  1. Introducing Spectrovenator! Wild This tough little scavenger is an interesting case. While wild Spectrovenator are mostly docile animals that keep to themselves, when a corpse is nearby, they turn into something fierce. Despite their small stature, they can certainly punch up their weight class. I’ve seen quite a few of these land buzzards fight tooth and nail over any abandoned corpse in the general area. Unlike their larger cousin the Carnotaurus, these guys evolved lacking arms in favor of a spiky-chestplate that they’ll use to throw around anything that dares interrupt their rotting meals. Domesticated Spectros may be tricky to earn the trust of, but can certainly be done, even by newer survivors. Seeing that Spectros tend to lounge around carcasses, and are constantly fighting off any potential thieves, aiding a Spectro in defending its corpse is the key to this animal’s iron heart. Once you do gain the trust of a Spectro though, they prove to be some loyal things. So much in fact, they seem to understand commands from very long distances somehow, and are essentially the perfect scout. Being able to send a stocky but swift lookout to scope out or explore unknown areas without risking your own life is one powerful ability. Not to mention that even if capable of brawling, they can still recover from a tough situation via eating from any nearby carcasses. And I haven’t even mentioned the versatility these handy scouts have, considering I’ve seen tribes utilizing a plethora of harnesses that serve several purposes for varying situations! I’ve seen harness utilities ranging from storage, to armor, to even guns! That said, each saddle seems to have a slot where specimen implants can be placed. Survivor’s Best Friend Spectrovenator is an early-game scout that has a theme that is based around loyalty. Spectrovenator, unlike any existing tame in-game, can be controlled without your survivor actually having to ride it. Instead, you take the POV of the Spectrovenator, and begin playing from there, similar to the Tek Drone in a way. Your survivor will stay in the place where you leave them until you exit scout mode with your Spectro, then you’ll return to your survivor’s POV. This ability allows you to scope out, clear, or explore areas without having to risk your survivor or your must-need items. Extinction is a dangerous map! Being able to scope out the corrupted wastelands, harsh winter Proto-Ark, or the deadly desert Proto-Ark is something that early game players may find difficult, and these perfect scouts may offer a mighty fine solution for this, as well as other needs if need be. This is aided by Spectrovenator’s kit mostly being based around survivability, so don’t fret about your little buddy getting killed with ease too much. This creature is surprisingly tough for its size, stronger than raptor tier for sure. (~400 hp, ~30 damage) Spectro actually benefits through multiple ways as you level up too, so don’t think this guy will be useless once you reach a certain stage, unlike other early game tames. Attacks and Abilities Bite [LMB] - A simple attack where the Spectro bites forward, thrusting it’s sharp chin into its target as well Charge [Hold RMB] - Similar to the Trike’s charge attack, except it can be activated while moving. Hitting something with the charge does high damage, knockback, and a slowdown effect. Tail Spin [C] - The Spectro whips its body around in a 360, dealing knockback and light damage to anything hit. Jump [SPACE] Focus [X] - Focuses on a creature, structure, natural object, or storage container where your crosshair relies, telling you information such as stats, level, or what lies inside. Imagine a cross between a spyglass and magnifying glass. Sense (PASSIVE) - Can tell when creatures are low on health, like a Dire Wolf. Restore (PASSIVE) - Grants a healing effect after biting a corpse, like Argentavis. Drift (PASSIVE) - Similar to Andrewsarchus, Spectro drifts when making sharp turns while running to provide extra mobility and traversing large, tricky wastelands. Harness Up Spectro has several tiers of different “harnesses” that can be unlocked as you level up (These harnesses act similar to Hyaenodon Meat Packs, act as armor, placed in saddle slot, but cannot be ridden.) They’d go in order such as this: Low Level - Pack Harness: This harness is simple, acts as minor armor, heavily increases the weight of Spectrovenator, and gives it smithy properties as well. Mostly intended for transferring resources from one place to another, as well as allowing you to craft stuff on the go (even when in Scout Mode! Don’t ask how Spectro knows how to craft.) Moderate Level - Guard Harness: This harness is a bit more complex, it provides the best armor out of all harnesses, as well as it deals recoil damage to anything that attacks it with this equipped. On top of these, this harness prevents it from being picked up. Someone on their wyvern trying to take your guard dog sky high? No more. High Level - Battering Ram Harness: This harness provides decent armor, and grants the charge attack on Spectro the ability to stun creatures and other survivors, as well as damaging structures. The charge will