  1. From better reaper stats to simple tames made faster, the maia is your main man to take on taming endeavors!
By speeding up food drain, slowing torpor drain, and even healing wild dinos this bad boy has it all!
Theirs a ton this prehistoric beast can do!EbsbBoiWsAE0jFL.jpg.f29aa11fa79ad522d21e8d68e47e5e43.jpg
Here's a nice picture of the maia's height compared to a person and some other info

    Aaaaand their glowing bits
For more info on the maia my dudes - https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maiasaura

So let's get right to it folks!

    Invigorating song

Maiasaura sing an invigorating song that heal all those that hear it, the longer the maia sings the more it heals.
They can even invigorate wild creatures as well healing them too!
To sing any of their songs maia use their oxygen to do it

They can also half/reduce the timer of current debuffs on creatures/players effected by their invigorating song but not torpor on wild creatures

If this song is used on a wip tame it will will both heal them and speed up their food drain if it's needed to tame them

    Calming Lullaby

Maiasaura sing a lullaby of sorts to their hatchlings, this same tune can be used to aid in the taming of many creatures by calming them down.
This song can also slow torpor drain too!
The harder the tame the more the song helps with it, even allowing previous creatures that couldn't be perfect tamed to be done without issue!
Even helping in unexpected ways with some of the stranger beasts across the arks like reapers!

They also can't be targeted by the wip tame while singing and You can make them flash their markings too which will ward off some creatures from attacking you and if their imprinted rider is in danger they'll flash them automatically.
This also applies to your own tames and current wip tames if their close enough to them
They will flash at enemy players and tames as well
Their glowing makings can be turned on/off at will by riding them/in the menu wheel

The ever troublesome rock golems and karkinos can finally be perfect tamed, with the help of a maia of course.
By singing the karkinos and golems will gain more torpor and will take less damage from the bolders used to KO them.
Once close enough to being KOed they will fall asleep instead of needing to be hit with another bolder instead, getting you a perfect KO!

A maia's singing abilities can calm Reaper queens, making them quite docile.(though still murderous)
This results in them impregnating someone without potential hours of conflict to get them to do it otherwise,
With the reaper queen not being stressed out in the process, her children now have  higher stats then normal
She may even impregnate more then one person before leaving as well!
However one should be careful for if a Maia stops singing the queen will return to her violent ways
A second maiasaura can prevent this by continuing where the first left off

Shadowmanes sleep for longer and may stay asleep for multiple fish before waking up

Hyenadons will gain sanifagantlty more taming from petting, reduced aggro radius, they won't attack just tamed hyenadons for a time, the alpha's won't aggro to the tamer/maia and can now be tamed

These are just the creatures I can think of too dudes to fill free to say your own ideas!

    Other cool abilitys

When mate boosted near baby creatures in a radius a round them maia's give an effect like a Procoptodon pouch to them, increasing the amount you imprint your babies for and massively reducing their food consumption
Maewings will have a much harder time stealing you're babies that are affected by a pair of maiasaura or perhaps can't at all

    Taming

Maiasaura nest in herds that are heavily guarded by mostly males (females are sometimes seen in patrolling/guard groups as well) The Maiasaura will patroll around the edge of the nesting grounds and stand guard in the grounds as well, attacking anyone foolish enough to ignoring their hanting bellows and flashing tails
Next to a nest may have a maia tending to its nest or babies. For they don't actually lay on a nest they put rotting plants on them to keep them warm.
This is your target for taming
To obtain this beast one must sneak up to a nest, occupied or not, past guards and nested maiasaura without getting spotted, snach an egg from a Maiasaura's nest and make a stealthy getaway or else get trampled by the herd if your spotted(for they are quite fast)
The further the nest is in the nesting grounds the better the egg quality will be and eggs successfully snatched from its guardian maiasaura will also have a better egg quality then an unoccupied nest but are harder to obtain. For you're much easier to notice for the nested maiasaura and you must pass a mini game to not get caught stealing the egg from her nest
Failing this game will result in you getting spotted instantly and most likely your untimely, gruesome demise

Alternatively one can achieve an egg from brute force by killing the entire herd but this will always result in horrible egg qualities and fewer eggs, perhaps even no eggs at all
Maewings also can't steal wild baby maiasaura, you have to steal the eggs yourself(I don't know if this is a thing in the remaster, im putting it here anyways just in case)

    Egg quality notes

Eggs will not state their level and instead show their quality, the better the quality  the better the baby that comes from it
    Higher level, higher stats, etc.
An Eggs depth in the nesting grounds and whether or not it was being actively guarded quality bonus does stack and this is the only way to acquire the best possible egg quality of pristine
Pristine eggs will always hatch at max level

Egg qualities from best to worst
Pristine - why your sneaking around in the first place
    Excellent- spicy
Nice - your average every day egg
Okay - not bad but not good either
Terrible - it's pretty sad looking
Rotten/Broken/Infertile - it won't hatch ever, whether it's your doing, mama did an oops and stepped on it, another Maia had a snack, or it didn't make it is a different matter what matters is that it's not that useful and that's sad
Infertile eggs can be made into kibble
Rotten eggs can be used for speed rotting meat, gunpowder making, or fertilizer
Broken eggs can be used for fertilizer

    Final notes

Right this down devs, their glowing stripes need to be a color region that can be changed from event colors or breeding, it would be a shame not to do it.
    A total wasted opportunity.
(Note their markings flash like the tek stegos plates do from front to back)
