  1. Intro- Hello everyone! This is Pristinailurus Bristoli, a large carnivorous ancestor of the modern-day red panda. The real-world Pristinailurus was much larger than the red panda but was thought to have a weaker bite. I gave the Pristinailurus details close to the Gacha, because I envision it living within the Sunken Forest and experiencing whatever similar evolution that the Gacha underwent. The main use this creature would have is to be a turret/bullet soaker, and an overall menace of a tank all the while protecting the rider! Dossier Text Wild- Pristinailurus Bristoli, more commonly known as the Ailurus, is usually a docile and calm creature when left unprovoked, although Ailurus is a carnivore and will hunt smaller, less aggressive prey. (Humans aren't on the menu this time!) The Ailurus seems to have rocky "scales" covering their bodies as evolutionary defense mechanisms to protect against predators that get a little too confident in Ailurus's calm nature, or smaller prey that fights back. As far as resilient creatures go, you can't get more resilient than the Ailurus! Domesticated- Although this creature might not have the strongest bite, a tamed Ailurus in an invaluable tank to any tribe wishing for a reliable source of protection. Their damage-reducing rock armor will protect creature and rider alike by heavily reducing damage from projectiles and preventing dinos like Dimorphodon or Purlovia from singling out the rider! Attacking creatures soon realize they have taken on a harder target than initially thought, as the protective rock scales knock back creatures who try to take a bite, leaving them with rock "splinters" that increase damage dealt to them. The Ailurus is also proficient at climbing up cliffs and trees, and can sniff out uncommon resources like sap, fungal wood, and various mushrooms that wouldn't normally be found in trees or bushes! Ability Breakdown- -Reduced damaged from projectiles and heavy protection from bullets. -Prevents dismounting or rider-targeting from dinos like Microraptor, Dimorphodon, etc. -Knocks back creatures that attack. -Leaves Rock Splinters on attacking dinos, debuffing them by increasing damage dealt to them. -Can climb cliffs and trees (much like the real-world red panda). -Can gather sap, fungal wood, and various mushrooms from bushes that wouldn't normally produce them. Thank you all for reading and I hope you like my creature idea! Please consider voting for it!
  2. Inspired by Nycticebus linglom, a prehistoric primate known only from a single tooth as well as Slow lorises, the only venomous primate to exist. I figured that the Lorises venom could be adapt well to the idea of corruption and started brainstorming a bunch of ideas but feel free to share your own. Also, sorry in advance for the quality and typos! I'm a noob at making these! Wild: Being a relatively small and solitary creature, the Loris spends most of its time in the canopy of trees, only ever coming down if an opportunity to grab an easy meal appears. A rare sight due to their nature and habitat the Lorises simian intelligence along with its unique attributes has enabled it to survive outside of the protective domes significantly easier than most creatures would. The only venomous primate found on the Arks, the Lorises venom is a side effect of its diet which consists primarily of the corrupted flesh from wild creatures. This venom has a surprising amount of uses beyond just poisoning enemies that are bitten by the Loris. Corrupted creatures seem to ignore the Loris, which I assume to be because they view it as one of them. This effect also seems to apply to those near a loris which leads me to believe it has something to do with the Loris' scent or perhaps pheromones given off by the creature via special glands. Domesticated: In order to tame one of these odd primates survivors must offer them either corrupted nodules or corrupted hearts with hearts being the more effective of the two. Once tamed survivors will find that while not particularly useful in head-to-head combat the Loris does provide unique utility with its venom and other corruption-based abilities. The Lorises venom can be harvested and turned into a special elixir that when consumed can temporarily "corrupt" the consumer, granting them a boost in ferocity and causing wild corrupt creatures to ignore them. Should the Loris bite a wild corrupted creature or the creature of an enemy that creature can temporarily be forced onto your side. Lorises also gather more corrupt materials when harvesting them and make it harder for wild corrupt creatures to notice nearby survivors and tames. Though it is too small to ride it can be equipped with a specialized saddle, similar to the Hyaenodon, with the Lorises saddle acting much like a chemistry bench. To anyone who reads this, thanks in advance. I know it's not flashy or cool but I appreciate everyone who does.
