🔥¡Introducing Leanchoilia, land-based anti-aircraft cannon!🔥 WILD This crab-like creature loves sulfur lakes, they seem very comfortable and calm although more than one has lost their life trying to get close to them, because although they may not seem like it, they are quite aggressive, especially if they are females with eggs breeding inside. DOMESTICATED Surprisingly, they are very useful for a nomad like me, thanks to them I can transport everything I need inside and with their large shell, both I and my treasures will be safe from anything. Over time I have managed to create a saddle that fits his body perfectly and I think I have achieved it, an armor capable of carrying a large anti-aircraft cannon, before anything that flew over my head was a problem but with this no one will stop us. HOW TO TAME Taming this creature may seem simple but it proves to be a challenge for someone surviving alone. This animal cannot be put to sleep with narcotics, so the simplest solution is to enter it directly and steal its egg that is inside its shell and then raise it and become its new mother. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Passive skills: Their razor-sharp legs are capable of cutting the most unsuspecting, causing bleeding at the slightest touch with the flesh. Its more common diet(Sulfur) only makes it more resistant to subzero temperatures, making it immune to freezing. Thanks to these tentacles, it is capable of extracting large quantities of sulfur from rocks and lakes full of this material. Its large shell protects its interior from anyone who wants to steal its babies, so the survivor can take advantage of this space to store their treasures there or simply take advantage of it to sleep and rest a little. MOVESET(without saddle): Primary Attack(Left click): It attacks with its tentacles forward causing significant damage and has a chance to cause bleeding. Secondary attack(Right click): It grabs the prey in front of it with its strong tentacles to immobilize it.(Catch dinos equal to or below Managarmr) MOVESET(with saddle): ¡PRESS CTRL TO START CONTROLLING THE SADDLE! Primary Attack(Left click): When you are controlling the saddle, aim at your aerial targets by moving the mouse 360º and fire projectiles that will explode in the air near the target. Secondary attack(Right click): When controlling the saddle, hold down the action button(right click) to mark a target and fire a guided double attack with greater force. ¡WARNING! ¡EXCESSIVE USE OF THE CANNONS CAN CAUSE THEM TO OVERHEAT, MAY YOU HAVE TO WAIT A LITTLE BIT TO USE THEM AGAIN! ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ REFERENCES: This creature is based on one that originally existed in the Cambrian period, both have the same name and a similar appearance, maintaining most of their characteristics except the size of the legs and the size of the creature in general is much larger than the original taking into account that this creature is about 5cm long.- 6 replies

Saurophaganax, The Fear Factor For a creature whose name means ‘lord of lizard-eaters’ I think only a true lord of combat is appropriate. Here’s my idea for the creature, and before you turn away saying it’s only another large therapod, see if you like my ideas first! And I apologise for the long read, I just have so many ideas for this tyrant of the past! Recreation of Saurophaganax Appearance Ideas: The Sauro would be a low leaning therapod like the Baryonx, being around 11-13m in real life, in ark it would be sized about in the middle of a Yuty and an Allo, so by no means the biggest of the bunch, hence it’s much faster speed, being able to run at a fast pace to catch prey. It would have long claws and a terrifying face perhaps similar to the Vastatasaurus from Peter Jackson’s King Kong and sporting the head crests like it’s smaller cousin Allosaurus. It would have small feathery frills and jagged spine banks running down its back and tail and thick heavy scales along its hide similiar to monsters such as the Indominus Rex from Jurassic World. It could also have some reversed scales on its thighs and arms like the dragons of mythology where it is said touching a reversed dragon scale incites it’s true rage, almost as though touching it is death. I would like it to have a vibrant pallete of colour along its back and thighs in a ‘paint pouring’ effect like the Saurophaganax from Dinosaur King. During the ‘Dominance’ affect it has, frills would flare up across its body and its nostrils and mouth will flare and release steam. It could have meat bags similiar to the hyenadon on its saddle which auto collects the rare materials such as Reaper barbs for you, removing the need to dismount or drop any meats to get them. Taming: For Sauro i can see a gruelling taming method in the heart of combat. To start the tame you need to approach one mounted on a creature that’s prepared to take a beating, as the Sauro will continually attack the creature until it drains all of its