  1. Other Helpful info: I have a second computer than can find servers and will connect to my steam ID I tried reinstalling Ark and reinstalling steam Firewall is off Can't find Official or Unofficial servers tried a second account with access to the game and it did not work Steam can't find any server using add Favorite function Can find other games like Team Fortress Full access to internet Can't see any mods Can plan single player
  2. Is there a server history view on PS5? I'm unable to rejoin the session on official, and we spent about 12 hours yesterday making a decent amount of progress taming, building, etc between a 4 person group... Auto favorite doesn't work, and join previous session also fails. Thank you for any help.
  3. Hello. I saw that asa came out on xbox and flocked to go buy it. I play on a series S and its not letting me buy the game. I dont know why its doing this but is the Series S compatible with the game?
  4. Hello, i sued to play ark alot on my ps4 and loved it but recently i bought the game on my pc since i stoped playing the playstation in general. After downloading the game i have never been able to join a server since everytime i search for one i only se servers with 0-3 people on and i dont want to join that. ive been looking everywhere for a fix but there is nothing that had helped me. I should mention i live in sweden and even tho i dont have the best internet i still tend to have a farely low ping and stable connection. Please someone help me i really wanna get into ark again and play some online servers.
  5. Welcome survivors! Introducing to you, Aerosteon: The Phantom (ART DONE BY ZCI5250, known as crab, he´s great) (Also go vote for Zheny by TaronCapala!) Common Name: Aerosteon Species: Aerosteon Phantasma Time: Late Creatceous Diet: Carnivore Temperament: Aggressive Wild: Found in the incredibly dangerous Forbidden Zone, Aerosteon phantasma seems somewhat out of place among the rampant hordes of corrupted creatures. These large megaraptorids can be seen taking advantage of the vertical terrain to move around and will often try to avoid combat. I am guessing that the only reason these dinosaurs live here is that a small population was trapped here and forced to adapt. And adapt they did, to a bizarre extent. It seems that the corruption in an Aerosteon's body allows it to turn completely invisible for a certain amount of time! The only way to spot a camoflauged Aerosteon is to look for the purple mist that is emitted from its body, but the various hostile creatures of the region don't seem to have caught on to this fact. Domesticated: Tribes have found that by playing a sort of "hide and seek" game and feeding wild Aerosteon corrupted hearts, survivors can gain the Aerosteon´s trust. This ghostly theropod has several rows of long quills along its tail which are laced with neurotoxins that can induce blindness and auditory hallucinations in those affected. Hence, Aerosteon is usually used by tribes as a supporting mount in combat. I've also been told the quills can be harvested and mixed with corruption nodules to revert their effects, this can then be fed to unconscious creatures to give them sweet dreams and make them forget their precious trauma Abilities: Active abilities: Bite (, , ): A simple bite which does low damage but has fast attack speed, can be charged to do more damage by holding the button, when charged it plays a claw slice animation Phase (Click C, , ): The Aerosteon turns invisible at the cost of stamina, you can see a trail of mist left behind as it moves, this increases its movement speed but makes it unable to attack and it now takes 3x more damage Sensory Quills (, , ): It launches quills from the back of its tail laced in toxins, this quills blind the target and cause auditory hallucinations/deafness, also slows down creature, won´t slow player due to that being quite annoying Lunge (Press Space, , ): It lunges itself forward hitting creatures on a straight path, the creatures in its path will get the "Weakened" debuff, which denies any armor Climb: The Aerosteon is able to climb up walls the same way a Deinonychus would by leaping, if you press space will climbing the Aerosteon will drop down, if the “Mobility boost” is active you can lunge straight out of the cliffs onto enemies the same way a Thyla would Passive abilities: Carrion harvesting: Can harvest corrupt modules 2x more efficiently and every other resource 1.5x, he gets argy healing when eats corpses and corrupt nodules heal 20 health Pack Boost: A pack boost which can be obtained when up to 4 Aeros are together, works the same way as any other pack boost Harvest Reward: After harvesting 5 creatures your meter will fill up allowing you to choose 1 of 3 buffs -Damage buff: He gets faster attack speed and higher damage, and the effects of his attack last longer -Mobility boost: Gets more speed, and the lunge is able to go further, unlocks the ability to lunge while climbing like a Thyla -Health regen: Gets defense buff and regenerates a flat amount of health Taming Method: To tame the Aerosteon you must bring a corpse to it, once it eats it the taming process will begin, it will turn invisible you'll have to track it and interact with it, then it will turn back to normal and allow you to feed it corrupted hearts to gain affinity, then again it will turn invisible once more, rinse and repeat until tamed QoF Features and Uses: Quill Corrupted Meat: This bunch of meat is full of quill toxin and can be fed to sleeping dinos to reset their taming effectiveness or to tamed dinos to reset their levels (Only crafted in Aeros inventory) Craft: 350 corrupt nodules, 10 meat, 5 quills, 30 corrupt hearts PvP design and uses: This creature is designed to be a support mount, it can get into the head of combat of course, but the way you would want to use it is by keeping it in the side lines using the sensory quills against mounted creatures and survivors, while also using the lunge attack against soakers to be able to kill them more effectively by denying armor Aerosteon also works as a scouting mount, by using the phase ability and climbing ability you can spy on your enemies bases/fobs while they gear up, this also allows you to get into strategic places to give you a better fighting chance PvE design and uses: As for PvE this brings a general combat mount to the table but also some QoL changes such as the Quill Corrupted Meat which works to reset the taming effectiveness of creature bringing it up to a 100% instantly, done for those times where a stupid compy attacks your 150 knocked stego and then you have to wake it up again just to get the effectiveness up to 100%. Also works as a Mindwipe for tamed dinos since being able to repurpose creature would make life less tedious, no more breeding two argies for different purposes, now you can repurpose it once you don't need it for a specific thing anymore Also vote for Darwin and Hatze, they are EXTRA cool Image by LouisBio! Thank you Louis 🫂
  6. We'll be back again, NEXT TIME SPACE COWBOY! No Need for Copycats, when Pangolin shall return in the next votes until success or the map is absolutely incorrect.
  7. Wild: I swear these dinosaurs keep getting weirder and weirder with exposure to the corrupt element, First i see dinosaurs enveloped by the stuff and now this one specifically looks for and hunts them and eats it off them.... And that's not even the craziest part! This one uses the eaten corrupt element to its advantage. When this creature consumes the corrupted nodules off creatures, that is when things get interesting, to say the least. Its mouth starts to drip elemental corruption, which it then uses to its advantage to "infect" Other creatures and turn them corrupted and make food for its self. Like a king recruiting subjects. It can also use a specialized call to summon surrounding corrupted creatures for a bit or even ones it recently infected. If Anyone were to tame this king surely they'd have an army to fight for them! i hope there is a way to make me immune to this. Domesticated: To domesticate this wild beast you have to kill corrupted creatures and drag the corpse to it, although be careful one wrong move, and it could be over faster than it started. When tamed this create is a king with its bite, when it eats corrupted nodules it gains an infection bite then when it bites a normal creature it infects them for a bit turning them into a corrupted version of themself for a bit, when this happens it can't happen to the same creature do to an immune system response for a while. Also, this creature can use a certain sound it can produce to make corrupted creatures follow it into battle for a bit. Now for this feature, i figure you can use the RTS mode or let it be like a yuti effect! Creature Overview: This creature would be an apex, like a giga or its counterpart! it would also give people a way to kinda counter mass soaking with the bite and commanding said creatures back. It would also add an interesting mechanic kinda like the noglin but not really! please feel free to input opinions and suggestions! It would be roaming around the corrputed areas looking for prey or pawns
  8. Name: Mosquito Species Name: Burmaculex Antiquus Time Period: Late Cretaceous to Modern Day Diet: Omnivorous Temperament: Territorial Introduction Mosquitoes have been around for millions of years. According to fossil records, one of the oldest known mosquitoes, Burmaculex Antiquus, dates back to the late Cretaceous. While there isn’t much information on the prehistoric ancestors of mosquitos, we can assume they were no different from their modern-day descendants. Since these creature votes require a prehistoric animal to be submitted, I have chosen Burmaculex Antiquus for the species since there is more information on the wiki about it than others. The question is; what would it be like in Ark? Since this submission is geared toward creating an exclusive creature for Extinction, there is an opportunity to play with the creature’s abilities. Perhaps due to the element that has infected the world, the mosquito has had to evolve into something different in order to survive like the gasbag. So, here’s my take on the mosquito if it came to the map. Note: If you're wondering about the omnivorous thing, apparently mosquitoes drink plant juices as well as animal blood. I don’t know if only some species do this, or all can. Just wanted to add it in. Wiki page on Mosquito: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mosquito Wiki page on Burmaculex Antiquus: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Burmaculex_antiquus Wild Found in the wastelands of extinction, Mosquitoes could be found flying around water sources. About the size of Meganeura or Titanomymra, the creatures in the area don’t seem to notice when the bugs attach themselves to their bodies and feed off them. Not even the more violent corrupted variations seem to mind. What is odder is that the mosquitoes would rather go for the nearest corrupted creature than the regular ones. Once the mosquitoes have had their fill, they would return to a nest and deposit what they have collected. Unlike bees, several mosquitos would occupy the nest without a queen. When survivors approach the mosquitoes, they may or may not bother to attach themselves depending on what players have on them. Element or Tek-based equipment would attract them and if they latch on to the survivor, they would not only lose health slowly but durability or energy from their equipment. Like with leeches, the way players would remove them would be to use a campfire or heat source to burn the suckers off. Or use Bug Repellant. Attacking them would provoke them to attack and the survivors may find themselves being swarmed. Harvesting them when killed would yield chitin and raw meat with a rare chance of corrupted nodules which also drop from corrupted creatures. Taming When it comes to taming a mosquito, the idea would be to tame them with offerings. This offer would be corrupted nodules or other element-based resources such as dust, shards, ore, or just element itself. The mosquito would attract itself to the survivor and consume the element resource. Depending on which element is used in the taming process would be more effective. Dust being the least and element the most. Very similar to Bloodshalkers and Desmodus. Note: Considering how dangerous the wastelands are with corrupted creatures spawning rapidly, I didn’t want to make the taming too complex. Once Tamed Once tamed, the mosquito could be carried around like a shoulder pet. In its inventory, the survivor would be able to craft a mosquito nest that the creature can inhabit. Placing it down like a beehive, the survivor could assign a maximum of 5 to 10 mosquitoes to it. Unlike the bees, the bugs would be able to leave the nest if the survivor wishes and the nest could also be destroyed without destroying them. After being assigned to a nest, mosquitoes would fly off to feed on creatures. Bringing back corrupted nodules. Inside the nest, corrupted nodules would start appearing as the mosquitoes go to work. Not only would it be a way of generating the polymer substitute but over time, the nest would turn it into a new resource called Liquefied Element. This resource would be used in serval different ways such as powering Tek-based structures, fuel for generators and equipment, and creating element. Purification The main reason why I chose the mosquito was to find a way of taming corrupted creatures other than through mods. I doubt that the devs would allow us to tame corrupted creatures in the usual ways (depending on the species), so I came up with an idea to make it possible. As previously stated, Mosquitoes would go out into the world and find the nearest corrupted creature to feed from. What if the mosquitoes would not only harvest the corrupted nodules from the creature but also cure it, slowly turning the creature into a regular version? Thus, allowing survivors to tame it. How could we see that the purification process is happening? Visually speaking, we would see the purple corruption of the creature slowly disappear. Using a spyglass or magnifying glass to see what percent the creature has been purified. Alternatively, instead of changing into a regular creature, the mosquitoes would turn the creature into a purified version. Changing the corrupted purple color into a purified blue. It would not be tamed afterward though. The survivor would have to tame it the usual way. Either way, if the creature was left alone for too long, the corruption would return. Conclusion It's more than likely players would rather have a bigger and rideable version of the mosquito. Capable of attaching itself to a corrupted creature like the Deinonychus and drinking its fluids. However, I felt like it would be too similar to the Rhyniognatha in appearance since it would be another giant rideable bug. So, I opted for something smaller, giving it a supporting role. The purpose overall was to find a way of making a creature that allowed us to tame corrupted creatures which would not only allow players to tame high levels but possibly a new variant. But this is just my take on the Mosquito. What do you think? Note: It came down between the Mosquito or Chickenosaurus for this submission and truth be told, the latter was silly.
