Shantungosaurus Giganteus: The travelling fortress
KrishRox101 posted a suggestion in Creature Submissions
Shantungosaurus: Are you tired of slow walking sauropods like the titanosaur or bronto holding your mobile base? Do you want to plough through vegetation like nothing, waddle through water with your base, all while also decimating threats? Look no further than the shantungosaurus! This magnificent beast is of the hadrosaur family and comes from the late cretaceous and grew to a stunning height of 6 meters and reached lengths of 16.6 meters weighing 16 tonnes, that’s the weight of 21 cows! They were also THE largest non-sauropod land creature to ever exist. Their size helped them ward off even the largest threats as near nothing matched its immense size and weight. When provoked they stood on their hind legs and ran surprisingly fast for their body structure. In the wild: In tall forest and jungles, the shantungosaurus can be seen grazing in small herds along with their young, chowing down on berries. The shant takes great care in their young protecting them at all costs. When it sees a carnivore around which could endanger its children, the Shant receives a rivalry buff similar to the trike and goes from passive to territorial, attacking carnivores if they get too close. When attacking they stand on their hind legs delivering decimating stomps and tail swipes using their tail, throwing them back only to charge at them dealing more damage. Taming: When taming its general idea to separate the target tame from the herd or massacre the rest leaving the target alone. The shant itself has thick skin making it hard for most projectiles to pierce dealing massively reduced damage, with one exception, the Ballista turret! Once the bolt is coated with narcotics, the tranq bolt becomes the perfect shant tamer. To most other dinos it will deal a lot more damage than torpor but due to the shants thick skin it deals less damage and so more torpor. However, the shant will only gain torpor when shot in the stomach or underside which is easier to shoot while it is on its hind legs, about to attack leaving only a small window to shoot. The shant will continue attacking both the player and the ballista until it reaches a high enough torpor at which it will run, in situations like this, traps or barriers are very helpful. Once knocked out you will not need you to feed it, simply equip a saddle and there you have your shant. Domesticated: The Shant is an enormous beast rivalling the size of even the giga! With its immense size it harbors a great amount of health and weight also having a 15% overall damage reduction and 40% against projectiles. Its massive muscular tail is used to throw enemies, how far they are thrown is dependent on their drag weight where the less drag weight they have the further they are thrown. The Shant has 2 modes or stances, with different attack sets, Quadruped stance, and Biped stance. The quadruped stance is its default stance withal 4 legs on the ground. The Biped stance increases speed, damage output and attack efficiency i.e., tail swipe throws further, at the cost of higher stamina use. As the shant takes damage and its health drops it damage increases proportionally maxing out at 20% health gaining 2x damage. The shant, having massive muscular legs can carry a enormous amount of weight, giving you the option to equip a platform saddle (190 structure limit, also disables bipedal stance), all while being able to travel at half decent speeds. if you don’t want to sacrifice the bipedal stance and turn the shant into an absolute war beast, you can opt for the tek saddle variant which has multiple turrets and slightly reduces stamina use when attacking and traveling. If there is ever any trees or vegetation in the way, simply sprint into them to send them falling. Abilities summary (tamed): · Immense health plus damage reduction · Extra projectile damage reduction · Throwing tail swipe (based on drag weight) · Quadrupedal / Bipedal stance (no platform saddle) · Extra damage the lower the health · Large platform saddle · War tek saddle · Water wading/travel Attacks: Change stance : left ctrl Quadrupedal Stance: 1) Left click = Headbutt: a standard attack that does decent damage and slight knockback. Collects thatch and berries. 2) Right click = Tail swipe: a powerful attack that knocks its opponents far (based on drag weight) 3) Hold Right click = Charge: a short burst of speed that would charge toward a target stunning the target on impact, (with delay to separate tail swipe and charge) 4) C = roar: a loud bellowing call, purely aesthetic 5) X = stomp: a slightly heavier hitting attack that has no knockback. Collects wood and berries in a radius around the dino. Bipedal Stance: 1) Left click = Claw swipe: a standard attack that does good damage with no knockback. Collects thatch and berries. 2) Right click = Tail swipe: a powerful attack that knocks its opponents far (based on drag weight) 3) Hold Right click = Charge: a short burst of speed that would charge toward a target stunning the target on impact, (with delay to separate tail swipe and charge) 4) C = roar: a loud bellowing, purely aesthetic 5) X = Tail Slam: an extremely powerful attack that breaks opponents’ bones and stuns for a short period of time, it sets the dino back to quadruped stance and has a large cooldown, Sorry for no artwork, but here are some images of the shant itself!- 1 reply

crocodile Brachiosuchus kebabishensis: The buff croc!
