New Kibble vs Augmented Kibble

Now the new kibble system is in I was just curious about what is going to happen with the augmented kibbles? I was imprinting a dino on extinction and I noticed its still asking for augmented kibbles and not any of the new types.
It's a bit of a pain to have 2 sets of kibble for every type (augmented and non-augmented.) Prior to the patch you could just use your kibbles for both imprinting and taming.
Is this going to be a permanent thing? The Augmented kibble recipes are different too, and contain more difficult to acquire ingredients.
