MimiNuyasaka Posted September 23, 2017 Share Posted September 23, 2017 I recently set up a cluster server and I have exclusive join turned on. I'm not new to server hosting but ARK Server Manager is new to me. Is there any way to add people to the exclusive join list without needing to restart the server each time? I tried adding the notepad file with allowed steam IDs and saved it but it still needed a restart. Thanks. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
thuggers Posted September 26, 2017 Share Posted September 26, 2017 MimiNuyasaka, No you would need to restart the server every time you make changes to the whitelist as that information is set in the configuration files and would only be read by the server as it is initializing. I have our cluster set to Auto update once or twice a day, if the change is not critical I make the changes in ASM and then let them come online at the servers normal update time. I only restart server manually if there is some pressing need for the changes to happen immediately.
