  1. Authors Amanit and MUSH1 Hello survivors, I present to you the Rajasaurus. It seems to me that the game currently lacks dinosaurs that could give buffs to allies. Rajasaurus would become a faithful assistant for any player, as he is able to increase the maximum weight of allies in a certain radius from him as a percentage. Also, the Rajasaurus itself has a high maximum carry weight. In addition to passive abilities, he is distinguished by a debilitating bite and a special roar, but first things first. Basic information: Common Name: Rajasaurus Species: Rajasaurus narmadensis Time: Late Cretaceous Diet: Сarnivor Temperament: Aggressive Wild This large theropod can be easily identified by its powerful hind limbs and a single horn on its forehead. Rajasaurs tend to migrate frequently, covering great distances. For representatives of their kind, they are very calm, but if you lose your vigilance, you can easily say goodbye to life. His bites quickly exhaust the victim to such an extent that by the end of the fight she cannot even stand up. If the Rajasaurus is severely wounded, it lets out a loud scream and quickly runs away. Domesticated Rajasaurus is highly valued among nomadic tribes. His resilience in travel lends strength to surrounding allies, and they can carry heavy loads more easily. If the caravan is attacked by predators or bandits, the Rajasaurus emits its trademark roar, which helps allies to flee or defend themselves. Saddle: The Rajasaurus saddle has no special properties. Drops: Hide Raw meat Raw prime meat Passive Abilities: • Rajasaurus has a high maximum carry weight, and this indicator improves better than others. • Rajasaurus has an aura that increases the maximum carry weight of allies. The percentage by which the maximum carry weight increases and the radius of the ability can be improved in the characteristics of the dinosaur (they are improved separately from each other). The higher the level of a wild Rajasaurus, the higher these characteristics. However, it will be quite difficult to improve these characteristics, so do not flatter yourself. The weight increase effect will continue to work after exiting the Rajasaurus aura, but only for 15 seconds. Active abilities: •- Bite strike that reduces the target's maximum carry weight . Each bite on the target reduces the maximum carry weight by 5% for 10 seconds. The effect is such that the maximum carry weight cannot be reduced by more than 80%. If the target is a wild creature, then its speed is correspondingly reduced by 5% per bite for 10 seconds, up to 80%. Bite damage base 45 HP. With a bite, the Rajasaurus dismantles corpses, receiving such resources as: Hide Raw meat Raw prime meat Keratin Chitin Raw fish Raw prime fish Organic polymer Pelt • - the roar that increases the speed and reduces the consumption of endurance of allies who are close to the rajasaurus, and the rajasaurus itself . The effectiveness of the buff depends on the state of health of the rajasaurus: 100% - 80% HP - +5% speed and +5% reduction in stamina consumption; 80% - 60% HP - +15% speed and +15% reduction in stamina consumption; 60% - 40% HP - 20% speed and 20% reduction in stamina consumption; 40% - 20% HP - 25% speed and 25% reduction in stamina consumption; 20% - 1% HP - 30% speed and 30% reduction in stamina consumption. The roar effect lasts 45 seconds, and the roar itself has a 30 second cooldown. [C] - menacing roar. It has no function other than aesthetic. •[Left-Ctrl] - Rajasaurus uses its strong legs to extract resources in small quantities, namely: Fiber Thatch Wood Taming: The taming of the Rajasaurus is standard, forced (Your suggestions are welcome). However, once the stun hits 70%, it will let out its signature roar and its speed will increase by 30%, so to stun it, you have to be on a fast creature or trap it beforehand. Rajasaurus stun decays faster than others. Favorite food: Extraordinary kibble Raw lamb Breeding: Breeding in Rajasaurus is standard, but the maturation of a young individual differs from other creatures. Young Rajasaurs are very moody and require attention more often than other creatures (once every 4 hours). For one fulfilled desire, affection is filled by 20%. However, every time the time for a new desire comes, the little Rajasaurus will start screaming loudly, and it will continue to do so even after the attachment reaches 100%. If you ignore the desires of the Rajasaurus, then after a while his affection will begin to sink, so do not make his majesty wait long. Approximate base specs: Health: 700 Stamina: 450 Oxygen: 150 Food: 2600 Weight: 800 Additional Information: Rajasaurus can carry: Wyvern Quetzalcoatl Tusoteuthis Affected: Large Bear Trap Can damage: Thatch Wooden Possible uses for Rajasaurus: Buffer, which will become a faithful assistant in the extraction of any resources, as you can carry much more at a time. • Improvement for the base. Putting the Rajasaurus in the center of the base will make it easier for the tribe members and their creatures to move around. • Fighting pet. Its unique abilities will help its masters in combat, as the Rajasaurus will force opponents to stand like pillars, and its accelerating roar will help allies escape in case of danger or catch up with a fast target. • Resource collector. Rajasaurus has a large weight and is able to extract straw, wood and fiber, therefore it can act as a resource collector. • Good vehicle. While on the Rajasaurus, you can escape most creatures by slowing them with a debilitating bite and using a roar. However, the Rajasaurus itself is a fairly fast creature. It seems to me that the use of most creatures in the ARK is limited only by the fantasy of the survivors, so you can always experiment). Thank you all for your attention! You can learn about the real Rajasaurus here: https://ru.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rajasaurus
  2. (I promise that now is the last time you will see this boy from me.) "let's do this one last time" Guanlong Wucaii is a species of dinosaur that lived at the end of the Jurassic period, approximately 156 million years ago, in Asia. Its name means "Crown Dragon" due to the crest on its head, This was one of the first species of Tyrannosaurus, unlike this one, it had three fingers on its front legs instead of the two already known from the rex. From its hind legs you can see that it was a fairly fast and agile predator. Before we talk about its abilities, I'd like to highlight a couple of basic things I'd like this creature to have: -Its base Health is similar to that of a Thyla -Low weight: it is a light and fast animal, it cannot carry so much weight. -His skills use a lot of energy -It has a moderate base attack, but makes up for it with a 5 second duration bleed, which doesn't stack, but does reset after each attack. -is one of the fastest creatures on the Ark WILD: The creature will appear in the wild in groups of 3, which, like Raptor or Deinonychus, will have an alpha which will be the highest level Guanlong. When Guanlong detects a player, two things can happen, first: If guanlong is not in the player's field of vision, it will imitate a random roar of the strongest creatures on the island such as Rex, Carcha or Giga, in the case of being in the player's field of vision, Guanlong will begin to attack the player directly. Domestication: To tame a Guanlong, you must avoid being detected by it, be it with a camouflage suit or a hot soup, then you must separate it from its group, either killing them or distracting them, having him far enough away from his group, you must feed him rotten meat, which will raise his unconsciousness until he sleeps, after that just feed it meat until it is tamed. Tamed: He has a pack roar, when using it he receives 15% speed and 25% attack, it lasts about 100 seconds, but has a 30 second cooldown. Guanlong can emit high and low frequency sounds, it can even imitate animal sounds, the latter can be used to intimidate or annoy survivors with terrifying roars, or to specifically attract large creatures, such as Carcharodontosaurus or Yutyrannus, which will target Guanlong and start chasing him, which is perfect for putting creatures into traps or making it possible for another player to shoot at it from another side. High and low frequency sounds can make a big difference in PVP or PVE, as they will stun large and small creatures for a short amount of time, depending on the animal that you want to stun, you must raise or lower the sound frequency, the bigger the animal, the less stun time it will have, for example, a Giga would be stunned for 2.5 to 3 seconds, a Titanosaur might be stunned for 2 seconds, a Raptor for 9 seconds and a Dodo for 15 seconds (although I don't know why you would attack a Dodo), obviously this ability will have a cooldown of 20-30 seconds. Guanlong can also buff his allies using his ability, giving them 30% more stamina for 12 seconds. but then you may wonder: What happens if we put many guanlongs in a row? During the cooling time a player could get off one, and get on another... but the solution I came up with is the following: if there are more than 3 Guanlongs in an area (I didn't think of a specific radius), and one uses its sound ability, the rest of the Guanlongs will be stunned for twice as long as the stunned enemy creature, if there are only 3 guanlongs in the area, and one is on cooldown, when you get on another and use its ability, it will stun the enemy for 25% less time, in addition to depleting three times the stamina of the Guanlong used. Here a dossier that I had done a long time ago sorry for my bad english...again (and again)
  3. TIRED OFMBEING STUCK IN PVP (AKA REAL ARK) WITH ONLY CARHCAR TO FULFILL YOUR NEEDS OF A MASSIVE CARNIVORE? NOW WE HAVE THE OP MONSTER WE NEED! Siamotyrannus Species: Siamotyrannus rex Time: Early Cretaceous Diet: Carnivore Temperament: Blood-thirsty Wild: At first, I thought that Charcharodontosaurus was the biggest meat-eater on the ARKs. That was before I came across the Siamotyrannus. Nearly twice the size of a Titanosaur, the Siamotyrannus is probably the largest animal on Extinction, other than some of the Titans. The Siamotyrannus uses its great power to feed on Carchars and Titanosaurs smaller Titans regularly. Domesticated: The Siamotyrannus can only be tamed by striking or shooting at its skull with a Mega MEK. The Siamotyrannus makes an excellent war beast. It uses a blast of sonic energy when roaring, causing small creatures to die and even TEK structures to shatter. Taming. The Siamotyrannus actually spawns in the Red Zone and the Forburg on Extinction. It can only be knocked out by shooting at and slashing its skull with a Mega Mek. Abilities. 1. The Siamotyrannus makes a bite attack with 90,000 base damage. 2. The Siamotyrannus makes a tail sweep attack with 60,000 base damage. 3. The Siamotyrannus makes a stomp attack with 70,000 base damage and stuns the target. 4. The Siamotyrannus makes a sonic blast with its roar, automatically stunning all Giga sized or larger creatures and dealing 100,000 damage. Creatures smaller than a Giga die immediately. This attack also damages TEK structures. 5. This attack creates a map wide explosion with a roar and a stomp. Everything that isn't an ally dies on the map. This attack of moderate power can be a little useful.