damage every tier of building, up to Tek. Damage on buildings will vary depending on the grade of the harness. Highest Level - Battlement Harness: This harness provides minor armor, and an automatic machine gun. It does consume ammunition, but this harness provides a weight decrease on all ammunition. Soul Collector Every harness that you can unlock for the Spectrovenator has a slot that you can place any Specimen Implant inside. It can be your own, or someone else’s. Placing a Specimen Implant inside Spectrovenator increases its defense, stamina regeneration, and health regeneration. The effects of these depends on how high of a level/tier the implant placed in the harness is. Higher the tier, stronger the effect. This promotes the idea that a Spectrovenator you own grows stronger as you do, working alongside you. Taming Wild Spectrovenators love corpses, but don’t ACTUALLY eat them in game. They tend to lounge around them, wandering within a certain radius of the corpse. Enter that radius, and it’ll aggro onto you. Leave that radius for a short amount of time and it’ll return to the corpse. (Note that wild Spectrovenators without a claimed corpse are entirely neutral, only attacking if provoked first. You’ll need to bring it to a corpse or bring a corpse to it.) While a Spectro is guarding a corpse, you’ll need to get close to it via Sneaking, Ghillie Armor, or Bug Spray, and feed it a piece of Spoiled Meat. This will activate a sort of “mini-supply drop” event. During this, the Spectro no longer aggros on you, you cannot harm it, and you cannot harvest its claimed corpse anymore. Around the corpse, waves of low tier creatures will spawn (raptors, dilos, compies) around it, and will aggro onto the corpse. As you kill these enemy creatures, the taming progress goes up. For a low level, killing a Dilo and Raptor should be enough for you to earn the Spectro’s loyalty. For a higher level, you’ll need to put in some more elbow grease. The bigger the corpse, the more health it will have and the harder it will be for the enemy creatures to destroy. The more damage you do, the higher the taming effectiveness, so don’t force the Spectro to do all the work for you. In fact, if you fail to protect the corpse, the Spectro will then aggro onto you. Good luck. In Conclusion... Spectrovenator provides scouting like no other, with unlimited range, great survivability, and the ability to keep your survivor safe and sound at your leisure as this loyal scamp scopes for anything that may provide interest to you. Spawns in the Tek City of Extinction for ease and convenience, immersive taming for any level, and benefits for any player, no matter how far into the game you are!
  2. Laminacaris L. sonusrex "Thin bladed shrimp sound king" Cambrian Diet: Durophagous Temperament: docile Within the oceans and beaches are piles of empty trilobite and Sea scorpion shells and this is the culprit, a vicious predator to anything with a chitinous shell, these bottom dwelling creatures seem docile near humans as they'll even swim around survivors to snatch up a bottom feeder and break its shell open with their facial appendages. Not even the beach is safe as these creatures can scuttle onto land in pursuit of their prey where they run them down and break their shells with deadly efficiency. Though they can be tamed, some tribes do hunt them as their bodies build up large amounts of oil and pearls that they ingest from their meals and thus brings an instant bounty of rare resources to some less fortunate tribes. Taming: To those who have passed out from Sea Scorpion venom, worry no more. These things hunt the stinging buggers from a distance, clicking and snapping their appendages like a pistol shrimp would its claws, stunning or killing anything it sees as prey. If tamed, these are perfect mounts to bring to the bottom of the sea to gather resources be it from animals or the environment. They can even be trained as their strikes are able to break stone and with consistent use they can become a menace to anything with an exoskeleton and potentially more. Some tribes who have tamed these animals have even been seen harassing Dunkleosteus away from their fishing grounds so to better gather materials in relative safety. Human blood has an interesting effect on these animals as it binds the individual animal to a master so to tame them, one must have scarlet pearls, Silica mixed with blood to lure them in and pacify them. (edited) [8:53 PM] Details Mountable tame though carried similarly to the Bloodstalker. Though can't be mounted on land but can in water like Diplocaulus Has a weaker stunning sonic snap.... a projectile of sound like a pistol shrimp Has a closer mele attack like a mantis shrimp that kills Sea Scorpions and Trilobites Can go on land and in water. has a harness that holds oil to allow for an ink cloud for quick getaways. Harvests and has a carry weight reduction for Black pearls, Silica pearls, and Oil. Has an ability to get better and better at harvesting one item depending on the item constantly harvested. Kill a lot of Sea Scorpions? Then it is gonna be great at getting Chitin and both pearls hitting oil? It is now the Oil baron.
