Single player settings Hello, i dont speak english so i hope you can understand me well, im playing single player since i dont have enough time to play on officials, im using low settings like 4x taming, 1x xp, harvesting, stats, etc, the problem is with breed settings, i dont know how to balance them to get 100% imprint, i want it to be 15x mature speed and x3 hatching, but i dont know which numbers i have to put at all imprint settings to be able to get full imprint, could anyone tell me? Thanks
  2. Local offline Improvements to gameplay Dear Wildcard studios, I play Ark a lot with my brother local split screen offline and it is a positive as well as a negative the dreaded host chain/line. I think it would be an improvement to ours and others gameplay experience if there were an option in the settings to disable or completely remove the host chain/line so that we can do things in the world without having to be confined together. This is my suggestion. Thank you, have a nice day.
  3. the toggle HUD keybind does nothing on the windows 10 version of the game, it is in the settings, and you can set a key bind to it (default is backspace I believe) but it does nothing when used. and by toggle HUD I am talking about hiding your hotbar/hp,stam,ect. this is not just my personal experience, my entire cluster of 15+ maps have helped me confirm that it is just not working and does nothing. the lag on these servers is already terrible, so if I can get 1fps better by turning off my HUD, its worth it to me. ****please for the love of god do not tell me "just press backspace"! because I can 100% tell you it doesn't work, with 300+ people on the server to back it up***
  4. PS4 Breeding Stats Hi All, I was hoping to get some advice about the breeding settings in single player on PS4. All the advice I’ve found is for PC or server settings and I’ve tried them but you can’t get those same values in the console settings that you can use on PC or in server settings. I run a PS4 server as well, and I can get the settings just fine through GPortal, but on console those numbers just aren’t possible. Thanks in Advance! Bulba.

Safe zone premium Abonnement servers Everyone is crying about laggy server and too easy raids and loosing everything, In my opinion this problem could get fixed with separate, from players payed "home" servers (like the upload but with space for breeding new dinos) where they can hide and raise there dinos (maybe with a double breeding intervall) It's frustrating to loose all the dinos u found while long time searching for them, and the raiders don't get anything from killing them. (it shouldn't be able to hide blueprints or other stuff what make a raid worth it) I think this would make the game much more playable for smaller tribes in pvp who can't be online 24/7
  6. Restricted Creatures Make it so players can disable certain creature species in their ark's, similar to what you did with engrams in the world settings. This would allow for so much more roleplaying and similar things in the game, (for example removing all the creatures that are not medieval-fantasy, like horses and direwolves).
  7. So I've played ark a lot and I learned I prefer single player but I get impatient and end up turning on cheats and running around with a level 1,000,000 Yutyrannus. What have other people found to be the best single player settings? Including Imprinting too because I want to delve into mutations, I work 8 hours during the week and go to school as well, I just play to relax and have fun but I still want to breed and take on bosses but I don't have days to devote to just this game. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
  8. engram options an option in settings to allow players to have all possible engrams for their level, (I.E., playerlvl37, they have every engram up to level 37, but not anything higher than their level) stat levels would be the same, but this would enable people who play single player, or play without a tribe to have access to all the engrams, maybe make it available for primitave+ as well
  9. Hi, I'm running a private server on Ragnarok and decided to move to The Island. I uploaded my character and some dinos normally, some in cryopods. Then I restarted the server with identical settings (including DifficultyOffset 1.0, OverrideOfficialDifficulty 5.0) but The Island as map. When I retrieved my character on the Island, I realized, that all wild dinos had weird levels. Many were level 4, but also levels like 11, 29 and 51 appeared, which is absolutely not the max level 150 with increments of 5 that the aforementioned difficulty settings should provide Then I started unloading cryopods and all unloaded dinos were level 1. My super spy glass showed, that they indeed had no stat investment whatsoever. I've read about this level 1 dino problem before but found no solution. Are these problems even related?