  4. Dossier Concept made by me Info: Species: Saurophaganax coronatus Time: Late Jurassic Diet: Carnivore Temperament: Cruel Tameable: Yes Rideable: Yes Breedable: Unknown Taming Method: Knockout Prefered Food: Corrupted Heart Size Comparison Wild: Saurophaganax has a 30% chance to spawn instead of a Rex in the wasteland of Extinction. This species is very dangerous as it hunts down almost anything it sees. But Saurophaganax doesn't just hunt you down. Once it catches you, it will torment you by throwing you around like a chew toy and pinning you on the ground scratching at you. Eventually, the Saurophaganax will kill you or your mount after it’s done tormenting it. Saurophaganax also has poisonous quills on its tail and while they can’t be shot out like a Thorny Dragons, they will swing their tail causing its target to be poisoned. Saurophaganax also targets Corrupted creatures more often than normal creatures. Taming: Saurophaganax has a unique taming method. In order to render it unconscious you must first allow it to pin you to the ground with its feet or pick you up in its mouth. From there you have to set C4 on it and make it explode. Each explosion deals a bit of torpor. Continue until the predator is unconscious. The preferred taming food of Saurophaganax are Corrupted Hearts (Corrupted Nodules and Organic Polymer also work but it destroys the taming effectiveness). Once Tamed: Saurophaganax can be saddled at level 85. While it isn’t as big or as strong as a Giga, it’s much faster. Saurophaganax deals increased damage to corrupted creatures, defense units, MEKs, and enforcers. It can also use its claws to harvest massive amounts of element from the nodes in the wastelands. Controls: Left Click- Bite Right Click- Claw Attack (gathers element) C- Jaw Grasp (carries small to medium creatures) X- Foot Pin (holds down small creatures) Z- Tail Attack (deals poison) Ctrl- Roar for aesthetics aesthetics VOTE FOR SAUROPHAGANAX!!!!
  5. Greetings, survivor. You see before you the Mei long, a dinosaur designed for our return to Earth in Extinction. This creature is fused with the power of element, allowing it to absorb the destruction many attempt to cause with this dangerous material. Who knew that this small, sleeping dragon could bring so much balance to the world scrouged by Titans? Presenting the Mei long aka Sleeping Dragon… Friends, I believe this is what we need to finally get a useful shoulder pet into the game. We’ve already gotten our share of big carnivores and OP dinosaurs (not that they aren’t cool, mind you). The use of shoulder pets has been overlooked in these creature votes, so lets finally get one into the finals. Thank you for your support. Artwork. Common name: MEI Species: Mei long Time: Early Cretaceous Diet: Carnivore Temperament: Aggressive (tired) In the Wild. The Mei is small dinosaur. Although aggressive toward survivors and other small creatures, they are also at risk themselves of attack from large carnivores like Tyrannosaurus rex. Mei spawn in around the Snow Biodome, the Wastelands, and also the Sunken Forest, but more rarely in the latter. The power of balance the Mei has prevents it from being corrupted by Element, so Corrupted Mei cannot be found. Wild Behavior. In the wild, Mei usually spawns in groups of 2, increasing the chance of being killed by attackers. Although they will attack smaller creatures, they will flee if attacked by a larger creature. The aggro range is small, around the same size as a Theri’s. Occasionally, if a Mei has not taken damage or slept for the last 2 minutes, it can go to sleep. If the “sleeping dragon” goes to sleep, it will curl up and cease to aggro onto anything. While sleeping, it regains health 10 times faster than normal, as well as recharge any lost Endurance (see below). After two minutes, or after being damaged by anything, the Mei will immediately wake, and begin aggroing or fleeing as normal. Taming + Food. To tame a Mei, you must wait until it is sleeping. It is suggested that survivors watch from a distance, and killing off Mei predators will help prevent it from dying easily or being attacked in its sleep. While a Mei is sleeping, you must approach and pet the sleeping Mei by pressing [E] like normal. This will begin the taming tracker. After petting a Mei, you must wait for it to wake up and fall asleep again to pet it again (wait from a safe distance, preferably). Make sure no predators are nearby. Not only can they potentially kill the Mei, but damaged Mei also wait longer to fall asleep, and therefore increase the time it takes to tame. Damage only ruins taming effectiveness if inflicted onto the Mei while it is asleep – damage to an awake Mei does not ruin taming effectiveness. Food. Although food is not required to tame the Mei, it is still a carnivore. It must eat meat just like any other carnivore. It IS pretty efficient at harvesting hide and meat, especially considering it’s a shoulder pet. Breeding. A baby Mei automatically inherits the highest stamina stat from its parents. This is to increase its level of Endurance (see below). Other stats are random as normal. The Mei are born in eggs like any other dinosaur, and they cannot breed while asleep (see below) Appearance. Mei long is on the colorful side of things. They are densely feathered, with colors ranging from, white, grey, greens, black, and purples. The majority of their body is one color region, meaning Mei is mostly one color, with different colors in little stripes or spots on its tail, head, or arms. Egg Color. The color of a Mei’s egg is dark purple with black spots. Attacks/Abilities. Primary Attack: The primary attack of the Mei is a claw slash and bite. Its base damage is 25. Endurance. The Mei long can absorb Elemental attacks directed toward allied Mei in the wild, or allied creatures tamed. While tamed, this effect only works while mounted on a survivor. The Mei automatically absorbs 50% of damage from any Element based attack dealt to an allied creature within range. This includes attacks made by Titans (not titanosaurs), TEK weapons, MEKs, and Corrupted and TEK Creatures. The absorbed damage is instead dealt to the Mei’s Endurance. Via the option wheel you can set the Mei to absorb “only damage on creatures”, “only damage on survivors”, or to not absorb damage at all. The base Endurance for the Mei is 100. For each level into Stamina (wild or while tame), the Endurance stat increases by 100 for the first level, and then 50 more for each level from then on. Example: First Stamina level increases Endurance by 100, next by 150, next by 200, next increases it by 250, and so on. There is no limit to the Endurance a Mei can have. If the Mei does not have enough Endurance to absorb 50% of an attack, it instead absorbs what damage it can with its last Endurance. When Endurance is at 0, the Mei is automatically set to “absorb no damage”. Endurance does not regenerate unless the sleeping dragon sleeps… Sleep. Much like telling a Chalicothere to sit, you can force the sleeping dragon to sleep via the option wheel. While asleep, Endurance regenerates at 10 Endurance per second. A sleeping Mei also regenerates health 1000% times quicker than normal. Wild Mei have Endurance much like a tamed Mei, except they cannot be set to “absorb no damage”, unless they run out of Endurance. Wild Mei regain Endurance while sleeping the same as a tamed Mei. Element Dust. Tamed Mei long can have Element Dust placed into their inventory. If a Mei long is sleeping with Element Dust, it will automatically consume the Dust at a rate of 1 per 10 seconds. Each consumed Element Dust increases the Endurance and Health regained by 5000% for the next 10 seconds. If a Mei long wakes from a sleep in which it consumed at least 1 Element Dust, it will become affected by the Element Fury condition. This condition causes it to glow white and lose 1% of its max Health value every 1 second. Element Fury lasts for 24 hours (real-time). The Mei also has a 50% chance of losing Element Fury if it is force-fed Blue Crystalized Sap while sleeping. This sap pleases the Mei and allows the corrupting powers of Element to flee from the Mei’s nervous system.
  6. Concept Art not made my me but made by Maxolotl on discord! (Huge thanks!) Name: Saurophaganax maximus Diet: carnivore Temperament: aggressive Wild Saurophaganax Maximus may be one of the most terrifying creatures any survivor could come accross in the ARK. These creatures are almost the size of a rex. However, I have yet to see any of the beasts out in the daytime and even in the nighttime are almost impossible to spot due to their almost completely invisible camouflage. Saurophaganax are very fast active hunters and are constantly looking for their next prey. This habit contributes to their constant frothing with blood at their mouths (which i have concluded to be the sign of a healthy Saurophaganax!). Most sightings of this creature have been seen stalking their prey in pairs consisting of a male and female. They seem to live in caves shallow caves near Volcanoes, in forests, and near mountains. Taming Method Getting your hands on a Saurophaganax is not a run-of-the-mill task. First you will have to kill these creatures in order to get enough samples of a special type of blood they give. Next you will have to find a wild baby Saurophaganax. The babies are always found in the nighttime and always alone. But once found the babies could either be aggressive or skittish (more on that below). Next you will have to passively feed it the special Saurophaganax blood, and soon you will have a killing machine in your tribe! Wild Baby Temperament Wild Baby Saurophaganax have two temperaments: Aggressive or Skittish. Aggressive babies will immediately attack you on sight and just like their parents posses a very gashing bleed. Skittish babies however will all the time decide to run away if spotted by a survivor (I recommend wearing a gillie suit for these types!). There are some differences between these two personalities. An aggressive baby will usually mean a higher attack damage, while a Skittish baby will have a higher health or stamina stat in the wild. To feed a aggressive baby you will need to weaken it significantly and then it will become passive, allowing you to feed it. A skittish baby will require you to be sneaky and feed it the blood passively. Raising Once tamed the Saurophaganax adults and babies will stop frothing blood and will be replaced with saliva. However, they don't seem to listen to any whistle commands and are to always hyper aggressive! The only way to keep a Saurophaganax in check is by making a special muzzle made out of metal. This muzzle restricts all biting attacks and will set them to passive or neutral. (Muzzle concept) While raising, the baby will request a many types of foods to feed and imprint them. These foods include: raw meat, prime meat, chitin, argentavis talons, raw fish meat, raw prime fish meat, honey, superior kibble, and Saurophaganax blood. (Will rarely ask for cuddles and walks and food requests cannot be changed via cryopods). Attacks & abilities Saurophaganax has many Attacks and abilities at to give you the upper hand in battle! Bite Abilities Feeding these to your Saurophaganax will give different effects to your Saurophaganax’s standard bite. These effects remain until fed any kind of berry. Saurophaganax blood: Your tamed Saurophaganax will begin to froth blood and deliver a gashing bleed with its bite. Raw Metal: Your tamed Saurophaganax will stop frothing at the mouth with and have metallic teeth. Allowing it to deal even greater damage than before. Drinking lava: You will drink lava and take some burning damage. After the burning subsides, the Saurophaganax will begin frothing lava and be will be able to deal fire damage along with its bite. Narcotics: You will start frothing a sort of Toxin and be able to deal torpor however significantly lower your damage. Bloodthirsty Rage At nighttime a bar will appear above your hotbar and will fill up the more standard damage you do. Once filled, you will be able to activate your rage. Rage mode increases damage, speed, and reduces projectile damage for 3 mins. Once it runs out, your stamina will completely deplete and will take longer to regenerate. Cooldown is 5 mins. Attacks: Bite - bite with the standard or different effects Claw swipes - will deliver two swipes with both claws Stomp - will stop twice dealing high damage Camouflage - an almost completely invisible camouflage Roar - a sick roar for aesthetics B) Hello all! This is my 1st time ever doing something like this so feel free to send any feedback or suggestions for this creature. THANKS FOR READING!
