  2. return the option to speed up the Flying Dinos because the argentavis and the pteranodon are two useless I do not know why they removed that
  3. Managarmr Improved Managarmr's ice breath accuracy When lag is not present (so not on 2x) Buffed Managarmr stamina regen slightly Actually working fine. Managarmr babies can now be trained to behave better This should't actually be a feature. IT is annoying and it doesnt add anything possitive to the game. Managarmr babies will no longer lose patience 100% of the time when following Also bad mechanic. Annoying and irrelevant. Velonasaur Velonasaur will no longer hit the area underneath large dinosaurs The velo is small...so this is a weird decision. I guess they want this dino to not be useful against larger dinos. Velonasaur head whip should no longer harvest bodies Fix issue with spines not always appearing on non authoritative clients Velonasaur head whip no longer shoots through walls Good, but do they know that Corrupted wyverns can also shoot fire through structures? Fix Velonasaur spines shooting through shields Velonasaur now grounds flyers a little faster Interesting. Very similar to a Reaper king. Corrupt Dinos Corrupted Wyverns will despawn if they get too far from a completed Element Vein or Orbital Supply Drop GOOD. Fade out corrupt dinos when teleporting Corrupt Dinos will de-prioritize flier targets, or targets based on fliers Well, this means no more luring corrypted wyverns on pve. GOOD. Corrupt Dinos deal more damage to Tek Shields Why do corrupted dinos deal damage to tek? I mean, they should deal damage till metal...tek be the new metal as in other maps. Feels like a logical progression. Titans Titans despawn timer checks only regard players within the arena I have one question, why do titans have a spawning timer? I mean first you have to wait 24 hours when someone has it...then add 5 more hours before summuning it back. Makes no sense. Potential fix for increasing timer after long cooldown scenarios Remove cooldown in singleplayer Increase starvation time for Titans (~30m to ~ just over an hour) would be good if titans were at least 2 days. I have tamed titans many times and for some odd reason after hours of walking with that thing i dont have the luck of finding drops. but after it dissapears then all of the dam drops fall. Am i the only one suffering from this? lol Consuming Kibble will not increase food for Titans Desert Titan Prevent flocks from being able to hit through buildings/terrain Prevent encumbered players from moving on Desert Titan Flocks will now dismount riders (during the boss fight) Forest Titan Fix for Forest Titan hitting things thru ground terrain NOTE: heavy drop on FPS when using the special abilities of this TITAN Forest Titan arena wyverns take damage from forest titans Clean up trees after Forest Titan is despawned Crashes Fix for crash caused by garbage collected replicated properties Fix server crash when running DumpDinoStats cheat as a spectator Fixed server crash related to Forest Titan and damage numbers Fixed crash related to killing an Argent in Primitive Plus Mek Fix for Mek occasionally consuming 1x element when not refueling Mek doesn't server any other purpose than killing titans. Does it make a difference...hmmm a little. Gasbags Gasbags is now much better at actually hitting things with their melee attacks WHY DO GASBAGS TAKE FALL DAMAGE? Also, their attack is lame lol might as well not attack. But Make it so that it doesnt take fall damage. Allow the rider to fish from Gasbags Element Vein Fixed replication issue with secondary element vein colors Orbital Supply Drops Crate shields take damage from Projectiles/other damage sources again Delivery Crate Engrams no longer count towards delivery crate weight Maps Non-crater forest Redwoods will no longer take damage and fall Gacha Gachas are the emotional person we are always trying to avoid. Fix for Gacha sadness not resetting in SP Fix for dummy items getting left in Gacha inventory Robots Set Gnashed attack to not affect robots (allo bleed attack) Extinction Disable flyers in Forest Titan artifact cave By this point, why? I mean, we can enter with a giga...you understand that? lol
