  1. Hello hello, thank you for checking out my submission! Given the results of the previous few votes, myself and a few others have decided to submit pterosaurs for this vote. The last pterosaur we got was the Sinomacrops, but it wasnt exactly rideable, sooo ZCI5250 presents: Darwinopterus acuticornus: the Corruption's Chaotic Vessel! ^ Darwinopterus main feature ^ A Darwinopterus defending its perch from another ^average day in the wastelands (go vote for katanaa's hatzeg!) ^ art by Drawolfknight!! Go check out their thylacosmilus sub as well Dossier: *dossier flashes between corrupted and uncorrupted ver (Read caption below) Size comparison: To quickly address the concerns of Darwin being way too big, my concept has the darwinopterus around the same size as a pteranodon, albeit slightly longer. This size was also chosen as it was the bare minimum for a player to not look silly riding on the back of it. With that out of the way, enjoy the rest of the sub!! Main gimmicks: Corruption, affliction and addiction: Darwinopterus's main ability is corrupting its own crest to use as a weapon. Basically, I meant for it to have adapted to be immune to corruption in its whole body except for its crest. Darwinopterus hunts corrupted creatures instinctually to eat their flesh and corrupt itself. In a sense, it's kinda "addicted" to corruption. On maps outside of extinction or where players dont have access to corrupted nodules, they can also feed their Darwinopterus element shards as a substitute for the nodules Darwinopterus will take a varying amount of corrupted nodules OR element shards to get to max corruption based on its addiction level. Think Ferox, but with an additional bar for corruption level. Darwinopterus has 5 different visual and mechanical stages of corruption, and it gains 3 base damage to its attacks per stage. A Darwinopterus switches its moves as long as it has any corruption at all. When a Darwinopterus attacks something with its corrupted crest, it has a chance to inflict a 15 second "Element infection" debuff that makes the target more vulnerable to dmg from all element-related sources, including corrupted creatures. Stats, finisher and crest conditions: When uncorrupted, Darwinopterus is about as strong as a pteranodon with slightly more HP and attack. The corruption is where the Darwinopterus's true potential lies though. When corrupted, Darwinopterus slashes at things with its crest instead of biting. It also does slightly more damage when gliding, kinda like a griffin. After using up all of its corruption, if the Darwinopterus is not constantly fed corrupted nodules, its crest will break, and it wont be able to corrupt itself for about 10 seconds while it “recovers”. When a creature is below 10% of their max HP, the Darwinopterus can do a finishing move on them which is activated by gliding and colliding with the creature. This will cause the Darwinopterus to phase through the creature, as it has "sliced it clean in half", and kill it instantly. This move, however, does not work on bosses. The Darwinopterus also has a separate finishing move that hits up to 5 times and has an extremely high dmg output, but breaks the crest completely Usage and applications outside of Extinction: Darwinopterus would be a good supporting and attacking creature, especially in the wastelands of Extinction given the plentiful corruption. It would have excellent synergy with meks and enforcers, both the astrocetus and astrodelphis, and anything else that attacks with element. Darwinopterus would be especially useful in the King Titan bossfight, as inflicting the titan with elemental infection allows the mega mek to deal additional damage to it. Outside of Extinction, Darwinopterus would also be a good late game tame, as tribes with sufficient element shards can use their Darwinopterus to their full potentials. Darwinopterus would also be good for PvP scenarios, as it can be used to fly by soakers and inflict them with element infection, so they can be killed more easily. Its finisher can also be used to kill tames that are super low on HP in one shot before the opposing tribe can cryo them or heal them up to above 10% Base Stats: HP: 250 Stamina: 200 Oxygen: 150 Food: 1200 Weight: 150 Torpor: 150 Moveset: (quick note: Darwinopterus CAN in fact fly, it is listed under spacebar with takeoff/landing. There seems to be people who may have missed this, so i felt the need to point it out) Uncorrupted: - Primary attack (,,) : Bite, base 20 dmg - Secondary attack (,,) : Mouth grab, base 1 dmg - C//(Landed only): Wing flap, does knockback, base 5 dmg - Spacebar// : Take off/Land - Can glide Corrupted (Moveset switches upon corruption, easiest indicator is the patterns turning purple): - Primary attack (,,) : Crest slash, base 25 dmg, gains damage per corruption stage for up to 40 dmg when fully corrupted. (Uses 1% of corruption per hit) - Secondary attack (,,) : Mouth grab, base 1 dmg - C//: Finisher slash, base 40 dmg, hits up to 5 times depending on corruption level and fully shatters crest. Last hit does base 50 dmg. (Uses up all corruption) (very anime lol) - Spacebar// : Take off/Land - Can glide, gliding into a creature with less than 10% of its max HP will do a finishing move that instakills it (100% corruption required to perform manouvre, uses 25% corruption) Taming: Taming a wild Darwinopterus consists of two stages: Feeding and riding. Stage 1: Feeding Since wild Darwinopterus only hunt corrupted creatures. survivors can walk right up to them safely. You will have to passively feed a Darwinopterus corrupted nodules and watch for five visual stages of its crest to signify full corruption. The Darwinopterus will screech and flutter its wings, and the patterns on its back will turn purple and pulsate violently for a while to signify that it is fully corrupted. crest corruption in action: Stage 2: Riding Stage 2 begins when the Darwinopterus plays its full corruption animation. At this point, you will have to quickly get on the back of the Darwinopterus, and guide it to kill corrupted creatures. The corruption on its crest will get chipped off with every attack just like when tamed, and when the crest is fully broken, the Darwinopterus will land and buck you off. At this point, you have to go back to stage 1. Repeat until tamed. How to fail: - attacking the Darwinopterus in any way when uncorrupted will cause it to see you as a threat and attack - getting the Darwinopterus to below 25% HP in stage 2 will cause it to buck you off and flee. Silly stuff: Some pictures of the irl animal: The actual real Darwinopterus: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Darwinopterus Extra credits: Katanaa, ashgcy and many others who helped me brainstorm and come up with ideas for the Darwinopterus, Shockal, RiskyBiscuits, Sovira, RRG, DILONG, and many other amazing artists who are some of my biggest inspirations, and all of YOU wonderful people for taking the time out of your day to read through this silly submission of mine! And that's all folks, enjoy!
  2. Wild: Wandering the most climate extreme environments in this broke earth, Sinotyrannus Radium has been able to harvest electricity from the environment thanks to its element mutations and use it offensively This Sinotyrannus' crest is usually used as the main outlet of electricity in his body, its able to use its electricity to either shoot out a lightning bolt which crosses among multiple enemies or a flash of blinding light made to stun them Taming Method: You must wait till it shoots its flashbang or lightning bolt, and either deflect it with either a metal shield (flashbang) or with the riot shield (lighting bolt), then it will be stunned, then you may feed it to gain taming effectiveness Tamed: Tribes upon the wasteland have been able to tame these predators by using their own attacks against them, stunning them by reflecting their respective attack and feeding them afterwards Some of these Sinotyrannus are fitted with generator saddles and used as mobile electric sources which dont need gas, this generators are also able to overcharge the Sinotyrannus and make them specially fast and agile compared to most creatures Sinotyrannus; Abilities: Regular bite: Fast bite with decent damage, comparable to carno Lighting bolt: When you enter turret mode you can choose on of two modes, the first mode gives you a lighting bolt shot, which has goes through multiple enemies dealing damage to all of em, a hard hitting attack which takes a couple seconds to recharge, the crest will be a bright yellow when doing this Flashbang: The second mode inside of turret mode is the flashbang, this attack stuns creatures and blind for a few seconds, this attack has a big cooldown and is easy to predict due to its animation, this is to prevent getting stunned all the time, whenever this mode is active the crest will be a bright blue Stomp: A stomp attack which deals moderate damage but leaves an electric field on the ground, this electric field deactivates Meks and other robotic creatures, also it does a continuous stream of damage when inside Passive Abilities: Generator Saddle: Its saddle acts as a mobile generator, this generator doesnt need gas but has a much smaller range Overcharge: When it has a powered generator saddle it unlocks the overcharge meter, this can be filled by attacking and running, when this is activated he is able to do 180 spins on the spot, mega jumps which explode with electricity when it lands and faster movement speed

Wiki Info and Links: Carnufex is an extinct genus of crocodylomorph suchian from the Late Triassic of North America. The genus was first described in 2015 by Zanno et al., who named the binomial Carnufex carolinensis, meaning "Carolina butcher". Two specimens are known, the holotype skull and skeleton NCSM 21558, and the referred humerus NCSM 21623. The specimens are from the Carnian-age Pekin Formation, which dates to 231 million years ago. Based on the holotype, Carnufex would have been about 3 m (9.8 ft) long and 1.5 m (4.9 ft) tall, although it may have gotten larger due to the holotype not being fully grown. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carnufex
  4. ORCINUS PALEORCA Dossier: “Orcinus Paleorca might appear closely related to the other dolphins and whales of the Ark’s oceans, but it’s certainly not as friendly. Orcinus is a fearsome pack hunter, often forming pods of up to eight individuals, in order to hunt the largest prey in the deep, dark ocean of The Center. These Orcas are agile, powerful hunters that easily hunt Megalodon, tearing off Prime Fish as easily as I could pick a flower. Their teeth seem perfectly adapted to carving their prey, and their thick skin makes them immune to all bio-electricity! Taming Orcinus is difficult, as they cannot be knocked out when surrounded by fellow Orcinus. One must be lured away or trapped, and the pod must be lured away – difficult due to their loyalty to one another! If tamed, they can be fed bio-toxin to activate their bioluminescent capabilities, turning Orcinus into an underwater flashlight! A tamed pod is a force to be reckoned with, and never stray too far from each other. They are highly intelligent, and I’ve seen them care for baby sea creatures with an aggression not yet matched by any other animal on the Ark!” Image at the bottom! Art by @gregsavvidesart - give him a websearch! -------------- Orcinius Paleorca – the bioluminescent bunch of buddies! This creature is designed to be the Allosaurus of the sea – fun on its own, but downright terrifying in a pod. Orca are top predators in our oceans (Screw you yachts!) and can always be found in a pod, preying on sharks, whales, and anything and everything else. The Orcinus will be your go-to sea tame; powerful and fast, with a focus on solo scouting and defensive capabilities to ensure Megalodon aren’t a threat, along with jellies and those blasted eels. Orcinus is fun on its own, but grab some tribemates and hop on other Orcinus, and you’ll see the benefits! The leader gets a buff which boosts other Orcinus attack rating by 10%, and increases their swim speed by a flat 15%! This applies to both ridden and unridden Orcinus, and you can easily command your fellow Orcinus to attack a target while you stay back. The ocean is a scary place on Ark, and you never know what’s lurking round the next rock stack. Thankfully, the Orcinus Paleorca have evolved to sense the largest creatures in the ocean, so prepare to be pinged like the Parasaur radar whenever they sense the fiery charge of an Alpha creature! They can toggle on a flashlight mode when loaded with bio-toxin, creating a large area of light akin to the mining helmet but more powerful! No more dark, lonely dives!! Wild Orcinus are relatively peaceful creatures when it comes to Survivors; they’re smart enough to know harpoons hurt! Whilst they wont necessarily attack swimmers out at sea, any act of aggression will bring the pod down on you, and good luck surviving that assault! Tamed Orcinus are particularly loyal to not only their rider, but to their young. They see any tamed baby sea creature as their own, and they can be set to “patrol” the area around a specific baby; this will make them enter aggression mode, and they’ll seek out anything that’s a threat within range and tear it to pieces before they even aggro your baby. They’ll then return to the baby and keep watch while you do you. The Orcinus’ eye patches lights up in the dark ocean, to act as a natural light down in the deep! Whilst this isn’t necessarily accurate, the Ark has strange ways of changing a creature! This would be infinitely useful when down in the ocean at night, as the pitch-black waters will be a little less scary with a helpful nightlight…or eight!! The deep ocean will no longer be a scary, lonely, dark place with these guys around, so long as you have plenty of bio-toxin!!
