  1. (The art and dossier above was done by Sav!) (WILDCARD AND GARUGA…. KEEP THE PATTERN AND COLOR SCHEME PLEASE!!! THANKS - XOXO KATANA THE NAUTILUS) Introducing the Palaeoctopus! You may recognize him from Aberration, as I also submitted that version! This large (Megatherium sized) land cephalopod is found in the bog, and rarely the ocean of Genesis. A curious and crafty creature, the unique properties of its ink allow it to make special potions that aid you in all 5 of the genesis biomes, against the elements or any foe! For example, do you want to get rid of a horde of dire wolves? Throw down a Space Brew potion and make a mini black hole to trap them in one place! Or do you need to go down to the depths of the ocean but your scuba gear is broken? Simply drink an Ocean Potion and you’ll be able to dive deeper and see clearer! (And stay to the very end for some other cool submissions you should check out!!!) Ability and actions summary: (The ability concept sheet was done by DjayMasi!) Mobile Apothecary: The main feature of Palaeoctopus, it has 11 total potion options, 5 that benefit you and your allies, 5 that are for offense against enemies and 1 special brew! Respectively named the beneficial and volatile branches, each of the 5 potions on either side correspond with a genesis biome. Mimicry: Palaeoctopus are able to camouflage with their surroundings, this reduces your speed by 20% but makes you invisible to aggressive creatures and other things like turrets (For turrets this only works up to 2 foundations away and TEK ones are exempt). If you are attacked when camouflaged however, you will become vulnerable and take 10% more damage while still moving slowly. Coating: Using the same ink that is used for potions, it can coat itself to give its attacks affixes that relate to the biome specific ink. Volcano ink will make its attacks do fire damage, similar to if a fire wyvern were to attack you with its breath, for example. Moreover, these coatings add special attacks and features as well. Creature holding: With 8 strong arms and plenty of suction cups, it's no surprise that Palaeoctopus is able to grab and hold creatures similar to, say, Megalosaurus. This can be used to transport allies (and throw em) or suffocate your enemies by draining their oxygen, eventually killing them, or slamming them. Climbing: Again, 8 strong arms with suction cups make it possible for Palaeoctopus to climb steep surfaces, even being able to hang upside down. This is useful for sneaking around when camouflaged or getting up those ocean pillars. (Still not as useful as a bloodstalkers sheer maneuverability but it gets the job done) Potion making in-depth: Potion brewing is done with a unique saddle, the “brew-master” with the process being like this: 1: Let it produce ink passively, the properties of this ink change depending on what biome you are in. - Note: (Palaeoctopus must first acclimate to biomes before producing the special ink, having it mimic the surroundings and wander around will speed up the acclimation process, for reference if you were to mimic the environment 5 times, you would nearly be at 80% acclimation! A quick process. If a baby Palaeoctopus grows up in a biome however, it will automatically be able to produce ink related to that region. You can also use items like ambergris and shell fragments on it in order to acclimate instantly if on a different map or find similar biomes on other maps, a swamp acts as a replacement for bog acclimation for example) 2: Jars are used to bottle the potions, so place them in its inventory. 3: Choose to craft either a beneficial potion or a volatile one, having a different section for either. And that's it! Players or Palaeoctopus itself can throw the potions. As for potion details: Beneficial branch: (These can also be used on creatures!) - Bog brew: This potion will make it so insect swarms will no longer target you, you will also be more hidden from creatures overall, reducing their aggro towards you. - Volcano brew: This potion gives you heat resistance and also fire attack resistance from creatures such as Magmasaurs or weapons like torches. - Ocean brew: This potion increases your swim speed and reduces oxygen consumption. You are also able to see clearer underwater. - Snow brew: This potion gives you cold resistance and immunity to being stunned. - Space brew: This potion allows you to jump higher and have resistance to radiation. Volatile branch: - Brew of Continuous Defecation (bog): Throwing this potion at enemies drains their stamina, increases their torpor and makes them defecate. - Brew of Raging Inferno (volcano): Throwing this potion causes a patch of fire to form where it is thrown, any creature or player that steps into this fire is set on fire. And anything that is near the creature/player on fire will also be set on fire (including fire immune creatures such as fire Wyverns for example). - Brew of Abyssal Rage (ocean): Throwing this potion at enemies blinds them and causes them to attack anything around them, including their allies (both tamed and wild). - Brew of Eternal Frost (snow): Throwing this potion at enemies freezes them in place to stun them momentarily, if a player is hit then they will instantly be freezing to death. - Brew of Cosmic Bending (space): Throwing this potion causes a small black hole to form, dragging in anything caught within its radius for 10 seconds (which makes them unable to move or jump, stuck in the same position). Special: - Witches brew: By acclimating in all 5 biomes, this potion can be made. It gives a 5% buff to your crafting speed, EXP gain and movement speed. You may feel a bit trippy afterwards however….. (Also unlocks a bowler hat cosmetic, this cephalopod is truly breaking bad). Coatings: Coatings work similarly to the potions, your cephalopod friend must first become acclimated to the different biomes in order to use them. Once you have enough specialized ink, you can use the coatings in relation to the ink it is from. (again the acclimation can be done in the Genesis biomes or similar biomes from other maps such as swamps replacing bog acclimation or deserts replacing volcano acclimation!) Bog coating: Causes your attacks to ignore some armor and also break down armor durability faster! Can release a toxic cloud that inflicts torpor and drains stamina as well! Volcano coating: Your attacks will do fire damage over time, similar to a fire wyverns breath! This also unlocks a special attack allowing you to spew a ranged fire attack from the siphon! Ocean coating: A defensive coating, if any enemy attacks you physically they will receive electrical recoil! (which is just recoil but with fancy electricity effects). Additionally, when an enemy hits you too many times it will stun/paralyze them for 10 seconds! Snow coating: Your attacks will do ice element damage over time, like a managarmr of sorts! This also adds an ice armor around the octopus that increases health regeneration! Space coating: A unique defensive coating, you will be able to flashbang enemies to stun them for a small amount of time, this also afflicts some radiation on them. Another effect is that you and the Palaeoctopus have greater resistance to radiation. After using any of these coatings, you are locked into them for 10 minutes, 6 minutes for active usage and 4 minutes for a cooldown period. Moveset: Primary attack (LMB, RT, R2): Punch (Base 30 dmg) Secondary attack (RMB, LT, L2): Grab and hold creature (If you press the primary attack button/key it’ll start slamming the creature for base 40 dmg. If you hold RMB/LT/L2 it’ll start suffocating the creature, and if you simply let go of the button it’ll throw the creature or player.) Third attack/ability (C, R, R): Apply coating or throw potion (Holding Space,A,X will let you choose which action to do). Once the coating is applied, this button will convert into usage of the specialized attack or ability the coating has (fire spew, ice armor, etc). Climbing (Space, A, X): When near steep or vertical terrain, it will start climbing. (This consumes stamina of course) Taunt (Left ctrl, LB, LT): This is just aesthetic, similar to an aesthetic roar. (Ragebaiting) Taming method and behavior: Palaeoctopus are naturally curious creatures, and in the wild they are able to camouflage. So, if you are in the bog and suddenly grabbed, don’t be alarmed, it's simply curious and will let go (eventually). If you don’t have time for that however, hitting it with a torch will make it skedaddle. However, if you have narcotics, stimulants, medical brews or bug repellent on hand, it’ll initiate the taming process. Simply, you just have to place them in your hotbar and show them off, more complex recipes will give higher taming. You can also show it dishes like broth of enlightenment, which effectively act as a kibble (with enlightenment giving the most taming). Just simply keep showing your drug collection and it'll be impressed enough to be your new cephalopod friend! End (And credits/shoutouts/fanart): And that’s all, I hope the concepts and ideas I have outlined have interested you enough to toss a vote! Thanks for reading the submission! Big thanks to ZCI5250, Sav, DjayMasi, RRG, Ashgcy, SappyDaisy, and Hatcheri for providing either feedback or art for this fella! I couldn’t have made this concept as good without their help! CEPHALOPOD ACTIVITIES !!!!!!!!!!! AND FANART BY WOLFTEK / DRAWOLF!! ALSO GO VOTE FOR ZCI RHOMALEOSAURUS AND OTHER COOL SUBMISSIONS HERE
