus! Here is a rundown of all the abilities: Element harvester The Shunosaurus's tail club would be the best thing in the game for harvesting the element nodes found on extinction. Better than the Ankylosaurs, but unable to harvest stone, flint, metal, obsidian, and crystal to keep tha ankylosaurus relevant Siege animal The shunosaurus would have a TEK saddle with a built in shield generator that would be perfect for laying sieges to other bases by protecting your own party. The shield will function exactly like the MEK or shield generator strucutre. Drop and element node defender Because of the shield generator built into the saddle, the Shunosaurus will be perfect for defending OSDs and element nodes while you and your tribe kill the corrupted hordes coming for you! Resource harvester While unable to harvest mineral resources like stone and metal, the shuno can still harvest the tek ruins on the map yielding large qunatities of scrap metal, crystals, electronics, and element dust from the ruins! TEK shredder The shunosaurus's tail club would already make for a heavy hitter, especaiily towards TEK. This would further be amplified by the TEK saddle worn by the shuno, as it would add armor to the tail club, further reinforcing it! ADDITIONAL NOTES: - Shunosaurus would have a regular saddle that can be used to ride it. The TEK saddle will deal additional damage to TEK tier structures and armor as well as have a built in shield generator. - TEK shield will be smaller than the one from the MEK. Can only be used when stationary. The shuno will be unable to move or attack while the shield is active. - TEK saddle will be unlocked by killing the forest titan. - Shunosaurus WILL NOT be able to harvest rock-based resource nodes, but will be great for tek ruins or element nodes. - Taming will be passive with rare mushrooms - Yes that is a Dinosaur Revolution reference. So anyways, That is my creature! Here are some images to give you an idea of what it looks like! Saddle sketch by me, lineart sketches done by the talented user Danger Floof (@floof_art on discord)
  2. What if it had kinda like tranq torpedoes for the submarine mode to knock out things like mosas and such? That would be really cool and unique
  3. The Center has a big section of ocean, what better way to get around underwater than with a pod of giant ichthyosaurs with orca-like intelligence? Introducing Cympospondylus Orcamimus! A larger cousin to the present ichthyosaurus with the size of a small whale. So what can this creature do? As stated it has orca levels of intelligence, meaning it is a very smart animal and knows its environment well. my proposed abilities for the cymbospondylus are: Pod Buff: Orcas are stronger in pods right? So are cymbospondylus! The larger the pod, the stronger they are! Black Pearl and Ammonite Harvester Due to their high intelligence, these anmials are very efficient in their hunting behaviors. Certain things that they can sncak on, suchas trilobites, eurypterids, and ammonites will yield higher resources such as black pearls and ammonite bile. Since the Cymbo is so smart, it could kill and harvest ammonites without triggering their aggro pheromones! Living Sonar Scanner Similar to the TEK Stryder variant with the sonar scanner that can determine what creatures are in the vicinity and their levels, the echolocation ability of the Cymbospondylus can doexactly that! Looking for a good mosa to tame? Cymbospondylus can help you find it! Deep sea oceanic loot crates? No problem! Cymbo-sonar can scope them out! SUspicious of enemies in your area? The sonar will make all threats known! Momentum Based Long Jump Similar to the momentum ability of the Woolly Rhino, the Cymbospondylus can go from cruising to explosive speed at the push of a button. When breaching, this allows for great distances to be covered. Momentum Based Tail Smack Tired of using tranq arrows and crossbows or harpoon guns and tranq bolts? Ever wish you could take an equus underwater to kncok out that high level plesiosaur? With the aformentioned momentum mechanic, the Cymbospondylus can use its tail to knockout larger undersea creatures with a mighty tail slap! Leedsichthys and Megalodon Deterrent Because I'm basing my cymbo off of modern day Orca, Megalodons will NOT go anywhere near cymbospondylus pods due to the nature of their rivalry. Also, if you have a large enough pod following your raft, leedsichthys will think twice about angering your cymbo pod! This will make the oceans a LOT safer for early players. Underwater Nanny Due to the caring nature of female orcas in the wild, their calves imprint very quickly and learn well. The same is true with this Cymbo! If you need to breed underwater animals to transfer over to fight Moeder, boost them up with the care of Mama Cymbo! To tame this creature, pique the pod's interest by letting them play in the wake of your raft as you sail. Once they have their max effectiveness, jump in the water and feed them fish meat or organic polymer! Now without further ado, here is my custom dossier! Common name: Cymbospondylus Species: Cymbospondylus Orcamimus Time: mid-Triassic Diet: carnivore Temperament: curious Wild: The ocean is no stranger to dangerous creatures, especially this one with all the megalodons, plesiosaurs, and mosasaurs swimming about. However, one species here in particular stands out above the rest. Cymbospondylus Orcamimus is by far one of the most intelligent animals I've encountered here. Although many survivors are alarmed by the sight of a pod of Cymbos tailing their raft, most of these encounters are just Cymbospondylus being curious! My experience with this larger cousin of the native Ichthyosaurus has led me to believe they possess equal intelligence to modern day orcas. The inquisitive and highly social behavior of these animals is not to be taken as weakness however. With a mouth full of needle-sharp teeth and an incredibly muscular tail, these creatures are built to hunt and kill. Like I said: orca-like intelligence. This means they can hold grudges and learn. Not to mention, if you anger one Cymbo, you anger the whole pod. As I stated earlier, most instances of cymbos trailing a raft