Slimer87 posted a suggestion in Creature submission archive
Hey survivors! This is Slimer87_'s (me) idea for the Brachiosuchus! Enjoy! Olá sobreviventes! Essa é a ideia do Slimer87_ (eu) para o Brachiosuchus! Aproveite! Original post's name (in case this turns into a replie): Brachiosuchus kebabishensis: The buff croc! Species introduction: Brachiosuchus kebabishensis is a species of the genus Brachiosuchus (its the only species of the genus). It is a crocodyloform from the late Cretaceous period of the Mesozoic era. It was discovered in 2012 in the Kababish Formation of Sudan(where kebabishensis comes from). (Image taken from Wikipedia, by the Paleoartist Armin_Reindl at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brachiosuchus#/media/File:Brachiosuchus.jpg) In ARK: Survival Ascended: (Goofy Brachiosuchus Dossier Sketch that I just made: Slimer87_) What will Brachiosuchus eat? R: At the wild it eats anything that moves just like other carnivores in ARK (at least I think its gonna be like that at Ascended), but when tamed it can eat cooked and raw: Fish, Prime fish, Meat, Prime meat and just lemons (not a joke, its because lemons are great fruits with vitamin C, eat your fruits kids!), it's favorite kibble can be either Superior kibble or medium kibble. Why is it perfect for the center? R: Because The Center has lots and lots of bodies of water that the Brachiosuchus can swim and spawn at. What with it's saddle? R: Brachiosuchus doesn't have any saddles, its a naturally very resistent and armored creature that doesn't go down easily, that's why it doesnt need a saddle. What's up with those dilos at the Croc's arm? R: Brachiosuchus "special ability" is switching from quadruped to biped (standing up), but unlike the iguanodon it still runs fast even while upright, while standing up the croc can't swin well, but can hold creatures with it's long and strong arms(terciary for standing up and secondary while up to grab dinos), while holding creatures that aren't near their full weight Brachiosuchus will ignore the creature's weight while carrying it, but weight buffs such as the castoroids will be ignored by the long armed crocodile. When the carried dino is heavy or at full weight brachiosuchus will have a weight discount of 2x at the creatures inventory. The quantity of dinos carried by Brachiosuchus can change for each creature, while it can carry up to three dilophosaurs, it can only carry one doedicurus. Speaking of abilities, what are the croc's abilities? R: Good question! While in quadruped stance (laying down) Brachiosuchus will bite with primary attack (generally left mouse click), claw/slap/punch creatures with it's arms with secondary attack (generally right mouse click), for its terciary (generally C) it will change between quadrupedal stance and bipedal stance. While in bipedal stance Brachiosuchus will grab creatures with primary attack, yeet/let go of creatures with secondary, change from bipedal stance to quadrupedal stance. While at bipedal stance, Brachiosuchus will intimidate any small (not smaller) dinos away (at least 20m radius). When changing from bipedal to quadrupedal or when entering water my boy brachiocroc will just come back to quadrupedal stance and carry the holding dinos with it's mouth like crocs carry their babies, but thats only for small dinos, certain bigger dinos will continue to be carried with brachio's arms, but it will affect swim speed. How will it be tamed? R: I was originally thinking of just darting it, but that wouldn't be fun would it? So to tame one long armed boy you will need: A dino that is close in size or bigger than the brachiosuchus that is the same level or higher than the brachiosuchus, the dino should be neutral or agressive, all you need next is to make the brachiosuchus and the dino fight! If your dino wins Brachiosuchus has a 60% chance of laying tranqued at the ground and your dino will stop beating it, and a 39% chance of it running away, and a trolling 1% chance of the croc just dying. If the croc wins, your dino will obviously die and brachiosuchus will sprint for you while standing up (you probably won't tank the hits)! (and will only progress the taming bar a little). For taming Brachiosuchus you can also give it baby kaprosuchus or sarcosuchus (the first method is better). In case of you knocking down the Brachiosuchus will tranq darts/arrows or by just beating it with your club/bare hands it won't tame, the brachiosuchus will only be able to pray that any kapros or sarcos won't see it! Anything more? R: This is the rest that I can think of (lol): Brachiosuchus has a lot of health and weight naturally, also armor, that makes it not sleep easily. When shooting at dinos that are being carried the damage and torpor will be passed on to the brachiosuchus, so you can't just lock dinos to tame them, but you can carry them to nearby traps! The size of the dinos that brachiosuchus can carry is every dino that is smaller than it while standing up! It will have a preference of going after kaprosuchus and sarcosuchus, because they hate each other, same for kaprosuchus (they will preffer the crocs over the player and the crocs will preffer the brachio over the player too)! (Also made by me, the background I found on father Google: By Slimer87_) I'm open for any replies or art to help people understand the greatness of the concept of the giga croc! (Sorry if my english is bad, I'm brazilian) (Also sorry if I said "Brachiosuchus" so many times lol) I can translate it to portuguese or spanish if anyone wants it to send to friends or whatever! Thanks for reading it all! (it sure was a lot) Slimer87_ out!-

Plateosaur - Climbing Bipedal Radiation Immune Destroyer!
