Dino auto decay after taming

I was wondering if this is a common problem. I knocked out a rock elemental and put kib in him and left. When the tribe log said it was tamed I went to grab it and it was gone and could not find it anywhere. looked at the tribe log and a few seconds latter it pops up in log that the rock elemental had auto decayed. it was literally maybe 2 min after taming and poof gone.

Are you playing on your dedicated server or unofficial pc server?  You can disable auto delete of decayed dino's; check that setting.  If not your server, check with the admin of the server for their settings.

There are a couple of settings on unofficial pc servers that change the time for decay of tames and structures.  If you are not sure go back to default settings.
