  1. Update Broke Entire Game!!! The Island Now Raining Bosses, Scorched Earth Nuked! Since the 1/10/2020 Update Here are the issues I'm having so far. On The Island whenever I use an obelisk to fight a Guardian I now get teleported...…..NOT to the Guardians Arena but...… IN THE SKY WITH MY DINO'S!!!!!! Literally Teleports My Dino's, Me, and the Boss to the very center of The Island, Coordinates 50 Lat. 50 Lon. where we all freefall from the SKY until we hit the ground. In most cases it's instant death for my character and my T-Rex survives with the boss landing on our heads. Sometimes the boss even Vanishes into thin air after landing. Not sure what's going on here but The Island is now raining down Players, Dino's, and Guardians when you activate an obelisk. Oh, and that's not all! I moved over to Scorched Earth only to find that I was instantly killed along with ALL MY TAMED DINOS, and ALL MY STRUCTURES WERE COMPLETELY DESTROYED!!!!!!!!! All that was left were inventory bags where my structures USED to be. Is anyone having these problems? If so is there any way to fix them? Any help is appreciated BC my game is unplayable ATM.
  2. This seems to be a lingering issue amongst some Xbox players that has never been answered or resolved. Can we figure out what's going on? TL;DR: Textures are not loading. The graphics look low-quality and seem to never fully load. This happens for both dinos and structures, and seems to be getting worse and worse over time. I'm on an OG Xbox One, running a private dedicated from a second OG Xbox One, though I've recently seen the same issue reported on Nintrado servers and single player. More info: The problem started happening roughly when Aberration came out. I can't pinpoint exactly when (before or after), but I recall seeing the issue uncommonly the first time I played Aberration. It started with textures just seeming to take a while to load. Eventually, they'd pop in after I had been around the base a while. But the issue got worse. When my small tribe and I started fresh on The Island, I'd noticed that some textures stopped loading completely. Specifically on structures and things like storage boxes and dinos. Eventually that last layer of texture/detail just siezed to exist on everything and I've been living with it ever since. It's even worse on Extinction. Any Extinction-specific dinos just look like vague blobs and shapes until I've been staring at them for 10-20 seconds and they finally render into a recognizable form. Since the issue started happening, I've been scouring these forums as well as Reddit and it seems like the issue has never been answered. It was acknowledged by mods here a couple times that they'd "look into it", but alas, here we are a year later. I've tried: - Uninstalling and re-installing Ark. - Clearing console cache. - Deleting local save game data for Ark. I've also heard of people attempting to adjust graphical settings like bloom quality to try to fix, with no success. I've come to terms with the probable fact that it's a performance issue that can never be "fixed", but I'd like to know a few things: - Is there a fix? - If not, then what causes this issue, why was it not an issue before, and why has it gotten worse? - Who else is experiencing this issue and what are your circumstances? (Which Xbox do you use, and how are you playing, etc.?) ((I'm currently at work, but will see if I can attach pictures as an example later)) Thanks in advance!
  3. Many Improvements needed for ark small tribes The current state of the game is very hard to play and makes it not as enjoyable as it could be. I see a lot of potential in the game and it can have a lot more players than it currently has just with a few simple but game changing adjustments. These 3 suggestions would change the game and make it a lot more playable and would encourage people that don't have as much time to play the game as well. I really hope you decide to make these changes. Thanks, Your fellow survivor - Syx Increase turret cap to 150 or 200 The current turret cap is very hard to work with and spots that would be very nice to build in are basically impossible to defend because of the current 100 turret cap, increasing it by 100 or even 50 more would make a massive difference and would enable tribes to build in places that would be initially near impossible to defend with the 100 turret cap. It would make raiding and defending way more fun and would enable way bigger battles and raids which would mean it would be a little more challenging for both the raider and the defender. Decrease transfer timer One of the many time consuming tasks on small tribes is transferring servers, many people have outposts on different server for farming resources that would normally be hard in their main base spot/main map meaning they have to transfer a lot and having the timer as 15 minutes makes it so much longer that it should be. Decreasing the timer to 5 minutes or even 10 minutes would make such a difference and would make the game way more enjoyable to play meaning the player base will grow due to the fact that not many people have the time for such a time consuming game which can be fixes with the current suggestions. Enable no collisions for structures Enabling no collisions for structure would enable tribes to build way better looking bases and let them utilize all the space efficiently, I understand it wouldn't be as realistic but it would majorly improve how people build and where people build too meaning that more spaces will be way easier to build in which would encourage people to build in the spots that are currently too hard to build in. This is also a problem since many spaces are already taken by big tribes and many big tribes raid lots of starters and enabling no collisions on structures would also allow starters to hide way better meaning they can survive for longer which would also make it more enjoyable to play the game.
  4. Pipe/Cable Highlights Imagine you are installing plumbing and a electrical grid into your base when your pipes/cables merge into the mesh of your ceilings/foundations/walls. Working blind, you get frustrated and your enjoyment building your base turns into more of a chore than what it has to be in the first place. With this quality of life change I suggest when you have a cable/pipe selected ready to place down you can see a highlight, a white highlight perhaps, over preexisting cables/pipes that can be seen through structures indicating where other pipes/cables placed by your tribe are in that area so there are no missed areas of cabling/piping in your base. I know with this quality of life change it will assist many builders like myself in building our OCD base designs without fear of missing a spot of cabling/piping. Summary: Highlight over preexisting piping/cabling when a similar one is selected that can be seen through structures
  5. Crafting Skill should also affect structures Craftsmanship should also affect normal/primitive energrams. Especially in Classic PvP or the Primitive Game World, it would be a big gain if structures were also improved. For example, the durability of a wall could be increased if it is built by a player with a high crafting skill. A simple metal wall would achieve a durability of 11500 with a crafting skill bonus of e.g. 15% ... Especially for new players it would be a big advantage if the first self-made metal tool would improve with the crafting skill, or the primitive saddle would be a bit better.