  2. English concept and pictures in the link bellow: https://stegourosgenesis1.my.canva.site/ Concept et images en Français dans le lien ci-dessous : https://stegourosgenesis1.my.canva.site/fr Common name: Stégouros Species: Stégouros Elengassen Time: Late cretaceous Diet: Herbivorous Temperament: Passive Introduction: THE STEGOUROS IS A CREATURE THOUGHT FOR THE ARK GENESIS MAP PART 1. IT IS INSPIRED BY THE DINOSAUR THAT EXISTED, STEGOUROS ELENGASSEN. THIS CREATURE HAS A MORPHOLOGY SIMILAR TO THAT OF THE STEGOUROS ELENGASSEN, BUT IS BIGGER, IT IS ALSO ADAPTED TO SIMULATION BY PRODUCING ITS OWN BIOLUMINESCENT MOLECULES. Spawn: STÉGOUROS IS FOUND IN THE BOG BIOME OF MAP ARK GENESIS PART 1. Wild: STEGOUROS LIVE IN SMALL HERDS OF 3 TO 5 INDIVIDUALS. THEY ARE PEACEFUL UNLESS ONE OF THEIR OWN IS ATTACKED, IN THIS CASE THEY WILL RESPOND TO VIOLENCE WITH VIOLENCE AND WILL NOT HESITATE TO OVERWHELM THE OPPONENT WITH THE NUMBER IF THEY HAVE THE POSSIBILITY. Domestication: THE STEGOUROS IS TAMABLE AS FOLLOWS: TRUST: INITIALLY, YOU WILL NEED TO GAIN THE CONFIDENCE OF THE HERD THANKS TO SOME BERRIES AND A LITTLE TENDERNESS. WATCH OUT! THE SLIGHTEST ASSAULT ON ANY MEMBER OF THE HERD WILL TURN IT IMMEDIATELY AGAINST YOU. IT WILL THEN BE IMPOSSIBLE TO CONTINUE TAMING FOR A CERTAIN TIME. ONCE THE HERD IS CONFIDENT, IT WILL ENTRUST YOU WITH PROTECTING THEIR NEST AND THE EGGS IT CONTAINS. PROTECTION: DURING THIS PHASE THE NEST WILL BE ATTACKED BY DIFFERENT WAVES OF EGG-EATING PREDATORS (THE OVIRAPTORS AND THE GIGANTORAPTORS WE SEE YOU!). BE CAREFUL NOT TO INADVERTENTLY TOUCH A STEROGUS DURING THE PROCESS OR YOU MIGHT END UP WITH MORE ENEMIES ON YOUR HANDS THAN EXPECTED... IN ADDITION TO HAVING MISSED YOUR TAMING. THANKS: IN CASE OF SUCCESS AND AS A TOKEN OF THANKS, THE HERD WILL ENTRUST YOU WITH THE EGG AT THE HIGHEST LEVEL OF THE BROOD (THE LEVEL OF THE GIVEN EGG BEING EQUIVALENT TO THAT OF THE ADULT INDIVIDUAL OF THE HERD HAVING THE HIGHEST LEVEL). ALL YOU WILL HAVE TO DO IS INCUBATE THE EGG AND RAISE THE BABY IN THE BEST CONDITIONS. Ridable: ONCE THE STEGOUROS IS ADULT IT IS POSSIBLE TO SADDLE IT IN ORDER TO RIDE IT. STEGOUROS HAS A BITE ATTACK AND A TAIL STRIKE. THE TAIL STRIKE WILL HAVE DIFFERENT EFFECTS DEPENDING ON THE ORDERS THAT THE CREATURE HAS RECEIVED. Saddle: THERE ARE TWO TYPES. A LIGHT SADDLE AND A HEAVY SADDLE. THE FIRST SADDLE CAN BE MADE AT LEVEL 50. THE SECOND AT LEVEL 65. Harvest mode: MACAHUILT TAIL (SIMILAR TO THAT OF STÉGOUROS ELENGASSEN). BLUE BIOLUMINESCENCE ON THE PLATES OF THE TAIL AND BACK. IN THIS MODE, THE STEGOUROS DEALS REDUCED DAMAGE TO CREATURES BUT BOOSTED TO RESOURCES. IT’S A DINOSAUR WHO EXCELS IN HARVESTING FIBER THAT HE USES WHEN MAKING HIS NESTS, THE OBSIDIAN HE HEATS IN THE SUN TO KEEP HIS EGGS WARM EVEN AT NIGHT, THE SAND AND CLAY THAT ARE THE BASE OF ITS NESTS AND FINALLY THE MUSHROOMS OF ALL TYPES AND THE RARE FLOWERS IT FEEDS ON. THE SURVIVOR WILL ALSO BE ABLE TO MANUFACTURE ALL OBJECTS AND WEAPONS REQUIRING STEGOUROS PLATES FOR THEIR MANUFACTURING FROM STEGOUROS SADDLES. WITH THE LIGHT SADDLE, THE WEIGHT OF STEGOUROS IS BOOST A LITTLE. Attack mode: THE TAIL PLATES CLUSTER TO FORM A SERRATED BLADE. RED BIOLUMINESCENCE ON THE TAIL AND BACK PLATES. IN THIS MODE, THE STEGAROS INFLICTS BLEEDING DAMAGE. EVERY 5 ATTACKS HAVING HIT AN ENEMY TARGET, STÉGOUROS WILL LOSE A PLATE OF HIS TAIL. THE DETACHED PLATE WILL GO DIRECTLY INTO HIS INVENTORY. ON THE TAIL THE MISSING PLATE WILL BE IMMEDIATELY REPLACED, SO THERE WILL BE NO LOSS OF DPS. THE STEROGOUS PLATE IS A PERISHABLE OBJECT THAT CAN BE USED IN THE MANUFACTURE AND IMPROVEMENT OF OBJECTS. WITH THE LIGHT SADDLE, THE SPEED ATTACK AND SPEED OF STEGOUROS IS BOOST A LITTLE. Defence mode: THE TAIL PLATES WIDEN AND ENLARGE TO FORM A PROTECTIVE DOME ABOVE THE RIDER. GREEN BIOLUMINESCENCE ON THE TAIL AND BACK PLATES. IN THIS MODE, THE RESISTANCE OF STEGOUROS AND ITS RIDER INCREASES BY 30%. STÉGOUROS CAN PULL DOWN HIS TAIL VIOLENTLY ON THE GROUND TO REPEL ENEMIES AND SLOW THEM FOR 10S BUT THE DAMAGE DEALT IS MINIMAL. WITH THE HEAVY SADDLE, THE RIDER(S) OF STEGOUROS IS / ARE UNTOUCHABLE WITH GRAPPLES, NETS AND BY FLYING CREATURES. Stegouros plate: THE STEGOUROS PLATE IS A PERISHABLE OBJECT OBTAINED EVERY 5 TAIL BLOWS GIVEN IN ATTACK MODE BY A STEGOUROS. IT IS AUTOMATICALLY PICKED UP BY THE STEGOUROS WHO PRODUCED IT. 3. Ninjemys artwork done by (Nellie Pease/CABAH)(https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/) The Ninjemys turtle has 3 main selling point is saliva mixture its shell and its spin. First the saliva. The saliva made with multiple berries and veggies is what i was thinking. Now this mixture is something special being able to lure any kind of creature to its aroma. Ever failed to put a creature in a trap? ever had a tame wake up and run away from you to get killed? This mixture fixes that, NOW that being said it works in the sense of distracting the tame or creature from all else attacking anything but the thing with this the creature is in a trans like state so if you damage it enough the tame will snap out of it and start to run free. The solution is mostly used for luring and can even be combo with things like bear traps to catch prey passively or even work with bees when you take honey if you throw this stuff out they will be attracted to the solution. Their is also a meat version you just you know have to have meat to add to the mixture with saliva Side note ---- The amount of time the creature is distracted by the mixture depends on the quality of ingredients for example prime meat will keep a creature distracted much longer than just regular raw meat The next thing is for all the PVP players the shell. The thing with the shell of the ninjemys is it doubles as a shield. Now you can harvest the shell from the inventory of a ninjemys once you kill it. Once you obtain the shield combine it with some metal and you have yourself one of the best shields in the game. What's special about this shield? you can use guns..... That's right with this shield you can finally use handguns with it being the revolver or fabricated pistol. Another feature the shield has is thorns. When holding the shield up if hit with a physical attack that being a punch to a slash from a sword it will do some damage back to the player or creature that hit you. Lastly arguably the Ninjemys best feature its spinning personality. (Spinning) The spin a extremely powerful move but with every op thing it has it draw backs. The ninjemys spins very fast drawing in nearby creature it doesn't matter if its land, sea, or air, he's got them all. The spins power grows stronger the longer it lasts from not pulling a lot to being able to suck a argy fully in and well you know what happens after that. But the scaling to the power stops near a argys size to maybe a managamr, now i know you wanted to pull in a quetzal or maybe even a rhyno AND you can the ninjemys have a pack ability. The pack ability consists of 4 max to make a pack now along with getting the pack buff for the added effect, if all in a pack the 4 turtles can all spin making essentially a mega tornado taking down even the biggest of flyers and creatures The spinning shells of destruction can also move while spinning although its quite slow they still can and while spinning anything in there path will be gonna doesn't matter if thats a creature, rock , or tree...... gone i tell you The draw backs.... The main problem with this ability is how much stamina it needs, and it needs a lot. I think with a ability this good it needs a lot of stamina but DO NOT let that stamina hit zero I REPEAT DON'T let it hit zero. The problem if the stamina hits zero while your spinning extremely fast a effect will happen called burnout leaving your ninjemys immobile and extremely vulnerable to attacks and if this happen in a bad situation you can kiss your ninjemys good bye... The ninjemys all has a tumbler. Having this ability is just a added bonus nothing to special but with a little box checked in the inventory and give your ninjemys a spin it will take wood and make it into thatch, etc nothing to flashy about this ability The final special ability with the ninjemys tuck in. the ninjemys can tuck in similar to the doedic but the ninjemys can do it on command. This abilty will be very help in tight spots when tucked in the ninjemys gets a huge dmg reduction and will heal slightly faster than normal pace. The ninjemys last touch ups is its bite and tail attack. You would not wanna be bitten by this thing its got a nasty bite rivaling the strength with bite force to a deinosuchus. This turtle does bite extremely slow though so uh yea theres that.. The other thing the tail attack is a small to medium slam to the ground since the turtle has a slow as sin turning radius it uses it tail to slam. The slam has the ability to knock back certain sized creatures like a raptor or parasaurs while still doing decent damage. Taming method. The ninjemys is pretty simple to tame. The main thing you have to do is get some berries or better and wait for the turtle to fall asleep. You will know if the ninjemys is asleep if its laying down into its shell, now it doesn't sleep forever so chop chop and get to feeding. VOTE FOR NINJEMYS !!!!!
