The Valley
This map is almost completely finished and totally ready to play! The surface and underground areas are completely done. I just have to finish the hardest difficulty bosses and am still working the map improving the bossing system and adding some unique features to the map, fixing bugs and adding a few new base spots here and there. This map focuses on providing a slightly different bossing experience by having shared map bosses like extinction but progressing from mid-game tier bosses to insanely hard encounters. I also want the bosses to be completely customisable in that the user of the map can add in their ini file a list of potential bosses for each tier and choose from a list of possible buffs to balance them. This ark is set in a valley nestled between the mountains. It is a cold place with several distinct and unique biomes. The map is about the same size possibly slightly smaller than the island. The map has the following biomes: River Basin - This is a large open plain surrounding the river which provides a relatively safe start for any new survivor. Freya Mountains - These high mountains are home to many creatures that prefer the cold forests here. Redwoods - Nestled in the valleys between the mountains it is warm enough to support these massive trees. Valley of the gods - The northern part of the valley has massive rock spired carved out of limestone which supports the temperate rainforest environment. Drei Zinnen (Three Peaks) - These cold barren plateaus are dangerous places but many good resources can be found here. Death Plateau - The corruption has found it\'s way into this part of the valley so only the strongest non-corrupted are left living here. Underground Pass - It is warm enough down here to support the growth of mushrooms and cave dwelling creatures. The map has all of the unique aberration creatures except reapers, all of the extinction creatures except titans currently (I may add them as non-tameable bosses in the hard tier but Im not sure yet), and it only has rock golems and wyverns from scorched earth. There are also no ice wyverns or griffins. I will have a look and see how to add the new deinonychus though for a potential future update because I think it would fit in well with this map. I have made these dino choices because I don't like the idea of one map to rule them all so I want there to still be a reason to travel to the other maps. Most resources are available on the map the only things not currently on the map is sand. All engrams are available on the map. I want the bossing system to be a bit different from normal ark. The hard tier will be about the same level as current alpha bosses except easier because there are no dino restrictions. I want the insane tier to be difficult even with an army of breed dinos. Each biome except the river Basin has its own spawning arena for a total of five different arenas. Why make this map?

I want the bossing system to be a bit different from normal ark. Firstly I want there to be some progression to the system. So the easy boss can be completed mid-game with a few good mounts. Medium is with a few high tier Dino's such as rexes. The hard tier will be about the same level as current alpha bosses except easier because there are no dino restrictions. I want the insane tier to be difficult even with an army of breed dinos.
