  1. THE MONGOLARACHNE Basic Info: When you think of Extinction, you usually don't think of a normal dinosaur-looking creature. Unlike most other maps, the vast majority of new creatures introduced with the Extinction map are completely different looking creatures, meaning that a new basic dinosaur creature wouldn't fit the theme of the map. Instead of a dinosaur, however, there are many other types of prehistoric animals (and bugs) that can be used as a substitution. The Mongolarachne was a large spider-like creature with unique features making it fit in with other Extinction creatures such as the Velonosaur, Gacha, and Managarmr. Wild Creature Info: The Mongolarachne is an intelligent creature living in the wastelands and relying on other creatures to weaken its prey before it hunts. Since the Mongolarachne does not want to waste energy or its life attacking things that are bigger than it, it waits for its prey to become weak enough for it to snatch it up before the other creature hunting its prey is able to kill the prey. This would obviously upset the creature hunting, however the Mongolarachne is fast enough to escape any threats before it's attacked. When the Mongolarachne is attacked, however, if it does not have any prey, it will attack back. But, if the Mongolarachne is carrying its prey, for example if it's running away with its prey after stealing food from another creature, it will not attack back, but instead it will carry its prey and run away. However, if it gets weak enough, it will drop its prey and run. The Mongolarachne will also have a damage reduction for ranged weaponry, and can be used to counter the Velonosaur. Taming Info: To tame the Mongolarachne , the player must be of low enough health while near one, and then the Mongolarachne will grab the player and start running off with them, in an attempt to bring the player to a safe place to eat. However, when the Mongolarachne finds a place to eat, if the player is carrying a creature, the Mongolarachne will begin to eat the creature that the player is carrying, giving the player time to run away. This process must be repeated until the Mongolarachne has been tamed. Tamed Ability Info: Web Shooting Like the Araneo, the Mongolarachne has the ability to shoot webs, however these webs deal damage for as long as the target is stuck. For players that are webbed, there will be a large web blocking a large portion of their screen, making their visibility sharply decrease. These webs can be cut by a sword or other melee weapon and silk is needed as ammo for the web shooting. Wall Crawling Although many other creatures can crawl up and around vertical walls and terrain, the Mongolarachne is different. When crawling on these spaces, the Mongolarachne will become hidden, making it difficult to spot for creatures that are both hostile and passive. When the Mongolarachne shoots webs or attacks, its hidden ability will wear off, making it vulnerable to being seen by enemies. This hidden ability also works on other player turrets and dinos, decreasing the range that other players turrets and dinos can detect the Mongolarachne from. Cave/Nighttime Buff When inside of a cave, or during nighttime, the Mongolarachne will gain a buff. Wild Mongolarachne cannot receive this buff since they live primarily in the wastelands where it is always daytime. This buff will decrease the amount of damage intake the Mongolarachne has, and increase the duration of the webs that the Mongolarachne shoots. Underground Burrowing Like the Purlovia, Basilisk, and a few others, the Mongolarachne has the ability to burrow underground and hide from other creatures or players. This burrowing ability can be used to store items, however when inside of this burrow, the Mongolarachne is extremely vulnerable to explosives and surprise attacks, and if attacked while in the burrow, the Mongolarachne will come out of the burrow and drop any items that are in its inventory. Let me know what you think of my creature, and vote for it if you would like to see it in Extinction! Thanks
  2. Eophrynus The Eophrynus is a predatory early arachnid that lived in carboniferous Europe. It was around 2.5 centimeters but my interpretation of the animal for ark would be around the size of a jerboa. In the ark world it would spawn in all the forested areas except for the Redwood, Where it will crawl on the ground among the bushes. It is a passive tame. It is tamed with a new item. The jar of ants. The jar of ants can be obtained by crafting a water jar. If the water jar is empty, it can be used on a Titanomyrma (drone or soldier) as long as its under 20 percent of its health. This will result in the Titanomyrma dissapearing and the empty jar turning into a jar of ants. With every jar of ants fed, the taming bar ofcourse goes up, until it is tamed. (When feeding a jar of ants, the jar will also disappear along with the ant. This is ofcourse not realistic but it makes the taming a little bit harder by not being able to reuse the jar and needing to craft multiple.) It is not aggressive and will run away when it notices a player. However it will attack Titanomyrma and meganeura by jumping and latching onto them and draining health. Once tamed, it can feed on spoiled meat or chitin. It can sit on the shoulder of the player. The Eophrynus can be set on a latching mode. If this mode is on (wich can be done in the settings) once it is removed from the shoulder it will be thrown by the player and any enemy player or wild/enemy tame that it hits it will latch onto. This will result in a bleeding effect that also deals torpor damage. It will un attach and return to the shoulder of its Master if it goes below half health. If it is thrown on a player it will attach to the players face. this impairs the players vision. But it can be removed similar to a leech. There is also a patrolling mode. If this is on it will wonder around and attack only wild bug animals. Since it does increased damage on bugs. Including but not limited to: the arthropleura, pulminoscorpius and araneo. This is very useful as it will keep annoying bugs away from the desired area. In this mode it can also follow and attack any nearby bugs. Now onto its main ability. In the settings there are four modes. One is the normal mode, where it will just sit on the shoulder. Two is the previously described latching and patrolling mode. The third one is the caving mode. (Not necessarily caving but it would be very useful in caves.) Once this mode is on it will act normally, until it is fed a jar of ants. After that the Eophrynus will inflict the bug reppellent effect on the player on wich it is mounted. There is a stat that can be leveled. The higher this stat is the longer the bug reppellent effect will last. this would make it very useful for caving. However there is a long cooldown for this ability that i will let the ark devs decide the length of, as i do not know what the optimal cooldown time would be. but it can also just be set on follow and aggressive, since it ofcourse does increased damage on bug creatures. (I do not own any of the pictures)
