DINO LOOT EDIT2: This guide assumes a basic level of knowledge for overriding Ark loot beacon drops. The following lists can be used with the code for custom beacon modifications in the game.ini file. For example: This will overwrite your basic white beacon - ConfigOverrideSupplyCrateItems=(SupplyCrateClassString="SupplyCrate_Level15_C".... This will overwrite the Rex inventory loot drop - ConfigOverrideSupplyCrateItems=(SupplyCrateClassString="DinoDropInventoryComponent_Carnivore_Huge_Rex_C".... For more info on this: https://survivetheark.com/index.php?/forums/topic/65930-tutorial-modify-loot-crate-contents-v242/ OK this started off with a chat I had with Normanbatez on the Beaconapp.cc discord a while back regarding dino loot. I did a bit of testing back then but also had very limited success. Then I stumbled across a link to a german loot config editor http://www.nipiro.de/ark_crates_beta.php - which allowed me to narrow my search and hit paydirt: https://translate.google.com.au/translate?hl=en&sl=de&u=https://arkforum.de/index.php%3Fthread/11952-anleitung-loot-bestimmter-dinos-anpassen/&prev=search They didn't however have everything, so I had to work a fair few out for myself. EDIT- Thankyou to redditor /u/paulkravis/ for digging these out of the devkit! - Leeds DinoDropInventoryComponent_Carnivore_Huge_Leed_C - Alpha Leeds DinoDropInventoryComponent_Carnivore_Huge_Leed_Alpha_C - Basilo DinoDropInventoryComponent_Basilo_C - Thyla DinoDropInventoryComponent_Carnivore_Medium_Thylaco_C - Theriz DinoDropInventoryComponent_Carnivore_TickleChicken_C Only one is now the Ice Wyvern for Ragnarok. CAVEATS Ok the key as TreeZenDE at arkforum.de worked out was the minimum number of item sets in the loot source is 2 - less than 2 item sets and the loot won't work. This is because these aren't normal loot containers and we are sorta hacking into them. So we don't have total control over the loot, but we can make stuff we want drop (with varying degrees of success). GENERIC DINO CONTAINERS Most dinos use the generic loot tables. It's a 30% chance for the container to drop for all of them except Tiny, which is a 1% drop (I don't actually know if Tiny actually works as it's difficult to test). TINY: dilo, micro, ovi, trodon DinoDropInventoryComponent_Carnivore_Small_Dilo_C SMALL: Araneo, Onyc, Electro, Kapro, Raptor, Terrorbird. DinoDropInventoryComponent_Carnivore_Small_C MEDIUM: Angler, Bary, Dire, Saber, Scorpion, Thyla, Thorny DinoDropInventoryComponent_Carnivore_Medium_C LARGE: Allo, Arthro, Carno, Dimetrodon, Boa, Megalo, Sarco DinoDropInventoryComponent_Carnivore_Large_C HUGE: Giga, Spino, Wyvern, Dodorex DinoDropInventoryComponent_Carnivore_Huge_C FIREWORKS: mosa, plesi, spino DinoDropInventoryComponent_Fireworks_C HERBIVORES Sauropods: Bronto, Diplo, Titan DinoDropInventoryComponent_Carnivore_Huge_Sauro_C (Note: This is the tribute container, so you must include Sauropod Vertebrae or it won't drop) DinoDropInventoryComponent_Rhino_C CARNIVORES The bulk of these seem to have their loot containers because they drop tribute items. With some they may replace tribute items or limited items will drop. DinoDropInventoryComponent_Carnivore_Small_Leech_C DinoDropInventoryComponent_Mantis_C DinoDropInventoryComponent_Carnivore_Tusoteuthis_C (Note: partial 1/2 loot. also dropped pearls and substrate) DinoDropInventoryComponent_Carnivore_Huge_Rex_C DinoDropInventoryComponent_Carnivore_Large_Argentavis_C DinoDropInventoryComponent_Carnivore_Huge_Mega_C DinoDropInventoryComponent_Carnivore_Large_Allo_C DinoDropInventoryComponent_Carnivore_Huge_Gigant_C DinoDropInventoryComponent_Carnivore_Megalania_C DinoDropInventoryComponent_Carnivore_Large_Sarco_C DinoDropInventoryComponent_Carnivore_Huge_Spino_C DinoDropInventoryComponent_Carnivore_Large_Boa_C DinoDropInventoryComponent_Carnivore_Huge_Yuty_C DinoDropInventoryComponent_Carnivore_Huge_FireWyvern_C DinoDropInventoryComponent_Carnivore_Huge_LightningWyvern_C DinoDropInventoryComponent_Carnivore_Huge_PoisonWyvern_C DinoDropInventoryComponent_Carnivore_Deathworm_C DONT WORK YET - (These exist but aren't connected up yet. I'm guessing placeholder for event loot) DinoDropInventoryComponent_Carnivore_Vulture_C DinoDropInventoryComponent_RockGolem_C ALPHAS Some of these will deposit the loot straight into your inventory, others need to be looted. DinoDropInventoryComponent_Carnivore_Mega_Mosa_C DinoDropInventoryComponent_Carnivore_MegaCarno_C DinoDropInventoryComponent_Carnivore_AlphaTusoteuthis_C DinoDropInventoryComponent_Carnivore_Mega_Rex_C DinoDropInventoryComponent_Carnivore_DeathwormAlpha_C (Also the ICEWORM QUEEN on Rag) DinoDropInventoryComponent_Carnivore_Mega_Raptor_C DinoDropInventoryComponent_Carnivore_Mega_Megalodon_C DinoDropInventoryComponent_Carnivore_Huge_MegaFireWyvern_C (Note: worked but onlt gave 2/3 item sets.also dropped trib and milk) RAGNAROK DUNGEON MINI-BOSSES DinoDropInventoryComponent_Carnivore_DeathwormAlpha_C (You are somewhat limited in how much loot you can make drop) DinoDropInventoryComponent_LavaGolem_jackson_C (from normanbatez on the Beacon Discord) ENJOY AND SHARE At this stage not too much testing has been done. But I can say I have made these dinos spawn test drops (I made them drop element and element shards to test). I used https://beaconapp.cc/ to test this and I'll be publishing a blank preset for Ragnarok though the app that others can download and use. In the meantime for the lazy, I've uploaded a savefile with the dinos containers added on the Beaconapp.cc dev Discord. I hope this helps out my fellow PC admins, but this is really meant as a gift to our console brethren who can't use mods yet. Hope it helps guys. (This is also posted on the playark subreddit, but thought I'd chuck it up here as well) Edit: typo and missed a .