  4. Never have I encountered an amphibian quite like Koolasuchus. At first glance, it seems sluggish as it lounges in the cool wetlands of the Genesis simulation—but that stillness is a lie. When prey draws near, it bursts from the water with shocking speed, its massive jaws snapping shut with bone-crushing force. Despite its almost comical, salamander-like appearance, Koolasuchus is a ruthless predator, perfectly at home beneath icy shelves or in murky swamps where its mottled skin blends seamlessly into the depths. Many survivors have mistaken its low, bubbling calls for harmless ambience—right before vanishing beneath the surface. Roughly the size of a Deinosuchus, this is one creature best admired from a distance. INTRODUCING.... KOOLAIDD!!! Art commissioned by RiskyBiscuits on Discord (Amazing artist btw). Base Stats HP: 680 Stam: 250 Weight: 700 O2: 1200 Base Damage: 50 (65 with hydration) Taming (Explained in Helena style) Approaching Koolasuchus with the intent to domesticate it is no small feat. It is a decidedly antisocial creature, quick to lash out at anything that wanders into its domain. Yet, curiously, I have observed a most peculiar behavior: when it lies motionless with its enormous jaws agape, it seems to be waiting in ambush. If a survivor is bold enough to offer living prey at such a time—particularly medium-sized beasts, roughly up to the size of a trike—the Koolasuchus will readily engulf them whole. The more robust the offering, the greater its satisfaction, and the quicker one may earn its wary trust. After enough such feedings, it begins to tolerate the survivor’s presence. At that stage, further patience is required, as it will only accept offerings of Exceptional Kibble until the bond is fully secured. It is a brutal, almost unsettling ritual—appeasing the beast with blood and sacrifice before it consents to companionship. Yet such is often the way with the denizens of this strange world. Abilities and Attacks (Ability) Excellent Harvester: Koolasuchus excels at Harvesting specific niche resources (Polymers,, rare flowers and rare mushrooms from ground resources; Chitin, Oil and Pearls from Trilobites and other Arthropods; and Oil, Electronics and Element dust from Tek creatures). It will Harvest 3x the resources and like a moschops it can be boosted to gather more, and it will do so from each category (gains 1.75% each level). (Ability) Hydration Buff: Koolasuchus is stronger in the water, mainly because its an amphibian, without water it will have regular stats, but with the Hydration buff it will gain a 30% speed, defense and damage buff, for up to 5 minutes. Gaping Mouth: Like a deinosuchus, Koolasuchus has a massive mouth, one which can swallow entire creatures whole, up to the size of a Trike, the bigger the creature the more healing it provides, also the longer it takes to swallow and bleed out the creature. If creature is too big to swallow it will deal armor shattering, which will make it so the next hits are not reduced by armor (example, if used on a rolled up doedicerus, the damage dealt on the second attack will not be reduced,) Bite: Regular Bite that deals normal damage. Tail Swipe: deals massive knockback, mainly for harvesting fiber, thatch and used to harvest rare mushrooms and flowers better. Other Important things Koola saddle will be unlocked at lvl 78, and (The way i think it would happen) would spawn in the Bog, and ocean biomes, will have an R version that hides in the waters of Rockwells depths, aswell as Spawning in eventually Fjordur and Lost Island. I thought of making this creature, and making it seem realistic while also adding usefulness and having it look like an ACTUAL Koolasuchus and then stylizing it by making it massive, (it is not supposed to be this big, even though irl it would be big enough to eat a human). Ive had this in thought for ages and luckily now i can post it here, MAY THE BEST SUBMISSION WIN (Im most likely not even making it past the first round lol)
  5. What is an Einiosaurus? ALL ARTWORK FOR THIS CONCEPT WILL BE POSTED IN THE #fanart-and-screenshots SECTION OF THE OFFICIAL ARK DISCORD ALL CONCEPT ART IS ALSO BEING PUT IN THE COMMENTS OF THIS CONCEPT (hand drawn) PLEASE CHECK IT OUT AFTER YOU FINISH READING THE CONCEPT! Einiosaurus is an extinct genus of herbivorous centrosaurine ceratopsian dinosaurs from the Late Cretaceous period that lived between 74.5 and 74 million years ago (Campanian stage) in what is now northwestern Montana. The name means "bison lizard," a combination of eini ("bison" in the native American Blackfeet language) and sauros (from Latinized Ancient Greek); the species name (procurvicornis) means "with a forward-curving horn" in Latin. Thus, its full name is translated as "bison lizard with a forward-curving horn." Einiosaurus was medium-sized, with an estimated body length of 4.5 meters. All known Einiosaurus fossils were found in Montana, USA, in 1985 by Jack Horner. They include three skulls and hundreds of other bones, representing about fifteen individuals of different ages. The fact that these individuals were found together suggests that Einiosaurus lived in herds, grazing in hot, semi-arid environments. For Ark: Survival Ascended, I created the specific name angaba (“haunted” in the indigenous Tupi-Guarani language), making it the "haunted bison lizard." Classic Dossier Common Name: Einiosaurus Species: Einiosaurus Angaba Time: Late Cretaceous Diet: Herbivore Temperament: Territorial Wild The Einiosaurus is one of the most interesting creatures I have seen. Smaller than its relatives Triceratops and Pachyrhinosaurus, these ceratopsids travel in small groups and use their peculiar frill for camouflage or to scare and hypnotize those who invade their territory. Domesticated Many survivors I've spoken with have earned an Einiosaurus's trust after challenging and defeating it in a duel using a Pachyrhinosaurus. Once mastered, riders craft a saddle that sometimes has two straps or a pot, but always a cauldron, and use it to create antidotes for hypnosis. The psychedelic power of the males is used to immobilize other creatures, and legends say that the females can enchant the minds of breeding pairs to generate more mutant babies, but with a fatal risk... Extended Dossier Common Name: Einiosaurus Species: Einiosaurus angaba Time: Late Cretaceous Diet: Herbivore Temperament: Territorial Wild The Einiosaurus is one of the most fascinating ceratopsids I have ever seen. Smaller than its close relatives, the Triceratops and the Pachyrhinosaurus, this spectacular creature moves in small groups, usually composed of three females and a single male. Individuals of this species exhibit a remarkable adaptation in their frills: a form of mimicry that varies according to sex—males display patterns resembling predators to ward off smaller threats, while females mimic flowers for camouflage, avoiding detection by larger hunters. This adaptation appears to be an ingenious way to survive the hostile and humid ecosystem of Genesis. When an intruder enters their territory, the male dilates the blood vessels in his frill, channeling blood flow at different intensities. This causes the frill to rapidly change color, like a chameleon's skin, thanks to its crystalline scales that reflect natural light at different angles, creating psychedelic patterns that hypnotize and fixate targets. Meanwhile, the females take advantage of the distraction to gore the target with their large, forward-curving nasal horn. During the hypnosis, the male becomes completely vulnerable, unable to move, and the effect dissipates if he begins to starve. If the herd fails to eliminate their target before the end of the trance, they use their impressive speed to flee through dams or dense forests. It is possible to hunt them and obtain their rare horn with medicinal properties through a strategy that involves attacking them with a long-range weapon and hitting the animal's body, as their head is very resistant and they are not as strong as the Trike. Domesticated To gain the trust of this grumpy ornithischian, you will need to challenge it to a duel using a Pachyrhinosaurus and release its chemical cloud, which will pique the Einiosaurus's interest. After dodging several of its lunge attacks, the Einiosaurus becomes stunned and can be fed. Once domesticated, it becomes an exceptional ally. Many survivors use males to hypnotize creatures of various sizes that they wish to easily knock out. With a two-seater saddle that allows both riders to shoot, great speed, and hypnosis that amplifies the torpor effect of tranquilizer darts, males are excellent taming assistants—ideal for helping you build an army of carnivores efficiently. The saddle made by many survivors who survived often has two seats and a cauldron, used to create a strong resistance potion against hypnosis using the horn of another specimen of the species. There are also rumors that a female's hypnosis can multiply the chances of mutations and twins during the breeding of allied creatures, but with a high risk... I have my suspicions that this may be true. Additional Details Sexual Dimorphism: Males have larger nasal horns and frill spikes, yellow eyes, and predator mimicry on their frills. Females have smaller horns and frill spikes, blue eyes, and flower-like camouflage patterns. Gameplay Mobility: A fast creature, only slightly