  1. (Art by Dilong, colorized by RiskyBiscuits) Collab art by the Darwinopterus creator, Zci5250! (If you haven't yet, go check out Darwinopterus!) (These sketches were made by Dekaexis!) ================================= (Everyone aforementioned made the art in this dossier, written by me, composed by Sp_ace) Common Name: Hatzegopteryx Species: Hatzegopteryx kukulkan Time: Late Cretaceous Diet: Carnivore Temperament: Highly aggressive Wild: “Seeing a creature not fully corrupted in the wastelands is extraordinarily rare, if not thought impossible, until today that is, Hatzegopteryx Kukulkan is a savage monster of the skies, as of writing this I’m observing it tearing into the element vein towers that scatter the wastes! Additionally it’s defending itself from any corrupted creatures with dangerously quick efficiency, be it slugging them on the ground with its heavy fists or shredding them apart with its massive maw. While it's not the greatest at flying, it sure isn’t the best to combat in the sky, as it seemingly has a tactic to effectively grapple a creature out of the skies and slam it into the earth!” Domesticated: “Despite its sheer ferocity, there does seem to be evidence that it can be domesticated, Hatzegopteryx seems to enjoy the thrill of battle, even from a young age, so any good adversary that can gain its respect may let it domesticate it. Though, you’d have to be utterly insane to even attempt that! All things considered however, a domesticated Hatzegopteryx would in theory be excellent for taking on hordes of corrupteds and gathering their nodules, additionally it would be great for harvesting the rich amount of element those corrupted spires contain.” Introduction: Hello Extinction survivors, I present Hatzegopteryx Kukulkan as my submission! This fierce pterosaur will show you efficiency on both land and sky combat, while also giving you an excellent counter to corrupted creatures (let's be honest, enforcers are bad) and even the titans! I hope you enjoy this submission, as it was a collaborative effort with Tweee. Now onto the summary! - Receives the “Titan slayer” buff when fighting against a titan, this buff gives it 30% damage reduction and a 15% damage boost, additionally it is unaffected by any of the special abilities the titans have, the forest titans uprooting for example. - Has a passive 10% damage boost and reduction against corrupted creatures. This counts for tumors as well. - Is the best at gathering element dust, element shards, element and corrupted nodules from element veins. - After defeating any of the titans, you are able to make a platform saddle for it, though “outpost” saddle is more fitting. This unique tek-platform-saddle comes equipped with a built-in TEK generator, though you need to supply the saddle with element to keep it running of course. When clinged to a surface, on ground or flight it will shift its position to conform with the Hatzegopteryx body. - This saddle also has a stationary mode for when you need creatures to come up onto the platform, this stationary mode will deploy a staircase. - If fed element, it can become its own TEK saddle (somewhat similar to how Ferox function with element feeding, needs to be fed a certain amount) with 1 unique ability: - The ability it can activate is “Element overflow” of which it is able to deal 10% more damage for 10% of its health taken away. Additionally, the attacks boosted by this cause mechanical creatures (Enforcers and what not) to malfunction and be stunned for a short while, though this has a grace period, This is essentially a trade-off type ability. - Can cling to surfaces similar to a Tapejara, but more like it brute forces itself onto the surface with its strength. - Has its own unique apex drop called “Hatzegopteryx jaw” this item is required in the taming of Hatzegopteryx! Size: 1.5-2x the size of a Quetzal (Sizing by VaporVenator) 1.5X 2.0X Suggested Base Stats: Health: 1450 Stamina: 700 Oxygen: 150 Food: 1200 Weight: 600 Melee Damage: Found in the “Actions Section” per each attack. Movement Speed: 100% (Not as fast as a wyvern, though it can sprint faster than a wyvern on the ground.) Torpidity: N/A Wild: Hatzegopteryx can be seen flying throughout the wastelands hunting corrupted creatures, though if you are spotted you will absolutely be targeted. It is most commonly found wherever an element vein may be. They may also be rarely found in the Sunken Forest. Wild Baby Behavior: Hatzegopteryx as babies in the wild share the same aggressiveness that adults do! However, they are a rare sight to see and have no use for Hatzegopteryx jaws (they do not drop them) and are unable to be tamed. (Art done by Sovi) Titan Clinging: Hatzegopteryx are able to cling onto Titans similar to how Deinonychus are able to latch onto creatures, the cling locations for the Titans are where the tumors on them are. Once a Hatzegopteryx is clung onto the corrupted