  5. the hatzegopteryx will be a better and easier to tame version of the quetzal. being 18ft tall, the hatzegopteryx would be a similar size to the quetzal. instead of being domesticated through tranq darts and feeding, it would be a passive tame... kinda. to tame the creature you must sacrifice tames to it (similar to a troodon). it would pick up the tame and fly away. this will make a chase similiar to taming crystal wyverns. once tamed the hatzegopteryx will fly back to you and bow its head where you will have a limited amount of time to mount it. after being mounted it will finally be tamed. it will be a neutral creature so it will not attack you unless you attack it. it will have a good weight stat and have a weight reduction on raw meat, raw prime meat, raw mutton, cooked meat, cooked prime meat, cooked mutton, wood, metal, and stone. this will be a 50% weight reduction making it perfect for resource runs. it will be able to carry two creatures, one in its mouth (where the creature will take damage), and one in its claws. in its mouth it will be able to pick up creatures the size of a direbear and smaller, and in its claws it will be able to pick up creatures the size of a rex and smaller. if you want any more info copy and paste the link below. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hatzegopteryx cool drawing i drew https://www.pinterest.co.uk/pin/997406648706962652
  6. Hi survivors today I present to you the Wallog (Rhacophorus Nigropalmatus) | The ATV Flying Frog of the Center References Frog Fun Facts | AMNH https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wallace's_flying_frog Concept Explanation: I have played on the Center in creative mode, and know that for a long time Arkers have loved and still love this map, no matter how forgotten it was, and all of them were crushed when it was skipped in the votes, until now. I heard a certain “Arker” say that they wanted something similar to the Maewing. So something with a glide, and a jump, and good capability underwater. I didn’t just want to submit a sugar glider, or even a flying squirrel, I wanted something unique, that has all the capabilities that this “Arker” wanted. However this creature will differ from the Beelzebufo immensely in use, and hopefully it will become loved if it makes the submission. I know lots of people don’t use the Beelzebufo tons so I’m hoping the Wallog gives it more use in modern Ark. Since this frog is pretty tiny, I will be scaling it up so that it is big enough to be ridden. Ok let's begin. Behavior: The Wallog is going to be neutral, and when attacked will not deal significant amounts of damage. However, it does have a unique feature to befriend adolescent to adult frogs that will follow it. These frogs will affect taming and stats on the Wallog. More on the taming in that section. Utility: The Wallog is designed to be a fast way around the Center, on land using its powerful jump and glide (kinda like a Maewing), and in water using the same traits to zoom through the water. Its saddle will be unlocked at level 32 and can be crafted in your inventory. It will take no fall damage. Its glide will be a small bit slower than the Maewing, but the maneuverability will be a slight bit better, as well as the jump height. It will not be able to slide (hence the higher jump) on land or water, but will be able to still jump out of the water. It comes along with no oxygen stat, for maximum water travel potential. The Wallog will have a climbing ability (activated with RMB,) and will be able to cling to any surface after a jump. It will also have rider weaponry. Special Ability: If you tame a Wallog and you have up to 5 Beelzebufo following it, it will gain damage in percentage based on how many frogs are following it. The Wallog will gain 12% damage per frog, but it will not be 12% after the last 12% was counted, the 12% will always be added to the base damage that the Wallog was doing before the frogs followed it. However, this damage comes at the cost of losing your jump and glide. Don’t worry, all you have to do is make sure that the frogs stop following the tamed Wallog and you regain your jump and glide without having to cryo the frogs. Mate boost regardless of when it is placed in the equation results in the same number, so don’t worry about that. In order to make sure that these don’t become overpowered I’m going to make the cap of a tamed Wallog (tamed not imprinted) 300 damage. When you add that all up you get 638.4 which in damage numbers would be rounded down to 638. So in other words, if imprinted fully it can probably deal around 1000 damage a lick. LMB: A lick that deals around 100-300 damage depending on the level. AOE around 250o with 1 foundation reach. Every 5 licks, the Wallog will inflict a poison that slows by 25% and damages the victim for 10 seconds; the amount of damage dealt by the poison would be 2%. RMB: Activates Climbing Mode C Ability: When you hit C a crosshair will appear, and the Wallog will use its tongue as a grapple, the grapple controls would be the same as the normal grapple is, and you can deactivate the tongue by hitting C again. X Ability: Ability is based on what you feed it. Different X Abilities: Poison Attack, Night Vision/Vision Sharpener, and Camouflage. Poison Attack: Licks the target for no damage, but inflicts a 5 second 5% damage poison, this will stack with the basic LMB attack. Night Vision/Vision Sharpener: This can be activated no matter the time of day, but during the day instead of night vision, the Wallog enables its riders to see a clear white outline around each creature, similar to the tek helmet. At night it will be a night vision similar to the desmodus, except everything will be blue instead of red, and the frog won’t flash when night vision is enabled. Camouflage: Camouflage is going to be different for the Wallog than any other creature, when camouflage is enabled it will consume 5 stamina a second. But instead of going clear, the Wallog will actually change color when it moves to match the environment. Taming: To tame the Wallog you must kill all the Beelzebufo following it, since these are loyal followers to the Wallog you’re taming, the Wallog will also come and attack you. Then start knocking it out, once knocked out you must feed it one of the following things depending on how you want your Wallog to work with the taming food defining the X Ability. The Wallog will have a medium drain rate of torpor. Now depending on how many Beelzebufo you kill will give you a better roll for good stats, those stats being; melee, health, weight, and stamina, you will get 10% per frog to get this good roll. There will be one new item that will have to be added into the game, called the berry mixture made in the mortar and pestle. This will be a combination of amarberries, mejoberries, azulberries, and tintotberries, this will basically make taming the camouflage variant easier and can introduce a new thing for all herbivores. Taming Food: If you want to have any of these abilities you must feed the Wallog you are taming a certain food. Since one of these modes requires narcoberries, you will have to find a different way of keeping the Wallog knocked out like narcotics or even bio toxin, as long as it isn’t narcoberries. If you feed it narcoberries, you get the poison attack, this is the easiest of the modes to tame it, as when it eats the food, it will actually regain torpor. When feeding the Wallog chitin you will get the night vision/vision sharpener ability. When feeding the Wallog the berry mixture, you will get the camouflage. Dossier: A little note that I will be making dossier art for the Wallog Wild: The Rhacophorus Nigropalmatus seems to be the dominant frog species among the Beelzebufo, it seems that it has unique adaptation to help it survive in the murky swamp. An even bigger frog, who would’ve thought? When provoked the Rhacophorus unleashes its massive damage to protect its followers, if it has any. A Rhacophorus alone is extremely vulnerable to other creatures in the swamp. Domesticated: Strangely, based on what you feed the Rhacophorus changes its abilities. Adapted with a jump and even a glide, this will be a sure favorite for tribes who need to get around. It has a way with other frogs and can use them to increase its effectiveness in killing off unwanted creatures. No matter how slimy this creature is, there no debating that it has huge versatality. The End: Thank you for going through this whole submission, I’ll be happy to credit any ideas that are in the comments! Happy Arking Everybody! -ARKSmash
  7. My Deinocheirus is gonna be a mid-game creature! Since The Center’s a Majority water, I wanted to make a creature that could be good for traveling the map but still leave room for some power and utility! So, I present to you, Deinocheirus Amphibidae! It’d be a semi-derpy creature but one that has a good sum of utility! I also wanted to bring a bit more life to the swamps! Something that wouldn’t try to kill you outright, but if you get it angry, you’ll be sorry you did! I felt inspired by some other creatures of past votes! It’d be almost as big as a Paracer, so you couldn’t miss it! So, take a look why don’t you? 🌎Habitat 🌎 Off the bat with a home and native habitat! As I said before, Deinocheirus would make its home in the swamps! They’d also live in the underground area of the map! Figured there could be something down there to reward those of you daring or lucky enough to make the trip! Saddle Seating - 3 Ability - Hydrated Like the Shadowmane and Spino, Deinosuchus would get the Hydrated ability! It’d get a boost in Health Regen, Movement Speed, Sharper Turn Radius, and Melee Damage! It’d seem fitting that a creature whose claws could cleave targets to pieces and can traverse the watery map with ease gets this buff! With a high health stat, yeah, you’ll be sitting on the beach letting your giant derpy duck play in the water for a bit, but it'll be worth it to keep it alive! Ability - Fish Filleting Since there’s creatures that take up roles of some tools, I figured we get one that’d be a living, Sickle! The Deinocheirus in the real world was presumed to eat plants but also consume fish! So, in the game I’ll make it a way you can not only get a lot of fish, it’d also be great for getting raw Prime Fish! Also, it’d have a weight reduction for the resource. Ability - Mobility Switching When the Deinosuchus enters deep enough water, it’ll gain webbing for its hands and feet and act as paddles for you to swim through the sea. Since you’d need a way to get from place to place, this is going to be one of its primary mechanics. Couple it’s decent swim speed with Hydration, it’ll be a very decent swimmer! You don’t have to worry about it going under either as it’ll have a natural buoyancy to it! Ability - Torpor Immunity To add a level of difficulty to this passive tame, the Deinocheirus is immune to Tranq Darts and Arrows! I’d figure since it lives in a biome where a good portion of the creatures deliver a blow to knock prey out, it’d built up an immunity! Taming You’ll have to be quick to feed this creature! It’ll have a preference of food! Ranked from the standard berries (Narco and Stim Berries Included), being the lowest, then Raw Fish, then Crops, then Raw Prime Fish meat! During the feeding interval, you’ll have to watch for the claws as they will swing them around in delight as you feed them! If you're in the path, they’ll do a decent bit of damage on you. So be careful while you try! Dossier Wild its interesting to see a creature in the swamps that can stand toe to toe with the Paracers. However, Deinocheirus Amphibidae is a pleasant surprise! Grazing in the swamps of this ark, they seem to neader and wade in the muggy waters. Grazing on the local flora and hunting occasional fish. It is refreshing to see docile and albeit friendly creatures wander the swamps. It seems to be ignored by most creatures, I have seen only one instance where a Sarco attempted to attack one, only to see the Sarco be ripped to shreds by the Deinocheirus's claws. While I was observing this massive creature, I noticed it has retractable webbing along its claws and fleet. Perhaps it's able to use its size and that webbing to swim from island to island of the center. I've witnessed the Deinocheirus gain a similar effect to the Spinosaurus when it's in the water! Perhaps it could rival the spino… Domesticated The Deinocheirus's claws make for collecting both normal and prime fish meat easy! Especially from fish like the Sabertooth Salmon and the piranha of its native biome. I've also seen that many tribes who want to show a sign of peace go for the Deinocheirus. If I had to give the creature a motto it'd be 'Speak soft and Carry a Big Stick.' This Gentle Giant is a fierce fighter if it needs to be. Especially if it makes contact with the water. Tribes who I've spoken with have all listed the same thing, Deinocheirus cannot be taken out by Tranquilizers or darts. However, they will not turn down being hand fed a free meal of Fish or Crops. They just have to be cautious not to get in the way of their claws that sway while they're eating. I do greatly hope you enjoy the Deinocheirus Amphibidae! It’s my first proper post! So, here’s hoping it makes it!