  3. THE ARACHNARE Basic Info: When you think of Extinction, you usually don't think of a normal dinosaur-looking creature. Unlike most other maps, the vast majority of new creatures introduced with the Extinction map are fantasy-related creatures, meaning that a new dinosaur creature wouldn't fit the theme of the map. Cave/Nighttime Buff When inside of a cave, or during nighttime, the Arachnare will gain a buff. Wild Arachnare cannot receive this buff since they live primarily in the wastelands where it is always daytime. This buff will decrease the amount of damage intake the Arachnare has, and increase the duration of the webs that the Arachnare shoots. Underground Burrowing Like the Purlovia, Basilisk, and a few others, the Arachnare has the ability to burrow underground and hide from other creatures or players. This burrowing ability can be used to store items, however when inside of this burrow, the Arachnare is extremely vulnerable to explosives and surprise attacks, and if attacked while in the burrow, the Arachnare will come out of the burrow and drop any items that are in its inventory. Let me know what you think of my creature, and vote for it if you would like to see it in Extinction! Thanks :)
  4. The Mongolarchne would have two variants male and female (both ridable). for example the males would have longer limbs and would have three modes of transportation, mode one would be swinging between red wood trees and the large rock formations on the center similar to the "bog spider", the second mode would be a gliding ability were webs are attached between the legs to glide, third mode is walking/running and climbing. the females would have larger bodies and shorter but wider legs. the females would be able to climb run and walk like the males but due to being bigger they can't glide or swing instead they create webs, to either catch prey or act as a trampoline of sorts. another ability would be "web bridges" if a gap blocks them or the player they shoot one web across and walk the line, but to make it more permanent they shoot two acting as a structure for players to walk across. due to the male spiders being as large as the creature fenrir and the females being as large as a trike the web bridge can only be large enough for anything smaller then a stego to cross safely, if a large creature attempts to cross, the bridge will break under the weight. but if two bridges are joined together it might allow heavier creatures to cross if the web fluid/ oxygen allows for it. both spiders would utilize the oxygen stat for web making having a larger pool of oxygen then stamina compared to other creatures. both spider are capable of catching prey in webs similar to the net gun however for the male spider its an ability with a cool down but with the female spider its not. the male spider would more closely resemble the wolf spider were as the female spider more closely resembles a tarantula with short but thick legs to support its weigh being less agile then the male. the male spider would be tamed by using bug repellent as a way to attract it to the player allowing the player to bring it food to tame. the female on the other hand would be more difficult requiring a male spider to offer it food wether alive or dead. if the creature is dead the taming effectiveness is lower then with it alive but the struggle would be easier to offer if dead were as alive is harder especially if the creature breaks free. for spawning the male spider would spawn in caves, redwoods, and stone cliffs area. for the female spider it would spawn 1 in every cave with a lower level than ones found in redwoods or stone cliffs. this is my first time doing a creature submission any and all feedback is welcomed :)
  5. Lunar Lycosidae are dangerous creatures, especially the females, they are bigger than the males and more dangerous, they live in the central island of the center and in the redwoods Skills:These creatures can charge a jump to jump very high when they are in the air or jump from a certain height, they can spread their legs and make a natural parachute of webs allowing them to glide for a while. Lunar Lycosidae are venomous and their bite can be lethal, their venom can also be extracted.Spiders will have 2 skill modes similar to the stegosaurus where it would have a battle mode where it would shoot web and slow the enemy and a speed mode where it would work as a A hook where she would put a web in a place and when she jumps she will be taken to that place allowing better movement from one area to another She can climb walls like any spider. Still about the battle modes, the attack mode where the spider launches webs at the enemy if this web hits enemies that are in the air, they will fall to the ground and these flying dinos are already on the ground They will not be able to take flight. Poisonous bite when biting a dinosaur, the venomous spider would apply poison to it, getting the poisoned effect that would do a little damage to it and consume a large part of its stamina. As nocturnal creatures they have night vision Like Desmodus'. all red night vision Taming: The female Lycosidae carry their young on their back the spiders are immune to torpor and too aggressive to be peacefully tamed the only way is to steal their young but how Any mother, the task will not be easy, you will have to put a cannon and shoot the spider in the face so that it falls so that its offspring can be proclaimed by the survivor The pups will stay on the survivors' backs until they reach a certain age. Extra information: males are smaller than females but more colorful When a male is tamed and a survivor is riding him if a female is found midway the male the survivor completely loses control of the creature the females are absolute Within the species. Saddles can be made at the level 55 Produced with 250 fibers, 180 leathers and 20 metals Utilities:They can be used to move easily around the map, their web can be used to trap dinos and build traps around them, this web affects large dinos with rex and its poison When extracted it can be made an antidote for spider venom, this antidote also gives an immunity bonus to other diseases. Diseases caught before taking the antidote are not cured. Spiders are nocturnal and sleep during the day, although when sleeping, getting close to steal a baby is still very difficult given the spider's almost perfect vision. Localização: They live mainly on the central island of the center in the red woods and in some abandoned buildings such as castle ruins. The file below and the creature's dossier made by me I couldn't post as an image and I did it like this. aranha foda.docx