tumor, it is able to shred at it with reduced damage to the Titan itself, though be wary as it is very stamina intensive. (Art done by Jade) Platform Saddle Shifting: The platform of Hatzegopteryx is different than that of Quetzal, since it is able to cling and has a different posture than Quetzal, its platform saddle is able to shift into different positions depending on if its airborne, grounded, latched onto a surface or diving! Art of it taking off and latched are displayed currently. (Art done by ZCI5250) Taming Process: To tame a Hatzegopteryx you must first challenge it to a fight with a “Hatzegopteryx jaw” in your inventory, it will sense this and then begin to fight you as it sees you as a worthy adversary. When it gets to a low enough health point it will become “tired out” you must then use this opportunity to mount it, after that it will take off into the air, you must try to not get knocked off by rapid button mashing! If you fail, you’ll have to fight it again. - When you start breeding Hatzegopteryx, be wary of the babies as they will attack you at random! Alternate Taming Process suggestion: (This is a complete alternative, I am not suggesting it as a dual taming method type creature. It would either be one or the other.) Alternatively the sunken forest would have an area where wild Hatzegopteryx live when away from the wastelands, in this area Hatzegotperyx eggs may be found, though not without venturing deep within the tight caverns that seldom creatures fit without the threat of Hatzegopteryx spotting you. – This is a complete alternative, mainly due to the fact that Extinction does not have a creature with an egg-steal method, while Scorched Earth, Aberration and Genesis 1 do. Tamed: Congratulations! You’ve successfully tamed a Hatzegopteryx! Actions: - LMB (Or its controller equivalent): Performs a bite attack while in the air but a hook/punch while on the ground, with a base of 75 damage. Additionally this gathers from element nodes/veins. - RMB (Or its controller equivalent): Locks onto a flier of large enough size (Argentavis and up) and then proceeds to grapple onto them, this will cause it to rapidly descend into the ground and slam the enemy, the base damage increases the higher you go, ranging from 70 at the lowest to 150 at the highest, however taking 5% of health. Both Hatzegopteryx and the enemy flier will be unable to fly for a short while as well. Though this attack can miss and will cost a chunk of stamina and may not be used immediately after, so it's recommended to only do it on near wyvern sized fliers, this counts for gliding Rock Drakes or jumping Managarmr as well. - This attack will also allow you to cling onto the tumors on titans and shred them, which costs heavy stamina to stay on however. - C (Or controller equivalent): Aesthetic roar. - X (Or controller equivalent): Activates “Element overflow” when fed with enough element. - Spacebar (Or controller equivalent): Flight - Shift (Or controller equivalent): Sprinting on both land and sky. - Looking downwards: Gliding similar to Desmodus. Though this functions as a divebomb as well, as if it hits the ground it will cause a knock-back to creatures within its radius, though it does not do much damage (Roughly 30 base damage that barely scales). Utility & Scenarios: PvE: While at first glance Hatzegopteryx may seem to lean far into a PvP niche, it does not, it is incredibly useful for its element vein gathering capabilities, moreover it is great for clearing out both sky and ground threats on OSD’s. Additionally, it is perfect to bring along for titan fights, especially against the desert titan. PvP: Hatzegopteryx has excellence in a PvP niche as well, being able to effectively tackle other apex fliers is handy, especially since it is able to close the range between it and a wyvern for example, moreover it is able to combat Managarmrs with its grapple attack. And with its “Element overflow” ability, it's able to combat Meks as well. Counter: Hatzegopteryx is worse at sky combat than ground combat, so you can effectively use a fast flier to dodge its grapple attack. After that, you may attack at it until it can perform another grapple, though it's still best to watch out for its attacks, as it still does a hefty amount of damage. It's best to combat a Hatzegopteryx on the ground with an equal ground mount, such as a Rex. Additionally, flying for Hatzegopteryx costs more stamina than any other flier, so tiring one out in sky combat is viable. Conclusion: To conclude this submission, I believe Hatzegopteryx has a good niche carved out for what Extinction offers in terms of gameplay, filling in an otherwise untouched niche. While yes enforcer “covers it already” enforcers are just bad and not suited for late game, and is the main reason for Hatzegopteryx’s niche. Additionally, I believe there is a good balance between its PvP and PvE prowess, though that's up to you of course! Besides all that, I hope you enjoyed reading through the submission and vote for it in the end! Other interpretations: RiskyBiscuits:
  2. This unique predator lives up to it’s shadowy reputation. The Maip is able to literally hide and stalk from the shadows in total silence. Able to run, on both two legs or on all fours, it is able to thrive in a variety of environments, using element to it’s advantage, by feeding on the corruption instead of the other way around. A formidable force to be sure. Wild: The Maip is a cunning hunter that thrives in multiple environments, taking on new appearances in whatever environment it is in. This creature is able to leap almost as high as a Managmr, which they seem to have a rivalry with, usually by tackling them outta the sky, and using their corruption laced venom to incapacitate them. Due to their unique biology, they are likely able to disappear in the shadows, their glowing red eye’s remaining. They also seem to have a lust for blood, as it both feeds and enhances them, while also induces them into a rage. Domesticated:They are multiple different ways to tame these shadowy creatures. One way is to find their nest, and steal a couple of eggs to raise them from birth. Another way…to unleash its beast. Draw the pack towards a group of corrupt creatures, and let them get to work, feeding of the corruption and their blood. The reason they enjoy this, is because it upgrades both their teeth, and their terrible claws, turning them purple with corruption. However, when doing eithe blood, or corruption sends these creatures into a frenzy. In this state, help them kill as many corrupted as possible, while also protecting them, and they will protect you and your tame in return. The third way to earn their loyalty…is with fish. When a Maip pack approaches you, drop as many fish baskets as you can, and the pack will begin to devour the fish inside. On all fours: Left click: bite Right click: Slash Spacebar: Leap Tail whip Screech On Two legs. Bite: Corruption Venom Slash Double slash Jump/ pounce: Enable the Maip To jump high enough to clamp unto Managmr wings to bing it down. Asthetic Roar. Fishing: whenever this creature is in a large enough body of water, or a river or stream, it dips its claws in the water to hook fish. Water buff: While swimming or walking in water it gets a buff, similar to a spino and its claws and eyes turn a watery color. New Abilities: Frenzy: when enough corruption is consumed, the Maip will enter a frenzied state, it’s claws and eyes will glow purple, along with its body, and it’s damage will increase, lashing out at every enemy around it. It also takes less damage while in this state. (plz help me come up with ideas)
  3. Wild: While not as large as a Rex the Megaraptor still keeps it's place as an apex creature in the Wastelands normally traveling in a pack for 2-4. While strange that there are no sightings of purely corrupted Megaraptors they seem to consume corrupted creatures and enter some sort of uncontrollable rage and decimate any wildlife within the vicinity, including themselves. A fellow survivor wearing a ghillie suit attempted to research the Megaraptor enter it's corruption rage mode up close, but even with the suit they met a fatal end. After some time the Megaraptor will revert back to it's normal form and fall asleep. I've seen many survivors attempt to get close to the Megaraptor in an attempt to trap it while it was asleep, but it seems that the Megaraptor is a light sleeper and it will wake up and flee if it senses that a survivor or creature is close. Taming Method: Once isolated from it's pack the Megaraptor becomes somewhat docile, but still deadly. Wearing a ghillie suit is recommended if you want to get close enough to feed it a corrupted node. Once fed the corrupted node the player will have 5 seconds to run to a safe distance as the Megaraptor enters it's corruption rage mode. From there the player will have to protect the Megaraptor from taking damage while also having it kill corrupted creatures to increase it's taming. Make sure you stay out of range of it killing you as it doesn't know the difference between friend and foe. The taming bar will increase based off how many corrupted creatures the Megaraptor kills as well as the drag weight of the deceased corrupted creatures. The higher drag weight the more effective the taming progress and effectiveness will be. Domesticated: Once Domesticated The Megaraptor serves as an swift offensive bleeder and corruption killer. With it's sleek build, razor like claws, and the assistance of fellow pack members, it'll make quick work on any creature it'll come up against. While it has a preferred target in the wild being corrupted creatures, it seems that even domesticated it will want to eat a corrupted node or 2 every now and then to help it's addiction levels subside. Take caution while feeding it