  3. A Pterosaur, no larger than a Dimorphodon is a great Idea for a scout, its small size makes it harder to detect and hit it can get into almost anywhere except water, it is desinged to hide in various areas and can even camouflage with its native surroundings to get anywhere unnoticed, it can not carry much, but is decently fast and maneuverable, you can use the radial wheel to play as it, it is still a flyer and can not enter boss arenas(Why would you bring this creature into a boss fight where it could get killed Except if it could be brought over to the broodmother It Might Be useful to prevent her regeneration, but the health Drain is too small to do anything else to her) Stats Base Level Wild Level Tamed Health 40 8 20% Stamina 50 25 50% Oxygen 150 15 10% Weight 25 5 20% Melee 4 0.4 10% Speed 100% N/A 1.5% Torpor 30% 5 N/A% Bite 4 damage, is fairly rapid instantly kills meganeura or titanomyrma, 200% damage bonus to other arthropods, immune to arhtropluera recoil, but not other recoils. Taming Strategy: You need to wear Chitin Armor and let the Pterosaur eat away at your armor, you will not take damage, but the armor will, you should repair or use highest possible durability for the first phase. the second phase involves dragging small insect bodies to the creature letting it eat them, once taming gets to max on the second phase it is now tamed. You also must be level 30 to tame one as well. Utility: It makes for a great scout or insect harassment creature, once it has eaten a large enough hole in its chitin it can start to burrow inside the insect If it has a drag weight of 80 or higher other than arthropleura do massive damage to the creature, even a rhyniognatha could easily fall to it and it ignores rhynio resin armor once embedded into its flesh, however to keep it balanced it only works by this table and the rules below Arthropod Level Difference (Nemi Must Be Higher) Lymantria 1 Araneo 5 Pulmonoscorpius 5 Mantis 20 Rhyniognatha 50 Player Can Also Hold To Remove Nemicolopterus similar to leeches, however if the insect, it would most likely be an araneo or lymantria (Which few people care for anyway) for this to happen, you would have time to save a mantis or rhyniognatha. once it killes the insect it gains an insect killer buff similar to megatherium and can not embed into a creature until it is at 50% or less food Which is not likely to happen. The insect must be at 40% health for this unfortunate fate, the owner of the creature can call of their nemi whenever they wish. any method of removing the nemicolopterus will deal 200 damage to the insect. This attack does not work on arthropleuras or any non insect It will conver the insect's health into the Nemicolopterus' food if the Nemi is at full food it will detsach dealing 200 damage not ignoring armor of any kind. For Scouting Purposes this creature is fast unless it has recently killed by its signature insect killing technique and it can camoflague and fly so long as it has food and stamina.
