Keresdrakon - The Apex Of The Scorching Skies
RaptorRapture19 posted a suggestion in Creature submission archive
What is Keresdrakon? Keresdrakon is a species of Azhdarchid, it was around the size of a Quetzal, would've been most likely an opportunistic carnivore. It lived during the Cretaceous period with what is now known as Brazil. Why should vote for Keresdrakon in Scorched Earth? Keresdrakon would be a great addition to Scorched, being a new large flyer which can act as a tent during sandstorms and heatwaves, Male Keresdrakon will be the fighters of the species providing a unique flyer experience, whilst the females of the species care for babies whilst also producing a less optimal Wyvern milk for Wyvern babies. More will be explained on the male and female Keresdrakon further into the post. Keresdrakon Dossier Wild: The scorching sands looming hunter, Keresdrakon, as large as the Islands native species Quetzalcoatlus. Unlike the Quetzal, Keresdrakon prizes itself in its adept aerial prowess, while you may be fooled to think its a slow hunter, I’ve seen this creature fight Wyverns and overtake them in aerial combat. Tamed: Keresdrakon is a valuable tame for any tribe on the scorching sands. When there’s a sandstorm or heatwave, Keresdrakon will provide shelter for you and your tribe mates. Most tribes I’ve seen use Keresdrakon to fight Alpha Wyverns to get the milk from within it. Behaviour Whilst not at a nest you can see wild Keresdrakon looming high in the skies, unlike the Quetzal, they are aggressive and will attack if you get too close. When at a nest, you can find pairs of Keresdrakon which normally won't attack unless provoked. Taming To tame Keresdrakon, you must climb to the peaks of Scorched Earth, there you will find pairs trying to finish their nests. At first you will notice its an ordinary nest with nothing special, but that's where you come in, you have to help make the nest, you will need Wyvern talons and Rex arms, as well as plenty of wood. You are first prompted with the female asking for wood, depending on the level of the female depends on the amount of wood. After you have given the female wood, you must give the male your trophies as he will recognise you as a capable hunter, much like itself. After those few things are done, the female will promptly lay an egg, and you can pick up the egg. Combat To fight a Keresdrakon, it is advised to chain bola them due to their lack of ground movement then use a high damaging tame or weapon and start hurting it. Attacks Primary: Beak attack, you can rapidly press it for DPS or hold it down to perform an alternate attack which skewers smaller dinos, instantly killing them, or causes large damage and bleed to anything over a certain carry weight. Secondary: Barrel Roll which causes large damage and knockback. Tertiary: While grounded, this attack will make Keresdrakon slap with its wing causing heavy knockback and a brief stun. While airborne this attack will just be a grab to move players or tames under a certain carry weight. Male and Female Mechanics Male: The male unlike the female is more damaging, with a unique rage mechanic where when you take lots of damage the Keresdrakon will enter a rage mode which does not dismount you but it increases the males damage output as well as its speed, turning it into a power house of a flyer. Female: The female is there to care for your babies, imprinting on them for you whilst you're out of base (this does not work if you are offline), she also likes to collect other species eggs as if they were here own, she organises them into a nice neat pile, if you give the female a Wyvern talon, she produces milk for that species of Wyvern, so fire talon means Fire Milk. Roles Boss Fighter: Due to Keresdrakon's power, using a few for the Manticore fight should make it easier. Taming Mount: Due to the 2 seater saddle, you can have a tribemate shoot from the back to knockout other creatures. Fertilised Egg Collector: Stated above, the female collects eggs. Milk Provider: Stated above, the female produces milk based on what Talon you give it. Travel Mount: Due to its stamina pool and speed, Keresdrakon makes for an excellent travel mount. Boss Tribute Farmer: Due to the males power, hunting down Wyverns and other apex's should be fairly easy. Wyvern Egg Stealer: Being able to out manoeuvre and kill Wyverns, Keresdrakon makes for the ultimate nest raider. Dogfighter: Due to the speed and strength behind Keresdrakon, you can easily fight off multiple Wyverns without much worry. Boss Saddle: The saddle provides a unique take which shows what you need for each boss fight without needing to head to a terminal to constantly check. Mobile Shelter: When there is a Sandstorm or Heatwave, you can land and use make shelter option which make Keresdrakon, cover you with its wings, this provides the shelter buff. Stegotetrabelodon is a large pachyderm ancestor of the modern elephant, this animal is very large and tall (even bigger than mammoths and paracers) and therefore shouldn't be disturbed too much or it could tear you apart in seconds. It is indeed an extremely short-tempered creature, but it helps that its eyesight is bad, so it will only attack you if you get too close. As you can see in the image above, it's a creature that loves two things: 1- Water, so you can find it near oases or in any case near lakes, rivers and ponds. 