Remove Force Engram Page on Level Up Is there some way either thru the game ini or thru a mod that I cant seem to find that would stop the game from taking you to the engram page after allocating points after leveling up? So when you have a level up you spend the point and then you can get out of the menu without it taking you to the engram page. I run a server with some hidden engrams and want to remove more due to overlapping mod items but once you get so many things hidden the game lags when opening up the engram page and so when leveling up you get the lag and so ive let the idea go but want to know if there was a way to avoid the freeze after level up. All engrams are auto learned on my server so other than to see the level of something there is no need to open the page otherwise. Any help would be appreciated!

Filepath for game ini files/Item stack size So I’m not very knowledgeable as far as coding and computers go, I basically know how to install mods and use console commands. Im new to ark, I’m trying to increase the stack size for items like raw meat, berries, wood, etc for easier sorting. So I host a non dedicated server on my laptop and using my Xbox gamer tag to play with my girlfriend while she’s on my Xbox on her account. I understand mods can’t be used for Xbox, and the Xbox probably couldn’t connect to the server if I had mods enabled. I understand that game and player ini files can be adjusted to tweak values and such of basically everything in the game and im assuming that an Xbox can connect to a server that has been adjusted from a pc? Anyways I have no idea how to find ark on my pc. Yes I know it sounds dumb but I don’t have it on steam, (that would be too easy) it’s a windows app through the store, can’t find the file path. No it’s not in c users windows, no I can’t search for ark or wildcard or shootergame etc. I already know what to copy&paste, not sure where though once I get into the game ini settings. I just want to adjust the item stack size (without adjusting things that don’t already stack) AND GET RID OF THE FKING TETHER! thanks I’m losing my mind trying to figure this out.

Adding Notes to INI File Would be nice if notes can be added to INI file using ";" prefix without having them delete on server boot-up Would be handy for these comments to remain to allow coders to seperate and organise their codes

Need to find game files to upload to Nitrado
PaleoJoe posted a topic in Dedicated Server Discussions
I am scouring the Internet for the right .ini file or whatever it is I need. I keep finding outdated documents from two years ago, or videos in German. I pre-ordered a server for Xbox. I want to do more custom stuff, which involved changing up engrams and per-species dinosaur stats, as well as supply drops and bosses. I cannot find any of that information. The best I can get is like two lines of cost someone needed help with, and that is it. Would anyone know of a dropbox, website, or video to help me out here? Thank you.- 32 replies
