An idea for saddle and equipment upgrade/customization that is different from just the quality system and is more primitive and tribal theme friendly. Would let you get access to saddle Upgrades a different way and differs between creatures etc, good for maps that have an absence of tek or Industrial technology and want a more paleo, tribal, medieval or Ancient feel to the game. War Saddle - A war saddle is a saddle version that can be crafted for many creatures that are rideable and comes with many ways to upgrade and augment it visually and functionally. Made by crafting an Artifact of any kind with a saddle, War Saddles have the unique ability to give a tribe-wide Alpha buff to all your dinos nearby when the creature uses their Roar ability, whether or not it has mechanics. They also can be upgraded with Trophies found from slain creatures. All the leftover bones, skulls, eyes, tentacles, feathers and scales you collected can now be used to decorate and customize the saddle, which also adds additional armor, damage or speed to the dino (depending on the piece). These are either added directly onto the saddle or crafted into items able to be added in the case of ones requiring multiple of a trophy such as Vertebrae, Feathers, Teeth or Claws. Examples being Alpha Raptor Claw - Damage Alpha Rex Skull - Defense and Damage Alpha Rex Tooth - Damage Alpha Megalodon Fin - Speed Alpha Mosasaur Tooth - Damage Alpha Tuso Eye - Decoration Alpha Basilisk Fang - Damage Argentavis Talon - Damage Sauropod Vertebrae - Defense Therizino Claws - Defense and Damage Thylacoleo Hook-Claws - Damage and Speed Sarco Scales - Defense Megalodon Tooth - Damage Tuso Tentacle - Damage and Speed Basilisk Scale - Defense Rock Drake Feather - Speed War Saddles can be somewhat customized beyond just the Trophies too. They each have 4 Slots. A head slot, a spine slot, and one for the sides (or hips/thigh/flank region on most dinos), and a 4th for banners or flags, the first 3 can be equipped with either a trophy or other items that can be used for armor, augmentation or pure decoration, which can all be individually painted before putting them on. Shields are another item that can be equipped onto the Saddles, working as you might expect one too realistically, they block and stop projectiles entirely, and are subject to the strengths of the material they're made of, meaning they may need to be repaired and some will be better than others. Shields tier Riot and above cannot be equipped onto War Saddles.

Temperamment: Regarding its wild behavior, Hatzegopterix is aggressive towards any Passive or herbivorous creature, and of course, any survivor brave enough to approach it! Tamming : For its taming, Hatzegopterix will need any type of meat, and also exceptional kibble. but the most complicated thing with Hatzegopterix is its extraordinary resistance. Indeed, the skin of this creature is much too thick for darts to pass through it, which will force the survivors of the ark to knock it out to have to tame it. But how to do it ? to knock out Hatzegopterix, he will have to turn his own game against himself. During his "Dive Meteors", place structures like walls or pillars (made of metal or tek, knowing that the tek structures are more effective), so that Hatzegopterix takes the structures and knocks himself out (knowing that the structures are destroyed with each dive). the number of structures needed to stun it is different depending on the level of the creature. Utility : Once tamed, Hatzegopteryx is able to do 2 kinds of dives: - the banal dive, to gain speed -the Meteor dive, allowing Hatzegopterix to cause enormous damage: The meteor dive creates an explosion at the moment of impact which destroys the surrounding structures. The meteor dive requires the saddle to be performed, and it has a durability that will prevent Hatzegopterix from making dives once it is broken. However, a broken saddle can still allow survivors to ride it. Additionally, Hatzegopterix has a resistance that reduces damage by 15%. His saddle also prevents being unsaddled by creatures like the Microraptor and prevents the player from taking any damage while in the saddle. Similar to Giganotosaurus or Carcharodontosaurus, Hatzegopterix is nerfed once tamed. Thank you for looking at my concept and I hope it has you more! Irl laophis is an extinct genus of large viper, it existed in Greece during the pliocene period. They got to roughly 3-4m in length and 26kg in weight. For in game purposes the snake would defenetly have to be made much larger (perhaps slightly larger then the current titanoboa) and instead of being spesifically a viper, i imagane it as more of a hybrid between many diffrent species of venomous snakes. This would include things like cobras, rattle snakes, other vipers and most importantly flying snakes. This is more or less the idea behind the creature, taking unique traits from many diffrent modern snake species and combinging them into a single highly mobile, high dmg, all round tame Dossier: "Wild Boasting many features found in all kinds of snakes, laophis is problably one of the most desirable creatures in the ark. It spends most of it's time hiding at the base of large rocks, mountains and such. Waiting for it's preffered prey to walk by. Once it does laophis will launch it's head towards it and deliver a bite full of venom, which takes effect almost immediately. Laophis is capable of delivering leathal doses of venom in a single bite, but it takes time for it to produce such ammounts which makes them almost skittish when confronted by another predator. Suprisingly, instead of using the rattle at the end of it's tail as a warning, it actualy seems to lure certain creatures closer. Presumably due to the fleshy structure on it resembeling food. Still a laophis rearing up and showing off it's cobra like frill is more then enough to deter most smaller threats. Domesticated