  1. Introducing Gojirasaurus, Titan Incarnate! Blast apart foes with beams of corrupt-powered energy and violent eruptions of power. Support your forces by heading them into battle and recovering even their deadliest wounds in the heart of combat! Note: Please take a look over the entire dossier before you come to a decision, there may be something you don't like or something you think could be improved or maybe you think its perfect, feedback in the comments would be massively appreciated! Real Life: Common Name: Gojirasaurus Species: Gojirasaurus Titanus (Origionally the species is Gojirasaurus Quayi however changed this to account for the changes to the creature, like how the Raptor was changed to Utahraptor Primus) Time Period: Triassic Diet: Carnivore (Gastrolith) Temperament: Aggressively Territorial Real life depiction: Dossier: Wild: The Corrupted monsters of this earth get no stranger than the Gojirasaurus Titanus, adorning it in flowing veins of pure energy it can expel to deadly effect. it stands upright in a posture not unlike its distant Raptor cousins, but much larger, marking shoulders with the Megalosaurus. Unlike other carnivores, Gojirasaurus feeds primarily on crystallised sap and gems found rarely among dead trees, alongside a craving obsession for sulphur-infused water from its habitat. The minerals in these materials combine with a corrupted trait from its bloodstream, lighting the substance into fiery energy, pulsating through its veins. The marks left by their veined feet leave explosive pads of this substance, and when its stomps down in rage, the blast is almost nuclear. In fact the alterations run so deep through its biology that its mouth has developed into what appears like a barrel from advanced firearms. I've seen the beast release beams of red flaming energy from its mouth, tearing through an entire pack of corrupted dinosaurs in an instant, like something out of the old movies. Domesticated: I once heard tales of a daring group of survivors who attempted to domesticate a Gojirasaurus. They approached silently while the creature rested and vented heat from its open wide maw, attempting to feed it the flesh of corrupted dinosaurs it seems to constantly hunt down within its territory. I'm told the affect was rather the opposite, transforming the Gojiasaurus into an uncontrollable corrupted monster, that tore through them with swarms of corrupt creatures surging to its aid. Perhaps if they were to have survived and attempted to cure the infection, the beast might have succumbed to their will. I can only fear how deadly its abilities would be in combat against any threat that came to face its master. Reminiscent perhaps of the colossal titans its name derives from. Tamed Abilities: Moveset: Primary (Left Click, R2, RT) : Regular melee that varies depending on direction faced; Front- Wide bite that deals high damage but is slow; Sides- Claw swipe that has good reach with medium damage and knockback; Back- Stomp that has good reach, dealing high damage and knockback. All sides except back can be used while running and chain with tail attack. Bite Marks enemies for 10 seconds of Gojirasaurus projectiles homing onto them Secondary (Right Click, L2, LT) : Initiates crosshair for energy attacks that consume energy substance pressing once releases a ball of energy that explodes on contact but travels fast and deals medium damage, consuming little substance and homes onto marked enemies. Holding will slow Gojirasaurus to a crawl but unleash a wide beam of energy with long reach dealing DOT damage to enemies and buffing allies, Consuming substance and stamina quickly. Both energy attacks change drastically on different substance consumption. Substance can be chosen via a scroll wheel by holding (F key, Square, X) : GREEN Sap/Gems: Heals tamed creatures and decreases Health regen of enemies. However deals the lowest DOT damage of all four. Mainly for support BLUE Sap/Gems: Speed boosts tamed creatures and Slows down enemies. Deals medium DOT damage. Mainly for debuffing for other beams RED Sap/Gems: Ignores tamed creatures and applies a light burn to enemies. Deals high DOT damage. Mainly for offence CORRUPT NODULES: Ignores tamed creature and Reduces damage reduction of enemies AND applies light burn. Deals the highest DOT damage. Mainly for POWER BUT comes with a cost... a 'Corruption bar' appears that fills as corrupt nodules are used and gradually goes down over time like an overheat. If the 'Corruption bar' is filled the rider is Kicked off and the Gojirasaurus transforms into its Corrupt state, attacking anything nearby with corrupt energy. This lasts 45 seconds at which point the Gojirasaurus transforms back to normal affected with cryo sickness. During its Corrupt state it is Extremely Powerful, so it can be used wisely. Tertiary (C key, R3, Joystick) : Vents out heat and regains stamina faster