deadly burp Introducing Barapasaurus sonica, the BURP-asaurus
Gecko1611 posted a suggestion in Creature submission archive
Introducing Barapasaurus sonica, the Burping Behemoth. Hello survivors! Here on Valguero, I present to you the Barapasaurus, or the “BURPASAURUS”! In summary, this burping behemoth requires a loud noise generated by Alarm Traps to tame. It is useful for cooking and agriculture. Because, Custom Recipes can be used to power the burps of the Burpasaurus, which throws back and stuns creatures. Additionally, equip a funnel to its mouth and project burps with world shattering intensity, bringing down walls or stunning bosses! Without further ado, here is the burping behemoth itself…. Dossier here: https://imgur.com/gallery/barapasaurus-sonica-burpasaurus-rgbmshg In the Wild. The Barapasaurus is a rare spawn in the White Cliffs and the Emerald Forest, and always spawns solo. Barapasaurs aren't aggressive, but will randomly burp occasionally, so be aware that it may stun you or ruin your Stamina. This stun does not dismount you, but works rather like the Trike Stun. Anything that attacks Brontos will attack the Barapasaurus, and if it is provoked, it does fight back and inflict damage (unlike a Diplo). Baby Barapasaurus will occasionally spawn in the Wild. They, like adults, will Burp randomly, but their Burp is only 50% as effective as the adults’. Taming. To tame the Barapasaurus, you need to show that you are as loud and disruptive as it is. ● Locate the Barapa and clear enemies (of course). You will need several Tripwire Alarm Traps. The quantity depends on the level. ● Place a Tripwire Alarm Trap where the Barapa will tread over it. Make sure it is set to go off from wild dinos. ● One it treads over the trap and the noise blares, you have about 10 seconds to feed it a Custom Dish or Drink. The Barapasaurus will specify if it wants a Dish or Drink. Taming Progress goes up based on how much Water (if a Drink) or Food (if a Dish) the item gives. If the Custom Consumable is one that decreases Health, it can still be fed, but Taming Effectiveness will plummet. So don't feed it toxic food! ● As soon as it is fed, the Barapasaurus will Burp, so be ready! Actions. (PC/Xbox/PS4) Stomp. (//) - The primary attack of Barapasaurus inflicts 30 base damage. It involved a stomping jab with the thumb spikes on its hands. Harvests thatch and wood with average efficiency. Tiller and Harvester. (/ /) - The secondary attack of Barapasaurus is a cropping, scooping bite that harvests berries and mushroom patches at an average rate. It has a 5% of harvesting 25 Water from bushes, that cannot be used until put into a Jar or Skin. No damage is inflicted with this attack, but knock-back akin to a Diplodocus's is used. Crop Plots. The Barapasaurus can target any crop plot with its secondary Bite attack, and automatically gather all crops from it. Also, it gives the crop plots a temporary buff that allows it to grow 2 extra stacks of whatever food until harvested, as well as growing 20% faster (on top of any Greenhouse buffs). There will need to be empty slots for the extra stacks, of course. If you target a crop plot with no plants, the Barapasaurus will plant a seed of your choice that it has in its inventory. The same buffs are applied to it. You still need fertilizer for the new plant as normal. If you use this on X-plants, they grow up with 15% extra health. Burps. The Burpasaur has 2 kinds of Burps, one for Dishes and one for Drinks. It automatically consumes 1 Custom Drink or Dish depending on the Burp, and if there are multiple different kinds of the Consumable, it consumes the one with the best quality. Depending on the quality of the Consumed Dish or Drink, the Burp will be stronger or weaker. Stunning Burp (Dish). ([C]//) - The Burp effects creatures in a 8-foundation radius around the Barapasaur. They are knocked back a considerable distance if Barapasaur-sized or smaller. Creatures of all sizes are Stunned (like a Trike Stun, so no dismounting) for a duration of 1 second per 30 Food in the Food stat of the consumed Custom Dish (mininum of 1 sec, maximum 100 seconds). Draining Burp (Drink). ([Left Ctrl]//) - The Burp effects creatures in a 6-foundation radius around the Burpasaur. They relieve the