Antarctopelta, the frozen ankylosaur!

Type44

Suggestion

Antarctopelta would be docile, herbivorous, and slightly smaller than Ankylosaurus. Antarctopelta can be sometimes seen in mountains and wandering along the snow biomes. The Antarctopelta can change it’s body temperature, depending on the temperature of it’s surroundings. When it is cold, it’s spike tips will glow orange, and it will have an aura around it, (similar to that of a campfire), and when it is hot, it’s spike tips will glow a sky blue, and have an aura around it (similar to that of a preserving bin). When activated, it can insulate it’s rider, and the creatures surrounding it. Antarctopelta are also a passive tame, which requires the player to set Dimetrodons (amount of Dimetrodons vary based on level) on wandering. The Dimetrodons will gather around the Antarctopelta, which will soothe it, and make it tameable. Once the Antarctopelta is surrounded by Dimetrodons, you may start feeding it berries, like you would any other passive tame. But be wary, similarly to a Basilosaurus, powerful carnivores, like Tyrannosaurus and Allosaurus will be attracted to wild Antarctopelta due to their insulating ability, and while they won’t attack the Antarctopelta, they will most certainly attack you. You can unlock the Antarctopelta saddle at Level 55. They can break rocks, and are a great harvester of flint. The Antarctopelta is slow, with a similar speed to Doedicurus or Ankylosaurus. They can jump, and are a possible mount for caves.
