  1. Reason: The idea behind it was an animal that can accompany you from start to finish. We think Ark doesn't need another endgame animal that can do everything and is unbeatable. We want a good friend and faithful companion in all situations. And that's why he's here now: The aincent Wolfhound. Survivors best friend and best buff supporter ever! (idea by Dextro23 -> German ARK YouTuber Dossier: Wild: Canis lupus familiaris has been man´s best friend for thousands of years. So I´m not surprised to find him on the Ark. The Survivors here simply call him Wolfhound. Like his relatives today, he is an extremely faithful and loyal companion who can be found almost everywhere, because of his high adaptability. Despite his size, he is nor strong enought to be ridden. However, with the right saddlebags, it turns out to be capable of carrying quite a lot of commodities. Domesticated: The Wolfhound has become the perfect companion for Survivors. Well trained, he can handle almost any situation. On my journey I met a master at it: His Animals were able to give him an advantage in almost any situation. Be it finding him everywhere with the help of a whistle, warning and defending him from Attackers or protecting him from heat and cold. They hunt reliably and independently in the vicinity of their owner and develop enormous strenght when it comes to defending their master from Wolves or Bears. Above all, his most outstanding ability is being exactly what he has always been. A faithful and reliable friend for all Survivors! Buffs/Skills: Once tamed, he is the ideal companion for every project. He is not rideable, but has saddlebags (weight reduction of 15%, from Lv15) He give various buffs and benefits on his survivor: "Heel": The wolfhound gets everywhere with the help of a whistle, no matter where you are. Did you leave him in base but now need his help or skills just blow the whistle and he will find you. (the whistle is crafted in his inventory; he only listens to this whistle) "Here I am": At a signal with the whistle you can make him bark, which gives animals up to Carno size a lower aggro range and makes them less likely to attack. "Attention": Are you currently farming or taming and don't get what's happening around you? No problem: Your wolfhound is always alert and will start to rumble if an animal tries to attack you. "Hunter": If you hold the whistle in your hand and whistle to attack, you will see a circle radius. Anything in this area will be attacked, killed and farmed by your Wolfhound. (gains bonus of hide and meat) "Playful": You are traveling with your friends and you both have a wolfhound. Then enjoy the peace and watch how the two play with each other from time to time (little animation) "Best Freind": Whoever raised/tamed him gets a boost to defense and attack in his vicinity. On top of that, it will protect you from cold and heat. Whether in the desert or in the snow, the wolfhound at your side will always look out for your well-being. "Territory Hunter": Like the dogs of old time, this one is unbeatable when it comes to hunting down wolves and bears. He will gain increased defense while fighting this and his attacks will do more damage. (which also makes him an unbeatable companion for the dungeons in Ark So how do you become the proud owner of a wolfhound? Taming is relatively easy (after all, he's supposed to be by your side from the start) All you need is grilled meat (he especially loves that) The meat is put on an arrow and shot near the animal. (Caution: untamed, he is aggressive towards humans, although his range is quite small) When he has eaten the first piece of meat, you gain his trust and can go to him. Then just have some grilled meat on the last slot and crouch and approach him head-on. If he sits down in front of you and lets his tongue hang out, he is ready to be fed. On the other hand, if you have weapons or something similar in your hand, he will attack.