Draining Burp Status Effect for 20 seconds. This condition causes them to, for every 25 Water in the Custom Drink's water stat, lose 10 Food per second, lose 10 Stamina per second, and receive 10% extra Torpor Damage. Other Barapasaurus are immune to the effects of Burps. Also, Burps do not draw the aggro of creatures, as they don't do damage unless using a Funnel (see below). However, Chalicotherium effected by a Burp will aggro, as they get jealous that you Burp louder. Abilities. Cooking Pot Saddle. The Barapasaurus does not require a saddle to ride. Any headgear can be equipped to it. However, like the Equus, it does have an optional saddle. This item can be unlocked at Level 50, requires Smithy to craft, and costs 60 Stone, 200 Thatch, 20 Metal Ingots, and 100 Hide. The saddle comes equipped with a Cooking Pot with 100 slots. While dismounted and standing on top of the Barapasaurus, this Cooking Pot can be accessed and used to cook anything a Campfire or normal Cooking Pot can cook. Fuel is infinite, but any other ingredients must be added as normal. Anything crafting in this Cooking Pot counts as having +10% Crafting Skill put into it. Funnel. At Level 69, the Funnel Headpiece can be unlocked. This is a headgear, but can only be attached to a Barapasaurus. It adds 25 Armor (Primitive quality) and does not have a durability. With The Funnel Headpiece equipped, the Barapasaurs can focus and intensify its devastating Burps. If you hold down the key for the Burp you want to use for 5 seconds and then release, it's area of effect is funnel-shaped in front of the Barapasaurus, around 20 foundations in length. Doing this will inflict 50 Base damage to creatures affected, altered depending on the Burpasaur's Melee stat and the distance of the target. Funneled Burps also damage all building tiers up to Metal, inflicting 10x extra damage to structures. Harvesting Gear. Also at Level 72, the Harvesting Gear headgear can be unlocked. It requires 10 Metal Ingots, 100 wood, and 100 Hide to craft in Smithy. It adds 30 Armor and has no durability. With this equipped, the Barapasaurus harvests rescources (with either attack) with 40% extra efficiency. The buff applied to crop plots by the secondary attack is increased by an extra stack of crops (if space in crop plot is available), 10% quicker growth, and 10% extra health (if X-plant). Living Fridge. In order to preserve the ingredients for its tasty Custom Consumables, the Barapasaurus can work as a fridge. Via inventory, 10 slots are available for any kind of spoiling food. If you drag a stack into these slots, its spoilage timer will drop to infinity. The Barapasaurus doesn't eat directly from this fridge. Tasty Poop. The poop of the Barapasaurus is special. It's basically Large Animal Feces, BUT, if left on the ground for long enough, Dung Beetles will start to spawn near it. Only a few can spawn for each feces. The level of the Dung Beetles will be equal to half the level of the Barapasaurus when it dropped the feces (rounded up). Turret Vulnerability. Not really an ability, but a counter. The bones of the Barapasaurus are light and flexible to resist extremely loud sonar damage. But, as a consequence, heavy projectiles are more destructive to their skeletons. *TURRETS INFLICT 150% DAMAGE TO BARAPASAURUS* This is a counter to its other abilities, so as not to overpower it. Base Stats & Breeding. Health: 1250 Stamina: 380 Oxygen: 400 Food: 15000 Weight: 790 Melee Damage: see attacks Speed: About Amargasaurus speed Torpor: X Babies. Baby Barapasaurus will eat only Custom Consumables (or kibble if for imprinting). Once grown, it will eat berries/crops like other herbivores. Strengths & Weaknesses. The Barapasaurus has many points of strength with all of its abilities. Agriculture. Barapasaurus can harvest general herbivore resources as well as mushrooms and water. Using its Tiller and Harvester headgear, it can increase crop yield and gather them all. Also, its Fridge mechanic can preserve fast-spoiling foods you want to keep. It's Cooking Pot Saddle, combined with these other mechanics, can help you craft Custom recipes with ease while on the move. Raid Support. The Funnel headgear can be very useful in a raid to clear a few structures in the way. However, its