Deinotherium is undoubtably one of the strangest of all Mammals we can see in pre history but those downward hooked tusks aren't the only unnatural trick up their metaphorical sleeve. Much like Real life's version of Deinotherium I think Arks Version of this Anger Elephant should be noticeable larger than their hair covered counterpart. Deinotherium's anomalous tusks have confused paleontologists for years but are inferred to be used for digging up tree roots and forming channels to find water hidden under the surface as well as being an utterly terrifying weapon when provoked. Thankfully Ark Additions has made a fully flushed out version of what the DEINO might look like in game, While their version poises a very good foundation for the idea I think they missed out on the DEINO's capability for PVP scenarios. Wild: In the Wild you can find them in groups of 5-10 individuals with 1 alpha male and the rest females, Or you can find a lone male if you are lucky enough. When in groups of this size all of the ARK's inhabitants steer clear as to not provoke them. As they are extremely adept to survive in even the most harsh climate you will be able to find them just about everywhere. If they're heard is disturbed they will form a circle around the youngest and attack anything that approaches with no bias. If you target a Deino alone it will charge damaging everything in its wake. In defense against any creature with a minimum of 500 drag weight Deinotherium can gore their aggressor leaving a fatal bleed that lasts for 10 seconds. When an alpha Deinotherium is killed they will drop a alpha Deinotherium tusk which can be used for boss tributes. Taming: To tame one of these Beasts you must first coax them away from their group using their favorite food Honey. This is no easy task as when you are spotted by another member of their group they will all agro onto you. This taming process is passive but has everything to do with timing and patients. once you have a Deinotherium singled out you can start the taming process by dancing along with them using emotes untill you have enough trust to ride them starting the taming bar. If the Deino deems your dance lame it will kill you without hesitation(just like real life). You will then need to walk them 1000 meters per level giving them sweet veggie cakes along the way. This tame isn't inherently easy but can be done early on if prepared for. Tamed: For to long arks PVP scene has been controlled by the same 5 tames, While the addition of both the Desmodus and the Charcha helped there are few to no options for land based PVP tames other than Gigas and Shadowmanes. This will be a tame that can challenge both land and air with the help of a chain bola balista and spear bolt balista on the Deino's primitive saddle while its Tek Saddle can pack a heavy punch to tames at close and long range. When charged simular to a rhino they will gain a charge effect causing increasing damage to anything in its path including metal structures. Deinotherium can come with a selection of 3 different saddles to choose from. A standard platform saddle much like the one Paracer's have. The second of which hones into the possibilities that platform saddles have always had but has never been utilized to its full potential. Sporting 2 separate balista turrets and a overhand for the rider to seek shelter under from the elements and incoming fire. The last saddle is a tek variant with 2 morter cannons maned by the rider of the DEINO and 2 separate maned turrets accessed within a fully protected pilot bay. Controls: left click - trunk swing right click - Tusk Gore left control + left click - Grab anything under 300 drag weight or structures left control + right click - Throw anything you have picked up or place structure C key - budget fear roar Z key - Dig a channel to find seeds and water and make single use crop plot for farming Things to note: I have been working on this concept for a while now and hoped to post it for the relese of Extinction on ASA but have recently started other concepts that are now in the works so stay tuned if you want to see more Concepts like this one.

