shoulderpet The Prehistoric Platypus (Monotrematum sudamericanum)

Suggestion

Hello survivors!

This small shoulder pet buddy is much like the otter with all its abilities. The Monotrematum has a special venom attack to any creature attacking the player. This venom slowly deals damage to the attacker even after it has run away, this damage affects creatures for only five seconds after they have attacked the player. Mind you though, this ability only works when on the shoulder of the player. The Monotrematum also has a second ability where when you put the Monotrematum in water it gives the player a cooling effect, great for those trekking through the desert. But the problem is, this cooling effect slowly wears off to the point where it starts to give the player warmth, just like an otter. But all you have to do to fix this problem is plop them back into the water and then they are good as new. Female Monotrematum can also produce milk to help speed up the growth of any dinosaur, and also helps incubate one egg at a time.

Basic Info:

"Wild: I have found that this little guy is peaceful to everyone, until attacked. That is when all Monotrematum in the area gang up on the attacker and its tames, using those venomous claws of theirs to keep doing damage after they have been killed . These critters live in the same areas we have found otters, but they do seem to keep piranhas away. And their eggs lay on the river banks, for those looking for a tame, or food.

"Domesticated: Monotrematum are only tamable with the milk produced by female Monotrematum, and in order to get the milk is to knock the females out, but be warned that other Monotrematum will attack you if you damage one of their kind. And then you must give the milk to a Monotrematum egg once it hatches, much like a wyvern. But once tamed you will have a shoulder pet who can wield those claws against anyone attempting to hurt their owner. These little friends also cool you down once put in water, and if left out long enough it will provide warmth. These critters can also help with the incubation and growth of an egg, although it only works on a single egg at a time."