  9. Vulpes zerda/macrotis (FOX) This solitary fox likes to hide in burrows located near tundra biomes or the desert. Its pelt color makes it difficult to be seen in the desert or even in the dark. Most of the times you will find it alone but there is a chance you'll sight it resting with other Vulpes. It loves hiding on burrows or dark places to rest and stay isolated from everything. Whenever there is an intruder wandering its territory it'll stay hidden but can be spotted by its bright eyes. It is capable of detecting nearby enemies pretty easily, be wary of its sharp teeth and claws and dont let its fluffy tail distract you , it may seem cute but it is lethal enough to protect its territory from a large variety of creatures. VULPES Buffs/Debuffs abilities Damage abilities Tracking abilities (Improved shadowmane) speed on the ground Touching any kind of sand will give you a speed and jump boost Bigger than direwolf but smaller than a shadowmane. Can ride it without saddle but wont be able to use any of its modes if the shaddle isn't equipped. When a female and a male are together nearby breeding dinos they have a bigger chance of developing color mutations on newborn dinos VULPES ABILITIES: Vulpes is able to switch between 2 modes , Alert ( damage ) mode where it will have its ears pointing backwards, show its teeth and its tail will wag nervously. Then, relax mode ( support) where it will have its ears pointing upwards and calm itself. Vulpes BASE KIT ABILITIES: Vulpes is able to bite any dino corpse to search the nearest highest level dino of that same species wich was bitten. Vulpes is able to passively give nearby dinos a range detection improvement, this passive is able to make nearby dinos (like parasaurs) increase their detection range, in this case, a parasaur will be able to increase a few meters its radar. Maybe sandflame has bonds with other dinos. Vulpes able to wall bounce due to its high agility and energy, at the same time, he can dash and make high jump from land . (When sandflame is on damage mode , he has traits of an aggresive fox at that moment , when he is on support mode he shows traits of a relaxed fox) Vulpes DAMAGE MODE ABILITIES: -Vulpes BITES BUT IT ALSO HAS A BAR WHICH CAN BE FILLED PASSIVELY WHEN BEING EXPOSED A LARGE PERIOD OF TIME TO HIGH TEMPERATURES AND MANUALLY BY GIVING IT SAND , SULFUR ... WHEN THIS BAR IS FULLY CHARGED, SANDFLAME WILL START CAUSING HEAT STROKES TO ENEMIES THAT GET BITTEN BY IT. WHENEVER ITS BAR IS FILLED, NEXT TIME IT BITES WILL ACTIVATE THE BAR TIMER AND WILL BE ABLE TO APPLY THE HEATSTROKE STATUS TO ENEMIES UNTIL THE TIMER ENDS. When the bar finishes, its torpidity will increase due to the high temperatures it was exposed to but will be able to charge the bar again after a few seconds. When sandflame is able to cause heatstroke effect , a trail will start comming from its mouth and eyes to show the scorching effect it is able to cause. -Vulpes IS ABLE TO JUMP THEIR PRAY AND ATTACK WITH ITS CLAWS AFTER A SPECIFIC NUMBER OF HITS ( DEPENDING ON THE ENEMY ARMOR ) IT WILL BE ABLE TO CAUSE THE BLEEDING STATUS EFFECT. After succesfully applying bleeding its dexterity and attack speed will be faster during 20 seconds. -Vulpes IS ALSO ABLE OF AMBUSHING NEARBY ENEMIES. If it is a small prey it will be able to stun the enemy for a few seconds like raptors do. But if it is a bigger creature, it will have to bite it and attach to any body part of the enemy while its stamina drains. The enemy has the option to struggle and lose its stamina faster but kicking sandflame or to keep sandflame and lose stamina slower.(? Sandflame's jaws are lethal but not resistent enough to keep himself there so after a few seconds it will have to drop. While being attached to dinos , sandflame can parcially use its claws because it has to focus on the strenght of its jaws. While being in damage mode, sandflame is able to go faster but has less resistance. VULPES SUPPORT MODE ABILITIES: -Vulpes IS ABLE TO BITE NEARBY ALLIES ( 1 AT THE SAME TIME ) TO GIVE THEM A PROTECTION EFFECT FOR 12 SECONDS THAT WILL PREVENT ITS ALLY FROM GETTIG ANY KIND OF STUN. -Vulpes is ABLE TO REST AND PLAY WITH SAND ( MAKING IT TO BE UNABLE TO CAUSE ANY KIND OF DAMAGE OR DEFENSE WHILE ON THIS MODE , LIKE OWL FREEZE), WHILE RESTING , IT IS ABLE TO PASSIVELY HEAL NEARBY ALLIES . But it wont do it and get angry if you dont put sand on its inventory or any beautiful rock like gems. -Vulpes IS ABLE TO HOWL AND REDUCE NEARBY ALLIES NEGATIVE EFFECTS TIMER.(TORPIDITY REDUCTION AT THE SAME TIME). While being on support mode , sandflame is slower but has more resitence TAMING: To tame a Vulpes you will have to wait until nightime. When the night falls you will have to enter any burrow or cave where you know a sandflame is resting or hiding. You'll only be able to see its shinning eyes if it stays hidden. Whenever you know its position approach it and offer any beautiful gem ( red, blue or green gems ) or sulfur (but it doesnt like it as much) . Whenever it sees the gem, it will approach you and you will have to wait until it lets you pet its head . Whenever you pet it, it will stun you for 7 seconds and go away to hide again You will have to focus again on its eyes and offer gems until it finally gets tamed . Vulpes is clever and will find the perfect spot to hide from you. Art created by ManuKira On the images Im showing Im trying just to guide you through the aspect and traits it could have . Like fasolasuchus had Drawing created by NLONF The first image is the normal fox ( in real life) , the second image is a special franchise fox called "sandflame" from a special serie. The things of this fox are the special traits he has to make the base creature look cooler like the fasolasuchus.Dont use the second image as main creature . I just wanted to show the traits This is another in real life picture
  10. Common name: Koolasuchus Species: Koolasuchus Caementus Time: Cretaceous Diet: Carnivore Temperament: Ambushing Wild: Koolasuchus Caementus is the largest amphibian on the island and also the most gluttonous creature i have seen so far in the ark, sporting sizes of those of spinosaurus. It inhabits freshwater areas, being more commonly found in rivers where it ambush his preys..... These creatures stays buried in the riverbed almost all his life. Being the only sign of his pressence a column of bubbles that emerges from the riverbed. This titanic amphibian eats his prey whole, the creature opens his maws so quickly that it causes a vortex of water that leads his preys directly to his mouth. Like moderns abyssal fish Koolasuchus Caementus can double or triple the size of his stomach in order to eat preys that are even bigger than him, this sometimes leads to koolasuchus sofocating due to the extreme size of his prey. These creatures are so gluttonous that they eat everything that gets in his way, causing them to eat valuable resources, armors, weapons, etc.... Some survivor hunt them to get these valuable resources. Domesticated: When domesticated Koolasuchus Caementus proves itself as an excellent siege and support creature. It can swallow allies to save them from dangerous situations or, it can swallow enemy mounts or survivors!!!, but this incredible ability comes with his drawbacks, if Koolasuchus has swallowed an enemy or a ally, it becomes sluggish and more susceptible to damage. Also Koolasuchus can fill his stomach with acid and then it can shoot that acid as a mortar, disolving through metal structures and gear. But as said, Koolasuchus Caementus comes with probably his biggest drawback, Koolasuchus has to be wet most of the time or his skin will become fragile....... Now lets explain everything in detail: Taming: Koolasuchus can be found in freshwater areas of the map (specially in the Aberration areas of extinction) and is a passive tame, the only sign of his pressence would be a colum of bubbles that emerges from the riverbed, in order to make Koolasuchus emerge from the riverbed you will have to carefully place honey in front of him, or you will ruin the taming (i will explain this later), when Koolasuchus has emerged from the riverbed it will start to swim around, sometimes it will open his mouth, is then when you have to swim to his mouth and feed it with his favourite food honey or prime fish meat (I haven't deciced yet), after sometime you will have a tamed Koolasuchus. Now i will explain the two states of wild Koolasuchus: - Aggresive Mode: If you come to close to Koolasuchus when is buried in the riverbed, it will start attacking you, so you have to be extra careful when placing honey in front of him, when Koolasuchus is aggressive it can't be tamed, this means Koolasuchus will not reset, and will be aggressive for all eternity, disabling taming forever. But when this state is activated, Koolasuchus will drop valuable resources when killed like said in the dossier (The rarity, number of items and the value of the items will depend on Koolasuchus level). - Taming Mode: This state is activated when Koolasuchus have been unearthed from the riverbed with honey. As said Koolasuchus will start to swim around the area opening his mouth casually, letting the survivor to feed it and tame it. Fragile Mode: This state is activated when Koolasuchus dryes, the survivor will know the humidity of Koolasuchus thanks to a bar similar to giganotosaurus rage bar. When the bar reaches 0, Koolasuchus will dry, making it more succepteable to dmg and torpor, also slowing it greatly. You can recover humidity by going in water with Koolasuchus. But thanks to Koolasuchus special saddle you can carry water like a canteen, waterskin or water jar. This specialized saddle lets you carry great amounts of water that can be used to hydrate Koolasuchus when needed. This saddle lets the survivor rehydrate Koolasuchus up to 3 times. Abilities and attacks: - Left Click: Bite - Right Click: Swallow, Koolasuchus will swallow one enemy or ally, when Koolasuchus has swallowed anything his stomach will expand making him more vulnerable to all sorts of weapons and attacks, and also slowing Koolasuchus. If Koolasuchus swallows an ally, the ally will be save in Koolasuchus stomach, preventing it from receiving any damage (maybe it also heals allies inside his stomach???), to regurgigate the ally right click again, the ally can also free himself by clicking multiple times. When Koolasuchus has swallowed an enemy, the enemy inside Koolasuchus will start to receive damage gradually, the only way to scape Koolasuchus stomach is by punching from the inside of his stomach, when enough damage is deal Koolachus will regurgitate the enemy. Koolasuchus can also swallow allied and enemy mounts. - Space bar( Mortar mode): Koolasuchus will fill his stomach with acid, making it more vulnerable, and preventing it from moving. When this mode is activated, the rider of Koolasuchus will be granted a bird's-eye-view (like exo-mek). When this is activated Koolasuchus can launch acid balls to a determined position, making tons of damage to metal structures and gear, this attack is also capable of damaging tek structures. To cancel mortar mode press space bar again. To not make mortar mode OP in offline raiding (credits to Mangost for the idea) I've thought of two ways to make Koolasuchus fair for everyone, the first way would be that in order to shoot acid balls Koolasuchus would need a new item called Koolasuchus acid, this item would be passively generated inside Koolasuchus inventory each 30 minutes or so, this item would be stackeable. The second way would be that for each acid ball that Koolasuchus shoots it would lower its food stat, something like daedon with healing allies. - Pressing C(Acid ball and acid pool): When pressing c, a bar will start to fill, when filled totally Koolasuchus will fire a short distance acid ball, that deals less damage than mortar mode. If this ability is cancelled while charging Koolasuchus will make an acid pool around him, preventing melee enemies or mounts to attack him. (Some Concept art of Koolasuchus) And thats my submission, ark needs more Amphibians go team Koola. Also, if you reached this part, let me be clear, i had a bunch of creatures prepared for the next vote, but i had a mayor flaw, all the creatures i designed are marine, so i just had to recycle the old Koolasuchus submission. I even had the full drawn digitally dossiers. Let's hope Koola wins this time, it would be such a shame not having Koolasuchus in the game. We have no giant prehistoric amphibians representation. Also, i could have posted Mastodonsaurus (old submission of mine), but Mastodonsaurus being a giant siege beast just like the titans would be kinda odd in a way, idk how to explain myself really. BYEEEE!!!!
