Fishing is a near useless mechanic nowadays since the only thing it is good for is getting BPs, and for those running caves is always more lucrative, faster and less boring. Add to that that the fishing loot tables are outdated more than shakespearean english, not including any DLC Content or creatures added within the last 5 years, and not including any of the popular saddles people go for by default for bossing, like rexes deinons theris and megatheriums, and you got yourself a mechanic you wont even find used on pve servers with tripled fishing loot, with the exception of people who killed an alpha tuso, obtained a 300+% rod by chance and thought theyd try their luck.