Image courtesy of AfricanAquaticConservation.org Background: The Pezosiren Portelli was an early ancestor of the Sirenia line of aquatic mammals (Ancestor of Manatees and Dugong before they became fully aquatic), that lived about 50 million years ago in the Eocene. The Pezosiren Portelli is a dog or pig sized herbivorous creature that lived in shallow waters and coastlines in tropical and warm climates. Many fossils of this creature have been found in Jamaica. Although having 4 legs equipped to walk on land they had many adaptations for aquatic life, like heavy rib bones to help with submerging and an opening on the top of their snouts to resurface and breath easier. Wikipedia for those interested: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pezosiren Hello Everyone! Thanks for taking the time to check this suggestion out! I play Ark as a very casual player and I thought this would be a funny idea for my first creature submission! I've spent a lot of time making this creature as unique as possible, so if you enjoy this guy and want to see his on your local Ragnarok beach sun tanning, consider upvoting! Now meet, The amazing, Pezosiren Portelli! <In-Game> Due to the abundance of Vegetation on Ragnarok, and places to sunbathe, The Pezosiren Portelli has grown to be the size of and adult Hippopotamus. These large lads can be found on, and in the waters around the beachy areas near jungles, relaxing and tanning. Oftentimes they are seen floating belly up in the water sleeping, or sunbathing in groups of 2-4 on the sand. With a lack of any significant predator, these guys simply lack the ability to be mean, making them one of, if not the most friendly creatures you'll ever meet! The Portelli is such an expert of relaxation, that it has mastered the ability to remain perfectly still while snoozing, becoming invisible to the naked eye. They are a good early game water and land support tame. With the Pezosiren Portelli by your side, you and your tames will be much safer when exploring the Ark! <TAMING> Taming this Giant couch potato is a very easy task for any new or experienced survivor. When a Portelli is sunbathing, or floating aimlessly in the water, sneak up to it, and give it belly rubs. This will prompt the Portelli to want a snack. It usually asks for berries, rare mushrooms, or rare flowers. Give them enough snacks, and they'll be your best friend forever! <ABILITIES> ● Conceals your Tames when snoozing When resting near your tames, the Pezosiren Portelli will "hide" your tames from pesky predators, making them significantly harder to be targeted by aggressive dinos. This only works when they are stationary and snoozing, but providing a good area of effect, easily encompassing an early game beach hut. No longer will you come back to your base to see all of your Dodos killed by a pesky Compy, or pack of Raptors. ● Makes Mud Balms to Cloak Tames on the go When the Portelli is given cementing paste and thatch in its inventory, it will begin to convert it into Mud Balms. When thrown at your tames, the smelly nature of the Balm will help hide the creature from wild dinos for a short period of time, making them harder to be detected by predators. This Mud Balm even makes it harder for the Parasaur to detect them, making sneak attacks on enemy tribes all the sneakier. ● Reduces the amount of food tames need to eat When sleeping at your base, it's laziness rubs off on your other tames, making them less hungry than normal. This passive ability reduces the amount of food that your dinos need to consume to be full, saving you all the time it takes for meat runs and berry farming! ● Too Slippery to be grappled underwater The large amount of blubber and fat on the Portelli and their smooth skin, make it very hard for creatures like the Tusoteuthis to latch onto it. ● Can't be Death rolled by Sarcosuchus The Pezosiren Portelli is too fat to be Death rolled. ● Can be ridden without a saddle Saddles ruin their Tan Lines. <Attacks> ● Belly Flop The Portelli can hop forward and smush it's foes with it's massive underside, crushing the dinos caught beneath it. This attack is simmilar to the Maewing's belly flop. ● Log Roll This pile of lard will lie down and log roll for a short distance, trampling anything that lies in its path. ● Flail The Portelli can flail it's stubby limbs around itself underwater and on land, damaging all the creatures around it. This looks similar to a toddler having a temper tantrum. ● Mud Bomb The Portelli can launch a ball of mud at dinos, slowing them for a short while. <Thanks For Reading!> It means a lot to me that you took the time to check out my suggestion, and if you enjoyed it as much as I did, consider giving it an upvote! If you have any feedback feel free to tell me, I would love to hear your thoughts! The Dracorex is a new Creature to be introduced in Ark Survival Ascended. This Creature is roughly the size of a Utahraptor and has unique skills and abilities unlike anything you’ve seen before, I have decided on the Dracorex as my Creature submission to add some more variety among the Dinos. We have only the 1 Pachycepholosaurid in ark and it’s pretty.. lacklustre, This new Beast and its taming method and abilities are in my opinion some of the Strangest and coolest that there is! Additionally, The Dracorex’s name means “Dragon king” what better nickname for a creature introduced in a fantasy map? Habitat: The Dracorex Can be