by erupting projectiles from its spines carpet-bombing in a cone in front of it, that deal low damage but induce gem effects. Homes into marked enemies. HOLDING DOWN the key instead charges a huge stomp as energy rushes to the feet, causing a large explosion that damages the Gojirasaurus and the rider slightly but large damage and knockback to enemies/allies alongside gem induced effect. Consumes a large amount of substance and initiates a ten second period of fast stamina regen where energy attacks can't be used and movement is slowed - also expels the full 'Corruption bar'. For a last ditch effort to expel threats Tail Attack (X key, R1, RB) : Tail whip attack that hits around back and to the side like a stego, high damage and knockback but cant be used while running and is slow. Can chain with Primary attacks. HOLDING DOWN the key charges a tail wave of energy power that pierces and travels further the longer it is held. Inflicts gem effects on allies/enemies it passes through and deals medium damage and knockback but consumes a large amount of substance. For clearing the field Rush Mode (Space bar, X, A) : Activates Rush Mode while sprinting, increasing speed, reducing stamina consumed, consuming substance, creating footprints of gem energy in its wake and granting tek boots affect and letting it grapple over low surfaces similiar to Megalania climbing on the ground. NOTE: It cannot climb surfaces, only grapple over terrain that isn't any higher than itself. For leading the charge GREEN Sap/Gem: Heals creatures that follow the prints BLUE Sap/Gems: Speed boosts creatures that follow the tracks to the speed of Gojirasaurus. Similiar to Tropeo slipstream RED Sap/Gems: Damages creatures that follow the tracks as they explode beneath them CORRUPT NODULES: Damages and slows down creatures that follow the tracks. Slowly builds the aforementioned 'Corruption Bar' Other Abilities: Hydration Bar Upkeep: Gojirasaurus has a 'Hydration' bar similar to a Morellatops that must be filled with water to keep it alive. When it has sulphur in its inventory, putting it near water or providing water via canteens and the like will fill its Hydration bar and keep the energy flowing through its veins. Letting the bar drop to 0 will disable all energy abilities and begin to damage the Gojirasaurus, dealing more and more DOT until it dies. This upkeep can be taken care of by housing it out of cryopods near a water tap, and gives a penalty for housing such a powerful beast. You can also keep filled canteens or water holders in its inventory so it can keep itself pumping energy. Venting: Gojirasurus can be commanded to vent its heat and sit down while unridden. This will regain stamina and health much faster than regular and maybe will also effect the nearby area like an air conditioner. Also it looks cool Gathering: Gojirasaurus is no brilliant gatherer, only getting limited resources from corpses and rocks. Its Primary attacks can gather meats and corpse loot alongside a gathering of Raw Salt straight from the creatures bones as the pure energy in its mouth breaks them down. It can gather small amounts of thatch from trees and berries with its tail attack, but mainly the tail attack gathers large amounts of sulphur from rocks and crystalised sap from trees. Taming: To begin taming you need to wait for one to lie down and open its mouth to vent out heat. At this point approach carefully with ghille and you can feed it a full stack of corrupted nodules to transform it into its Corrupt State. This is a mini-boss alike the Reaper Queen that calls in corrupted dinos to help it, including an Enraged creature when its health/torpor is low. Dealing damage to it also builds up torpor, if your damage output is inconsistent it will recover torpor and lose health. If it dies the taming will end. Taming effectiveness increases the more corrupted creatures you kill during the fight alongside feeding. When it goes down, its corruption will detonate away, killing all nearby corrupted creatures and transforming it back to normal to begin feeding. ALTERNATIVELY it can be fed a titan head trophy while venting, which instead will transform it for only 20s of time which you must survive then it will be knocked out with full effectiveness. This is to make mass taming easier and for PvP players who are unable to do a huge fight in unclaimed territory It must be fed Gems or Crystalised sap as its kibble, Red being best and Green being worst. It can also be fed sulphur or flint or rocks instead and will continue to eat only sulphur, flint, stone, and meats for healing once it is tamed. To Conclude: Thank for reading my suggestion for Gojirasaurus! My aim for this creature was to create a battle beast to bring on the Titans and OSDs around Extinction. My ideas may be a little over the top and probably very Overpowered in the game, but I think the OG finale deserves a creature as powerful as Gojirasaurus. I'm mainly a PVE player, so any PVP heads out there, what do you think of my ideas? I tried to bear its utility in mind, being not just a walking lazer gun, but able to heal, speed boost and lead tames around combat. The taming method is challenging to compensate for its abilities and also because we need more interesting taming methods in the game overall. Do bear in mind not all of what you see here will make it if the creature actually comes into the game, its only inspiration. All that aside, I hope you would like to vote for my suggestion and have a Great rest of your Day!