  6. Admin summon commands for structures(NOT GFI CODES) I’ve come to a dead end in my search for summoning commands in regards to structures. Floating tree platforms seem to be the only command floating around. Does anyone know of a source where I can find the list to other structures, I know for instance you can spawn in a forcefield. However, The command can not be found anywhere by me. I’d really like these commands as it would help tremendously with event builds and other cool and possible builds I know is possible once I find this list! Please help folks.
  7. Suspension Bridges So here's the rundown: building bridges across water uses a LOT of structures, causes lag, and uses an absurd amount of resources. I'm envisioning 2 types of new structures (support pillars and suspension ropes) to allow players to construct suspension bridges that will use far less resources and cause much less lag because there would be fewer structures required. Obviously if you can make a suspension bridge of infinite size it would be too OP as you could build a bridge out of render over an enemy base and then drop dinos from it (or any other number of shenanigans like building skyways across the map) so there need to be limiting factors. First, the support pillars would be required to be placed on a foundation or ground. They would not be able to snap to ceilings or any other structures other than foundations, not even to each other or other pillars. Second, the ropes would only be able to extend so far from the pillar before they would start refusing to snap, something like 5 ropes (So you would be able to make a bridge 10 across if you built each side separately). Third, the ropes would only extend foundation support by 1 space instead of 2 so you couldn't build bridges wide enough for titans but you would be able to squeeze a T-rex through (foundation pillars would snap to the side of the foundation so they aren't in the way. Lastly, structures that are only supported by suspension ropes would take increased damage as if they were in a cave, or perhaps they would even be able to be damaged by things they normally wouldn't be hurt by (creatures that would damage stone could damage metal suspension bridges). There would be 2 tiers for the bridge structures: wood and metal. Wood would use ropes and metal would use cables. I think suspension bridges balanced in this manner would make an excellent addition to the game and allow players to construct more elegant designs while limiting lag issues by removing the need for large amounts of snapped structures providing support.
  8. PVE CORE Environment loading On PVE first of all the buildings should be displayed (loaded) directly around the character itself and not behind or even another's tribes. Situation when you go to the server and first of all, someone else’s base is loaded nearby and then yours is unacceptable.
  9. The creation of blueprints for stone structures, and managed to be crafted on smithy, it’s my ultimate goal
  10. Sorry if some of these have already been posted but here's my list of suggestions which I would like to see Ark maybe implement in the near future. 1. Having more hairstyles and more in-depth coloured dyes to paint our clothes (eg - Medium Light Blue because there's only like Neon Blue and Navy) 2. Having more S+ implemented to consoles (eg- Glass Metal Walls and Foundations etc). 3. Having some Prim+ Items to the official game would make PVE more fun. 4. In the Dino information screen can we have the information on what level we tamed the dino and it's original stats so it would be useful for breeders. (eg- Breeding Info Tab maybe?) 5. Removal of flyer nerf on PVE. 6. Having a new structure to claim land without having pillars everywhere in your yard. 7. Having new / more oceanic servers without people from other countries stealing our servers. 8. Possibility to have more than 1 character on a server? 9. Remove rust and glare from metal structures. 10. Have the ability to build treehouse platforms in the SF on Extinction. (SF has similar trees like the redwoods in some places)
  11. I am part of the Admin Tribe of an unofficial PvP PC server (I play on Xbox One). We do not raid, we mainly just build cool stuff and observe the chaos around us. The server message states that admin should not be attacked under any circumstances (as we are peaceful - and of course, have God-like powers, so what would be the point?) and we have recently built some communal settlements for anyone to use and enjoy. THE QUESTION is: What would the people of Ark would want in their game? What would be useful as a communal place? Here's what we've come up with so far... In one desert settlement, we have built: A fighting arena big enough for for a couple of gigas to battle, including tiered seating, a snack bar and coloured light displays during the action. An inn, "Ye Olde Pube", with a bar serving beer and water downstairs and guest rooms upstairs. A market where people can shed any unwanted resources and pick up someone else's through a swap/sell system. A Mall including a pet shop, weapons store, camping store and garden store, as well as a bulk buy area where you can order goods en masse (goods that aren't stored on the premises to avoid raids) A restaurant with fully functioning kitchen and upstairs seating with views over the settlement and out to the desert. Now inevitably, half the pub and some of the mall have already been blown up. We have shields and tek gates in parts that need more security, but most of it is stone and wood because we find its more aesthetically pleasing for our building style. We know its PvP and people are always going to blow your stuff up, but do you have any suggestions for how to try and dissuade people from doing that? We ban those who attack admin but we don't want to have to do that. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Old Gregg

  13. I've been playing for 3 years- never online. I play for the build only- always bigger and better than the last structure I built and only in competition with my self. I have been playing the Island for the last 2 years or so and had every cave and explorers note discovered plus 7 crazy bases. Crap ton of hours into this world. A few days ago I get on and it takes me to the respawn map but my needs aren't there so I pick random- NOT new character and when it loads everything is gone; dino's, structures, inventory, map markers. What can I do?
  14. So from what I’ve summed up through all the sifting, there’s no trick to keeping your personally built structures when parting with your current tribe? What happened if I make a new tribe and keep “personally owned” for everything. Then have the old tribe merge with me temporarily? Does all that has been built go back to the one who built it? Can I cheat the system this way? I’m on an official server and the tribe has owned everything from the get go. Theres really no way of keeping anything without rebuilding?
