Introducing Coelophysis, Pet Assassin and Mutation Booster! Tags: Mutation Booster, Unique Colors, Assassin, Pathing, Protective Pet Introduction: The foundational ideas and roles of this creature are: Mutation Booster: Ability to boost mutation rates of nearby creatures Granting unique, vibrant, (perhaps even glowy ) colors to creatures mutated by Coelophysis Stealthy Assassin: Able to use ASA pathing to find its way through bases to get to a target Being able to pass by turrets, alarms and creatures Has a special armor that allows them to be remotely controlled by a player Ability to largely ignore a players armor when attacking them, by constricting them Protective Pet: Immunity to torpor, radiation and other effects Protective tail scarf against toxins, gas and environment when on your shoulder Dossier: Common Name: Coelo Species: Coelophysis medens Time: Late Triassic Diet: Carnivore Temperament: Reactive Wild: Coelophysis medens is a little scoundrel hiding behind a cute appearance. This clever opportunist always goes after the weakest target possible, and when they act in groups, they dare target bigger prey - as long as it's weak and vulnerable. When a creature is small enough, Coelophysis has a unique way to kill it: it wraps its thick, tail around its victim's neck and strangles it, after sneaking behind the target. Moreover, killing one can be tricky, due to its ability to regrow lost tissues like a lizard. Could it be any more mischievous? Domesticated: As annoying as they are in the wild, Coelophysis turn into smart, versatile helpers, once tamed. First of all, they're small and stealthy, which means they can be taught to sneak into bases and strangle enemy survivors with their tail. Maybe they could even hide explosives while everyone's looking away! Also, that tail makes quite the pretty scarf, an effective cover from poison gas and hazardous environments. But a tamed Coelophysis' true value lies in its healing properties. I'm still not sure how they do it, but whatever allows them to regenerate so fast speeds up your own healing as well. Additionally, it seems to alter the genetic makeup of unborn baby creatures, causing their pigments to mutate. Wild: Wild Coelophysis are very elusive, and normally avoid risk, running away from larger creatures. Watch out, they are very fast and hard to spot after they run away! Other wild creatures also almost never attack them, unless Coelophysis attacks them first. When a player approaches them though, they will attempt to jump onto the players neck, constricting them and damaging them. You will have to move erratically to shake them off. Coelophysis spawn in the Crater Forest. They are quite rare (similar to Basilisk), and may spawn in groups of 2-4. Taming Process: Coelophysis requires you to prove your worth in a tame, and show you are a valuable companion to it, in contrary to the regular torpor taming method, as Coelophysis is immune to it. To do this, you will have to knock out large WILD creatures to the point that Coelo can kill it. The more health the creature has, the more taming this would provide. Tamed Abilities: Mutation Booster: Boosting Cells: Coelophysis has evolved to use element to boost the mutation rate of offspring. This will boost the mutation rate of nearby creatures depending on the oxygen stat of the Coelophysis. A certain stat mutation can be boosted slightly further by the player, so that you won't have to sift through as many creatures. Unique Colors: These special mutations can also give some rare, unique, vibrant colors to creatures that are only possible through mutating with Coelophysis. Some of these colors may even glow Stealthy Assassin: Undetectable: Coelophysis is largely undetectable to many threats, like wild creatures, tamed creatures set to aggressive, traps and alarms, turrets and Parasaur alarms. Assassin: Using new ASA creature pathfinding, the Coelophysis can find its way through structures, builds and terrain to find a nearby player. It can even hop on the backs of creatures to attack a player. When it reaches a player, it will start attacking them with its special Constricting Tail. Constricting Tail: When attacking players, Coelophysis can jump on their necks and constrict a player. This will drain their health directly, and will be only minimally effected by armor, allowing the Coelophysis to kill even heavily armored players that do not see it coming. Remote Control Armor: The player can equip Flak, Riot and Tek armor to Coelophysis to boost their armor. A camera can be attached to the Riot and Tek variants of this special Coelophysis armor, allowing them to be controlled remotely. The Tek form of this armor also allows them to temporarily stun players they jump onto, and disable any nearby electronics for a limited time, similar to a Scorched Earth electrical storm. Protective Pet: Protective Scarf: When on a players shoulder, the tail of the Coelophysis acts like a gas mask, protecting you from the environment and toxins, like those of Cnidarias stings, Arthropleuras acid and Araneos webs. Healing Beacon: On your shoulder, Coelophysis provides you with an increased healing speed, and is able to passively give you a healing burst when it notices you are low on health. Immunity: Coelophysis is fully immune to radiation, torpor and other toxins/poisons (like spores and jellyfish stuns). Utility & Scenarios: PvE: Coelophysis is incredibly useful in the mutating of creatures, as it can provide a boost to the mutation rate of creatures. We all know how frustrating it can be to take extremely long waiting