  8. THE BIG DOG IS BACK Name - Amphicyon Monsthorax Period - Miocene Diet - Carnivore Temperament - Aggressive DOSSIER - WILD Found within the highest mountains and coldeat caverns of the ARK, Amphicyon Monsthorax is a colossal canine, a mix of Dire Bear and Dire Wolf with qualities both combining and separating itself from its close cousins. Its limbs are incredibly strong and thick, able to leap incredible distances and pin down its prey, only to rip them apart with its powerful jaws, having a particularly gruesome habit of coating its face with blood. This, subsequently sends it into an aggressive frenzy and scaring away anything smaller than it that would seek a fight. It's incapable of climbing due to its shortened claws, but it displays impressive ability in scaling walls with jumps, though young Amphicyon or unskilled riders may quickly find themselves scrambling for leverage if they move sloppily on steep mountain faces or walls. DOMESTICATED Taming Amphicyon is no small task. Their thick, shaggy fur makes tranquilizers pretty much unusable, but their aggression is far too high for a passive tame, especially in their Bloodlusted state. That is, unless the Amphicyon is hungry. Much like the ancient canines of our time, you must gain a starving Amphicyon's trust with feeding it meat, and ideally, said meat will be drugged to knock it unconscious, for a safe taming experience. When tamed, they make for a nigh unparalleled travel mount, capable of scaling any mountain with their powerful jumps. Their pelt simultaneously provides insulation from the harsh cold of the mountains, and is able to naturally protect it from projectiles, though explosives and fire are able to bypass this protection. Their thick forelimbs also allow them to pin down any unsuspecting prey, be it man or beast, before then being subject to being ripped apart by the Amphicyon or even shot at from a skilled rider, allowing them to become even more fierce for whatever battle comes next. MECHANICS - Standing at a size rivaling the Andrewsarchus, the Amphicyon is a colossal relative of the Direwolf, aptly nicknamed Bear-Wolf for its massive stature and thick claws and arms. They're found in the absolute coldest norths of The Center, in the Tundra, mountains and Edge of the World zones, feasting on Mammoths, Rhinos, and even other wolves. Living in such intense cold has allowed their fur to grow incredibly thick, stopping any tranquilizer from penetrating their flesh and reducing incoming damage from bullets, though explosives like rockets and grenades, as well as flamethrowers, flame arrows, and oil jars, are still able to cause significant damage. They're naturally aggressive, attacking pretty much anything in their area and boasting the ability to pin down creatures smaller than them, including Raptors, Carnos, and even small fliers like Pteranodon and Tapejara. This also allows them to dismount riders. When pinned, the Amphicyon will bite down on its prey, causing significant damage. Players are able to escape by attacking it with a firearm or net launcher, but any other melee attacks will do very little thanks to its thick fur. Creatures are unable to escape from a pin, however the pin will end after around 30 seconds, allowing the creature to escape so long as it has sufficient health. In the wild, Amphicyon have a natural hunger meter that is refilled by eating corpses. When an Amphicyon hasn't eaten in some time, it will enter a starving state, indicated by slobber coming from its mouth and a significant debuff to its speed. When starving, the Amphicyon is significantly more aggressive to mid-sized animals, but less aggressive to players and smaller creatures. In order to tame a wild Amphicyon, you have to insert a Narotic into a wild corpse, drugging the meat, before then dragging the corpse towards Amphicyon. It will slowly approach and eventually eat the corpse, and when consumed, it will then start to follow you. You then have to either kill a new creature and repeat the process, or feed it the next corpse you have. Eventually, the drugs will kick in and the Amphichyon will be knocked unconscious, allowing for the usual ko-and-feed tame. When tamed, the Amphicyon is a jack of all trades for solo players and nomadic tribes. Boasting impressive attack, a natural resistance to most incoming damage, and incredible mobility, it'll be a premier travel mount for the most dangerous areas in Ragnarok. It boasts natural insulation from cold, though not from heat, and a somewhat impressive weight stat for carrying items across long distances. Like its cousin, the Dire Bear, it has the ability to pick up speed over the course of a sprint, though it suffers the same drawback of being unable to retain said speed when turning. This is, however, made up for in its incredible jumping ability, able to scale impressive heights in one leap, or jumping from wall to wall to effortlessly scale even the tallest mountains. However, when jumping from wall to wall, you must be quick and keep your momentum, otherwise the Amphicyon will begin to rapidly descend due to its small claws' lack of grip. Thankfully, its habit of high jumps gives it significantly reduced fall damage even from particularly steep heights. It's a poor swimmer due to its weight, and should ideally never be put anywhere near water. While lacking in the Dire Wolf's ability to hunt in packs and gain buffs from its packmates, it instead is able to let out a confidence-boosting howl to increase the defense of its teammates, allowing it to also act as a durable support mount in large-scale battles. Lastly, the Amphicyon is able to use its massive forelimbs to pin down smaller animals. When it attacks a pinned creature, it will become coated in blood, and gain the Bloodlust effect. Bloodlust, similar to the Carcharodontosaurus's Bloodrage, is a buff that gives the Bear-Wolf increased damage, but the blood also causes nearby smaller creatures to be intimidated, reducing their damage, and ensuring that trying to outmaneuver or flank an Amphicyon may end poorly for the recipient. It can be refilled by pinning down and attacking another creature, and will gain extra time if eating a corpse. CONTROLS - Left Click/Primary Attack - A traditional bite attack. When standing still, this attack is quicker, able to string together powerful knockback-inducing paw slaps with bites. When running, it can only bite, but it gains the ability to lunge in the opposite direction similar to the Sarco if the player is facing the opposite direction, handy for gaining the upper hand on more mobile opponents or escaping a fight it may not be to win. Right Click/Secondary Attack - A large paw slam, which pins down any small creature in front of it. Creatures its size or larger will instead be knocked back, though creatures above a certain size threshold are instead immune to the knockback effects. When held down, it becomes a straightforward lunge, pinning down anything caught in its way. This will then allow the Amphicyon to bite down and gain the Bloodlust effect. C/Tertiary Attack - The Amphicyon howls, increasing its allies' vigor and boosting their defense for a set amount of time, which can be reset with each howl. While not as strong of a buff as a Yutyrannus, Shadowmane, or Carcharodontosaurus, it is able to move while howling, allowing for the howl to be provided to allies further away. Space/Jump - Like the Karkinos, Procoptodon, and Shadowmane, the Amphicyon is capable of long-distance jumps by holding down the jump button, and boasts the unique capabiltiy of wall-jumping, chaining jumps from one wall to another, allowing for scaling of particularly large and complex bases, or the large mountains it calls home. As well, when mid-air, it can also decide to divebomb onto a creature beneath it, allowing it to lead straight into a pin on smaller creatures, or doing impressive damage on creatures its size or larger. UTILITY - PvE - Amphicyon, while not as agile as something like a Dire Wolf or Raptor, is nevertheless an incredibly valuable travel mount. Between their power, speed, jump heights,, impressive weight stat, and ability to support teammates, it works as an invaluable member of any caravan or slow traveling party, so long as you keep them away from the water. PvP - It works equally as well as a proper war mount. While lacking a pack mechanic, they work excellently in picking off smaller and more agile mounts thanks to their Bloodlust mechanic, pin and overall bulk, as well as their ability to turn on the spot and jump out of any conflict that becomes too dangerous. As well, their supporting howl can be used in large armies in conjuction with a Yutyrannus to further boost a tribe's war mounts and boss fighters. WEAKNESSES - The main turn-off for most when taming an Amphicyon is simply its habitat. It lives in intense, harsh climates rife with predators, so you have to be truly dedicated and sure that you want it before making the trek, though particularly capable players are likely able to lure it into more temperate climates safely. As a tame, Amphicyon is a jack of all trades, but a master of none. It lacks the speed of a Dire Bear or Andrewsarchus due to its increased bulk, but also lacks both of their impressive weight-carrying abilities. It can't reach the same heights as a Procoptodon, and it isn't as capable of climbing sheer cliffs as a Thylacoleo or Megalania, but it nevertheless utilizes each of their abilities in its own unique way. It has many tools to punish greedy mobile mounts, but it struggles with quick turns and running from fights, meaning it's best to avoid contact with larger creatures like Rexes or Rhynios.