  4. Protostega is a genuis off prehistoric sea turtles. Wiki: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Protostega Name: Protostega: Group: Reptile Diet: Pesketariane: ( Cinidra Toxin, prme fishmeat) Temperament: Skittish. Dossier: Wild: Protostega is a quite large and extremly skittish but then again when your so far down the food chain I guess yor best chance is to flee not fight. Protostega spend most off there days feeding on cinidras and sea weed along the sea bed and they seem to only come on land during nesting season. it`s shell is pretty primitive and leathery and do not provide much protection but thats not that needed when you can outswim any predetor and when they first get hurt it seems like there diet off the cinida helps them quickly recover. Domesticated: As a domesticaded creature Protostega`s primary roles seem to be scouting and transporting good trhu the ocean and as a medic for other creatures. there high speed in water even when carring plenty of cargo makes them great for transporting goods over long distances quickly. And while it itself isn`t a fighter protostega helps out in battle bye emiting a chemical it produces to help it`s ally recover quickly. The chemicals protostega produces is has great properties that many tribes use in there cooking to give it a boost to there imunsystem and recovery. Abillites: 1 Bite: Left click preforms a simpel bite attack (not very strong) 2 Healing: Rightclick to preform a burst off healing ( hold down to increas range and power). When protostega kills cinadras it stores it`s toxin for later use. Using Protostega`s healing abillity uses up toxin, holding down right click gives better range and effect but consume more toxin. 3 Spin: Protostega spins around (vertical) and creates a shock wave that pushes enemies away while giving itself and it`s ally a speed boost. Saddle: The chemist`s saddle. Protostega`s saddle comes with a chemist bench and allows you to create the Proto-chemical, a chemical made from cinidra toxin that can be used in any dish to give it a healing boost. up to 3 survivers can ride on the saddle ( 1 driver +2 passengers) at the same time. the passengers can use tools/weapons while rideing. Taming: Wild Protostegas can`t be tamed. Along the beaces off the center you'll find varius mounds called protostega nests. Interacting with thees allowes you to start a minigame to grab yourself a turtle. A hatchling wil emerge from the sand and start slowly make it`s way to the ocean while wild iththyornis wild start gathering and swooping down trying to kill and eat the baby. to succseed the taming you need the fend off the birds until the hatcling reaches the ocean where it will rapidly mature and become tamed. the baby can be feed cinidra toxin to heal it but it won't get back the taming effectiveness. The further a mound is away from the ocean the higher level hatchling and longer it wil take for the hatcling to reach the ocean. Thank you for looking at my idea.
  5. Common name: Pelecanus Schreiberi Species name: P. Schreiberi Time: Early Pliocene Diet: Meat Temperament: Docile Wild I’ve never seen a pelican so large, but the Pelecanus Schreiberi was a species that we barely had any information on in my time. Even still like many creatures on the arks, this one seems to be bigger than any normal pelican size. This large bird spends its time flying overhead across the coast and oceans looking for food from high above before diving down at great speeds to snatch up prey from below. Domesticated Though not much of a fighter, other tribes have used the Pelecanus Schreiberi to go on hunting trips being able to bring back an assortment of small prey dead or alive to eat or tame. Some more daring hunters have used this great bird to dive deeper into the ocean in search of bigger and more dangerous things to hunt. A giant pelican, reaching sizes similar to the angentavis. Comes with a variety of potential abilities and features at its disposal. (more photos will be added as get them) Aquatic catcher Using its big bill, it can catch live or dead smaller animals into its mouth to hold onto for players to use for other purposes such as taming shadowmanes. Diver Like real pelicans, it will be able to dive underwater and (with a slow oxygen drain) swim around underwater to scout around and find prey to feast upon. Fish harvester Gains higher amounts of prime fish meat and fish meat from fish and other aquatic creatures. Bane of aquatic life Gains higher attack stats while fighting creatures that live within water. Potential tek saddle Similar to the tek helmet worn by players, the can gain the pelecanus schreiberi gains the ability to permanently breath underwater (at the cost of using element). The Tek suit may come with built in flashlights to help see in dark water. In addition It could also possibly have thrusters attached to the saddle to give the pelican a boost while flying or swimming underwater (while burning element) to cover more ground or escape enemies. Other potential abilities Option A: Spitter With things In its mouth, it can spit them back out and fire them at opponents to deal damage at the long range. It can shoot live creatures and also various materials such as stone, metal, silica pearls and black pearls (deals more damage than the silica pearls) and maybe even loaded cryopods to deploy creatures from afar. Option B: baby carrier Using its beak and bill, it can possibly carry babies from point A to point B safety inside its bill (minus bigger babies like Rexs would it would have to carry on the outside). Option C stun dive When high up in the air you can dive down into the water, dealing stun to anything in the area around it (much like what real pelicans do) Other info Taming method: A standard knockout tame, prefers superior kibble, then prime fish meat. (Only eats fish meat/prime fish meat when tamed) Saddle level 50-65 range Tek saddle unlocked by beating one of the center bosses or reaching a higher level like the 90-100 range? Spawns along the coast and across the oceans, hunts fish in the water peacefully unless attacked first then will either engage its foe or fly away If knocked out over or under water it will float on the surface of the water. Not much is known about this animal irl. We only have incomplete fossils of it that show us this pelican seems to have gone extinct with no future dependents. It was also similar in size to the great white pelican (though obviously for this game we have scaled this creature up to be more useful). Overall I believe this creature would be a fun idea and would provide a new way of assisting in taming of certain creatures and traversing the map in ways not seen often in the game. I’d be happy just seeing this creature make the top tens, thank you for the support! (I’m also open to suggestions and criticism to make the best creatures it can possibly be) https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pelecanus_schreiberi Thanks wiki for the info on this creature.
