The Ark genus of Neochorus is near 4 times the size of a normal capybara. It is an agile mount, faster than a Procoptodon at full momentum! Fragile but rideable without a saddle, the addition of one gives the Neochoerus great protection against huge predators.

LOCATION

Neochoerus can be found in flat, open areas. This means apex predators will be searching for them as their prey, so you must be careful when taking them!

TAMING

To tame one, you must tire it by running its stamina down. Neochoerus is flighty on straights, but struggles with sharp turns. Once tired out, it will fall asleep, allowing you to tame it with rare flowers. Make sure you don’t leave it alone, as the flowers will aggravate any nearby species!

TAMED NEOCHOERUS

A tamed Neochoerus is no tank! It is a travelling mount, a fluffy get-there or get-away. No saddle is needed to ride it. But using the saddle unlocked at level 48 will increase its defensive capabilities, and allow it to reach full momentum much faster!

                                                                                  Name: Neochoerus

                                                                                  Species: Neochoerus Aesopi

                                                                                  Diet: Herbivorous

                                                                                  Temperament: Passive and neutral

 Description

Neochoerus was a more or less large species of rodent, it reaching a length of 1 meter and a half and a height of 65 cm, this rodent lived just 12,000 years ago compared to today, in Norteamerica, it becoming the closest ancestor of the current most modern Capybaras.

     Temperament

These prehistoric rodents will be peaceful and neutral at the same time, that is to say, we can find them in two ways on the map, lonely, they will be mostly harmless and will run away from you if you attack them or if they see danger nearby and in groups of up to 3 maximum, these, being together, will provide more security among themselves, reaching the extreme of being neutral and will attack if they are disturbed

     Habitat and Domesticated

Neochoerus used to live in open places so that it could see its predators from a distance. If we take this into account within ARK, we can say that its ideal place would be in meadows with little vegetation and in wide savannahs. To tame this mammal we will have to take into account several factors. First, we can only tame those that are lonely, it is a herbivorous species, it will have to be given a berry passively (especially blueberries),then another animal that is near it (Moschops, Phioma, Ovyraptor or Lystrosaurios) They will carry a buff or pink aura on their back, indicating that this dino will have to be tamed or defended for a period of 2 minutes from other dangers that are in the area. Once the dino with the pink aura has been tamed, our Neochoerus will consider us as his defenders, proceeding to tame himself along with the other tamed dino.

As we have already mentioned, this rodent, being herbivorous, will feed on berries and vegetables, its favorite food being Blueberries, although it can also feed on berries > vegetable cakes > foods (carrot, potatoes and corn on the cob).

     Skills

1.- It will bring 10 extra levels to any dino that already has all levels up, (Chibi for a dinos). This rodent will have an option in its interaction menu that when enabled, will redisplay a 10 meter range, in which any other tamed dino found in it, (Example Rex), a 180 second effect will be attached to it, where the Rex will have to kill alphas in order to level up its additional 10 levels.

2.- If this dino is near an egg about to hatch, there will be a 20% chance that the dino will hatch with a mutation.

3.- It will increase breeding speed by 5% more and health regeneration for other dinos, in a range of 15 meters.

4.- As in the case of the Ferox or the Mesopithécus, Neochoerus can also put an accessory on his head such as a helmet.

5.- This rodent will also have the function of collecting some resources such as wood, straw and fiber, as well as food such as berries.

6- In your inventory you can better preserve food, as if it were a canning drawer or the fridge.