slower than a Utahraptor. It can move sideways and rotate according to the player's camera, similar to the Deinotherium. Primary Attack – Standard Horn Attack Secondary Attack – Heavy Horn Strike with Bleed Effect Tertiary Attack – Hypnosis Ability Male Hypnosis: Paralyzes affected creatures, draining the Einiosaurus's own food, and also increases the amount of torpor received by the creature by 10% for every tranquilizer shot it hits. 25 food per second (small creatures) 50 (medium) 100 (large, up to Rex size) 250 (giant creatures, larger than Rex) When the food reaches zero, the hypnosis ends and cannot be used again until hunger is restored. The Einiosaurus remains immobile while using the ability and has a cooldown of 5 minutes. Ineffective against non-biological entities, ceratopsians, boss battles, and allied tamed creatures. Female Hypnosis: Multiplies the chance of mutations, twins, and triplets by 300% during breeding between allied creatures, but there is a 10% chance of causing brain death to the pair in the process and reduces all Einiosaurus female stats by 10%, with a cooldown of 1 hour on host/solo server and 12 hours on official servers. Ineffective against non-biological entities, ceratopsians, and wild creatures. Both hypnoses have a limited range of 30 meters Jump Button – Hits the ground with its tail, increasing running speed and creating a shockwave that repels small creatures (60-second cooldown, 5-second duration). Passive Abilities Horizontal Eyes: Outlines all creatures in the field of view in white Powerful Mind: Does not die when mind-controlled by a Noglin Ceratopsian Family: Immunity to the hypnotic power of other Einiosaurus Bone Shield: 20% damage reduction from frontal attacks. Predator Repellent (Male): Predators up to Utahraptor size flee upon detecting a male Einiosaurus. Frill Predator Camouflage (Female): Large carnivores like T. rex and Spino cannot detect a female Einiosaurus unless they are attacked. Herd Bonus (Anti-X): When one male and at least one female are together, both gain a 15% resistance bonus against X creatures, increasing by 10% for each additional female (maximum of three). More males or more than three females deducts 10% from the bonus for all individuals. When the bonus reaches its maximum potential, the Einiosaurus's collar, eyes, and protopennas become bioluminescent. Extra Options Hypnotize (Male): When enabled, a male Einiosaurus set to Aggressive or Neutral will hypnotize targets instead of lunging. This also applies when using the attack whistle. Hypnotize (Female): When enabled, a female Einiosaurus will use hypnosis on allied creatures that are mating, but only when the weight is zero. Spawn Spawns in the swamp, near Pachyrhinosaurus spawn zones, but is rarer—always in herds composed of one male and three females. Drops Meat, Prime Meat, Hide, Einiosaurus Curved Horn, and a Shield Skin: Einiosaurus Bone Shield (Predator) and Einiosaurus Bone Shield (Flower). Saddle Unlocked at level 48. 2 Saddles (Male and Female) Male: Two-seater saddle (both riders can use weapons while mounted). The passenger seat can rotate 360 degrees. Female: Has a pot installed in the passenger seat. Both: It is possible to craft a potion in the dinosaur's inventory called "Hypnotic Antidote," made from the Einiosaurus horn. While the potion is crafted, the cauldron located between the driver and passenger seats emanates a blue-green glow. Hypnotic Antidote It is the only antidote to the Einiosaurus's hypnosis and can only be crafted in the Einiosaurus saddle, made from Einiosaurus Curved Horn, Water, a Stimulant, and Honey. It can be used on both the player and any tamed creature, and lasts for 10 minutes. Hypnosis Effect on Players Upon being hit by a male's hypnosis attack, the player perceives the Einiosaurus as a long-horned Carnotaurus that constantly changes color, while females appear as rainbow flowers. The player becomes unable to move but can still attack, dealing half damage. Base Stats Slightly weaker than a Pachyrhinosaurus. Males have higher damage and hunger; females have higher health and weight. Taming Process The duel begins by activating the Pachyrhinosaurus's Rage ability near the target Einiosaurus, both needing to be of the same sex. The Einiosaurus will roar and assume a fighting stance. Each time it swings its head, you will have one second to counterattack with the Pachyrhinosaurus's normal headbutt (timed hits do not deal damage to the Einiosaurus). After three successful counterattacks, it will become stunned—quickly dismount to feed it, then remount to continue the duel. Taming efficiency drops if you miss the timing of your counterattacks (dealing damage), and if your mount is hit three times, you lose the duel and must wait 10 minutes before challenging the same individual again (but you can duel others during that time). Final Notes This creature is an exceptional companion for both battles and taming—males excel at hypnosis-assisted captures, while females boost breeding potential. An excellent choice for survivors in both PvE and PvP. The main objective of the Einiosaurus concept is to bring relevance and importance to the innovations of ceratopsids, a very famous and neglected group of dinosaurs in ARK that became obsolete as the game evolved. Vote for the Einio!
  6. Creature Concept: The Genesis Chameleon - Chromavaris ● ● ● Type: Shoulder Pet Role: Adaptive utility companion Theme: A master of camouflage and biome-specific effects, seamlessly blending into its surroundings and granting buffs based on the biome. Base Abilities ● ● ● Camouflage: Automatically blends into the biome’s environment, reducing aggro range from hostile creatures. Adaptive Skin: Its scales shift colors and textures to match the Genesis biome it’s in. Shoulder Buff: Provides passive biome-specific effects depending on where the survivor is. ● ● New Base Buff: All-Seeing Eyes Description: The Genesis Chameleon constantly scans the surroundings, spotting dangers and hidden resources with its rotating eyes. Effect (always active, regardless of biome): ○ Detection Buff: ○ ■ Highlights nearby hidden threats such as buried Purlovias, approaching Reapers (in lunar), and enemy players in stealth. ■ Slightly increases detection range of hostile dinos (like Raptors or Microraptors preparing to pounce). Resource Vision:○ ■ Small chance to highlight rare resources within range (like hidden metal nodes, silica pearls in ocean, or element shards in lunar). Combat Awareness: ■ When equipped, the survivor gains a slight dodge buff (reduced chance of being stunned or dismounted by surprise attacks like Microraptors, Purlovias, or Thylas). Synergy with Biomes The 360 eyesight buff stacks with biome adaptations : ● ● ● ● ● In Bog , it helps detect swarms/insects earlier. Automatically eats insects that hit player and turns it into cementing paste In Arctic , it spots predators in blizzards through their outlines. In Volcano , it warns of eruptive dangers (like lava meteors) faster. In Ocean , it highlights predators in murky depths. In Lunar , it can detect camouflaged or cloaked creatures (great for PvP and seeker swarms). Biome-Specific Effects 1. Bog Biome ● Appearance: Slimy green-brown camouflage with moss-like frills. ● Effect: Reduces poison and swamp gas damage; decreases swamp native dino aggro range; boosts stamina regen slightly in water. When player or chameleon is attacked, reflect poison damage. 2. Arctic Biome● ● Appearance: White and icy blue scales, frost patterns on its skin. Effect: Provides hypothermia resistance; reduces stamina drain in snowstorms; slow aura that reduces nearby enemies movement speed slightly. 3. Volcanic Biome ● ● Appearance: Black and glowing red-orange cracks across its skin. Effect: Heat resistance; medium immunity to lava splash damage; slight melee damage buff (player and mount) when fighting in extreme heat. 4. Ocean Biome ● ● Appearance: Shimmering blue-green scales with wave-like patterns. Effect: Increases oxygen stat; improves swimming speed; reduces aggro radius of aquatic predators (e.g., sharks, eels), Immune to shocking effects. 5. Lunar Biome ● ● Appearance: Iridescent, glowing scales that flicker like starlight. Effect: Radiation resistance; low gravity movement buff (reduced fall damage, small jump boost); passive element dust generation over time. Special Feature: Adaptive Mimicry ● When thrown off the survivor, the Chameleon can mimic local fauna behavior , briefly distracting or confusing nearby enemies (e.g., looking like a raptor silhouette in bog or glowing like a seeker in lunar). This gives the survivor a short escape window. Taming & Utility● ● Taming Method: Non-violent, requires feeding it biome-specific insects/critters (Bog: leeches, Arctic: fish, Volcanic: sulfur, Ocean: pearls, Lunar: element dust). Utility: Best as a versatile exploration companion; can help counter harsh biome effects without carrying multiple pieces of specialized gear.

Climbing (Space/A/X): Scale vertical terrain with agility. Taunt (Ctrl/LB/LT): Stealth roar for intimidation or aesthetic purposes. Taming Method: Biome-Specific Affinity: Lead it into its preferred biome and feed it biome-specific resources: Volcano: Charred meat, magma stones Bog: Swamp fish, rare fungi Snow: Frozen meat, snow berries Bonus: Taming across multiple biomes grants permanent adaptive resistances.