Perhaps the snake's most suprising feature is it's ability to climb, leap and most shocking of all, glide. A behavior rarley observed in wild laophis, but utilised to it's full potential by survivors. Once on a high perch laophis can launch itself in a certain direction and almost identical to modern flying snakes, it can propel itself a great distance, all whilst carrying a survivor on it's back." The ability to climb and jump would tie in extremly well with gliding. I can imagane laophis climbing up redwood trees and vertical surfaces perhaps similar to a megalania or thyla, while also having a regular and a charged (mainly vertical) jump (for a refrence imagane it jumping as sort of a goofy snake spring coil). The gliding ability is based on flying snakes, in game imagane the snake almost like a thyla pouncing of a tree and then massivly extending the distance travelled by slithering in the air, with the ability to turn mid air to some extent. The lure ability is based on the spider-tailed horned viper, which has an arachnid mimicking structure at the end of it's tail. Since laophis is suposed to lure herbivores and carnivores alike, perhaps a structure resembling a leaf or even a chunk of meat would be more appropriate for it. Abilities: Venom: similar to an amargasaur's spikes, venom is almost like an additional stat that the snake produces on it's own. Venom inducing attacks will use up diffrent ammounts of the avalible venom stat (depending on the attack) which is displayed next to the hotbar (once again like an amarga's spikes). Venom deals damage over time depending on the snake's own melee dmg % (which scales up to a certain %). -(LBM) Primary bite attack: basic bite with no additional effects -(Hold LBM) venom bite: laophis launches at a select target delivering a great ammount of venom. Deals both heavy base and venom dmg, but uses most of the venom stat -(RBM) Stance change: laophis rears up, from this stance it can perform it's ranged abilities: -(LBM in stance) Venom spit, laophis delivers a lesser ammount of venom in a long range cobra-like spit. Uses significatly less venom then venom bite, but deals less damage as well -(C in stance) intimidation: laophis uses it's frill and roars to intimidate smaller threats -(C) rattle lure: laophis uses it's rattle to get any creature not curently hostile closer to it. -Heat vision: identical to the snow owl, can be turned on in a menu similar to desmodus -(Space) jump: a vertical jump that takes laophis high above the ground, can be held down to increase distance. -(Hold space) gliding/climbing: when in the air laophis can intitate a glide, imagane it as a slithering slow fall, exept laophis can travel forward at incredible speeds loosing minimal height, though not being able to gain it either. While also being able to turn mid air. Laophis can climb vertical surfaces similar to a thyla gameplay wise, but in a simialr fashion to how many modern

Platecarpus is a small Mosasaur that lived in the Late Cretaceous around 20 feet long. I have no pictures or real ideas for the animal except three, It would be the fastest aquatic and be a deinonychus of the sea and Thermal Vision as they are closely related to monitor lizards. Plus, a taming method where you have to passively feed it Ammonite Pheromones. And that is basically it. Any other Ideas to add on will be happily used and the person who gave it will be thanked it the replies. Please look at Wikipedia for references of this creature.

Hatzegopteryx Spiecies: Hatzegopteryx thambema Time: Maastrichtian of the Cretaceous. Diet: Carnivore Temperament: Aggressive Wild I never imagined I would see such a big bird that seems to almost rival the mighty Quetzalcoatl in size! They do not seem to be very friendly to humans, and larger creatures don't seem to be interesting to them at all. They seem to mostly fly around the big floating island at the center of the map, it seems almost impossible for one to even come near to these flying beasts, and it seems that they almost never need to land to rest their mighty wings. Domesticating this wild creature might be near impossible. Domesticated Some survivors have attempted taming the beasts and after many failed attempts with many deaths as a result they finally succeeded in taming these flying titans. The method that ended up being a success is rather morbid though. They were taunting the beasts and since they are aggressive towards humans by nature it made them follow them home in rage. They then took out living baby dinosaurs, this made the creature stop its wrath for a short moment and it then switched target to the baby dinosaurs. The insane survivors then fed it baby dinosaurs and that kept the creature docile until it was completely domesticated by mankind. When a domesticated Hatzegopteryx seems to be an all around good flier although it doesn't have the mighty weight of a Quetzalcoatl or the speed of a pteradon, this bird is one of the mightiest air fighters ever seen. Even seems to have a kind of fighting instinct that lets it lock on to dinosaurs going into a kind of state of rapid positional changes much like the Tapejara way of flying through the air. They seems to have a certain ability to eat up small dinosaurs and getting more meat out of them, even getting prime meat out of smaller sized dinosaurs too, and if that isn't enough it has picked up a tendency if it is left by a creature its owner is in the process of taming, it will use its mighty wings to blow away hostile dinosaurs and scream to alert its owner. It has the will to save its owner from danger by flying over them, grabbing them with its beak and throwing them onto their saddle if called for. Stats It will have less weight than a Quetzalcoatl But will be rather slower than a Pteranodon, but not as slow as a Quetzalcoatl. Abilities On the ground: Left mouse button will cause the beast to attack (if done