found Both in and outside The Dragon Trench on Ragnarok, Either inside the trench itself, or around the outer area of the Dragon trench often appearing in pairs or by themselves. Diet: These Beast are Herbivores munching on any berrys and seeds. Temperament: Docile, they’ll chill out with you and won’t attack, unless provoked by attacking them, their friends or by stealing their eggs. Taming method: this is where the fun begins, and where the name, “Dragon king” starts to shine, to tame a Dracorex first you must find and isolate one from any other nearby Dracorex. Then. You must drop a Wyvern egg of any of the 4 Core elements Fire, Lightning, Poison, ice, The Dracorex will then Smash open the egg by ramming into it, Destroying the egg and absorbing the element of the dragon egg through its many horns on its face. The higher level the Egg is your Dracorex smashes the Higher its Taming bar will rise. Taming effectiveness is determined by how much Damage Your Dracorex has sustained, so keep it safe! Depending on what type of eggs you let it smash. and how many of them for example 6 poison Eggs and 2 fire eggs then your Dracorex will gain the “Poison Element” and Become a “Poison Dracorex”. With the powers of a poison Wyvern, it can blast Poison clouds from its horns. With the powers of a fire Wyvern, it basically becomes a living Flamethrower, with the powers of an Ice Wyvern it can Freeze Oppenents with a steam of cold air from its nostrils. And With the powers of a lightning Wyvern can shoot a stream of lighting from its horns. the basic idea of the Dracorex (Dragon king) is that it can basically mimic the powers of the dragons, but in a smaller and more compact body, making this Dino Really useful for base defence and cave Exploration and once tamed, you can let it smash any more Wyvern eggs by enabling “Egg smashing” in the Behaviour section, where it will smash any Wyvern egg in a nearby radius. Upon smashing say, 3 eggs of any element of your choosing it will change the Dracorexs element to match the eggs it has smashed, so your not locked into any 1 element once tamed. in terms of speed, the Dracorex can run roughly as fast as a Smilodon or Raptor, building up speed as it sprints, stamina barely drains as it sprints too, so it can easily go long Distances. Once you’ve reached top speed, you can use the Primary attack button to instantly destroy all obstacles in your path, Trees boulders you name it. The Dracorex is also able to use this Headbutt to deal major damage to Structures, it Can Damage up to metal grade, through it admittedly won’t take too much health out of metal structures. But anything Stone grade or below and your in for a bad (or good) time due to the Dracorex’s status of “Dragon king” it takes Half the amount of damage from All Wyvern/dragon attacks. (Including the Dragon boss) additionaly, when riding the Dracorex all wild Wyverns will ignore you unless provoked. The Dracorex also does Double Damage to all Wyverns, Rex’’s, Gigas and Charcaradontosaurus to solidify its place as “King” And you can ride around on the Dracorex without the need for a saddle. But you can Craft “Dracorex armour” from Wyvern bones. Which can be Harvested from dead wyverns. This Armour is bone Like in Appearance and Reduces all Damage from all creatures and players. but like Player Armour it has Durabilty and will need to be fixed with more dragon bones once Damaged or broken. The Dracorex also comes with “Recoil” effect, Similar to Kentrosaurus, where attacking it from the front will cause the spikes on its face to damage all those who make contact. Baby Dracorex will have the same element as their parents. If you breed a lighting Dracorex and a fire Dracorex, you’ll get a Fire/Lighting Dracorex. Which has both the powers of a Fire and Lighting Dracorex. With you being able to choose which elements you want to use while in the Radial Wheel either while riding the Dracorex or when just opening the Radial wheel when standing next to the Dracorex and looking at it. Please Consider this Herbivorous Powehouse to be added to ARK! We need more strong Herbivores and I think the Dracorex is Perfect for the job

aquatic Rhizodus - Monstrous fish of the shores
Katanaa posted a suggestion in Creature submission archive
Rhizodus was a massive fish from the carboniferous period, the era of large arthropods, it has been proposed rhizodus lunged at land-bound prey much like a modern crocodile. My idea of Rhizodus is for it to be an aquatic creature that can traverse across lands in bursts, and for it to be anti-flier and anti-arthropod (Including stuff like tusoteuthis). Its land crawling ability allows it to reach land based creatures and players, though its not very fast at all, however you can do a lunge out of the water to quickly snatch anything on land or in the sky. When it lunges at a player or creature it will grab them, of which they can be brought back into the water, it can grab creatures that are below-rex sized in terms of land creatures, and fliers it can grab up to Rhyniognatha, but quetzels and wyverns are excluded from this. Other aquatic creatures it can grab as well, plesiosaur size is its max in terms of grabbing. Thrashing is its special attack when it has grabbed something, causing a bone break debuff that increases the amount of damage the creature takes per thrash. (Base thrash does 60, next thrash will do 70, and then 80, etc for