  11. Towering above the forest, looming over the Arks and high above your head stands Sauroposeidon Omniscience! Often found in small groups of two or three, Sauroposeidon spends its time living in marshy areas with plenty of plants for it to eat. They like to spend their time around trees and water, so swampy areas or other wet places like beaches and lakes are where they will most often be found. Touted as one of the tallest sauropods ever discovered, Sauroposeidon lives up to its name by being a massive animal that makes the largest predators look like compsognathus skittering around below it. Its intimidating stature means that anything in its way is likely to make room, for fear of being crushed in its wake. While not the heaviest of the Arks' titanosaurs, it makes up for its "lighter" status by being much more vigilant to approaching threats. With its towering height, Sauroposeidon is able to see farther than any other land-dwelling creature, which gives it plenty of advantage when it comes to watching out for predators - or survivors. In groups, their ability to see any approaching threat is extended, increasing the radius that they can detect danger. When a Sauroposeidon spots a threat, it bellows out to inform any other nearby creatures to flee (or fight, if they would be neutral to the threat). Considering Sauroposeidon is not the fastest animal, the advantage of knowing exactly where its natural threats are is essential to its survival. While Sauroposeidon can see more than any creature on an Ark, it doesn't exactly see better than anything. Plants and grasses tend to blend together, so Sauroposeidon will see anything that looks like a bush as a bush (ghillie!). If Sauroposeidon has trouble scanning its surrounding with its long neck, it has another tactic for finding any threats. Using a "seismic sonar", Sauroposeidon can use its weight to stomp the ground it stands on, sending out shockwaves that can detect any living thing around it that is moving around on the ground. Sauroposeidon will know exactly what is around it, and exactly where it is at the time the shockwave reached it, as long as it is moving. Anything that is not moving is much harder for the sauropod to notice, and it assumes stationary objects to be rocks or other natural formations. Any creature close to Sauroposeidon when it brings its foot down will be sent flying away a short distance, making it a useful technique not just for surveillance, but also for defense. Any tribe would love to have a Sauroposeidon to keep an eye out for enemies or predators. Taming a Sauroposeidon is a tricky task, as they are constantly on high alert. If a survivor manage to approach one without startling it, they will have to earn its trust by bonding with the giant. Waves of predators (increasing in quantity/difficulty depending on level) will spawn trying to attack Sauroposeidon, and it's up to the survivor(s) to defend the animal. Taming effectiveness is determined by how quickly waves are cleared and how many threats manage to reach the Sauroposeidon. Anything that gets close may be stomped on by the towering titan, so survivors would be wise to clear out any predators quickly, and to steer clear of those tree trunks for legs! Once all the waves are cleared, the taming process is complete. When tamed, Sauroposeidon acts like a sentry array, constantly watching for danger. Survivors will have the option to scan for other creatures, hostile creatures, other survivors, or anything that moves. The benefit of Sauroposeidon's height is that it can track larger, closer creatures most precisely, constantly revealing their position to its tribe (think Tek helmet visor), but anything beyond a certain point will just be marked (Parasaur alarm). Having multiple Sauroposeidon will increase the radius that creatures can be detected, and also slightly improves accuracy. When equipped with a saddle, a small camera will be placed in the muzzle on its head, allowing for a connection to a Tek Surveillance console. This will allow survivors to accurately track anything the Sauroposeidon can see. If equipped with a Tek saddle, Sauroposeidon's threat-detecting abilities are greatly enhanced, allowing it to track all creatures on the Ark (like S+ Transmitter). The Tek saddle has a built-in surveillance console that functions the same as the regular saddle. Sauroposeidon will still have the ability to slam its foot into the ground to send out a seismic wave and detect threats for its allies. The radius of the stomp can be increased by leveling up Sauroposeidon's weight stat. Once a threat has been detected, the tribe can decide through Sauroposeidon's radial menu how they want the situation handled: flee, fight or wait. Sauroposeidon will let out a bellow to whistle groups of the tribe's creatures to take out the threat, run from it, or stand and be ready to fight. While not exactly built for combat, Sauroposeidon is still an enormous animal that can do a lot of damage if it throws its weight around. It's height makes it difficult to do anything with its neck, but its tail can still be swung around to do damage. On top of that, it can use its weight for more than just scanning the ground: one heavy step can do a lot of damage to anything caught underneath of a Sauroposeidon. Anything that survives the crushing force of its foot will be knocked away. (I am not the best artist)
  12. Rodhocetus Kasrani Rodhocetus is a genius off early whales Wiki: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rodhocetus Name: Rodhocetus kasrani Group Mammal Time: Eocene Diet: Piscivore Temperament: Territorial/docile Rodhocteus is a amphibious whale who would be a fearsome foe on both land and sea. I feel ark`s oceans need a new BIG creature but actualy beeing abel to leave the ocean and stil be decent is preferd so I think this could be a fun creature to fit that role. It has alot off health and great damage, it`s quite fast and mobile in water but become more sluggish (while stil decent speed) while on land. Size will be simular to the astrocetus but maby a bit bigger. I feel the ocean in ark need a new BIG creature and I think it would be fun to have something that also can go on land and be decent. Dropp: Hide, meat, blubber (can be turned into oil in or used in cooking or consumed to stay warm/ regain stammina or heal carnivores), smal chance for silika pearls, black pearls and blueprint. Dossier: Rodhocteus is a name that strike fear into the heart of any seafaring surviver. This leviathan is feard and worshiped bye many often tried to catch and tamed buy multiple tribes but few even survive to tell the tail. It is a creature off duality not just because of it`s amphibious nature. I keep hearing tails off this blod thirsty monster that destroyes everything in it`s path, a creature abel to stop a ranging giga, but a few also describe it as a gentel giant who`s main food is simple fish. Even when I myself stod face to face with one it seemed more intrested in basking in the sun nothing like the stories I have heard so many told off it. And while few have succeeded a few have managed to get thees Behemoths on there side. Rodhocteus is a wounderfull sea mount as few creature dare to face it and it`s thick hide seem to protect it from the poision form the cnidaria. It has a remarkable abillity to fillter out the non edible part off it`s pray allowing it to farm large amount of chitin, hide, cementingpaste and silica and black pearls. Wild. Rodhocteus is mostly found in the centers`s oceans but can also be found basking on it`s beaches. It is mostly docile only attacking if provoked but it will turn aggresive against any raft or sea platform. It don`t agro on much else than coelacanth, megladons and leedsichthys and occasionally the nearby crustaceans. Domesticated: For those who can domesticate a rodhocetus these giants becomes wounderfull travel mounts for those who seek to explore the depths off the ocean, while as a mammal they do need oxygen rodhecetus can hold it`s breath for hours and seem to fear non off the other inhabitants off the deep. They can also serve as Cargo haulers even carring larger items and even herds of smaller creatures within it`s mouth. Rodhocetus seem to have adopted to store whater within it`s nasal cavity that it can eject at will. Some uses this ability to irrigate there crops, stop fire, relieve wounds and some just use it to cool down on a warm day. Take this with it`s majestic but intimidating bellow that seem to even intimidate the gigantosaurus rodhocetus can be great for defending and supporting your tribe and your homes. Abillities: 1 Left click Bite: A slow but powerful bite attack. 1.5 Mouth full: Hold down left click to swoop open rodhocetus`s mouth to pick up and store things in it`s mouth. It can pick up small herds off smaler creatures like wolfs. It can also scoop up parts off your base to relocate it, 2-4 foundations depending how much is on the foundations. Pressing left click again alows you to spit out creatures and survivors while holding let place down items and base parts. 2 Right click: leviathan`s Bellow Land: Rodhocetus emit a deep and powerfull bellow that disrupts all passive abillities and effects like: Ally: stops ally creatures from fear, bleeding and debuffs. Enemy: Stops passive boosts like dadedon healing, water buffs and giga and charcar rage. Water: While in water it works like ecolocation and finds wild and enemy creatures, explorer notes and reasurces like oil nodes. 3 Splash/body slam: While close to the water surface press space to luach yourself upp and slam down. this dismount enemy survivors and deals great damage to rafts and seaplatforms. the more momentum you have the greater the power. Passive: Thick blubber: Imune against torpor and cnidaria toxin. Bonus abillity: It stores water that it can blow out thru it`s blowhole to stop fire and give temporary healt regen to ally. While at the water surface blast out water thru it`s blowhole and make a rainbow like the basilosaur. Taming: To tame on for yourself you need to use rafts to wear it down. Rodhocetus will attack the raft (need multiple rafts for higher level, metal is more effective than wooden rafts) it will calm down allowing you to passive feed it. Saddle: I think a platform saddle could work well but I also se it just having a normal saddle. thank you for cheaking out my subbision hope you have a nice day.