  6. Hello survivors. I introduce you to my first creature concept for ARK so don't hesitate to ask for more details and also share your ideas in the comments. Thank you. I find it a pity that with more than 50,000 species known in our time only one type of spider is found in the game, which we will not lie to ourselves is not really useful. (Araneo) So I wanted to look into the subject to give the game and the players more diversity. (sorry for our arachnophobic friends) Mygalomorphae Aspída Aspidas have the same physical characteristics as mygals that we know at least if we don’t take into account their terrifying size. They are slightly smaller than karkinos but more massive, and would have chitin outgrowths on their bodies, particularly on their legs and abdomen, which would enable them to withstand blows, hence their name Aspída, meaning shield in Greek. Mygale without chitin outgrowths Shielded abdomen Wild : They are found mainly in the warm regions of the globe, tropical and subtropical areas such as dense wet or dry forests under rocks and tree strains but more in caves. Solitary by nature, females Aspídas live in their dens, a corner covered with cloth, whose entrance is trapped where they wait for a prey to be caught. Being a carnivorous species they will devour all creatures below their size caught in their trap, if they take too great a risk with their prey, they will not hesitate to free it to avoid serious injury. Unlike the males, who they constantly wander in search of females and will hunt the unconscious passing too close to them, except in the face of a more massive predator where they will prefer to avoid confrontation. However, male Aspídas can be seen leaping from rock faces to land violently on a predator, pinning it to the ground and delivering the fatal blow. Taming : (PASSIVE) Only female Aspídas can be tamed. To do this, you will need to draw her to the entrance of her dungeon with a baston or yourself and do her as much damage as possible before she kills your baston. She will eventually release her prey to shelter in her baston by plowing the entry with her body by adopting a defensive posture and will begin to regenerate. They will just take your assault back to starve her enough, which will have the effect of making her unable to treat herself, obviously be careful not to kill her during the process. After that she will stop defending herself and try to feed herself by grabbing your bastón and train her into her bark to devour it. To tame an Aspída, a single domestic dinosaur must be sacrificed. The taming speed varies according to the size and wild level of the dinosaur. The larger the prey, the longer the taming time, but will gain more levels compared to smaller prey that can be digested quickly. At the end of the taming process, the prey dies instantly. You will also have the opportunity to do it yourself by leaving yourself caught. (Again sorry for the arachnophobes) Before she devours you, you will use an insect repellent which will prevent her from biting you, and will leave you the field free to feed her with the "Filthy porridge" cooked in advance. If you delay feeding it, it will propel you out of its cage due to the insect repellent. Size Quantity Time Level (Aspída) Small x1 ≈ 2h29 lvl 75 Medium x1 ≈ 3h15 lvl 75 Large x1 ≈ 4h06 lvl 75 Filthy porridge x33 16min lvl 150 Recipe: "Filthy porridge" (2x raw prime meat) (10x organic polymer) (20x chitin) (5x human/leech blood) (3x silk) (1x waste*) * Waste is the undigested remains of aspídas prey, found in front of dens and close to male aspídas. Abilities: - The Aspída is a basic attack thanks to its first pair of legs which it shakes from top to bottom. (left click) She is also able to catch creatures in two different ways : 1- With its first pair of legs, it can catch creatures of equal or smaller size than stegosaurus. 2- Using her pedipalps, she can catch smaller creatures, including players. The larger or heavier the creature, the more the Aspída will lose in speed of movement. (Right click) - Aspída's body is covered with thin urticant hair that serves to repel its aggressors. (Crouch key) She rubs her abdomen with her fourth pair of legs to create a cloud of hair that will slow down any creatures that enter, and blind them if their heads are touched. - The particularity of the Aspída is its armored body which gives it a good basic resistance to physical damage. She can considerably increase this resistance by adopting a defensive posture, bringing her legs closer to her cephalothorax. (Ctrl) This dramatically reduces damage and protects the player from outside attacks, but reduces movement speed. This posture prevents him from catching creatures, but allows him to fend them off with his first pair of legs. The projection distance varies according to the creature's size, and only applies to creatures it can catch. (Right click) - She is only able to cure herself when she is in a defensive position. (Crouch Key) This healing mechanic is quite special because it is based on the fact that the Aspída needs to generate a "reserve of fluid" that it consumes to heal itself. This reserve is charged when the Aspída eats its prey or by making it eat "Filthy porridge". - When the Aspída catches creatures its base attack changes to a bite. (left click) This attack is used by stabbing the prey with its fangs without releasing it. The neurotoxin that paralyzes the prey prevents it from defending itself, not to mention the enzyme that predigests the internal organs and drains the life that feeds the Aspída's "fluid reserve". The creatures in this situation have only two solutions to hope to survive, either the Aspída releases it on its own, or an opposing player uses insect repellent on his mount, forcing the Aspída to let go. Bitten creatures and players will be given a malus (which reverses their movements or makes them look drunk) and slowed down, the duration of the malus depending on the duration of the bite. If the prey dies due to the process, its body turns into waste that the Aspída recovers in its inventory. - The Aspída shows incredible mobility thanks to its eight legs and moving on any type of surface (walls, ceilings). She has a jump that propels it forwards or upwards, depending on the camera angle, to surprise its prey. (Spacebar) The upward leap enables him to reach creatures in the air to catch them. - During a fall she can slow down its descent by linking its legs with its web and hovering to gain ground. (Spacebar) Weaknesses : The Aspida is immobilizable by the projectable net except when she is in its defensive position which reduces by two the time of immobilization and does not deflect the player and is not affected by the plants Z. But its greatest weaknes is fire. Once burned the Aspída can no longer heal itself and suffers more damage than other creatures. In its defensive position the flaming torches and arrows do not burn it and for the oil bottles, the flame lances and the wyvern fire take longer to be able to burn her. Breeding : Only females Aspídas can be tamed, so no mating.... It's a joke, of course it's possible to mate Aspídas ... but without males it's impossible unless you accept that wild male Aspídas can be good lovers, because yes that is the only way. You will first