  6. Wild: Proailurus is usually found in the upper reaches of the caves of the aberration ark, these solitary cats can often be seen hunting prey or lounging around in trees no matter the size, they are usually skittish around humans unless they are presented with food, then Proailurus will be likely to come closer and repeating this process it will eventually allow you to pick it up and it’s pretty much tame from there the only thing needed is training, what I’ve observed is that wild and wild tamed Proailurus will try and avoid any that resembles a canine for example bulbdogs and ravagers this fear may extend to other species such as the dire wolf and hyaenodon. Tamed: when tamed Proailurus had multiple uses one being a way to combat small flying species, they are Able to attack off your shoulder allowing them to fight off seeker to and extent because they can be overwhelmed, this may even extend to being able to grab and kill smaller flying species such as mircoraptor or dimorphodon. However this is not there only use as they can be given two types of collar, the first a invisible fence collar allows the tamer to set the animal on patrol routes to kill, deter, and prevent any small species from entering the base and wrecking havoc on tames, although they can be very dedicated to their job and head strong in nature to do prevent them accessing any nurseries because unless it’s a baby Proailurus a patrolling Proailurus will mostly likely kill it, aswell if allowed to roam and patrol a much larger area than just a base Proailurus has a random chance of bringing back goodies and gifts ranging from blue prints and resources to armor pieces and tools and possibly even ammunition. The third use of this feline is with the second collar a cam collar which allows the owner to watch a live feed from the camera and give commands to the Proailurus which allows them to direct the animal to scout, to remotely hunt with it, to ambush creatures and even other players, and even to map out caves or bases although the Proailurus can be slow or not responsive if not trained or over worked aswell it will avoid canines if it was once wild, and if the controller is attacked the control lost the Proailurus will try and high tail it to make it back to you but will break cover, all around Proailurus are great creatures to tame.
  7. One of the largest arks, and one with the largest stretches of land, there are many things to see on Ragnarok, and many dangers scattered around the various biomes. One creature however, has adapted to live comfortably in any of the many environments on Rag, and has worked its way up the food chain not through brawn, but through intelligence. Introducing Caudipteryx! One of the most intelligent, diverse, and surprisingly ruthless creatures on Rag! Caudipteryx are medium sized creatures, about the same size as a carno. When wild, they can be found walking, running, flying, or even swimming around, often hunting smaller creatures- or avoiding larger ones. Though they usually see a survivor as food, the intelligence of this creature isn't to be underestimated. If they sense danger or take too much damage, they'll simply run away. Likewise if they observe survivors cooperating with other creatures, it can peak their interest... Just don't get too close to one, or you'll be faced with their razor-sharp beaks and the weaponized feathers on their necks. Taming method- Caudipteryx will become nuetral and avoid, but watch the player if they have a shoulder pet. If they observe the player feeding their shoulder pet, they may come close and accept food, though each Caudipteryx prefers a different food, ranging from sarco skin, allo brain, yuty lung, basilo blubber, and tuso