  4. Been a few weeks now of this new DLC and let me tell you it is a great map...but that is about it. I want to put this into perspective.... here are all the patches and perhaps some side notes for each. In other words my thought. Current ARK Official Server Network Servers Version: v286.104 Patches, when they occur, are conducted Tuesdays at 10 am PST unless otherwise stated. Current Version: 286.104 - Disabled element veins due to base destruction issues, will be re-enabled at a later time Main feature off due to failure to test before launch. 286.103 Aberration - Enabled transfer of all Extinction Expansion Pack dinos to Aberration (except Snow Owl) This makes no sense... why not the owl? one good reason! there is none. very similar to the decision of why aren't thylas allowed in bosses. Gacha - Fix for Gacha's sad effects not playing properly clearly the game wasn't tested enough. this is a basic feature of only 5 or 4 new dinos on this map. - Fixed bug where taming didn't decay over time - Fixed bug where taming didn't reset when a different player/tribe started taming - Fixed bug where taming was always at 100% effectiveness is there even one good reason they didn't dotame a dino on testing? Seriously! - Set Gacha to have a lower chance of dropping an item when wild This is extinction...you would expect better drops than on other maps...but you would be wrong. Also, yellow drops are not any better than blue. is completely random. - Adjusted Gacha loot to skew towards lower quality rolls being more common Understandable... - Increased Gacha affinity gained per level to match other dinos of similar size - Reduced the max quality of generated items to a more appropriate amount - Adjusted how much food Snow Owl pellets give - Fixed issue with disappearing saddle Gasbags - Made Gasbags like their favorite taming food again I am guessing they didn't tamed all dinos with kibble on testing stages...this is inexcusable. Cryopod - Fix for XP exploit I can understand this. - Disabled ability to cryo rafts and motorrafts They literally said on their live stream this was already fixed....apparently not lol - Disabled ability to cryo Cryosick dinos - Cryo sick dinos take 10x damage If the dino is already unconscious why should they add 10x more damage? this is DUMB Orbital Supply Drop Element Vains currently off... MAIN FEATURE of 4 new FEATURES OFF...explain that to me... FIXED - Enabled Element Veins - Fixed issue with certain OSD mode networks - Fixed issue where crate could respawn in the same location after crate landed Velonasaur - Fixed issue with spines floating after a dino mesh is harvested too quickly. - Fixed stamina issues with Velonasaur getting in a state where it was stuck charging stamina without doing an ability. Velonosaur wastes stamina a lot...and still to this day (11/16/2018) some of them are stuck loosing stamina. (not completely fixed). - Fix for Velonasaur being able to ground boss flyers Dino Leash - Added smaller radius for breeding Mek MEks ARE off at the moment. Another main feature off...(kinna fixed) - Fix for Mega Mek regaining health - Set Mek pistol to be unable to damage metal or tek - Increased damaged to Mek when in siege mode - Disabled shield retracting when Mek is still flying upward - Fixed issue with Mek shields preventing the buffs/debuffs from applying - Prevented shield from deploying within range of enemy turrets - Mek siege cannon and missile pod projectiles move slower and can now be properly targetable by turrets - Adjusted Mek charge-up for siege to be quicker - Adjusted Mek drag weight to match their size - Auto-colorize Mek backpacks with the Mek's colors Snow Owl Snow owls can freeze on pve Other players to ruin tames or troll... - Fix bug that caused players to go into a weird state after being affected by its ice bomb - Snow Owl encapsulate healing amount is now based on the Owl's base health instead of the healed dino's base health - Set Owls to not 'poop' so frequently so they are a more rare resource Managarmr Managarmr glitch float, glitch on behemoth gates, and glitch on rocks... - Now requires half second pass before allowing another forward dash after jumping. - Adjusted ice breath to not be usable directly behind you on the ground. - Fixed Managarmr laying carno eggs - Fixed issue with damage calculation - Fixed issue with FOV calculating incorrectly when user has a non-default FOV setting. Enforcer - Hid blank buff that appeared when blinking with an Enforcer - Enabled Scouts and Enforcers to be crafted in the city terminals Scout AM i the only one who thinks this scout shouldn't waste element dust? also, the range is lame even for an ASc... - Scouts no longer drop eggs - Enabled Scouts and Enforcers to be crafted in the city terminals Titans Titans are glitch. boss music stuck for ever as titan tamed Roams around in the map. Forest titan corrupted zones to shoot are glitchy...very hard to hit. I mean, it looks like you are hitting it but no...you do more damage to tame. Also, areas where titans spawn shouldnt be buildable...or there should be a clear warning to not build there.... - Desert Titan node health fix - Titan beta/gamma health fix - Improved Desert Titan basing - Transmitter UI no longer shows Titan is downloadable during two hour download limit Translation - Chinese strings added Difficulty This is a LIEEEEEEEEE (Seen better spawns since updated yesterday) most dinos spawns are level 5, 10, 15...it is rare to see a 150...or Tek 180. - Set max Override Difficulty to 5 Extinction Map - Disabled meteor