  2. ORCINUS PALEORCA Dossier: “Orcinus Paleorca might appear closely related to the other dolphins and whales of the Ark’s oceans, but it’s certainly not as friendly. Orcinus is a fearsome pack hunter, often forming pods of up to eight individuals, in order to hunt the largest prey in the deep, dark ocean of The Center. These Orcas are agile, powerful hunters that easily hunt Megalodon, tearing off Prime Fish as easily as I could pick a flower. Their teeth seem perfectly adapted to carving their prey, and their thick skin makes them immune to all bio-electricity! Taming Orcinus is difficult, as they cannot be knocked out when surrounded by fellow Orcinus. One must be lured away or trapped, and the pod must be lured away – difficult due to their loyalty to one another! If tamed, they can be fed bio-toxin to activate their bioluminescent capabilities, turning Orcinus into an underwater flashlight! A tamed pod is a force to be reckoned with, and never stray too far from each other. They are highly intelligent, and I’ve seen them care for baby sea creatures with an aggression not yet matched by any other animal on the Ark!” Image at the bottom! Art by @gregsavvidesart - give him a websearch! -------------- Orcinius Paleorca – the bioluminescent bunch of buddies! This creature is designed to be the Allosaurus of the sea – fun on its own, but downright terrifying in a pod. Orca are top predators in our oceans (Screw you yachts!) and can always be found in a pod, preying on sharks, whales, and anything and everything else. The Orcinus will be your go-to sea tame; powerful and fast, with a focus on solo scouting and defensive capabilities to ensure Megalodon aren’t a threat, along with jellies and those blasted eels. Orcinus is fun on its own, but grab some tribemates and hop on other Orcinus, and you’ll see the benefits! The leader gets a buff which boosts other Orcinus attack rating by 10%, and increases their swim speed by a flat 15%! This applies to both ridden and unridden Orcinus, and you can easily command your fellow Orcinus to attack a target while you stay back. The ocean is a scary place on Ark, and you never know what’s lurking round the next rock stack. Thankfully, the Orcinus Paleorca have evolved to sense the largest creatures in the ocean, so prepare to be pinged like the Parasaur radar whenever they sense the fiery charge of an Alpha creature! They can toggle on a flashlight mode when loaded with bio-toxin, creating a large area of light akin to the mining helmet but more powerful! No more dark, lonely dives!! Wild Orcinus are relatively peaceful creatures when it comes to Survivors; they’re smart enough to know harpoons hurt! Whilst they wont necessarily attack swimmers out at sea, any act of aggression will bring the pod down on you, and good luck surviving that assault! Tamed Orcinus are particularly loyal to not only their rider, but to their young. They see any tamed baby sea creature as their own, and they can be set to “patrol” the area around a specific baby; this will make them enter aggression mode, and they’ll seek out anything that’s a threat within range and tear it to pieces before they even aggro your baby. They’ll then return to the baby and keep watch while you do you. The Orcinus’ eye patches lights up in the dark ocean, to act as a natural light down in the deep! Whilst this isn’t necessarily accurate, the Ark has strange ways of changing a creature! This would be infinitely useful when down in the ocean at night, as the pitch-black waters will be a little less scary with a helpful nightlight…or eight!! The deep ocean will no longer be a scary, lonely, dark place with these guys around, so long as you have plenty of bio-toxin!!
  3. The prionosuchus was the biggest amphibian in our world and in the ark it wouldn't be different but we're back to the subject and we'll talk about its nature (Image by Thomas Sutton) Wild: The prionosuchus multum is an amphibian unlike any other with its size approaching the length of a megalodon this giant of the subterranean swamps of the aberration prefers to hunt like sarcosuchus but not to be confused they are not in the same family so unlike its reptilian counterpart it has energy for great runs and excellent attacks this great predator has a skull of almost 1.80 m and its attacks are voracious Taming method: Approach the prionosuchus feeding him fish to calm him down remember to always feed him every 15 seconds he will die a violent death with him holding you in his jaws and you hitting nearby rocks while calming him down climb on the back of this beast and ride it like a mechanical bull after a while the prionosuchus will get tired and respect you for having beaten him and now you will have a big predator by your side Tamed and Wild Skills Rotation: makes a spin similar to that of the sarcus Ravenous attack: when taking the target in the mouth, it starts to hit that target in a stone or nearby tree attack that that target dies Bleed: applies a bleed effect to large creatures Bioluminescence: This ability allows Prionosuchus to avoid creatures that dislike bright light Luminous Tail: This skill brings a tail attack that temporarily stuns and blinds the enemy Saddle Skills: Prionosuchus has two types of saddles, a normal one that also works as a mortar and pestle and a tek one that adds 2 new attacks Element Bite: Holding the right mouse button with the tek saddle equipped charges an attack that when fully charged does 200% more than normal damage Elemental Propulsion: This ability allows Prionosuchus to quickly dash forward on land vote for this wonderful temnospondyl
  4. Hello, this is my idea for the ark ascended aberration creature vote; The atophaurus. The atophaurus is an amphibian like creature that has the size of a yutyranus and swims through the colorfull rivers of aberration (but only where there is radiation). I created this creature with the idea of making exploring and farming easier in aberration. It´s design is based on salamanders, the jurassic park dilophosaur and Zedus the main monster antagonist from Gamera the brave. Dossier : Common name : Atophaurus Species : Atophaurus nuclei Time : unknown Diet : carnivore Temperament : agressive Wild: The Atophaurus is a silent predator that lives in rivers in the dephts of aberration where it spends time absorbing radiation to attack it's prey. It's behavior is like the behavior of a komodo dragon, it spits a goo that is a mix of radiation and it's salliva, and then it waits untill the efects of the radiation kill the poor creature that after a few seconds falls in the ground. Another peculiar behavior of this creature is a type of ecolocation like the one bats do, walking by the swamp you can found the strange gooey things i mentioned early, but don't get too close because they are like radars and if you're close to the blob the Atophaurus can see you. Tamed: It might seem strange that a creature like this can be tamed, but with a radiation proof suit and a fast creature to dodge the atomic spits, you can make it unconscious and feed it meat (or any kind of gem for some reason if you want it to go faster). And now that you got your Atophaurus! It can do many intresting things, like locate items; just spit the atomic goo in the ground and then select on the Atophaurus inventory what item you want to locate and it will focus in the goo and see the soroundings, and if the item is near the goo it will be evidenced, this also work with creatures but you need to select a related item like a seddle or a costume or special item (attention, some creatures are atracted to the goo, like achatinas, bulbdogs and ravages). You can also make radioactive arrows, just harvest the Atophaurus goo to get liquid radiation and after that mix it with whatter in the pestle to make radioactive arrows. The Atophaurus can also protect you from radiation, when riding or near the atophaurus you are not afected by radiation. And last but not least the glow explosion, when you're Atophaurus has low health or when both of you are in danger the Atophaurus will make a brillant radioactive explosion to escape the situation. Details: The Atophaurus saddle is made on level 60, the goo detects things in a distance as large as diplodocus, you can only use 5 goo at time, and sorry about the drawings, i don't know how to draw in the computer.