tentacles. After feeding a Caudipteryx enough, they will enter a passive state and allow the player to mount them, causing the player to have time exact key presses to avoid being thrown off. Survive the ride and you'll earn the trust of the Caudipteryx to be your own. Abilities Bite- Their sharp beaks can harvest wood, berries, meat, and have an affinity for gathering special drops. Defeating a creature such as a sarco with the bite attack has a chance to double the tribute items you receive. Double Jump- Caudipteryx are able to do a sort of double jump by flapping their wings, and attacking while airborne causes them to slash at the ground, dealing extra damage while avoiding the attacks of other creatures. Flight- By holding spacebar, Caudipteryx can fly and glide, though these actions use a lot of stamina. Swimming- Caudipteryx are excellent swimmers, and have adapted to be able to breathe underwater, still able to bite and use their feather projectiles underwater. They can even harvest pearls! Feather Throw- Caudipteryx can aim and fire off the feathers from their necks, which are surprisingly durable and sharp! Being struck with a feathery slows and bleeds those hit. Defense Mode- Caudipteryx are intelligent enough to be excellent defense creatures, you can mark an allied tame or player, yourself, or your own structures in defense mode, and even help your Caudipteryx record a path if you want to. By default, Caudipteryx will remain still around their marked target, but if they sense any hostility toward the target, they'll enter a turret mode and fire off feathers at the hostile, they can even shoot down explosives! If they or their target take damage in this state, Caudipteryx will actively attempt to avoid incoming attacks and keep firing their feathers, making them incredibly deadly on defense. If an enemy player or tame gets too close, they'll resort to using their bite and claw attacks, and do everything they can to defend the marked target. If a path is marked, they'll even patrol the path and perform the same actions. Caudipteryx that get separated from their marked target will even automatically make their way back to it. Scout Mode- When commanded into scout mode, Caudipteryx can lock onto any creature, player, or structure and identify levels, health, torpidity, food, and armor levels of their target! When placed on scout mode without a rider, Caudipteryx will enter a form of turret mode and remain still, identifying nearby hostiles by locking onto them and revealing them to allies until the enemy gets too far away. They can't detect multiple creatures like a parasaur, but the target they lock onto will be permanently visible to their allies until unmarked! Crouch- While on the ground, Caudipteryx can crouch very low to the ground and use their flexible limbs to sort of "slither" forward. They can fit through crouch spaces! Passive Defense- If a creature tries to dismount their rider, be it a flyer, purlovia, or even a thyla, Caudipteryx will instead launch an automatic counter attack and stun the offending creature. And the last ability of Caudipteryx, is their rest ability! Caudipteryx feathers, just not the ones on their necks, are very soothing and soft. If a Caudipteryx cuddles up to an allied player or dino and uses their rest ability, all the allies in range will start to get a slight healing buff, and players will be completely insulated from the elements while nearby! If Caudipteryx has extra food, it will even feed starving allies by 10 food points to prevent them from starving to death. And that's it for Caudipteryx, all terrain and with many uses, I hope you like them! The image is an ai generated representation of what I think they should look like.