event for now due to meteors causing damage in unintended areas Another main feature off....this is terrible! (seems like the animation was left) no ingame effect anymore. - Fixed ice cave water spawner overspawning, added cave water spawner with hostile dinos - Updated spawn volumes to fix Beaverpocalypse - Updated Wasteland cavern water spawner volumes - Fixed sound radius for street lights, no longer can be heard by everyone in the area - Fixed various map holes - Converted all of the water ppvol DoF to use Gaussian settings matching those on the Island - Map streaming fixes - Water plane fixes - Fixed some floating resources - Fixed teleporting between domes breaking their effects - Dome streaming fixes - Updated drag weight values for dinos that did not have it set so they're not all pick-u This is a bit of a shame...the map design is very well done...but everything else...just leaves you in awe of how bad is working. Out of about 5 main new features...3 are OFF... I can understand how server population is falling every day on official servers... is annoying, makes the game not enjoyable, and worst of all...just proves that Wildcard keeps being wildCard. I hope for the sake of this great game...because one thing is true that this game is so great that even with the terrible job they do the game is still successful just because the core idea is amazing... it is starting to catch up with WildCard that bad DLC delivery is starting to hurt them. population was 70/70 on most official extinction...now is down to about 40/70.   5. We have all heard the news that this Extinction DLC might be the last expansion to Ark. It sounds like they might be thinking bout putting their focus on perhaps Ark2 or maybe that Pirate game that got "leaked". Sounds very similar to #DEADPOOL leaked movie...right? lol But I think most companies make the basic mistake of trying to make series (expecting more money on the next installment )when they can just expand the current game to allow the player to have a major game experience in a world that never ends. Game companies are starting to see that! That is why now games such as Ark (sandboxes) are so attractive to play now. Imagine WildCard adding DLC to ARK where you can transfer you character and is a total different game play server. Maybe you like a world where you like to have missions and NPCs walking around like SKYRIM. Or maybe imagine a world where you can posses a Dino..."Primal" (waiting lol)...WE ARE STILL WAITING I think Ark 2 might be a 2 step back than a step forward when you think about it. There are pressures of having now a perfect server security (hacks/abuses) and stability (offline issues and crashes), there are expectations in a perfect story line or "told story through actual game play (where they massively failed in Ark), so Ark2 might be the worst option when you think deeply about it. However, expanding Ark with DLCs with different game mechanics or simply story-lines might actually benefit them as they will always be without that heavy expectation of having the perfect game which they will definitely not deliver in Ark2 in the eyes of current players. It is worth noting that Ark is not the perfect game but it is definitely the perfect idea for a game and that is what keeps it alive. All is forgiven as long as they are always improving the base content with DLCs or Patches. Something that might not be forgiven in Ark2 if its not at least 2x better than Ark. Ark developers should think is what is Ark and where is it going? With that "leaked" footage it looks like they might be thinking on a Skyrim kinna game. NPCs, story, and game tasks where you have a more traditional RPG. That might be a great addition on this current game rather than selling it as a new game. Atlas can be that server where you could transfer your current character and for once maybe interact with NPCs that tell a story. Imagine how great that might be?! finally a story told in the actual game play if that were to happen! Also the Multiplayer aspect is totally ignored in Ark at the moment. We have the tribe mechanics but there is not really an essential part in which each player takes part of. There is nothing on the breeding in which a player maybe has perks to breed better dinos than other. There is not a necessity to play a different role! which is a shame because in most MMOs that is a big part that Ark hasn't been able to get right! Definitely the things i am expecting on the NEXT DLC EXTINCTION: 1. Pokeballs (or what ever they will call it): i expect that to solve the CAP issues. How? Maybe while dino is in pokeball dinos can be counted as structures (similar to Bhive mechanic). 2. Vehicles: Ark dinos are great but as this tek tear keeps growing it can be a good idea either to add now vehicles that run on element that are better faster and perform tasks better than dinos or have these new "Tek Dinos" have perks. 