  9. Meet palaeopantopus! This giant relative of sea spiders could be seen in the wild clinging to rock crevices like a thyla and jumping at people to rip apart your small tames. When tamed, this creatures would be able to climb in all directions like a rock drake and harvests three times the amount of black pearls from trilobites and eurypterids then any other tame. It could also jump decently high and having a camouflage ability underwater like a desmodus. It wouldn’t have the highest health for combat since it would be a harvester that can travel easier then most amphibious tames and can do decent damage as well as having a high weight stat. Taming: To tame this creature, you would have to ride a beelzebufo and let if grab onto it. Then you just need the frog to stay alive long enough for the sea spider to knock itself out from attacking your frog. Then when it’s knocked out, just feed it black pearls to tame. Moveset: Left click is a slash that does 65 base damage, right click allows the palaeopantopus to climb onto surfaces and if you use left click while clinging to a rock surface, you can pounce onto creatures as big as a thyla, c would be a venom spit that does torpor, and space would be a jump that could be held for a large jump and doesn’t take fall damage. Conclusion: I hope the Palaeopantopus makes it into the center since I believe such a unique amphibious tame would be perfect for the center nd if you have any ideas to add, I will try to incorporate them into my idea. Take care and I hope this fella gets into The Center! What the Palaeopantopus could look like
  10. The Volaticotherium is a flying squirrel which may not be a big carnivore but the utility makes up for it's size. Wild: These squirrels spend most of their time sleeping on the redwood trees in the green zone. Occasionally they will go looking for food, picking bushes for berries and eating mushrooms. They are very aware of their surroundings and if a predator comes close, they will flee at high speed towards the nearest tree or rock ledge. Taming: Taming the Volaticotherium may be a tricky task since there's not many of them in the world. Their skittish nature also doesn't help with that. These animals are very food motivated so treats are the best option. Items like honey, fruit, plant species x, y and z seeds are beloved by the squirrels. Look for squirrels sleeping on the trees, don't attempt taming on the ground as they will flee. After you've found your squirrel, dressed in ghillie armor approach the tree and throw a treat on the ground and move away. The Volaticotherium will smell it and come down to eat it. Sometimes the squirrel may require a few treats to become tamed, just repeat the process. Utility: This animal offers a unique way to scout the world of the Aberrant caves. At level 75 you unlock the Volativlcotherium Remote Camera (VRC). This can be put on your squirrel which was a normal shoulder pet before, turning it into a living drone! When you enter the RC mode, you can control the squirrel with a series of whistles, each one coresponding to a different action. But beware, your time controlling the squirrel is limited by your battery and stamina. You are limited to a view from the camera on the belly of the squirrel (no 3rd person). In the time of your battery life and stamina, you can either run on the ground or climb a wall/tree, jump, and glide through the air! Be advised that the whistles controlling the squirrel can be heard by other survivors and the Volaticotherium can be shot down easily due to it's slow gliding speed. For balance purposes you cannot mount C4 on them and they're not immune to radiation. I hope you like my suggestion and if you see a spelling/grammar error, please tell and i will fix it. 11. Herrerasaurus would be a mid game Dino that would make the mid game of ark more interesting with its unique gimmicks Wild Herrerasaurus would spawn in All maps as it would fit in well in all. It would spawn in the green and blue zone in aberration but the plains as a rarer raptor it would also spawn in the desert. It Would be slightly bigger than a Baryonyx and look like a bigger raptor that does not have feathers. This could also jump over two wall high to escape traps and get up ledges. They would travel in packs of 3 or so Stats and Harvesting Stats Health-Slightly lower than a Carno Melee-About Carno Stamina-Twice as much as a raptor Weight- About Carno Oxygen-Same as a Raptor Good at getting Prime Meat And Organic Polymer Okay at Hide and Meat Gets twice the amount of Nameless Venom Good at getting Bee Honey and Fiber Great at getting Chitin and Keratin Guaranteed Trophies On kill Abilities The Herrerasaurus Has Three different poison glands that can be cycled like stego plates.Would be secondary attack Corrosion Venom Does damage over time if hits creatures with this venom and can break metal and below besides for stone(Wild Herrerasaurus Use this one) Draining Venom Lowers speed and stamina of whatever Dino it hits (similar to a titanomyrma Tranquillizing Venom A venom that actually does decent torpor and lower damage similar to what a crossbow would do but no durability and a creature Normal attack Inflicts bleed 1/10 hits for 3 seconds Taming You must be a minimum level of 25 to tame a herrerasaurus. It will fall asleep at day similar to a Shadowmane where it will still be dangerous. When asleep you must feed it narcotic then run away and hide from it until it goes back to sleep rinse and repeat until unconscious. It would take max ten narcotic to knock out a 150.When unconscious it will eat any meat and rare mushrooms. 12. Back with another - HEEEELP! HEELP MEEEEE Anyway funny ammonite Name - Crioceratites Lux Period - Early Cretaceous Diet - Carnivore Temperament - Neutral DOSSIER WILD Hidden within the bioluminescent chambers of the broken Ark, Crioceratities Lux, despite being a recognizable species from prehistoric times, has mutated and evolved to such a bizarre and extreme extent that it seems right at home with the many colossal monsters lining this Ark's deepest depths. Roughly around the size of the giant crabs it shares its habitat with, Crioceratites is uniquely adapted to both life in bioluminescent environments and life within water, but is also surprisingly capable on solid ground, able to filter oxygen and breathe, but not able to survive for long unless properly hydrated. What most immediately notice about Crioceratites is the large, spiral shell it houses its otherwise soft, squishy body in, large enough to house its entire body, tentacles included. The outside is lined with large protruding spikes, which can be used as both defense, and, surprisingly, allow Crioceratites to move when terrestrial, rolling around like a giant spiked wheel, although its speed is rather negligible when compared to the likes of the Roll Rat. This shell, as well as its true body, are lined with a unique bioluminescent chemical that allows them to produce charge, just like the Microluminus family. The ability to control and flash the lights allows them to intimidate would-be predators, and the charge scares away the otherwise fearsome Nameless. DOMESTICATED Taming Crioceratites is no easy task, but should one pull it off, you have yourself a handy mount for entering the depths of the broken Ark thanks to their tough, spiky shell and the ability to produce charge passively. They're rather lacking in pure offense, however, and instead are best used as a disruptive support mount to accompany your large powerhouses. Their tentacles, which are able to flash just as its shell can, are able to outright release powerful charge lasers akin to the charge lantern, stunning aggressors in their tracks or weakening the likes of Nameless and Reapers. When in a pinch, Crioceratites can retract into their shell and roll away, though, due to this unique habit of theirs, the saddle is uniquely placed to ensure lack of dizziness and safety while rolling, so you'll also have to deal with the sticky insides of their shell until you've stopped. MECHANICS Standing at a size rivaling the Karkinos, held aloft by large tentacles, the Crio is a colossal ammonite. Like the crab as well, it's a rather slow walker and sprinter, having poor stamina and struggling with steep terrain, but this is however made up for with its unique ability to curl up into its shell. When doing so, the Crio gains the ability to roll using said shell, allowing for improved movement speed using less stamina, but the Crio will both be unable to attack when curled up, and will struggle with sharp turns, instead having a large turn radius to make up for the increased speed. Though, smaller creatures will get trampled beneath the Crio's spiky shell if they're not careful. Like the Spino and Shadowmane, Crioceratites can gain the hydrated buff, lasting for 30 seconds outside of the water, and boosting their damage, speed, and regeneration. In the wild, they're passive unless approached, in which case they'll assault their aggressor with lashing tentacles and attempting to stun them with their use of charge. TAMING The taming method is simple, but complicated. One simply has to exhaust them of their charge, and in doing so, this will cause the Crio to curl up into its shell. When curled up, one must either shoot it with a charge lantern or throw Plant Species Z fruits at it, gaining its trust and taming it with the promise of constant charge. When tamed, they can use their natural supply of charge to light your way through the depths, as well as having a natural immunity to radiation. They're best used as a long-term adventuring mount, taken out for long treks in dangerous areas due to their high defensive capabilities and solid speed when curled up. When tamed and standing, if not in use for more than 5 minutes, they will retract into their shell as to preserve their moisture. When the ride prompt appears, they must exit their shell before the player can ride. However, it is best not to rely on the Crioceratites in a fight to the death, as while their damage is not negligible, compared to the many other beasts of Aberration, they lack the powerful offense to truly be considered a powerhouse, and instead are best used to repel attackers rather than kill or pursue. CONTROLS When riding a Crio, the rider sits atop their head rather than the shell, being taken inside said shell when tucked in to roll. Its walk speed is quite slow, comparable to the Karkinos, and its sprint speed is only somewhat decent, comparable to a tamed Rex. When rolling, it gains a significant speed boost at the cost of poor turning, comparable to a tamed Raptor, though it gains a speed boost on land when Hydrated. Its swimming speed is comparable to a tamed Basilosaurus. Like various creatures, the Crio will turn to face the direction of the player's camera, rather than remaining in one direction when the player looks to their side. Though, unlike other creatures, they can walk and sprint omnidirectionally, and this can be decently useful for warding off aggressors. This ability, however, is lost when swimming, instead having to turn when both moving and attacking like the Tusoteuthis. Left Click / Primary Attack A simple tentacle lash, using either of the two large tentacles not supporting itself. While not doing much damage, they possess solid knockback, and can be used to ward off attackers and allow for allies to follow-up. When facing forward or down, it will do a strong slam with both tentacles, which has stronger knockback than either left or right tentacle on their own. This can also be used while moving, in both a walk and a sprint. When in the water, the attack switches, causing the Crio to turn to face the target. The tentacle lash remains the same, having negligible damage, but gaining the ability to be used in succession while moving backwards. Right Click / Secondary Attack Using charge, right