  8. Hello Ark survivors! This is the first time that I participate in a contest related to the creation of a video game character, and what better way to do it than with my favorite game: Ark Survival Evolved. Hope you like!! Description: The Lycaenops is a small-medium sized predator whose physiognomy and instinct make it an extremely successful option to explore in a versatile, complete and fast way. It is also a killing machine thanks to its jaw similar to that of a wolf and teeth that pierce even the deepest and most resistant layer of skin. They wound in such a lethal way that the prey deteriorates very quickly and due to its size, it has the ability to more effectively dodge attacks than a larger creature. SKILLS: The Lycaenops has two modes that can be toggled, explorer mode and predatory instinct. Explorer mode (DAY): This mode will take you by default when you mount it. -With the left click it will make a bite that will inflict damage. -With the right click it will make a scratch that will serve mostly to harvest the corpse of the victims in a much more effective way, although it will also do damage. -With the space bar you can jump in a run like many dinosaurs, although you can also charge a jump that will allow you to pounce between stones or not very large trees with great speed that will make the Lycaenops a very good option to explore, in addition to not will take fall damage while in scout mode. It should be noted that, even if the Lycaenops is in explorer mode, it can activate the predatory instinct, but if it is daytime when that happens, it will begin to make it sleepy quickly and it will gain unconsciousness until it falls asleep unless it is previously deactivated. If you fall asleep for this reason, you will wake up much faster than usual and unconsciousness will take you down at a great pace. Predatory Instinct (NIGHT): This mode can be toggled (deactivated or activated) between "Explorer Mode" with the "C" key, although it will automatically activate when it becomes night and deactivate when it becomes day. When activating this mode, the aura of the creatures will be seen passively, neutral creatures will be gray and aggressive ones will be red. Additionally, he will gain 20% movement speed. -Left-clicking will inflict a much deadlier bite than its daytime version, which will apply a percentage life drain effect to the victim's health as damage, and a percentage of that life drain will be reflected as health regeneration for the Lycaenops. -With the right click you can mark a creature as prey. By marking it as a target and after the combat has started, the rival will begin to lose energy as the fight goes by, and if the creature runs out of energy it will receive 10% more damage, also if the combat lasts more than 10 seconds, the Lycaenops will gain 1.5% damage reduction per second up to a maximum of 30%. -With the space bar you will make a normal jump, but if you have a marked target when jumping towards the prey, the jump will be much more ferocious and will have more range. The Lycaenops is the quintessential medium-sized predator due to its high damage and hunting qualities against its victims, but it lacks a large amount of health. Domestication: The Lycaenops works in herds, generally between 2 and 4 specimens, due to this and other factors the domestication of one of these predators is complicated: The only way to obtain a Lycaenops is by stealing a young from the female (in case that there is one in the herd) since it is not possible to domesticate a specimen in the traditional way. To achieve this we must establish a herd and verify that among them is a young Lycaenops walking. If so, the best thing to do is to get rid of the herd by killing it or make them face other creatures to divert their attention from the young. If there is a female in the herd, but there is no calf walking next to her, it is possible that it has not yet been born or that the female is pregnant and about to give birth, if it is the latter case, it is best to wait patiently for the female gives birth to the calf and then proceed with the aforementioned explanation. In any domestication scenario, the best way to get a calf is during the day because at those times the herd is resting, since the whole group is lurking at night and it can become a very complicated task to steal the calf.
  9. This dinosaur is one of the most bird looking of them all and ARK needs more feather companions. Abilities I feel this bird should be like a parasaur but it rides on your Shoulder. So it should have the Threat detection ability. Taming Like most birds I feel confuciusornis sanctus should like Shiny things. Like metals, black pearls, crystal, etc So you will give it the things above and you will Keep doing this in till it gives you its egg but not all will sometimes they will give you resources or broken Equipment. thank you for reading sorry for not having a dossier.
  10. Common Name: Xiaotingia Species: Xiaotingia Quaerere Time: Jurassic Diet: Carnivore/Insectivore Temperament: Neutral/Curious Taming: Xiaotingias are passive tames. First you need to get their attention. When he approaches you out of curiosity, feed it. You can feed it meat, but it preferes chitin. Simple Kibble ist barely better. After around 40 seconds, the Xiaotingia is hungry again and comes back to you. Abilities: Once it is tamed, you can send it out scouting for specific dinos. You can decide which species it should be and which level it has to be at least. The longer you let the Xiaotingia scout, the further it flies and the more likely it is going to find something. When on your shoulder, it will alert you, if there is a max level creature around you. If there's a heatwave or a sandstorm, it will spread it's wings above your head to protect you from the heat or to give yo a better view in the sandstorm. Temperament: Sometimes, the Xiaotingia will approach you and look at you for a while, same with other non-hostile creatures. If it gets attacked, it will attack back, sometimes dodging the attackers hits. Once it gets down to half health, it will run away, searching for safety in the trees or jumping of a cliff and gliding away. But it is aggressive to insects and has a damage increase on them. Habitat: The Xiaotingia is most common on the sides of mountains, where they can hide in trees and inbetween rocks. If there's a weather event, they will hide in trees and wait until it's over. Side note: Quaerere is latin and means 'search'.