  13. Introducing Irritator, The Stealth Spinosaurid Common name: Irritator Species: Irritator Aquafluctus Time: Early Cretaceous Diet: Carnivore / Piscivore Temperament: Opportunist Dossier: Wild: " While walking along the beach I had a surprising sight, an Irritator resting close to the shore, this spinosaurid easily identifiable by its crest and streamlined body is a fast and agile predator, adept at stealthy ambushes and quick pursuits. More than an ambusher the Irritator is an opportunistic specialist in taking advantage of the environment around him, which makes him secure his place near the top of the terrestrial and aquatic food chain. " Domesticated: " Taming an Irritator is not easy, however the tribes that have managed to tame this spinosaurid say it is worth the risk, those who manage to tame this creature are rewarded with a very versatile loyal semi-aquatic companion. With proper training your Irritator can be ridden on battle or used to cross bodies of water quickly, and thanks to its innate agility and impressive capabilities grant its rider the advantage in underwater combat, making it an invaluable mount for both underwater exploration and combat. " Introduction: Hello survivors, all quiet? I hope so, I present The Stealth Spinosaurid, The Irritator. The Irritator is a spinosaurid similar to Baryonyx, it would be a medium spinosaurid being smaller than Spinosaurus but larger than Baryonyx, the main idea is to be a versatile semiaquatic mount playing the role of marine exploration mount in PvE and stealth combat mount or combat support in PvP. Wild: The Irritator is mostly found on beaches and rivers where it spends most of its time resting or hunting. Face to face with a player the Irritator will act peacefully, but it's better not to let your guard down when you're close to him because the Irritator can even be a predator, but above all he's an opportunist and will attack you when you least expect. Like other carnivores, when seriously injured, the Irritator will not hesitate to run away, but before running away, the Irritator will emit a high-pitched roar that will make all nearby creatures angry, making them attack you and will take this opportunity to escape into the water. Taming process: To tame this spinosaurid, you must complete 2 steps: The first step is to drag a fish close to him, as soon as he eats the fish you must be quick and mount him, soon after you mount him he will run towards the water where he will dive in order to drown him. and if that doesn't work he will try to knock you off him and when he tries to do that you must feed him fish meat. As soon as you feed him, the second stage will begin where after he is fed he will calm down allowing you to guide him and when he does that you must hunt fish with him until he is tame. Tamed: Once you've tamed him you don't need a saddle to ride him, however his saddle will be much more useful for those who want to explore the oceans as his saddle has a built in scuba. Once tamed, the Irritator makes the perfect sea exploration mount, being an incredibly fast swimmer and having the strength to take on any sea creature that opposes you and your Irritator, plus out of the water the Irritator can store water in its throat that you can use to attack other creatures or to refresh you and your creatures by granting the hydrated effect to yourself and your allies. Saddle: The Irritator's saddle is unlocked at level 55 with his saddle the Irritator gains a new passive skill "Aqueous Ambush", in addition, the Irritator's saddle has a built-in scuba Description: The Irritator saddle is equipped with an advanced stealth technology that allows the rider to initiate a swift and stealthy aquatic ambush. When activated, the Irritator submerges itself and its rider in water, becoming nearly invisible to enemies above the surface. While submerged, the Irritator's movement speed is significantly increased, and its attacks deal bonus damage upon resurfacing for a surprise strike. Aqueous Ambush: Activation Cost: Moderate amount of stamina Cooldown: 90 seconds Duration: 10 seconds (submerged) The "Aqueous Ambush" ability offers a tactical advantage for hit-and-run tactics and ambushes. Players can use this ability to quickly close the gap between their target while hidden underwater, deliver a powerful strike, and then disappear back below the surface. This ability is particularly useful for surprising enemies, escaping dangerous situations, or dealing a devastating blow in PVP engagements. Effects: - Upon activation, the Irritator and its rider dive underwater, becoming nearly invisible from the surface. - The Irritator will be slowed down while using this skill. - Attacks performed while resurfacing have a bonus damage and inflict a brief disorienting effect on the target. Actions: Left Click: Venomous Bite, Irritators possess a venomous bite that inflicts not only immediate damage but also lingers, dealing continuous harm over time. Furthermore, their bites weaken the stamina of targets, reducing their ability to escape. Hold Right Click: Suction, Irritator uses its suction ability to store water in its throat and then spit it out at its enemies or its allies. (The more oxygen points it has the more water it can store) R: Sniper Mode (Similar to Velonasaur), in this mode the Left Click will now be a shot of a chargeable water projectile that deals damage if carried can cause stun and the Right Click becomes a water jet that deals damage to the player and the mount in addition to having a great knockback. X: Disorienting Screech, by emitting a piercing screech, Irritators can disorient and stun nearby enemies for a brief period, granting themselves and their allies a window of opportunity to strike. C : Tail Spin: The Irritator have a powerful tail spin attack that knocks back and deal damage enemies in a radius around it. This could be particularly effective for dealing with groups of smaller creatures. Ctrl: Fountain, Irritator will fire stored water upwards spraying water in a circular area granting the hydrate bonus to self and allies. (This ability grants the hydrated bonus even to creatures that don't normally have this effect, such as Carnotaurus, Baryonyx, and Tyranosaurus) Passive Skills: - Deals double damage against aquatic creatures such as mantas, plesiosaurus, dunkleosteus and megalodons. - Eating fish will give you increased health regeneration speed (Same as Argentavis buff when eating dead animals) - The more the Irritator runs the faster it will get (Same applies in water) - Has the hydrated effect (Same effect as Spino, Tropical Wyvern and Shadowmane) Increases damage, movement speed and health regeneration. - Irritator have a immunity to Cnidaria and Electrophorus stun. Utility & Scenarios: PvE: The Irritator in this scenario could play the role of a water mount, as it has a high speed of movement in the water and strength enough to face the dangers that the ocean has to offer, in addition its skills with water can help you on land thanks to its ability to hydrate itself with the water it stores in its throat. PvP: In this scenario the Irritator can play the role of Support for allied creatures since its ability to splash water in an area gives its allies the hydrated effect making them faster and cause more damage, besides that it can also serve as turret protecting your base with your water projectiles that can cause stun being excellent against flying creatures being able to knock them down making them subject to attacks on land.
  14. Welcome survivors, thank you for visiting our proposal ! The Red Panda is a beautiful creature and very loved by people, especially on the internet, personally it is my favorite animal and I would like this friendly creature to our Ark universe, here is an idea of how it can be implemented on the Aberration map, please consider supporting our creature as it will help to have a better quality of life for all players, either for PVP or PVE. For our version of Ark we will use the closest and most extinct relative of the current Red Panda; I'm talking about Pristinailurus Bristoli. Most of the time I have invested has been in official servers, much of this time is invested in the theme of breeding and care of babies, either to prepare an army for the bosses, for mutations or simply for use in the world of Ark, breeding is an essential element of the game and a fundamental pillar in the theme of advancing in the game, grow and get the desired Tek. Pristinailurus Bristoli will be your ideal companion for breeding, their friendly and playful behavior, they are the ideal companion to take care of your hatchlings, imprint them and even help with mutations ! It's time we have a creature that is important for breeding, as much as the Maewing, to give life to the best map of Ark: Aberration, and what better than a friendly Red Panda, curious and playful for this task, an ideal shoulder companion to use when you are breeding your creatures. |--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| Common Name: Red Panda Species: Pristinailurus Bristoli Time: Late Miocene Diet: Omnivore Temperament: Curious/Friendly |--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| Habitat: This friendly creature would be counted in the fertile area near the most wooded parts of the place, centered mostly in the portal area where we all usually appear for the first time in this map, this is to help less experienced people to get this creature. It can also appear in the blue area of the map, but in smaller quantities, being a creature that is not fighter is easy prey for predators such as Nameless, Raptors, etc. |--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| Domestication: Pristinailurus Bristoli is friendly and playful in nature, after finding one of these Pandas, its way of domestication will be in a passive way, but unique. To tame a Red Panda we must live with him, the creature will approach you in a curious way if you are close to its range of interaction (very similar to the Ferox when it approaches you when you have element in your inventory) this creature will try to play with you, it will make pirouettes, spins and jumps to get your attention, if you spend too much time near it, it will enable the taming asking for a caress, similar to the Hyaeodon, this is to start the taming process. During this process, the Red Panda will do a series of cute and playful animations, until he asks you for the next interaction, now instead of a petting we will have to give him a food of the player's choice if the Panda asks for it (the best would be kibble, honey, prime meat, etc) or doing some funny gesture or animation of our character (dances work quite well). After feeding the Panda (or any interaction it asks for), its taming bar will go up and you will have to repeat this action until you tame it, keep in mind that the Red Panda may move away from you as it is a very sociable creature, after eating, it will move a bit away from your area, make sure you are within its range of vision so it will come back to you. Once tamed, you can carry it on your shoulder like any other creature of this category (Otter, Ferox, Sinomacrops, etc). |--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| Skills: Pristinailurus Bristoli is 100% focused on improving the quality of life of Ark breeders, especially the x1 official server players who have invested like me, thousands and thousands of hours breeding our favorite creatures, developing mutation chains, or searching for colors in the different regions of the creatures. Whether for the experienced breeder coming from Ark Survival Evolved, or for the newbie starting his adventure in Ark, Pristinailurus Bristoli will be your best friend for breeding. This creature is the ideal companion for your hatchlings, as it will take care of them by adding the imprint of the owner of the creature (the Red Panda must have the common foods in its inventory that are requested during the imprints, berries, prime meats, etc) it has the ability to give cuddles to other creatures to continue the imprint making the life of the officer player easier, that in these times, it is increasingly difficult to stay long watching how a baby grows and ask for imprint every 8 hours. Combining the Maewing with Pristinailurus Bristoli will be the dynamic duo for breeding ! Pristinailurus Bristoli can help you with mutations ! but slow and passive collecting is required. Leaving the Red Panda roaming in a safe area, especially near bushes and vegetation allows it to generate a unique item (similar to the Desmodus elixir) a consumable that can be given to females to stimulate X% chance of getting a mutation (I suggest an edible insect or a berry), this will help now that we will be starting over in Ark Survival Ascended, as there will be no top creatures but it will also help players looking to get their own mutations. Either because they like to play alone, or because they play in a local game, this will not replace the original mechanic of getting mutations, and it does not ensure that the mutation will appear in some stat of your interest, but with this I hope it will help to reduce the amount of creatures that you have to use to get the low percentage of appearance when it exceeds 20 mutations, improving the stability of the official servers, by not having 300 females in a giant structure causing lag and graphical load. Carrying Pristinailurus Bristoli on your shoulder gives you hypothermic insulation, as Aberration is a very hot map for most players, carrying it on your shoulders will help regulate your temperature and you will not lose life due to the heat. To have a balance with this creature, you can limit the amount you can have in the zone or tribe, just like a standard or taxidermy platform will have a limited amount of these creatures to not abuse the ability of mutations, somehow I trust that Studio Wildcard can put brakes on this creature so that its use is not abusive, this thought for PVP people, the idea is that this creature improves the quality of life of the players, but will not replace 100% your presence in breeding. |--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| This would be all for the moment, any suggestions are welcome and comments that help to improve the concept will be very appreciated, I will update this post confirming that information should be added and to improve the idea that I want to express with this creature, let's make the Red Panda a reality in Ark ! thank you very much for your support !