  5. Herrerasaurus would be a mid game Dino that would make the mid game of ark more interesting with its unique gimmicks Wild Herrerasaurus would spawn in All maps as it would fit in well in all. 6. Wolf spider aberration Dossier: Wolf Spider Common Name: Wolf Spider Species Name: Lycosidae Diet: Carnivore Temperament: Aggressive Wild: The Wolf Spider, known scientifically as Arachnus cavernus, is a fearsome and predatory creature that resides in the depths of Aberration's hazardous cave systems. Its striking appearance and venomous capabilities make it a formidable opponent for any survivor who dares to venture into its territory. Arachnus cavernus has adapted to the dark and treacherous cave environment, utilizing its agile movements and keen senses to navigate with ease. Its jet-black exoskeleton blends seamlessly with the shadows, allowing it to remain undetected until it strikes with lethal force. Despite its aggressive nature, the Wolf Spider plays a crucial role in the cave ecosystem. It preys upon smaller creatures, helping to maintain a balance within the population dynamics of Aberration's underground world. Domesticated: Taming the Wolf Spider is a challenging but rewarding endeavor. Its aggressive temperament requires a survivor to approach with caution and patience. By nurturing spiderlings from collected egg sacs, you can raise these creatures from birth and gradually build a bond of trust and companionship. Once tamed, the Wolf Spider becomes a loyal and formidable ally. Its venomous bite and web-trapping abilities make it a versatile hunter and defender. Survivors who form a strong connection with the Wolf Spider will have a reliable companion capable of providing protection and assistance in the harsh cave environment. Description: The Wolf Spider, known as Arachnus cavernus, is a formidable and enigmatic creature that inhabits the depths of Aberration's treacherous caves. Following the cataclysmic events of the Ark's explosion, this species experienced an unprecedented mutation, resulting in its remarkable growth to the size of a Rock Drake. This monstrous arachnid now commands attention with its imposing stature and intimidating presence. Taming the Wolf Spider: Preparation: Gear up: Equip yourself with appropriate armor, weapons, and tools for navigating the hazardous zone of Aberration. Light source: Ensure you have a reliable light source to navigate the dark cave environment. Supplies: Bring ample food, water, and healing items to sustain yourself during the taming process. Locating the Spider: Journey into the hazard zone of Aberration, specifically the darkest and deepest parts of the caves. Be cautious of other hostile creatures in the area and keep an eye out for signs of the Wolf Spider's presence. Finding the Eggs: The egg sac is exclusively found on the mother spider, who guards it with utmost aggression and territoriality. In order to obtain the precious egg sack, it becomes necessary to eliminate the threat posed by the mother spider. Survivors must approach this situation with extreme caution and be well-prepared for a challenging encounter. Engaging the mother spider in battle is a perilous endeavor, as she possesses formidable strength, defensive capabilities, and the instinctual drive to protect her offspring. Survivors must strategize and utilize their skills, weaponry, and tactics to effectively eliminate the mother spider and claim the egg sack. It is crucial to weaken and defeat her while remaining vigilant and agile to avoid her lethal attacks. Once the mother spider has been successfully neutralized, survivors can carefully retrieve the egg sack from her lifeless body. The egg sack must be handled with care to avoid damaging its contents. Incubation: Once you find an egg sac, carefully collect it without attracting the attention of the mother spider. Create a secure and stable environment in your base or designated area for egg incubation. Ensure the conditions such as temperature to get as close to spider's natural habitat. Hatching and Care: Wait for the eggs to hatch, which may take some time. Monitor the incubation conditions and adjust if necessary. Once the spiderlings emerge, prepare to care for them by providing suitable food. Provide appropriate food items, such as insects or small prey animals. Survival of the Fittest: It is important to note that not all spiderlings will survive to adulthood. The number of survivors depends on chance and the conditions provided during incubation and early care. From a single egg sac, you can expect to get around 8 spiderlings, but only one will survive to become an adult. Similarly, if you obtain twins, you will have approximately 12 spiderlings, but only two will survive. In the case of triplets, you may have around 18 spiderlings, with only three of them successfully maturing into adult Wolf Spiders. It's important to note that the survival of the spiderlings follows a "survival of the fittest" principle. In their first baby form, the spiderlings display natural cannibalistic tendencies. They compete for limited resources and prey upon their siblings to ensure