  2. Common name: Alectrosaurus Species: Alectrosaurus corafulgur Time: Late Cretaceous Diet: Carnivore Temperament: Aggressive Wild: The effects that Element has on living organisms is both fascinating, and horrific. And the creatures that are able overcome the corruption, moreso. Take Alectrosaurus corafulgur for example. Its heart has nearly been taken over by Element! I have concluded that this unique adaptation has some ups and downs. On one hand, this so-called "Element enhancement" has greatly improved the Alectrosaurus’ agility, far beyond anything I've ever seen. However, with its heart practically exposed, it leaves Alectrosaurus with one big and obvious weak spot. Excessive damage to what is essentially a reactor core in its chest may provide… “explosive” results. If ever confronted by one, be sure to use this to your advantage! Domesticated: The Survivors I’ve met have been able to do some of the most extraordinary things with a domesticated Alectrosaurus. When asleep, an Alectrosaurus’ “heartbeat” produces a sort of pulse energy. Some have been able to harness this energy in a way to power their electronic systems not unlike a Tek Generator, no wires needed! Others have discovered that providing an Alectrosaurus with pure Element can enhance its physical abilities even further!
  3. Hey, did you know that some fossils are radioactive? While sadly not from the dinos themselves, the process of fossilization can often deposit radioactive minerals into the place where dinosaur bones were. So, on the map with the largest deposits of radioactive materials in the game, what better way to ignore the first point than to introduce the dinosaur scientists only discovered thanks to being radioactive? Common Name: Jimmadseni, sometimes shortened to “Jimmy” Species: Allosaurus Jimmadseni Diet: Carnivore Temperament: Aggressive Wild: Y’know, between all the flying squids, invisible dragons, and mutant demons straight from a horror movie, I had almost forgotten that the actual dinosaurs living on the ARKs where just as dangerous. Emphasis on almost there, because the Allosaurus Jimmadseni has been a well-needed reminder of this fact. Ofcourse, it probably helps that this thing’s also just as much of a monster as everything else down in the lower caverns. While many creatures have adapted to withstand the element’s radiation, Jimmadseni has completely embraced it. Greedily taking the stuff into itself and always looking for more. Jimmadseni may not have as strong of a bite as many other carnivores, but it’s hardly needed. Powerful legs mean that not much can outrun it. And just like the Komodo Dragon, noxious saliva ensures that anything which does escape won’t be going very far. Though instead of a cesspit of deadly bacteria, it’s radioactive waste that gets into the target’s bloodstream. And if all that wasn’t enough, putting the Jimmadseni under enough stress seems to trigger the element in it’s skeletal structure to go critical and put the beast into meltdown, greatly increasing it’s fighting prowess at the cost of its own body. Just being near the thing while it’s in this state is enough to poison anything unprotected. Taming: While the internal mechanisms that allow Jimmadseni to live its element-lush life make it highly resistant to tranquilizers, an oddity I’ve found is that being under meltdown seems to put its body under too much stress to fight off narcotics like it normally does. Ofcourse, just beating the beast down will make you end up with a corpse before any sort of knockout can occur. However, some persistent survivors have discovered that enough charge light will also cause the element within Jimmadseni to go critical. Just being around a charge pet won’t be enough to cause a reaction though, you need a lot more juice in way less time. Edmund’s charge lamps are able to do the trick. And some of the crackshots I’ve met have found that a well-placed plant species Z seed can be thrown down its throat and cause a reaction from the inside. Domesticated: A well-trained Jimmadseni is a sight to behold. Not only does it have a powerful bite with an even more powerful after-bite. But powerful legs make it one of the fastest creatures in it’s weight class, even able to leap across massive gaps and clamber