  15. Torvosaurus, a robust jurassic theropod, related to the megalosaurus, has travelled for miles to get the crown as the apex predator on Aberration. Torvosaurus wonders on the Surface to kill his only opponent, the Reaper King. Hellp him to complete his glorious hunt and he will become your trusted "big Megalosaurus brother"! Torvosaurus is a genus of two species: torvosaurus tanneri and torvosaurus gurneyi. This second one was the largest predator in the entire Europe. he had a robust body, and was quite heavier than the most known Allosaurus. He comes from the same family of the Megalosaurus (their family is called Megalosauridae). After this short introduction, I want to explain the characteristics of this new dino that I would like to introduce in the surface of Aberration; this section of the map isn't very interesting, as you can only explore it at night and only for drops (which aren't the best drops of the game). Plus, this place is very dangerous, so it is generally ignored. With the introduction of the Torvosaurus, this place may get a greater utility. LORE The torvosaurus has reached the Aberration lands to hunt the surface reaper kings, his greatest rival. He only wants glory for his family, and he is ready to die if this means protecting his smaller brother, the megalosaurus; this is why the Torvosaurus hunts alone, while the smaller brother chills in other Aberration regions. Fierce of his strong ignoring armor bite and his charge attack (similar to the Rhino), the torvosaurus truly knows that he can take down some reaper kings, before passing out. WILD The torvosaurus is only found in the surface, as his lore explains, where he just hunts other reaper kings. He mainly lives without any mate. He ignores any other living being (excluding if they are brave enough to fight this reaper killer). He can smell the reaper pheromone gland, and the torvosaurus will confuse any survivor with a reaper. He doesn't despawn when the day comes to the surface, he hides underground so it can be found again the following night. DOMESTICATED Taming a Torvosaurus involves a great hunt that must be conducted exclusively with his true smaller brother, the megalosaurus. If this creature, ridden by a survivor, roars in front of the Torvosaurus, he will roar back and will start exploring around, searching for surface reaper kings. When the survivor, still riding the megalosaurus, and the wild Torvosaurus will have killed enough reaper kings, the big brother will be truly glorified and he will get to the step 2: sacrificing a baby reaper king that is still inside the survivor. This must be conducted by dismounting the megalosaurus (the torvosaurus doesn't attack anything unless provoked) and consuming a reaper pheromone gland: the Torvosaurus will react by smelling in the air, aiming at you and will kill the reaper king inside the survivor, damaging him and leaving him with 1 HP, as the reaper queen. At this point, he will be instantly tamed. the levels of the wild surface reaper kings will affect just the speed of the step 1, while the level of the reaper king inside the survivor (which can go up to 225 on official servers) will directly affect the taming effectiveness. Skipping the step 1 will result in a Torvosaurus still not glorified by the greatest hunt of his life and will just become aggressive to the player. ABILITIES, WHILE WILD AND TAMED 1) Both while wild and tamed, the Torvosaurus hides underground to escape the terrible conditions of the Aberration Surface during the day, so he doesn't despawn after a single night. He doesn't dig underground in any other place in all the Ark universe, only when he will need to escape the Aberration Surface day conditions. 2) Both while wild and tamed, his bite ignores any natural armor, making him very strong against both reaper kings and queens, nameless, fenrir, shadowmanes, rock elementals and so on. Armor by saddles is not ignored. 3) Both while wild and tamed, he can find wild Reapers (Reaper Queens, Subterranean Reaper Kings and Surface Reaper Kings) like the Rock Drake, pointing with his head to their position, and he can stomp the ground to let them emerge. He cannot smell the presence of tamed Reaper Kings. The stomp can be performed everytime, but without a Reaper nearby it will be just a flex of power and greatness 4) Both while wild and tamed, he ignores the debuff from any Reaper King, so he can't be slowed by him. 5) Both while wild and tamed, he can perform some charged attacks in the style of the Rhino; the Torvosaurus peforms a dash and concludes it with a small jump that he uses to devastate his prey with a massive damage. Unlike the Rhino, he can't perform sequential charges, as they are very expensive in term of energy. the AI of the wild Torvosaurus shouldn't abuse of these charged attacks. 6) As the big brother of megalosaurus, he gives courage, strength and stamina recover to them by roaring during the day, in order to keep them awakened at their full strenght even with daylight. This ability is unlocked only if the Torvosaurus is tamed and finally gives megalosaurus the status they deserve: very powerful dino and usable during the day. The more megalosaurus get buffed by him during the day, the bigger the Torvosaurus gets debuffed, so a survivor needs to choose wether using him as a source of damage or as a megalosaurus support. 7) Still when tamed, the Torvosaurus passively produces tears in his inventory that can be consumed by the player to properly see at night. This is the reason why he can spend his whole life on the Aberration surface, hunting reapers during the night. Tears are excellent to see in the night, much better than the night visor; in this way the night won't be boring and frustrating for those great tribes who managed to get a Torvosaurus. STATISTICS Such a strong dino who can take down Reapers and that ignores natural armor needs to have an explanation for his statistics, as it is NOT intended to be a new giga and to be just a rex-like dino, with just high stats for fighting. He should have HP similar to a rex and melee damage similar to a megalosaurus (because he is intended to fight and kill some surface reaper kings before dying, while wild). His stamina consumption and regen should be similar to other big dino fighters, but his roar that boosts megalos should consume very a lot of stamina, like for a yuty. His charged jump attack must consume quite a lot of stamina, but shouldn't reduce it too much. With these stats, he should be a very strong dino but still balanced, because he can't both fight and support megalos. Now I will explain better the "support debuff". His debuff for supporting megalos could work this way: buffing 5 megalosaurus will give him a complete debuff, that should take his damage to a poor level (half of the original, that could be around 35 if he has a base melee damage similar to a megalosaurus, which is 75). Boosting more megalosaurus than 5 will still give the maximum debuff to the Torvosaurus and boosting a smaller number will give a minor debuff (each megalo will cause 20% of the maximum debuff). Here are some examples: boosting 2 megalos will result in a debuff that is 40% of his max quantity; if the max debuff halves his damage from around 70 to 35, a 40% of this debuff should take his base damage to 57. boosting 4 megalos will result in a 80% debuff, which will take his base damage to 42. boosting 18 megalos (for example in a bossfight) will give him a complete debuff, taking his base damage to 35. It should be the same debuff for boosting 5,6,7 and so on megalos... up to hundreds. Obviously all the numbers given by me are just suggestions and extimations; I tryed to make him balanced to a rex, a megalo, a spino or an allosaurus, not too stronger. Since I still consider the Torvosaurus a bit stronger than other big theropods, I would suggest a breeding that requires around 12 hatching hours (egg) and about 6 days to be fully grown (everything is half of a giga/carcha). Thanks to all of those guys who patiently read my Torvosaurus idea I hope some of you will appreciate him and will vote this big megalosaurus brother.
  16. Thank you for taking the time to look at my submission about the Villebrunster. I have always considered ark to more than just a game. I am always fascinated by the amount of new creatures in the game that I have never heard of before. It causes me to research and look up more about the creatures. While looking at other creature submissions and previous votes, I saw a lot of recurring creatures or creatures that were very similar. I wanted to add a bit more diversity to the ark voting and have a new unique species come into ark. Sadly I am no artist, so I wouldn't be able to provide original art. I can however provide pictures of Villebrunaster! I hope you enjoy my submission, The Villebrunaster! VILLEBRUNASTER Common name: Villebrunaster Species: Asterozoa Time: Ordovician Period Diet:Carnivore/Pescatavore Temperament: Neutral DOMESTICATION Tamable: Yes Breedable: Yes Rideable: Yes Image of Villebrunaster WILD: Villebrunastar is a unusually large species of starfish that had adapted to live on land rather than in the water. It is an incredibly tough and resilient creature that would best be described as a tank with suction cups. It's hard outer shell and it's ability to climb up nearly any vertical surface makes it very hard to kill but also a very unusual sight. Many would expect a Thylocean or Purlovia to fall down on them from the trees or in the caves only to have a starfish fall on their heads. It's multiple limbs give it the ability to climb and also have the ability to regrow themselves after a fight. Even without their arms they can still climb using the suction cups located on their main body. Here is where I could imagine Villebrunaster spawning. Up at the top drawing seekers to it's mouth. DOMESTICATED: The Villebrunastar is a carnivorous creature that mainly eats Squid bats but has a love of Karakinos claws which prove very effective in taming it. It can be given a saddle and ridden, though many think that this looks quite ridiculous as the rider has to ride in the creatures mouth. Aside from being very silly looking, it is also rather slow and despite it being able to put up a fight; many people use them for their utility. I have seen large fights with Villebrunaster losing all their arms, and despite being armless; Villebrunaster always seems to be able to make a great escape. I envision Villebrunaster being a tank/support. I do believe we don't need any more dps tames on aberration. Let us not upset the balance of the wildlife on aberration. Sure they might be able to do alright damage, but I would like them to never do more than a rock drake or reaper. Villebrunastar Taming: You will first need to lure them off the ceiling by hitting them with plant species z fruit. After they are on the ground, you will then need to destroy all of its arms. Destroying its arms causing it to run away. After a while it will return to where it lost it's limbs though it is unknown as to why. Perhaps it wants to try and eat it's lost limbs to replenish it's energy, or perhaps it wants to take revenge on it's attacker. Once it return it is possible to climb into the creatures mouth and feed it. It has a wide variety of tastes including Karakinos claws, plant species Z fruit, and raw prime meat. After feeding it the Villebrunastar will calm down and eventually become friendly towards the person who fed it. Each arm takes around 10 minutes to grow back. While taming, if more than 3 grow back you will need to attack it again to remove the arms, during which you will lose affinity. A example of what I would imagine its mouth looking like. ( It has evolved in aberration. Its lifestyle caused its mouth to be above its body instead of underneath). Abilities/Attacks: First Attack- Basic attack where it lifts one arm up and slams it down to knockback and deal damage to enemies. Second Attack- Bite attack(Will only be able to bite from above its mouth) Third Attack- Lifts up all arms above mouth and slams them down to create a shockwave similar to a wyverns wing attack. This attack deals decent damage if all arms hit, knocks enemies back and slows them. Fourth Attack- Grabs a target with one of it's arms, it can either slam them down, throw them, or carry them somewhere else. This could be useful for taming and transport of creatures. Each arm can carry one creature but after carrying 3 or more it loses the ability to climb. Fifth Ability- Cycles through skin types similar to a Stego. You can choose between Rock mode which increaes defense or Spike mode which enables reflect damage. Sixth ability- (Requires no arms) Will release pheromones calming enemies for a time. This allows Villebrunaster to possibly escape. Seventh Ability- Can cycle through the types of light it gives off. 1) simple light 2) damage boosting light to nearby allies 3) health regen light to nearby allies 4) damage resist to nearby allies 5) weaponized light that acts like a flashbang to stun and deal damage to enemies (Activation is on a different key and you will see a bar indicating your flashbang is charged. Will use all your charge and damage scales depending on how much charge you used). These are just ideas of abilities to hopefully catch peoples and wildcards eyes. Some additional images Image of a asterozoa I encourage everyone if they have a different idea for Villebrunaster to share it! Thank you again for stopping by and reading!
