I would love if you could up the tether distance higher so me and my friends can play non dedicated sessions without having to deal with the annoying tether distance. I know it has to do with performance so once that is sorted out it would be a nice change to see.

Okay.... So, today, I heard there was a lot of disappointment for Xbox and Microsoft people, due to the sudden change in ARK: Survival Ascended's release. Lots of people were expecting it to come out today, and got really disappointed by the delay with the certification process... it was sudden, unfair and put a hold on a lot of people's plans for their activities for the game. Does that excuse the behavior on the community's part towards the devs? ...... ABSOLUTELY NOT. I didn't see any of the posts and comments in the discord server, and if they're as bad as I've heard they are? I'm grateful I didn't. I am EXTREMELY disappointed in the people who carried out these vile attacks. Delays happen and life is full on unexpected surprises, but nothing, absolutely NOTHING gives anyone the right to threaten people for a delay in a game's release. To those who carried out these despicable acts, you all should be ashamed of yourselves. You all didn't even stop and think that the delay is possibly because the devs are working around the clock to make sure ARK Ascended's release onto consoles is good and polished. Would you rather they released it and just see a bunch of bugs or crashing? PC players had a LOT of issues from the start, so I've seen in various videos across YouTube, and the devs have been working at their best to iron out the bugs and clean the game so it runs smooth and looks good while doing it. Developing a game of this size, beauty and detailing takes dedication, time, patience and perseverance. If you have no appreciation or acceptance for any of those qualities, which all the developers of ARK are teaming with, than perhaps this isn't the community you belong on. I'm personally awaiting its release for Playstation, I'm waiting just as long, if not LONGER than Xbox players, that doesn't mean I'm gonna throw a fit or hold a gun to someone's face and say "Release this or die"! That's just stupid, childish and wrong. It'd be threatening someone if I don't get my way. Actons like that don't make you unsatisfied customers or consumers, that makes you BULLIES. Remember people... be patient, tolerant, expect the unexpected... but above all? Be KIND to one another, especially the people who create this wonderful game.

game improvement Increase Generator Limit (for large bases)
cashATM posted a suggestion in Game Suggestions
I like the concept for the new generators in the game - however, it is a bit limited for large bases. Our large base/warehouse/dino-breeder (all-in-one) is 40x24 and with the current limit of 3 generators, I am unable to cover our floorplan with electricity. I like that the removal of cables/outlets (and pipes for that matter) helps me keep my overall structure count down with less to render, but the new plan creates dark areas in our base. We can adapt by putting appliances that need power in strategic places, but we cannot completely light our base at night. I feel it used to be that almost every creature had a purpose to taming them and served a niche role for size of tribe, stage in progression and abilities. With the addition of all the new maps and creatures I feel this has fallen by the way-side and many creatures are useless and completely overlooked, no longer serving any purpose in the game (both for taming and for farming). I have a few suggestions to help with this problem, in order of what I believe would make the most difference. 1. Make a server setting called "Native creature transfer only" which only allows creatures that are native to the map to be transferred on to the sever. This will help prevent creatures like the wyven and the tek strider breaking the balance of other maps. Have this setting on by default but allow non-official to turn it off if they want. Different creature variants (regular, aberrant, type R etc.) could or could not be classed as native even if that variant did not exist on the map. I don't think this would break the meta. 2. Have a breading balance. I like the idea of a mutation count for each stat and no way of exceeding that count. acat proposed a great way of doing that with his alternative suggestion here: https://survivetheark.com/index.php?/forums/topic/687182-breeding-rework-for-asa/. In addition to this suggestion I would suggest that creature variants should be breedable with each other, with the babies taking on the variant of one parent. This would make sense just as different tiger etc species can mate irl. It would also reduce the number of breading lines without breaking the meta. Whether this extends to wyven and similar variants can be decided by wildcard. I DO NOT want to get rid of breading altogether as I am one of those odd people who like it and trying to great slightly out there creatures really good. 3. Add some wide spread environmental buff/debuffes. By this I mean do not apply it just to a single species. Some example I like are: - Cold blooded debuff: Debuff all cold blooded land creatures' speed, stam and melee when the temperature drops below 5 degC by a percent equal to the number of degrees below 5 degC. Possible exemptions: feathered creatures. -Cold region creature debuff: same as cold blooded debuff but for creatures naturally found in cold places like mammoths, wooly rhinos, dire wolfs, yutyrannus etc. Have the debuff apply for temps above 25 degC. Possible exemptions: create Scorched Earth variants for creatures that would otherwise be effected by this but are found on Scorched. - Herd buff: Herd herbivoures get a weight and stam bonus when in groups of 4 or more. -Solo buff: Increase some stats for creatures that like to be by themselves, when they haven't been near a creature of the same type for more than 2 minutes. Possible creatures: cats, bears, tuso etc. Lets start a good discussion on how to fix the taming meta and make more creatures worth taming. Chuck all agreement, criticisms and further suggestions in the comments.