click will release a charge light from each of its tentacles, not unlike the charge lantern. When an enemy or wild creature enters the lights' vicinity, light will shoot out like a charge lantern, stunning the creature in its tracks for a couple of seconds, allowing the player to either attack, retreat, or recover. This cannot be used underwater. Instead, it is replaced with a large flash of light, which briefly stuns the target and gives the Crio a boost in speed, like the Tusoteuthis's ink spray. C / Tertiary Attack This will activate the Crio's charge passively, giving the same effects as a Lamprey or light pet without the use of either, and allowing the rider to venture into the Blue and Red Zones and ward off Nameless, as well as weakening Reapers. Space / Jump Using the jump input, the Crio will tuck itself, and its rider, into its shell. While inside of the shell, the rider becomes immune to damage, and the Crio gains both a 50% damage reduction, and a damage-reflect, causing any attack to partially harm the attacker, though neither of these apply to ranged attacks. Guns will pierce the Crio's shell without much effort, and elemental attack like a wyvern's breath are still just as effective. Though, when tucked into its shell, it also gains the ability to roll, gaining a significant boost in speed and the ability to trample small creatures and players, at the cost of poor turning. This does give the ability to gain momentum when rolling down an angle or slope, but will also cause the Crio to slow down when rolling up a slope. The Crio can also tuck into its shell underwater, though this makes it completely unable to move, running the risk of serious danger unless the aggressor is deterred from the shell's durability and spikes. UTILITY PVE In PVE, the Crio functions as a unique, all-terrain exploration mount with unique capabilities for solo players, as well as a premier support mount for tribes, working perfectly with a larger carnivore that is able to act as a proper combatant and target for wild creatures. Its ability to tuck into its shell and roll away is useful in just about any situation, though one should be mindful of its somewhat lackluster speed. Like the light pets, its ability to produce charge is invaluable in the deeper zones of Aberration, as is its immunity to radiation, though it does struggle with Seekers. PVP Most of its uses in PVE translate to PVP, acting as a valuable support mount from a distance, and being able to tank a serious amount of damage and run from fights it may end up struggling with. Its charge also makes it a more accessible and conventional option to deal with tamed Reaper Kings. WEAKNESSES While a worthwhile tame in many regards, the Crio is not without its fair share of downfalls. As mentioned, its ability to output damage is overall poor, the tentacle lash being good for knockback, but not doing much raw damage. Beyond its rolling, it's rather slow, easily outpaced by things both larger and smaller than it, and even when rolling, it's still unable to outrun the speedier creatures of the Arks, especially in regards to sharp turns. Even its attacking is comparatively rather slow, taking more time to execute a single slam than a Karkino's claw slam and for less damage. Like the Spino and Shadowmane, taking the Crio anywhere without water always puts them at a disadvantage due to its inability to acquire the Hydrated buff, and this is especially detrimental for the Crio due to its poor attack capabilities. Unless going for long voyages in hostile, but open areas, it's recommended to never bring a Crio anywhere on their own, and always have some kind of a stronger creature as a bodyguard, while they can attack as a support and a disruptor for the enemy. Lastly, unless tucked in, the Crio's tentacles and head lack any damage resistance, and the player is completely vulnerable when outside of the shell, and comparatively rather easy to see than some other saddles, making the rider an easy target for other players with ranged weapons.
  13. Species: Achillobator Time: late Cretaceous Diet: carnivore Temperament: Aggressive Tameable, rideable, pack hunter Wild: bigger and faster than Carnotaurus and smaller but stronger than allosaurus, these pack hunters are capable of taking down pray much larger than themselves. I have witnessed an Achillobator take down and hold a Allosaurus on the ground by itself with ease while another Achillobator came and killed the Allosaurus with little problem. Domesticated: a domesticated Achillobator is a tribes first pick when going out to tame other creatures because of its pounce and hold ability. They can even hold done enemy tribe tames, not to mention there traversal speed rivals that of deinonychus. Achillobator may not be able to clime walls but it can glide through the air and move in amazing speeds. Achillobator has adapted well to underground being able to climb the walls and heat vision to see all hidden creatures including Rock drakes. With its feathers having the charge abilities of a light pet lightning up the area taking away the need for a light pet. With the charge you can charge your batteries in its inventory. When threatened it will discharge all its charge in a EMP like attack. Just like humans find ways to capture and hold animals in a spot like traps or nets the Achillobator has figured out the best way to take down larger pray in the fastest and safest way is to pin down the animal and have its pack mates get the kill. Taming method: to tame a Achillobator you will need to trap one that is alone with either a net projectile or a large bear trap and the set it free to show it you are the alpha. But then you need to prove it by going on a killing spree with it by trapping creatures with the net projectile or bear traps and letting the achillobator kill it. Do this enough times and the Achillobator will tame to you
  14. ^All Art is done by Lapis Lazuli and Dossier is edited by Mihael Common Name :Majungasaurus Species : Majungasaurus absconditus Time : Late Cretaceous Diet : Carnivorous Temperament :Opportunistic WILD: Majungasaurus absconditus is quite the interesting theropod. While most of the creatures of the ark look different to their real life counterparts, majungasaurus seems to have evolved to fit into a new niche in the arks ecosystem. It seems to have adapted many traits from modern day chameleons including the ability to change their skin color to camouflage into their surroundings. Many survivors often talk about how they feel like there's something always watching them just from the treeline out of sight and from my studies I believe that majungasaurus may be the culprit. They seem to have a higher intelligence than most creatures on the ark and are very curious by nature. Domesticated: A tamed majungasaurus however is a scientist's best friend. These creatures can be used to sneak up on and study even the most dangerous of animals and can even help find certain desired traits in wild creatures. And for those who would rather venture out on their own, some survivors have figured out how to modify their armor with the shedded scales of majungasaurus to give them limited camouflage. Taming: To tame a majungasaurus you must gain its trust by crafting structures and other trinkets to appease its curiosity. The higher quality item the less taming effectiveness is lost. Taming 2: To tame a majungasaurus you must gain its trust by feeding into its cannibalistic tendencies. You must kill and bring other majungasaurus to the target majunga Stat Reading: While camouflaged on a majunga you are able to sneak up on unsuspecting creatures. If you're able to get close enough your majunga will be able to act like a primitive HLNA from the genesis maps and read out the base stats of said creature. Camouflage Armor: As the majunga sheds its skin, survivors will be able to gather leftover scales and apply it to their armor to gain the majungas ability to camouflage. However unlike majunga survivors will only be able to camouflage while standing completely still. Combat: The majunga isn't really much of a fighter so it only has a basic bite attack that does around the same damage as a carno. Size: The Majunga would be around the size of Megalosaurus ingame which would allow it to be a new caving creature since we haven't gotten anything capable of caving in a long time. Suggestions from Replies: Getting a buff when eating another Majunga Eat other tamed Majungas when it gets low on hunger Main Attack does bonus damage if used while invisible (brings majunga out of invisibility)
  15. Introducing Gorgonops, ARK’s Dagger-toothed Bloodhound Common Name: Gorgonops Species: Gorgonops secutor Time: Late Permian Diet: Carnivore Temperament: Aggressive Wild: “Gorgnops secutor has the most developed sense of smell I’ve witnessed among the local wildlife. It’s a hunter in every sense of the word: once it memorizes the scent of its next prey, it will seek it out anywhere, no matter how far it runs. Gorgonops prefers to take its time to bring down its target, since it’s no fast runner. Furthermore, its sturdy physique allows it to resist venom and toxins that would knock out or even kill any other creature of the same size. That means Gorgonops doesn’t have to worry about snake bites, bug stings, poison gas and such! Good thing it’s not so ravenous to devour anything it smells!” Domesticated: “I’ve met some ingenious survivors who specialized in training their Gorgonops as bloodhounds. This beast’s smelling is so masterly, it can be taught to recognize the scent of just about anything. Wild herbivores, tamed creatures, enemy survivors, you name it! It can even learn to detect hidden traps or treasures! Moreover, tracking creatures such as Parasaurus are able to detect threats from greater distances, with a tamed Gorgonops’ help. But that’s not all: thanks to its durability, survivors can use Gorgonops to carry knocked out creatures on a special transport sledge.” Introduction: Greetings, survivors! I introduce to you the stalker of scent; the Gorgonops! The foundational ideas and selling points for this therapsid include: Role as a tracker and taming assistant Taming method involving kidnapping Ability to find max-level creatures Immunity to torpor and toxins Enhances the tracking abilities of other creatures Can drag unconscious creatures to safer locations for taming The Gorgonops has repeatedly appeared in votes and makes it to the Top 10 consistently, but hasn’t made it through. As one of ARK’s scrapped creatures and one of the few from the mainstream to have not made it into the game, this concept for Ragnarok will give it time to shine. Wild: Gorgonops most often patrol the arid zones of Ragnarok. Their incredible sense of smell allows them to detect creatures in a wide range around them. Not being very fast, they tend to go after specifically slower prey, which includes survivors. They’re patient, and will track down their targets until an opportunity presents itself. You’ll usually find Gorgonops in mated pairs, since they guard something valuable. Taming Process: To protect their offspring from the dangers of the ARK, Gorgonops will build their dens in more secure and healthy areas. In these dens, they will store food and raise their pups isolated from the outside world. Survivors can enter these dens and kidnap the pups for themselves. However, parents have increased aggression towards anything within the vicinity of their dens, gaining a parental buff. The owners of the den will need to be dealt with in whatever way a survivor desires, and ensure that they can collect the pups in relative safety. From there, survivors will need to tend to the young beast’s needs until they are satisfied and reach adulthood. Tamed: Congratulations! You’ve successfully tamed a Gorgonops! With such a fierce predator and expert tracker in your hands, its utility