  17. Species: Chaoyangsaurus🦎 Time: Late Jurassic🌤️ Diet: Herbivore🌿 Temperament: Passive defender🕶️ 💚Wild🦎 Chaoyangsaurus in the wild is a lively, social creature often traveling together with other passive creatures. They are friendly enough to come right up to you and look you over before venturing off to explore its surroundings. Enjoying warmer temperatures and lower climates with lush fauna or shrubs. Being no stranger to the aquatic life you can also find them in the swamplands. The Chaoyangsaurus is also fiercely loyal, and while it won't outwardly attack you, it will always rush to the defense of the passive creatures around it that are under attack, so be careful when hunting where these quick loyal defenders roam with other creatures. 💚Domesticate🦎 Chaoyangsaurus is a very curious and friendly creature that loves visual stimulation If you can lead one to your home it will often times settle right in with you. While not large enough to ride, the Domesticated Chaoyangsaurus makes for an excellent companion retaining their fierce loyalty and helping you in your day to day activities. Once a harness is crafted for them they are more than happy to hold your food and narcotics for you, and will even help you feed your tames in surrounding area! 💚Behavior🦎 The Chaoyangsaurus is a passive, friendly animal that is full of curiosity, often running up to new creatures that come into its path. Though they will never strike first once they or a fellow creature is in danger they will rush to the defense of others. 💚Passive Tame🦎 Chaoyangsaurus enjoys visual stimulation above all. Feed it it's favorite treat of a rare flower and it will follow you for a time. Leading it through your base, or other structures you have built will slowly tame it, the more advanced your build is, the faster it will tame, and the more different things for it to examine will raise it's efficiency. 💚Combat🦎 The Chaoyangsaurus is far from a fighter, but better than nothing. They will attempt a sweeping tale attack to knock back smaller creatures. While this attack is indeed weak it will not effect taming effectiveness of an unconscious creature. 💚Utility🦎 The Chaoyangsaurus is a early to mid game companion creature. Larger than your shoulder friends, but smaller than a raptor these fast creatures strive to be your best friend! If you fall unconscious they will try to wake you with gentle nudges. Once you build the harness for the Chaoyangsaurus They have a high carrying capacity for Berries🍇, meats🥩 and narcotics🐍. They can also be strapped onto other tames that have saddles, although they will need your help to detach from them. They will work as feeding troughs for your tames, automatically feeding them the most beneficial food and narcotics to nearby unconscious creatures, but will have no effect on passive tames. The harness can also be used as a mobile mortar and pestle. 💚Extras🦎 Chaoyang is not only a curious and intelligent creature but an obedient one, able to learn commands such as sit, or laydown, or play dead.🦎
  18. Ok, you might be wondering why it says "again" in the title, I had thought of suggesting another creature, however, looking at the aberration context, I strongly believe that this is a very good concept for this map, and would fit quite well in its gameplay (in my opinion) "let's do this one last time" Guanlong Wucaii is a species of dinosaur that lived at the end of the Jurassic period, approximately 156 million years ago, in Asia. Its name means "Crown Dragon" due to the crest on its head, This was one of the first species of Tyrannosaurus, unlike this one, it had three fingers on its front legs instead of the two already known from the rex. From its hind legs you can see that it was a fairly fast and agile predator. Before we talk about its abilities, I'd like to highlight a couple of basic things I'd like this creature to have: -Its base Health is similar to that of a Thyla -Low weight: it is a light and fast animal, it cannot carry so much weight. -His skills use a lot of energy -It has a moderate base attack, but makes up for it with a 5 second duration bleed, which doesn't stack, but does reset after each attack. -is one of the fastest creatures on the Ark WILD: The creature will appear in the wild in groups of 3, which, like Raptor or Deinonychus, will have an alpha which will be the highest level Guanlong. When Guanlong detects a player, two things can happen, first: If guanlong is not in the player's field of vision, it will imitate a random roar of the strongest creatures on the island such as Rex, Carcha or Giga, in the case of being in the player's field of vision, Guanlong will begin to attack the player directly. Domestication: To tame a Guanlong, you must avoid being detected by it, be it with a camouflage suit or a hot soup, then you must separate it from its group, either killing them or distracting them, having him far enough away from his group, you must feed him rotten meat, which will raise his unconsciousness until he sleeps, after that just feed it meat until it is tamed. Tamed: He has a pack roar, when using it he receives 15% speed and 25% attack, it lasts about 100 seconds, but has a 30 second cooldown. Guanlong can emit high and low frequency sounds, it can even imitate animal sounds, the latter can be used to intimidate or annoy survivors with terrifying roars, or to specifically attract large creatures, such as Carcharodontosaurus or Yutyrannus, which will target Guanlong and start chasing him, which is perfect for putting creatures into traps or making it possible for another player to shoot at it from another side. High and low frequency sounds can make a big difference in PVP or PVE, as they will stun large and small creatures for a short amount of time, depending on the animal that you want to stun, you must raise or lower the sound frequency, the bigger the animal, the less stun time it will have, for example, a Giga would be stunned for 2.5 to 3 seconds, a Titanosaur might be stunned for 2 seconds, a Raptor for 9 seconds and a Dodo for 15 seconds (although I don't know why you would attack a Dodo), obviously this ability will have a cooldown of 20-30 seconds. Guanlong can also buff his allies using his ability, giving them 30% more stamina for 12 seconds. but then you may wonder: What happens if we put many guanlongs in a row? During the cooling time a player could get off one, and get on another... but the solution I came up with is the following: if there are more than 3 Guanlongs in an area (I didn't think of a specific radius), and one uses its sound ability, the rest of the Guanlongs will be stunned for twice as long as the stunned enemy creature, if there are only 3 guanlongs in the area, and one is on cooldown, when you get on another and use its ability, it will stun the enemy for 25% less time, in addition to depleting three times the stamina of the Guanlong used. Here a dossier that I had done a while ago sorry for my bad english...again
  19. TL;DR: Medium sized carnivore / fungivore passive unless touched, secretes toxic threads on its teeth and on quills it can fling at targets, bite and quills inflict slowness while increasing the damage and torpidity a target takes, quills can immobilize small targets and slow larger ones. Also produces Narcotic substitute Toxic Threads, which spoil into Cottonlike Threads used to repair armor and create backup armor that is automatically equipped when armor breaks. Dossier Transcription Common Name: Qianzhou Species: Qianzhousaurus radiorumtextor Time: Late Cretaceous Diet: Carnivore / Fungivore Temperament: Aggressive (when touched) Wild A species of Tyrannosaurid once only considered peculiar due to its abnormally elongated head, the Qianzhousaurus radiorumtextor appears to have taken its peculiarities to an entirely new level. Most commonly found where mushrooms grow in abundance, though the Qianzhou has been observed hunting many kinds of prey less than half the size of a person, it is in fact mostly fungivorous and will usually ignore anyone within its vicinity. Unless touched, which seems to send it into an instantaneously aggressive state. The Qianzhou oddly secretes a kind of toxin coated thread from each of its many teeth and quills, that upon entering a victim’s bloodstream slows muscles while causing considerable susceptibility to injury alongside amplifying the effects of sedatives. This same thread is also present secreted around the tips of the prominent long quills intermixed amongst the feathers at the end of its tail, that the Qianzhou can fling towards adversaries to pin smaller creatures including humans while hindering larger creatures that are hit by the quills. Domesticated Some individuals who dwell near significant fungi concentrations have somehow managed to domesticate these otherwise touch intolerant creatures to such extents to saddle and ride them, claiming the Qianzhou approached them whilst they ate mushrooms in a kind of curious jealousy, then gained its trust with enough care not to touch it while feeding it a variety of fungi. A domesticated Qianzhou offers a versatile array of functions with its unique secreted thread foremost amongst them, able to be used at both range using its quills or intermixed within its bite. Interestingly it appears the Qianzhou’s thread eventually dries into a toxin devoid substance similar to threads of cotton, that I have observed some survivors create protective inner clothing from that provides both additional physical protection and protection from various poisons, venoms and toxins. Abilities List Primary Attack (Left Mouse): A wide sweeping sideways angled bite that damages a wide area in front of the Qianzhou. Causes the “Qianzhou Toxin” debuff for multiple seconds, increasing incoming damage and torpidity inflicted whilst also inflicting slowness. Secondary Attack (Right Mouse): A tailsweep that launches a few large quills off the tail forwards towards a target, which entirely immobilizes all creatures with a drag weight low enough to be carried by a Karkinos for a certain number of seconds, while significantly slowing larger creatures for a shorter amount of time. Also causes the “Qianzhou Toxin” debuff. (C Key): A shoulder slam with significant knockback, useful for distancing attackers to use the ranged attack, but highly dangerous to survivors especially during the taming process due to the risk of being pushed into other threats. (X Key): A 360 degree spin releasing a quill in every direction, each quill causes damage and might cause the “Qianzhou Toxin” debuff, but only immobilizes creatures with a drag weight low enough to be carried by a Megalosaurus. Passive Utility: Produces “Toxic Thread” within its inventory over time that can be used as a substitute for Narcotic or as a new intermediate between it and Bio Toxin. When Toxic Thread spoils it turns into “Cottonlike Thread” which doesn't spoil and can be used to create the “Cottonlike” set of backup armor. Cottonlike Thread can also either repair any armor to 50% durability within the Qianzhou’s inventory, or be used as a substitute for Hide. Taming A specific passive tame that leaves the survivor rather vulnerable during the process and requires no shortage of attention. Specifically the process entails crouching and eating a mushroom nearby a Qianzhou, causing it to jealousy approach and stare at the survivor as it leans down to look at them directly with a feed prompt appearing as it does. When fed the Qianzhou will randomly do one of three possible actions: -It will stand straight to eat, then lean downwards again allowing another mushroom to be immediately fed. -It will stand straight to eat then swiftly turn around, causing the survivor to either have to quickly crawl to avoid its tail or to suddenly move out of the way. If the survivor doesn’t move, the tail hits them and makes the Qianzhou become aggressive. -It will stand straight to eat, then after a specific delay will lean down to nip the survivor despite not becoming aggressive. If the survivor doesn’t move, all of the mushrooms in their inventory are taken. One random piece of armor is also unequipped (added to inventory or thrown forward, not deleted.) It will then turn around and walk away. All types of mushrooms can be used as regular taming food, with Mushroom Brew being akin to kibble. Alternatively, a randomized mushroom could be required at each feeding interval further adding to the vulnerability of the survivor during the process, as they would have to open their inventory to equip the applicable mushroom each time. Cottonlike Backup Armor Function: Unlike regular armor the Cottonlike set functions as backup armor that is instantly equipped when armor breaks or is removed, giving a survivor a better chance at not dying when their armor is broken or during the process of repairing their armor. Setup: When selected each piece of the Cottonlike set has a new action called “activate”, which when toggled causes the activated backup armor piece to automatically replace armor instantaneously when it is broken or removed. Only one piece for each armor slot can be activated at the same time. Details: The Cottonlike set consists of simple entirely cotton clothing created from Cottonlike Thread within a Qianzhou’s inventory or elsewhere, it having very high durability but protection between cloth and hide armor. Though has the added bonus of reducing incoming torpidity damage from poison-like sources (what Riot armor doesn’t protect against), and when activated has its armor values applied in addition to whatever armor is being worn. Cottonlike Backup Armor Visuals: Conclusion Thank you for viewing. Here is a link to the Qianzhousaurus Wikipedia page if you are curious for more information regarding it. 20. First and foremost, I have to give a huge thanks for Sail for helping me flesh up the concept and for creating the dossier. You’re an amazing help! (link to him will come later) The cavernous terrain of Aberration is filled