2- The group; the stegotetrabelodon in fact lives in groups of 5 specimens and each group is led by a leader who will be the one with the highest level of the group Wild: I can't believe my eyes... while filling my water bottle at the oasis my eyes lifted up and my attention was caught by a creature I had never seen before... It was tall and very large and had four long tusks, he was not alone but accompanied by a group. He was slowly walking up to me and I thought he was friendly but then he looked closely and started running after me. So I realized they are short-tempered animals and it would be best to keep your distance. Taming: Taming this beast is not easy because you will risk your life. There is only one way to tame it And you have to follow it down to the smallest detail... First step you have to kill the leader of the group by doing so when the other specimens of the group have forgotten and will no longer chase you the group will split and each stegotetrabelodon will go on its way without helping the others in case of attack... at this point you have to choose your target among the remaining stegotetrabelodon and let yourself be chased, you have to take it as far as possible from the stream where you found it and when it is far enough it will fall on the ground and he will pass out and at this point you just have to put some bottles of water or jars or something else of water and you have to wait for him to drink it and after a while he tames it. Tamed: Once tamed it will be possible to ride it using a saddle (This is how the saddle should be) When you ride this animal the covered saddle will give you the same effects as when you are in a tent so you will have thermal insulation and protection from sandstorms. In addition to this the stegotetrabelodon has various abilities: The first is a simple attack that if the enemy is in front of the stegotetrabelodon, he will attack with his fangs so he will do more damage and if the enemy is behind the stegotetrabelodon he will stomp with his hind legs The second is an attack that we will call fire hydrant attack because it will be necessary to get close to the water and by pressing the stegotetrabelodon it will capture it with its proboscis and then it will be able to spit on other creatures 3 times before reloading, as soon as they are hit by the water they will be pushed, the smaller the creature, the farther the distance will be when they are pushed by the water The third ability is the coolest in my opinion, it consists of a fang attack and when it does the stegotetrabelodon will start running towards the target and pierce it with its 4 fangs the hit creature will be captured by the stegotetrabelodon exactly like Kaprosuchus and Megalosaurus do this and this will be very painful for the enemy which will have an effect called *Skewered*.. Only small and medium creatures will be caught by stegotetrabelodon, large creatures will be stuck for a few seconds like a bear trap does and very large creatures they will only have the Skewered effect. Fourth ability (POSSIBLE but I'm not very sure) It consists of the watering mode so when the stegotetrabelodon takes water with its proboscis it will start activating the watering mode AND it will start watering the plants in quite a large area which will be shown the player when he places the plants and when the water runs out you have to take him to a stream to fill it or you will put some water in his inventory like bottles, skins and jars… OTHER IDEAS RECOMMENDED BY SUPPORTERS The Leader of the group of stegotetrabelodons has a "musth rage" that Is activate when the other group member are attacked, This fury makes him much stronger but slower when attacking and when moving The stegotetrabelodon is very strong but its Achilles heel is the stamina in fact it gets tired immediately as we have seen in the taming The saddle of the stegotetrabelodon is very expensive because, as seen in the concept photo, it is very particular and therefore will certainly require a lot of metal and silk in addition to leather If you have any other ideas or anything write a comment and I will add it and you like stegotetrabelodon be sure to vote for my idea