  8. While Ceratosaurus has been added to Ark Additions, rather than suggesting a concept on Ceratosaurus for its inclusion in Ark Survival Ascended on the Center map, my team and I have suggested the inclusion of a different yet once considered “controversial” species of Ceratosaurid from Argentina, known as Genyodectes. Common Name: Genyodectes Species: Genyodectes anoteros Time: Early Cretaceous Period Diet: Carnivore Temperament: Opportunistic Tameable: Yes Rideable: Yes Breedable: Yes Torpidity Immune: No Taming Method: Passive & Knockout Preferred Kibble: Superior Preferred Food: Raw Mutton Equipment: “Genyodectes Saddle” (Level 54- Crafted at either a Smithy or on an Argentavis saddle) Rider Weaponry: Yes Humans Can Carry: No Genyodectes artistic depiction designed by Deviantart user kingrexy at https://www.deviantart.com/kingrexy/art/Genyodectes-815452228 Wild "Across the plains, marshes, estuaries and transition zones of open woodlands throughout the Center, these habitats are the ideal hunting grounds for Genyodectes anoteros. This solitary hunter of small to medium-sized prey, this Ceratosaurid theropod is an adaptable ecological specialist, able to alter its diet depending on environmental conditions and thrive in semi-aquatic habitats”. "With its niche radiation across the Center, it is no wonder that its endurance and brute force are unmatched. Being able to stalk prey in the shadows without making a sound, combined with its agile nature, a robust skull design that is enforced by specialised jaw muscles and serrated teeth. Any prey that tries to escape from its grasp will experience a terrible fate, teeth designed to dig deeper into the flesh with every struggle. Causing mass haemorrhaging, and acting like a natural bear trap”. Domesticated "A sight to behold with its quick, keen and adept capabilities, in order to catch one or probably sneak up on the ambush expert are difficulties that most survivors consider not worth the challenge. However, rather than depending on a social hierarchy, nocturnal behaviour or sheer force, this flexible, smart, semi-aquatic and opportunistic predator appears more than just a perceived savage forager. Rather, a widespread top-predator at the top of its domain”. - Helena Walker Anatomy https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Genyodectes#/media/File:Genyodectes_saurus_jaws.jpg Discovered in 1901 by English Palaeontologist Sir Arthur Smith Woodward from the Cerro Barcino Formation also known as the Gorro Frigio Formation in the Chubut Province of Argentina. The holotype uncovered that belonged to Genyodectes consisted of an incomplete snout with the premaxilla, contents from both maxillas of the skull, the right and left dentary or the lower jawbone, numerous long, curved teeth, a fragment of the left splenial and bones above the dentary (the supradentaries). These were the only skeletal pieces known of this organism which was the second non-avian dinosaur excavated from South America. https://www.deviantart.com/jorobania/art/Genyodectes-skull-reconstruction-934358036 Genyodectes was not originally designated as a Ceratosaurus and rather as a nomen dubium or an “unknown application” of theropod, which over a span of a hundred years of argumentation over fragmented evidence. Genyodectes would be designated its own genus containing one type species known as Genyodectes serus. Genyodectes (which originates from the words "jaw" and "bite" in Greek) became a major significant specimen of dinosauria uncovered from South America, being the most complete known South American theropod species until the 1970s. However, from 2000 to 2010, Genyodectes would be argued towards its ecological placement in the taxonomic order, with some arguing it was a megalosaurid, a tyrannosaurid, a “incertae sedis” and an abelisaurid (a senior synonym of Abelisaurus). In 2004, Oliver W. M. Rauhut concluded its taxonomic placement, primarily with reevaluation of the specimen. Genyodectes serus lacked important abelisaurid and tyrannosaurid synapomorphies that were shared by two or more taxa, primarily those with neoceratosaurian traits. This implied that Genyodectes was closer to and possibly descended from theropods related to the Late Jurassic Ceratosaurus than other derived abelisaurids. Rauhut specified “that the premaxillary teeth are arranged in an overlapping en echelon pattern with the longest maxillary teeth crowns no longer apicobasally than the minimal dorsoventral depth of the mandible. Differing from Ceratosaurus in the presence of four, as opposed to three, premaxillary teeth”, according to https://www.researchgate.net/publication/235907356_Provenance_and_anatomy_of_Genyodectes_serus_a_large-toothed_Ceratosaur_Dinosauria_Theropoda_from_Patagonia. https://ars.els-cdn.com/content/image/1-s2.0-S0895981116301341-gr1.jpg and https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S0895981116301341 The paleoenvironment of Genyodectes from the Early to Late Cretaceous Cerro Barcino Formation within the Cerro Castaño stratigraphic member unit (the member is 113 to 100.5 million years old- Genyodectes is estimated to have existed from 112 million years ago) that contains evidence of humid flood-plain like conditions. This environment allowed for a wide array of fauna to thrive, including the Peirosaurid Barcinosuchus gradilis, the Gigantosaurin Carcharodontosaurid known as Tyrannotitan chubutensis, titanosaurids such as the lognkosaur Patagotitan mayorum (which existed 101.62 million years ago), Chubutisaurus insignis, abelisaurus remains, Lepidosaur reptiles like Kaikaifilusaurus minimus, and Testudinata turtles such as Chubutemys copelloi and Prochelidella cerrobarcinae. Design, Behaviour and AI The first way to make Genyodectes a unique dinosaur when compared to in-game and current therapods would be in both its wild and domesticated behaviour. This would make first encounters with Genyodectes unique and possibly memorable. The below concept art was created by myself (MonstersHunters) as a basic sketch on the suggested behaviours. A Genyodectes outmanoeuvring a Parasaurolophus - Illustrated by MonstersHunters The movement of Genyodectes should be different from other predators currently in Ark. Built for flat habitats such as estuaries, flood-meadows and marshes, a Genyodectes will lock onto prey and begin chasing it. However, it will bend and turn (serpentine) in a random ordeal to outmanoeuvre and confuse its prey, allowing it to ensnare or outpace its prey target given the environment (the Center has a large amount of cliffs, waterfalls and hillsides, which can be used as either ideal or avoidable recommendations for hunting depending on the individual Genyodectes). This behaviour I believe would work better than continuing with the simple biting and mauling its prey in a simple hitbox locked-on fashion like a majority of the creatures currently in Ark, while also making Genyodectes unique from other theropods in a single process. A Genyodectes grabbing and crushing a Pachycephalosaurus - Illustrated by MonstersHunters Similar to Kaprosuchus and Sarcosuchus, when Genyodectes grabs a prey item (ranging from a Compsognathus to a Human in size), both its teeth and specialised jaw muscles snap shut and lock the prey item in place. Immediately causing haemorrhaging and internal bleeding. Genyodectes would have fed on small ornithischians, mammals, possibly fish and fast-moving prey sources in its Early Cretaceous environment in the floodplains of South America. Using its robust head and jaw anatomy designed and specialised for biting and stopping prey in their tracks. The proximity based recognition of a Wild Genyodectes - Illustrated by MonstersHunters When wild Genyodectes are hunting or are preparing to ambush a target, its AI will lock onto the smallest, weakest or slowest target in a given range. To be realistic to an extent, Genyodectes like most therapods would probably take advantage of specific (slower, smaller, weaker or injured) prey sources (being opportunistic). In the above image, rather than targeting or locking onto an Iguanodon or a Gallimimus, a smaller prey item that can’t fight back or run away such as a Pegomastax would be a desired prey item. A Genyodectes scaring a pair of Utahraptors off a Stegosaurid Carcass - Illustrated by MonstersHunters The next key behavioural factor present in both wild and domesticated Genyodectes, would be its ability to kick smaller therapods off of caracesses and carrion. Applying to all non-avian theropods in nature, Ceratosaurus and Genyodectes were not full-time scavengers like vultures. Though In a majority of recent pop culture and TV-show depictions of this theropod family, Ceratosaurus itself is portrayed as either a weaker and more “useless” theropod in its paleoenvironment or as scavenger (in reality, pterosaurs would have most likely have filled scavenger-related roles) of the carcasses from larger theropods such as Saurophaganax, Torvosaurus, Lourinhanosaurus or Allosaurus (or Tyrannotitan and abelisaurids in the case of Genyodectes). When given the opportunity, Genyodectes will threaten and force smaller scavengers ranging from compys to ravagers off of non-harvested caresses or injured prey items (applying a temporary debuff somewhat similar to the Yutyrannus Terror/Fear ability). A Genyodectes fishing for a Coelacanth - Illustrated by MonstersHunters The final key behavioural factor is a behavioural ability, applied to Ceratosaurids in general. Proposals in 2004 by Robert Baker and Gary Bir, and challenged in 2019 by Chan-gyn Yun, the body of Ceratosaurus was long, flexible and low to the ground, coupled with tall vertical neural spines and deep chevron bones on the underside of its tail. Ceratosaurus would have had a crocodile-like tail that convergently would have been used towards swimming in times of ecological changes. When desired prey sources such as sauropods or stegosaurids were no longer abundant/absent in a surrounding habitat, Ceratosaurus could switch its niche or diet plan towards hunting aquatic prey items like lungfish (Ceratosaurus teeth are abundant in excavation points where prehistoric lungfish specimens have been recovered in the Morrison Formation) depending on the surrounding changes in available prey sources, or the environment the Ceratosaurus adapted to. While this is present in Ceratosaurus, Genyodectes has been uncovered from the Cerro Barcino Formation in the Chubut Province of Argentina. This formation contains member layers from different geographical positions that provide time estimates from the Early Cretaceous, specifically in this case, the Cerro Castaño that contains evidence of humid flood-plain like conditions that could have seen Genyodectes perform niche partitioning by having a wide-ecological collection of prey items. This means that Genyodectes could have possibly been semi-aquatic. Also in the scenario that future evidence proves these theories wrong, it is a unique speculative concept that could be incorporated into a fictional species of Genyodectes for Ark. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- For the design, Genyodectes should have the above behavioural traits adapted into its final design, but should also appear slightly larger in size (about 2 to 3 feet taller), mainly due its niche diversity in the Center ecosystem that resulted in a larger size, as well as having to compete with other fictional species of predators: https://everythingdinosaurs.weebly.com/genyodectes.html Genyodectes could also features present in other Ceratosaurids like the Italian ceratosaurid Saltriovenator and Ceratosaurus in its design: A Great Artistic Recreation of Saltriovenator by Brennan Stokkermans at https://brennanstokkermans.artstation.com/projects/w82zxL. and A detailed 3d sculpt model of Ceratosaurus by 3D Artist Jonathan Harris at https://www.artstation.com/artwork/nQDPB4 Note that one key detail present in both illustrations or depictions of Ceratosaurid theropods is the inclusion of a layer of skin that covered the teeth, essentially a false “lip”. Another way to distinguish Genyodectes anoteros is through these small details. A large majority of Ark Survival Evolved’s current theropod dinosaurs either lack reptilian-like “lips” (not true lips like those in mammals) such as the Rex, Spinosaurus, Utahraptor, Giganotosaurus and Allosaurus, or are semi-lipped like the Megalosaurus, Carcharodontosaurus and Carnotaurus. To oversimplify, skin coverings would have been present on most theropods, birds (skin coverings are present in some birds like eagles, emus, rheas, secretary birds, crested caracara and puffins which do lack teeth, but have these forms of extra oral tissue) and reptiles (such as monitor lizards, tuatara, agamids, geckos and iguanas - excluding crocodilians) to protect the outer enamel and parts of the tooth from outside elements that could cause wear and tear or destroy the tooth. To constantly replace damaged teeth would be taxing on these dinosaurs, so after much debate in the paleontological community, skin coverings over the teeth have been speculated and specified to have existed in theropods ranging from Spinosaurids to Dromaeosaurids and Abelisaurids (including Ceratosaurids). Genyodectes anoteros males should have a unique or vibrant crest display as a form of sexual display. The tails in both males and females should also be muscular and large in relation to their adaptive radiation from a terrestrial to semi-aquatic swift/agility based lifestyle. Its legs and body plan should be designed or intended towards outrunning or outmanoeuvring prey, similar to its behavioural factors. This means a lower to the ground body posture with a long and flexible torso region coupled with proportionally yet muscular sized legs to carry its estimated 905 kilograms (1995.18 pounds) in weight (in 2016, Genyodectes serus was estimated to be 6.25 metres in length and 790 kilograms (1741.65 pounds/lb) in weight. Ceratosaurus’s weight was calculated at 980 kgs or 2160.53 lbs in maximum weight. The fictional species should be somewhere in between both estimates). A final detail would be that Genyodectes should have a randomly scattered osteoderm covered skin pattern/texture, similar to Abelisaurids like Carnotaurus. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Abilities and Advantages - Genyodectes anoteros is designed and built for agility and brute force. Unlike other theropods, Genyodectes has a 50% stamina reduction characteristic. - When running and sprinting, Genyodectes receives an ability known as “Serration”. When in combat with larger opponents, the amount of energy built up as momentum collides with the target and can deal an increased percentage of damage depending on the amount of time sprinting or the amount of energy behind the attack (such as running downhill - ranging on a scale from 5 to 10 times more damage output). This ability still applies in shallow, knee-deep water for the Genyo, but can be disabled if in a lake or deeper water body. - With enough energy and correct timing, both tamed and wild Genyodectes anoteros can apply an attack known as “Dissection” when confronting smaller targets. Ranging from a compsognathus or noglin in size to a human, this ability is an alternative to Serration. The Genyo can grip a target based on its jaw and skeletal adaptations that are intended towards snapping its jaws shut and tearing away flesh. This means that the longer a small prey item is held in its jaws, the teeth dig deeper into the muscle tissue and cause a bleeding debuff similar to the “gnashed” condition. This will continue until either enough damage is applied on the Genyo, a torpor effect is applied or the prey item dies. - With its behaviours, wild Genyodectes movements are based on calculating or measuring the movement of its prey target, which allows it to quickly out-manoeuvre its prey. When riding a tamed Genyodectes, twisting and turning allows it to maintain a majority of its momentum and can allow it to maintain its stamina in a controlled fashion. If you run into a tree, rock or charge your target by applying "Serration” on a larger target, its momentum will be slowed or be stopped completely. - The Genyodectes has the ability to dismount players off of tames, including Phiomias, Parasaurolophus, Iguanodons, Equus, Dire Wolves, Terror Birds, Megaloceros, Kaprosuchus, Sabertooth, Mantas, Pteranodon, Pelagornis, Gallimimus and Pachycephalosaurus (Lymantria, Ravagers, Thorny Dragons, Mantis, Andrewsarchus, Shadowmanes and Velonasaurus for creatures outside of the Center Map). - The Genyo can switch its attacks from mauling and biting a target to clawing or slashing instead, both applying different melee-based damage amounts. Biting deals more damage to a single target, while slashing can deal around the same total approximation of damage, instead distributed in total (adding up to said total) across multiple targets in a swing cycle. - The Genyo has a weight/carrying reduction of 25% towards specific harvested items such as hide, keratin, fur, oil and chitin. - The Genyodectes prefers to hunt solitary and can receive a negative debuff when hunting alongside other pack members that are male or are outside of its specific mate (mateboosted) and/or its offspring. Ceratosaurids are speculated to have hunted less in packs, but rather in family units between mates and sub-adult offspring. This means that offspring can receive a boost in imprinting with hunting experience alongside their parents and a survivor. - Tamed and raised Genyodectes can be imprinted and taught to ambush targets if outside of a flat or plateau-based area, being able to walk in a crawl-like fashion that can be altered or is accessible via the behaviour panel. This gives off limited sound cues when hunting, primarily for enemy players. - The Genyo can escape net projectiles from a harpoon launcher and will after an encounter, a wild Genyodectes anoteros will try to outmanoeuvre a net. Weaknesses - The most major weakness to Genyodectes is long-ranged weaponry, primarily chain bolas and catapult turrets. While the net gun’s net can be torn apart by the Genyodectes, chain bolas can easily ensnare and stop a Genyodectes in its tracks, if a player recognises the direction it's running in. Another alternative is a chalicotherium, which can easily obstruct and kill a weak Genyo if it is not in flat terrain. - The Genyo can not dismount players off of tames including Triceratops, Stegosaurus, Argentavis, Procoptodon, Thylacoleo, large theropods taller than an Allosaurus and certain Aquatic mounts including Ichthyosaurus, megalodon, Basilosaurus, and Sarcosuchus (creatures on other maps include Griffins, Magmasaurus, Bloodstalkers and Astrocetus). - The last debuff to the Genyo is that at night when in combat with a Megalosaurus, the Genyo receives a 15% health regeneration debuff and a 10% movement speed decrease when in combat with both domesticated/tamed and wild Megalosaurus (making it a perfect counter in certain scenarios). - While the Genyo can swim and has a tail designed towards agility both on land and in the water, the Genyo can drown (has an oxygen metre) after an extended period of time. Taming Method: While a Genyo can be tamed with narcotics, kibble and raw mutton, the easiest method is to use a passive tame. Using Ghillie armour, a player can instead cooperate with a Genyodectes in a handful to a series of ambushes of a selected prey target. After participating in an ambush, a player can feed the Genyodectes its preferred food item (mutton or superior kibble which reduces the number of ambushes that have to be performed). Passive grants higher taming progression when compared to knockout taming. One key detail with Wid Genyodectes that can be critical in the taming process, comes down to trapping the animal. In open environments such as floodplains and the undergrowths of marshland, Genyodectes can easily out manoeuvre and overrun prey sources, though if someone was to trap it with a large bear trap or in a foundation-based cage with gates. The Genyo will have nowhere to run. A player can also use an Equus’s kicks to apply an increased amount of torpor on a Genyo. Spawning Locations: https://ark.wiki.gg/wiki/Resource_Map/The_Center With Genyodectes being specialised for various environments on the Center map. Genyodectes anoteros spawns in both the temperate regions in the Snowy Grasslands (Uncommon) and the Western Cliffs (Rare) on the Western Landmass of the Center, as well as the open woodlands and estuaries of the Southern Jungle (Rare), the Southern Tropical Island (Common), the Northern Tropical Island (Common), and the flat regions of the Bridge (Very Rare) Any suggestions and comments please reply below. These are my team's suggestions, so all credit and reference goes to them for the idea (s). Thanks. - MonstersHunters For those interested in Genyodectes outside of this suggestion, I would recommend checking out the Prehistoric Beasts mod for Ark on the Steam Workshop at https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2003934830 created by mod authour Crysta. 9. Dossier Info: Common Name: Siats Species Name: Siats Meekerorum Time Period: Late Cretaceous Temperament: Aggressive Wild The Siats Meekerorum is one of the most unique creatures within the ARKs. Due to its uniquely shaped teeth and glands within its maw it is able to store various chemicals within it’s mouth that it harvests from various creatures blood, these chemicals could be used to make various concoctions. The Siats is also quite large being only slightly smaller than that of the Tyrannosaurs. The Siats spends most of its day hunting and spending the nights sleeping. Domesticated Once a Siats has been domesticated it is one of most useful and unique companions. They are strong enough to hold their own against some of the other larger predators and are naturally intimidating to smaller pests. Not to mention being able to put their stored chemicals to use. Taming Process: The Siats is tamed by using a new item called Bug Brew (Bug Brew is crafted using: Chitin, Death Worm Horns, Oil, Organic Polymer, Rhyniognatha Pheremone, Silk, and Water). Next, you must wait for the Siats to fall asleep ans sneak up to it and feed it Bug Brew to begin the taming process. Once the Siats wakes up a spot on its body will be marked you must then hit the spot with a harpoon until it roars in pain, once it roars you must feed it biotoxin until its torpor reaches full and it is knocked out, you must then feed it taming food (Meat or Extraordinary Kibble). Abilities: Actions - Primary Attack - A slow low damage basic bite Charged Bite - A attack that can be charged and held doing more damage than the Primary Attack but is much slower *If performed while held by a Rhyniognatha it will cause it to drop the Siats Stomp - The Siats stomps its foot causing nearby creatures to be knocked back Chemically Infused Roar - The Siats roars and gives off spit particles the creature hit will be affected by the concoction selected (Shown in the bottom left similar to Deinopithicus) Roar - A roar for cosmetic and roleplay purposes Passive Abilities - Pest Intimidation - Small aggressive creatures naturally avoid Siats Pest Control - Siats takes reduced damage from all agressive small creatuers Exterminator - Siats is immune to the Rhyniognatha’s englued effect Chemical Extraction - Certain creatures and breakables will give chemicals when harvested by Siats Saddle Ability - Within the Siats’s saddle you can craft various concoctions using various chemicals harvested by Siats. Here are some examples: Speed Concoction - Grants the Siats much faster movement speed for a short duration at the cost of temporarily reduced health, crsfted using water and Gali Chemicals Defence Concoction - Makes the Siats take reduced damage for a short duration at the temporary cost of significant movement speed Rage Concoction - Temporarily increase the Siats’s attack speed at the cost of defence *These are just examples they could be changed and more could be added. *Will make dossier if people are intrested enough.
