[AU/NZ] TheGreatBarrierOfArk - Ragnarok (PC)

Hello and welcome to GBA,

We are a brand new PvP server and we want you to join!
We see it fitting to start our adventure on Ragnarok and use it for our Homeworld. We will add a rotation cluster starting with TheIsland if we become popular enough and is requested by our playerbase.


About the server (Compared to Official):

  • 1x XP, 1x Harvesting
    We want to create a server where grinding is required, giving that sense of achievement when you finally finish that metal base and/or reach lvl 100 ?
     
  • 2.5x Taming
    The dino count has been reduced as well as server difficulty (20% less than Official) so finding that treasured lvl 150 will become more difficult and protecting your downed tame against other players and wild threats will become more crucial
     
  • 1.3x Loot Crate Quality, 3x Fishing Quality
    Getting back into the fold after being raided is important, so having the ability to get back some of your favourite blueprints is a nice way to restart
     
  • 10x Incubation/Gestation
    The Hatchery from SS allows for faster incubation of eggs, this is simply so mammal gestation can keep up
     
  • 0.5x Mating Interval
    Waiting between 24 - 48hrs is a bit much, this setting will bring it down to a more reasonable time-frame (12 - 24hrs) without being able to spam breed, giving more emphasis on good stats
     
  • 1.5x Imprint Quality
    To compensate for the extended breeding intervals, giving your baby 50% better imprinting stats than Official will allow people to put the effort into their breeding lines
     
  • 3x Maturation
    This is so you don't need to no life the game but also so you can't grow a rex/theri in a single afternoon :P

 

Server Mod List for QoL:

  1. Super Structures - An upgraded version of S+
  2. ARKomatic - Excellent quality of life, making things a bit more autonomous, freeing up time for you to grind resources or breed that new line of Rexes
  3. Krakens Better Dinos - A good mod to make creatures more versatile, making them worth the time to tame them
  4. Platforms Plus - This adds the utility of better cliff platforms and proper snap points with dinos whom have platform saddles
  5. Ark Additions: The Collection - This mod adds a variety of new dinos into the ARK, all with their own utilities and purposes
  6. Ark Additions: Domination Rex - A Lvl 100 engram that allows you to engineer an egg for the Domination Rex (If you wish for a different variant -SE, Ab or Ext- then you can simply ask an Admin for a swapout)
  7. Dino Tracker - This mod allows you to scope out your tribe's missing dinos, tribemates/allies, your corpse if you were to die and not know where and can pinpoint a wild dino within a 20 foundation radius
  8. Lethal's Reusables - Let's face it, nothing's worse than running out of bolas ?
  9. Kavan's Missions and Shops - This is an ingame shop system where you can trade in trophies acquired through killing certain dinos to gain currency (goldcoins) which will allow you to buy offworld dinos/BP's (Will be reworked over time) This includes Genesis: Part 1 HLN-A shop items (Yes, even lootcrates!)
  10. HG Stacking Mod +2500 -50% - This mod comes into play with a 50% weight reduction on raw resources and ammo as well as being able to stack up to 2500 (ammo is +250), making it easier for storage and early game carrying/transporting purposes
  11. ECO's RP Decor - Another QoL mod with some furniture structures. Sometimes having pretty things is nice ?


Offline raiding will be harder with turrets doing 50% more damage and structures taking half normal damage once a tribe has been offline for 10mins.
We are trying to build a friendly PvP community with integrity and all are welcome! We'll do our best to accommodate all our players, but the basis of this server is the slow, thought-out progression, putting in the effort and seeing your empire rise!
We also have a donation section for those who wish to get a larger head start on their journey!
