  1. 🎨- hodarinundu Common Name: Giant Camel Species: Megatylopus Adaptecus Time: Late Miocene - Late Pliocene Diet: Herbivore Temperament: Contrary Wild: Megatylopus is a large extinct species of camel. they are well built up to survive in harsh diverse locations. you can spot them in a variety of different habitats from the desserts to the cold snowy areas and to the grasslands in-between. These creatures are a lot more surprising than they appear too, at first glance you might think that they are harmless, however they actually have quite a bad temperament. I have heard stories about how contrary they can be, they have very powerful kicks and surprisingly enough they spit too. They might even bite you, so be careful. With how large these camels are it seems that small creatures don't really approach or disturb them. When you spot the Megatylopus, others normally are not too far away, you can often find them in herds. Domesticated: These Giant camels are quite valuable if you can manage to tame one, when they warm up to you there actually pretty loyal however, sometimes they still might occasionally spit on you so you do got to be careful not to upset them. these camels have evolved and adapted over time and make great travel companions, they even can keep a survivor warm in colder climates. I have heard rumours of them being able to produce a delicious milk that is able to not only sustain survivours but tames and creatures also. Abilities: Camel milk - camels can be milked to provide nutritional milk suitable for both survivors which it provides them with both food and water, and can be fed to baby dinosaurs. it would help dinosaurs grow healthier and keep them fuller for longer. Insulation - these camels can keep survivors warmer in different climates so they provide an insulation buff to the rider. Toxic Spit - these camels have adapted over time and I am not sure if its something the ark caused, but their saliva seems to have an effect that causes those who have been spat on to become super drowsy super fast, try not to get spit on to much or you will pass out. Weight reduction - when saddled its very impressive how much these camels are able to carry! they are very efficient in carrying things across long distances at ease. They have a weight reduction on all resources. Drops: Raw meat Hide Taming: So taming these creatures involves a silly little method. First you would want to make sure that you are in a safe area, if the area is not safe you would want to either clear the area or lure it to somewhere safe. They will be able to sense/smell the food you have for taming them. Then you actually want to anger it by by not giving it the food quick enough so it gets annoyed and spits on you, knocking you unconscious and then it will take some of the food from your inventory. you want to repeat this process until you have tamed it. then you will have your very own giant camel. Saddle Concept: Two different versions of saddles, One being a platform saddle which surviors can build upon.   2. Disclaimer: I am no artist so visual representation won't be super great, but hopefully my written descriptions will suffice! Also The species might not fit the time period qualifications for submission, but it does not need to be this ant species specifically. But in my head since this is extinction I figured the element corruption grew an ant on earth to a massive size, if that is not acceptable then just imagine it is a cousin species of the titanomyrma that underwent the same corruption process! Specific species isn't super important to me, I just think a ride-able ant in ark would be dope! Wild Spawn The Dinoponera Matriavastus is a creature you will never find on it's own. Because of this, they benefit from a pack bonus that gives a substantial damage reduction buff. When killed the Dinoponera drops a large amount of chitin and a small amount of meat. The Dinoponera workers spawn in the vicinity of a nest, which looks like a man sized anthill sticking out of the ground. Inside the nest is the Dinoponera queen, who will occasionally leave the nest to wander before returning into the tunnels. The Dinoponera is not aggressive to humans unless they get close to the nest and the queen. They share the same temperament to wild creatures except small creatures like dodos, lystros, etc, and they will consume corpses. Because the Dinoponera reproduces asexually, the species only contains females and all of the workers will be an identical level to their queen, so if you see mis-matched levels of workers it means another nest is nearby. The nest will act as a structure and is destroyable, when destroyed it forces the queen out and aggros her and all of the workers. Once the nest is destroyed all Dinoponera will stop spawning in the area and any existing Dinoponera will slowly despawn when out of render, so you can clear nests in the hopes of finding a higher level nest nearby in the future. Taming You first have to reach the nest without being detected by the workers. The queen can be coaxed out of the nest by dropping honey just outside of the nest, or you can wait for her to naturally emerge. Once the queen is out of the nest you must feed her bug repellent without drawing aggression. This will cause her to lose health quickly until she dies. Killing the queen this way will not aggro the workers. Once the queen is dead, access her inventory and remove her pheromone. Then apply the pheromone to yourself. If you currently are affected by bug repellent yourself, you must wait for the effects to wear off. Be careful of how long you wait, as the pheromone will spoil within a few minutes outside of her inventory. When you are affected by the pheromone, if you are attacked by any