  11. Ok, you might be wondering why it says "again" in the title, I had thought of suggesting another creature, however, looking at the aberration context, I strongly believe that this is a very good concept for this map, and would fit quite well in its gameplay (in my opinion) "let's do this one last time" Guanlong Wucaii is a species of dinosaur that lived at the end of the Jurassic period, approximately 156 million years ago, in Asia. Here a dossier that I had done a while ago sorry for my bad english...again
  12. Welcome to my proposal,in here I'll be suggesting a creature with my most favorite genus, introducing the Saurophaganax maximus, the abberant screeching devil, I'll go in depth of the it but before that I just wanna say the Art you will see are not mine(tho you probably already know it without me saying it to you),just wanna clear some stuff up but let's go to the in-depth of the screeching devil itself In-depth story wise In the deep inside the blue zone of abberation exist a creature never before seen by any survivors for centuries, survivors can only feel it's loud screeching noise that detter even the most well armored people, some even gone deaf, but if you heard it's screech, chances are it already seen you,and when it sees you, the only thing you can do is pray, because whoever you're praying to will meet you very soon, survivors of it's encounter describe it's appearance as if they saw the devil itself which how it got it's name, the screeching devil, later on more scientist have declared it as Saurophaganax Maximus, a genus of allosauridae that's even bigger then the allosaurus on the island,it's appearance even resembling it, with the only difference is size, behavior , and it's hunting technique. Wild Unlike the allosaurus,Saurophaganax maximus seems to be a lone hunter having only close with another one with a different gender, and unlike the allosaurus because of its, it is unable to do the hatching bite attack the allo has,However even when it lacks the number before,it still gives more power then a regular Allosaurus, the mere presence of it feared even by the scariest deep creature,it can also release a terrifying and strong screeching noise to it's prey stunning them completely for an easy prey, Taming If you for some reason have the audacity to tame this devilish creature a heads-up you need is that you can't knock it out with normal tranquility items as it to be proven unaffected by it, to knock one out you will need an overlooked tranquility item you've probably come across with, the poison grenade however you can't just throw it to the dino and knock it out that way, you will need to wait for a special moment, first get the attention of the Saurophaganax, once you've it's attention it will immediately use it's screeching abilities, while it's Doing it throw the poison grenade inside the Saurophaganax mouth once it's swallowed the Saurophaganax will be in a drunken state, use the time to escape off it's vision of sight, once you've escape just go back to it and repeat the process, however it is warned that even after you've thrown the poison grenade into it's mouth there are chances that the Saurophaganax will throw up the grenade and causing the explosion to hit you, remember stronger ones=more poison grenades Tamed once you've tamed it, it's borderline use is to Kill, everything, as I mentioned before every single creature cute, scary, small, large will feel fear when close to a Saurophaganax, causing them to be weaker , the Saurophaganax also have a habit of easily taking down armored creature such as the Ankylosaurus and stegosaurus, and large creatures such as diplodocus and paracetharium(I think that's how you spell them),as it's bite ignore armor and deals bleed status that deals 45 damage each ticks,it however can't be stacked Attacks/passive abilities The Saurophaganax will have 2 passive abilities, first is it's fear presence which have different tier of weakening creature. Decrease ravager size creature by 40% in strength Decrease stegosaurus size creature by 25% in strength Decrease spinosaurus and larger size creature by 15% The second passive ability is that it deal's more damage to creature with heavier drag weight (doesn't include the boss)and lesser damage to creature with smaller drag weight It attacks will be very similar to the allosaurus but it replaces the hatchet bite with it's grab attack able to grab small creature and players and crushing them to paralyze them it can also use it to Carry them where their weight will not be totalled into the Saurophaganax weight, with an added ability of its screeching ability which is a stationary attack, once dealt to a creature/player, it causes them to be deaf and will lost 90% of their vision for 20 seconds in which the creature can't be controlled, larger creature however won't be deaf by it and instead be in an unpleasant state. Yes while it seems to be very powerful it of course have some weakness, the rider when using the screeching ability can accidentally be caught up to its effect and in turn can't ride the Saurophaganax,it also can still be affected with throwing the poison grenade while using it's screeching ability even when tamed and it affects the creature more badly then the wild version. The proposal ends here, while I'm sure my suggestion won't be into the top 10, I'm still happy that I'am apart of another creature vote, have a good day everyone!
  13. Smok - Was a type of large predatory archosaur living in the late Triassic in modern Europe. Its fossils come from sediments in the brickyard in Lisowice near Lubliniec, dated to the turn of the Norian and Rhaetian (205-200 million years). Measuring 5-6 m in length, of which nearly 50-60 cm was the skull, it was one of the largest Triassic archosaurs. "Smok" shows some features in theropods, rauisuchians and more primitive archosaurs. Omnivore Wild Smok will spawn near rivers and more infected aberration biome, where he will hide between rocks or in water .Using his glowing scales he will be able to charm other animals or players to come to his location slowly. You can escape the charm of smok by Eating an Aquatic Mushroom or Auric Mushroom depending if it would be found as Water type or Abberated Type. Taming To Tame This Gentleman You have to bring creatures to him, he will then devour them. The Bigger the animal or the bigger the level of the animal the more percentege in taming it will have. You also have to bring diffrent kinds of mushrooms because Smok will charm you too if you are not carefull with him, also between animals Smok might consider wanting a random type of mushroom because he is a picky eater. Tamed Water Type - He Gets Unlimited Oxygen underwater plus gets Boost to Damage and Speed near Water . His attacks also Give Bleed effect just like Allo.(More like an Archosaur) Abbilitys: His First abbility: Jaw Breaker- His Jaws Open Wide and Do A LOT OF DAMAGE and does bonus damage to all structures and animals underwater. Second Abbility: Super Tail- His Tail Starts To vibrate which cause All Nearby Agressive Creatures to Turn peacefull for 15 Sec. The Cool down for abbility is 30sec. Third Abbility -Roar! Abberated Type- With Being On Radiation comes Props of course . This type of Smok Is Getting Buffed on Radiated Biome and Surface in Strength and Protecion But Also Gets and Abbility to Climb Walls and Diffrent Surfaces with extreme speed. His Bite unlike His Water Brothers is Poisonous which helps with stronger creature cause it avoid any type of armor For Example Reapers.(As a More Theropod Like Dino) Abbilitys: His First abbility: Jaw Breaker- His Jaws Open Wide and Do A LOT OF DAMAGE and does bonus damage to all animals with More Strength . Second Abbility: Wall Run- His Claws Starts To stick to all surfaces which help him get around "Abberation". Third Abbility -Roar! Because The Debate About it Being more Like Archosaur or Theropod one type should be more theropod and the other one more like Archosaur. For The Sadlle i Thought Maybe Like a Green House With But With Metal as Like a Magmasaur or Andrewsarchus but smaller.