their own survival. That is why only some off them survives. They won’t eat anything else that they siblings in their first baby stage. This natural selection process ensures that the strongest and most resilient individuals survive, preserving the genetic traits that make the Wolf Spider a formidable creature. Bonding and Taming: As the spiderlings grow, interact with them regularly to establish trust and familiarity. Offer food items by hand or through a designated feeding spot to encourage the spiderlings to associate you with nourishment. Gradually build a bond with the spiderlings by spending time near them without displaying threatening behavior. Abilities: The Wolf Spider possesses several remarkable abilities that make it a formidable predator and a master of its dark underground domain. Wall and Ceiling Crawling: The spider exhibits extraordinary agility, allowing it to effortlessly traverse not only cave walls but also ceilings. This unique ability enables the Wolf Spider to move silently and swiftly in three-dimensional space, making it a formidable threat from any direction. Hunter's Instinct: Equipped with exceptional sensory perception, the spider can detect the slightest vibrations and movements in its environment. Using this heightened awareness, it actively seeks out potential prey or intruders, relentlessly tracking them within the darkness of the cave system. Once it locates a target, it prepares to launch its deadly assault. Pouncing Ambush: With its keen hunting skills, the Wolf Spider employs a strategic ambush technique. It waits patiently, perched on walls or ceilings, observing and tracking its prey. Once it confirms the presence of a target, it springs into action, launching a swift and powerful jump attack. This attack packs enough force to knock riders off their mounts, leaving them vulnerable to subsequent attacks. Paralyzing Venom: The spider's venom possesses paralytic properties, allowing it to incapacitate smaller prey and temporarily weaken larger foes with 10-20 % weakness. When it successfully bites a creature, the venom rapidly takes effect, causing temporary paralysis and disorientation. This enables the Wolf Spider to deliver subsequent strikes while its prey is unable to defend itself effectively. Bioluminescent Glow: The spider has the unique ability to emit a soft, eerie glow in the darkness of its cave habitat. This bioluminescence serves two purposes: it aids the spider in navigating the pitch-black environment and allows it to locate potential prey or threats with greater ease. The luminescent display can create an unsettling atmosphere and be a mesmerizing sight to behold. Attacks: Bite: The Wolf Spider lunges at its target, delivering a powerful bite infused with venom. The venom can weaken prey or temporarily immobilize smaller creatures or make a bleed effect type of poisen that slowly kills the health with 5 procent every bite. Attack - Pounce and Subdue: The Wolf Spider possesses the ability to crawl on walls and locate creatures. Utilizing its sensitive leg hairs, it detects vibrations and movements on vertical surfaces, allowing it to pinpoint potential prey or threats. When the Wolf Spider identifies its target, it swiftly pounces with agility and precision. It jumps of the wall or celling onto the creature it has detected. If it jumps on smaller to medium sized creature it lock it in like a trap so it can be used for taming or it can kill the things inside the trap but they can escape after 30 seconds. Against smaller to medium-sized creatures with riders, the Wolf Spider's attack becomes even more formidable. It launches itself onto the back of the creature, causing the rider to lose balance and forcefully dismount. With its sharp jaws and fangs, it delivers a lethal bite to swiftly dispatch the rider while trapping the persons creature. So it can also knock people of their mount like a thyla with flyers and holds the rider inside his jaws while it traps his dinos Against larger creatures, the Wolf Spider adapts its strategy. Instead of attempting to fully immobilize them, it cleverly latches onto their side, biting and weakening vital areas, much like the hunting tactics of the Deinonychus. So it can locate creatures and when it has located it make a jump attack. Encounter with Humans: Encountering the Wolf Spider should be approached with caution. Its aggressive nature and territorial instincts make it a dangerous adversary. Engaging in combat with this creature requires careful planning, suitable weapons, and protective gear. Only experienced survivors should attempt to face the Wolf Spider, as it poses a significant threat to those unprepared. Why Vote for the Wolf Spider: The inclusion of the Wolf Spider in Aberration's diverse ecosystem would introduce a thrilling and challenging creature to the game. Its unique abilities, aggressive behavior, and distinctive appearance would provide an exciting gameplay experience for survivors exploring the depths of Aberration's caves. By voting for the Wolf Spider, you would contribute to the expansion of the game's immersive and dangerous world.