  8. Cristatusaurus - The Aquatic Acrobat General:- Diet: Fish Temp: Aggressive, quick to lose aggro Habitat: Bog and Ocean Larger than a Baryonyx but smaller than the Allosaurus Likes to be alone or in a mating pair. Loves being around Baryonyx 5 colour regions 0-body, 1-spines, 2-belly, 3-pattern, 4-eyes Dossier:- The Cristatusaurus is a spinosaurid much like its larger cousin the Spinosaurus becomes agitated when in close proximity to Larger or none spinosaurids enjoying its single life or with a partner to share its territory with. When they are agitated they show extreme amounts of aggression often bullying smaller and more defenceless creatures than itself. They love to swim in shallow oceanic waters or swampy bog lands hunting the small fish and sharks that wander too close to its mouth. They are quick to lose interest in those it feels are fleeing its territory knowing there's no point chasing something that doesn't interest it anymore. Often sharing its feeding spots with the smaller and inferior Baryonyx as it sees them as young Cristatusaurus, they have a strong urge to protect the Baryonyx that are around and become agitated if some creature or human gets too close or attempts to hurt the Baryonyx. Attacks:- Land or swimming: Bite to deal a moderate blow Charge into enemies, deflecting up to 30 hits (to balance turrets shots) while ramming Super Swipe at the end of a charge to deal 10% of the enemies max health. Stuns itself and the enemy after the attack and slows the enemy for 30 seconds Spine Shot, tranq/damage/bomb depending whether it eats spoiled/fish/prime fish meat Combat mode (water only): Claw Swipe, much faster than the bite and hits harder. Tail Whip which knocks the enemy back (even the mosa) Tail n Claw combo - if you tail whip then claw swipe, it does a 0.3 second stun but only if done very close together Breaking Swipe, can be done after 8 successful claw hits in combat mode which deals 3% of the enemies max health as damage Spine Shot but damage ones only - shoots from the tail Abilitys:- -Immune to Jellyfish & Eel stun (not the damage) due to thick skin -When hit with an electric attack the Cristatusaurus has a short damage boost lasting only 5 seconds -When a female Cristatusaurus is near baryonyx they will gain a damage resistance and if its a baby, become protective of the baryonyx baby. -When a male Cristatusaurus is close to a baryonyx it will gain increased damage boost and they become territorial. -Gains a 5% damage and resistance boost for every baryonyx close to it (max 4) -Gives these boosts to any nearby baryonyx too and grants them stun immunity -The Cristatusaurus can hunker down when not ridden to heal after it has been damaged to heal and protect itself from death. -Males protect females, ignoring its own battles for the female. -Fish in shallow water catching fish to transfer into nearby feeding throughs -Small chance to get rare loot from fishing -When saddle is wet it gives the Cristatusaurus a hydration buff that increases healing -While the saddle is dry your character becomes heated, often over heating -while the saddle is wet the character is to become cool, often becoming cold Movement:- Mode 1 - Swim Mode Fast sarco-like swimming Strafe to the sides Can charge into an enemy Mode 2 - Aqua Combat Doggy paddle style swimming Turn on the spot Quick side/backward movement Underwater boxing with claws Much slower overall swim speed Mode 3 - Land Mode Slower than the Barry Can charge into creatures Loses its agility but can turn the direction it bites in Taming:- -To tame the female Cristatusaurus you will need to bring a baby barryonyx and help protect the baby barry alongside the female Cristatusaurus to gain the trust before the female lowers its posture to allow you to ride on their back. When you're on the Cristatusaurus will look for you to feed it prime fish meat or superior kibble till it is tamed. -The male Cristatusaurus will be tricker requiring you to kill a female and use the female pheromones what will cause the male to drop its guard enough to allow you to get closer to him you would need to be riding a barryonyx to get closer to the male before the male realises that the female smell is not a Cristatusaurus. You will then need to beat the male Cristatusaurus into submission using the Barry lowering its posture so u can feed it. Negatives:- On land its only useful for its charge Refuses to enter combat mode around same gender Cristatusaurus and takes double damage The Charge 10% damage is nerfed to 5% on bosses, and the breaking swipe is down to 2% If one of its baryonyx friends die then the Cristatusaurus receives a 80% nerf to damage, speed, and attack speed for 30 seconds If the female Cristatusaurus dies then the male will rebel against its owner and lash out at you, dealing triple damage to its own tribe. It loves its girlfriend Sources/credits:- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cristatusaurus Artwork done by my best friend Kitty.
  9. Introducing, the Monarch of Utility, The Swarm Queen! Swarm queens can be found peacefully patrolling the bog biome on Genesis, Part I, hunting for spiders or other bugs to eat. If a survivor tames one of these peaceful royals, they will have gained a companion that serves three (3) primary purposes. 1. Pest Control The swarm queen herself cannot actually attack. She's perfectly harmless. That doesn't mean that she's defenseless. Each queen is constantly surrounded by her swarm: 5 drones that do the work for her. While the drones cannot be controlled directly, the Queen will give them orders when the player uses the primary attack button. The most basic of these is to protect the queen. The drones will relentlessly attack any creatures that come into range of the queen. If a survivor is riding a queen or has one parked close enough, they won't have to worry about small pests at all. Drones will split up and attack separate targets unless there are fewer than 5 targets in range, then they will begin to gang up on the same target. This gives the queen a complete sphere of protection in every direction, making them capable of attacking in every direction regardless of which way they are facing. Alone, the drones are weaker, but still capable of putting down pests like pegomastax, ichthyornis, troodons, titanomyrma, and meganeura with ease. If all 5 drones gang up on the same target, they can do some serious damage, but they will prioritize different targets if more than one is available. (Mechanic: The drones do not have hitboxes and are not physical entities, merely a visual effect that is an extension of the queen, so you don't have to worry about their pathfinding. Aggroed wild creatures will attack the queen since the drones don't actually exist. Drones each deal 20% of the queen's melee damage. As the queen takes damage, she loses drones; She has 5 drones between 80-100% hp, 4 at 60-80%, 3 at 40-60%, 2 at 20-40%, and 1 if under 20% hp.) 2. Passive Farmer While dismounted, survivors can order their queens to build a hive. When given this command, the queens will dig a hole and bury themselves underground. The swam of drones then has a new job: gathering resources. The swarm will harvest any resources within range and bring them back to their queen's hive. (Trees, bushes, rocks, crystals, dead creatures, EVERYTHING) While gathering, the swarm will not attack, so survivors will need to protect their hived queens through some other means. As long as they are protected, survivors can leave their queen in their hive and carry on with other survivor business. Whenever survivors need resources, they can simply access the hive and withdraw anything that the drones have deposited. At any time, survivors can ask their queens to dig themselves out and abandon the hive. (Mechanic: The queen buries herself like a purlovia, disappearing underground. The drones will travel to any resource node within range, harvest it, and return the resources to the hived queen. They will continue to farm resources, even as the nodes disappear and respawn some time later, allowing hives to amass large quantities of resources, given enough time. Drones harvest at the efficiency of primitive metal tools. The advantage is a set-it-and-forget-it style of farming that is inefficient in the short term, but can continue to farm the same resource nodes for as long as you can keep the queen safe. Queens are susceptible to damage while hived, and building proper defenses around them can prevent resource nodes from respawning, so players must be clever. If the queen de-hives, she will leave behind any collected resources in a drop bag with a 30 minute timer. Queens only get a weight reduction and harvest bonus for chitin since they are primarily insectivores. Hived queens may need to be fed rare flowers to keep the swarm farming.) 3. Taming Assistant The final primary use of the Swarm Queen is to assist in taming. Another command that ridden queens can give their swarm is to switch to poisonous, torpor-inducing stings. The range that the swarm will attack shrinks considerably while using torpor stings, so the queen must get much closer to their prey for the drones to attack them. Not only will the swarm help knock out wild creatures, but, if the queen stays close enough to unconscious creatures, the swarm will prevent them from waking up by regularly stinging them to keep their torpor maxed. (Mechanic: A blueprint-crafted crossbow or longneck rifle may deal more torpor in a shorter period of time, but the swarm queen saves on ammo and severs another helpful function, keeping sleeping creatures from waking up.) Other information: Taming Swarm Queens: Wild queens cannot be tamed. Instead, players must bring dead bugs of any variety and feed them to a wild queen. When she has eaten her fill, she will bury herself in a hive. Destroy the defenseless hive and be rewarded with a swarm egg that matches the level and stats of the queen that laid it. Swarm eggs will hatch in the bog without any special conditions. The egg may hatch as male or female, but only females are queens with a drone army. Males can still be ridden and flown, but lack the ability to defend themselves or their rider. Grabbing: Swarm queens cannot attack, but they can carry other creatures. Their carry limit is a drag weight of 210, which gets them everything that an argentavis can carry plus about eight more like the velonasaur, mantis, and bison. Flight: Queens have full directional flight similar to the tapejara. They have the speed of a pteranodon when the swarm is instructed to not attack at all and the speed of an argentavis when the swarm is told to defend or knock-out enemies. Saddle: Queens can be ridden without a saddle, but one is available to craft in order to give them armor protection. (Think equus.) Thank you for reading!