  10. I'm using the new setting for stacking on my server and I can stack everything I want except Raw prime meat. No matter what I do I always have only stacks of 1. I'm trying to get stacks of 10 from prime and I already tried this (all didn't work): 1-) Put only ItemStackSizeMultiplier=10.000000 on GUS.INI 2-) Put ItemStackSizeMultiplier=10.000000 on GUS.INI and ConfigOverrideItemMaxQuantity=(ItemClassString="PrimalItemConsumable_RawPrimeMeat_C",Quantity=(MaxItemQuantity=10,bIgnoreMultiplier=true)) on GAME.INI 3-) Put ItemStackSizeMultiplier=10.000000 on GUS.INI and ConfigOverrideItemMaxQuantity=(ItemClassString="PrimalItemConsumable_RawPrimeMeat_C",Quantity=(MaxItemQuantity=1,bIgnoreMultiplier=false)) on GAME.INI I'm out of options, everything else works, including Raw Mutton, Raw Prime Fish Meat, Wyvern Milk, etc... Thanks for any help on this subject.

  12. (Unofficial Dedicated) Added Settings Why are unofficial dedicated servers limited? We are spending our hard earn money on servers can we get more settings to mod our clusters. Example I would like to enable element transfer in the obelisk. I would like to make element dust conversion 1 to 1 instead of losing 80% I would like to enable summoning bosses inside Tek Transmitters. Why are these things not available to unofficial servers. I am spending $100s a month to host multiple maps, can I get the options to mod the cluster the way I see fit. This is not official server so all limitations should be lifted give us all the settings for every possible in game items and let us configure our servers to our best abilities. Why aren't there a specific setting for the element veins? Maybe I want the veins to be 5x but I don't want the general settings to be 5x, how am I suppose to accomplish this? It would be nice to have all the options available for paying customers who are supporting the game by hosting dedicated servers that would be real nice. Why get a Tek Transmitter only to have to go to a beacon to summon bosses, I can understand this being a problem on official servers because it would take away from the PVP aspect of the game but on PVE unofficial dedicated no one cares to take their rexes to a obelisk 5 million times that gets old fast. It is PVE and unofficial this should not be a issue. PC players can do whatever they want while us console players get left in the dark. We need more settings to enable things that matter to us, I want everyone on my cluster to be able to transfer their elements to any map, I don't want anyone to be forced to fight bosses on a specific map because they can't move their elements. Please WC add these settings so US unofficial dedicated servers can talor the game how we see fit. Thank You!
  13. Help with cuddle interval? Hi all! Im guessing a lot of people are asking this question, but I've never really understood it so I'm hoping someone is able to help me. I'm running a newly started cluster and I'm having some problems with maturespeed vs. cuddleinterval. Seems like the calculator I used is out of date or something. My settings are Babymaturespeedmultiplier: 25 Babycuddleintervalmultiplier: 0.1 How do I make it so most dinos get 100% imprint without to much hazzle? Pteradon to giga. Thanks!
