Liaoningosaurus Paradoxus (the water anky)
DrayatheDrake posted a suggestion in Creature submission archive
If you have any suggestions for this, I'd happily consider them. Name: Liaoningosaurus Paradoxus Temperment: Skittish Diet: Omnivorous Habitat: Coastal cliffs L. paradoxus L. paradoxus was unusual among ornithischian dinosaurs in that it ate fish. Unlike most ankylosaurid it sports 5 digits on its front feet and a shell-like ventral bony plate which is present in no other ankylosaur. Teeth in Liaoningosaurus are relatively large with the points on the tooth crown being strangely long and sharp, forming a sort of "fork". While as slow moving as its cousin on land it takes to the water with surprising speed and ease. They're rather skittish in nature so if you're looking to take one it's a slow and tedious process. However, I've found, that placing specially prepared pieces of fish on the ground for it goes a long way in gaining its friendship. Immune to ammonite bile Immune to stuns and bleeds Attacks Tail smash - stuns foes Tail swing - has a decent knockback. Bite - causes bleed Whirlpool (advanced tail swing)-causes a localized sandstorm that traps enemies at the cost of 50% of overall stamina the more stamina it has the longer the sandstorm lasts. Resources Black pearls, silica pearls, and biotoxin can be found in their dens. These dens can be found on the sides of cliffs, though they are rather rare. Killing Cnidaria grants a 65% boost to harvesting for 2min. While having this boost the Liaon 44% of pearls harvested from a pearl node are converted to black pearls. It can harvest both plants and corpses. Taming Cook fish in a pot with Amar and Azul berries to get a sweet fish steak. Drop one on the ground and let the Liaon eat it before approaching. Pet it and let it run away, it will return once it's ready to eat again. Once it reaches 30% tamed it will stop running from you and start to follow you. Koreoceratops Lanceae "The Hover ceratopcian"
Roida posted a suggestion in Creature submission archive
"The Koreaceratops will increase your effective exploration range. For your safety please pack supplies for long journeys, and always stay within 5km of the surface" - HLN-A Species: Koreaceratops Lanceae Time: Mid-Cretaceous Diet: omnivorous (and Cnidaria venom) Temperament: Territorial (aggressive against Cnidaria) WILD Koreaceratops is a curious creature, this bipedal species of small ceratopsids are often located on the shores of arkas in search of their favorite food.... CNIDARIAS, surprisingly the biology of this species was adapted to deal with these pesky creatures (perhaps as a way to control the population of these) although their bite in itself is enough to damage any adversary they are also capable of attacking from a distance by shooting a small but powerful jet of water that can easily knock the creatures out. DOMESTICATED Although Koreaceratops are immune to many types of narcotics and poisons due to their particular diet I have seen the survivor get a group of these creatures as mounts, they are usually used as collection mounts on land but they stand out more in the high seas where tribes have used their eagerness to eat Cnidaria to their advantage making them great mounts to take the resources that these and other marine invertebrates generate and use them to their advantage combining these resources with their characteristic water jets, from giving them a paralyzing effect with Cnidaria bile to using it as a blinding projectile with Tusho oil, no wonder this creature became so unique to me. - Helena ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Are you tired of dying in the middle of the water because of a group of jellyfish? Do you want to take revenge on them? Do you want to regulate their population and at the same time raise awareness of how important turtles are for the ecosystem of our world? THEN VOTE FOR KOREACERATOPS AND YOUR PROBLEMS WILL BE SOLVED!!!! Koreaceratops will be of great help exploring the seas of ark and The Center and even help you to farm different materials from the creatures that live here, I hope you like it and in case I don't see you, good evening, good afternoon and good night. Steller's sea cow - underwater healer and tank
Apgamen posted a suggestion in Creature submission archive
Greetings! The oceans of ark are in need of new creatures and the Steller's sea cow would be a unique addition to ark. Dossier: Species - Hydrodamalis gigas Time - Late holocene Diet - Herbivore Temperament - Passive Size - 8-9 metres weighing around 10 tonnes. Wild Hydrodamalis gigas is typically found in areas with shallow waters where they peacefully graze the seagrass. These creatures are completely passive and seem to rely on their size to deter most predators. These creatures seem very caring of each other, when a member of the herd is wounded the others surround it and tries to protect it. Somehow this seems to speed up the recovering process. Unfortunately for the sea cows, survivors utilize this fact when hunting as these bulky animals have proven to be an excellent source of hide and meat. Tamed Although slow the sea cows are useful additions to the tribe. When tamed they have the ability to emit a healing aura which heals nearby creatures. Due to their bulky frames and thick hide they are immune to Cnidaria stuns and are often used as tanks. But I would recommend bringing other creatures for offense as Hydrodamalis gigas are poor fighters. Uses: Underwater healer - The sea cow would work similarly to the daedon emitting pulses that heal other creatures. This would drain the food stat. Cnidaria protection - Steller's sea cow had very thick hide and it would protect against stuns. Source of meat, prime meat and hide - their bulky frames would mean that they are good sources for these resources. Taming method: Passive with sweet vegetable cakes as the most effective taming food. Kibble of the superior tier, vegetables and berries can be used as well. Saddles: There could be two types of saddles, an ordinary saddle unlocked at around level 50 and a saddle allowing for faster travel unlocked att later stages (90+). The jet propulsion saddle would of course affect the turning radius of the animal and could function as a submarine. The Submarine saddle picture will be provided in the comments. Controls Left mouse button - Bite, a bite with small AoE with low damage. Manatees are not fighters. Right mouse button - Tail swipe, deals slightly more damage useful for attackers from behind. C - Healing ability, C toggles the healing ability which would work similarly to the daeodon draining the food stat. The healing radius would be bigger in order to effectively heal allies during raids and moeder fights. Why should Steller's sea cow be added? The steller's sea cow would make for an interesting addition to the arks as there are no aquatic healing creatures as of yet. They could be bulky underwater tanks which would also be useful and it would be interesting with another aquatic herbivore and a creature that isn't ridiculously overpowered.- 7 replies
