  1. Invisible Wild Dinos

    I've found this to be a common issue with console players. but this is the first I'm seeing of the ice worms. Ice wyverns don't show up at all and neither do their eggs. When found they appear as a simple item cache bag in the nest and appear invisible within your inventory. I tried doing the ice cave for the first time on this player dedicated server and had invisible things attacking me with just the name above it and nothing infront of me, even though I'm still able to attack it. Are the devs aware of this bug and will there ever be a fix to this??
  2. The ice wyverns are invisible on my player dedicated server. You can spawn them in amd see them if you spawn them when you turn the server on. But anyone who joins after is unable to see them. I have reset my server several times and the issue keeps occuring. There are also no wild ice wyverns on the server either

  4. Future expansion??

    Would love to see a future expansion as a ice map with ice golems and ice wraith(?) yetis also skiing and ice skating should be a thing and beeing able to build iglos perhaps also ice fishing and sleds on the megaloceros but prevent transfer to that server in the begining so people cant just put down huge metal/tek bases only beeing able to transfer out like SE had in the begining
  5. Ice Map & Smelly People

    Ice Map & Smelly People Two things I would like to see in ARK. 1. A map of an Ice World. Just like we had a hot scorched earth map, it would be fun to have an opposite freezing ice World map. 2. It would be funny if the characters after a while started to smell and have this green smelly fog emanating from their arm pits when they get to smelly and it could drop the health a bit until they used soap to clean themselves.

    Opposite Scorched Earth DLC?! We need more DLC and Scorched earth made everything a lot more fun.. HOWEVER. I was thinking of a opposite version of Scorched, Possible taming Yeti's, Ice dragons that shoot cryogenic blasts! and do stunning damage!, Pick axes that allows you to climb over high terrain. & so on. I was thinking of introducing Mythical cold creatures like how the Wyverns and Golems are used. It would be awesome to see it switched in a whole new different biome of the opposite.

  9. New Resource: Ice Blocks

    This would be useful on Primitive, but it would also provide a means to turn any container into a refrigerator! In Snow biomes/caves, you can harvest Ice Blocks, which while very heavy (comparable to metal), will give a refrigeration effect to all objects within any inventory. An Ice Block will stack in units of 100, and has a relatively high spoilage rate, but a full stack will last at least half a day (12 hours). The advantages of this are huge. Place it in a feeding trough, your meat won't spoil as quickly. Place it in your dino's inventory, you can preserve all that Prime Meat you're gathering without rushing back home to cook it! You could even add a new structures like an Icebox and a Cooling Fan that utilize this resource as Primitive fridges and AC units. Using these specialized units would reduce the Ice Blocks spoilage rate as well. The refrigeration efficiency would be less than the Preserving Bin, due to the ability to turn any container into a refrigerator. So it'd be Player < Dinosaur < Feeding Trough < Storage Box With Ice Cubes < Preserving Bin < Refrigerator If on a primitive server, it could be Player < Dinosaur < Feeding Trough < Storage Boxes w/ Ice Blocks < Preserving Bin < Icebox = Cooling Fan
  10. Since you asked Here ar a few of my current musings on Ark Survival Evolved. Bones! Where are all the dead dino bones!!! This IMO is a serious omission to the Ark map. There should be tons of bones from all manner of dino, mammal, sea creature littering the map. This adds the spectre of things to come for an explorer, and would add greatly to the immersion aspect of the game. On Game Intro: When I first started to play the game and became aware that I should use my fists to harvest wood after instinctively having picked up a rock to use as a primative axe, I thought immediately - that this could be improved. The first tool should be a sharp rock to (albeit inefficiently) harvest wood and thatch - not your fist (owch!) Icy dicey: This was crutial to the industrial revolution and made virtually uninhabitable areas of the Earth survivable. See Ice trade. Ice as commodity - for primative fridge/coldbox and when melted a source of pure (revitalizing) drinking water. Reduces heat on player. Afinity mode for local wild dinos: The more times you enter the dino's sphere, prior to taming - the more easily they become tameable. Affinity zone size could be player configurable to offset any performance hit. New Flight mode: A parachute style glide mode for some flyers would add a new dynamic and more realistic element to flight. Rangefinder: Can save a lot on ammo resources if you have an angle degree readout on artillery/cannon as well as a means of distance measure. Helpful for consistancy in shots with bows and rifles.
  11. Disappearing Giga

    So I tamed a new Giga single player and made a rookie mistake- before i could bring her home to slap a node on her she fell through that broken glacier ice bit chasing rexes and was stuck in the water between the ice bits. After fiddling around to get her out I thought, well maybe since it is a glitch that she is stuck at all I could restart single player and she will appear above the ice. This did not happen. She is gone. My tribe log does not say she died, I checked all over the area. I'm such a bad owner! Has this happened before and is there a fix?
  12. Developers have done a great job. HOWEVER, how in the hell can such a team create so much, yet make such errors by NOT enabling a control to UN'STICK dino's from places on the map that should NEVER have been created and released prior to testing??? How many more reports must we see from fellow survivalists becoming frustrated to the point of wishing they had never purchased the game?
  13. Flying Dinosaur Follow Suggestions

    Firstly, let me say that I can't even imagine how complicated it is to program the ability for us to soar gloriously around an island on the back of a giant flying beast so thank you for making one of my childhood dreams a reality. That said, can we get the flying dinosaurs to give us a little more space when they're on follow? I've fallen in love with the Argentavises but like the Pteranodons before them, I can't get any work done unless I lead them somewhere away from me and disable following. Which regularly leads to one of them getting killed if I leave them on passive, or lost if I leave them on anything other than passive, (sometimes lost even on passive, as I spent an hour last night trapped a long ways from basecamp trekking by foot to gather enough resources to tame and saddle a new flyer so I could fly high enough to whistle to the two that somehow ended up floating in place ((on passive, following/wandering both disabled)) so high above where I left them that my whistle couldn't reach them). A lot of that could be avoided if I could leave them on follow and have them follow like the non-flying dinosaurs, instead of them constantly pushing me out of or trapping me in my current position as soon as I stop moving. On a different note, I've also had a lot of trouble getting any of my argentavises to willingly land on ice sheets without my personally saddling them & landing them. Otherwise when I disable following they continue to hover and occasionally drift around as if they're still looking for a place to land. This gets dangerous when they drift too close to and catch the attention of a pack of direwolves or out past the edge of the ice where I can no longer reach them to mount or re-enable following without going in the water and risking becoming a megalodon snack.
  14. Our level 99 TRex got stuck moving in the ice and he couldn't get out. We tried everything. The only way we got him out, after about 20 minutes, was to build a few wooden foundation which he stopped onto and he barely got out.