  10. Wild (Dossier): This has to be one of the most creepiest looking Dinosaurs ive seen yet. Saurophaganax Maximus doesn't even look like your typical theropod and looks more like a straight up demon. With its spiky body and fiery eyes, im sure it would give anyone nightmares. But despite its looks it seems to be more friendly towards the larger herbivores than the smaller ones, but im not sure why though. Iver because they rather hunt smaller prey that are easy to kill and won't even fight back. Or maybe it's because it's a picky eater, unlike most of the other carnivores ive encountered on the Arks. So far ive notice that Saurophaganax has an easier time dealing with "X-creatures" than most dinosaurs and usually winning. Domesticated (Dossier): Taming one is no easy task, because of its spike like armor its super hard to penetrate it with arrows or darts. Luckily one crafty survivor came up with a way to knocking one out, by using a Dodo strapped with Poison Grenades all over its body as a sacrifice to the Saurophaganax. Once it eats the poor Dodo it ignites all the grenades and it went to sleep. Then everyone figured this out and started to get their hands on one of these scary looking things. After studying the Saurophaganax I finally figured out how they were able to survive for this long. It's because they seem to be copying abilities from other dinosaurs, almost like a Lyre Bird on steroids. Because of this tribes use it if they only want one dinosaur and want to use it as a dinosaur equivalent to a Swiss Army knife. It's also very handy to any survivor that wants to collect a great amount of Element Dust and Ambergris. Habitat (In Game): Saurophaganax would be a rare creature to find in game, it would basically be as rare to find as a Quetzal (or even a Giga like on the Island map). The reason for this is because of how powerful it might be and also to give players more of a challenge to finding one. The mostly likely spot to find one is at the "Bog" Biome. You may potentially find some in the "Volcanic" Biome as well but its even more rare of a chance to find one out there (not to mention that it's obviously extremely dangerous with the Volcano erupting and all the X-creatures running around). Your best bet is to find one in the Bog. Behavior (In game): It's really aggressive towards survivors and or any small Dinos (like Dodos or Compys). But anything thats as big as a Trike, or even bigger like a Bronto, it will leave it alone and roam around peacefully. But if anything hits the Saurophaganax it will obviously fight back. Also if theres a corpse near by then much like the Argentavis and Meganeura it will agro on to it and eat it (and fight anything thats eating the corpse as well). Taming (In Game): Like its mention in the Dossier you cant use Tranq arrows (or darts) because of its tough skin. The only way to tame a Saurophaganax is by using a small Dino (like a Dodo or a Lystrosaurus for example) and filling its inventory with Poison Grenades as much as you can. Then lure the Saurophaganax to the Dino your going to sacrifice and have it eat it. You will know it worked because it will do a special animation were it grabs and swallows the prey whole. A few seconds later after that happens you will hear a loud boom sound coming from the Saurophaganax and it will start to cough (as green smoke comes out of its mouth). Depending on the level of the Saurophaganax you will have to repeat this method multiple times before it gets knocked out. For example it may take 5 (or 6) Dodos full of Poison Grenades in their inventories in order to knock out a 150 Saurophaganax. The only down side to this is that the grind in order to make all of those Poison Grenades for every single creature you will be sacrificing and it might take awhile until thier inventories are completely full (even if you level up their points into weight). Its preferred food is Extraordinary Kibble. Saddle: The saddle can be learned at level 70. Much like any other saddle in the game it requires hide, fiber, and metal in order to craft it. And it can only be crafted in the smithy. Size: The Saurophaganax is a big apex predator but if your expecting it to be the same size as a Giga (or a Carcharodontosaurs) then your mistaken. In game it would be slightly bigger than an Allosaurus, but smaller than a T-rex. Basically another mid to large size carnivore. Speed: Its faster than a T-rex, but much slower then a Giga, Allo, or even Yuty. Its speed is about on par with iver a Carno or a Raptor. Also like a Yuty it drains a lot of stamina whenever your fighting or sprinting. Attacks: It has three different attacks, each one for different damage and uses. Bite: The Saurophaganax most powerful attack is it bite. For example a level one Saurophaganax can do 70 damage per bite. Head Butt: It dose less damage than its bite but it has a lot more knock back in comparison. A level one can do 46 damage with its head butt. It also dose a lot of damage to X-creatures (but more on that on the "Abilities" section of the submission). Tail Slam: The tail slam is the weakest move it has but still useful. Even though it doesn't do that much damage (a level one will do 30 damage), its a good way to fight any creature thats attacking you from behind. It can also impale Dinos with the tail attack (again more on that in the abilities section of the submission). Abilities: Recoil Damage: Much like the Kentrosaurus (and Arthropluera), whenever the Saurophaganax gets hit by another Dino (or from an enemy Player) it will be hit by small amount of Damage back at the attacker. Impale: Another thing it has in common with the Kentro is that it can Impale creatures with its tail. Using the "Tail Slam" attack will Impale most creatures, but unlike the Kentro it can impale multiple Dinos at once. Imagine it impaling 5 Raptors while they're on the Saurophaganax tail. Also it can impale bigger creatures but only Dinos that are the size of a Parasaur or an Iguanodon. Armor: It's takes half the amount of damage from any creature in the game (similar to a stegosaur when it's in "Harden Plate Mode"). Harvesting Wheel: Just like a Moschops you can level its harvesting on these specific items. Raw Meat Raw Prime Meat Raw Fish Meat Raw Prime Fish Meat Raw Mutton Element Dust Ambergris Weight Reduction: It has a weight reduction on all the resource from the "Harvesting Wheel" (Except for Raw Prime Meat, Raw Prime Fish Meat, and Raw Mutton). Raw Meat 50% Raw Fish Meat 50% Ambergris 80% Element Dust 60% X-Creature Killer: Its "Head Butt" attack dose double the amount of damage to any X-Creature on the map. Doesn't matter if it's a Wild one or a tame one from an enemy tribe, it will still take more damage from the Saurophaganax head butt. (Note that this will also effect any of the Brute or boss like creatures that appear in the missions). Roar: It has a roar (like most large carnivores do), but it dose have some what of an effect that isn't just for show. It can scare away smaller Dinos, (pretty much anything thats smaller then a Carno). Kinda similar to the Parasaur's "Honk" ability. Power Mimics: Depending on the tribute it eats, it will be able to use that creatures abilities for a short period of time. All the effects last for 15 minutes, where as the Giga heart effect last for 3 minutes. It's Basically like how players eat soups and stews in the game. The only tributes it won't eat are Alpha versions, Boss Trophies, and any other tributes that aren't mention on the list. Allosaurus Brains: The highest level Saurophaganax will become the pack leader. Also much like the Direwolf and Raptor it can trigger the others to roar as well to get the pack buff (but you obviously need more than one Saurophaganax and they also need to consume Allo Brians too). Argentavis Talons: Able to "Rapidly Regenerate" from eating corpses and have a 50% weight reduction on almost every item in the game (think of it as like a larger Sinomacrops). Basilosaurus Blubber: Gives the rider an insulation buff and automatically generates oil. But unlike the Basilo (or even the Tuso) its much faster and it requires fish meat in its inventory in order to produce the oil. Megalania Toxin: Immune to any stamina draining de-buff and gives wild Dinos and enemy tribes Rabies when using the bite. Megalodon Tooth: Allows the "Head Butt Attack" to do a bleed effect now and able to find Wounded Dinos like the Direwolf's ability. Sauropod Vertebra: Dose 20% more damage with the "Tail Slam" attack, and takes 30% less damage from Cannon Balls, Ballista Turrets, Rocket Launchers, and any other explosive weapons. Sarco Skins: Swims 30% faster in the water and regains stamina twice as fast (keep in mind that doesn't matter if its in the water or not, it can still regain stamina much quicker than normal). Spino Sail: Gains the "Hydration" buff and takes 20% less damage from water or amphibious creatures. Titanoboa Venom: Immune to any torpor effects. Granted I know some of you are thinking that "I thought it was already immune to torpor"? While yes that is true but with the Titanoboa Venom it won't get any type of torpor at all (including when it loses stamina). Also it will inflict torpor with its bite. T-Rex Arms: Gives the Saurophaganax 20% damage for its bite attack. And gains the ability to make non-allie players (or dinos) poop and be stun briefly when using the roar. Yuty Lungs: Can use both the "Courage" and "Fear" roars like the Yuty can when the Saurophaganax uses its normal roar. Granted it can already scare away small creatures with its normal roar (without eating the Yuty Lungs) but with this buff on it can scare away even bigger creatures much like a regular Yuty (basically anything bigger than a Rex or Spino will have no effect). You can also buff a certain group of Dinos and have them briefly on your side. But instead of wild Carnos, it's wild Allosaurs. Fire Talon: Immune to any fire or flame attacks. And with its Bite attack it will light any player (or creature) on fire. Lighting Talon: Immune to any electric attacks (including the Eel and Cnidaria stuns). And when it bites it will shock and stun its enemies (much like the Jellyfish). Poison Talon: Protects the rider from Poison Wyvern and Basilisk poison attacks. While also giving enemies the "Gas Burts" effect when using the bite attack. Rock Drake Feather: Able to camouflage and be immune to Radiation when it consumes the feather. (Also to become invisible like the Rock Dark you would just simply press the same button you used for the roar. And no it doesn't roar evey time you