  14. TL;DR: Medium sized carnivore / fungivore passive unless touched, secretes toxic threads on its teeth and on quills it can fling at targets, bite and quills inflict slowness while increasing the damage and torpidity a target takes, quills can immobilize small targets and slow larger ones. Also produces Narcotic substitute Toxic Threads, which spoil into Cottonlike Threads used to repair armor and create backup armor that is automatically equipped when armor breaks. Dossier Transcription Common Name: Qianzhou Species: Qianzhousaurus radiorumtextor Time: Late Cretaceous Diet: Carnivore / Fungivore Temperament: Aggressive (when touched) Wild A species of Tyrannosaurid once only considered peculiar due to its abnormally elongated head, the Qianzhousaurus radiorumtextor appears to have taken its peculiarities to an entirely new level. Most commonly found where mushrooms grow in abundance, though the Qianzhou has been observed hunting many kinds of prey less than half the size of a person, it is in fact mostly fungivorous and will usually ignore anyone within its vicinity. Unless touched, which seems to send it into an instantaneously aggressive state. The Qianzhou oddly secretes a kind of toxin coated thread from each of its many teeth and quills, that upon entering a victim’s bloodstream slows muscles while causing considerable susceptibility to injury alongside amplifying the effects of sedatives. This same thread is also present secreted around the tips of the prominent long quills intermixed amongst the feathers at the end of its tail, that the Qianzhou can fling towards adversaries to pin smaller creatures including humans while hindering larger creatures that are hit by the quills. Domesticated Some individuals who dwell near significant fungi concentrations have somehow managed to domesticate these otherwise touch intolerant creatures to such extents to saddle and ride them, claiming the Qianzhou approached them whilst they ate mushrooms in a kind of curious jealousy, then gained its trust with enough care not to touch it while feeding it a variety of fungi. A domesticated Qianzhou offers a versatile array of functions with its unique secreted thread foremost amongst them, able to be used at both range using its quills or intermixed within its bite. Interestingly it appears the Qianzhou’s thread eventually dries into a toxin devoid substance similar to threads of cotton, that I have observed some survivors create protective inner clothing from that provides both additional physical protection and protection from various poisons, venoms and toxins. Abilities List Primary Attack (Left Mouse): A wide sweeping sideways angled bite that damages a wide area in front of the Qianzhou. Causes the “Qianzhou Toxin” debuff for multiple seconds, increasing incoming damage and torpidity inflicted whilst also inflicting slowness. Secondary Attack (Right Mouse): A tailsweep that launches a few large quills off the tail forwards towards a target, which entirely immobilizes all creatures with a drag weight low enough to be carried by a Karkinos for a certain number of seconds, while significantly slowing larger creatures for a shorter amount of time. Also causes the “Qianzhou Toxin” debuff. (C Key): A shoulder slam with significant knockback, useful for distancing attackers to use the ranged attack, but highly dangerous to survivors especially during the taming process due to the risk of being pushed into other threats. (X Key): A 360 degree spin releasing a quill in every direction, each quill causes damage and might cause the “Qianzhou Toxin” debuff, but only immobilizes creatures with a drag weight low enough to be carried by a Megalosaurus. Passive Utility: Produces “Toxic Thread” within its inventory over time that can be used as a substitute for Narcotic or as a new intermediate between it and Bio Toxin. When Toxic Thread spoils it turns into “Cottonlike Thread” which doesn't spoil and can be used to create the “Cottonlike” set of backup armor. Cottonlike Thread can also either repair any armor to 50% durability within the Qianzhou’s inventory, or be used as a substitute for Hide. Taming A specific passive tame that leaves the survivor rather vulnerable during the process and requires no shortage of attention. Specifically the process entails crouching and eating a mushroom nearby a Qianzhou, causing it to jealousy approach and stare at the survivor as it leans down to look at them directly with a feed prompt appearing as it does. When fed the Qianzhou will randomly do one of three possible actions: -It will stand straight to eat, then lean downwards again allowing another mushroom to be immediately fed. -It will stand straight to eat then swiftly turn around, causing the survivor to either have to quickly crawl to avoid its tail or to suddenly move out of the way. If the survivor doesn’t move, the tail hits them and makes the Qianzhou become aggressive. -It will stand straight to eat, then after a specific delay will lean down to nip the survivor despite not becoming aggressive. If the survivor doesn’t move, all of the mushrooms in their inventory are taken. One random piece of armor is also unequipped (added to inventory or thrown forward, not deleted.) It will then turn around and walk away. All types of mushrooms can be used as regular taming food, with Mushroom Brew being akin to kibble. Alternatively, a randomized mushroom could be required at each feeding interval further adding to the vulnerability of the survivor during the process, as they would have to open their inventory to equip the applicable mushroom each time. Cottonlike Backup Armor Function: Unlike regular armor the Cottonlike set functions as backup armor that is instantly equipped when armor breaks or is removed, giving a survivor a better chance at not dying when their armor is broken or during the process of repairing their armor. Setup: When selected each piece of the Cottonlike set has a new action called “activate”, which when toggled causes the activated backup armor piece to automatically replace armor instantaneously when it is broken or removed. Only one piece for each armor slot can be activated at the same time. Details: The Cottonlike set consists of simple entirely cotton clothing created from Cottonlike Thread within a Qianzhou’s inventory or elsewhere, it having very high durability but protection between cloth and hide armor. Though has the added bonus of reducing incoming torpidity damage from poison-like sources (what Riot armor doesn’t protect against), and when activated has its armor values applied in addition to whatever armor is being worn. 15. Original Species (Indosuchus Raptorius) not my drawing Dossier Species: Indosuchus Diablovenator Time: Late Cretaceous Diet: Carnivore Temperament: Aggressive (especially to Nameless) Wild: I have noticed that much of the prehistoric wildlife in these caverns are pretty aberrant compared to the prehistoric wildlife I encountered on the island and desert with them most notably glowing in the dark but one dino stands out from the rest, Indosuchus Diablovenator, for one I did not encounter it on the previous space stations and secondly it seems more derived than the other prehistoric creatures with numerous adaptations for dwelling in these caverns. Firstly Indosuchus is capable of swimming on the surface of molten element allowing it to escape many dangerous situations as other creatures can't dwell in molten element without getting hurt, secondly, Indosuchus has a corrosive breath that burns the skin of anything that comes into contact with the breath. Most creatures run away from Indosuchus when they come face to face with its breath but Nameless aren't one of them, in order to deter them Indosuchus will go out of its way to consume charge light emitting creatures and certain bioluminescent plant seeds & fruits to turn its corrosive breath into a glowing corrosive breath capable of blinding adversaries who have the misfortune of being in its way. Domesticated: Indosuchus Diablovenator is an incredibly popular creature for survivors to tame due to its ability to traverse the deepest parts of the caverns and its anti-nameless breath. One should note that taming Indosuchus can prove to be a bit difficult as it seems only Nameless venom will pacify them into being tamed. On its anti-nameless breath certain survivors have trained Indosuchus to fire its breath in multiple ways, the two most common ways are 1. A slow moving "breath ball" similar to how a Basilisk spits its venom and 2. A rapid-fire method where Indosuchus fires multiple diminutive but fast moving breath balls at targets, the fire-rate specifically is similar to the very advanced element rifles the group of survivors I'm with mainly use. Technical Stuff: Basic Rundown of what it can do/is. ⦁ A Medium Sized Theropod that's been upscaled a bit to the size of Ark's Baryonyx. ⦁ It is capable of swimming on the surface of molten element and is immune to radiation, emphasis on the surface of molten element. ⦁ It has a breath attack where it spews a corrosive gas like a flamethrower that deals damage and that's kind it. ⦁ If it kills a charge light-emitting creature or consumes a Plant Species Z seed or fruit it's breath attack gets the ability to blind enemies (similar to how Plant Z Fruit flashbang stuff) after a while of using the breath attack on them. However, after a few minutes or so the buff will go away. When buffed the breath attacks will do extra damage to Nameless and Reapers ⦁ Once tamed you can use the breath (buffed or not) in multiple different modes not just the flamethrower-like mode. ⦁ The first new firing mode similar to the Basilisk's spit in that it fires a ball of corrosive gas, it will instantly flashbang enemies if buffed however the ball is slow moving. ⦁ The Second Mode is similar in fire rate to a Tek Rifle, unlike the first mode if buffed the breath attacks will not instantly flashbang enemies instead you need to do several shots to the head of your enemies in order to blind them. ⦁ If you use too much of the charge breath will buffed you will get out of the buff early regardless of mode so don't just spam. ⦁ In order to tame it you must knock it unconscious the usual style then feed it Nameless Venom.
  16. Design: The design of the Atrociraptor should be similar to that seen in the show “Prehistoric Planet” but its size should be more like what was shown in the movie “Jurassic World: Dominion”. They could also have various pattern variants on their bodies these consist of: Solid Color, Leopard Print, Tiger Stripes, and Cow Print. Spawns: Atrociraptor is found within and around the outskirts of volcanic or burnt areas, in the case of Ragnarok “The Burning Mists” area. Atrociraptors spawn in groups of one. Taming (*All controls listed will be for consoles): Atrociraptors have a natural instinct to follow flames. To tame an Atrociraptor you must first consume fria curry and then interact with the Atrociraptor while holding a torch (Similar to the way you tame an Amargasaur). After you have interacted with the Atrociraptor you mjst then mark targets for it to hunt you do this by shooting the creature you want it to hunt using a flame arrow. Sometimes between kills the Atrociraptor will rest and wish be fed cooked meat or exceptional kibble. Repeat this process till tames. Abilites: Passive - The Atrociraptor grants its rider immunity to heat, this makes it an exceptional mount when near volcanoes or in deserts. Bolt - The Atrociraptor begins running extremely fast (Similar to the speed of a Gali), this makes it an extremely fast mount for travel., it can perform a slide (Similar to Andrewsarchus) to end the Bolt quiclky). (Hold left trigger to perform) Pounce - (Can only be done during Bolt) The Atrociraptor jumps on the enemy shredding through their armor, if done to a dinosaur it latches on (Similar to Deinonichus), this attack is extremely hard to aim/hit. The Atrociraptor spreads its arms, opens its mouth, makes a roar/snarl sound, and drools to signify that it is preparing to use this attack (Hold right trigger to perform let go to pounce) Saddle Deign: I think it would be cool for the Atrociraptors saddle to be inspired around knight armor but have the armored parts look lightweight as the Atrociraptor needs to be able to move very quickly. Note: The abilities are completely random ideas I thought of I will change them if anyone has a good suggestion for what they should be.