3. BIGGER MAP: Map size is always a problem...but i think when i refer to bigger map is not only in its physical size but in the DINO CAP LIMIT and PLAYER LIMIT. Ragnarok suffers from being a map that is way to big and its treated like the Island. where dino cap is the same and halve the map is not use because only 70 players can play at the same map. So if the map is bigger perhaps more players should be allowed to play at the same time. 4. Crash protection on bosses: sometimes it has happen where you are in the middle of a boss fight and...your pc of X reason crashes or has that "FATAL ERROR" and you lose everything...specially when you are playing solo. So...yah...there should be some time of protection for that. 5. TEK dinos should have a different mechanic! IT is absurd that they DON'T at the moment...cause why should you tame a TEK DINO that does the same as a regular version? I know the rumor is that those dinos will be the only transferable dinos but I don't know if i am 100% sold on that theory. Cause WC. I think we the people of ark (the players) have high expectations on this last DLC if its indeed the last one for Ark Survival Evolved. We are definitely expecting new game mechanics, new character options, new tools, new costumes, and a new map that tells the Ark story a lot better than just random notes around the dam map. But i think Aberration has teach us a lesson... bigger is not better. I think Aberration biggest problem was the lack of "adventure" the map offered. Other than getting pregnant from the Queen Reapers and dropping on the Drake pit there was not a sense of danger anywhere in the map. I dont know if its fair to say but one of Ark biggest problems is thinking of maps as just land...rather than making the map tell a story and control the player's tension with unknown dangers which could come from either dinos that spawn in special parts of the maps or a precise location where maybe it becomes poisonous and you have a timer which if it runs out you lose your dino and you gear... I think there is a lot to be done before WC can move to Ark2 if this is indeed the last DLC for Ark Survival Evolved. This is still a undeveloped idea and as far as i can tell its not even a polished idea. I think WC should definitely hire better writers as the ones that currently worked on Aberration FAILED. Same mistakes were made with Aberration story wise as all the other maps...which is a shame. So much could of been improved if someone told them NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT THAT AGAINNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN More content doesn't always mean more ITEMS/DINOS...more content means also a better told story, a new player mechanics, dino perks, player perks for performing a special role in the tribe, and new dino mechanics. We all have to agree how useless roars are in Ark...other than the Yuti's roar lol IT IS TIME TO CHANGE ARK...IT IS TIME TO.... MAKE ARK GREAT AGAIN #MAGA lol

So after this last updates ark makes changes that they dont mentioned to anyone...like putting multiple alpha megalodons level 200+ up to 280 and alpha mosas in water caves all in the same area of the artifact. Not to mention adding like 2x the amount of sharks, mantas, and pretty much every dino inside the brute cave on the island...it is unfair to not mention this changes in game...specially in official where it takes 2 weeks to grow a freaking whale or a dam squid. I am angry...a bit. yes...it is obvious. I did lose my squid and a whale. I thought ok...if the squid sux because after an update he cannot attack after stamina goes to 0...which they never mention in any update...a whale doesnt get stuck with anything and i mean, it was 30k 500 melee...decent stats...i should be ok. BUT NO! First...kill alpha mosa inside the cave...then on Artifact of the brute location 2 freaking 200+ alpha SHARKS...i was like..ok this should be ok...NOOOOOOOOOO...it was not ok. I got close... and FREAKING LEVEL 280+... so i ran with my whale...SHARKS follow me outside the cave...where i literally had to bring my wyven to kill it cause it ate me on the shore. Took me like 5 minutes with an electric wyvern with 600 melee...not to mention i hit is like for 5 minutes with my whale (basi) and it never got bloody So..DEAR ARK...please mention this changes...dont be like that! This was in an official server... here is some proof. THis is what makes me hate Ark sometimes...when things are not said...very much when they desided that it would be funner to make Alpha broodmother only killable with megatheriums... Makes me wonder about the DLC...is it going to be properly balanced from the beggining or are they just going to play with the settings for a month till they get them right... This is not a Beta or Alpha anymore...remember that Ark developers. We payed money!