against small creatures it will instakill it). While flying: Left mouse button will cause normal attacks similar to the very similar to a Quetzalcoatl. On the ground: Pressing spacebar makes it take off into the air While flying: Holding spacebar makes it glide down through the air, much like the Rockdrake but with the advantage of already being able to fly. Gliding makes it regain some stamina since it's almost resting while gliding down which is also well combined with the button that creates a big burst of speed sending the beast dashing forward Right click: locks on to a target for a short while, if held it will keep its focus on the nearest dinosaur(if done in the air it will hover like a Tapejara, to make combat easier) C button On the ground: Will make it flap its win in front of it making knocking back dinosaurs, even doing a little bit of damage While flying: Will make it do a dash in the targeted direction making it dive into the target doing a good amount of damage to the target and making them bleed for a short period of time. But this will also be consuming a large amount of stamina, can also be used to give the glide more momentum and travel far distances fast. / On the ground: Lets the Hatzegopteryx grab creatures in certain sizes with its beak and carry them around. While flying: It will also carry creatures but if used on a bigger hostile dinosaur it will apply a temporary bleed to the target. Rescue mode: Holding the button on the Hatzegopteryx will open the interaction wheel for the dinosaur and there will be an option called Rescue mode. With rescue mode enabled: If called upon with a whistle the Hatzegopteryx will instantly fly to its owners rescue by picking them up with its beak and throwing them onto their saddle saving them from danger. Taming protection It has by default the ability if it is left by a creature its owner is in the process of taming, it will use its mighty wings to blow away hostile dinosaurs and scream to alert its owner. Meat gather: When killing small creatures such as Dodo’s, compy’s, Dilo’s and Oviraptor’s, they will get insta killed and consumed immediately. They will get more meat and have a big chance to also get prime meat from them, even though they are smaller dinosaurs.This will also apply to babies. Well feed boost: When the Hatzegopteryx eats a baby dinosaur it will gain temporary increased speed and decreased stamina consumption(the speed will rival that of the wyvern). Taming: The Hatzegoperyx is by nature aggressive towards humans, so it will chase anyone in a deep rage. By luring the Hatzegoperytx to your home and show them a baby dinosaur, it will immediately switch target from you to the dinosaur, by feeding them the baby dinosaur it will progress the tamebar and the Hatzegoperytx will remain calm as long as you keep feeding it. You will have to do this until it's completely domesticated.

Once again a creature that I came up with and wrote the information below multiple years ago and don't have the time or desire to change most of the information. However I think this one will work well for Ragnarok. The moves are obviously just a general concept and of course everything is subject to change by the all mighty wildcard but I still am proud of creating this creature's idea. Elaphrosaurus Diet: Fish/meat and carrion Rider Weaponry: Yes Wild Elaphrosaurus is a very slim built agile predator. They have sharp pointy teeth and long necks that allow them to grab fish from rivers by using their neck as a fishing rod. They have long powerful tails that help them balance when running which can also be used to whip away attackers. They are not very strong and are quite frail but what they lack in strength they make up for in speed. Elaphrosaurus are incredibly fast, capable of catching up with and even outspeeding a Gallimimus which would usually be the fastest land creature on the arks but not when Elaphrosaurus is around. Domestication These speedy creatures are actually quite easy to domesticate. It will require you to kill a fish and feed it to the Elaphro and then it will ask for fish in different ways such as feeding it raw fish meat or raw prime fish meat, dragging a fish to it to feed, or even capturing a fish in a fish basket and feeding it that way. Once tamed they are very good at transportation due to their incredible speed and agility. They can even swim quite fast and jump high out of the water. The Elaphrosaurus saddle has two seats so you can bring along a tribemate. I’ve also seen advanced survivors use a special tek saddle that further increases Elaphro’s speed even further with specialized booster jets fueled by element that make it run so fast that it can even run on water! This saddle also allows it to swim at higher speeds as well as better maneuverability underwater. And on top of all that, Elaphros grow stronger in groups called fleets, which is what their name means, “Fleet Lizard”. Overall they are a great addition to any tribe that requires speedy transportation. Controls Left click: Bite: 100 base damage, drains stamina Right click: Tail whip: 135 base damage, high knockback, changes direction (left or right) depending on where you look C - Claw swipe: 120 base damage, inflicts deinonychus bleed X - Directional tail sweep: 135 base damage, high knockback, turns and does a tail sweep in the direction you’re looking (360 degrees) Control: Activate tek saddle: allows boosted speed by sprinting (tek run speed) while the saddle is activated as well as improved underwater maneuverability O - Roar: when in a group (called a fleet) will cause the whole fleet to roar afterwards, applies “Fleet Rally” buff to the entire fleet which increases damage and speed by 15% for 1 minute Extra info The tek saddle would be a 2 or 3 seater while the regular saddle would be a 1 or 2 seater. This creature is mostly meant for travel but would have decent damage but low health.