AItype posted a suggestion in Creature submission archive
I introduce to you, Plateosaur! The Climbing Bipedal Radiation Immune Destroyer! WILD: Plateosaur is a herbivore around the size of Therezinosaur, found near lush forests of aberration. He is a neutral herbivore, looking to eat mushrooms. Though he looks friendly, Plateosaur can fight apex predators of Aberration, claws on the front legs, whipin' tail, the teeth make Plateosaur a good fighter, able to defend himself from largest of threats. Though they walk alone in this dangerous environment, it makes him an easy prey for predators hunting in big hordes. In this case, he can climb the Aberration cave, not high, but enough for saving a life. TAMING: Like most of the creatures on the Ark, Plateosaur is a knock out tame. Survivors find the best strategy just to shoot at him, they are not very fast even on four legs, so the fastest of survivors can easily run away, the hard part begins when he is high on torpor, then Plateosaur runs away to big cliffs, and starts to climb. Not fast, but survivor needs to react fast, or Plateosaur will just hide beneath the big Rocks. When unconscious, feed him mushrooms, and he is yours! DOMESTICATED: In this hard environment, with radiation all around, it's hard to find a creature with immunity, however, Plateosaur can find it. Feeding it 1 mushroom, Plateosaur will gain protection for 60 seconds, discluding all the other effects from them. (NOTICE: The effect is stackable only 2 times). In this hard environment, Plateosaur gained a 2x damage to the Apex predators, such as Megalosaur, Rock Drake, Reapers and Basilisks, which makes Plateosaur a best tame for surviovors in the new mysterious world.... ABILITIES: Left click: Attack (on four legs with his teeth, on two with claws on front legs) Right click: Bipedal change (from 2 legs to 4, and from 4 legs to 2) C click: Tail whip (like bronto) ctrl cilck: climbing (if near a wall) NOTES FROM AUTOR: So, on four legs he is higher speed (which also means faster climbing), and ability to gather thatch adn mushrooms, on two legs he is slower, but higher damage, and an ability to harvest wood. Attacks from two legs also cause bleeding on creatures and people. About climbing: His climbing is similar to Megalanias, but way slower, though he drains stamina slower. Also u can use weapons from there. Radiation: The radiation immunity doesn't affect riders. Plateosaur saddle is available on 39 lvl, crafted from 200 Hide, 325 Fiber, 30 Metal and 20 green gems- 6 replies

Babibasiliscus - The item collecting Speedboat of ARK
Actionskank posted a suggestion in Creature submission archive
Welcome to my reworked creature submission. (Original submission will be removed based on rule issues.) Note: This is mainly a place holder to guage the interest of the submission, with artwork and additional info being added depending on engagement. Babibasiliscus are the ancestors of today's Jesus Christ lizard thats adorned with it's large iconic headcrest. A creature that prefers life near sources of water where it can pick up smaller creatures and vegetation to eat in the safety of its own domain but at the first sign of danger, will rapidly run across bodies of water where predators will have a hard time chasing them down. Habitat: Wild Babibasiliscus are omnivorous and prefer quiet bodies of water with plenty of fish, small creatures and or vegetation and can be seen frequently going back and forth, collecting it's meal to eat in peace or feed it's mate. Taming: A tame which has different methods for both sexes. Males - You would first have to sneak up and find out it's craving food, once fed and the lizards trust has been gained it will follow you around and require you to kill and leave carcasses for it to eat, any large creatures, damage, or lack of things to eat will scare the creature away and lower taming affectiveness. Females - Generally found nesting and looking for mates, and are always looking for the flashiest of creatures to pair up with. As such, a collection of dyes will be needed to tame them. On a slow approach to a female they will raise their head to guage the survivors intentions and ask for a colour, on knowing the colour, you need to quickly paint a piece of your armor to that colour to appease her, extra taming affinity is determined by tech progression of your equipped gear (Cloth lowest, Tek highest. I.e. the Shinier the better!) Using the wrong colour, applying too late or being scared off will lower taming affinity. Tamed: The lizard is comfortable living in all biomes and has very little offensive capabilities but more than makes up for it with its speed and agility to get out of bad situations or in a pinch it relies on the player to pick off enemies from its back with a stabilized roller saddle that allows the player to look and attack from every angle whilst mounted. Abilities: (Although none are guaranteed it will make it to game.) Bi/Quadrupedal - Quad for brisk land cruising Bi for running from danger Radiation immune - Being found in the three main areas of Aberration the lizard has become adapted to the harsh conditions of the red zone without fear of radiation damage. (Can still be damaged being submerged in liquid element.) Water runner/swimmer - The lizards iconic feature, being able to run bipedal over water and liquid element at high speed, gaining a buff like spinos from water sources which can also be taken to land. It is also a decent swimmer thanks to its large paddle tail. Item collector - With its natural instinct of grabbing and relocating it's food to safer areas, the lizard is able to pick up single static items such as eggs, dead bodies, bags, dropped items, artifacts (Able to hold a second artifact.) and loot drops to different locations so a survivor can collect said items in much safer areas. Tic tac - An ability that allows the lizard to jump from one surface to another in order to reach places it normally couldn't. (I originally wanted a climbing creature but didn't want to overshadow the Rockdrakes so a parkour style wall to wall jump is what I ultimately decided on.) I hope you like the ideas in my submission although I understand that my vision for the creature may not be for everybody. I'm always open to critique and constructive criticism, so if you see something that you think would work better or better fitting, then please let me know in the comments. (Artwork will follow if this submission picks up enough interest.)- 1 reply
