Saichania is known as the "Beautiful one" and that title is well deserved. Saichania is a genus of herbivorous ankylosaurid dinosaur from the Late Cretaceous period of Mongolia and China. Saichania was more robustly built than other members of the Ankylosauridae, measuring 16–23 ft in length and 1.5–2.2 short tons in body mass. Neck vertebrae, shoulder girdle, ribs and breast bones were fused or firmly connected. Its body was flat and low-slung, standing on four short legs. The forelimbs were very powerful. The head was protected by bulbous armour tiles. It could defend itself against predators like Tarbosaurus with a tail-club. On the torso keeled osteoderms were present.
Wild:
Saichanias are extremely territorial and are aggressive to whomever decides to approach them, yet their main goal is not to kill but to defend themselves. They will usually just stun survivors and then walk away. (If attacked they will kill). If survivors wish to tame it, it's recommended that survivors approach the Saichania with ghillie armor.
Taming:
In order to get a Saichania, a survivor must come equipped with sulfur. Once the survivor is close enough, it must crouch and the approach the beast and then initiate the taming mini game; In this mini game the survivor will grab on to the tail of the Saichania and time perfectly when to give it sulfur. If the survivor happens to not give the sulfur on time it will be slammed to the ground by the beast's destructive tail.
Tamed:
After swinging around on a Saichania's tail you will now find a very special creature on your arsenal.
It can dig and make a temporary house in case of a sandstorm, where you can also deposit items and pick them up later.
It can locate stuff under ground such as artifacts, drops or even ruins and with it the best and easiest path towards certain things. It can also detect golems, purlovias and death worms.
Helpful in raids due to its armor.
Personal thoughts:
Saichania would be slightly bigger than an Ankylosaurus and faster in a sandstorm. (Speaking of Ankylosaurus, how is this not just a reskin?) Saichania will not have the ability to gather rocks but it will have the ability to smash through them.(Helpful to clear space for building)
When killed, Saichania will drop a special bone plate which can help increase the durability of any armor but it will also make said armor heavier.
Commands:
Right click: Tail swing (builds up torpor and stuns but does not gather)
Left click: Head butt (gathers berries)
C : Dig in
X: Ground slam (stuns small creatures: forces purlovias out of their hiding spots+stuns them)
Space: Locates artifacts, ruins, drops, and underground enemies.