with slopes and cliffs, making traversal difficult with most creatures. While some creatures have gimmicks used to handle those obstacles, the Rock Drake is the only creature who traverses the terrain with ease. Gigantohyrax is meant to represent an alternative late game travel mount to the Rock Drake, with its own gimmicks and utilities, but not as a superior alternative. This concept takes inspiration from modern hyraxes, amplifying their characteristics to create its own niche in the game, as a travel mount, but also as a support creature. As a travel mount: Though considerably larger than the real animal, the Gigantohyrax won’t be a huge creature by Ark standards, with a size somewhere between the Sabertooth and the Thylacoleo. Like rock hyraxes will have an exceptional climbing ability, capable of quickly traversing near vertical surfaces, sprint on their side and move on zip lines. It may not be able to climb upside down nor glide in the air like a Rock Drake, but it’s faster and more agile than the larger reptile. To assist in climbing, it will also have a good jump and take little-no fall damage in case of a bad step. To further aid in the travels in Aberration, the creature will have a slot in its saddle for a shoulder mount, such as a light pet. The shoulder critter will be treated like a passenger rider, protected from most outside attacks. If a light pet, the rider will also be able to activate and deactivate the light as if it was on their shoulder. Combat wise, Gigantohyrax is not your choice, with low health but decent damage. Its left click attack will be a quick and weak nibble, whose primary use will be to gather berries. The right click attack is a powerful bite using the tusks, but it’s slow, resulting in modest DPS. A common reaction against threats will be escape, and it has an additional trick up its sleeve for that: Pressing “ctrl”, the hyrax will pose a threat display with its tusks, stopping small creatures from attacking for a handful of seconds and giving a window for escape. In addition, the creature will actually benefit from radiation, getting damage resistance and stamina drain reduction as buffs, helping you survive the many threats in the most dangerous part of the underground. Utility as a support mount: Hyraxes can sing, and surprisingly perhaps, actually have complex songs with patterns. In game, Gigantohyrax will have at least two separate songs, which it can switch between at will. The first song is the “Energy” song. This song give allied creatures improved stamina recovery while reducing stamina drain. A more niche use, fit for Aberration, it that the song will also fill up the charge of light pets, allowing them to continue glowing without a break, while also increasing their range. This also applies to light pets on the saddle slot, reducing the reliance of Plant Species Z to avoid getting attacked by a thousand Nameless. The second song is the “Recovery” song. This song heals allied creatures (though considerably worse than Daeodon and Snow Owls) while giving them some damage resistance. More uniquely though, the song will also help creatures “recover” from mating, by speeding up the drain of the mating interval. For example, the cooldown will drop two or three times as fast as it normally would. There could also be a third song, but we were undecided about what it should be. We considered something related to baby maturation or imprinting, but we first need to see what Gigantoraptor brings to the table. Gigantohyrax will only be able to sing while stationary. When moving around, the song will temporarily stop singing until the hyrax stays in place once again. One great advantage about the hyrax is that it could be set to sing while unridden, allowing it to indefinitely buff creatures in its vicinity - especially useful for breeders using the Recovery song. However, while you could have many hyraxes sing the same song next to one another, a creature that will hear different songs at the same time will have their effects nullified. How to obtain? In the wild, Gigantohyrax will be found in the green and blue zones of Aberration. When noticing danger (ie an aggressive creature, a player or a tame), it will run away, going to steep terrain most creatures will be unable to follow it to. However, if a small-medium actually hits one while other hyraxes are around, the escape will turn to attack. The threat will be ganged up by many pairs of tusks, giving a painful lesson to the attacker. However, a player will be able to pacify the creatures by playing drums. When playing the instrument, a hyrax will approach and play a note. The player must play the drums accordingly. If they succeed, the hyrax will allow for a feed before retreating again. Rinse and repeat until taming. To keep Gigantohyrax as a late game tame, it will only accept Extraordinary Kibble as taming food. This is to require players to get Rock Drake eggs beforehand, preventing the cheesing of the trench using the creature before a player gets a Drake themselves.
  21. Wild: - I first witnessed this specimen when traveling through the bioluminescent wetlands deeper. After careful study I realized it was in fact Campanile Giganteum, a large ancient sea snail. But due to this malfunctioned arks harsh subterranean ecosystem they had adapted to become land predators never wasting the chance for a fresh kill.. or hang out with the flowers they seemingly adore. And the beautiful biolumiescent glow they emit is so mesmerizing. I've heard other tribes refer to them as Cone snails. Which makes total sense them having a swirling ice cream cone of doom on there back. They have a real connection to flora, almost benevolent in nature. However, they protect their shoreline turf with great prejudice. They have a hidden probosic in their mouth that can launch a modified harpoon-like tooth at victims. Immediately it injects lethal venom which paralyzes its prey to be reeled to its’ bandsaw like teeth.. Domesticated: - I once came upon a tribe that specialized in breeding Cone Snails. Seeing how they use them to carefully tend to crops. Even this deep in the bio zone where sun light doesn't reach, the Snails charge energy can replicate sunlight to crops. Allowing them to have sull sunlight in its range. It even effects greenhouses! They also use the Cone snails natural charge abilities in a number of ways. They can help you to see down dark paths. Scare off Nameless. Light your home! However the charge They hold can also be used as a mobile generator that needs no wires. Able to power the tek crop plots their tribe had. I even saw one power up turrets on the outer perimeter. They have a large charge storage. But it does recharge slower if recently attacked or in combat. However you can recharge it manually if needed with charged batteries. To top it off.. the beautiful glowing patterns along the Cone Snails body and shell can brighten and pulse when they emit their God ray wave. A charge based light attack that pulses in a radius around the snail. When pulsed the flashbang like blast shines a godly bright wave of light and blares a high pitched screech that causes you to not only be blinded, but your ears ringing leaving you completely disoriented. The God Ray also seems to negate certain creatures natural abilities. Even being able to cause creatures to emerge from burrows in the ground and stop a roar. They are slow, with small bursts of faster movement they can use to close gaps. And they are at least twice as fast in the water. There attacks however... are like lightning They can traverse all terrain that there shell can fit. Even being able to climb vertically. They can enter a cemented mode which can be activated. Making them immune to being knocked back or picked up. They can also retract into their shells and stay put wherever you left them. Even on the roof. When retracted the snail can move or bite. However they can still harpoon as well as tend to crops with their light when retracted in its shell. Combat: - The Cone Snails are extremely durable. Shrugging off damage like a pro. Especially things that have to bite it. On top of being rugged all their spines have venom in them. So you may end up hurting yourself more than your target. Their bites and harpoon are also equipped with the same venom but dosed even more lethal to completely incapacitate anything it gets near. Their mouth has a retractable proboscis incorporated into that can extend a straw like tube out. The tube is loaded with a double barbed harpoon like tooth that's meant to hook targets. When grabbed by the harpoon venom is immiatley injected and you become paralyzed. Then being reeled in to the Snails mouth which is equipped with multiple rows of bandsaw like teeth all interwoven on movable muscles that allow it to break down whatever it takes in quickly. The Snail has another trick up its sleeve. They secrete a thick slimey mucus out of their skin that trails behind them. This guys slime that typically surrounds a small area around him an also trails good distance behind him, get thicker and somewhat hardens and it sets. Stepping into large puddles tend to slow you down and stronger dinos even sometimes struggle to push through. This allows what can either be considered a deterent to predators... or a way to slow your prey! They have two longer tentacle like appendages attached near their mouth that can fire off a mucus spray at targets further away from it. However when sprayed its almost ocelated causing it to spread better in an accurate way. So us smaller creatures covered in a hardening slime means stuck in place. Ive seen them hault larger creatures with consecutive sprays. Utilities: -Snail Venom -medicinal -poison -or maybe it can be used to substitute certain ingredients? Zhin in the garden: - the Snails can affect crops and wild plants with their passive light. Causing anything from citronel to trees to grow faster and more abundant in their presence. And making light for crops and greenhouses in caves? Yes please! Pvp: - not meant to be the new best anything. But have a creature fill a whole new role. It's attack and defenses are mostly status effects. Venom, slow, and concussed mostly. The primary thought was to make a whole new style of venom effect in game that lingers after being hit. -The defensive venom damage take from hitting or biting the snail will deal damage back similar to a kentro but will add a colorful trippy vision distortion along with the venom damage over time until either the effect ends or death. -The harpoons venom is very concentrated and will paralyze ( encumber status effect no matter weight. So no matter what you move as if moderately encumbered.) And give the colorful trippy vision distortion. -The mouth bites with decent damage but adds the venom damage over time and trippy vision. -Then slime around and behind the snail slows enemies all depending on distance to the snail itself (the closer the thicker) -The slime shooters spray in a tight area and can be aimed even above like the harpoon. When the slime is launched out of their face appendages it begins to harden on its target faster leaving them almost unable to move. Slime! -The God Ray is a badass wave of bright elemental charge light released in a strong wave in all direction effecting anything in its decent range. With it comes a very loud high pitched shriek. They effect causes you a most creatures to get a flashbang effect similar to species z but it last slightly longer and effect larger creatures. On top of that, I cancels most natural abilities creatures have. Invisibility, burrowing, bleeding, status effects like fear and courage roars. Mammoth trumpets and drums. It will ground flyers hit and stop wyverns from using their breath attacks as well as basilisks and magmasaurs .stops noglins and breaks mind tether with them. Will break carcharodontosaurus damage charge. Will stop velos shooting. If an ally is effected by any enemy given effect its will drop and will have a 15 second timer before they can use abilities other than bite and sprint and jump/fly. -It cannot ne poisoned or tranquilized and is not affected by basi or poison breath as well as lightning. When cemented it cannon be knocked back or picked up by creatures. It is however highly effected by fire and ice damage -This Snail while tanky, shines in team support. Being both a mobile tek generator. But also a good counter tame that can be pretty frightening with a coordinated team on the battlefield, or off adventuring! You can use it to assist FOBs during raids or as a fellow farmer. The thought process behind wanting to make this snail this way is mostly all about its ecosystem. Aberration has forced all inhabitants to adapt in extremes to its one of a kind ark. Which in turn forced the largest snail, specifically a sea snail, to adapt to be a be a ruthless hunter on its shores as well as having a symbiotic effect on plant life. Putting it at about stego size its definitely no slouch. Quite strong. But very slow. But the moment your too close.. its over. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Campanile_giganteum