  7. One of the largest arks, and one with the largest stretches of land, there are many things to see on Ragnarok, and many dangers scattered around the various biomes. One creature however, has adapted to live comfortably in any of the many environments on Rag, and has worked its way up the food chain not through brawn, but through intelligence. Introducing Caudipteryx! One of the most intelligent, diverse, and surprisingly ruthless creatures on Rag! Caudipteryx are medium sized creatures, about the same size as a carno. When wild, they can be found walking, running, flying, or even swimming around, often hunting smaller creatures- or avoiding larger ones. Though they usually see a survivor as food, the intelligence of this creature isn't to be underestimated. If they sense danger or take too much damage, they'll simply run away. Likewise if they observe survivors cooperating with other creatures, it can peak their interest... Just don't get too close to one, or you'll be faced with their razor-sharp beaks and the weaponized feathers on their necks. Taming method- Caudipteryx will become nuetral and avoid, but watch the player if they have a shoulder pet. If they observe the player feeding their shoulder pet, they may come close and accept food, though each Caudipteryx prefers a different food, ranging from sarco skin, allo brain, yuty lung, basilo blubber, and tuso tentacles. After feeding a Caudipteryx enough, they will enter a passive state and allow the player to mount them, causing the player to have time exact key presses to avoid being thrown off. Survive the ride and you'll earn the trust of the Caudipteryx to be your own. Abilities Bite- Their sharp beaks can harvest wood, berries, meat, and have an affinity for gathering special drops. Defeating a creature such as a sarco with the bite attack has a chance to double the tribute items you receive. Double Jump- Caudipteryx are able to do a sort of double jump by flapping their wings, and attacking while airborne causes them to slash at the ground, dealing extra damage while avoiding the attacks of other creatures. Flight- By holding spacebar, Caudipteryx can fly and glide, though these actions use a lot of stamina. Swimming- Caudipteryx are excellent swimmers, and have adapted to be able to breathe underwater, still able to bite and use their feather projectiles underwater. They can even harvest pearls! Feather Throw- Caudipteryx can aim and fire off the feathers from their necks, which are surprisingly durable and sharp! Being struck with a feathery slows and bleeds those hit. Defense Mode- Caudipteryx are intelligent enough to be excellent defense creatures, you can mark an allied tame or player, yourself, or your own structures in defense mode, and even help your Caudipteryx record a path if you want to. By default, Caudipteryx will remain still around their marked target, but if they sense any hostility toward the target, they'll enter a turret mode and fire off feathers at the hostile, they can even shoot down explosives! If they or their target take damage in this state, Caudipteryx will actively attempt to avoid incoming attacks and keep firing their feathers, making them incredibly deadly on defense. If an enemy player or tame gets too close, they'll resort to using their bite and claw attacks, and do everything they can to defend the marked target. If a path is marked, they'll even patrol the path and perform the same actions. Caudipteryx that get separated from their marked target will even automatically make their way back to it. Scout Mode- When commanded into scout mode, Caudipteryx can lock onto any creature, player, or structure and identify levels, health, torpidity, food, and armor levels of their target! When placed on scout mode without a rider, Caudipteryx will enter a form of turret mode and remain still, identifying nearby hostiles by locking onto them and revealing them to allies until the enemy gets too far away. They can't detect multiple creatures like a parasaur, but the target they lock onto will be permanently visible to their allies until unmarked! Crouch- While on the ground, Caudipteryx can crouch very low to the ground and use their flexible limbs to sort of "slither" forward. They can fit through crouch spaces! Passive Defense- If a creature tries to dismount their rider, be it a flyer, purlovia, or even a thyla, Caudipteryx will instead launch an automatic counter attack and stun the offending creature. And the last ability of Caudipteryx, is their rest ability! Caudipteryx feathers, just not the ones on their necks, are very soothing and soft. If a Caudipteryx cuddles up to an allied player or dino and uses their rest ability, all the allies in range will start to get a slight healing buff, and players will be completely insulated from the elements while nearby! If Caudipteryx has extra food, it will even feed starving allies by 10 food points to prevent them from starving to death. And that's it for Caudipteryx, all terrain and with many uses, I hope you like them! The image is an ai generated representation of what I think they should look like.