turn on or off the camouflage ability, in fact when it consume the Rock Drake feather it wont be able to roar at all. At least not until the effect wears off) Ambergris: Can replenish its health by a 100 points with each piece of Ambergris. Much like what Nameless Venom dose for Rock Drakes. Gasbags Bladder: When using the roar it will blow other Dinos super far (much like the Gasbag) and also giving players the "Gassed" effect. Giga Heart: This is the Saurophaganax favorite food, giving it a Giga heart is like giving Popeye his spinach. Because when it has this effect on it almost because unstoppable. It will have 50% damage, 40% stamina recovery, 40% health regeneration, 40% movement speed, and 30% damage reduction from anything. Weaknesses: Penetrating The Armor: Any creature that can bypass the Saurophaganax spiky armor can do decent amount of damage to it. Whether it's the Arthropluera's acidic spit, the Reaper's Acid cloud, or even the Amargasaurus armor spike debuff (I know the Amargasaurus isn't in the game yet, but still this is just in case when it does finally get added into the game and if players want to transfer thier Saurophaganax over to the "Lost Island" map when it releases). Tribute Timer: There's a 60 second cool down before being able to use any tribute items again (whether its the same tribute item as before or a different one, you will have to wait 60 seconds each time). Also you cannot make the Saurophaganax eat multiple tributes at the same time, basically you cant make it stack each buff like how players do with the stews or soups. Anything Element: It takes 20% more damage from any element related attacks. From Tek rifles, to Tek Saddles, or even from Tek Grenades. Possible X-Variant??? Im not so sure if Wildcard is gonna allow people to include X-versions of their submitted creatures or not (at least I didn't see that being apart of the rules or guidelines anyway). Also to be fair back when Genesis: Part 1 first came out for Evolved they had both normal and X-variants of some of the dinsoaur in the map (like the Anklosaurus and Raptors for example), it wouldn't surprise me if they did it again for Ascended as well. But if having an X-version of your submitted dino is completely fine than this is what the X-variant of the Saurophaganax would look like. Also keep in mind that this version of the Saurophaganax will be the one that spawns at the Vocanic biome like how I mentioned it earlier in the "Habitat" section of this submission, which also means that this version will be rare to find in game. Inspiration: My inspiration for the Saurophaganax came from a hand full of different creatures (both in real life and fictional). In terms of the design I based it of the Allosaurus from "Jurassic World: Dominion" and "Battle at Big Rock", but bulkier, more demon like, and with spikes/armor of an "Armadillo lizard" (and the eyes of the 1998 Godzilla from the Poster). But in terms of its powers and abilities it mostly came from the "Lyre Bird" which can actually copy the sounds of any other animal or anything in general (like a chainsaw!). Also I wanted to use the Saurophaganax as another way to use tributes then just for summoning bosses. Hope you guys like my idea and consider giving it a vote.
  11. Paleoart reconstruction by: TheDinosaurMann Source: DeviantArt (DISCLAIMER) In Genesis: Part 1, the newly introduced creatures, like the Ferox or Astrocetus for example, have no dossiers. So, the Kunpengopterus will not have one in this submission. I don’t know if they will do it for the community winner creature for this map as an exception or do something similar like HLN-A’s description of the Genesis: Part 2 creatures for the winner. ___________________________________________________________________ (Behavior) Kunpengopterus is a small pterosaur, roughly the same size as the Sinomacrops. It’s nickname, “Monkeydactyl”, is due to the fact it has opposable thumbs, which it uses in a most bizarre way, even against survivors! If available, they can latch onto trees that can be chopped down, like the Archaeopteryx to the joshua trees in Scorched Earth. They are, however, incredibly skittish and will flutter away when a survivor gets near, and their startle radius is 20% wider than an Archaeopteryx’s. When startled, they will fly far away like a Tapajara, but with slightly more speed. Occasionally, however, if you have a certain weapon, item, or ammunition on you and enter their trigger radius, Kunpengos may come straight towards and follow you for ten to thirty seconds. Once they’re done, they will fly away as they will when startled by you. They may stop following if you move far away enough. Damaging them causes them to flee right away. Be careful though, because when a Kunpengo starts to follow you, it’s actually chasing you. It’s essentially like an Ichthyornis or Pegomastax. When they reach you, they may take said certain weapons, item, or ammo away from your inventory or hotbar and it will actually use it against you for a brief few seconds, and it’s incredibly accurate in its aim! At that point, attacking it won’t drive it away until after a few seconds, if the item breaks or ammunition runs out, or you move far enough from it. They will even steal from your tamed creatures if they have any of the compatible items in their inventory, except for the biggest and smallest of tames. So, be wary of that. Thankfully, they won’t open storage containers to steal from them. Hitting them after they’ve grabbed something from you will just be enough for them to drop that item and fly away. They will not take anything from item caches, so you won’t have to worry about them coming back for whatever they’ve dropped on the ground. Kunpengopterus family artwork as an example by: Olmagon Source: DeviantArt Kunpengopterus can also spawn with one or two babies perched on their torsos. They will stay onto their parents no matter what happens, even when attacked. Killing the adult Kunpengo will result in the deaths of all the babies too. Kunpengopterus is found in three of the five biomes of Genesis: Part 1. They are the following: 1. Bog 2. Volcanic 3. Ocean While generally being very uncommon spawns, meaning you won’t see them too often, you are more likely to find these pterosaurs in the Bog and Volcanic biomes, while they are rarer in the Ocean biome’s rock pillar formations in comparison. ___________________________________________________________________ (Taming) To tame a Kunpengopterus, one must use its item stealing behavior to their advantage. Wild individuals are immune to torpor, so you have to tame them passively. Use the pterosaur’s tool/weapon pickpocketing ability to your advantage with the right set of foods, and at least one compatible item they can snatch from you, in your inventory and/or hotbar. 15 Chitin 10 Raw Fish 5 Giant Bee Honey 10 Cooked Meat Jerky The bigger, heavier, rarer, and/or powerful the item/tool/weapon is, the higher the taming meter will increase. If you have two or more compatible items on you, it will randomly choose which item from you, so it may not always grab what you hope it should. Ex: An Assault Rifle will give more taming points than a Pistol. You must have all this stuff in your inventory and/or hotbar. They will still take them no matter where you have any of them placed on you. Once you have all these foods and at least one compatible item they can go for on you, enter their radius to where they will be startled by you to begin. BUT you always have to be off a creature mount for it to work, and not even the foods or items that they can grab in your creature’s inventory will work. After a Kunpengopterus has taken all the specific amounts foods listed above from you in one go, and a compatible item/tool/weapon at the same exact time, it will passively fly away as the taming process commences. They won’t attack you when they have the item taken from you as the foods they take and eat makes them passive instantly, until you make it do it again. Do this again and again until it’s fully tamed. Just don’t get too close when you follow them, because they will continue flying away from you if you do, like most shy animals in-game do. You can retrieve your stolen items from the Kupengo’s inventory once fully tamed. It might end up being encumbered as well if full of heavy weapons. A tamed Kunpengopterus will eat meats and chitin, so it’s a hybrid diet of the pterosaurs Dimorphodon and Sinomacrops. Any successfully tamed Kunpengos with babies will instantaneously claim and tame the babies as well. Baby Kungengopterus can be manually detached off of or attached onto tamed or allied adult Kunpengos. ___________________________________________________________________ (Utility and Abilities) Bite and slash attack: Its basic attack(s) are biting and slashing with its clawed wings while in flight. These are two different attack animations that will rotate randomly, but otherwise do the same amount of damage. Shoulder Pet: Kunpengopterus is a shoulder pet. That means it can be perched on your right shoulder. Pickpocketer: Like the Ichthyornis and Pegomastx, you can manually set Kunpengos to steal inventory from other survivors and their tames. Weapon/item/tool user: This pterosaur can wield certain handheld objects in its opposable thumbed hands and can even use them itself! It can either assist you in combat or (only if it’s on your shoulder) harvest resources you hit. It can even throw certain types of ammunition with their bare hands should it be in their inventory. Weapons/tools: Electric Prod Spear (inc. flaming) – [only throws the spears, and not melee with them] Wooden Club Bola Torch Sword (inc. Tek) Assault Rifle Tek Phase Pistol Tek Rifle Chainsaw – [not available on the map by default, but is available on certain missions] Pistol (inc. Fabricated) Hatchet (both Stone and Metal) Pick (both Stone and Metal) Metal Sickle Tek Claws Ammunition: Stone Grenade (All types) Arrows (All types) Darts (All types) Net Projectile Plant Species Z Fruit Notes: While it’s on your shoulder, you can manually set the Kunpengopterus to use its wielding weapons/tools to either attack or harvest. For instance, if you’re under attack, it will shoot or swing its items at the attacker. It can even shoot (more accurately, throw) back while it’s not equipped with range weapons if you have the listed ammunition in its inventory. Or, while you’re harvesting a resource by hand, it can assist with the correct tools it may have. When armed with rage weapons or ammo, it can be manually set to stay at a safe