need to locate a male, secure the area around him to avoid accidents that could interfere with mating. Place yourself at a distance from the male to activate mating on your female, who will release pheromones that the male will detect and hasten to join her. Stay away from them, chasing away any unwanted intruders. Mating is rather quick, due to the cannibalistic manner of the females towards the males during mating. This forces them not to stay too long, so don't forget to put the female on "passive" to prevent her from devouring him. Males have a relatively short waiting time after each mating, compared to other creatures, giving other tribes a chance to enjoy them too. Babies : The female Aspída makes a cocoon to place its many eggs safely. The number of births is very low, between two and five, compared to the large number of eggs in the cocoon, this is due to the fact that they devour in them. (Nature is well done) Babies feed on "Filthy porridge", then as adults they will be able to eat spoiled meat like their parents and their gender will be determined in adulthood. Players can decide where the Aspída will set up its cocoon by giving it the order to place it on the floor, wall or ceiling. Utility : - I wanted to make the Aspída an alternative to the stegosaurus, with more uses and more gameplay variations, while at the same time playing the role of a tank that can destabilize the opposing team at any moment. - In terms of statistics, Aspída's health, stamina and weight are high, and she'll be the ARK creature with the most defense. - Its displacement capabilities allow it to go over walls to reach enemy defenses on the edge of cliffs or cave ceilings for example. - Its defensive posture enables it to support stegosaurus during raids, and also to heal itself by consuming "Immonde Mud", which feeds its fluid reserve. - Defensive posture and care can be activated in the Aspída action roulette. - Due to her diet, she can swallow consumables reserved for humans and benefit from certain advantages such as energy stew with +30% melee damage, concentration chili with +25% movement speed and pint of beer with increased damage resistance and without the nausea malus. Let's not forget that it feeds on the liquefied entrails of its prey. This allows us to adapt to the situation, such as rushing into bases under enemy turret fire to catch players or creatures playing at a distance. -Like Thylacoleos, Aspídas can project themselves into the void from a rock face (walls, ceilings, etc.) to catch flying or terrestrial prey. Flying prey will be grabbed and violently slammed to the ground, which will severely injure and stun them for a time, depending on the height of the fall and the weight of the Aspída. On the other hand, if a player is on top of the prey, he'll be thrown from his mount due to the impact on the ground. The same applies to terrestrial prey. Creatures that will be affected by this mechanic are those that can be caught with the first pair of legs and creatures larger than the stegosaurus, such as diplodocus, karkinos, paraceratherium, reaper, rock drake, spinosaurus, quetzal, wyvern, mamouth, ext ..., and also other Aspídas. Smaller creatures, including players using their pedipalps, are not affected, but can be caught in the air. - The use of insect repellent allows players and creatures to free themselves from the grip of Aspída after 3 seconds. - The player has the option to use his weapons on the back of the Aspída except during his defensive posture.
  7. Giant Venomous Spider / Arthrolycosa The colors are dark, mostly black. There are also dark gray, dark brown. Sometimes dark red. Poisons Two kinds of poison: one poison kills, the other poison torpidity. The use of each of the poisons can be turned on and off separately. Thus, it is possible to use one of the poisons or both at once. It is possible not to use any poison. Stocks of poisons are limited and are restored over time by actively consuming food. The maximum supply of poisons can be increased by pumping Weight. Poison DoT damage is scaled by the spider's damage stat. Action time 10 seconds. Sticking to a poison web stacks damage. Poison stings have a stacking duration. The combination of cobwebs and bites is especially dangerous. Poison does not work on some creatures, such as Rock Elemental. An antidote made from spider venom glands removes the poison's DoT and grants immunity to poison for 20 seconds. Cannot be cast while the web entanglement debuff is active. The antidote does not stack in inventory (like prime meat). Poison glands and antidote deteriorate very quickly. The refrigerator doesn't help. The antidote is crafted in the character's inventory. spiderweb In the dark, it is almost impossible to see the web, regardless of the gamma settings. You can see the web at a considerable distance only in bright sunlight. Moreover, the center of the web is much more transparent than its edges. In order not to fall into the web in the habitats of spiders, you will have to use a light source. A torch or charge pets will allow you to see the web at a distance of a few steps. Spiders have adapted somewhat to charge light, so charge pets' light isn't as effective at making webs visible from afar even if the webs are within charge light's radius. If the player runs fast, he will not have time to react and stop in front of the web. Charge Lantern will allow you to detect the web at three times the distance due to the high intensity of light. In spider habitats, web spawns at web spawn points. To ensure unpredictability, the number of web spawn points is many times greater than the number of simultaneously existing webs. Spawning occurs frequently, but only if there are live wild spiders nearby. The strength of the web is proportional to the level of the spider. When a creature touches a web, it receives a +10% web entanglement debuff and a +10% poison web debuff (depending on the web's poison type, if the web is poisonous). Each attempt of the stuck creature to move through the web or in the plane of the web adds +5% to the entangled web debuff and +5% to the poison web debuff (depending on the type of poison of the web, if the web is poisonous) no more than once per second. Any attempt to move a creature stuck to the web deals damage to the web in proportion to the size of the creature, no more than once per second. The web entanglement debuff reduces this damage. The web entanglement debuff reduces not only movement speed, but also attack speed. If the web entanglement debuff reaches 100%, the creature cannot move or attack. When a creature attacks a web, it receives a +10% poison web debuff (depending on the web's poison type, if the web is poisonous). When a player attacks a web with a melee weapon, they receive no debuffs. Firearms pierce webs without damaging them. After the web is broken, the web entanglement debuff disappears immediately, and the poison web debuff decreases by 1% per second. DoTs of the corresponding poison stack every second