  3. Wild- In all my years I never expected to find a eusocial pterosaur, let alone one with such a... unique method of defense. Sordes cornucrepitus are related to the more common dimorphodon, yet unlike their cousins they are extremely aggressive in the wild, resting in their towering wasteland hive structures where their king and queen sit safely at the central chamber. Whenever prey or predators venture too close to the hive a specialized caste of drone are released from the hive in droves whose only purpose is to dive bomb the enemy and through a process of muscular constriction rupture their own bodies, explode on impact dealing grievous damage to their target. The process in which the creatures self detonate is fascinating, possessing several specialized organs full of volatile chemicals surrounded by constricting muscular structures, at a whim the creature can constrict these structures, building enough pressure that the creatures body cavity ruptures, exposing the chemical contents to the air and causing a violent explosion full of bone shrapnel. The self destructive drones hatch ready to fly within moments and ready to give their lives in defense of their hive. Taming- Taming your own hive of sordes is a daunting task, one must approach and rile the hive, surviving the swarming onslaught of exploding drones, if one can exhaust the hives supply of drones then the king will emerge and attack the survivor, being the largest and most dangerous member of the hive this will in itself be a dangerous task, the king is a swift flier armed with sharp teeth and vitality surprising for such a small creature. When the king sordes falls in combat only the queen will remain, plump, helpless and unable to fly away she will attempt to flee the hive and crawl away to safety, it is at this time a survivor can attempt to win her trust through hand feeding of their favorite food, mutton, after this process is complete you can bring your new friend home to have her build a new hive tower. Domesticated- A domesticated sordes hive has a surprising number of uses, the structure itself being roughly as durable as stone structures built by survivors and can be commanded to hunt and gather meat from passing wild animals, this meat stored in large chambers within the hive where its spoilage will be drastically slowed. The base defense possibilities of the hive can also not be understated as few creatures can withstand the onslaught of the hives drone attacks. One can also take a queen and have her form a small "hive backpack" which cant house as many drones but can still make a potent defensive option while exploring the wastelands. A tamed hive can also have the chemical composition of its explosive drones influenced to achieve different explosive effects, incendiary, poisonous and flashbang drones have all been documented and who knows what other clever chemical compositions can be achieved. Breeding of sordes in captivity can technically be achieved, a "Founder" egg can occasionally be found in a destroyed hive the wild, this actually being a pair of two fused eggs that can only be incubated within a tamed hive, upon hatching this will produce a new king and queen that can produce an entire new hive upon maturity.
  4. Neprodiregem is a crustation that resembles a lobster with giant fist like claws that work as a harvester under water that work extremely efficency even better then the anky it will move under water sort of like karkinos in the way that it cant swim and just walks instead it will have an ability where it can use its powerfull tail to swim only up to the surface in case your character needs air it will have really high base healthpool and base wieght the neprodiregem will have an ability to harvest silica pearls with to far smaller appendages under its body, neprodiregem will have 50% weight reduction on the following oil, metal, stone, obsidian and flint but only when underwater if you venture on to land with this guy he will recieve a debuff wich causes 20% reducaed walk speed and 20% less damage and on top of that it loses it wieght reducation but there is an upside if you give neprodiregem a water canteen