Description: Many consider the Arks sauropod population to be gentle giants, only aggressive if provoked and usually tolerant of many species. On the other end of the spectrum there is apatosaurus. This sauropod is distinguishable thanks to its bright blue and red coloration, proportionally shorter neck, and four distinctive rows of sharp spikes lining the bottom of its neck. The method in which it uses these spikes is rather gruesome, however. Apatosaurus is extremely territorial, taking offense to any creature that comes too close. Once spotted the apatosaurus will bellow loudly while charging, moving faster than something of its size would be expected to. If the invader does not retreat the sauropod will then do one of two things. The first would be using its massive tail as a biological whip, strong enough to shatter bone and fast enough to break the sound barrier. If hit by this, most smaller creatures will die instantly. However should it want a more forward approach, the apatosaurus may rear onto it's hind limbs, using its tail like a tripod, and use the two sharp claws on its feet to gore any larger opponent, simultaneously raking its neck across the creatures back, the rows of spikes running along its neck raking through skin and flesh while it used it's bulk to shove the victim to the ground, where it will usually be finished off with a violent stomp. Truly a creature not to be trifled with.
Trivia: Apatosaurus is the polar opposite of its harmless relative. With its spiked neck and whip tail, it can reduce almost any who invade its territory into little more than a distant memory with ease.
Art: Reptile Boy
A more offensive battle sauropod with possible stance change mechanics to allow a differing variety of attacks. Maybe a saddle with side cannons or something idk
Suggestion
VoldtheMantis
Name: Apatosaurus iratus (Angry deceptive lizard)
Temperament: Aggressive
Habitat: Open forests, jungle outskirts, redwoods