  17. Common name: Eocarcharia Species name: Eocarcharia dinops Time: Early Cretaceous Diet: Carnivore Temperament: Aggressive Wild: It's unknown if Eocarcharia hunted alone or in packs. Judging by its size (6-8m length) and fact that he is a Carcharodontosauridae there is a possbility they hunted in packs. Similar to Allosauruses, the Eocarcharias could wander in group of 3 members hunting small sauropods and hadrosaurs. Eocarcharias' fossils were found on Sahara, so they'd live on deserted areas of the map(s). Their bites would apply bleeding to their preys. Encyclopedia says Sarcosuchus might have been his potential enemy, so that could hint something? Bonus damage against crocodiles or something lol (no) Taming: Honestly, I am not sure. Most of lately added creatures have their own unique taming method. Maybe let's stay with knocking them out? Especially if they hunted in packs. Cannot think of something better at the moment uhh unless riding on them like on Equus (good luck) Domesticated: I swear I am trying to figure something out so it does not look like smaller Allosaurus copy...... Let's try to make them more mobile and fierce I wanna make them pack hunters as well but with small buffs so they are actually useful haha Abilities (While standing): LMB - Bite. RMB - Mega-Bite: The longer you hold button the more damage it does/the longer bleeding lasts. Applies bleeding. C - Roar: Would buff Damage of all Eocarcharias in pack. (Self included) (To do big damage) Abilities (While running): RMB - Lunge. Would perform a dash towards target enemy and apply the Mega-Bite. Maybe additionally slowing the target? I chose Lunge because they COULD NOT jump. C - Roar: Would buff Speed of all Eocarcharias in pack. (Self included) (To chase down the enemy) Eocarcharia could also increase it's running speed overtime and drift like Andrewsarchus. Army of Eocarcharias racing for kills! Additionally reduced weight for meat and hide (so they can hunt and hunt) (It's really hard to create a new mechanic for me because it's either already used or too complicated to program smh) It's one of my favorite less known dinosaurs. I'd love to see it getting some love from people. We do not have too much information on this dinosaur, but I managed to find something on various wikis. Also the name sounds cool B) I had fun making this one - my first submission! Enjoy ^^
  18. The rexes in ARK have been shunned by the far larger and superior Giganotosaurus. But in reality, Tyrannosaurus, although slightly smaller, was a far more advanced and powerful predator. With this new species, Tyrannosaurus gets the respect it deserves... IMPERATOR Species: Tyrannosaurus imperator Time: Late Cretaceous Diet: Carnivore Temperament: Aggresive Wild This larger relative of the Rex is one of the ARK's most dangerous predators. They can overpower even a giga, which I thought at first to be the top predator here. And they hunt in prides, tripling the danger. In group they have even been known to hunt and kill Saltasaurus. The key to these giants' success is evidently their advanced skulls. Domesticated Being the ultimate war beast, Imperators require the same basic principles to tame but the pride factor adds to the difficulty. The jaws of these theropods are insanely strong, being able to crush metal and the bones of its victims. They also have powerful senses of smell and sight, allowing them to detect enemies easily. The tyrannosaurs have a pack instinct, and when in groups can get boosts to their prowess. Many call it a "Titan Rex", but I see "Imperator" as a more appropriate name. I'm smarter and I'm the one writing these dossiers, so I decide, at least this time. --- The Imperator will spawn in groups of up to 3. Spawns in around mountains, snow, and other highly dangerous areas. They can damage metal and all lower tiers. They also gain sniff and pack bonus abilities similar to the dire wolf. They require the standard knock out method of taming, and eat the same as a giga. Their stats are similar to a giga's, but slightly lowered in everything but melee. Predator senses: can be toggled on to give vision like that of a TEK Helmet. Crushing bite: Takes about 8 seconds to preforms and has a very small AOE. Deals high damage and inflicts a broken-bone effect, which works like an Injury and a Bleed. If it hits a creature with a drag weight of 300 kgs or less, it will deals just enough damage to cause a real injured effect (unless more damage would be dealt otherwise). 30 sec cooldown. Roar: This ability causes all enemies within range to have a 80% chance of being frightened. This condition causes their attacks to be twice as slow and, for characters, a blurred vision like beer causes. Size of the creature does not matter. 19. Ark Maip Dossier and Render done by KasparHen Disclaimer Hello everyone! I'm back again with the Maip macrothorax, Ark's Endgame Megaraptor. After looking at some suggestions and comments, I tried to give it some things that would make it stand out more from the rest of Ark's carnivorous dinosaurs. I have changed its abilities, updated its dossier, gave it a unique taming method, and gave it new mechanics that help it fit in line with Scorched Earth. I now present to you all the revised version of Maip! Basic Info Common Name: Megaraptor/Maip Species: Maip macrothorax Time: Late Cretaceous Diet: Carnivore Temperament: Aggressive Wild: Maip macrothorax is a unique dinosaur from the mysterious megaraptoran clade of theropods. Known for their large, scythe like claws, these predators use them with deadly efficiency - capable of shredding through any target they set their gaze on. Due to this attribute, the Maip lives up to the name ‘shadow of death’. After spending some time studying this dinosaur, I have discovered that Maip see wyverns as their natural competitor. As such, I have often witnessed many skirmishes between the two species. Due to this rivalry, Maip has evolved to be able to leap astonishing distances without sustaining massive injury. This allows them to be able to raid the nests of wyverns and help wipe out the competition. Domesticated: Once tamed, Maip can serve as a unique debuffer. It’s able to cripple creatures using a special slash. This attack can be used on any creature but where it truly excels is when it’s used on aerial creatures. When the attack connects, it’ll instantly drain all of the target’s stamina and force it to land. At this point, the creature will be unable to regenerate any stamina for a short period of time and will take increased damage from attacks. I have witnessed tribes using Maip to more effectively combat wyverns. They do this by using the Maip’s superior agility to evade the wyvern’s breath attacks before proceeding to leap into the air and perform a slash so powerful it cripples the wyvern, forcing it to land. Legends have been told of one survivor that owns a Maip that is able to embue its claw attacks with the effect of a wyvern. They say this was done by giving the Maip a wyvern talon. Utility Abilities: Primary Attack: - A simple bite attack that deals a decent amount of damage. Secondary Attack: - Pressing or holding down the corresponding button will have the Maip rapidly swipe its claws. Looking in a certain direction will cause the Maip to swipe its claws while turning to face that direction. This would work like the Sarco’s bite where it can turn while attacking. Crippling Slash: [C] – Upon pressing the corresponding button, Maip will leap forward and perform a powerful slash attack with both of its hands. This attack will inflict a new, unique debuff called “Crippling Wound.” This ability will cost stamina and go on a cooldown for 5-10 seconds after successfully being used. This is Maip’s most powerful attack. By holding down the corresponding button, you’ll be able to charge up this ability and aim it. This would allow for much greater leaping distance, whether it be horizontally or vertically. This would specifically be used for helping Maip to reach flyers. Crippling Wound – If used on a land or water creature, this debuff will decrease their movement speed, slowly drain their stamina, and cause them to take more damage from incoming attacks. If used on an aerial creature, this debuff will instantly drain the flyer’s stamina and force them to land. At this point, the flyer will be unable to regenerate any stamina for a short period of time and will take more damage from incoming attacks. The flyer would also have decreased movement speed. Jump: [Spacebar] - Maip has the ability to jump upon pressing the corresponding button. If you hold the button down, Maip is able to do a super jump akin to the Reaper or Shadowmane. Passive - Reduced Fall Damage - Maip takes little to no fall damage. It’s able to fall from great heights without sustaining much injury. Aesthetic Roar: [Left-Ctrl] - An aesthetic roar that looks and sounds cool. Scorched Earth Theme After being on Scorched Earth for some time, Maip has grown to hate the presence of wyverns. In fact, it considers the wyverns as its natural enemy. Due to this, Maip has evolved to easily be able to raid the nest of wyverns and counter them. Utilizing its super jump, Maip is able to leap into the wyvern trenches and steal wyvern eggs. When in the presence of wild/enemy/allied wyverns, Maip gains a 15-20% damage output and resistance buff. Maip could also have the ability to use wyvern effects on its claw attacks. Let me explain how this would work. When you kill a wyvern, it drops a talon. Maip could have a special slot in its inventory that allows it to equip the wyvern talon. This would allow Maip to gain the effects of that wyvern. The effects of the wyvern talon would be applied to the Maip’s basic claw attack and its crippling slash ability. Fire Wyvern Talon: Maip’s claws are imbued with fire. Imbued with fire, the Maip would give targets the Enflamed debuff or a lesser version of the debuff that doesn’t burn away as much health. Its claws and horns would be red to visually indicate to players it has a fire talon equipped. Lightning Wyvern Talon: Maip’s claws are imbued with electricity. Imbued with electricity, the Maip gains increased attack speed and the ability to stun its target. The stun would be akin to the Baryonyx. After the stun wears off, the target would have stun immunity for x amount of time before being able to be stunned again. Its claws and horns would be blue to visually indicate to players that it has a lightning talon equipped. Poison Wyvern Talon: Maip’s claws are imbued with a corrosive acid. Imbued with this corrosive acid, the Maip’s attacks would cause the target’s torpidity to increase along with degrading armor. Its claws and horns would be green to visually indicate to players it has a poison talon equipped. If this idea was implemented, it could be expanded upon to include the other wyverns. Unique talon drops would have to be made for those wyverns. Roles Debuffer: With the ability to gain special properties when equipping wyvern talons, Maip has the potential to inflict multiple debuffs on opponents. It's also able to inflict a unique debuff, Crippling Wound. These debuffs can be used to a survivor's advantage by helping to weaken the enemy. Nest Raider: Due to its high maneuverability, reduced fall damage, and astonishing jump height, Maip is perfect for helping survivors to raid the nests of wyverns. It can assist them in more easily being able to obtain wyvern eggs. Anti-Flyer: Maip is able to forcefully land any flyer by using its Crippling Slash ability. This allows Maip to swiftly dispatch any pesky flyers. Wyvern Fighter: Able to effectively fend off and fight wyverns. Due to getting a 15-20% damage output and resistance buff when in the presence of wyverns, Maip is perfect for taking them down. Manticore Fighter: Since wyverns can be brought into the Manticore boss fight, Maip can be paired up with them to allow the dinosaur to gain its 15-20% damage output and resistance buff. This can help survivors