for each percentage of the poison web debuff. A creature stuck to the web with its back receives debuffs four times faster and cannot turn around to attack the web. A creature stuck to the web without touching the ground (while flying, gliding, jumping, falling) cannot move and gets +5% debuffs every second and passively deals damage to the web in proportion to the size of the creature. (as if the creature is constantly trying to move through the web). Flying and gliding creatures take x4 web damage. Poison Spider, Araneo and Bloodstalker can freely walk through the web without sticking to it or destroying it. The Bloodstalker still gets Poison DoTs, but without the Poison Web debuff. Onyc do not fly close to the web. Active abilities Web weaving. The player sets at least three points lying in the same plane between which the spider spins a web. After setting the third point, you can see the plane. The cursor sticks to the intersections of the plane with objects to set the remaining points. The area of the web is limited by the endurance of the spider. The time of weaving the web depends on the area. The web can be spun either normal or poisonous in accordance with the selected poisons. The bite of a spider, in addition to direct damage, can inflict a DoT of poison. High attack speed. The spider can spit venom. Bite/spit in the back deals x4 damage. Zip-Lines: The spider can create zip-lines from web strands. The maximum length of a zipline is 4 times that of a regular zipline. The web used for ziplines is not sticky or poisonous. Grappling Hook: The spider can climb or descend by hooking onto something with a web thread. This will NOT give him Bloodstalker speed. The spider can drag small creatures towards itself. Invisibility in the dark. The spider can weave a cocoon around a supply crate. Cocoon improves loot in the crate every minute for a maximum of 7 minutes. With each improvement of the loot, the cocoon changes color. 10 seconds after the opening of the cocoon, the box is destroyed, if not everything is taken from it, then the items remaining in the box fall to the ground. Weaving a cocoon takes 30 seconds. Cocooning is interrupted if the spider takes damage. If there are wild creatures nearby, they will attack the spider while weaving the cocoon. This should motivate players to kill the creatures in the caves instead of running past them with insect repellant, cactus decoction, and other means. The cocoon has no durability, cannot be destroyed, but can be opened by players. The spider spins a cocoon around itself. Until the cocoon is destroyed, the spider is invulnerable (with the exception of the railgun), but cannot move, attack, or use other abilities. This cocoon is durable and can be destroyed. Passive abilities The spider is immune to any poisons. Using the stickiness of the web, the spider protects the rider from dismounting. The spider senses beings that touch the web. The spider walks on the surface of the water and cannot sink into the water. The oxygen parameter is missing as unnecessary. Spider can walk on ziplines The venomous spider is of no interest to predators except for Giganotosaurus, Carcharodontosaurus, Corrupted Creatures, Brute Creatures and Bosses. Behavior The spider, using invisibility in the dark, sits in ambush and waits for the victim to stick into the web or pass by him and attack from behind. When the victim turns towards the first spider, the second spider attacks from the opposite direction. Poisonous spiders live mainly in dark caves. Untameable spiders of very high levels (500+) can be found near the artifacts. Taming To stun the spider, you must use the Charge Lantern. The stun falls off very quickly. The drug berry, etc., has no effect on the spider. The special poisonous kibble raises both the taming and the stun. Crafted from: Special Egg, Raw Prime Meat, Prime Jerky, Honey, Spider Venom, Titanoboa Venom, Nameless Poison, Megalania Toxin, Biotoxin. Spider mating is only possible in the dark.
  8. Wolf spider aberration Dossier: Wolf Spider Common Name: Wolf Spider Species Name: Lycosidae Diet: Carnivore Temperament: Aggressive Wild: The Wolf Spider, known scientifically as Arachnus cavernus, is a fearsome and predatory creature that resides in the depths of Aberration's hazardous cave systems. Its striking appearance and venomous capabilities make it a formidable opponent for any survivor who dares to venture into its territory. Arachnus cavernus has adapted to the dark and treacherous cave environment, utilizing its agile movements and keen senses to navigate with ease. Its jet-black exoskeleton blends seamlessly with the shadows, allowing it to remain undetected until it strikes with lethal force. Despite its aggressive nature, the Wolf Spider plays a crucial role in the cave ecosystem. It preys upon smaller creatures, helping to maintain a balance within the population dynamics of Aberration's underground world. Domesticated: Taming the Wolf Spider is a challenging but rewarding endeavor. Its aggressive temperament requires a survivor to approach with caution and patience. By nurturing spiderlings from collected egg sacs, you can raise these creatures from birth and gradually build a bond of trust and companionship. Once tamed, the Wolf Spider becomes a loyal and formidable ally. Its venomous bite and web-trapping abilities make it a versatile hunter and defender. Survivors who form a strong connection with the Wolf Spider will have a reliable companion capable of providing protection and assistance in the harsh cave environment. Description: The Wolf Spider, known as Arachnus cavernus, is a formidable and enigmatic creature that inhabits the depths of Aberration's treacherous caves. Following the cataclysmic events of the Ark's explosion, this species experienced an unprecedented mutation, resulting in its remarkable growth to the size of a Rock Drake. This monstrous arachnid now commands attention with its imposing stature and intimidating presence. Taming the Wolf Spider: Preparation: Gear up: Equip yourself with appropriate armor, weapons, and tools for navigating the hazardous zone of Aberration. Light source: Ensure you have a reliable light source to navigate the dark cave environment. Supplies: Bring ample food, water, and healing items to sustain yourself during the taming process. Locating the Spider: Journey into the hazard zone of Aberration, specifically the darkest and deepest parts of the caves. Be cautious of other hostile creatures in the area and keep an eye out for signs of the Wolf Spider's presence. Finding the Eggs: The egg sac is exclusively found on the mother spider, who guards it with utmost aggression and territoriality. In order to obtain the precious egg sack, it becomes necessary to eliminate the threat posed by the mother spider. Survivors must approach this situation with extreme caution and be well-prepared for a challenging encounter. Engaging the mother spider in battle is a perilous endeavor, as she possesses formidable strength, defensive