somewhat slow speed and primary attack damage mean that it isn't the best in a face-to-face skirmish. If enemies come close, the Stunning Burp can repel them. However, be careful of turrets, which inflict 50% extra damage to Barapasaurs. The tanky health of a high level Barapasaurus can still resist them for a while, and you could even use them as a turret soaker if you’re really crazy. Taming Assist. Using the Draining Burp, you can ruin the Stamina and Food of creatures you look to tame. This also makes them easier to knock out. Having friends ride along in the back seats can be very useful, as they can KO while the Burpasaurus burps. Why this creature? So why vote for an ugly, silly burping sauropod? Barapasaurus aims to offer a new sauropod experience for survivors of the ARKs. Rather than picking up the expected role of a big battle dino, it falls into a more unique niche. Barapasaurs would urge more players to use the Custom Consumable feature, experimenting with different formulas to create the strongest Food/Water stat and consequently, the strongest Burp! Also, we really don't have many dinosaurs specifically for agriculture, other than Dung Beetle, Phiomia, and Iguanodon somewhat. Yes, we will have 6 official sauropods once Dreadnoughtus and Brachiosaurus drop, but this should not impede the possibility of Barapasaurus on Valguero, as this funny creature fills a different, unique niche that, in all honesty, is much more useful than some in-game sauropods. While Titanosaurus and Dreadnoughtus fill the roles as colossal battle dinos, Bronto is a more easily acquired berry gatherer and transport, Diplo is a bus and soaker/tank, Amarga is impossible to tame and good for shooting spikes, I guess, and Barapasaurus would be a wholesome burping behemoth for taming support, raid support, and agriculture. Maybe you have some ideas or want to save your vote for another creature. Share any comments, concerns, or ideas you got in the comments, but be respectful to fellow users, please! Farewell, and good luck wherever you may fare. 👋 Credits: Art and concept by me. Hello Survivors ~~ Introducing the Nomad King - RAJASAURUS. It seems to me that the game currently lacks dinosaurs that could give buffs to allies. Rajasaurus would become a faithful assistant for any player, as he is able to increase the maximum weight of allies in a certain radius from him as a percentage. Also, the Rajasaurus itself has a high maximum carry weight. In addition to passive abilities, he is distinguished by a debilitating bite and a special roar, but first things first. DOSSIER Common Name: Rajasaurus Species: Rajasaurus narmadensis Time: Late Cretaceous Diet: Carnivore Temperament: Aggressive WILD This large theropod can be easily identified by its powerful hind limbs and a single horn on its forehead. Rajasaurs tend to migrate frequently, covering great distances. For representatives of their kind, they are very calm, but if you lose your vigilance, you can easily say goodbye to life. His bites quickly exhaust the victim to such an extent that by the end of the fight she cannot even stand up. If the Rajasaurus is severely wounded, it lets out a loud scream and quickly runs away. DOMESTICATED Rajasaurus is highly valued among nomadic tribes. His resilience in travel lends strength to surrounding allies, and they can carry heavy loads more easily. If the survivor is attacked by predators or bandits, the Rajasaurus emits its trademark roar, which helps allies to flee or defend themselves. SADDLE • The Rajasaurus saddle made from a unique combination of materials that protect the wearer from Weather effects & gain extra Armor. • The Rajasaurus Saddle is used to ride a Rajasaurus after you have tamed it. Can be unlocked at level 82. Crafted in : Smithy Argentavis saddle Castoroides saddle Thorny Dragon saddle TEK Replicator Ingredients : 400 × Hide 300 × Fiber 100 × Wood 150 × Metal Ingot 45 × Cementing Paste 40 × Crystal 40 × Organic Polymer DROPS Hide Raw meat Raw prime meat PASSIVE ABILITIES • Rajasaurus has a high maximum carry weight, and this indicator improves better than others. • Rajasaurus has an aura that increases the maximum carry weight of allies. The percentage by which the maximum carry weight increases and the radius