  14. Single player settings (sliders) won't save HELP ME I play single player on my Nintendo switch and my advanced settings reset every time I log out. This is very frustrating because I cannot play the game normally this way. Can anyone please help me? I already tried change settings-start game-exit game-options-save and exit but that didn't work. PLEASE HELP MEEEEEE
  15. The Save Our Eyes Suggestion I am going to keep it simple and easy to understand. First off this suggestion is in regards to Ark on PS4, although it could extend to other console platforms. My knowledge and experience only pertains to the ps4. The Issue? The ridiculous bloom and light intensity. Specifically on Aberration where navigating the Element Zone is unbearable. There are days where my eyes are literally suffering physical symptoms such as popped blood vessels and obvious irritation due to this games bloom settings. Not to mention the fact that the ability to change this setting is a feature that has been lacking on PS4. Terminology: What is bloom for those of you who do not know? It is the extreme glowing effect seen when you look at bright lights in Ark survival evolved. It renders practically all of your screen unable to be seen as if a bright light is in your eyes. A real life example of this would be trying to look directly at the sun(which might I add is not a healthy thing to do for fun). History: The start of the problem I hope I am not the only one who remembers the early days of Ark ps4. Where there was a screen tear and blinding light so bright, and so horrifying, that everyone playing Ark survival evolved on ps4 would have a popped blood vessel in the same eye. It was almost like a badge of honor for a true survivor. The Working Solution that was found There was a solution found by players on console where you could type in commands in single player utilizing admin commands, and once successfully done you would be able to log back into any server and the settings would be maintained. This came at the inconvenience of having to re-enter the commands every time you closed the application and returned for another play session. Lets just say this solution gets a 0/10 on aberration where blue screens are a common occurrence. How did we get where we are now? At some point it was confirmed that the ability to use those commands had been altered, thus the previous solution was made ineffective at solving the problem. Now we are currently trudging through extremely saturated glow effects, blinding light shafts, and other effects that I may not even know of due to my lack of expertise in how these game effects are taking place. Current Solution? As far as I am aware, there is no slider for these effects, and there is no working solution to the problem from the player's perspective. However, there are a few things worth mentioning here: Gamma Correction Many of you may have thought changing your gamma would suffice. Unfortunately all this does is reduce the brightness of the glow and lights. This is helpful at making the experience of Ark easier on your eyes and comes with it the benefits of reducing eye irritation. Unfortunately it also makes it even harder to see where you are going by reducing the amount of "light" entering your characters "eyes" , so to speak, as well as doing nothing to change the area in your vision being obstructed by glow or light shaft mechanics. .ini settings There is a way to add .ini settings into a server and disable or reduce the quality of these settings. However, through personal experience with this issue I have found it unreliable at best. Typically this requires server restarts while characters are on the server being restarted. Sometimes the changes will take effect and the game will be completely playable. Other times nothing changes. The times when the changes occur may not even be affected by changing the .ini settings and restarted but some other mystery altogether. This solution seems fine until you consider that only a server admin could implement such a thing. A player would not have such a solution to utilize without hosting their own server or having a server admin figure out how to introduce .ini settings. THE SUGGESTION? @StudioWildcardPlease either disable the bloom quality and light shafts across the entire ps4 platform or finally make the addition of a player control option to permanently change these features. This problem is a matter of both lower quality gaming experience as well as real world health implications. Obviously there are many other solutions to reach the desired outcome of being able to see in the direction of light objects without causing physical harm to our eyes or being unable to navigate within the game. As far as utilizing glow in pvp and pve balance, which is the only argument I can see as to why the feature shouldn't be disabled or controlled by individuals, as cool as using the sun at your back during a huge battle charge sounds, I think there should come a point when the realism within the game has gone too far. Bloom and light intensity has gone too far. Special Thanks! Thanks go out to all the people out there who helped spread information on this subject! All information gathered for this suggestion was found on various Forum searches and YouTube Videos on the subject, or otherwise through personal experience playing Ark Survival Evolved since December 2016. One Final Note While the major issue that destroys our gaming experience is the blinding lights from the glow effect and the light shafts, another major concern of mine and many others is just simple ability to alter graphic settings. These, as well as many others, are some of the major graphic settings that could easily reduce massive lag spikes, blue screens, and various other issues that plague survivors on the console Arks: -Ground clutter quality -Shadow Quality -Reflection Quality -texture quality -view distance quality -Effects Quality AND MANY MORE!