the neprodiregem will gain all of its under water capabilitys for five minutes this can stack if given enough water, this giant lobster will also have two different saddles you will have the normal saddle with 25.0 armor and 20 wieght then you can have a muchmore expensive saddle wich will look something like metal around its fists and bodythis saddle will provide the rider and mount more armor and lots of damage but will reduce possible resouces from nodes. the neprodiregem will be a carnivore at the deepest parts of the ocean i have not chosen the taming style but i know it cant be tamed threw tanqs because its armor will not allow it. This Idea was made by a Friend of mine 👍
  5. Deinocheirus - Wikipedia Common name : Deinocheirus Species : Deinocheirus paludosusgrandisanas Time : Late Cretaceous Diet : hervibore Temperament : neutral Wild This creature might look like a hybrid between spinosaurus and Therizinosaurus caused by Ark but htat's not true. Despite of the dull looking face, deinocheirus is a powerful defender guarding the certain area. If you just approach them roaming around the shallow water, you'll face the same fate of those rokkie predators dared to challenge them. Tamed If you succeed to tame a Deinocheirus, It will be a perfect companion through your adventure with tremendous help for survival. Their hard and thick claws will dedicate to your tribe's development by getting diverse resources efficiently. Also as in wild, the Deinocheirus's territorial behavior will help you smash your enemies fast by protecting your ally's base. You gonna use the Deinocheirus's characteristic if you want to tame one. They urge to kill the very first thing trespassing their territory more than others so you're gonna need a decoy to distract them from knocking them down. According to the people with experiences, they tend to be more hare to deal with in their territory so I recomand you to lure them out of there before taming. The goal of idea First reason is want to see Deinocheirus in ark. Even before I heard that Deinocheirus added to Ark additions mod, I want to see it in ark like another dinosaur game. Second reason is the mod is mod. Some people think if you want to see mod creature, can say just install mod. Also ASA will support cross platforms and we will be able to enjoy mods in Epic and Console. But someone may not be able to enjoy mods for reasons such as disk volume or spec(also, not sure cross platform added in ASA cuz studio wildcard's moves make me incredible.) Last reason is more species in ark. Everyone knows more diverse creature makes more option and fun when you have in the same situation. For example, if we want bleeding dino, we can choose deino, carno, thyla, allos. But almost case, our option is limited and use high teir carnivore creature, so if deinocheirus added, our choice are increased. Ability 1. LMB basic attack use front legs(1 time 2 hit. ignore armor fixed rate like therizino) 2. RMB Deinocheirus charges energy shortly and strike enemy strongly. this attack make stunned(cant act anything). 3. C Deinocheirus spread arms and body. This act make deinocheirus is more bigger and makes fear under deinocheirus's size creature. 4. Ctrl When press Ctrl buttom, you can set region(center is deinocheirus and make circle.) In this region, Deinocheirus get 'Gaurdian' buff, this buff make increase attack damage 30%, decreased received damage 40%, increase patience 50%. 5. Special ability Deinocheirus can harvest several resource high efficiency and possible enhance like moschops. (Deinocheirus's thick claws make possible harvest these resources.) list of resource Obsidian Organic polymer meat(all kind) black pearl Slica pearl Crystal How to tame you can get aggro to use scapegoat put them in wild Deinocheirus's region. This situation make Deinocheirus ignore everything before remove intruder and you can stuuned safely. Also, wild deinocheirus have 'Gaurdian' buff in their region, so recommand lure it and make it get out of it's region. Sorry for my poor english(I'm not native english) and artworks(I'm newbie digital art work. more art work is exist but file size make cant upload).