will be immeasurable. Actions: Primary Attack (, , ): A basic bite attack. This ignores armor. Secondary Attack (, , ): The Gorgonops raises its nose to the air and takes in a scent. A reticle will appear, allowing for aim. Creatures sniffed out by a Gorgonops will be permanently tracked until they sniff out a different target. The current target will have their level and stats revealed like HLNA. Learning the scent of a specific animal will allow the Gorgonops to passively identify others of that species in the future. They can also identify the smells of objects like traps and explorer notes. Roar (Click C, , ): A strictly cosmetic roar. Jump (Press Space, , ): A basic jump. Cannot jump with the Gorgonops Sled Saddle. Passive Abilities: Autoalert: Like a Parasaur, the Gorgonops can detect specific threats. Because of its sense of smell, it can better pinpoint specific species. However, it needs to have been exposed to the scent before in order to properly warn their masters. Immunities: Gorgonops are immune to the effects of torpor, poisons, and radiation. Gorgonops Den: In their inventory, survivors can craft a den like those found in the wild. This structure can house anything up to the size of an adult Gorgonops and can store food like a trough. Babies will be able to eat from the stored reserves, and will grow at a faster rate while in the den. There is also notable insulation. Treasure Hunting: When idle, Gorgonops have a chance to uncover rare resources, equipment, blueprints that are added to their inventory. The quality of unearthed gear is entirely random. Tracking Buff: Nearby creatures with similar tracking ability such as Parasaurs, Troodons, and Direwolves have their own detection range increased in the presence of a Gorgonops. Sled Saddle: The Gorgonops has a standard Gorgonops Saddle. A more advanced Gorgonops Sled Saddle can be constructed as well. Unconscious creatures can be placed onto the sled and transferred to a different location. Multiple Gorgonops may be required to drag larger creatures. Two for a Rex, three for a Bronto, etc. Having this saddle equipped prevents jumping. The sled saddle can also carry cargo and can have structures placed on it’s surface area, great for sleigh rides in the snow and dessert also able to be used as a carry bus for multiple players if chairs are placed on it, because Gorgo is very quick it’s a faster alternative to platform saddle creatures and diplos. The sled can be used as a battering ram fill the sled up with rocks and switch to battering ram lead the Gorgo up a slope and detach the sled it will proceed to quickly crash down the hill destroying any structures in its path. Parental Buff (Wild Only): In the presence of their own pups, wild Gorgonops receive a buff that increases damage output and damage resistance. Pups raised by survivors don’t develop this behavior. Utility & Scenarios: PvE: Gorgonops provide lots of use when it comes to taming creatures. Their scent being able to identify the levels and stats of creatures makes finding worthy tames far easier. Bringing unconscious creatures to safety as they tame is also incredibly helpful. If you need to return to a particular creature later since you don’t have the resources, you can leave the creature marked and come back once you’re ready. The Gorgonops Den is great for raising babies with the growth buff and food reserves. The den can also act as a temporary base when on the go. Digging up valuable treasure is certainly valuable in itself. Gorgonops may see use in swamps and other areas with lots of venomous insects and beasts. PvP: Gorgonops make for great base defenders. Their autoalert defining specific species is paired well with Parasaurs who identify particular groups of enemies, now at an increased range. In the midst of a fight, their fangs come into good use when ignoring armor of all kinds, allowing them to deal high damage to normally beefy targets. If a target is sent on the run, the Gorgonops can pick up on their scent and hunt them down until they’re caught. Sniffing out traps can ease raiding by helping raid parties avoid disaster. The main thing to note is that the Gorgonops isn’t a great fighter. It operates more as an ambushing assassin that ganks when opportunities present themselves. Directly involving themselves in battle leaves them vulnerable to creatures who fill those bruising roles better. Conclusion: If there is any creature that truly deserves to join the roster of ARK, it is the Gorgonops. Countless entries in previous submissions with a wide variety of ideas show that this creature can work! In the most popular map of ARK history, bringing back a scrapped creature, and a popular one at that, would give players the best gaming experience imaginable. Have fun, survivors! 16. The megacerops is a prehistoric rhino closely related to a horse surprisingly, which has been found by many palaeontologists over the years. It had a pair of blunt horns unlike our present day rhinos. So why have another rhino in ark? Well the woolly rhino is well as the name suggests woolly so I think it would be nice to have a variety of non woolly and woolly rhinos and for right now the paracer is the only thing related to rhinos, like how ankylosaurs are related to stegosaurs, plus the game needs more mammals so I think this would be a great addition to ark. Size: the megacerops was 2.5m tall and 4.6m long compered to the woolly rhinos size being 1.6 tall and 4m long Sorry I could not find an accurate size comparison of the woolly rhino. here is some pictures of the megacerops. Taming method: to tame the megacerops you must sneak up behind it and feed it berries or superior, exceptional or extraordinary kibble then you have to ride it, hunt down and kill carnivorous creatures to gain trust (omnivores can work) and once you kill enough you have your very own megacerops. Abilities: the megacerops has a wide variety of ability's which is listed here below. (1) a standard headbutt. (2) a charge dealing high damage to players and dinos. (3) when the megacerops uses this ability it tilts its head close to the ground and starts running wile it does it scoops up rocks from the ground with its large horns and after 10 seconds a small bolder is formed (the bolder begins to form when you start the ability) that weighs down the megacerops but can be launched dealing high damage to players, dinos and structures, if you charge into a player, structure or dino the bolder will break and deal more damage than the standard charge (the larger the bolder the more damage it deals but the less range it has). (4) megacerops will slightly crouch while tilting its head to take further reduced damage to the head by 30%, making its total reduced damage 45% to the head when crouched. (5) megacerops will passively take reduced weight for metal, stone, obsidian, crystal, flint and rockets. (6) megacerops will passively take 15% reduced damage to the head from projectiles. (7) when lower than 20% Hp the megacerops goes on an adrenaline rush and gain red eyes similar to the gigas rage mode, which kicks the rider of and makes the megacerops take 20% reduced damage and deal 15% more damage. while active the megacerops will deal damage to you, your tribe and your allies if you get to close to the attacks but it will focus on taking down anything that deals damage to it. Farming: the megacerops is efficient at gathering wood, thatch, berries, fibber and fungal wood and is decant at gathering cactus sap, rare flower and rare mushroom. Saddle: the megacerops has a standard hide saddle as well as a metal saddle which has a rocket launcher attached to it. I hope you like my submission .
  17. It me I back, time for a big dog Can't draw rn so this is the best I got Name - Amphicyon Monsthorax Period - Miocene Diet - Carnivore Temperament - Aggressive DOSSIER - WILD Found within the highest mountains and slopes of the ARK, Amphicyon Monsthorax is a colossal canine, a mix of Dire Bear and Dire Wolf with qualities both combining and separating itself from its close cousins. They're found in the absolute coldest norths of Ragnarok, particularly in the MurderSnow zones, feasting on Mammoths, Rhinos, and even other wolves.
  18. Hello Survivor! This concept is about the Fennec Fox in a scaled up version. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fennec_fox Behavior: The Giant Fennec Fox is aggressive no matter the time of day. In the morning and afternoon this creature spends its time in its sand burrow, but fear not as they are not like purlovias! However, they will still pop out of the ground to attack you, but they will only slow your creature, instead of dismounting and stunning you. I wanted to include this feature because I like the jump scare of getting grabbed by a purlovia. At night the Fennec will awake and trot around, if a deathworm is in radius it will go and attack the deathworm. If you initiate taming and it becomes morning, it will not restart the taming process, it will just ignore the fact that it's morning. Attacks; LMB: Simple Bite; deals 25% more damage to creatures that drop chitin, organic polymer, and spoiled meat RMB: Battle Cry; The Fennec yips a high pitch battle cry, which buffs its damage by 10%, and other tames ( not just other foxes) by 5%. Duration of 30 seconds, cooldown for 5 minutes. C Attack: The Fennec puts its ear to the ground and listens for deathworms. (The range for this ability is intended to be the same size as the Direwolf sniff.) X Attack: The Fennec sheds the deathworm horns it has been collecting, every 4 horns gives an item, and every horn gives a 2% chance for a good roll in the items. A good roll being; metal ingot, scrap metal ingot, polymer, oil, crystal, cementing paste, and it has a teeny chance to roll element, (at max horns it would only have a 0.05% of giving element.) Passive Ability: When a deathworm is killed by your Fennec a horn is given in your inventory, as well as adding on to its fur. Each horn that you collect gives you 0.25% defense, the limit of horns being 40. Therefore with some simple math, (0.25x40) you get a max of 10% defense. Dossier: Wild: The Velpes zurda looks a lot like the one on Earth, only bigger. It fits its part in the desert ecosystem, with it being the only creature to squabble with deathworms. When it brings deathworms down, it makes sure to collect the horn and snag it on its fur. Maybe this is for natural defense, or attracting a mate, I can't be certain. The Gian Fennec Fox also seems to be nocturnal, burrowing themselves in sand to protect itself from the blistering heat. Domesticated: Once you tame this giant fuzzy creature, it doesn't seem to be bothered by day or night. The bear a grudge against scorpions, mantis, and vultures. The Velpes zurda does seem to have a damage boosting yip, along with the ability to find deathworms with its ears. Taming: 1. Get chitin, organic polymer, or spoiled meat. 2. Drop one of these items on the ground. 3. Depending on the level it will will determine how many items it needs. Levels 1-50 Fennecs require 1 of the 3 items, 51-100 needing 2 of the 3 items, and 101-150 needing all 3 items. 4. It will allow you to mount it after the feeding and then you got 20 minutes to find and kill 1 of each creature listed; a scorpion, a vulture, a mantis, and a deathworm, note that any order is fine. 5. Taming effectiveness depends on your time taken to find and kill the creatures. The effectiveness will drop once 5 minutes are left, the lowest taming effectiveness you can get is 25%. 6. Once you have found and taken out all required creatures, you got yourself a Giant Fennec Fox Note: Again I say this but; If you initiate taming and it becomes morning, it will not restart the taming process, it will just ignore the fact that it's morning. I will take any suggestions in the comments, and will be happy to answer some questions!
