Hungarosaurus (with (new) dossier)
Haumea posted a suggestion in Creature submission archiveSo i submit Hungarosaurus once again, now with better dossier. I plan this creature to be a early to mid game general multipurpose tame, which is fast but has an unpenetratable back armour. Edit: Here's an useful link: https://magyardinoszaurusz.hu/hungarosaurus-tormai/?lang=en
Beishanlong was a relative of Deinocheirus from the Early Cretaceous of China. Now, what do Canadian geese have to do with this thing you wonder? Well, the idea for this critter is that it’s oddly extremely violent and can somehow scare away things much larger than it, like Yuty levels of fear. Now it doesn’t just cause fear and go on with its day, it is straight sadistic and will become stronger the more things it has caused fear, increasing its damage, attack speed and speed rates up to 50%. It hasn’t gained its reputation for nothing, it can combo its attacks in a chain format with kicks, claw swipes, tail whips and biting. With combos it can build up a combo bar which when it is full it will bring out a fury of attacks, matched with its fear abilities it certainly is no joke. Though combos are great to use, specifically its kicks are great, it can build up speed like a dire bear or rhino and launch a full force kick to a creature, causing insane knock-back and a “winded debuff” which heavily increases stamina drain and will automatically set the creatures stamina to 0. Though I also have ideas on how it can be good for PvE, it’s saddle has two baskets used for carrying water, this baskets can be used to irrigate crops far away from any water source, which can be refilled at a well or any source of water, including rain. It also has an additional basket for vegetables, berries, etc, it can be set onto an “auto-farm pick up” mode where it will pick up anything that’s grown in crop plots, and keeps them from spoiling for longer. Additionally if you want to keep pests away from your base, you can set up a perimeter around your base to mark its scent, this will keep away anything, but it will make enemy or wild Beishanlong’s angry, increasing their damage.
Torvosaurus the "Savage Lizard"
SirBlueDragon posted a suggestion in Creature submission archiveCommon Name: Torvosaurus Species: Torvosaurus gurneyi Time: Late Jurassic Diet: Carnivore Temperament: Aggressive Wild: A bit larger than Allosaurus. Torvosaurus gurneyi is a large carnivorous dinosaur which roams the mountains of this desert attacking any thing that is unlucky enough to come across these creatures. Torvosaurus gurneyi are normally solitary animals except for mating seasons and females with their offspring, In fact Torvosaurus gurneyi are quite aggressive to their own species attacking when they enter each other's territory and the males will also kill off female's offspring as they see them as competition. In Fact Torvosaurus gurneyi is such an efficient predator due to the fact they has powerful jaws and a bite they will cause severe bleeding. Domesticated: As an adult Torvosaurus gurneyi is to aggressive to be tamed so tribes have found another way to acquire this creature. I have been told by a group of merchants that they were able to take a Torvosaurus's egg and then hatch it to imprint on the baby so when it grows up it will be used to humans and their tames. After traveling with the Merchants for a few days to gain more information on the Torvosaurus I realized that the smaller carnivores such as sabertooths and raptors would steer clear of the Caravan due to the Torvosaurus. The Torvosaurus gurneyi is a great creature to have when traveling around the desert due to the fact they will scare off Smaller Carnivores and they can also hold their own in fight when needed. Abilities: Left Click Attack: This is a normal bite attack that deals a medium amount of damage Right Click Attack: This a weaker bite that causes the gnash affliction C Key: A roar Passive Abilities: 10% Reduced weight on stone and metal Any Smaller carnivore the comes close to the Torvosaurus will gain the fear status effect Miscellaneous: The saddle would be unlocked at level 56 Additional Information https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Torvosaurus
"monkeydactyl" the terrible thumbed flyer
SadTown posted a suggestion in Creature submission archiveThe "monkeydactyl" formally known as the Kunpengopterus antipollicatus is an arboreal pterosaur species that was recently discovered, it is thought to be the earliest animal with opposable thumbs. The idea I had for this creature was that it would have the ability to hold two separate things at a time like the karkinos, but also use weapons like the mantis including ranged weapons! Guns, tranq bows, you name it this thing can use it! It would be a relatively small flyer about the size of a pteranodon but longer. it's taming method would be similar to the Andrewsarchus where you must lure it in with honey and then proceed to ride it to gain taming effectiveness, however it would be a two stage tame where you would have to ride it to gain taming effectiveness and then feed it while it's unaware to gain taming percentage. As expected from creatures with thumbs, these things would be quite grabby and if noticed when trying to feed, will take all your taming food and eat it, without giving any taming at all! Another use these creatures would have is the weight reduction on ammo and cannon balls that it would be able to actively use with it's desired weapons. In the wild these creatures would also swoop in and grab armor and weapons from unsuspecting survivors, all whilst teasing them with their stolen items. It's saddle would be able to be a portable mortar and pestle able to craft gunpowder and extra ammo for it's rider! It's flying speed would presumably be similar to a pteranodon but it would have the ability to land and latch on any surface like desmodus and regain stamina while doing so, it would also be quite nice for it to have a divebomb similar the snow owl in speed so it can get around faster Overall this would be a utility tame mostly used for taming on pve and/or used for raiding on pvp. P.S the actual size of this creature was that of a sino or dimorph but preferably would be upscaled in game to a rideable size so it can be utilized as suggested, and of course make sure to upvote and leave suggestions so we can get this thing in game!