  6. Rodhocetus Kasrani Rodhocetus is a genius off early whales Wiki: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rodhocetus Name: Rodhocetus kasrani Group Mammal Time: Eocene Diet: Piscivore Temperament: Territorial/docile Rodhocteus is a amphibious whale who would be a fearsome foe on both land and sea. I feel ark`s oceans need a new BIG creature but actualy beeing abel to leave the ocean and stil be decent is preferd so I think this could be a fun creature to fit that role. It has alot off health and great damage, it`s quite fast and mobile in water but become more sluggish (while stil decent speed) while on land. Size will be simular to the astrocetus but maby a bit bigger. I feel the ocean in ark need a new BIG creature and I think it would be fun to have something that also can go on land and be decent. Dropp: Hide, meat, blubber (can be turned into oil in or used in cooking or consumed to stay warm/ regain stammina or heal carnivores), smal chance for silika pearls, black pearls and blueprint. Dossier: Rodhocteus is a name that strike fear into the heart of any seafaring surviver. This leviathan is feard and worshiped bye many often tried to catch and tamed buy multiple tribes but few even survive to tell the tail. It is a creature off duality not just because of it`s amphibious nature. I keep hearing tails off this blod thirsty monster that destroyes everything in it`s path, a creature abel to stop a ranging giga, but a few also describe it as a gentel giant who`s main food is simple fish. Even when I myself stod face to face with one it seemed more intrested in basking in the sun nothing like the stories I have heard so many told off it. And while few have succeeded a few have managed to get thees Behemoths on there side. Rodhocteus is a wounderfull sea mount as few creature dare to face it and it`s thick hide seem to protect it from the poision form the cnidaria. It has a remarkable abillity to fillter out the non edible part off it`s pray allowing it to farm large amount of chitin, hide, cementingpaste and silica and black pearls. Wild. Rodhocteus is mostly found in the centers`s oceans but can also be found basking on it`s beaches. It is mostly docile only attacking if provoked but it will turn aggresive against any raft or sea platform. It don`t agro on much else than coelacanth, megladons and leedsichthys and occasionally the nearby crustaceans. Domesticated: For those who can domesticate a rodhocetus these giants becomes wounderfull travel mounts for those who seek to explore the depths off the ocean, while as a mammal they do need oxygen rodhecetus can hold it`s breath for hours and seem to fear non off the other inhabitants off the deep. They can also serve as Cargo haulers even carring larger items and even herds of smaller creatures within it`s mouth. Rodhocetus seem to have adopted to store whater within it`s nasal cavity that it can eject at will. Some uses this ability to irrigate there crops, stop fire, relieve wounds and some just use it to cool down on a warm day. Take this with it`s majestic but intimidating bellow that seem to even intimidate the gigantosaurus rodhocetus can be great for defending and supporting your tribe and your homes. Abillities: 1 Left click Bite: A slow but powerful bite attack. 1.5 Mouth full: Hold down left click to swoop open rodhocetus`s mouth to pick up and store things in it`s mouth. It can pick up small herds off smaler creatures like wolfs. It can also scoop up parts off your base to relocate it, 2-4 foundations depending how much is on the foundations. Pressing left click again alows you to spit out creatures and survivors while holding let place down items and base parts. 2 Right click: leviathan`s Bellow Land: Rodhocetus emit a deep and powerfull bellow that disrupts all passive abillities and effects like: Ally: stops ally creatures from fear, bleeding and debuffs. Enemy: Stops passive boosts like dadedon healing, water buffs and giga and charcar rage. Water: While in water it works like ecolocation and finds wild and enemy creatures, explorer notes and reasurces like oil nodes. 3 Splash/body slam: While close to the water surface press space to luach yourself upp and slam down. this dismount enemy survivors and deals great damage to rafts and seaplatforms. the more momentum you have the greater the power. Passive: Thick blubber: Imune against torpor and cnidaria toxin. Bonus abillity: It stores water that it can blow out thru it`s blowhole to stop fire and give temporary healt regen to ally. While at the water surface blast out water thru it`s blowhole and make a rainbow like the basilosaur. Taming: To tame on for yourself you need to use rafts to wear it down. Rodhocetus will attack the raft (need multiple rafts for higher level, metal is more effective than wooden rafts) it will calm down allowing you to passive feed it. Saddle: I think a platform saddle could work well but I also se it just having a normal saddle. thank you for cheaking out my subbision hope you have a nice day.