for a new mutation to pop out, and Coelophysis will provide a bit of help in that process. Besides the boosted rates, Coelophysis can also cause mutations with more vibrant colors, fully unique to any creatures of the ARK, providing you with very special and personalized creatures. In caves, Coelophysis will provide a lot of help, as they can protect like a gas mask would, and protect you from harmful effects like that of the acid of the wild Arthropleura, the webs of Araneos and the rabies given by pesky Onycs. Not only this, but it can also provide a burst of quick healing when you are on low health, saving you some of your precious medical brews. PvP: Coelophysis provides a whole new aspect to a PvP fight. Although they are not incredibly powerful brawlers, they can sneak past most defenses of bases, allowing them to still deal valuable damage to enemies. They are completely undetectable to turrets and parasaurs, and can sneak past aggressive tamed creatures if done carefully. It can be remotely controlled for valuable information, without being automatically gunned down. Once inside a base, it can easily kill an unprepared player, and can even kill them through very powerful armor. This makes them very valuable assets in raids and can even find a use in defending a base, using Coelophysis to jump unprepared players on creatures. Conclusion: Coelophysis would be a refreshing and interesting addition to ARKs creature roster, allowing for new strategies in PvP, granting much quality of life in PvE and PvP, and gives more unique customisation to your most cherished creatures, in the form of new and exciting colors. Have fun, survivors! The Tylosaurus was a giant mosasaurus being equaled to the mosasaurus in size, but this subspecies has very specific forms of attack. Wild: Unlike the mosasaur that lives in the depths, Tylosaurus sicarius lives closer to the shores looking for prey that is far away or that is on the surface when the prey is sighted you can see from afar a bang after the jump followed by a bite that if it does not kill the prey the bleeding will kill them they are solitary predators but they will be of great help. Taming method: To tame your own Tylosaurus you will need patience since you will have to look for a bigger Tylosaurus and make it retreat leaving it with 2% of the total life so you will find where the nursery is and be able to tame a baby with Kibble and only Kibble. Skills: Bite: Basic attack working with right click with good damage. Ambush: Hide with your Tylosaurus and attack prey while swimming to cause bleeding. Swing: Uses its tail to throw creatures smaller than a plesiosaur out of the water, this attack works on large ones but only deals damage. Push: In this attack, the Tylosaurus throws itself against the enemy and stuns it, giving time for ambushes or escapes. Thirst for Battle: Gives 20% bonus speed and 10% damage to allies. Saddles: Like its mosasaur relative, Tylosaurus has the normal and platform saddle with the platform saddle being slightly smaller than the mosasaur platform. Shallow Jump: In this attack, the tylosaurus will jump onto the beach or nearby rocks, dragging creatures smaller than a triceratops into the water. Dossier: the tylosaurus is a literal great addition to this marine giant's team, it is always ambushing the creatures, this mosasaur enemy lives in intermediate places between the deep and shallow and loves to attack rafts in the center so attention must be given to the sea survivors , his attacks are incredibly effective so make sure he doesn't miss your boat but don't settle for staying on the beach if this giant spots you he will jump onto the beach trying to get you dinner.

Species: Hippocampus Sarmaticus/Leviathan Time: Middle Miocene Diet: Carnivore Temperament: Aggressive Here’s another attempt. I think The Center is a perfect map for this tame. The vast ocean, the underworld, all the air bubbles. I feel Ark's oceans need a bit of love. What better way than with a new mount. Seahorses are pretty cool looking as well as sea dragons, and who wouldn't want to ride around on one. A saddled mount of course They're like master ninjas, so this mount could have some sort of camo ability, maybe when they're within underwater vegetation. They could function similar to an underwater purlovia, and their first strike from being hidden could cause massive burst damage. Kinda like sneak damage. Because of this sneakyness, make all wild creatures non aggressive to it unless provoked. This includes the jellies. In fact, let's make this creature immune to jellies shock to have another mount to fight against them. Maybe even have cnidaria actively run away from them like the piranha does to the sarco. These could be the best biotoxin gatherers. (A sea slug pic, but the patterns and appendages look cool, and I invision this ark creature taking visual cues from it) Seahorses also are very tanky with their bone like ridges down their body. Instead of their body and tails being cylindrical, they're more square, thus able to take more damage and even be compressed and be able to bounce back unharmed. This means the ark creature could make for a very tanky mount with possibly even recoil damage. Add a good saddle for even more tanking. Seahorses also have great mobility, so it can control similar to an underwater Tapejara. This is a very interesting video below about Seahorses. Utility is a big thing the ocean needs too. With the males pouch, it could function as an underwater maewing, able to nurse or improve imprints. Maybe a player can use its pouch