up small cliffs. Even more than that though, Jimmadseni’s valued for its natural affinity for Element. Not only does it attack any creatures with it in their system with a hungry fervor, but its teeth are frequently shed and embedded within its prey. And while these are normally swallowed and re-incorporated, shed teeth can be gathered and used into a variety of uses. They can be ground down and the element within distilled, they can be made into a potent tincture that binds to radioactive particles in one’s bloodstream and reduces their severity, or can even be used to tip metal arrows for a bit extra bite. Plus, as a bonus, Santiago’s boys figured out how to tap into the Jimmadseni’s passive energy reserves with a saddle. Not enough to power a whole base; atleast not with an amount that’s practical. But more than enough to power a built-in floodlight and fabricator without the devil even noticing! Alright, with the flavor text out of the way, let’s talk about what this thing actually does. COMBAT Jimmadseni is a force to be reckoned with on the battlefield. While not particularly hearty compared to many of the other creatures on Aberration, it’s bite is incredibly powerful for it’s size; slightly larger than the island’s own Allosaurus; and is only made stronger by the after-effects. When attacking, Jimmadseni will apply the nuclear spit debuff onto foes. Not only does this drain a bit of stamina and health over it’s duration, but it will also lower the creature’s armor and damage resistance by 33% from all sources. So even just having one or two in your dino packs can make a massive difference. Each bite applies the debuff for 5 seconds, but the duration stacks upto a minute. Though creatures immune to radiation resistent to its effect; only gaining being debuffed for 3 seconds at a time with a cap of 45 seconds, and certain creatures like Reapers, nameless, and the various TEK creatures are completely immune to the venom’s effects. That’s not to say these creatures are safe though, because the Jimmadseni will also deal massively increased damage against any creature sufficiently imbued with element. While not a comprehensive list, think Reapers, Nameless, Seekers, Corrupted dinos, Tek dinos, those sorts of things. The Jimmadseni’s powerful legs also let it leap forward to drop-kick targets. While this doesn’t apply the debuff that it’s bite does and leaves it vulnerable for a second or two afterwards, it is however a great option to close gaps and leaves the target dazed for a moment; similar to the trike’s charge. And ofcourse, if put under enough stress, the Jimmadseni will enter a Meltdown. A massive spike in power for an already intimidating creature, at the cost of it’s own body. Like the giga, the Jimmadseni has a rage meter that fills up as it takes damage, though it won’t turn against it’s tribe once it fills up and goes supercritical. And this effect can be forced to occur by either blasting the Jimmadseni with a charge lantern, or by feeding it Plant Species Z fruits from it’s inventory. During a meltdown, the Jimmadseni will receive the following effects: Lights up like a Christmas tree, letting everything nearby know how f***** they are Bites deal significantly more damage and apply 2x the venom duration per bite. Speed and agility are greatly increased, while stamina consumption is completely removed from all actions Can break metal-tier structures It takes 50% more damage from all sources and receives 50% less protection from armor. It will begin to loose health at a moderate rate It will apply radiation sickness to any living thing nearby that isn’t immune. The dropkick attack has less recovery time and has a larger AOE The otherwise cosmetic roar will instead erupt with the force of a thousand suns and apply significant knockback to anything nearby. A Jimmadseni undergoing a meltdown may be one of the most terrifying things you can face. It is, however, not invincible. Not only does the extra damage taken mean it can quickly be overwhelmed if not careful, but it’s also still vulnerable to any form of crowd control, such as Knockback, a Reaper King’s cocooning venom, or a well-placed net gun. Mobility While not quite as agile as many of Aberration’s other denizens, that doesn’t mean Jimmadseni is being left in the dust. Powerful legs make it one of, if not the fastest creature in its weight class, able to keep up with just about anything that has legs. Said legs also make it an excellent jumper. While lacking the height or sheer distance of Karkinos and Reapers, it is still able to cover a ton of distance to cross any chasms or gaps you might come across. And if that’s not quite enough, it even has a limited climbing ability that lets it scramble up short walls, meaning it can use a lot of shortcuts inaccessible to other creatures. It’s also a decent swimmer, and is immune to the effect of element