example). ============================ Arthropod predator makes it do 2X damage against arthropods and mollusks (tusoteuthis), along with its ability to grab fliers out of the sky makes it pretty well suited to counter against Rhyniognatha. Arthropod predator also has the added bonus of making it immune to resin. Ammonites cannot make creatures aggro onto Rhizodus. ============================= Tanky & high base attack are Rhizodus's strongest points in terms of stats, will health and melee stats higher than a rex, it makes it a dangerous foe to encounter be it the ocean, land or skies even. However it has poor stamina and speed. ============================= Immune to eel and jellyfish stuns, along with tuso grabs. This makes it an effective counter to eels, jellyfish and tusoteuthis along with basiliosaurus, which does make it good for underwater cave exploration. ============================= In terms of abilites thats it, but its saddle comes in handy in one way: Its saddle has various storage containers on it that reduce basilo oil, bio-toxin and prime fish spoil times (on top of other perishable ocean items). This makes it useful when you go gathering resources in the ocean that spoil. ============================= And finally, it's taming method. Its taming requires you to sacrifice Arthropods (or something like tusoteuthis) to it, with either Rhyniognatha or Tuso being the best creatures for taming it.- 3 replies

The Nothosaurus has the abilty for all wild eggs to have a chance be fertilized such as trike and trex eggs. If on your journey you want a trex but dont have enough trangs then steal a trex egg with this creature and maybe it will be fertilized. Dont worry about using trangs with the Nothosaurus its a passive tame. Feed it eggs to tame it but be warned it loves fish so much that it will attack you if you have fish in your inventory. The Nothosaurus is truly great for traveling semi fast on land but also an even faster swimmer. the saddle on its back has a bar for you to hold on to while under water and when it launch its self out of the water. The Nothosaurus usally dives down into the water and launches it self into the air all thow we dont really know what this does for the creature we assume its a form of fun. The Nothosaurus would usally be lazing around on the edge of the water this would provide relaxation and would make the creature regain its stamina much faster. Dont worry about oxygen when swimming the Nothosaurus will provide oxygen bubbles for you but be warned it can only provide them for around 2 minutes The best travel buddy you could have. Extra: I have seen that people think the ability makes it so you dont have to tame any creatures ever again you would be wrong as i have stated that a wild egg would have a chance. Say a wild dodo egg has a 60% chance to be fertilized and a wild trex egg has a 10% chance to be fertilized the percentage will be lower depending on the creature. If you have a tamed creature lay a non fertilized egg the nothosaurus cant make it fertilized because thats not its abilty the abilty is to find wild fertilized eggs from wild dinos. This would make the game more immersive and explain why wild eggs cant be fertilized besides rock drakes and wyverns and etc. They are protected by there kind so theres no need to hide them. Hope this makes the abilty more clear

Pyroraptor Arderenyx- The Ark's Arsonist
tyrunt77 posted a suggestion in Creature submission archive
Habitat: Lava/Volcanic biomes Diet: Carnivore Temperament: Aggressive Taming: Shoot into its mouth while it uses it fire breath attack using advance sniper bullets, like ARK addition’s Cryolophosaurus Domesticated: A nimble but ferocious raptor, this creature is a needed addition for survivors looking to conquer the treacherous volcanic biomes, it possesses a fire breath attack which is somewhere between a fire wyvern breath attack and a flame thrower. It powers these breath attacks by drinking lava or having oil in its inventory (as a cheaper alternative), which the pyroraptor converts into ‘Pyro Fuel’ which powers its fire attacks. It can also set small to medium enemies ablaze for 4 seconds by landing 10 quick, consecutive melee attacks on a single target. When it has killed a sufficient number of creatures (The creature’s size and level matters, in understandable terms let's say this amount is equivalent to 20 level 100 stegos) and its pyro fuel bar is full, it will be given the ‘Ethereal Flame Demon’ effect, similar to Mortal Kombat's scorpion, its charred black skull and bones will be slightly visible, with its skin and flesh being replaced by semitransparent molten fire, as well as the physical changes, the pyroraptor’s melee and movement speed stat would be boosted as well it gaining the ability to leave a trail of fire behind it when sprinting. Its fire breath attack would be buffed, having more damage and range as well as it gaining the ability to phase into the ground and travel underneath, once again similar to Mortal Kombat scorpion’s MK11 ‘chain slice’ fatality where he phases (or burrows) into the floor leaving a glowing fire aura on the surface, to travel beneath the opponent to slice them in half, like scorpion the pyroraptor will leave a fiery aura on the floor surface on which it phases. The ethereal flame demon effect will last for 5 minutes before it changes back to its regular self.- 12 replies

Hippopotamus Gorgops - The River Behemoth!