creature, nearby workers will come to your aid. This could help save your life, or get the workers killed by accident, so watch your surroundings. Once covered in the pheromone, approach a worker and it will give you a request for some kind of resource. It could be a basic material or a basic food, ie wood, stone, berries, raw meat, etc... Put this item in your last inventory slot and give it to the worker. The more of that item you have in a stack, the more tame progress will be made. So giving it a full stack of 100 wood will give it more tame progress than giving it a stack of 5. Continue filling the requests of the worker until the tame is complete and you have a Dinoponera! You can technically tame as many Dinoponera as there are in the area, but because you only have 30 minutes of pheromone you have to manage your time properly. Once the pheromone wears off, any wild Dinoponera in the area will instantly aggro on you. Breeding Unfortunately since you cannot tame the queen they would not breedable. But I have been debating whether or not they should be. Maybe a decent idea would be the ability to feed a worker certain items and it will transform into a queen, giving you the ability to have one that lays eggs. Possibly feeding a worker 1-5 queen pheromones will turn it into a queen? I'm still split on this part simply because I love breeding and getting mutations. Saddle Upon reaching level 35 you unlock the Dinoponera saddle, which is crafted in the smithy and costs: metal, hide, fiber, and chitin/keratin. This saddle would provide the usual 25 armor and visually would have slight armor plating and saddlebags all over it. It's saddle acts as a crafter, but not a smithy or mortar+pestle. This saddle is able to craft unlocked primitive engrams that would normally need to be crafted in your inventory. So primitive structures, certain saddles, and much more could be crafted on the move without the need for a blueprint. Utility Weight Reduction Once tamed, it is an exceptional beast of burden, capable of reducing the carry weight of wood, thatch, fiber, hide by -40% while reducing the carry weight of stone, metal, flint, obsidian, crystal by -35%! On top of that it reduces the carry weight of all structures by -50%! This makes it extremely useful when moving large quantities of supplies or setting up/moving to a new base location. It can gather wood, thatch, meat, hide, berries, and fiber, albeit at a relatively inefficient rate. Not the best for gathering, but will do in a pinch. Traversal & Mandibles It is able to climb walls and uneven terrain fairly quickly. Pressing the crouch key while riding a Dinoponera allows you to use it's mandibles to pick up certain things. It is capable of picking up and carrying storage boxes, similar to how the rhynio can carry structures. But the Dinoponera can only carry small storage boxes, large storage boxes, and vaults (vaults will act as a drag that I will talk about shortly). It's mandibles are also able to pick up and carry creatures. Anything with a drag weight of 100 or below can be picked up and carried. Not only that, but creatures that fit the weight can also be picked up and carried if they are dead or unconscious! The Dinoponera is also capable of dragging creatures with a drag weight of 101-300! The drag is quite different from the carry. With dragging, the Dinoponera can move heavier objects, but because of the weight, must focus all of it's strength moving it. Therefore when dragging heavier creatures and metal vaults, the Dinoponera can only walk backwards. But have no fear! The Dinoponera is capable of climbing up surfaces backwards, so you can still drag that unconscious Ankylo up a cliff! This can be quite useful to move knocked out creatures to a safer area for taming. It also has use as the ability can drag corpses, making you able to bring a corpse to a tame with better gathering efficiency or even transporting bodies to assist in Carchar taming! Although you would still need to drag the body closer to the Carchar yourself, the Dinoponera can move the corpse quickly from a further distance. Dinoponera Nectar Lastly, when 1 honey and 20 berries are placed into the inventory of a Dinoponera, it will convert the honey into a sweet and nutritious nectar that will provide +40 food as well as a 15% bonus to movement speed, stamina, and stamina regeneration for 15 minutes! The Dinoponera love this nectar and it can be fed to them as well, doubling the effectiveness of the nectar but for only half the time.

Common Name: Tor Species: Torvosaurus Time: Jurassic Diet: Carnivore Temperament: Opportunistic Wild: The Torvosaurus is a unique creature because it can create dust when it slams its tail on the ground, blinding other creatures and players for a few seconds. It also bounty hunts, meaning that if a creature has been killing a lot of other creatures, the Torvosaurus will challenge it to a fight to the death. If the Torvosaurus is losing, it will slam its tail on the ground and use its hair to create an electroshock pulse that blasts the creature to the ground. The Torvosaurus can also use its sharp claws to make creatures bleed and take them down. Taming: To tame a Torvosaurus, you need to kill many medium-sized herbivores and carnivores, like a carno or stego, to get its attention. Then, you need to challenge it and win. When you win, it will be on the ground, and you need to feed it prime meat or raw mutton. Abilities: The Torvosaurus has several abilities. First, it can slam its tail to create a cloud of dust, blinding any creature. Second, it can create an electroshock pulse to stun and hurt creatures. Finally, you can hide in its mouth to hide from other creatures since they don't typically attack the Torvosaurus.