water. Utility, Taming, and Other: Per the Dossier, taming the Jimmadseni is no mean feat, as it’s normally immune to the effects of tranquilizing poison. However, forcing into a meltdown will make it vulnerable enough to tranquilize. This is best done by either blasting it with a high-powered charge lantern, or by throwing a well-placed Plant Species Z fruit down it’s throat when it roars. Unlike Reapers and Nameless, Jimmadseni stores it’s element in it’s skeletal structure, making it unaffected by passive sources of charge light such as light pets or plant species Z. Once Knocked Out, Jimmadseni eats meat and kibble like other carnivores; preferring extraordinary kibble to be specific. But it can also eat Element Ore with the effectiveness of prime meat, or refined element as a kibble alternative. It’s eggs would also be extraordinary tear, making them a good source of kibble on Aberration. Due to it’s element-hungry nature, the Jimmadseni is supremely effective at harvesting element dust from any creature that drops it, and can even find whole shards in rare instances. It also collects these resources from any creature it gets a damage boost against. Furthermore, killing any creature with the Jimmadseni can drop a few of it’s teeth; which grow and shed like Shark’s teeth. These teeth can be ground for a bit of extra dust, used to make elixirs that cure and give brief immunity to the radiation sickness and nuclear venom effects, or made into a new varient of the metal arrow that deals a bit less damage, but also bypasses a portion of enemy defense. The saddle for the Jimmadseni is also unique. Not only does it feature a floodlight on the creature’s head, but it also has a built-in fabricator, both of which are powered by the Jimmadseni’s own power reserves. These even get massively overclocked when the wearer has a meltdown, making it a great; if not moderately dangerous way to craft all those bullets you need. Oh, and sense I haven’t mentioned it yet, this thing spawns mostly in the red zone if that wasn’t obvious enough. Though you might be unfortunate enough to find one in the depths of the blue zone. A couple other notes I’d like to add separately, the Jimmadseni’s glow during meltdown would probably just be an element purple, but it could also be tied to one of the creature’s color regions, giving breeders another goal to go after. And if Wildcard wanted to be really evil, there could also be permanently-supercritical Jimmadseni on the surface. Because who said Reapers where dangerous enough? In total, while large Therapods are, admittedly, significantly overdone in these votes. I hope that Jimmadseni’s role as a true glass canon combined with it’s integrations with Aberration’s unique mechanics would make it a natural addition for the depths of ARK’s best map.
  4. Saurophaganax, The Fear Factor For a creature whose name means ‘lord of lizard-eaters’ I think only a true lord of combat is appropriate. Here’s my idea for the creature, and before you turn away saying it’s only another large therapod, see if you like my ideas first! And I apologise for the long read, I just have so many ideas for this tyrant of the past! Recreation of Saurophaganax Appearance Ideas: The Sauro would be a low leaning therapod like the Baryonx, being around 11-13m in real life, in ark it would be sized about in the middle of a Yuty and an Allo, so by no means the biggest of the bunch, hence it’s much faster speed, being able to run at a fast pace to catch prey. It would have long claws and a terrifying face perhaps similar to the Vastatasaurus from Peter Jackson’s King Kong and sporting the head crests like it’s smaller cousin Allosaurus. It would have small feathery frills and jagged spine banks running down its back and tail and thick heavy scales along its hide similiar to monsters such as the Indominus Rex from Jurassic World. It could also have some reversed scales on its thighs and arms like the dragons of mythology where it is said touching a reversed dragon scale incites it’s true rage, almost as though touching it is death. I would like it to have a vibrant pallete of colour along its back and thighs in a ‘paint pouring’ effect like the Saurophaganax from Dinosaur King. During the ‘Dominance’ affect it has, frills would flare up across its body and its nostrils and mouth will flare and release steam. It could have meat bags similiar to the hyenadon on its saddle which auto collects the rare materials such as Reaper barbs for you, removing the need to dismount or drop any meats to get them. Taming: For Sauro i can see a gruelling taming method in the heart of combat. To start the tame you need to approach one mounted on a creature that’s prepared to take a beating, as the Sauro will continually attack the creature until it drains all of its stamina. Should your creature build up full fear from the attacks, the Sauro will enter its ‘Dominance’ state, and regain its stamina so you will have to wait for the state to wear off before resuming taming. Once it’s stamina is drained it will do an animation where it bows its head and tries to catch its breath back, allowing you to beat it up and apply fear with all your attacks. But be careful not to kill the beast, it will get a portion of health back once its stamina is recovered however. After repeated cycles and once the ironic fear is built up on the Sauro, it will run a few paces in fear before slumping down with exhaustion and becoming knocked out cold, taking kibble and such like a regular tame from there on. The downside is the full fear is built on the sleeping creature, so it must be protected from outside attacks with extra care. An idea I had was for battle tartar to act like its kibble, but it might be too powerful as it’s much easier to make than kibbles so it’s up to wildcard’s discretion. Abilities: As the lizard-eater, Saurophaganax preys on fear and crushes enemies -R2/Left click: Very slow medium damage bite that ramps up speed over time of perhaps 10 seconds. Starting around the speed of a Magmasaur until being about the same speed as a Raptor and the animation changing to a vicious rending to indicate full speed. Builds up fear on hit depending on drag weight of creature. -L2/Right click: Turns around and slams the ground with its tail before whipping it back around again. Deals high damage and cannot be performed while running. Has an extra large bonus to the fear damage multiplier but resets fear to 0. -R3/C: Crouches down and charges a dash that rushes forward and slashes for bleed application, at full charge can latch onto a creature similiar to a Deinonychus. It grabs on with its top jaw and can still bite and apply fear with lower jaw while attached, but the bite doesn’t gain any speed and staying latched drains stamina and can’t do any other actions. Disengage with another C press. Applies a slow effect called ‘Crippled’ and perhaps light bleed akin to stego. If it’s possible, it would be great if latched creatures can be dragged/pushed around by moving if drag weight light enough. Multiple Sauros can latch to add too the damage and improve the dragging ability. -X/Space: A quick, Shattering roar that applies the ‘Crippled’ slow buff on nearby creatures for a few seconds. Allows it to catch targets running from full fear and would definitely look very cool. -Dominance state: When a creature is fully feared near the Sauro, it will rear its head back, rend its teeth and growl into the air as it enters its ‘Dominance’ state. In this state, speed and stamina regen are increased, the bite gains speed much faster, and when at max speed Sauro additionally swipes its claws for every bite, dealing medium damage and applying a stacking bleed that deals direct % damage alike Deinonychus. Wears off in 15s once no feared creatures are nearby. Aberration Map: Saurophaganax would be suited for Abberation as it’s home, it would provide a new creature to go for against Rockwell instead of the usual Megalosaurus or Rock Drake rushing popular strategies and would be very useful around the map. I think it should be either immune to radiation, or have an Aberrant variant so it can prowl the dangerous zones of the map. It’s abilities and the gathering pack on its saddle would make it great for gathering large amounts of Nameless venom and taking down hordes of enemies on the surface. It could also receive an aberrant variant pattern, with all those patterns looking amazing when they glow in the dark. Rexes, Allos and such are missing from the map, so Sauro can fill in for a larger theropod to rival the Reapers and Spinos already there. And of course Yutyrannus are missing too, so the Saurophaganax can teach those Aberrant abominations the meaning of fear with its introduction of the mechanic being potentially vital. Utility: Saurophaganax is specialised for combat, and would be made to take on large swarms of dinos such as in genesis missions or OSD defences. But it would also be able to fight bosses with its latch attack being able to bleed them even though fear can’t be applied. It would have Crazy synergy with the Yutyrannus fear roar, making it perhaps used alongside the courage roar and mixing up the game a bit. I also think it would be great to use in packs with multiple Sauros latching onto one big threat to take it down as a team. It’s fast speed and combat prowess for PVP would make it great for raids and Dino wars where it can scare away ridden dinos and protect convoys of tames. It’s general speed and combat affinity mean it’s great for collecting rare drops with its specialised saddle bags for boss tribute farming. I hope you liked my idea for the Saurophaganax! If you have any suggestions or want to add your own, leave it down below and let’s hope we can see the lord of lizards in ASA!