Alshroom posted a suggestion in Creature submission archive
I think we can all agree that the dinosaurs are the most attention-grabbing thing in the game, and I get it, they're cool. However, I believe that the mammals deserve to be loved too, and what better way to do it than by adding a new member to their ranks, and a pretty good one at that! I present to you... That's right! We're getting a hippo in the game, hopefully. Let's not get ahead of ourselves though, first we need to talk more about our chunky friend over here. As you've read, it can't be tamed by the ol' tranq and feed, instead I thought of something to make it stand out from the rest of the mammals. Much like the Wyverns and their many predecessors, it must be raised in orden to tame it, making it the first mammal to have the raise-only taming method. And I know what you're thinking, 'wouldn't it be dangerous to separate a future killing machine from its family of killing machines?' to which I answer 'Yes. A lot.', but don't fret, as in exchange for performing such a treacherous task successfully, you'll be rewarded with one beast of a creature! Be it for traveling across the land, gathering and transporting resources or turn the tides of a battle in your favor, Hippopotamus Gorgops won't dissapoint. Now, let's go into a little more detail about its abilities. 1. Mouse Left Click (Tap): This is your standard bite attack used by 90% of ARK's wildlife, still, you should never underestimate the power of a hippo's jaws. 2. Mouse Left Click (Hold): This is another bite attack, but not an ordinary one, mind you. The longer you hold the button, the more powerful the attack will be, culminating in a massive bite, capable of damaging up to stone structures. 3. Mouse Right Click: This allows it to carry any small to medium-sized creatures in its jaws. 4. Passive Hyperthermic Insulation: Similar to their modern relatives, Hippopotamus Gorgops have a special sweat that gives them resistance to UV rays, which they can share with their rider, protecting them both from high temperatures.- 5 replies

Guanlong Wucaii is a species of dinosaur that lived at the end of the Jurassic period, approximately 156 million years ago, in Asia. Its name means "Crown Dragon" due to the crest on its head, This was one of the first species of Tyrannosaurus. From its hind legs you can see that it was a fairly fast and agile predator. Well, now that you know this creature,Let's look at the suggestions I have for this creature: Before we talk about its abilities, I would like to highlight a couple of basic things that I would like this creature to have (And sorry for my bad English): Its base health is similar to that of a Sabertooth. Little weight: it is a light and fast animal, it cannot carry so much weight. His abilities use a lot of stamina. It has a moderate base attack, but makes up for it with a 5 second duration bleed, which does not stack, but resets after each attack. Is one of the fastest creatures on the island. WILD: This creature will appear in the wild in groups of 3, which, like Raptor or Deinonychus, will have an alpha that will be Guanlong of a higher level. When Guanlong detects a player, two things can happen, first: that Guanlong is not in the player's field of vision, if so, it will imitate a random roar. of the strongest creatures on the island such as Rex or Giga, in the case of being in the field of vision, Guanlong will begin to attack the player directly. DOMESTICATION: To tame a Guanlong, you must avoid detection by wearing a camouflage suit or eating Calien Soup, then you must separate it from its group, either killing or distracting them, having him far enough away from his group, you need to feed him rotten meat, which will raise his unconsciousness until he falls asleep, after that Just feed him meat until he's tamed. DOMESTICATED: He has a pack roar, when using it he gains 15% speed and 25% attack, it lasts about 100 seconds, but has a 30 second cooldown. Guanlong can make high and low frequency sounds, he can even imitate animal sounds, the latter of which can be used to intimidate or annoy survivors. with terrifying roars, or to specifically attract large creatures, such as Carcharodontosaurus or Yutyrannus, which will target Guanlong and start chasing him, which is perfect for putting creatures in traps or making it possible for another player to shoot from the other side. High and low frequency sounds can make a big difference in combat, as they will stun creatures (large or small) for a short period of time. depending on the animal you want to stun, you must raise or lower the frequency of the sound, the bigger the animal, the less stun time it will have, for example, a Giga would be stunned for 2.5-3 seconds, a Titanosaur might be stunned for 2 seconds, a Raptor for 9 seconds, and a Dodo for 15 seconds (I don't know why you would attack a dodo though), obviously this ability will have a cooldown (of 30 seconds), Guanlong can also buff his allies using his ability, giving them 30% more stamina for 12 seconds. but then you may wonder: What happens if you put many Guanlong's next to each other? During the cooldown, a player could get off one and onto another... but the solution I came up with is the following: if there are more than 3 Guanlong's in an area (I didn't think of a specific radius), and one uses its sound ability, the rest of the Guanlong's will be stunned for twice as long as the enemy creature was stunned, if there are only 3 guanlongs in the area, and one is on cooldown, when you get on another and use its ability, it will stun the enemy for 25% less time, in addition to exhausting three times the stamina of the Guanlong used. Here is his dossier, which I made for this creature :3! (Sorry for my bad English...again)

