I want to introduce you to Velociraptor, a new creature that may appear in ARK SURVIVAL ASCENDED on the Center map.
Wild:
Despite their small size, slightly smaller than their relative Utahraptor, they prey on most of the creatures of the center, attacking a flock and 4-5 individuals. Their favorite hunting tactic is to corner their prey, and while most of the pack distracts them, 1-2 raptors attack from the back, parkour on the rocks, after which the poor victim is torn to shreds.
Domesticated:
Those who managed to tame at least one Velociraptor get a devoted friend and an excellent fighter. But still, they are best in the pack, where they have an alpha and the corresponding effect. But if you are a skilled rider, then even with the help of one such comrade, you can knock down such large creatures as Mammoth, Paraceraterium and even Diplodocus. And the whole secret lies in his deadly claws and the ability to parkour on the rocks.
Appearance
In ARK, Velociraptor will look like a mixture of Archeopteryx and Utahraptor, with slightly shorter legs and a longer tail.
Skills:
LBM: Standard bite, dealing low damage;
RBM: If you hold down while running, then a sight will appear, in the form of a jump trajectory, and if you press the Space at the same time, the Velociraptor will park between the walls. Also, when pressed together with the Space LMB, Velo will jump on the nearest creatures, similar to Deinonychus;
C: Roar of the alpha;
Space: Bounce.
Domestication:
To tame a Velociraptor, you need to win his trust. To do this, you need to choose the one you like and cut off from the pack for a while, after which he will feel lost and will not attack you if you do not attack first. As soon as you find yourself in his field of vision, he will shun you, but at the same time considering, as if studying. At this point, you should throw food at him, he will sniff and eat, do this several times before he trusts you that you could get close enough to pet him. Once you've gained his trust, he'll want you to prove your loyalty and hunt with him, once you've killed enough prey together you'll have to pet him one last time, after which he'll be tamed.
