The Jonkeria was a massive synapsid from the Permian era, growing up to 11.5 feet in length and weighing almost 500 pounds this creature was certainly one you would not want to mess with. Since synapsids are a very unrepresented group in ark even though they're a very diverse and interesting group, I thought it would be fitting to suggest one for this competition.
Wild Behavior
In the wild Jonkeria can be found roaming the mountains of scorched earth with a couple moschops buddies, however despite the fact they group with the peaceful moschops does not mean they are peaceful too, in fact they are quite aggressive when you get too close to their herd or when you try to tame one of the moschops in said herd, in summary if you see a Jonkeria in the wild, do not get close to it unless if you are trying to tame it.
Taming
Just like the moschops following them, the Jonkeria has a very similar taming method to the moschops however you cannot just one up to one and tame it like the moschops due to their aggression, instead you must sneak behind them in a ghillie suit and then you can feed them, but once fed you must run away quickly as they will become aggressive, thankfully they aren’t that fast. After repeating this process with different foods, you will have tamed the Jonkeria.
Uses When Tamed
When tamed the Jonkeria has many uses, first of all they are great gatherers being able to easily gather desert materials like sand, clay and silk with ease, they can also gather most of the resources a normal moschops would be able gather as well. Secondly they are a siege mount, their large bodys makes them perfect for destroying structures making them do extra damage to structures as opposed to damage on other creatures. Finally they are able to command moschops to do things for you, their harvest roar will tell tamed moschops to gather anything in a nearby range while their aggression roar will make moschops attack anything without the need of riding them (for those who don’t know if you command a moschops to attack something they will just run around frantically and attack nothing.)
In summary I think the Jonkeria could be an excellent addition to ark and its deserts with it’s many uses it has and could even give the moschops more uses instead of just being an early game mount and a good harvester.