  8. The cave lion is an animal that lived on our planet 900,050 years ago. He lived in packs and hunted in packs. They have not met modern humans and were also slightly smaller than a human. But in Ark, the story turns a bit. In Ark, the cave lion is a brutal predator that specifically hunts for larger predators, e.g. the Allosaurus. The cave lion in Ark also hunts in packs and is also significantly larger than a human. Not to mention the cave lion is a wild animal that lives in packs, making it difficult to tame a single animal. Tame: to tame him you have to find a baby that was rejected from the pack. Then feed it meat until the taming bar is at 10%. Then he starts following you. Then you look for Dodos and give him the whistle signal to access it so his taming bar increases when it reaches 100%. Then you wait until it grows and then the cave lion is yours!! abilities: the cave lion can make a leap attack to grab air and land animals, land animals max out to triceratops, and air animals max out to griffins and wyverns. If you have a pack of 5 animals you can even grab a rex together. They can also grab players from the saddles of other animals. the cave lion can also go into a rage mode like the giga. you activate it when you have caused enough damage to an animal, then it starts to roar and its claws lengthen. Rage mode deals three times the damage of its normal form. In Day Mode he also takes 17% less damage on weapons with ammo, same counts for the Rocket Launcher. The cave lion can also climb mountains, and can also climb up and down while climbing left and right, making it handy for artifact caves. He can also use an ability at night or in a cave in which an artifact or creature is marked as well as real players. Of course, he also has a pack buff. There can only be one male in the pack and if he activates the rage mode, he can also transfer the rage mode to the other pack animals. The cave lion is also the fastest land animal in Ark Size: The Cave Lions a bigger than a player special: and there are two rare different variants: the snowy form and the volcanic form, the snowy form can only be found in the snow landscape during the day and the volcanic form in the volcano landscape of both there are 3 pieces on one card, with both 2 females and 1 male the volcanic variety is only found at night. both variants have a special ability. both can camouflage themselves the snowy variant can only become invisible during the day in the snow area like the shadowman exactly the same counts for the volcanic variant only that he can become invisible everywhere at night the volcanic variant is full black and the snowy variant is full white where he lives: the cave lions can be found in the highlands
  9. Head note: I haven't looked around to see if anyone else has proposed this before for other maps, but this is my take on the Thalassodromeus. Genus: Thalassodromeus sethi Common Name: Thalassodromeus Researched Background Thalassodromeus is a genus of pterosaur that lived in what is now Brazil during the Early Cretaceous period, about a hundred million years ago. Thalassodromeus had one of the largest known skulls among pterosaurs, around 1.42 m (4 ft 8 in) long, with one of the proportionally largest cranial crests of any vertebrate. Though only the skull is known, the animal is estimated to have had a wingspan of 4.2 to 4.5 m (14 to 15 ft). The Thalassodromeus was thought to be a Skimmer Bird - skimming over water's surface and catching fish but also small prey on the coast lands, they later developed to fly in-land in search of opportunistic encounters. This is ideal for transversing the large map of Ragnarok. Wild Behavior Temperament: Aggressive Diet: Carnivore (but tames off Fish) Then Thalassodromeus can be seen circling around riverland areas, looking for it's next meal and rarely landing for a break. Unlike the skittish Tapajara and the docile Pteranodon, the intelligent Thalassodromeus sees human survivors as ideal prey but only if it can wear them down. For larger adversaries, the Thalassodromeus utilises lightning fast hit and run tactics to chip away at it's prey until it can feed. When endangered or close to death, the Thalassodromeus will fly away similarly to the Tapajara. While not suited for in-air combat or carrying a lot of items, the Thalassodromeus is a great hunter of the lands and waters below. Domesticated Abilities Gliding & Long Distance Flight - Thalassodromeus rarely flaps its wings in the air which is ideal for long distance flights, and will steadily use it's wide wingspan to maintain itself in the air. While it is unable to manuever as smoothly as a Tapajara, the Thalassodromeus is faster has 2 flight modes to switch between Gliding and Hovering. Able to fly and skate across water - When the Thalassodromeus flies onto water, it is able to skate across the water at a speed slightly faster than a Bloodstalker. It may grab creatures on the surface of the water which are smaller than a survivor, including fish to heal itself (potentially similarly to an Argentavis?). The rider won't be dismounted when it interacts with water. Grabbing - Can pick up creatures in it's beak up to the size of a survivor and can crunch down on them with it's powerful blade-like, robust jaws. Primary Attack - Bite Secondary Attack - Head bash attack which inflicts a stun. (15s cooldown) Increased spoiler times for perishables Taming Method The survivor must submerge themselves in water near a Thalassodromeus which will start the taming process. It will then repeatedly swoop down on onto the water directly above and this will give the survivor a moment to feed them Raw Prime Fish Meat / Superior Kibble. If the survivor isn't completely submerged under water, the Thalassodromeus will attack instead. Be sure to hold your breath well, and keep an eye out for piranhas and other dangers! Thank you for reading my suggestion.