defeat the Manticore as Maip will be dishing out more damage to the boss while also taking less damage from it. Guardian: Can be used to guard bases or slow moving transport tames. Its variety of attacks allow Maip to hold its own against most creatures. Travel: A relatively quick and agile dinosaur, Maip is able to help survivors explore the vast wastelands of Scorched Earth. The dinosaur is able to protect their rider against the many threats that can be found out in the desert. Artwork done by DILONG Taming To tame a Maip, you must first head into the wyvern trench and collect wyvern talons. You will get wyvern talons by killing wyverns. Once you have wyvern talons and find a Maip you want to tame, you must equip the wyvern talon into your 0 slot. The Maip will sense that you have a wyvern talon equipped and immediately proceed to hit you with a crippling slash. You must be able to tank the hit and survive. Upon hitting you, the Maip takes your wyvern talon and plays an animation where it becomes super angry. You want to hop on the Maip while this animation is playing. At this point, you get taming progress on Maip by killing wyverns in the trench with it. The Maip will get the wyvern-related buffs while you’re riding on it. If you survive with it and kill enough wyverns, it will be tamed. Once tamed, and not equipped with a saddle, it'll have a timer before it knocks you off. This timer should give you enough time to get out of the wyvern trench. Credit goes to TanukiiTricks in the comments for this idea. I liked it so much that I decided to implement it here into the main post. Ark Fear Evolved Now you’re all probably wondering why there is a section involving Ark’s Halloween event here. Simple answer, the Dodowyvern. Since the Dodowyvern is something that spawns only on Scorched Earth and only comes around once a year, I thought it would be a fun little idea to add on a way Maip can benefit from it. What better way to fight the Dodowyvern than with a dinosaur that is built for countering wyverns. The crippling slash ability probably wouldn't be as effective on the Dodowyvern though, since it's a boss creature. I would probably make it to where hitting the Dodowyvern with the crippling slash ability would just grant the same effects as hitting a land creature with it. So, you wouldn't be able to instantly drain all of its stamina and force it to land. Upon defeating the Dodowyvern, it will drop the Dodowyvern Mask Skin. It would be preferable if the Dodowyvern just dropped its own special trophy or something but it currently doesn’t have one. Anyways, you can offer Maip the Dodowyvern Mask Skin (or trophy if that gets made) to have it become the ultimate frenzy machine for a couple of minutes. Maip will play a special “powering up” animation of sorts when you give it the trophy of the Dodowyvern. Fury of the Dodowyvern: Upon offering Maip the trophy of the Dodowyvern, it will gain this buff. This buff allows the Maip’s claws to randomly swap between the effects of the fire wyvern, lightning wyvern, and poison wyvern after every use of a claw attack (this includes crippling slash). Along with this, the Maip will gain the 15-20% damage output and resistance buff regardless of if there’s any wyverns around or not. Maip and its rider will also be immune to the effects of wyvern breath attacks during the duration of the buff. The Maip's claws and horns would rapidly change between the colors of red, blue, and green to visually indicate to players it has this buff. The caveat to this is that it only lasts a few minutes. Feel free to run wild and make everyone flee in terror before this buff runs out! Additional Information on the Real-life animal: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maip
  20. Update: I have recently learned that the person behind the Ark Additions mod is close to finishing a Deinocheirus for his mod and it will be releasing soon, for his benefit dont upvote. I guess us console players gotta wait until august then Description and Abilities: In my opinion ark deserves a more powerful multi purpose creature, so let me introduce the Deinocheirus. The grand idea for Deinocheirus is more of a mid to late game tame for scorched earth that could be a beneficial due to the maps harsh climate and hostile creatures. This creature's most crucial feature will be its thick fur/feathering, which will provide the rider with an insulation buff as well as providing a natural damage resistance to the creature (nothing to broken probably 20-25%) but will provide heavy resistance towards wyvern breath attacks. If it come into contact with water it will produce a hydration buff that greatly reduces the need to drink. Another feature would be 3 separate attacks that provide 3 different purposes: 1. Bite: a pretty standard attack that can harvest berries/fibre from bushes, thatch from trees and hide from bodies. 2. Claw swipe: a more brutal attack that can cause bleed (even to bosses) as well as having wood and meat harvesting capabilities. 3. Body slam: An extremely powerful attack with a cool down that Involves a jump and a wwe style move that deals massive damage, stun, aswell as dismounting. Its two final abilities will be a weight reduction for harvested items and the longer it runs the more speed it picks up. For the size I believe being slightly bigger than the Allosaurus should be a fair bet. Behaviour and Taming: The behaviour for a wild Deinocheirus should be similar to that of the dire bear, passive for a few moments than extremely aggressive with the intention of killing. The Taming for this creature should be passive and requires a certain animation to interact. The general idea is it will wonder for a while and proceed to sit it will open its mouth and start panting, once this happens you walk up to it and feed it water to hydrate it, the colder the water the greater the effectiveness. Location: The location of this creature will be around or near the green obelisk since its a nice beautiful area, with the added bonus of an alpha variant that spawns out in the dunes of the desert. With that all said and done, Good luck to all the creature submissions.
  21. Yangchuanosaurus was a theropod from the middle-late Jurassic period, around the size of Allosaurus, it was surely an apex of its time. (art by SpinoinWonderland) My idea for Yangchuanosaurus is that it would be able to detect creatures using heat detection, like a snow owl. But it takes this a step further, it can analyze a creatures weak spots to do higher amounts of damage, and it can pinpoint a spot to grapple onto where it hold a creature in place to be continuously shredded with a species “deep wound bleed” that would lower a creatures resistance and make it take more damage. Making it an effective counter against the likes of stegosaurus. This grapple also works on bringing down flying creatures like argentavis, so you can bring down those annoyances who are normally hard to hit on a ground mount. (image by jagged fang designs) Now it’s not just a good counter against defensive creatures, it will have good pve aspects as well, it can use its advanced heat detection ability to detect if a sandstorm or heatwave is coming, and if a creature is high level, much like a glow pet. Additionally bodies of water can be detected, making it easier to traverse the vast desert for water. And one more feature of this ability is that it can mark locations using scent, while you can mark locations on your map, Yangchuanosaurus will give you the distance to how far you are from the location. It’s saddle is special too, it has a raised wooden part on top of it like a thorny dragon, but this will protect you from sandstorms and heatwaves, and also from fliers grabbing you. Additionally this saddle helps it carry perishable items as it reduces spoil time, making it an effective carrier of organic polymer. Speaking of organic polymer, it is an excellent gatherer of it, due to its preferred prey being the mantis. Back to the saddle, it also includes a built in mortar and pestle. Now, it’s taming method. My idea for the taming method will be that it’s like an equus, but you have to feed it it’s preferred food of organic polymer. TLDR: -Can detect sandstorms, heatwaves, bodies of water and high level creatures. Also detects weak points to grapple onto creatures which includes fliers. -Saddle protects rider from being grabbed, and from sandstorms and heatwaves. Saddle also reduces spoil time and has a mortar and pestle built in. -Can mark a location and tell you how far you are away from it. -Special bleed it inflicts that it reduces resistance on creatures, effective against stegosaurus.

I will update on Monday April 10!
  23. Design The design of the creature should be similar to the design from the show Prehistoric Planet, but their size should be larger than a normal raptor and should be more reminiscent of their size in Jurassic World Dominion. Wild In the wild Atrociraptors should travel in packs of 4 and hunt the herbivores, small carnivores, and raptors of Scorched Earth. When wild the Artrociraptor will spread it arms out and run at you at a very fast speed in an attempt to pounce you, if pounced the Atrociraptor will shred through most armours (Doesn't shred through Chitin). Wild Atrociraptors are found in only the hottest areas being drawn to sources of heat such as fire. Taming To tame the Atrociraptor you must first kill all of its pack mates, then you must lure the Atrociraptor using oil jars and flame arrows, once the Atrociraptor goes to investigate the flames, you must sneak up to it and ride it, while riding it the Atrociraptor will run and jump around, during this sequence you must press the quick time buttons that appear randomly on the screen, the Atrociraptor will kick you off every 25% and chase you, you then repeat this process until the Atrociraptor is tamed. Tamed When tamed Atrociraptors make an extremely proficient desert mount. Atrociraptor are extremely fast, have the ability to climb, can slide similar to Andrewsarchus, and have quite a high jump for a theropod. Abilities: Passive - Atrociraptors receive a pack bonus that stacks between a total of 4 of them. Ability #1.) Bolt - The Atrociraptor spreads its arms and charges at an extremely fast speed (Similar ten the speed of a Gali) if the attack button is pressed while bolting the Atrociraptor will attempt to pounce, if it pounces a creature it inflicts bleed damage, if it pounces a player it shreds through their armour. Ability #2.) Rallying Roar - The Atrociraptor lets out a roar which boosts nearby Atrociraptors speed and health regen, they also deal more damage but only if they are not being ridden. Saddle Design The design should give the Atrociraptor light metal plates along its body, and on its head it should have a knight helmet esc design.

    Allosaurus

    From the album: Dossiers

Common name: Allosaurus Species: Allosaurus Therotribus Time: Late Jurassic Diet: Carnivore Temperament: Aggressively Social Wild: Smaller but faster than tyrannosaurus, larger but slower than Carnotaurus, Allosaurus Therotribus is the island's resident pack-hunting theropod. While most aggressive theropods are relatively solitary creatures, Allosaurus lives in groups of 3-4. One Allosaurus is the alpha, while the others are its mates or a beta male. Like humans find value in forming a tribe, the Allosaurus has evolved to hunt in packs. Its saw-shaped teeth leave its prey bleeding and maimed, making escape difficult. Once an Allosaurus slows a creature with its cutting bite, the rest of its pack quickly close in for the kill. Domesticated: Not everyone thinks a tamed Allosaurus is ideal. Those who value speed generally tame Carnotaurus, while those who value raw stopping power tame Tyrannosaurus. However, Riders of Allosaurus tend to value the utility of its Alpha pack status, which along with its bleed-inducing attacks and relative mobility, can effectively turn the tide of a combined arms battle.