Draconis Rex Introduction: The Ark’s three most iconic tyrants have small reflections of themselves that dwell among its survivors on tameable scales. Araneo are the spawn of the Broodmother; Gigantopithicus are the minions of Megapithicus; but the mighty and regal dragon has no spawn amidst the Ark aside from its bipedal cousin, the wyvern. Wild: A medium-sized, quadrupedal draconid, Draconis Rex is believed to be a myth by many survivors, as its habitat in high altitudes presents a daunting challenge to bridle. The only survivors to ever have seen Draconis Rex have done so upon the back of aerial mounts, higher up than even the Ark’s Quetzal dares to venture. Even if one is brave enough to get close to a Draco, these majestic beasts of the air mate for life, and their partner will always be close by to send nosy survivors fleeing for their lives. Domesticated: The Draconis Rex’s strong wings keep it suspended in the air for most of its life in the wild, and its decently-sized body can withstand moderate weight, enabling it to carry large-scale supplies across long distances. Unlike its wyvern cousin, the Draco is four-legged and can sprint even when grounded. Also unlike the wyvern, Dracos lack breath attacks, though its serrated fangs are a force to be reckoned with. However, even a domesticated Draconis Rex will only deal maximum damage if it is protecting its mate, in which case it will violently seek to spill the blood of any potential threats without hesitation. Dracos prove to be excellent offensive tames as well, as their ability to snatch riders from the backs of their tames in midair leaves both the survivor and tame vulnerable. While one attacks the survivor ensnared in its four talons, its mate is able to finish off any pursuing tames. Behavior: As an apex predator of the sky, Draconis Rex has few enemies, and will not hesitate to make any creature that dares to near it a meal for itself and its mate. Dracos have little reason to show themselves at lower altitudes unless they are hunting, and almost never land. Wild Dracos are extremely intolerant of humans straying into their territory, and become extremely aggressive on sight. Draconis Rex will only pursue survivors until they have sufficiently chased them out of their domain, however, and will give up the chase just below most mountain peaks. If a pair of Dracos encounter a particularly stubborn survivor that sticks around for them to eat, one will render the survivor defenseless and arch into an elegant dive to seize their prey straight from the back of any mount, while the other keeps the survivor’s tamed companions occupied. Appearance: Slightly smaller but more agile and vicious than the wyvern, Draconis Rex possesses massive, powerful wings that dwarf those of its bipedal counterpart, making it a graceful yet formidable aerial opponent. Atop its regal head is a crown of sharp, sturdy horns that aid it in combat. Dracos have bodies covered in tough, plated scales, and pointed spikes line their spines, though males of the species will have longer, more dense spikes and bigger horns than females. Taming: Draconis Rex is extremely intolerant of humans, and even when survivors display their dominance by knocking it out of the sky and offering food, they will only comply if their mate is with them, even still only for a short period of time. Dracos tamed from the wild will only allow survivors to mount them while they are close to their mate, or until the female lays a fertile egg. If the pair is separated too far from one another, both will turn on their captor(s) and attempt to kill them. If they are kept together, however, they will remain docile until an egg is laid. Then, both parents turn hostile, and the survivor’s only hope is to either kill the Dracos or lead them back up into the sky. They may not become tameable again until they de-aggro. Even though the parents return to their wild nature, the survivor is left with a Draconis Rex egg to hatch with no strings attached, as it will bond with its owner from birth. Attacks/Utility: - Bite: The Draco’s primary attack, a brutish bite that deals decent damage and bleed if mate boosted. Both an aerial and terrestrial attack. - Wing Flap Stun: The Draco’s massive wings can produce small whirlwinds that knock back most opponents and leave them stunned for a short period of time. Both an aerial and terrestrial attack. - Swoop & Grab: Often used in addition to the wing stun, Draconis Rex can hone in on close-by targets (both on the ground and in the air) and swoop down to grab survivors off of their mounts, ensnaring them in a brutal attack (similar to that of a thylacoleo) that deals bleed damage (if mate-boosted) for a few seconds before releasing them. Parachutes are a must-have if there is to be any hope of surviving the fall if a flying tame is not close-by. Aerial attack only. - Charge: On the ground, Dracos may use a charge attack (sometimes after stunning a target with wing stun) that deals large amounts of damage. - Roar (Vanity): A roar solely for vanity in which the mighty Draconis Rex flairs its spines and releases a deafening roar to display its dominance.