  10. Protathlitis “The Champion” The Protathlitis is a school bus-sized, speed demon. They mainly reside in swampy areas or coastal beaches, where they can kill any unsuspecting prey that moves near them. They are extremely effective killers thanks to their amazing night vision and animal tracking ability. Taming: You first must knock them out using conventional means like darts and tranq arrows, but then, since these creatures are so ruthless, you must go kill others of its species to feed to it, when it wakes up, it will eat all the bodies, and If it is enough, the creature will be tamed Abilities: Hunter vision: They have the ability hunter vision; what this does is it gives them (and the rider) night vision and tracks all animals they can see but at the cost of draining their hunger significantly Shedding: Every so often they shed their skin, the skin can be collected using scissors, then can be crushed in a mortar and pestle or Chemistry bench to be made into absorbent substrate Agility: They have extremely fast agility, both on land and in water, they also have significantly increased stamina and oxygen Strength: These creatures are also beneficial for hunting and attacking, thanks to their large claws and their serrated teeth, plus the bleed effect they give similar to a Thylacoleo Stances: Similar to the Spinosaurus, this creature has different stances, with the bipedal stance being more attack based, and the quadrupedal stance offering more agility Dossier: Wild “They wander around on 4 legs but when provoked or become aggressive they stand on 2 legs. They become extremely aggressive at everything it sees. They are extremely fast runners and swimmers and can easily kill anything that angers it using its serrated teeth and sharp claws. They have keen eyesight and can even see in the dark as well as track animals.” Domesticated “It is extremely helpful when domesticated, it would be an amazing addition to any tribe. It can especially help tribes with transportation, defense, and offense. It comes in especially useful during war because of its versatile nature. I have also seen some tribes grind up the shed skin to make absorbent materials.” Hope you guys liked it and if you have any recommendations put them in the comments : )
  11. Art by Jade_317 Art by Jade_317 Coelophysis is my idea for a creature submission. Although it is a small dinosaur my idea for this guy is the ability to snatch and quickly dispatch shoulder pets and small dinosaurs. Additionally, due to their adaptations on the ARKs they have had to compete with other predators for prey and have developed a rivalry with certain predators. This makes this creature an excellent early to mid game shoulder pet/mount and can help protect you from the ARK's peskier creatures. Another fun feature of these guys is that they come in multiple sizes and have sexual dimorphism. In the wild, they can be found traveling in large groups but despite this, they are individualistic and won’t really react if you attack an individual. However, they don’t really like being approached unless you come with a carcass of another Coelophysis. I would be careful breeding these guys since they have quite an appetite for each other though! Dossier Common Name: Coelophysis Species: Coelophysis Carpeis Time: Late Triassic Diet: Carnivore Temperament: Opportunistic Wild Coelophysis is a predatory dinosaur that is adapted for hunting the ARK’s smaller creatures. Nimble and small Coelophysis roam in large packs. Alone Coelophysis is quite reluctant to attack, however in the presence of others it gains increased vigor and confidence. This makes a group of Coelophysis quite dangerous, and I have seen these predators take down prey significantly larger than an individual Coelophysis. Domesticated It appears that Coelophysis’s adaptation to hunting makes it a useful exterminator of pests. I have even seen survivors train their Coelophysis to pull small creatures from the shoulders of other survivors. The Coelophysis varies in size and smaller individuals can hang on a survivor’s shoulder while larger individuals can be ridden. The Coelophysis is highly cannibalistic which is how they have been tamed by survivors. Survivors should be wary when breeding these dinosaurs due to their cannibalistic instincts. I have seen more than one survivor stare helplessly in horror as their new Coelophysis hatchling is devoured by the pack! Taming Coelophysis can be tamed by feeding it the corpses of other Coelophysis. Survivors will need to stalk and kill a member of the Coelophysis group and feed them to the individual they wish to tame. Once you have fed an individual Coelophysis the corpse of another can be tamed passively with meats. Additionally, you can feed the individual you are taming more Coelophysis corpses for the most progress. Care should be taken not to trigger the group when attempting to tame a Coelophysis. An additional feature when taming a Coelophysis is the ability to mend lost taming effectiveness by feeding it a baby Coelophysis before completing the tame. Abilities Snatch: This ability allows the Coelophysis to steal a shoulder pet off of another’s shoulder. Non-ridable Coelophysis executes this ability by hopping onto the back of a survivor, pulling their pet off, and then hopping off causing a staggering effect. Mounted Coelophysis can remove a shoulder pet in a similar manner to Megalosaurus. The execution of this ability on wild creatures is a basic grab attack. Execution: This ability is the following move to the snatch ability. After a certain period being held in the Coelophysis’s mouth, it can execute a finishing move that instantly kills the captured creature. Once this ability is performed the Coelophysis will gain a timer preventing it from repeating this ability again for a certain period. Execution grants a mild damage boost. Patrol: A unique ability this creature possesses is the ability to patrol a certain area acting as a guard dog against common predators. However, this can lead your Coelophysis to get into combat. Can be used to protect locations from nuisance creatures. Radar: This ability is reserved only for Coelophysis that can be held on a survivor’s shoulder. This ability is like the jerboa’s weather detection except in reaction to certain predator and prey items. Does not reveal the specific location of targets. Reactions include Prey (Reaction to creatures under a certain drag weight), Rival (Reaction to creatures in the Rivalry trait), and Predator (Reaction to carnivorous creatures above a certain drag weight). Does not react to humans. Passive Traits Cannibalism: Gains increased stats for a certain period after killing another Coelophysis. Confidence: A trait exclusive to wild individuals that are like how hyaenodons react to targets. Rivalry: A reactive trait where Coelophysis gains increased damage resistance and damage output when in the general vicinity of Troodons, Raptors, Dilophosaurus, Titanoboa, and other similarly sized predators. Prey: Coelophysis does increased damage to creatures under a certain drag weight. Breeding There isn’t anything particularly notable about breeding Coelophysis rather than babies under the age of 50%-60% will be targeted by adults despite both being in the same tribe or group. This means that babies of this age must be separated from adults. Roles Guard dog: With the patrol ability and rivalry trait the Coelophysis can make a useful early-mid game protector. Shoulder Pet Snatcher: Its main PVP role is the ability to steal and kill shoulder pets. Mounted Coelophysis can be especially useful for this. Hunter: The Coelophysis makes an excellent early-mid game hunting creature due to its increased damage against multiple common creatures and ability to grab small creatures. Exterminator and Taming Companion: Due to its ability to grab certain wild creatures and restrain or kill them the Coelophysis can be useful as an exterminator or taming companion. PVP: Although the Coelophysis doesn’t have much hp it is fast and can deal a fair amount of damage for its size. Coelophysis also makes for a great combat speed mount. CREDIT: Lapis Lazuli for making my first concept art of Coelophysis. Jade_317 for making the art used in this voting submission.
  12. Name - Utahraptor ostrommaysorum Time Period - Early Cretaceous Spawn Map - Scorched Earth Classification - Dromaeosauridae Size - It reached 20 feet in length Tamable - Yes Breedable - Yes Description - Utahraptor would have been an extraordinary killing machine. Utahraptor is one of the geologically oldest and largest known feathered dromaeosaurids from the Desert. This group of carnivorous dinosaurs had a large retractable sickle claw on its foot, specialized for cutting. With a name meaning “Utah’s predator,” Utahraptor was a ferocious hunter that used its sickle-shaped claws to attack and rip apart its prey. The claw itself was 9.5 inches (24 cm) long.

    Direwolf

    From the album: Dossiers

Common Name: Direwolf Species: Canis Maxdirus Time: Pleistocene Diet: Carnivore Temperament: Aggressive Wild: The best adjective to describe Canis Maxdirus is "scary". This pack-hunter is a cunning and brutal predator, capable of taking down prey of nearly any size. In addition to being a vicious hunter, it is the size of a small horse, meaning even the largest predators aren't necessarily safe from the packs. The species has an incredible affinity for teamwork. Unlike most creatures on the island, Canis is a dedicated pack hunter, and rarely hunts alone. In fact, Canis is naturally as effective with its packmates as most creatures are when their mate is in danger—when in a pack, they are naturally spurred to fight for their lives. Furthermore, when in a pack, the most experienced Canis will be designated "Alpha" and gain an even stronger enhancement. Domesticated: Obviously, Canis is an amazing battle mount. It is fairly fast, very strong, and agile. It can jump almost as well as the Island's battle cats. Riding a supercharged "Alpha" Canis into battle at the head of a bloodthirsty pack is a thrill for which most warriors would gladly proclaim: "Today is a good day to die!"