to be transported underwater and give oxygen. Again, immunity to jelly stings. They have these cool prehensile tails too. They can use this to latch onto different things underwater to stay put, and enter a sort of turret mode. We can use these prehensile tails to grab small to some medium sized creatures, which has a multitude of uses, but also make it able to pick players underwater from their mounts. To balance this, make it ridden only or something. These tails could have another purpose too. There aren't any underwater shoulder pets. Until they're grown, while they're still a baby/adolescent, they can use the tail to become a shoulder mount. Adding stun immunity or reduction, or adding armor and recoil damage to the player while assisting in battle with their attack/breath. The balance to this would be that it's temporary, until the baby reaches a certain size, then it auto dismounts. Killing cnidaria could make it grow faster, or feeding it biotoxin. It would speed up raising. You could ignore this mechanic to keep it smaller for longer to keep the shoulder benefits, because it's raise time could be long without using it. With all these positives, maybe give the creature lower stamina, or make it opposite of the bear. Super fast burst speed that eventually slows down. Same with dps. Stupid high burst speed dps, that slows a lot over time. The way I imagine it looking is some kind of Seahorse/Seadragon hybrid with some draconian features. This is ark afterall, and some dinos aren't 100% real world accurate, so we can spice this up a bit. https://www.google.com/search?q=sea+dragon&tbm=isch&ved=2ahUKEwj_ttH9nMj8AhWTFmIAHQ8kBcAQ2-cCegQIABAC&oq=sea+dragon&gs_lcp=ChJtb2JpbGUtZ3dzLXdpei1pbWcQAzIECCMQJzIKCAAQgAQQsQMQDTIECAAQQzIECAAQQzIECAAQQzoFCAAQgAQ6BAgAEAM6CAgAEIAEELEDOgsIABCABBCxAxCDAToHCAAQsQMQQ1CBCFjmJGC-KWgAcAB4AIABe4gBgAuSAQM2LjiYAQCgAQHAAQE&sclient=mobile-gws-wiz-img&ei=WzzDY7-dA5OtiLMPj8iUgAw&bih=647&biw=412&client=ms-android-americamovil-us-revc#imgrc=t00DU5k3vLyQlM&imgdii=w_wkJPB5AToXmM Another cool option would be some kind of underwater breath attack. Bubbles that stun or slow so they can assassinate prey, or superheated water jet, but I'd like for them to have some sort of poison breath. It would go with the assassin theme. This poison would accumulate in its inventory similar to acatina, maybe increasing production for a time with cnidaria kills stacking. We could coat our weapons or even dino claws with the poison to give special debuffs and inreased damage per hit for a time. This would benefit high attack speed dinos a lot like the raptor, giving more use for its faster attack buff from its alpha call. I hope you all like and upvote.

Reaper Assassin, the terror of the dark
MrReaper1207 posted a suggestion in Creature submission archive
The reaper assassin is an elongated stalky reaper male, they are extremely skinny and are lighter than a reaper king. they have patrol zones in the red and blue zone. A scythe blade at the end of its tail and dagger like claws on its front arms, it is capable of climbing walls, and can go invisible. able to perform devestating stealth strikes dealing thousands of damage in a single blow if launched at a target while climbing and invisible, did i mention it can go invisible. A tek saddle giving it teleportation, a laser scythe that grows larger with each consecutive hit. It is capable of going on 2 legs to use its front claws, which apply acid burn to anything hit. However unlike other reapers, they only get a 25% damage reduction in the absence of charge light, they also require a saddle to ride. To obtain one you must kill a wild one and get their trophy item, their scythe blade. This can be combined with a pheromone gland in a chem bench to make a special item which i have not named that can be consumed when you have all 75 levels on a max level reaper king embryo. this will convert the embryo to an assassin, in which you will need to get every single level from level 1 to the max a reaper king can get for a successful birth. Their saddle is unlocked at level 100 and their tek saddle unlocked by defeating alpha rockwell. I have no plans of getting art sadly. In terms of stats they would have incredibly high base damage(under the right conditions highest dps of any dino), health comparable to a spino, speed of a rock drake. In the wild they are much stronger and have massive aggro but will never leave their patrol zones, they will not bother you if you are accompanied by a reaper of some sort. Charge makes them hit harder. Good luck.- 1 reply

Palaeocoma milleri - the nightmare starfish!
Goredeus posted a suggestion in Creature submission archive
Wild The mutative properties of this damaged ark have gave rise to many monstrosities. Paleocoma, once a small aquatic starfish has grown to massive proportions with an insatiable appitite to boot. This creepy echinoderm waits on the celiengs of open caverns to drop down on prey, flashing bright colors and tangling them in its arms. However, Paleocoma isint afraid to swing outside its class and will even take bites out of creatures much bigger than it. Domesticated If tamed Paleocoma could make an efficient assassin able to climb walls with great speed and ensnare high priority foes. I'm sure marksman could make use of them as well as their backs seem like a steady platform to shoot from. I have yet to see a tribe brave enough to tame one, however they seem to become aggressive to other carnivores and even their own kind when feeding... perhaps taking care of the competition could earn you its trust?- 1 reply