  22. (big rideable glow pet) Introducing Kosmoceratops, the Starlight Ceratopsian! Tags: herbivore, ceratopsian, flashbang, support, healer, soaker, seeker allies, armor reduction Credit to Nix Illustration for Design Common Name: Kosmoceratops Species: Kosmoceratops lumitaurus Time: Late Cretaceous Diet: Herbivore Temperament: Territorial Wild: “It’s astonishing how well adapted some of the creatures in these caverns are. Kosmoceratops lumitaurus is the largest creature I’ve discovered thus far that produces that intense bioluminescent charge that keeps Nameless at bay… and attracts a private army of Chimaeram. Great… Whether it be dominance, ego, or just plain fun, these ceratopsians challenge not only other Kosmoceratops, but other threatening species as well, including survivors! They bow down in respect to those who can best them in a one-on-one spar. Any lunatics out there might be able to use this to their advantage.” Domesticated: “After gaining the respect of this starlight behemoth, survivors may find a variety of uses for them. They have a notable amount of durability thanks to their head armor, and they possess a glowing, corrosive saliva that melts through armor thanks to the plants it consumes. I think I’ll not have what they’re having, thank you. A large dinosaur that emits charge that repels Nameless and is immune to high concentrations of radiation makes it an excellent mount to traverse the lower reaches of these caverns. Introduction: Greetings, survivors! I introduce to you the flashbang bastion; the Kosmoceratops! The foundational ideas and selling points for this dinosaur include: Role as a mid-game support that can be used in endgame PvP Rideable glow pet Radiation and plant z immunity Ability to heal allies and blind enemies Ability to corrode and highlight enemies with bite attacks I personally think Kosmoceratops, or at the very least this concept, should be added to the game due to an oversaturation of apex predators in the PvP metagame as well as expanding upon one of the most unique (and one of my personal favorite) maps in the game. Ceratopsians in general need a little more love than just Triceratops and Pachyrhinosaurus. Adding this behemoth would help spice the meta up and give people more reason to play on ARK: Aberration. Wild: Kosmoceratops live in the malfunctioning ARK’s bio-luminescent marshlands and molten element canyons, being the only large herbivore found in the latter zone. They can spawn on their own or in herds of up to three members. They are naturally territorial, and will tend to gang up on large carnivores that pose a threat to them. Kosmoceratops tend to be more aggressive in these herds, so it is highly advised to avoid them whenever possible. While on their own they are still a force to be reckoned with, they behave in a slightly different manner… Like glow pets, Kosmoceratops produce a constant aura of charge which can repel Nameless and attract Seekers. Seekers aren’t naturally hostile towards these dinosaurs, respecting them as a source of food, and will typically assist them in combat. When low on health, the ceratopsian can emit a blinding light from its frill and horns to disorient threats before speeding away. Taming Process: To be tamed, this dinosaur must be separate from any herd or any Seekers. Having aggroed the herd prior won’t trigger the process. Once isolated, the process will begin when the Kosmoceratops performs an animation, blinking its frill lights and kicking up the dirt. The dinosaur is challenging you to a one-on-one spar. The frill constantly pulsating light faintly is a sign the Kosmo is undergoing the taming process. If any other creature or survivor interferes, regardless of friend or foe, the taming bar will return to 0. After dealing 75% of the dinosaur’s total health in the battle, it will bow down in exhaustion. Step forward and claim your reward. Tamed: Congratulations! You’ve successfully tamed a Kosmoceratops! Now with this bioluminescent barbarian in your hands, life in the caverns of the aberrant ARK should be much more convenient. Actions: Primary Attack (, , ): Click: A sweeping head attack with noticeable knockback. The Kosmoceratops can turn 180-degrees if looking backward. Hold: A charged bite attack that increases in damage the longer it is held. This bite leaves a unique status induced by the dinosaur’s saliva, which corrodes its way through health, armor, and even metal structures. The saliva itself is also bioluminescent, highlighting bitten enemies with a bright light that friends and foes can see. The duration of this status also scales with the attack’s wind up time. Secondary Attack (, , ): The range of this move scales with Charge Range / Melee Damage. Click: A violent flash of light erupts from the dinosaur’s frill, inducing the same effect as plant z fruit. This requires a large amount of charge to use. Hold: The ceratopsian’s light creates an aura of healing in front of itself, acting like the animal equivalent of a plant z. It heals at around the same rate, though drains charge fast. Taunting Roar (Click C, , ): The Kosmoceratops’s roar taunts wild and tamed creatures like a Magmasaur. However, its own defenses and damage are increased. Crouch (Press Space, , ): The Kosmoceratops hunkers down into a defensive state, taking significantly reduced damage at the cost of not being able to attack or move much at all. Passive Abilities: Charge Light: Kosmoceratops essentially operates like a giant, rideable glow pet! Much like the Bulbdog and its peers, Kosmoceratops’ stats also upgrade its charge light capabilities. Stamina correlates with Charge Capacity, Oxygen with Charge Regeneration, and Melee Damage with Charge Range. You can activate the charge light while mounted in the same way lifesteal can be enabled while riding a Desmodus. Batteries can also be charged within the dino’s inventory like a charge station, though at a slower rate. Seeker Symbiosis: Seekers will gather around Kosmoceratops, but won’t attack them or their rider. They instead become allies, attacking threats that get too close to their food source. Damage-to-Head Reduction: Like the Triceratops, the Kosmoceratops possesses damage reduction on its head, though not as effective. Gathering: Kosmoceratops can gather berries and minerals fairly well with its bite. However, it is most proficient at gathering element ore, and one of the best tools to mine the resource. Immunities: Kosmoceratops are immune to the effects of radiation and plant z fruits. Turn in Place: While not moving, a Kosmoceratops can turn to the direction the rider is facing similarly to Spinosaurus. Utility & Scenarios: PvE: Kosmoceratops are great for traversing the caverns of the aberrant ARK, though lacking a solid turn while sprinting. Riders can wander on Kosmo back to farm for rare materials in the lower reaches of the blue and red zones with their radiation immunity and charge light. Reapers and Nameless are repelled by their light, and Seekers are attracted to it, though becoming temporary allies with the dinosaur and their rider. Kosmoceratops are one of the best ways to retrieve Rock Drake eggs early on before getting replaced by Rock Drakes themselves for that niche. PvP: This ceratopsian is designed as a support class along with the likes of Daeodons, Yutyrannus, and Snow Owls. They aren’t very good at dealing a lot of damage, and they are far from the tankiest creature in the game. By blinding, highlighting, and taunting enemies and healing allies, the Kosmoceratops provides essential aid that could bring favor to a matchup, even if the dinosaur itself isn’t directly fighting. It also acts as a good soaker with the damage reduction it gets from its taunt, crouch, and head armor. Chargelight invalidates the presence of Reapers, removing more danger from potential confrontations. The lack of damage output is their greatest weakness, not being nearly as strong as other creatures of its size class. It lacks the tools to completely defend its blindspots, especially from faster tames like Deinonychus, Thylacoleos, and fliers. Conclusion: Outside of the obvious Triceratops comparisons, Kosmoceratops lacks much overlap in terms of utility and niche in a tribe’s roster. A very complex and strong creature, but balanced out by notable weaknesses that ensure it doesn’t usurp other dinos. It has been a while since we’ve gotten a creature designed to be a support in PvP, so I hope this works out for that niche! Have fun, survivors! References (Accurate & Inaccurate):
  23. (Rough doodle by Me) Pentaceratops, a massive ceratopsian with an even larger head. High health and high damage, this beast of a tame would allow its rider and anything behind it to go unscathed from the front, but remember to watch your rear as you would still be exposed to enemy attacks. Its heavily keratinized face allows P. imperialis to take little to no damage from attacks to its head, making it the perfect frontliner for a siege on a base or a boss fight. Along with this Pentaceratops could have a taunt like that of the magmasaur, drawing aggro so allies may finish off targets. Ability 1: Stance change As the name implies, this would be a stance change. Think something like how Amarga can change its spikes. These stances would be shown via a change in color on markings on its frill. Defensive Stance: Pentaceratops lowers its massive head, blocking incoming damage for the rider and any tames behind its massive frill. While in this stance its movement speed is greatly decreased, while its turning circle is reduced greatly, allowing it to keep its head to the enemy. Damage to the head in this stance would heal Pentaceratops for a fraction of what the damage value was, so keep that in mind when fighting these beasts. While in this stance its attacks would deal increased knockback and decreased damage, letting it create space for allies. Offensive Stance: Pentaceratops swings its head forward, its massive beak and horns ready to attack. In this stance Pentaceratops deals increased damage, but also takes increased damage, so use it sparingly. Movement speed in this stance is increased, with its turning circle being increased as well. Neutral Stance: No stat changes, base wild stance. Ability 2: Back Kick/180* swipe Since Pentaceratops woud be fairly vulnerable from behind, it only makes sense that it should have an answer to this. While in Defensive Stance, Pentaceratops would have a back kick. This attack would deal very little damage along with moderate knockback. While in Offensive Stance Pentaceratops gains a 180 degree swipe, this ability would have a significant cooldown as the drawback of offensive stance is the very wide turn radius, but would allow for Penta to get a pesky rex on its rear end if needed. This attack would deal heavy damage and perhaps apply a wound to the target. Ability 3: Taunt Pentaceratops lets out a loud roar, stamping its feet on the ground and shaking its massive frill in a threat display. This taunt would function like the magmasaur, drawing aggro to Penta so it or its allies can finish them off. Other Proposals; AKA Stuff I thought of but am iffy on Stomp: Would function like other stomps in the game, dealing high damage and some knockback. Indimidating roar: Much like Yutyrannus, this roar would scare off animals the same size and smaller than Penta. Platform Saddle: Maybe give it a platform saddle, I can live without this though.
  24. Agustinia Diet: Herbivore Length: 15-16 meters Weight: 10-20 tons Birth type: Egg The Stats -Good Health (1850 base for a level 1 wild) -Good Weight (1300 base for a level 1 wild) -Great Stam(600 base for a level 1 wild) The Size The size for this creature should be in-between the Bronto and Diplo in the game which is why its stats are some in between these two creatures. Except for its stam which is higher than these dinos, being its outstanding trait. The Main Abilities Tail Latch The Agustinia can use its spikey tail to latch to other dinosaurs and hold these dinosaurs in position until the Agustinia's stam has run out. The male and female versions of these dinos have different effects when the tail is attached to a dino. The females will inflict an increase in torpor to the dino, which will help in taming other creatures with the rider on top being able to shoot tranq darts or arrows. This can also help survivors to knock out and trap wyverns if they get too close to acquire their wyvern milk. The males on the other hand will slowly deplete the dinos health with a bleed effect while being attached. Spike Projectiles The Agustinia will also be able to launch its spikes with a tail attack against incoming or running enemies. These projectiles would do the same effects as latching, but at a much less effective degree. So female spike projectiles would increase torpor and the males a slight bleed effect for a few seconds. These projectiles will also be able to be aimed in a certain area in front of the Agustinia. So not straight up, down, behind etc. Basic Attacks Aside from the Agustinia's two special attacks it will have. - A two leg front stomp - A tail swipe without inflicting the latch ability or projectiles to be launched Other Features Agustinia should have the spike damage when attack by other creatures, just like the Kentros. The reduced damage taken like the stego. The only thing lacking in this dinosaur would be its speed. Taming Method Killing the Male and Female for Egg Hatching the Egg As a survivor walking through the map of rag you will see this creature in pairs of two, a male and a female, but they cannot be tamed in the conventical sense, due to an adult Agustinia not being able to bond well with survivors. So, both of these creatures must be killed, for you to be able to get the egg from the female's inventory. But if you only kill the female and try to take the egg the male will go into a fury of rage. This rage will cause it to send out a fear roar scaring any dinos nearby and increases the stats of the Agustinia making it more dangerous against you and your tribe making it more beneficial to kill both dinos. Once you have managed to secure the egg from the female there is another challenge that arises. Hatching the Egg When this egg is hatched you must give the Agustinia what it wants to increase the bond with you. How this works is if the Agustinia wants honey, and you give it the honey, it will increase the dinos bond with you (which is the taming percent on a normal dino) the effectiveness of the tame will be from how quickly you are able to feed the creature or complete another objective like walking it etc. If you don't get the bond to 100 percent before it has reach adulthood it will attack and kill you, becoming a wild adult Agustinia. The Creature Saddle The saddle for this creature would be a saddle that can sit up to 3 people on top of the dino.