GamingDryder posted a suggestion in Creature submission archiveIt can mate with Direwolves but the babies are 50/50 chance of having wings. The males have a wing structure reminiscent of large bats while the females have those resembling feathered bird wings. It can dive into the water and out of the water to fly. It does the falcon Stoop. (Falcon hunting dive.) Saddle optional provides greater manuverability with cold storage utilizing frozen canteens. Eats raw meat and rotten meat sharing similarities with vultures. Tameable with mutton (prefered). Wing span of 12ft. Weight of approx 375lb.
Euparkeria, The Amphibious Pack Hunter!
XEN0F0X posted a suggestion in Creature submission archiveCommon name:Eupar Scientific name:Euparkeria Gigantis Time:Mid Triassic Diet:Carnivore Temperament:Aggressive in groups Wild Euparkeria is a wolf sized, river dwelling crocodile that usually hunts in pairs. Its one of the more effective pack hunters Ive seen on the island, with groups being as small as two, to packs big enough they could be called a swarm. Euparkeria, depite being a crocodilian, spends almost no time in the water, though its comfortable going in and is pefectly good at swimming. Euparkeria instead prefers to run down its prey in packs and tear them to peices, like the reptile version of a wolf. Another thing to note is their stance, Euparkeria will often move from four legs like a Kaprosuchus, to two legs like a theropod. When on all fours, Eupars wont drain their stamina too quickly, but on two legs, they will move faster at the expense of stamina. If one comes across a wild Eupar, remember that their stance means wether they are going to attack you, if on four legs, they are minding their own buisness, if on too legs, then the Eupar may be thinking of you as a menu item. They also seem to have a direct rivalry with Kaprosuchus. Tamed Euparkeria are easily tamed through conventinal knockout methods, so long as one can separate the pack, and once tamed are an excellent all terrain pack hunter. One can easily bring their pack of ten Eupars to fight a Rex on a mountain, a Megalodon in the sea or a swarm of bugs in a cave, just dont expect one Euparkeria to pull its own weight. Euparkeria on their own are easy prey, and they also seem to become depressed when alone, note: a lone Eupar, is a dead Eupar.
Caviramus, The Hypnotic Pterosaur!
XEN0F0X posted a suggestion in Creature submission archiveCommon name:Caviramus Scientific Name:Caviramus Hypnotis Time:Late Triassic Diet:Carnivore Temperament:Neutral/Waiting Predator Wild Caviramus Hypnotis is a solitary, medium size, fast flying pterosaur with a bizarre but fascinating way of hunting. Its crest, wings and tail feathers glow and shine in a hypnotic way, almost making the Caviramus appear angelic to smaller creatures, including humans! This hypnotising lures smaller creatures towards it, and the Caviramus will begin eating this animal whilst it is still alive, and it wont even try to escape either! If one comes across a wild Caviramus, look away immediatley, looking at it for too long will leave you unable to escape its trance, it seems the Caviramus will not be bothered to pursue prey that is not attracted to it. Domesticated Im not sure how, but people have managed to both tame and ride Caviramus, its about as fast as a Pteranodon, at the size of a Tapejara, making it a convenient flyer for travelling, scouting, or even just basic melee combat. Its hypnosis is also a great way to lure wild or enemy creatures into traps. The hypnosis also seems to calm and soothe both humans and creatures. I witnessed an extraordinary case of this soothing when a tribe I was staying with had knocked out a Tyrannosaurus, though unfortunately some Raptors had attacked it whilst asleep, the tribe brought their Caviramus over, and when the Tyrannosaurus woke up, it was perfectly fine!, perfectly domesticated as if the Raptors had never come along in the first place. The Caviramus is really extraordinary I'll say that, its perfect even. So beautiful. So... Majestic. Vic, Victoria? Victoria is that you? Image Credit:Dinopedia.fandom
Centrosaurus - rex killer
Demono959 posted a suggestion in Creature submission archiveCentrosaurus Diet: berries , vegetables Temperment: agressive The Centrosaurus was one of the largest herbivores of its time, in the game it would be larger than the Triceratops and Pachyrino. Unlike the Triceratops, the Centrosaurus had only one large horn, which could pierce the skin of even a Rex or Bronto. to tame the centrosaurus we have to immobilize it with a trap or chain bola and then give it a rhino horn. A tamed Centrosaurus would be a great mount - its saddle can accommodate up to 3 people, and sitting on it, other dinosaurs cannot throw us off and we are resistant to temperatures. With its huge horn, the Centrosaurus can collect a lot of wood and leather. Skills: 1-hit with the horn, collects leather, wood and inflicts bleeding on other creatures 2- tail strike, breaks the bones of opponents 3- carnivore repelling roar 4- Passengers sitting in the saddle can shoot firearms 5- sitting in his saddle we cannot be thrown down
