I get rat holes are not meant to be in the game but rat holes was the only way for solos and small tribes to survive without getting offline or wiped by a alpha or a huge tribe ark has changed a lot you can not build outside at all as a solo/duo or any small tribe instead of only making caves meant for alphas make super hard little caves with crouch points and stuff but balance them by making them have not much space at all so that casual solos/duos can survive all the base spots are always only meant for big tribes make base spots meant for different sized tribes