of the ability can be improved in the characteristics of the dinosaur (they are improved separately from each other). The higher the level of a wild Rajasaurus, the higher these characteristics. However, it will be quite difficult to improve these characteristics, so do not flatter yourself. The weight increase effect will continue to work after exiting the Rajasaurus aura, but only for 15 seconds. • Also Rajasaurus can produce lots of Organic Polymers inside its inventory by killing any Creatures. ACTIVE ABILITIES •[Left Click Mouse] - Bite strike that reduces the target's maximum carry weight. Each bite on the target reduces the maximum carry weight by 5% for 10 seconds. The effect is such that the maximum carry weight cannot be reduced by more than 80%. If the target is a wild creature, then its speed is correspondingly reduced by 5% per bite for 10 seconds, up to 80%. Bite damage base 45 HP. With a bite, the Rajasaurus dismantles corpses, receiving such resources as: Hide (4.4x) Raw meat (4.3x) Raw prime meat (4.2x) Raw mutton (4.0x) Keratin (4.4x) Chitin (4.0x) Raw fish (3.8x) Raw prime fish (3.7x) Organic polymer (4.9x) Pelt (5.0x) •[Right Click Mouse] - the roar that increases the speed and reduces the consumption of endurance of allies who are close to the rajasaurus, and the rajasaurus itself. The effectiveness of the buff depends on the state of health of the rajasaurus: 100% - 80% HP - +5% speed and +5% reduction in stamina consumption; 80% - 60% HP - +15% speed and +15% reduction in stamina consumption; 60% - 40% HP - 20% speed and 20% reduction in stamina consumption; 40% - 20% HP - 25% speed and 25% reduction in stamina consumption; 20% - 1% HP - 30% speed and 30% reduction in stamina consumption. The roar effect lasts 45 seconds, and the roar itself has a 30 second cooldown. •[C] - menacing roar. It has no function other than aesthetic. •[Left-Ctrl] - Rajasaurus uses its strong legs to extract resources in small quantities, namely: Fiber Thatch Wood Cactus Sap Charcoal TAMING The taming of the Rajasaurus is standard, forced (Your suggestions are welcome). However, once the stun hits 70%, it will let out its signature roar and its speed will increase by 30%, so to stun it, you have to be on a fast creature or trap it beforehand. Rajasaurus stun decays faster than others. Favorite Foods : Extraordinary Kibble Raw Mutton BREEDING Breeding in Rajasaurus is standard, but the maturation of a young individual differs from other creatures. Young Rajasaurs are very moody and require attention more often than other creatures (once every 4 hours). For one fulfilled desire, affection is filled by 20%. However, every time the time for a new desire comes, the little Rajasaurus will start screaming loudly, and it will continue to do so even after the attachment reaches 100%. If you ignore the desires of the Rajasaurus, then after a while his affection will begin to sink, so do not make his majesty wait long. Approximate Base Specs : Health: 700 Stamina: 450 Oxygen: 150 Food: 2600 Weight: 800 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Rajasaurus can carryable by : Wyvern Quetzalcoatlus Rhyniognatha Affected : Large Bear Trap & Net Projectile Can Damage : Thatch Wooden Possible uses for Rajasaurus : Buffer, which will become a faithful assistant in the extraction of any resources, as you can carry much more at a time. • Improvement for the Base. Putting the Rajasaurus in the center of the base will make it easier for the tribe members and their creatures to move around. • Fighting Pet. Its unique abilities will help its masters in combat, as the Rajasaurus will force opponents to stand like pillars, and its accelerating roar will help allies escape in case of danger or catch up with a fast target. • Resource Collector. Rajasaurus has a large weight and is able to extract straw, wood and fiber, therefore it can act as a resource collector. • Good Vehicle. While on the Rajasaurus, you can escape most creatures by slowing them with a debilitating bite and using a roar. However, the Rajasaurus itself is a fairly fast creature. It seems to me that the use of most creatures in the ARK is limited only by the fantasy of the survivors, so you can always experiment). Thank You All For Your Attention ~~
