Dracoana your loyal Lizard-dragon companion and guardian
Thorfinn posted a suggestion in Creature submission archive
Wild: It seems like Dracoana was left behind in some caves and the solitude has made this otherwise highly intelligent animal go crazy. If you are weaker then it and step into its line of sight it will plunge at you pinning you to the ground with its tail and devour you. But it does seem to have a strange affinity to Gachas and the crystals they produce. Domesticated: Since Dracoana are so highly intelligent it will only bond to one survivor but that lucky individual will have gotten a Companion for life. Dracoana are the perfect animal to have on any map since it will use its high intelligence to warn the survivor of incoming dangers burking both beneath and above the ground it has even been seen to use its wings to carry survivors away from danger and cloak them from unwanted attention similarly to what its bigger cousin the Rockdrake do. Game usage: Its highly suitable to Extinction since it is possible to get warnings when the meteors will hit an area. So, it works like a jerboa does on SE. it can aldo detect hidden treaths in the ground. Its cloaking ability will help both in attacking and defending bases in PVP and it will help protect the player on pve from getting attacked by wild animals and getting picked up by other players since the Dacoana will not allow its companion to be removed. It can glide from walls but not fly. Taming: And the taming method is that you get a gacha crystal and make it interested in you after that you bow to it and then you follow its movements to show it that you are likeminded creatures. After that it mound your back and then you have to collect wild gacha crystals and give it to it to fill its taming meter. -

The Gilamonster (hilu mon stirr) is a venomous lizard that can be black with orange, yellow, red or peach swirls, spots and stripes. It is about the size of a human forearm and has a short stubby tail. It has a mildly venomous bite that although not very dangerous to humans, is still very painful. When biting a target, it will latch on and lock its mouth closed for about thirteen hours (13 minutes in game) or let go until evening. Gilamonsters have HIGHLY slow metabolisms, so they can go for three months without food (4 Dodo eggs a YEAR) so you dont have to worry about feeding it. Gilamonsters sometimes fight for dominance or to attract a mate, so you don't have to be surprised if you see them fighting each other. Abilities: Burrow. Gilamonsters can burrow underground. [Right mouse button] Bite. [Left mouse button] Latch on and inject venom. [Left mouse button and hold in] Tail whip. [C] Ridable. Can carry two humans. Climb. [Ctrl] Temperament: Docile to humans. Spawn locations: Deserts, Caves. Diet: Carnivore, Insectivore, Arachnivore, Piscivore. Drops when dead: Hide, Meat, Gilamonster venom (can use to make anti-venom), Gilamonster skull (trophy).

NEW UPDATED CONCEPT ART! General Info Common Name: Crystal Skink Species: Tiliqua Frangens Diet: Crystal Temperament: Ambush/Territorial The real-world Tiliqua Frangens was the largest known Skink that lived between the Pliocene and Pleistocene eras. It was believed to have an elaborately armored back, and lived in Australia. Reference articles: https://www.sci.news/paleontology/tiliqua-frangens-12003.html https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tiliqua_frangens The Crystal Skink is a (very) large Skink that has evolved with the Aberrant Ark and become symbiotic with the crystals that litter the deeper caverns, replacing its natural armor with crystals. While not as strong as a Reaper, it can stand its ground against a Rock Drake. The crystals that litter its back react violently to Charge Light, angering the creature and dramatically increasing its aggression. Design Concept: Artwork created by Gucien C (ArtStation: https://www.artstation.com/gucien/albums/7032945) ABILITIES & FEATURES Combat/Gatherer hybrid Gathers crystal and gems extremely efficiently Has a significant weight reduction for crystal and gems Between Megalania and Rock Drake agility Climb on all surfaces like a Rock Drake Roll like a Roll Rat! (even up vertical surfaces for a limited time!) Highly territorial near crystals and gems in the wild, less aggressive when not in proximity (think "Megatherium around bugs" when around crystals vs "Chalicotherium" when not) Charge Light Buff!! When exposed to Charge Light, the crystals covering the Crystal Skink's body begin to pulse with inner light, and the Skink roars, increasing aggression (wild), speed, and attack power. Reference for scream: Rajang Enrage (0:08-0:12 in video) Environmental Protector Consumes Crystal, Green, Blue, and Red Gems together to project "Crystal Armor" to nearby allied survivors and tames (wild projects to other Crystal Skinks). Crystal Armor lingers for a few moments after protective aura disappears before breaking apart. Crystal Armor reduces incoming damage slightly while protecting from Radiation and temperature, reducing effects of Lava and Liquid Element, and can even protect from the direct heat of the Sun on Aberration's Surface! Can create a Consumable for an increased up-front cost that can be consumed to give temporary Crystal Armor without the Skink's presence Crystal Skink always has the environmental resistances that Crystal Armor provides COMBAT Bite Claw Swipe Tail Smack (hits with crystal club (can inflict Torpor?)) Gathers resources with Tail Ground Pound (Crystal AoE when Crystal is in inventory) Roll Attack can cause lots of damage, but needs space to activate in combat Can bury similar to Reaper or Purlovia, leaving a Crystal formation above the ground (wild or tamed), taking Survivors by surprise TAMING Enraging a Wild Crystal Skink with Charge Light will cause it to become more aggressive, and eventually tire out after a period of time away from Charge Light. When tired, the Skink will lie down for a short time, allowing the crystals to begin to be harvested from its back. Taking the crystals from the Skink will pacify it, allowing it to be ridden. A pacified Crystal Skink must be used to gather more Crystal to regenerate its natural armor, building its bond with the Survivor. PURPOSE The Crystal Skink is a creature intended to solve the issue of Crystal gathering and transportation (especially on Aberration, where the only creature to reduce Crystal weight is a Ravager). This is meant to be a late-game tame that can cause hazards when encountered in the wild, especially if a Survivor is ambushed by a Crystal Skink disguised as a Crystal formation. While not as powerful as a Reaper, it possesses an "alternate" dynamic to the Reaper - being buffed by Charge Light instead of weakened by it. This creature also allows exploration of the Surface during the day - an ability that is currently impossible, and I've always felt would be a fun addition. (Plus glowing crystal armor on its body and projected onto nearby allies! Who doesn't like glowing stuff?!) Real-world recreation of the Tiliqua Frangens I'm more than happy to incorporate feedback for the idea, these are just my initial thoughts on the design. Thanks for reading!