  16. Hello everybody! I have got a really bad problem with ARK Singleplayer. Recently, I have added the "AlwaysAllowStructurePickUp=True" to my GameUserSettings.ini in "D:\Games\ARK Survival Evolved\ShooterGame\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor". So, picking up structures worked at the beginning, but then when I changed a key-assignment for a whistle in the settings it stopped working completely. Then I deleted the GameUserSettings.ini because I thought something was buggy there. After starting ARK the file re-created itself and I applied my graphic settings and so on. Finally I added "AlwaysAllowStructurePickUp=True" to my GameUserSettings.ini, but still it is not working and now I want to ask you for your help. Keep in mind: most (if not all) settings are LIMITS for the generator to use, NOT exact measurements. work in small increments - sometimes a change of 0.01 on some settings will make a MAJOR change in the look of a map. some settings will effect the results of other settings... i recommend starting in solo mode with low settings, then adjust your map one setting at a time until you know how each setting effects your resulting map. This way if you see strange results you can go back and know which setting caused it. Settings covered below so far: 0. Seed WaterLevel & OceanFloorLevel DeepWaterBiomesDepth ShorelineStartOffset & ShorelineThickness MountainsHeight **UPDATE** & Mountains Frequency Mountains Slope Water Frequency JungleBiomeStart & MountainBiomeStart LandscapeRadius ErosionIterations MaxSawnPointHeight I will expand and update this for all the settings as i go. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 0. Seed: seed = base number for a random number generator to use (to put it very simply) With the ark PG maps a 'seed' is used in a random number generator, in combination with the other settings, to generate a 'random' or natural looking map. Without randomness you would always have the same straight or perfectly curved shores... all mountains would be the same shape and height... all trees would be the same exact spacing apart... so on and so fourth.. not very natural and pretty boring in my opinion. BUT Computers can not actually do true random numbers... only what looks like a random pattern of numbers. Using a starting 'seed' creates a random-looking sequence of numbers based on that number and it will ALWAYS be the same sequence of numbers with that specific 'seed'. This is why anyone using the same seed and settings will result in the same natural looking generated map. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1. WaterLevel & OceanFloorLevel: Example ** OceanFloorLevel=-1.00 & WaterLevel=-0.98 ** distance between settings = 0.02 ** deepest oceans roughly 2 foundation WIDTHS deep Example ** OceanFloorLevel=-1.00 & WaterLevel=-0.80 ** distance between settings = 0.20 ** deepest oceans roughly 20 foundation WIDTHS deep NOTE ** The deeper the ocean... the less space you have above the water for mountains and such. I recommend keeping OceanFloorLevel at -1.0 and working up from there. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2. DeepWaterBiomesDepth: Deep water biome objects (large rocks and weeds) are pretty tall (0.20 or so). In the above example, those objects stick up out of the water around the shores. (neat effect) Note ** If the biome setting in the above example was -0.01, the biome would start very close to the water surface. (weeds, rocks, oil, mosas, etc.. close to shore) Note ** If the biome setting in the above example was -0.20, the biome would start at the OceanFloorLevel, in turn there would be no biome, no oil, and so on... ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3. ShorelineStartOffset & ShorelineThickness: These settings determine your SHORE Biome EXAMPLE ** ShorelineStartOffset=0.04 and ShorelineThickness=0.001 will make beaches wide & flat EXAMPLE ** ShorelineStartOffset=0.04 and ShorelineThickness=0.04 will make 45 degree sloped shores EXAMPLE ** ShorelineStartOffset=0.001 and ShorelineThickness=0.04 will make high cliff shores Note ** ShorelineStartOffset is measured from water line, so larger offset = larger beach but smaller inland area Note ** If ShorelineThickness is very small you will hear water splashing on a lot of the beach. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 4. MountainsHeight & Mountains Frequency: **UPDATE** **UPDATE** MountainsHeight is the elevation limit to the highest mountain tops Range = WaterLevel to 1.0 Mountains Frequency is roughly the number of peaks or high spots spread across the map Note ** (TURBULENCE setting will vary and randomize Height and Frequency across the map - ill detail that setting later) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 5. Mountains Slope This effects the transition from land to mountain slope (also shape of mountain peaks) 0.0 = vertical mountain slopes, cliffs + flat tops 2.0 = smooth slopes, rolling hills NOTE ** The image above shows the exact same map, seed, and settings EXCEPT for the Mountain Slope as shown in the image ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 6. Water Frequency Roughly the number of dips or low spots spread across the map NOTE ** The image above shows the exact same map, seed, and settings EXCEPT for the water frequency as shown in the image ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 7. JungleBiomeStart & MountainBiomeStart: (in the example image i had turned jungle tree density down, also the peak in the distance was the only place high enough to extend into the mountain biome. Example ** if JungleBiomeStart in the above example were set to -0.50 (same as water level), all the grassland biome (on the right in image) would change to jungle Example ** if MountainBiomeStart in the above example were set to -0.50 (same as water level), metal nodes and mountain spawns would extend all the way down to the shore Note ** if MountainBiomeStart is set too high you will not find metal. MountainBiomeStart also effects start elevation of Metal nodes in redwood biome and Obsidian nodes in snow biome. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 8. LandscapeRadius: *** Both the maps above use the EXACT same settings except for LandscapeRadius *** NOTE ** With LandscapeRadius near and above 1.0 you may start seeing the edges of the land being cut by the map boundary. (see the image above) THIS SETTING DOES NOT INCREASE THE MAP SIZE... ONLY THE LAND MASS UP TO THE MAP BOUNDARY With LandscapeRadius above 1.0 you start to see an overlapping effect NOT an increase in land or map size. again, THIS SETTING DOES NOT INCREASE THE MAP SIZE... ONLY THE LAND MASS UP TO THE MAP BOUNDARY ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 9. ErosionIterations: Controls overall smoothness of all land 0 = no erosion, very smooth land, mountains, etc... 1,000,000 = a lot of erosion, VERY bumpy land, mountains, etc... ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 10. MaxSawnPointHeight: Maximum height of land for characters to spawn into zones. Range: WaterLevel to 1.0 Always make this greater than WaterLevel setting. Example ** if MaxSawnPointHeight=1.0, characters will spawn in at any elevation from water to top of mountains Example ** if MaxSawnPointHeight is only 0.01 greater than WaterLevel, characters will spawn close to shores, unless your maps land is extremely flat ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- MORE TO COME SOON...   18. I am scouring the Internet for the right .ini file or whatever it is I need. I keep finding outdated documents from two years ago, or videos in German. I pre-ordered a server for Xbox. I want to do more custom stuff, which involved changing up engrams and per-species dinosaur stats, as well as supply drops and bosses. I cannot find any of that information. The best I can get is like two lines of cost someone needed help with, and that is it. Would anyone know of a dropbox, website, or video to help me out here? Thank you.
  19. I am on Xbox and just bought a Nitrado server for my family and myself to use. I want to adjust the server settings so that I may breed and fully imprint velonasaurs. Could someone please help me do the math to calculate maturation and cuddle interval so that the velonasaurs fully matures in 15 minutes and can be 100% imprinted with in that time? If it isn't possible to get 100% imprint with in 15 minutes what is the quickest maturation to get 100%? Thank you to anyone who can help!
  20. I need help, I am renting a Nitrado server for my family and i to play together. The problem is I'm not very smart when it comes to math and I can't figure out the maturation and imprinting to get it so we can raise Dino's from hatching to full grown in under an hour (30 minutes would be better), while still getting full imprint for a Velonasaurus. Could anyone tell me what to set the two at?
  21. So my dad got me the full Ark and all dlc, never played it before and while it looks cool it's a bit daunting for me. I typically play story heavy solo RPGs of various types and the most exploratory type games I've played were things like Skyrim and Terraria and the only farm/raising critters games I've played were Viva Pinata and Slime Rancher mostly for the soothing adorable cuteness factor. I generally play on default/medium/average settings for these types of games, and rarely do I play any games with coop or online play enabled. My dad wants to play with me, which is fine, but I'd also like to have a game just for myself to explore and learn on my own because learning to play a new game with someone who's been playing for a long time is super anxiety inducing for me. Also, I don't want to totally sink all my time into this game... I'm in between jobs and without a vehicle out in the boonies at the moment so I have plenty of free time but I also play and run D&D games... And while my jobs are limited locally I might get a call for an interview at any time. Tl;Dr: noob, don't wanna let this game totally consume me, wanna learn how to play in solo, game kinda scares me a bit but looks cool enough to try, typically consider myself average skill level for games, any recommended settings?