capabilities, and the instinctual drive to protect her offspring. Survivors must strategize and utilize their skills, weaponry, and tactics to effectively eliminate the mother spider and claim the egg sack. It is crucial to weaken and defeat her while remaining vigilant and agile to avoid her lethal attacks. Once the mother spider has been successfully neutralized, survivors can carefully retrieve the egg sack from her lifeless body. The egg sack must be handled with care to avoid damaging its contents. Incubation: Once you find an egg sac, carefully collect it without attracting the attention of the mother spider. Create a secure and stable environment in your base or designated area for egg incubation. Ensure the conditions such as temperature to get as close to spider's natural habitat. Hatching and Care: Wait for the eggs to hatch, which may take some time. Monitor the incubation conditions and adjust if necessary. Once the spiderlings emerge, prepare to care for them by providing suitable food. Provide appropriate food items, such as insects or small prey animals. Survival of the Fittest: It is important to note that not all spiderlings will survive to adulthood. The number of survivors depends on chance and the conditions provided during incubation and early care. From a single egg sac, you can expect to get around 8 spiderlings, but only one will survive to become an adult. Similarly, if you obtain twins, you will have approximately 12 spiderlings, but only two will survive. In the case of triplets, you may have around 18 spiderlings, with only three of them successfully maturing into adult Wolf Spiders. It's important to note that the survival of the spiderlings follows a "survival of the fittest" principle. In their first baby form, the spiderlings display natural cannibalistic tendencies. They compete for limited resources and prey upon their siblings to ensure their own survival. That is why only some off them survives. They won’t eat anything else that they siblings in their first baby stage. This natural selection process ensures that the strongest and most resilient individuals survive, preserving the genetic traits that make the Wolf Spider a formidable creature. Bonding and Taming: As the spiderlings grow, interact with them regularly to establish trust and familiarity. Offer food items by hand or through a designated feeding spot to encourage the spiderlings to associate you with nourishment. Gradually build a bond with the spiderlings by spending time near them without displaying threatening behavior. Abilities: The Wolf Spider possesses several remarkable abilities that make it a formidable predator and a master of its dark underground domain. Wall and Ceiling Crawling: The spider exhibits extraordinary agility, allowing it to effortlessly traverse not only cave walls but also ceilings. This unique ability enables the Wolf Spider to move silently and swiftly in three-dimensional space, making it a formidable threat from any direction. Hunter's Instinct: Equipped with exceptional sensory perception, the spider can detect the slightest vibrations and movements in its environment. Using this heightened awareness, it actively seeks out potential prey or intruders, relentlessly tracking them within the darkness of the cave system. Once it locates a target, it prepares to launch its deadly assault. Pouncing Ambush: With its keen hunting skills, the Wolf Spider employs a strategic ambush technique. It waits patiently, perched on walls or ceilings, observing and tracking its prey. Once it confirms the presence of a target, it springs into action, launching a swift and powerful jump attack. This attack packs enough force to knock riders off their mounts, leaving them vulnerable to subsequent attacks. Paralyzing Venom: The spider's venom possesses paralytic properties, allowing it to incapacitate smaller prey and temporarily weaken larger foes with 10-20 % weakness. When it successfully bites a creature, the venom rapidly takes effect, causing temporary paralysis and disorientation. This enables the Wolf Spider to deliver subsequent strikes while its prey is unable to defend itself effectively. Bioluminescent Glow: The spider has the unique ability to emit a soft, eerie glow in the darkness of its cave habitat. This bioluminescence serves two purposes: it aids the spider in navigating the pitch-black environment and allows it to locate potential prey or threats with greater ease. The luminescent display can create an unsettling atmosphere and be a mesmerizing sight to behold. Attacks: Bite: The Wolf Spider lunges at its target, delivering a powerful bite infused with venom. The venom can weaken prey or temporarily immobilize smaller creatures or make a bleed effect type of poisen that slowly kills the health with 5 procent every bite. Attack - Pounce and Subdue: The Wolf Spider possesses the ability to crawl on walls and locate creatures. Utilizing its sensitive leg hairs, it detects vibrations and movements on vertical surfaces, allowing it to pinpoint potential prey or threats. When the Wolf Spider identifies its target, it swiftly pounces with agility and precision. It jumps of the wall or celling onto the creature it has detected. If it jumps on smaller to medium sized creature it lock it in like a trap so it can be used for taming or it can kill the things inside the trap but they can escape after 30 seconds. Against smaller to medium-sized creatures with riders, the Wolf Spider's attack becomes even more formidable. It launches itself onto the back of the creature, causing the rider to lose balance and forcefully dismount. With its sharp jaws and fangs, it delivers a lethal bite to swiftly dispatch the rider while trapping the persons creature. So it can also knock people of their mount like a thyla with flyers and holds the rider inside his jaws while it traps his dinos Against larger creatures, the Wolf Spider adapts its strategy. Instead of attempting to fully immobilize them, it cleverly latches onto their side, biting and weakening vital areas, much like the hunting tactics of the Deinonychus. So it can locate creatures and when it has located it make a jump attack. Encounter with Humans: Encountering the Wolf Spider should be approached with caution. Its aggressive nature and territorial instincts make it a dangerous adversary. Engaging in combat with this creature requires careful planning, suitable weapons, and protective gear. Only experienced survivors should attempt to face the Wolf Spider, as it poses a significant threat to those unprepared. Why Vote for the Wolf Spider: The inclusion of the Wolf Spider in Aberration's diverse ecosystem would introduce a thrilling and challenging creature to the game. Its unique abilities, aggressive behavior, and distinctive appearance would provide an exciting gameplay experience for survivors exploring the depths of Aberration's caves. By voting for the Wolf Spider, you would contribute to the expansion of the game's immersive and dangerous world.