Xuanhanosaurus, the voice changing predator
Seurat posted a suggestion in Creature submission archive
I think this creature could bring a whole new system into both PVE and PVP, and it also looks cool in my opinion. I hope you will like it. WILD: These rather small, raptor looking creatures might not look like a big threat, when you first see them, but your opinion will probably change after your first encounter whit one. The xuanhanosaurus is the master of the hunt, and when the pack start to search for prey, even the largest and most dangerous creatures of the ARKs have to hide. The hunting strategy of these dinosaurs is truly fascinating. After a xuanhano chooses it's prey, it locks onto the target, and can follow it for miles if necessary, staying nearly invisible in the process. As the chase goes on, the hunter builds up its speed, and finishes the hunt with a huge jump, which is often the last thing what the prey see. You also won't be safe on a tree, because the long arms of the xuanhohanosaurus allow it to climb quite good. But maybe the most disturbing thing about this animal is, that it have a strange symbiothism with meganeuras and titanomyras. The insects will lead the dinosaurs to its chosen prey and somethimes even help fighting it, in exchange for some bites from the meat. If these things weren't enough, I recently found out that, like some of today's birds, these creatures can mimic voices. They use this ability to lead their prey to themselves, and I also heard a really frightening story from a lone survivor, who claimed that a xuanhano mimiced her whistles, and led all of her dinos away into the night. TAMED: There's one way to gain the trust of this predator, but if you don't succeed, you won't live long enough to tell the tale. The few, who are lucky enough to tame one of these beasts, will have a force in their hands, which others have to reckon with. You can use a pack of xuanhanosaurus to hunt down nearly any creatures on the ARKs, probably only with the exception of the giganotosaurus and the carchalodontosaurus. The dragonflies and ants will also help you if you won't let them notice you on the back of their ally. Some survivors even taught their xuanho to mimic the voice of some creatures, and even human whistles, making both tamed and wild dinos come to the sound. OVERVIEW: The xuanhanosaurus would be a carno-sized animal, with high meele, stamina, movement speed, and lower health. It would be capable of running on two or four legs, with somewhat same system to the iguanodon. You would be able to mark humans or dinos (both tamed and wild) and follow them in a "hunt mode". This would make the xuanhano become camouflaged, and constantly building up speed. It would also be capable of making huge jumps, when jumping from all fours. A tamed xuanho would be able to mimic the sound of wild dinos nearby, making them come to it, or whistles, making enemy dinos come to it. If you would use bug repellant when riding on it, meganeuras and titanomyras would come and help you in battles. TAMING: To tame a xuanhanosaurus, you would have to approach a lonely one (they coud spawn both in packs or alone), with no weapons in your inventory, and let it bite you. When you are at a quarter health, it would become passive towards you, and it would let you heal yourself. Then you would have to lead it to the highest level creature in the area, and let it kill the creature (the bigger the crature, the faster the taming). Then you would have to repeat the process of hunting high levels, until it's tamed. UTILITY: These animals would be a good caving creature for larger caves, as they would be able to climb walls and they would be pretty powerful. They would also be a huge help in taming, since their voice mimicking ability would make leading dinos into traps way easier. They would also be helpful in leading wywerns and magmasaurs away from their nests. In PVP they would be an extra threat, as you would be able to track down players with them, and lead their tames away.- 1 reply