  5. Iani Smithi. It's an iguanadontian, but being known for having teeth rather than a bill and a strong jaw I thought it could be a cool pack-type dino. Since Carnivores have been so popular and people want more herbivores this could be a good in between. Like they get a buff of bleed and the broken bone thing when either in a pack or given a certain food(rare flower/mushroom or beer). They would be more the size of raptors than the size of the normal iguanodon. This would also mean being less bulky and more offensive stat wise. The inspiration for it being an aggresive dino is it's name being inspired by Janus, the two-faced roman god. And it's name also relates to change, this being the map where Rockwell went through his big change I thought this would be a fitting addition. Since it would be for ab, it could keep the iguanodon skill of not using stam, while also being able to climb on vines/ropes like ravagers. Also being in ab it could take advantage of the glow effect. It would have patches of skin that could be very vibrant and it's special ability would be to glow very brightly for a short amount of time confusing big predators and scaring off small ones. This would give it time to escape because it isn't built for fighting larger dinos(if they wanted to make it stronger they could make it able to jump on large dinos like deinonychus or even climb walls 😂). It's passive skills would be the unlimited stam buff and a weight reduction on crystal, gems, and gas. One suggestion I've seen is to make it immune to stuns so that it could counter shadowmanes. They have a glow affect like glow pets/bugs. They are attracted to light so you could use lamps or flares to lead them where you want. To tame them you will need to beat them to low health. once they are low health they will glow brightly and run to the nearest source of light (lamp, flare, glowbug, glow pet, aberrant dino, fire) as a source of comfort and lay down. Once they lay down you can passive tame them. This would take the form of taking care of them by feeding them or petting them till tamed. As offense based herbivores they would be territorial like a Therizino or chalico. They would aggro to anything that gets too close. Common name: Tokummia Species: Tokummia katalepsis Time: Cambrian Diet: Omnivore Temperament: Passive Wild: Tokkumia katalepsis is a fascinating creature that can be found within most bodies of water within the ARK. A small scavenger, it devours anything that falls to the floor of the body of water its in. Occasionally, it may attack and eat smaller prey, but it ignores other animals for the most part. With its shell, it doesn't have to worry about predators, though they don't seem to pay much attention to them anyway. Despite their seeming insignificance, Tokummia are an important part of the ecosystems they inhabit, as they clean up any dead creatures that may find their way to the little critter. Domesticated: At first, I thought Tokkumia wouldn't be more than a mere pet, but I was completely wrong. Tokkumia is surprisingly intelligent, capable of being taught to collect certain items. It can also unlock doors and containers, useful for any would-be thief inhabiting the ARKs. I've even seen a few survivors teach it to refill troughs! Taming: Tokkumia would be tamed by dropping honey in front of it, and allowing it to consume it. Not very complicated, making them pretty easy to get. Uses: -Tokkumia would be capable of picking up items on the floor, including eggs, fertilized eggs, feces, achatina paste, etc. It can be selected in a menu, and the Tokkumia would wander a set area, going to and picking up any of the specific item that is in its range. It can be linked to a storage container, such as a vault, fridge, or storage box and the Tokkumia will bring the item to said storage container. In case the container fills up, it could possibly be linked to multiple containers. -Tokkumia can lock pick doors and structures only in PVP. This includes containers and other structures, of course. -Tokkumia can be linked to a container of food to refill troughs when it runs out. -Tokkumia is a shoulder pet, will give a weight reduction to all items in player's inventory -Tokkumia is ignored by wild creatures, so if any manage to get into your base, they won't be a threat to it. -Tokkumia doesn't have an oxygen stat, so it functions on land and in water. Obviously, it would be able to swim in water, allowing you to farm aquatic eggs. Ark has gone long enough without a creature that can automatically pick up egg, fertilized, eggs, achatina paste, feces, etc so that you can save time farming things.   7. Update: I have recently learned that the person behind the Ark Additions mod is close to finishing a Deinocheirus for his mod and it will be releasing soon, for his benefit dont upvote. I guess us console players gotta wait until august then Description and Abilities: In my opinion ark deserves a more powerful multi purpose creature, so let me introduce the Deinocheirus. The grand idea for Deinocheirus is more of a mid to late game tame for scorched earth that could be a beneficial due to the maps harsh climate and hostile creatures. This creature's most crucial feature will be its thick fur/feathering, which will provide the rider with an insulation buff as well as providing a natural damage resistance to the creature (nothing to broken probably 20-25%) but will provide heavy resistance towards wyvern breath attacks. If it come into contact with water it will produce a hydration buff that greatly reduces the need to drink. Another feature would be 3 separate attacks that provide 3 different purposes: 1. Bite: a pretty standard attack that can harvest berries/fibre from bushes, thatch from trees and hide from bodies. 