  9. Mongolarachne jurassica common name: Mongolarachne diet: carnivore time: Middle Jurassic temperament: aggressive Image taken from the internet, I don't know how to draw well , use google translate, I don't know how to speak English in the wild and taming method This little spider, although it is small, has something very special about it. This spider will be poisonous, making accumulations that increase according to the more bites the attacked Dino has, the more damage it will have, the accumulations will be limited, it will be small,Being smaller than you being the size of a shoulder dinosaur, inhabiting forests. Although wild, this little spider is weak, when it lays its eggs on a creature, you can steal them through the guillie suit and an insect repellent you must be very stealthy to get them, in addition to going in spider colonies so it will not be profitable to go kill the spiders because they will start attacking you and doing a lot of damage due to the poison, but when you have the eggs you will have to breed them but depending on where it is born, it will have different abilities in addition to the abilities that they already have for being spiders such as climbing, attacking, throwing webs to relet and If you have a sleeping dinosaur, you can move it with your cobwebs forest: it's like the wild one but it can go on your back being like a grappling or if possible be like the bloodstalker to be able to swing in addition to occupying its web as a parachute the ones that can be mounted cave: This spider is small, about the size of a wolf to be able to pass the caves more easily, in addition to having a buff in the caves and at night, maybe more damage and resistance, and if he eats enough rotten meat, he will have the possibility of applying the mega rage prairie: This spider, having nothing, nowhere to hide, adapts to be more agile in movement and in attack, in addition to being able to jump like a Procoptodon and an attack like a mantis, launching itself against enemies would be the size of a woolly rhino desert: it can dig underground, and when moving it can generate a smoke of dust, blocking the vision of enemies, you can activate a function in which the spider makes a cave and spreading cobwebs around doing the same function as a parasaur but the dinos that are On top of that, they lose mobility, in addition to allowing other allied spiders to move better, in addition to giving you a resistance to heat equal to the size of the prairie spider ice: this spider can be camouflaged (invisibility) in addition to being able to shoot thorns occupying its mount to be like a sniper in addition to giving you resistance to cold size equal to that of the prairie spider redwood: this spider could be bigger, a little less than a t-rex, occupying its webs to catch prey of similar size, being a danger to flying dinos since its web would be more resistant than the other variants mountains: this spider can occupy materials such as iron, crystal, obsidian, allowing improvements to other spiders or alone for this spider, in addition to being like a fabricator or a blacksmith with obsidian, it could make a macuahuitl weapon with obsidian blades allowing bleeding tell us or do slashing damage doing more damage with iron it could create armor or weapons to be like a tank and glass and metal it could make a shield to be able to stop bullets if these improvements are not possible it could every time you create something with it it would give a mini buff to weapons like their damage and durability and you can increase this buff if you buff crafting skill size equal to redwood spider queen spider: you could have this spider if you sacrifice a titanosaur it would be large like a giga or a carcha or a little less but it would be quite strong I would like that if there are a number of dinos from the same biome it would have a buff to some of them their skills or statistics in addition to a buff if there are spiders it would give a buff to their spiders called loyalty following the queen not being able to be scared be resistant and more damage https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mongolarachne
  10. The Eophrynus prestvicii is a predatory early arachnid that was similar to a tick or a spider. it lived in carboniferous Europe.
  11. The arbanitis is a giant trapdoor spider Local to the desert area, such as scorched earth, this giant spider lives in small burrows that survivors try to take over to build small bases to hide from the weather. They posses a stunning bite which they use most by striking from under ground after burrying themselves. They also posses the ability to jump large distances and have limited glide ability and take no fall damage. They can also climb on walls and ceilings. When tamed these spiders make an excellent travel companion with there ability to glide and make taming easier with there torpor inducing bite. You would find these buried in the sand in small pocket burrows that your p/c could build a small shelter out of the weather in.
  12. Hello everyone! I present to you the Odontomegops Titan, from the Lagonomegopidae family, this spider stands out from the others in its family for its large size (although not as large as proposed for the game) and for having real teeth within its category, Its name is a combination of Greek odonto (meaning teeth) referring to the true teeth on the cheliceral retromargin and mega-ops (meaning large eyes). My proposal with this creature is one that is not a competition or replacement of creatures already in the game like "the super tanky op something" or "mega giga-killer therapod" but also not a useless creature or that you would only tame at the beginning of your adventure and that it will be forgotten later in the game, but something truly useful no matter what stage of gameplay you are in or the type of player you are (pvp / pve), this arachnid companion would be the only creature that not only inflicts torpor being wild but also allows you to use this ability once tamed, as well as adding new combat, taming and breeding dynamics. Here other ideas for this creature: -Its eyes shine at night making it a little more distinguishable when is buried. -Depending on the size of its victim, more than one spider at a time could adhere to it. -The only way to get rid of it (besides falling asleep) would be killing it, with fire, or removing it with an option (similar to the leech). -Inflicts no damage, just torpor. -Leveling its points in attack would affect how much torpor it does. -Its stamina determines how long it can stick to its victims. -Killing it drops its poison, which can be used as a regular narcotic but much more powerful. Basic Info Dossier Species Odontomegops Titan Time Cretaceous Diet Carnivore Temperament Aggressive Wild “The Odontomegops Titan is the master creature in ambush hunting, so you'd better watch your step when wandering its territory. This spider buries itself in the sandy desert floor to wait for its unfortunate prey to be close enough to emerge from the ground and attach itself to its prey by surprise. Although this arachnid is not that big compared to other prehistoric creatures, this will not stop it from attacking larger creatures, since its hunting strategy is not to kill but to stay attached to its prey and inject its powerful narcotic poison to put them to sleep.” Domesticated “As long as it is kept far from arachnophobics, domesticated Odontomegops is a living tranquilizer weapon, although it is not possible to mount it, it can be carried on the survivor's shoulder so you can throw it at your target, sticking to it, excellent for fast creatures and difficult to knock out, this is also perfect for pvp, Whether you carry it with you or bury it in the ground, it will