stamina. Should your creature build up full fear from the attacks, the Sauro will enter its ‘Dominance’ state, and regain its stamina so you will have to wait for the state to wear off before resuming taming. Once it’s stamina is drained it will do an animation where it bows its head and tries to catch its breath back, allowing you to beat it up and apply fear with all your attacks. But be careful not to kill the beast, it will get a portion of health back once its stamina is recovered however. After repeated cycles and once the ironic fear is built up on the Sauro, it will run a few paces in fear before slumping down with exhaustion and becoming knocked out cold, taking kibble and such like a regular tame from there on. The downside is the full fear is built on the sleeping creature, so it must be protected from outside attacks with extra care. An idea I had was for battle tartar to act like its kibble, but it might be too powerful as it’s much easier to make than kibbles so it’s up to wildcard’s discretion. Abilities: As the lizard-eater, Saurophaganax preys on fear and crushes enemies -R2/Left click: Very slow medium damage bite that ramps up speed over time of perhaps 10 seconds. Starting around the speed of a Magmasaur until being about the same speed as a Raptor and the animation changing to a vicious rending to indicate full speed. Builds up fear on hit depending on drag weight of creature. -L2/Right click: Turns around and slams the ground with its tail before whipping it back around again. Deals high damage and cannot be performed while running. Has an extra large bonus to the fear damage multiplier but resets fear to 0. -R3/C: Crouches down and charges a dash that rushes forward and slashes for bleed application, at full charge can latch onto a creature similiar to a Deinonychus. It grabs on with its top jaw and can still bite and apply fear with lower jaw while attached, but the bite doesn’t gain any speed and staying latched drains stamina and can’t do any other actions. Disengage with another C press. Applies a slow effect called ‘Crippled’ and perhaps light bleed akin to stego. If it’s possible, it would be great if latched creatures can be dragged/pushed around by moving if drag weight light enough. Multiple Sauros can latch to add too the damage and improve the dragging ability. -X/Space: A quick, Shattering roar that applies the ‘Crippled’ slow buff on nearby creatures for a few seconds. Allows it to catch targets running from full fear and would definitely look very cool. -Dominance state: When a creature is fully feared near the Sauro, it will rear its head back, rend its teeth and growl into the air as it enters its ‘Dominance’ state. In this state, speed and stamina regen are increased, the bite gains speed much faster, and when at max speed Sauro additionally swipes its claws for every bite, dealing medium damage and applying a stacking bleed that deals direct % damage alike Deinonychus. Wears off in 15s once no feared creatures are nearby. Aberration Map: Saurophaganax would be suited for Abberation as it’s home, it would provide a new creature to go for against Rockwell instead of the usual Megalosaurus or Rock Drake rushing popular strategies and would be very useful around the map. I think it should be either immune to radiation, or have an Aberrant variant so it can prowl the dangerous zones of the map. It’s abilities and the gathering pack on its saddle would make it great for gathering large amounts of Nameless venom and taking down hordes of enemies on the surface. It could also receive an aberrant variant pattern, with all those patterns looking amazing when they glow in the dark. Rexes, Allos and such are missing from the map, so Sauro can fill in for a larger theropod to rival the Reapers and Spinos already there. And of course Yutyrannus are missing too, so the Saurophaganax can teach those Aberrant abominations the meaning of fear with its introduction of the mechanic being potentially vital. Utility: Saurophaganax is specialised for combat, and would be made to take on large swarms of dinos such as in genesis missions or OSD defences. But it would also be able to fight bosses with its latch attack being able to bleed them even though fear can’t be applied. It would have Crazy synergy with the Yutyrannus fear roar, making it perhaps used alongside the courage roar and mixing up the game a bit. I also think it would be great to use in packs with multiple Sauros latching onto one big threat to take it down as a team. It’s fast speed and combat prowess for PVP would make it great for raids and Dino wars where it can scare away ridden dinos and protect convoys of tames. It’s general speed and combat affinity mean it’s great for collecting rare drops with its specialised saddle bags for boss tribute farming. I hope you liked my idea for the Saurophaganax! If you have any suggestions or want to add your own, leave it down below and let’s hope we can see the lord of lizards in ASA!