2. Claw swipe: a more brutal attack that can cause bleed (even to bosses) as well as having wood and meat harvesting capabilities. 3. Body slam: An extremely powerful attack with a cool down that Involves a jump and a wwe style move that deals massive damage, stun, aswell as dismounting. Its two final abilities will be a weight reduction for harvested items and the longer it runs the more speed it picks up. For the size I believe being slightly bigger than the Allosaurus should be a fair bet. Behaviour and Taming: The behaviour for a wild Deinocheirus should be similar to that of the dire bear, passive for a few moments than extremely aggressive with the intention of killing. The Taming for this creature should be passive and requires a certain animation to interact. The general idea is it will wonder for a while and proceed to sit it will open its mouth and start panting, once this happens you walk up to it and feed it water to hydrate it, the colder the water the greater the effectiveness. Location: The location of this creature will be around or near the green obelisk since its a nice beautiful area, with the added bonus of an alpha variant that spawns out in the dunes of the desert. Its size has been estimated to be in the range of 3 to 5.5 meters (10 to 18 ft) long and approximately 380 kilograms (840 lb) in weight.This is my submission , I'm trying to do something unique ish... Taming This creature will be a knockout tame, it will require a different type of food with every feed, somewhat like the moschops,but it won't eat meat. Saddle. It will have a saddle like an Ankylosaurus, but it will have a protective cage to protect the player. Abilities. 1. body slam, creature jumps forward and slams into enemies. 2. tail spike, creature will use it's tail to throw spikes, kinda like the thorny dragon, but the spikes will cause a bleed effect instead of torpor. 3. Bite, just a standard bite. 4. Roll, it will roll like a dodicuris to harvest things like sulfur, crystal and obsidian . 5. Weight reduction of all resources and eggs, except for fiber. 6. Turret mode, can be placed somewhere and put into turret mode,and they will attack enemies. Drops. 1. Hide. 2.Raw meat 3. Cooked prime meat. 4.   9. Out little friend from walking with dinosaurs is entering the running. After being apart of the 10% of life on earth that survived the great dying it wishes to try it's luck on the scorched wasteland. Common Name: Thrinaxodon Species Name:Thrinaxodon liorhinus Temperament: Passive/ Evasive Wild: Thrinaxodon contrary to it's small size is one of the most hardy creatures on the ark. Being able to live is almost any environment and with little resources. This creature is also very skittish causing it to burrow into the ground when any agressive creature get within 20 meters of it and not emerge till they have left 50 meter from it. Some creatures can scare them out of their burrow including sand worms and other burrowing creatures as well as Trex, Shadow Mane, Mammoth and yutryrus roars. This can make them hard to find as they spend much of their time underground. These creatures will either be found alone or in pairs. These creatures can be found all over the map. Taming: The taming of these creatures is rather simple you must first find a burrowed Thrinaxodon then you must leave meat at the entrance to the burrow that will start the taming. Once that has been done you must kill all agressive creatures within a 50 meter radius of the creature. Once this is complete the Thrinaxodon will emerge and eat the meat this will complete the tame the type and amount of meat will determine the effectiveness of the tame. Regular Kimble works the best. Domesticated: The Thrinaxodon isn't known as a survivor for nothing once taming this creature will die of hunger and thrist at half the rate as other creatures it also heals 1.5 times as fast as normal creatures. However that is not why you would tame it, once tamed this creature can be put on your shoulder and when this happens Thrinaxodon will also turn you into the ultimate survivor. This is done by two ways all healing items in Thrinaxodons inventory, weight is cut in half. Thrinaxodon also has the ability to give you any consumable item from its inventory allowing it to heal you in the middle of combat while your still swinging your sword. This is were it's power shines any consumable item put into its inventory it can give you. It prioritizes the items in this way Healing items, Food, Narcotics. The healing given by these items also gets a passive 1.1 boost in healing amount. If these creatures are on your shoulder when your are killed, they will immediately burrow into the ground only able to be brought up by the aforementioned ways to get it out of its burrow or you coming to get it.   10. The Unenlagia is a Dromaeosaur, similar to the Raptor. Slightly smaller than it's cousin and sporting a beak with teeth instead of a stubby muzzle, this ferocious pack hunter sports the abilty to completely bypass the natural armor of even the toughest of Scorched Earths Mega Fauna when in a pack of 3 or more. Unable to be ridden, they are best used as defense while traversing the burning sands of their desert home. A specialized pack allows them to carry ammo at half the weight while also providing armor.
