I was looking forward to this upcoming Easter event but if the cryopod bug crashing games on PS4 isn’t fixed by then, what’s the point? Is there any information about a date for an update or will there even be an update to fix this issue?

Yep, typical Wildcard, fix one thing break something else. Put a ticket in and so far nothing. Coming up to a big event and it’s looking like I can’t tame anything as I can’t freeze it in a cryopod. I’m solo so cryopods are very important to staying hidden.