are out of curiosity. One other thing I have noticed among cymbos is their innate rivalry with Megalodons. Megalodons out right refuse to initiate fights with cymbos and for good reason. Whenever I encounter a pod of Cymbospondylus, I always encounter a gutted megalodon carcass nearby. Domesticated: Due to their intelligence and highly social behavior, Cymbospondylus are fairly easy to tame! I would not recommend trying to tranq one though, as any acts of aggression will be met with the wrath of an angry pod of cymbos. Some of the ocean going tribes have told me their Cymbos routinely enjoy swimming in the wakes of their rafts. That being said, if you want to tame a cymbo, piquing their interest ss a good way to start. Once they have played in the wake of your raft a bit, all you have to do is simply feed it by hand! The Cymbospondylus is a master of ocean life. They use echolocation in order to locate prey! Many survivors have used this to their advantage by having their cymbos track down other deep sea animals as well as loot crates and even enemies! The Cymbo is also fairly adept at extracting rare black pearls from crustaceans it eats and has even been seen hunting ammonites without triggering their pheromone defense! Some tribes have even said that their tamed Cymbos have deterred leedsichthys from attacking their rafts! So as long as you have a big enough pod, not only will megalodons not attack, but leedsichthys too! One final thing to note about the cymbo is its incredibly powerful tail. A Cymbospondylus can go from cruising to explosive bursts of speed seemingly at the push of a button! This allows them to leap out of the water and cover great distances. Underwater however, this momentum has a much more devastating effect. Much like the modern Orca, Cymbos often use their tails as clubs when hunting smaller prey. With enough momentum, this tail slap has been used to concuss larger sea animals for taming I will also be uploading a digital dossier made by discord user DakoTako and their digital talent! In the meantime, have this extra image of this creature to show you a more realistic depiction I hope you will consider my creature for your tame roster on The Center for ASA!
  4. Hello survivors! This is my submission for Aberration on Ark: Survival Ascended: Amebelodon Gemmafodiensis. A relative of the modern elephant with shovel-like tusks on its lower jaw that it used to dig up plants and other things to eat from the mud in the swamps it called home. That being said, this Amebelodon would live in the Fertile Zone (green) and Bioluminescent Zone (blue). Passive Gem Collecting My idea is that, similar to wild roll rats, it can dig up the green, blue, and red gems found on the map, but depending on where it digs will determine the typoe of gems found. FOr example, green and blue gems can be found in the fertile zone and blue and red gems can be found in the bioluminescent zone. It can even do this while tamed ensureing a safe and reliable way to passively collect gems as it wanders around looking for food! Living Catapult The other ability I propose is similar to the Chalicotherium. However, since there are no chalicotherium on Aberration, Amebelodon will take its place! Amebelodon's lower mandible would be able to scoop up a glob of rock-laden mud and be able to lob it at any threats that attack it or its owner. This is where the utility comes into play: Karkinos taming! Karkinos Taming Mount knows karkinos taming can be rather annoying if you don't have certain items like the net gun. Especially grinding for the resources for a catapult and boulders! However, Amebelodon's ability makes it a living catapult that is much easier to obtain, and the boulders only cost a bit of stamina as it digs up the mud and throws it! Prime Meat Even if you don't need one right now or can't tame an Amebelodon, if you kill it, it would drop a substaintial amount of raw prime meat! Perfect for taming even in death! Taming To tame Amebelodon, all you'd need to do is simply knock it out and feed it rare flowers! However, berries will suffice, they would just take longer. This makes obtaining an Amebelodon very simple! Stats Stat wise it could be similar to a mammoth, being a pachyderm, maybe a bit watered down. Dossier Now you're probably wondering what this thing even looks like...well i present to you.... MY HAND DRAWN DOSSIER!!!!!! Also a few better quality images found online including a size reference! Since the text isn't as good (apolgies for bad hand-writing)... Name: Amebelodon Species: Amebelodon Gemmafodiensis Time: Miocene Temperament: Docile Wild: Of all the creatures I expected to see on this ARK, a pachyderm was definitely NOT one of them. Waddling through the swamps of the fertile zone and swamps of the bioluminescent zones of the caverns, Amebelodon Gemmefodiensis is a mid-sized relative of the elephant that spends its days rooting through the mud around rivers and swamps looking for something to eat. Due to their thick hides, they can be relatively tough to tackle, however, doing so will reward any would-be hunters with a substantial amount of meat, especially so called “prime meat”. Domesticated: The shovel-tusks of Amebelodon have proven to be a boon to many survivors who are seeking the gemstones found around this ARK. While the Amebelodon is mozzying about, seeking food for itself, it’ll often unearth the various types of gemstones from the mud and dirt. Many survivors often say that their tamed Amebelodons even dug up the rare red gems from the more dangerous parts of the caverns! However, this lumbering giant is not in the slightest bit defenseless. The tusks of Amebelodon are good at one thing: Scooping up mud and stones. When threatened, Amebelodon are able to scoop up rock-filled balls of mud and hurl them at any aggressors. Many resourceful survivors have even used this ability to knock out Karkinos for taming! All in all, with its gem digging and defensive abilities, Amebelodon Gemmefodiensis can surely find a place in any tribe’s stables. Side note: Amebelodons love rare flowers! I hope you like my creature submission! If you did, please be sure to give it a vote! -demonelite12