distance to aim and shoot at targets. If armed with melee weapons or harvesting tools, it will not attack with its bites and will always use the claw attack animation to use whatever it is wielding until those items break. “Crafting assistant” buff and effects: When a Kunpengopterus is perched on your shoulder, you will be given the “Crafting assistant” buff, which gives crafted items the chance to be of higher quality than normal. Notes: The items that this will affect are the same exact stuff that can be of higher quality by other means throughout the game: Weapons, Tools, Armor, Shields, and Saddles. This will affect items crafted in your inventory and at a respective crafting station (except the Exo-Mek of GEN2) while the Kunpengo is on you. Items will have a higher chance of getting a rare quality boost, while a lower chance to get an even better rare quality, especially when you craft higher tier items. o Example 1: Cloth Armor pieces have a 60% chance to get an Apprentice quality, but a 30% chance to get a Mastercraft quality. o Example 2: Tek Weapons have a 40% chance in getting a Journeyman quality, but a 10% chance to get an Ascendant quality. The Kunpengopterus will play a brief “crafting” animation when you start crafting something while it’s on your shoulder. Kunpengo Tek Shield Armor: Because it’s a frail creature due to its small size, it can be equipped with a special kind of Tek armor that is equipped with a small Tek Shield attachment that creates an orb made of hexagons around it. (A rough sketch I made myself of the Tek shield. Original base image from shutterstock.com) Notes: You can activate via an item called the “Tek Shield Remote”. The “Tek Shield Remote” can be set to activate specific or all your tamed Kungpengos with the armor equipped. Like most other Tek tier stuff, the shield powered by Element. The shield is vulnerable to heavy damage inducing attacks like a Magmasaur’s fireball, or a survivor using explosives at it, due to its small size, but it is pretty durable to lots of other attacks and hazards that aren’t too high in damage inputs. When a shield’s durability drains out from damage inputs, it can be reactivated, again as long as there is still element to power it, and when the armor piece itself still has enough durability. The durability of the armor piece and the activated shield are separated from each other. You can track the Kunpengo’s shield when you have the Tek Shield Remote in hand, in which a HUD will appear on one side of your screen. That way, you can always tell how much element and duration is left and whether it’s on or off. Emoting: When a Kunpengo is on your shoulder and you emote, it will emote with you! This is purely cosmetic. Not all emotes will have a respective emote animation each, however. Example: When you cheer, it will give a thumbs up (👍). If you laugh, it will laugh too. If you nod “No”, it will nod “No” as well. Harvest resource increase effect: Whatever you manually harvest while a Kunpengo is on your shoulder, and its set to harvest with the same exact tools both you and it are wielding, each amount of a specific resource you collect per hit will have a 45% chance to be the same with the Kunpengo in its inventory. ___________________________________________________________________ (Real-life references) Kunpengopterus is a small genus of pterosaur from the Jurassic period and discovered in what is now China. There are two described species of Kunpengopterus: sinensis and antipollicatus. K.antipollicatus was described in 2021 publications, and was found to have opposable thumbs on its winged hands - a first find in all pterosaur research history. This particular species is exactly what this submission is based on. Feedback, and even a vote up, is always appreciated! In the meantime, I would like to share this short, animated video by DJ Crumrine about this bizarre pterosaur.
  12. From islands floating in calm oceans to cold regions with raging blizzards, Fukuivenators live in numerous biomes within the simulation. This basal Therizinosaur uses a variety of feathers to confuse its prey and bravely confront even powerful opponents. If you encounter a Fukuivenator, quickly make way so as not to incur its wrath; else be torn to pieces by its claws! Common Name:Fukuivenator Species:Fukuivenator Plumaecoloratae Time:Early Cretaceous Diet:Omnivorous, preferring meat Temperament:Aggressive Wild Fukuivenators are found mainly in Bog, Arctic, and Ocean biomes. Like Yutyrannus, they are covered in feathers and are very fluffy! These feathers are highly hydrophobic, making them suited for underwater activities. They are the same stature as Therizinosaurs, but can move faster. Although still dangerous, Fukuivenators are not as aggressive as other carnivores. However, they can attack from a greater distance than Therizinosaurs, rendering them a more ranged threat. By equipping Ghillie Armor, you can approach them unnoticed, although touching their body will still alert them to your presence. They are often attacked by Rex, Spino, and Yutyrannus, but with their sharp claws and fangs, as well as the ability to nullify the roar of Yutyrannus and instead be buffed by it, they can put up a good fight. Additionally, Fukuivenator has feathers that have different effects depending on the environment it lives in: in bog biomes, it has toxic feathers that tire out its prey, in arctic biomes it has frost feathers that slow down its opponents' movements, and in ocean biomes it has salt-rich feathers that slow down the healing of its opponents' wounds. Using these multitude feathers to its advantage, it will bring its prey down. Taming A Fukuivenator can be tamed by knocking it unconscious. However, their heavy coat of feathers reduces the damage caused by bullets and explosives, and nullifies the effect of Tranq Arrows and Tranquilizer Darts. Clubs and boomerangs are effective, but attacking blindly and incurring their wrath is not recommended. The safest way to put them into a coma is to hand them Narcoberries, Ascerbic Mushrooms, or Spoiled Meat. However, they usually refuse to accept these items. First, give them regular Berries, Mushrooms, or Raw Meat. As long as they're eating the items you've given them, they will accept Narcoberries, Ascerbic Mushrooms, or Spoiled Meat. Repeating this process will put them into a coma. However, if you don't feed them the corresponding torpor-inducing item, (ex. Narcoberries if you've given them Berries) they'll notice something's wrong and start to become violent. Feeding them Narcotics and Biotoxin during this state will have the same effect. Additionally, by fighting them with a Metal Sword or Metal Sickle, you can shear their feathers and make them vulnerable to Tranq Arrows and Tranquilizer Darts for 60 seconds. Additionally, the wind pressure from a Rex or Yutyrannus' roar can negate the effects of their feathers for 40 seconds, and if you manage to damage their feathers during that time, their vulnerability to Tranq Ammo will increase to 120 seconds! While asleep, they will eat both Berries and Raw Meat, but prefer Raw Meat. Their favorite food is Exceptional Kibble. Tamed Base Stats Health: 890 Stamina: 320 Oxygen: 650 Food: 2700 Weight: 325 Melee Damage: 57 Fukuivenator can be mounted by attaching a saddle. While Therizinosaurs are suited for foraging, a Fukuivenator is more adept in combat. The feathers on their backs can grant some cold resistance to their riders; furthermore, although they require regular oxygen supplementation, they can also swim freely through the water! Left Click : Scratching Damage is higher than that of the Therizinosaur. All effects inflicted by the feathers last for 40 seconds, apart from bleeding and radiation. It can be used on grass to gather fiber, but not berries. Right Click : Charge Scratch Deals higher damage than left click and can bleed like the Allosaurus leader, but it cannot slow the enemy. All effects granted by the feathers last for 60 seconds, except for bleeding and radiation. Can be used every 10s. Space : Bite Can be used to collect Thatches, Hids, Berries, and Pelts. Additionally, this reduces the defense of the person you bite by 20%. This effect lasts for 30 seconds and cannot be overwritten. C : Roar Raises the morale of allies in the vicinity, and increases their damage and attack speed for 80 seconds. In addition, the ally will be able to nullify all status effects for 30 seconds. Can be used every 20s. X : Groom Grooming allows you to rapidly recover health for 20 seconds, similar to Argentavis. You will also receive feathers in your inventory, which can be used as a substitute for pelts, polymers, and fiber. Each feather you have will also grant different effects to your left-click and right-click attacks. These effects last for 120 seconds, and grooming can be used every 50s. Passive Like in the wild, Fukuivenator reduces the damage caused by bullets and explosives, as well nullifying the effects of Tranq Arrows and Tranquilizer Dart. Additionally, you can activate a state from the radial menu that allows you to reduce damage taken by having Hides, Pelts, or their Feathers in your inventory, consuming one per damage taken. Hides reduce damage by 10%, Pelts 20%, and Feathers 30%. Feathers are consumed first, and Hides are consumed last. This damage reduction applies to bullets and explosives, but not to poison or bleeding. Additionally, depending on the environment in which their feathers were harvested, the effects they can impart to left-click and right-click attacks vary. * Feathers harvested in bog biomes can inflict poison, draining stamina. * Feathers harvested in volcanic biomes can set enemies on fire and cause additional DoT. * Feathers harvested in arctic biomes slow down opponents with their cold. * Feathers harvested in ocean biomes are rich in salt, slowing wound healing and increasing the bleeding effect by 10 seconds. Left-click attacks can also inflict bleeding for 10 seconds, similar to right-click attacks. * Feathers harvested in lunar biomes can inflict radiation for an incredible 20 seconds with left-click attacks and 30 seconds with right-click attacks. You can select the effects you will inflict when grooming from the radial menu. While the duration of each effect cannot be extended, they can be stacked. Work together with your allies to inflict different effects and torment your opponents! Also, as in the wild, they will nullify a Yutyrannus’ roar and be granted the same effect as a roar from an ally Yutyrannus. On a Fukuivenator, you have nothing to fear.
