Can colour mutations be inherited separately from its stats mutation?

I understand that when a mutation happens, it always happens in both colour(could be visible or invisible for unused regions) and stats at the same time. My question is: is it possible to breed to have them inherited saparately? For example, even though I want to keep the mutation colour I want to get rid of the stats mutation because it is in movement points and is useless. Or, I want to keep a melee damage stat mutation even though the colour mutation that happened at the same time is ugly.