not fail to ambush your enemies and knock them out of battle.” Behavior Due to their aggressive temperament, the Odontomegops will attack any survivor on sight. Unlike most spiders, it does not produce a web to catch its prey, but waits patiently buried in the ground to catch it, adhering to it as if it were a leech, injecting its sleeping venom until its prey falls asleep. Although extremely difficult to see, it is more common to find them in sand dunes. Appearance The Odontomegops is approximately one meter long, making it an impressive and intimidating sight. Its body is covered in a coarse, light brown exoskeleton that helps it blend in with the surrounding sand. The spider has eight long legs, each equipped with sharp, hooked claws that allow it to quickly burrow into the sand. When hunting, the spider uses its excellent eyesight to detect prey from a distance. Buried in the sand, leaves only its eyes and the tips of its legs visible. The Odontomegops is patient and waits for its prey to come within range before quickly emerging, clinging to its victim with its powerful legs to trap it. The spider's fangs are large and razor-sharp, allowing it to deliver a potent narcotic venom that knocks out its prey. Is a formidable predator that uses its large size, impressive speed, and powerful venom to ambush and immobilize its prey. Drops Chitin Raw Meat Odontomegops Venom Taming Similar to the Troodon, you must offer your tames to the Odontomegops. Unlike the Troodon, the Odontomegops will begin to ramp up your creatures' torpor, adding to its taming progress for each creature it knocks out. The amount of taming progress will depend on how much torpor stat the creature the Odontomegops attaches to has, so if you try to doze it with small or low toughness creatures you may need several and their taming effectiveness will start to drop. Important Note: Odontomegops do not stick to already sleeping creatures. Knocking out the player will not count towards taming progress. If the creature it's attached to takes damage or its torpor goes up or down for any reason other than its own effect, the taming effectiveness will start to drop. Once the Odontomegops puts its victim to sleep, if it has not been tamed, it will run away and bury itself again, you will have to wait until it is ready for the next creature since it will not jump until it is buried. Breeding The females of this species are great mothers, being overprotective of their young to ensure their survival. After mating with the male, the female will create a large egg sac (bigger than themselves) in which she will perch until it hatches; she will not be able to move from there, nor can they defend or attack until the sac hatches. The hatching of the egg sac will not depend on the temperature but on the female continuing to care for it. Between one and five spiderlings may hatch from the egg sac (without being a clone of one another, each one will have its own stats, colors, mutations, etc.) which will need to be close to the female in their baby stage to eat or else they will die, once this stage is passed they will feed on the food placed in their inventory or nearby feeder like any other baby creature and will not need their mother anymore. Locations Can be found in caves and the desert dunes, making them even harder to find. Utility Roles Base Defense/ Land Mine: Putting several of these creatures in ambush mode around your base will keep out anyone who doesn't want to be caught asleep in front of your base. As well as keeping tanky creatures at bay from emptying your turrets if they have to worry about not falling asleep in front of them first. Taming Buddy: The Odontomegops is the ultimate partner for taming creatures that require a knockdown, whether carrying it on your shoulder to throw it at your target or burying one or more ready to ambush, its potent narcotic poison and ability to stay attached to its victim will ensure the fall of your objective. Distraction: Being relatively small, the Odontomegops serve as a distraction for other larger creatures and players who must take care of their surroundings so as not to be ambushed, their fast movements and ability to hide make them difficult targets to attack. Also making whoever has been caught by the spider move back from the battlefield so as not to fall asleep in the middle of the fighting area. Battle Disruptor: Bringing these creatures into battle could make the difference by knocking out enemy creatures and players, if they're distracted in the rampage and not that they now have a living tranquilizer attached to them raising their torpor quickly. 13. COMMON NAME: Camel Spider SCIENTIFIC NAME: Galeodes arabs TYPE: Invertebrates DIET: Carnivore SIZE RELATIVE TO A Trike: in game name: Galeodes arabs Myths and Rumors For many years, Scorched Earth have painted camel spiders as large, venomous predators, as fast as a running parasaur, with a voracious appetite for large mammals. The myths are true. These creatures do actually eat morellatops' stomachs or sleeping soldiers, and they are large. camel spider is an amazing predator. Feeding Camel spiders are deadly to humans (and their bite is painful), they are vicious predators that can visit death upon trikes, parasaur, and argentavis. These hardy desert dwellers boast large, powerful jaws, which can be up to one-third of their body length. They use them to seize their victims and turn them to pulp with a chopping or sawing motion. Camel spiders are not venomous, but they do utilize digestive fluids to liquefy their victims' flesh, making it easy to suck the remains into their stomachs. You will ride it on the back. Its will have a poisonous attack on right click. It can crawl on walls like a thylcoleo and jump but not really high. Its will be able to burry its self and you will know there is a burried camelspider because its legs up front will stick up. When its tamed you will be able to force it under ground as a trap like thing. Taming you will have to kill things for it and after that you will get to ride it around. When you are riding it you will have to go and kill enough to get the taming par up. Its have a high melee damage and around 1200 health. Its have good stamina. Not the best weight. its just as fast as a parasaur. Weaknes are pulmonoscorpius, death worms, mantis, megatherium and arthropleura. Pulmonoscorpius, death worms, mantis, megatherium and arthropleura will have a higher damage rate when hitting camelspider. it can grab other creatures and poison them. Its strongere than a cano but weakere that a rex. Just as strong as a allosaurus. hope you like it

    Araneomorphus

    From the album: Dossiers

Common Name: Spider Species: Araneomorphus amalgotantibus Time: No Equivalent, traits begin as far as Mesozoic Era Diet: Carnivore Temperament: Aggressive Wild: I don't know where to start with Araneomorphus amalgotantibus. It has so many of the nightmare inducing traits of spiders from among many family and genus. It fires webbing like a bola spider, it spits venom like a lynx spider. It has a poisonous bite like a myriad of spiders, and can see in the dark by sensing vibrations. And to top it off, Araneomorphus is larger than an adult human! If that wasn't enough, I'm convinced that some of the caves on the island have actually been dug by Araneomorphus, but this worries me. Either Araneomorphus is a colony-spider (like ants), or there is a much larger Araneomorphus somewhere on the island. Domesticated: As long as it is kept far from arachnophobics, domesticated Araneomorphus makes an excellent guardian creature for anyone wanting to avoid killing. Their strange web-spraying behavior is also quite helpful while hunting fast, fleeing prey. They are too small to be used as mounts, however...