  19. My idea for a new creature submission is the Olm i know we have diplocaulus and adding something that kinda looks like a mix of that and eels would be strange, but ark being ark this creature would be a litlle different from the real life counter part being more akin to the the creature from arcane, having a good all-terrain creature but faring better in deep sea enviroment So this animal known as olm is relatively similar to an axolots, this cave salamander is most notable for its adaptations to a life of complete darkness in its underground habitat. The olm's eyes are undeveloped, leaving it blind, while its other senses, particularly those of smell and hearing, are acutely developed. It also lacks any pigmentation in its skin. It has three toes on its forelimbs, but only two toes on its hind feet. It exhibits neoteny, retaining larval characteristics like external gills into adulthood, like some American amphibians, the axolotl and the mudpuppies Olm also has exceptional regeneration capabilities – it is even able to regrow an amputated limb So trying to not stray away from this abilities, the ark olm would be the same size as a Rock Drake so it could be ridable and look cool as heck, it would have a similar ability to parasaurs, it would also be a good oxygen supplier underwater, would regen like carchar, would create some sort of mucus that slow or depletes stamina from enemies and have a bite that either creates torpidity slowly or poisons the target depending how the player toggles it The breeding/eating patttern should be like a diplocaulus I know this creature submission looks a litlle bland compare to others but i dont draw that well and its my first post in this community XD If you think any changes can be made to the design or abillities, write in the comments, it would be great to create a creature most people tend to like and had a sugestion in the creation P.s: Also sorry if my english sucks, not my main language
  20. Good afternoon, survivors! After stumped on what to do for this contest, me and a fellow 'Retrosaur' loving friend have imagined the perfect counter to that pesky airborne virus that plagues the safe zones of every map.. May I present the wonderful, splendid looking and immaculately moisturized hadrosaur.. THE ANATOSAURUS! This is a concept of how I imagine the Anatosaurus to look like. Forum restrictions have butchered the quality though so apologies *A full dossier of the Anatosaurus is a work in progress* The Hadrosaurs are a family of dinosaurs that I hold close to my heart, and as an enjoyer of older depictions of these animals I thought that ARK could really do with another duckbill in its roster - and especially one with a twist like this.. Dossier Common Name: Anatosaurus Species: Anatosaurus hiruphagus Time: Late Cretaceous Diet: Omnivore Temperament: Neutral (Aggressive towards bug repellant) Wild: An oddity amongst its relatives the Anatosaurus behaves in a manner completely unlike ARK’s other ornithopods. They are native to the steamy swamps of Ragnarok’s southern quarter and possess an amphibious lifestyle, spending their days happily grazing upon aquatic vegetation and occasionally dousing their slimy bodies in mud to protect against the harsh sun. Coincidentally this behavior also acts as a form of medication, covering over open wounds and cleaning them of debris. This however is largely irrelevant, as at full maturity an Anatosaurus is too large to fall prey to predators with the exception of a lucky Sarcosuchus. Herds of Anatosaurus will often slumber peacefully upon riverbanks, their unique odor attracting droves of flies and other nasty insects. It is to be noted however that whilst a predominantly herbivorous creature an Anatosaur will never pass down an opportunity to devour its favourite treat, leeches - a craving that swamp dwelling survivors have learned to use in their favor. Domesticated: Due to their apparent disdain of bug-repelling gel, the act of taming an Anatosaurus is one fit for only the most daring of survivors. These strengthened few have been documented allowing leeches to suck onto them and then wading around until one of the hadrosaurs is drawn to the scent. With one of the parasites latched onto their body the survivor will find soon themselves in the clutches of a hungry hadrosaur, eager to lap down their offering. It is a lengthy process, but by no means is it worthless. Once tamed, Anatosaurus can make for robust beasts of burden within the territory of a developing tribe. Their use as a mount both above and below the water allows them to be utilized in a variety of tasks, namely aqueous foraging and exploration. Whilst not impeccably fast nor strong the hadrosaurs are capable of dealing with a variety of threats by either being steered by their jockey to fight, or to simply flee into the nearest lake or river and make an escape. However the most notable service an Anatosaurus can provide is, oddly enough, its viscous saliva, the production of which can be manipulated upon the animal's consumption of silica pearls. This fluid can, in moderation, be used as a stand in for leech blood in the production of the lesser antidote - an item of high demand in populous areas. Due to the potential obscurity of the ingame dossier, I feel it is best to formally chronicle Anatosaurus' taming method and usage here. TAMING Not unlike recent additions to the game the method of taming an Anatosaurus is quite different than your standard "knock-out-and -feed" creature. The way the player goes about obtaining this buffalo-like beast is quite engaging, as it requires a fairly coordinated plan as to not perish in the swamp's murky waters. Anatosaurus is by default a neutral creature, however in the presence of a player wearing bug repellant it will quickly grow to become hostile. This is because in order to gain its trust, you must feed the hadrosaur its favourite treat - the disgusting leeches - and to do so you must let the parasites latch onto you. With a leech (or multiple) on you, any Anatosaurus within a certain vicinity will grow attracted and make their way over. They will then reach forward and pick up the player and pluck the leech(es) off of you, before dropping you to the ground and carrying on. The more leeches on you, the more the taming bar increases, and proportionally as does the cooldown between feedings. Similar to other passive tames if the hadrosaur happens to take any creature or player induced damage then the bar will reset, however their large size does make it so that usual swamp life such as Titanoboa and Kaprosuchus rarely bother going after them. They will be attracted to you, though.. STATISTICS Since it is ultimately the devs' decision in case I hit a stroke of luck and get voted through I will not be going over specifics in stats for the Anatosaurus. I will provide a rough estimation made by my friend for it's base stats and spawn rates however, but take this with a grain of salt. (Stats at Level 1) Health - 500 Stamina - 200 Oxygen - 400 Food - 2500 Weight - 300 (Spawns) Only in swamps with a rate of 1 every 40 minutes. Doesn't get targetted by swamp animals with the exception of Sarcos but will be attacked by other non-swamp life upon getting close to them. USAGE Anato is all around a fairly decent mount that will serve a middle game tribe quite well in the exploration department. Its running speed is slightly slower than fellow ornithopod Iguanodon, however it burns through stamina much quicker. In the water however the Anatosaurus is capable of swimming around as fast as the Baryonyx, and its stamina consumption is decreased immensely. As for combat, it is the epitome of average. If need be an Anato can defend itself from smaller threats and is by no means defenseless, but when it comes to a pack of Allos or other larger theropod it is best to steer clear. It is because of this reason that it is advisable to stick within a brisk sprint to a water source to make an escape if nescessary. Anato would also possess two mouse abilities; a simple arm swipe tied to LMB, and a pick up for RMB. Now, onto Anatosaurus' main three abilities; the serendipitous slobber, carrying and its skin care rituals. MUD BATH Being an amphibious creature it made sense to give this Anato the ability to coat itself in wet sediment to give itself the aptly named 'Mud' buff. Preferably requiring you to be standing on ground close to water, an Anatosaurus can be whistled to give itself a luxurious dousing of mud that will temporarily grant it a 50% resistance to bleed as well as increased healing. The buff will last around 5 minutes at most and have a 10 minute cooldown in order to even it out. This ability will give it just that little bit more protection out in the field, plus you cannot lie that it fits the whole rompin' stompin' aura that this hadrosaur emits. When mounted this ability can be activated with at default the C key, and will grant the player a temporary heat resistance buff - the perfect dino to cool down on a hot summers' day! One thing to be noted however is that this mud coating will wear off as soon as you enter water. This is to encourage land exploration with the buff active. ANTIDOTAL SALIVA Have you ever logged in to a server only to find the spawn zones plagued with beach bobs spreading Swamp Fever to every last person who enters? Ever wished that there was a way to make the tedious process that comes with making the antidote.. A little less so? Well, those days are no more with a tamed Anatosaurus in your tribe! Due to living in one of the most revolting places known to man the Anatosaurus has grown unbothered with the mere concept of infections, and its craving for leeches has made it immune to the nasty pathogens found in the parasites' systems. It is because of this that the hadrosaur is a living cure for the scourge of Swamp Fever. It's bodily fluids are revered by tribes due to their medicinal properties, and its saliva in particular, which can be harvested from a tamed Anato's inventory roughly 10 seconds after feeding it a proportional number of silica pearls, which is placed in the hotbar and fed with "E". The cooldown is short, about 30 seconds. It is to be noted that high level Anatos require more pearls whilst low levels require less, so fairly standard. This saliva can be used as a substitute for leech blood in the recipe of lesser antidote vials, making the Anatosaurus an impeccably useful tame even long after its days of exploration are over in an apex level tribe. CARRYING Tying in to its use as an exploration mount the Anatosaurus possesses the charming ability to pick up smaller creatures and even certain structures in its webbed hands and bring them along on your escapades! Of course there is a limit for both, with the largest creature able to be carried being the player, and for structures it is the small item box. This means that the Anato would be useful as a means to set up temporary camps along your routes, or even assist in the moving of small tames and storage from one base spot to another. Whilst (hopefully) self explanatory, I thought I'd disclose the fact that when holding an object/creature, the Anatosaurus will not be able to use its LMB swipe attack. THANK YOU FOR READING! This submission WILL recieve minor updates in the coming days, but I hope you like this unique take on a (relatively) obscure dinosaur!