corrupted nodes as too many corrupted nodes in a short amount of time will lead to it going completely berserk and shred through anyone and anything in the area. It's a creature that requires care and patience if you want to see it's true potential, but it'll be a reliable ally in battle with enough training. Abilities: Left click attack: The Megaraptor attacks with it's claws causing a bleed that deals 0.7% of the target's HP over 15 seconds. This attack can be stacked 5 times dealing 3.5% of the target's max HP. Right Click attack: A pounce that'll launch the Megaraptor to the target. While latched to the target using it's claws the Megaraptor will begin to bleed the target and slowly drain the HP of the target while consuming it's stamina. R key: Enables a pack leader roar that increases the pack speed and attack speed for the next 2 minutes (Must be in a pack of 3-5) Space: Leap forward (Look behind to leap backwards) Corrupted Rage Mode: While in this mode the Megaraptor will have a boost in speed, attack, resistance to damage, resistance to tek turrets, and an immunity to fall damage. This effect will last for 20 minutes and have a 15 minute cooldown after the rage mode has subsided. Passive ability: A natural 4x damage buff against corrupted creatures *The Pack Leader buff and Corrupted Rage Mode can be used simultaneously* How to increase the corrupted node addiction levels: After taming the Megaraptor will want a corrupted node and increase how long the Corrupted Rage Mode will stay active. Every tamed Megaraptor will start out at 0% addiction level and will increase each time you feed it a corruption node. Take caution while feeding the Megaraptor corrupted nodes as each time it'll want more and more nodes and if you feed it too man nodes it'll enter the Corrupted Rage Mode and attack creatures, players, and structures in the area regardless if they are part of your tribe. There will be a slight indication in the eating animation that'll tell the player one more feed will send it into it's corrupted rage mode and the player should not feeding it. Misc: Saddle unlocks at 87 Because Corrupted nodes can not be transferred you will have to feed the Megaraptor 1 piece of element ore to enter the corrupted rage mode on other maps.
  4. Sinraptor Olympicus Wild: The sinraptor is a medium size creature like the allosaurus , this creature is very strong, have a toxic bite and strong arms that causes bleeding, is very faster and have reduction of damage of 50 percent of all dinos except bosses the bosses is 30 percent Taming: The sinraptor to be tamed you need to sacrifice your dinos the bigger the better Tamed: the sinraptor is very strong have a reduction of damage of 55 percent and for corrupted dinos 80 percent of reduction of damage and x3 of damage the left click is a powerful bite, the right click is an slash with his hands thats cause bleeding the c is and lash that pushes dinos and the x is a roar that gives a buff of attack and resistence of 70 percent and for corrupted 85 percent Spawn: this creature spawns in forests and deserts
  5. This is Mamenchisaurus, Extinction’s last bastion against the corruption. This powerful creature is one of the strongest tames known, rivaling even the Giga and Charchar in terms of use. Let’s get into her, shall we? Design In real life, the Mamenchisaurus was a large sauropod found in Jurassic China. They had few predators due to their size, and had one of the longest necks known among dinosaurs. On Extinction, they boast a coat of protofeathers on their backs and tails, as well as the element-infused underside shared by Velonasaurs and Managarmr. When empowered by eating a corrupted heart, the spines along its back will glow blue, much like the “good” element color on its and most Extinction creature’s underbellies. Dossier “Common Name: Mamenchi Species: Mamenchisaurus Interfectorem Corruptionis Time: Late Jurassic Diet: Herbivorous Temperament: Defensive” Wild ”The wild and unnatural wastes of Earth are oftentimes too much for any creature, much less any herbivores. and yet? the righteous and gigantic Mamenchisaurus stands tall against the waves of opposition. These huge sauropods use their weight and mighty tails to combat the hordes of corrupted creatures in the wastes, sometimes even fighting Titans and winning! They make a unique use of corrupted nodes and hearts they pick up, turning the former into a tame-enhancing applicant, and the latter into sheer elemental power, the beast being near unstoppable when under its effects.” Domesticated “While not exactly easy to tame, Mamenchisaurus offer immense utility to anyone who can wield its power. It’s among the only creatures I’ve seen fight those Titans and hold its own, meaning that, next to the MEKs, they’re arguably the best creature for taking on those abominations. Earning one’s trust, on the other hand, is a whole ‘nother beast entirely.” Ecology