Origin: Originating from the Greek term "ὀκτώπους", Octopi are 8-legged sea creatures who have a rich history of unique abilities which allowed them to survive for millions of years.

Species: Cephalopod

Time Period: Late Cambrian

Diet: Carnivores

 

Wild:

Octopus are known as elite hunters. Able to completely disguise themselves, and master escape artists, being able to fit through anything that their beak can fit in. They tend to wander the sea floor in full disguise, waiting for their prey to come close enough for an opportunity. Even species of this creature in small size, have been known to fight off the likes of creatures like whales and sharks. 

 

Domesticated:

With its body being 90% muscle, this creature is able to manage multiple different situations without distraction. Octopi are known to be able to recognizes faces outside of its own species. Being able to build a companionship with humans. Being one of the smartest creatures in the ocean, the Octopus is capable of protecting others, while being able to hold its own. 

 

Abilities:

Primary Attack - A ranged tentacle lash that's capable of knocking back enemies. 

Secondary Attack - Grabs the enemy with one of its main "two" tentacles. The largest sized creature it can grab is a megalodon.

C Key / Third Ability - Camouflages the rider and itself, becoming invisible in the ocean.

 

While grabbed,

Primary Attack - Constricts the enemy, taking damage constantly.

Secondary Attack - Releases the grabbed enemy. 

 

This dino has a 360 maneuverability, allowing it to spin in a 360-degree direction rather than needing a turning mechanic, allowing it to use its tentacles more proficiently. This dino would also have the ability to move up and down with the Space Key and X Key.