  21. (Massive Shoutout to the user TheCornSnake For his AMAZING suggestion of the weather effects, All credit goes to them. I've gona ahead and changed some of info to have it better fit the game mechanics. Happy Voting everyone!) (Added a Dossier! Sorry if it looks rushed, I have very little exeperience with gimp ^^;) Gorgonopsid Species: Gorgonops tempestomodus Time: Permian Diet: Carnivore Temperament: Weather-dependent Wild While traveling the dunes of the desert, I never once thought I would come face to face with a Gorgonops! The one that I had encountered was far larger than any on the fossil records. Though I was a bit perplexed as to why it didnt attack me outright. It wasnt until I kept a close eye that I noticed it seemed to change behavior depending on the weather condition. Extreme heat agitated it and seemed to gain an increase in power though it calmed down when it chased me towards an Oasis, Electrical storms frightened it and seemed to become even more passive, but sandstorms is where this beast really shined. Its coloration allowed it to seemlessly blend in with the storm itself. Absolutely marvelous! My best advice is to not be around the beast during the strange weather patterns. Curiously, this creature has a pention for hunting down the deadliest creature in the dunes, Deathworms Domesticated Taming a Gorgonops can be a rather finicky endevour. From what other survivors have told me, It can only be tamed during the weather events on this Ark. Strewth! But should you consider yourself lucky to tame one, you will find one of best mounts one could ask for. While tamed, the weather conditions seem to amplify certain aspects of the creature. Heatwaves give it more strength, health, and grant the rider protection from the harsh heat. During a thunderstorm, the beasts speed and stamina are greatly increased, allowing for a fast method of travel across the vast desert dunes. While Sandstorms give this creature the ability to camoflauge with the storm itself, giving both it and its rider the element of surprise on would be attackers. I've seen clever survivors using its scent ability to find Deathworms and Oasis' while out on their travels. Taming Gorgonops can only be tamed during a weather event, and the type of weather determines the method. While Deathworms are its favorite food, Dead or Alive, others types of meat will suffice. Ordinary Weather – Gorgonops is solitary and wont attack unless provoked. Make yourself appear as a worthy challenge by attacking it! It will then respond back with a roar, accepting your invitation. Impress this beast with you skills be they swords, guns, or your own two fists! Heatwave – Gorgonops is irritated and needs to cool down!! If you're fast enough, try leading it to an oasis! Drinking the water will calm it down, allowing you passive feed it deathworm horns and other types of meat Electrical storms – Gorgonops doesn’t like the lightning, it needs comforting! Give the creature some loving pats and feed it treats like raw meat and raw prime. Sandstorm – help Gorgonops fulfil its need to hunt. Should one lure it to Deathworms and aid it in battle, You will find this creature growing more fond of you and may ocassionally ask for treats! These treats will heal the creature and increase taming! Tamed Abilities While riding Gorgonops, the player receives increased heat insulation and reduced water drain, and will also receive no penalty from weather events: so no stamina drain during sandstorms, no damage taken during a heatwave, and can still use electrical weapons (while mounted) during an electrical storm. During normal weather conditions, I envisage Gorgonops to be an upper-middle tier carnivore. It’s main benefits would be the aforementioned passive buffs, as well as a sniff ability which detects buried animals (deathworms) and highlights nearby water sources. The scent ability could definitely be expanded based on other's suggestions. Weather changes gameplay… Heatwave – now more aggressive, Gorgonops has greater damage and health regen, and gains a modified bleed which targets stamina on tamed creatures and water/water regen on players. This is the fighting-form of the creature, and should be approximately equivalent to rex/spino in power. Electrical storm – Speed and stamina are now greatly increased. This is a traversal mode, and with the ability to keep using advanced weapons, might make a good scout. Sandstorm – Gorgonops does not lose stamina and gets a passive detection which highlights nearby creatures (thus alleviating the reduced visibility). It also gets a stealth mode, similar to the rock drake, representing its ability to camouflage itself within the storm. This would make the creature great for stalking and picking off stranded players and tames. However this can seen through things like the Parasaurus creature detection and outline through a Tek Helmet. Aditional notes: -You can breed them -Can you use them for boss fights? Of course you can! -Whats the size of this lad? Well I imagine it being somwhere around the size of a Shadowmane. Possibly be somewhat larger. -Wouldnt this guy be useless on other maps? Not necesarily! Even without its unique abilities Gorgonops can still be a powerhouse should it be included on other maps. -Similar to creatures like the Megatherium, Calicotherium, and Shadowmane, I envision this creature to have unique idle animations and and like the megatherium and shadowmane it can be told to lay down. -If other information needs to referenced for the creature he is the Wikipedia page: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inostrancevia.
  22. Name: Melanorosaurus Time: Triassic Diet: Herbivore Temperament: Docile The melanorosaurus is an early Triassic sauropodomorph that can hold and create its own water. The creature would naturally graze on cacti in the center of the Scorched desert. When tamed, this creature would store water in its large hump as it consumes cactus, used later for consumption. it could be tamed by feeding it a unique item crafted from cactus and sap, two materials any player can get on Scorched. The usefulness of this dinosaur would be comparable to a morellatops, with the gathering of water and berries. This dinosaur would be a wonderful way to travel around as it would allow near-infinite water and wouldn't need to stop at water veins or the river like the morellatops. Wild: This creature would utilize Ark SA's new foliage mechanics to automatically consume and harvest cactus. The more cactus it eats, the more taming effectiveness the player would gain. Once enough cactus is consumed, the player can feed it a "Sticky Salsa" made from cactus and sap from Joshua trees. Ability: As this creature eats cactus sap, it will generate water. The conversion would be around 10 sap per 1 water. This would allow for survivors to travel away from the center of the map and not be limited by the water veins scattered about. You could gather a large amount of sap and travel to areas such as the dunes or mountains and not need to worry about gathering water in canteens.
  23. The Tyrrhenian Mole is an exinct species of mole first described in 1945 by Dorothea Bate and believed to have survived until the Pleistocene. There are few fossils, a full skeleton has never been found or constructed. Although it is believed to look similar to the European variant. - - Locally known simply as Mole(s) or to one survivor Kret(ów), that one survivor being the one who first discovered them on the Scorched Earth Ark. The size much greater than their alive cousins would roughly be that of a Trike, with a single rider saddle being unlocked at around level 47, the saddle having glasses to help the moles to see. It would be able to do a primary bite attack being the fastest attack but doing slightly less damage and a secondary swipe attack which would attack far slower but deal more damage and harvest more delicate materials from corpses. The third attack button for the Tyrrhenian Mole would be to burrow, when burrowed they would use stamina and oxygen, this would be faster than walking for them (being faster than the basalisk's burrowing), allow them topassively gather sand and when the first primary attack button is pressed jump out the ground and do a belly flop similar to the Maewing. To exit burrowing without attacking pressing the 3rd attack button would do it. Their saddle would be similar to a Magmasaur's where it is an enclosed area made of glass, possibly to see the sand passing by when digging. Their claws now grown massive and hardend immeasurably when compared to their non-exctinct cousins can rend stone, only being able to gather sand due to how quickly they destroy it , as they have become attuned sand they hold it at 85% reduced weight. Slight damage buff against death worms, moles do eat worms. Their taming method would be to first find them out in the dunes burrowing around, and then detonated an explosion above them the tremours caused by even a grenade cause them to be stunned poking their faces to the surface where they can be passive fed meat or Regular kibble. They have been seen having a weakness to fire (Maybe a 15% increase in damage to them, probably higher), to counteract this wild Tyrrhenian Moles burrow as the shifting sands they dig in suffocate out the fire, a survivor riding a tamed one can also use similar tactics. Although it seems that it takes a while for the fires to die down so caution should be taken as one would not want to be trapped under the sands due to them letting their moles get roasted. - - Sorry for bad illustrations, I do not know how to draw online or on paper well.
  24. As you know, in Ark we have the Titanomyrmas that we always find in the ecosystem, they only appear to bother us at the beginning of the game. These annoying ants do not have a single function in the game, other than being sacrificed to get their chitin.but now with Queen Titanomyrma they can be useful:Queen TitanomyrmaA queen always has to have subjects that follow her everywhere, either to defend her or to get resources for her. The arrival of the Queen Titanomyrma in the Ark is perfect to bring order and put to perfect use the lost normal titanomyrmas that wander aimlessly through the forests.Wild: they will be found in where many resources abound, these queens will always be found within their anthills, if any creature approaches them, whether hostile or not, a small army of tytanomyrmas will come out of the anthill (flying and not flying) to get rid of it.Tame: - Option 1: Although getting closer will be a bit difficult, with the help of the queen bee's honey we will be able to get closer to the anthill, we just have to throw the honey in a place and the whole army of ants will go after it. The queen Titanomyrma will see your goodness by not killing any of her subjects and she will begin to trust you, she will come out of the anthill and you can have her on your shoulder, the wild ants will not attack you, here begins the taming: you must start killing the enemy natural of all Ark insects: The Megatherium. Once several megatherios have been killed, the queen will have placed all her trust and will decide to be your adventure companion.- Option 2: Approaching the anthill, killing the entire army of ants that comes out of there, and mercilessly destroying the anthill, this will make the Queen Titanomyrma storm out, determined to attack you, continuously taking out minions that will drain your stamina with each attack. Once we manage to kill the ant queen, we will have a chance to get an egg from her inventory, which if we incubate it well, will result in a Queen Titanomyrma larva.Domesticated: PVP: - The queen Titanomyrmas, once tamed, can climb on their owner's shoulder and when ordered to do so, they can release pheromones that will attract all the wild titanomyrmas that are nearby, putting them under their control. When the pheromones wear off, the titanomyrmas will revert to their original state and become hostile.- Also the Queen Titanomyrmas can create their own minions, from time to time, which can drain the stamina of our enemies and make them slow, this will serve as a lot of support when we are in the middle of a fight with another tribe and they have fast dinosaurs and ours are slow.- anthill mode : anthill modelike the queen bee it can become a honeycomb or hive. The queen titanomyrma can become an anthill, it will have 2 modes:- The first mode will be the turret mode, which will help in some way to defend the base by continually taking out ants, they will not drain stamina with each attack but they will reduce speed and health by a small percentage.- The second mode is the farm mode, which I will explain in the pve part.PVE:- Option 1: The farm mode is simple, when the queen is in the form of an anthill, she can be told to farm all the resources in the area (the queen will order her subjects to do so and the resources will appear in the anthill's inventory) but in quantities it will be very small when we collect them ourselves with our hands, this mode will also make trees, bushes, rocks, metal and any other resource appear faster as the Stryders do, of course you could also indicate some specific resource that we want it to collect.- option 2: instead of collecting resources, they just collect all the products of the crops of our farms.
  25. The Protamandua Would be a non aggressive creature that would be the size of a dire wolf and would spawn wide open areas that are quite hot. Taming. The anteater would be tamed passively by feeding it chitin. At 50% you would follow it to insects. Once you get there you would have to kill some of the ants and drag the body to the anteater to tame it. Stats Health: 350 Stamina: 200 Oxygen: 200 Food: 1200 Wight: 200 Melee Damage: 200 Tamed It wouldn't need a saddle after taming. When tamed the anteater would gather cementing paste when killing: mantis, dung beetles, meganeura, etc. similar to the beelzebufo. it would also have ability to sniff out bugs to kill. It also gets a buff when fighting bugs similar to the megatherium.