Hello Survivor ! We are happy to present the Nothosaurus, a giant amphibious lizard ! Behavior : This is a large marine lizard, which regularly comes out of the water to bask on hot rocky beaches. This creature is found in shallow waters. He tends to be quickly aggressive, however he remains vulnerable during his naps. Apparence : Smaller than a plesiosaur, the Nothosaurus is relatively slender, which gives it incredible agility in water. Its front legs are equipped with claws allowing it to adhere to rockeries, as long as its hind legs equipped with large muscles allow it to jump out of the water. Taming : When he basks in the sun, it's time to approach discreetly to ride him by giving its fish. He will then rush into the water and a marine rodeo begins. It will be necessary to give its a fish to calm him during its spins at the risk of being unseated and at its mercy. Utility : The Nothosaurus is a pretty good and fast swimmer. Regarding the fight, it can both use its powerful jaw to shred flesh and its tail to inflict great damage. It is also able to perform torpedo attacks thus increasing its speed. The Nothosaurus also has a gloatrum in which it will store fish liver oil, which can be recovered to make a fishing elixir. The latter then increases the quality of the loots caught. It can also preserve fish meat longer. Dossier : Wild : The Nothosaurus Giganteus is an amphibious creature, a bloodthirsty killer that can move both in water and on land. The anguish of strolling by the sea and seeing this behemoth emerge out of the water and bite off its poor victim. The only opportunities we had to observe the Nothosaurus were when it was lying on the edge of the ocean to rest. Their lifestyle is very close to the Seals. It is without counting on these teeth as sharp as razor blades. To see it so skilfully hunting fish is an incredible sight, but rare are the still living witnesses of this aquatic broom. Domesticated : For the more courageous, taming a Nothosaurus Giganteus is an excellent asset for its tribe, despite moving slowly on land, it displays all its agility once in the water. Discovering the seabed on the back of Nothosaurus is an unforgettable moment, thanks to its incredible ease under water. Although he is a faithful ally, he is above all a fast and effective murderer, especially for the fish he will kill until his thirst for flesh is satisfied. A very ingenious device is located at the level of its neck, a kind of pocket which stores and preserves the fish longer then transforms them into a kind of oil very popular with fishing enthusiasts, I have even seen some taken enormously after being in contact with this oil… Enjoy that creature which could be completely modify by Wildcard ! Special Thank to Skeel, Arwenn & Umbra for the dossier !

Images by Scott Reid and Unknown Pintrest account Drepanosaurus is a small, arboreal lizard. It uses the giant claws on it's front feet and tail tip to stay latched onto trees in the wild, and onto a surviror's shoulder if one were to be so fortunate to find one! They are masters of disguise, changing the pigment in their skin to match the biomes they find themselves in. They can be spotted (rarely) anywhere with dense tree cover that is warm enough for them to be active. Temperament: Passive Time period: Triassic Diet: Insectivore TAMING: They love to eat insects. To tame one, put chitin in the last slot of your tool bar. Once close enough, the Drepanosaurus will use it's long tongue to grapple to the player and become latched to their shoulder. It will remain on the player's shoulder and constantly eat chitin from their inventory until tamed. Don't run out of food though! If the chitin runs out before taming is complete, the Drep will become irritated and use it's tongue to launch itself onto something else, losing effectiveness in the process. Once tamed, this fantastic lizard is a very useful companion. - Use Drep's tongue to grapple onto terrain, dinos and players. The grapple length is not as long as a conventional, expendable grappling line. Drep will shoot out it's long tongue on command, which will automatically reel in after 1.5 seconds of contact with something. It can be cancelled by pressing the ability key again. If it has made contact with terrain, it will pull the player to the terrain. Aiming up will launch the player slightly upward at the end of the grapple. If it's tongue has made contact with a player or small dino, the Drep will pull them toward you. This ability uses the Drep's stamina, so give it a break every now and then! - Drep will automatically eat insects within it's tongue range. Drapanosaurus is a voracious little predator, and will consume any small insect-like creatures within it's immediate area. This also protects the player from onslaughts of angry ants or dragonflies. It will collect the chitin in it's inventory and consume the meat. Drepanosaurus can also be put into 'turret mode' and gather chitin in a specified area. This creature's intended purpose is to give players a more re-usable grappling hook at the cost of time/resources to tame one of these little fellows. It also may alleviate some early-game/noob frustration incurred by players repeatedly being attacked by insect swarms.

Assuming this one hasn't been mentioned, Postosuchus would be a fine addition to the collection of animals Scorched Earth has under its belt. (Also as a side-note, this was a suggestion given to me by ChatGPT and all information given to me was also from ChatGPT, which mean that if this animal gets top vote, it would be the first AI suggested and conceptualised animal to make it to Ark) If you ask a crocodile what his twice removed, great great great great half-uncle was, it would be this. Here's a short but extensive description of them brought to you by ChatGPT. Here's a quick overview of what the Postosuchus would be like in Ark (also made by ChatGPT) I'll provide some more photos to better understand what a creature like this could possibly look like in the game...