Mamenchisaurus are massive herbivores found wandering the Wastelands of Extinction. Despite being herbivores, they will relentlessly attack and kill hordes of Corrupted Creatures, leaving most other species alone. Due to their immense size, they are rarely, if ever, attacked by predators such as Rexes or Spinos. Taming Mamenchisaurus are tamed strangely. A Wild Juvenile must be found and interacted with to begin the process, as it will follow you after being interacted with. While it is following you, you must kill Corrupted Creatures (Or Titans if it is more convenient for larger tribes) and ensure the Juvenile’s health never drops below 50%. If it does, the Juvenile will become aggressive to you. After enough creatures are slain, the Juvenile will warm up to you and sit down, allowing it to be fed a single Corrupted Heart to tame. The larger the creature slain, the more the taming bar goes up. Abilities Mamenchisaurus offer a wide range of abilities meant to fight off the rampant corruption. For starters, the species passively deals 2x more damage to Corrupted Creatures and Titans, are near impossible to knock back from Titan attacks, and can rotate in place. Their main attack is a directional foot stomp, allowing them to hit all directions around them. Their secondary attack is a neck sweep, giving them far more range than their primary attack. Their third and strongest attack is a charged and targeted tail whip, so precise as to accurately impact corrupted points on Wild Titans and dismount riders. Lastly, Mamenchisaurus can convert Corrupted Nodules into a paste that empowers tames against corrupted creatures, and can consume Corrupted hearts to gain an even further damage boost, enough to also damage metal structures. The main drawbacks of such power is the beast’s terrible speed, high demands for food, lacking attack power against non-corrupted creatures, as well as the substantial cooldowns/recoil that all of its abilities have. Uses ~Mass Gatherer Though not its intended purpose, Mamenchisaurus’s Neck sweep can harvest trees and bushes, gathering immense amounts of wood, thatch, fiber and berries. ~Wave Defender Due to its buffs against corrupted creatures, Mamenchisaurus is a must-have for OSDs or Element Veins. The one catch is due to its large AoEs and damage, the Mamenchisaurus must be placed away from the defended position to avoid it breaking the target itself. ~Raiding/Raid Defense Due to its large health pool and size, Mamenchisaurus can somewhat effectively drain turrets of their ammo, and breaks down defenses due to being able to break Metal structures in its empowered state. On the flip side, Mamenchisaurus can effectively counter raiders using Titans due to its powerful anti-corruption abilities. ~Titan Hunting/Taming Due to its power against Titans and Corrupted Creatures, Mamenchisaurus is best used to fight these gargantuan threats. It can even be used for taming the behemoths due to its targeted tail whip attack. It can easily compete with Giganotosaurus and Carcharodontosaurus against any of the Titans, including the King Titan. The one caveat is the creature’s inability to properly attack the Desert Titan when wild, due to the Titan’s tendency to fly high out of reach of most creatures (this can be circumvented by building a large enough platform on a Quetz Platform saddle, much like how one flies a Giga up to the Titan). Notes -I submitted the Mamenchisaurus due to the lack of variety in most community votes. While many different species (some good, some bad) have made it into the top ten, the winners are mostly the large carnivores (Charchar, Fasolasuchus, Gigantoraptor) or flyers (Desmodus, Sinomacrops, Rhyniognatha) and I wanted to introduce something new. Specifically a herbivore, as the last herbivore to be introduced was the Amargasaurus on Lost Island (unless the Andrewsarchus eats berries but I don’t recall it doing so). -The Mamenchisaurus was designed as both a PvP and a PvE tame to appeal to both crowds. While it doesn’t have distinct utilities angled toward either party like the Laeallyenasaura (My last submission), it’s unique abilities make it an valuable tame for late-game Extinction, for both PvE and PvP tribes. -Mamenchisaurus was partially designed to shake up the meta, given its anti-titan abilities and its precise and powerful tail whip. -While titan-opposing dinosaurs have been proposed before, I made mine a sauropod to differentiate itself. -The Mamenchisaurus’s taming method, particularly the feeding of a Corrupted Heart, was meant to dissuade the taming of early-game. -Mamenchisaurus’s main counter would be speedy player-controlled flyers or gliders, which can easily get hits in without being struck themselves. -If targeted right, the Mamenchisaurus’s tail whip can very easily put Managarmrs or Rock Drakes out of commission, swiftly killing the beast or its rider with its immense power.