  7. Temperment: Aggresive Rarity: uncommon Size: Similar to a plesio yet slightly larger Diet: Meat Location: The aquatic pit under the flying island on the center Encounter: While some see the water under the flying island the center has become known for as a relatively peaceful area of ocean, those people have not encountered this beast. This creature attacks anything and everything that comes near it, grinding their bones (and armor) to nothing but a mushy paste in a couple of hits. This results in these creatures being feared by most survivors who like their flak armor (and more importantly scube tank) intact. Taming: These creatures are too aggresive and strong to just shoot with tranqs, they have to be in a weakened state. Survivors more daring than myself have figured out just the key to that. By giving the ptychodus its favorite chew toys (armor pieces) they have found it can be won over as opposed to the more violent method of tranqing. The key component of taming is the armors durability (what creature wants a weak chew toy) Tamed: Once won over by giving it its favorite chew toys this creature offers a unique property, the ability to act as not only an (all be it less efficient) industrial grinder, but also, a proficient gatherer and fighter. This creature has a 6th stat replacing the oxygen stat most aquatic creatures are missing in favor of a "grind" stat, this not only increases the speed it grinds down objects but also it allows it to harvest more of certain resources. Bonus resource table: Organic poly, chitin, keratin, boss drops, bio toxin, oil, and metal. (However this creature does NOT gain a weight reduction for any of these, meaning a dunkleosteis is recommended to bring along.) MISC: Ptychodus is immune to the effects of cnidaria but still takes damage from them and electrophorus. Their stats are comparable to a basilo with slightly less focus on health and more on damage. They are breedable and clonable.
  8. Hey there im reposting my previous suggestion of the deinocheirus. This dinosaur is similar to the therizino its an omnivorous giant just a little bit higher than the therizino and much more bulkier. It also has a nice set of claws just like the therizino. It has a duck like beak perfectly suiting this terror gose which some part of the concept is based on. The dino although it lived in swamp's certainly wasn't suited for a deep water lifestyle more like a shallow water fisher id see it fitting into the green biomes river areas as there are plenty of fish there. Gameplay: I think our modern creatures in ark cant exist without a good utility. Pve:How many times have you been grinding Berrys and thought how much easier it would be if you can chose what you want to harvest like with the stryder. I personally thought about this a lot so my idea is deinocheirus has a secondary attack like the tickle of the therizino but it leans forward and starts biting the grass like a gose or a duck with small movements but fast and that attack only harvests the berries and harvestables selected. Pvp: oh boy as many times Ive been trapped in a net and though about my life decisions, any way deinocheirus has sharp and long claws and sure packs some tricks. when neted it can use its sharp claws to cut the net and free Itself in just a few seconds. It van also free allies. Neutral: Its primary attack is just a swipe that cause painful wounds slowing down even the largest of foes. when stationary the primary attack becomes much more like a feroxes swipe attack while stationary swiping left to right while this attack is repeated it stacks a buff that speeds up the attacks, much like the tek claw. The buff is reseted by moving or pausing, however when fully stacked the buff sticks around for 5 seconds even while moving, the timer is reseted by further punching. its omnivorous behaviour could mean it can eat sweet veggie cakes. Taming: The last few creatures added to ark are not the same old taming method we are used to i expect nothing less from asa so i thought this creature should have its own unique either. being the concept of the most dangerous non theropod creature I think it should have a similar taming method to elephants IRL, So the the first thing you want to do is discipline the creature. You discipline the creature by shooting its limbs. Doing so will make the creature fall to the ground so you can feed it with the preferred food being an omnivore that could be basically anything thats edible, but better stay on your feet because caging the creature will result in some interesting responses as the creature will constantly try to deceive you. It will play its fall and when you would feed it you would be met with claws each time you fall for its tricks the taming effectiveness will go down but you can use plant z to flash and scare the creature thus making it stand up. This makes the harder way more rewarding while not being the only option. I hope you like my suggestion for the deinocheirus and help me get this incredible creature to the game
  9. NEW UPDATED CONCEPT ART! General Info Common Name: Crystal Skink Species: Tiliqua Frangens Diet: Crystal Temperament: Ambush/Territorial The real-world Tiliqua Frangens was the largest known Skink that lived between the Pliocene and Pleistocene eras. It was believed to have an elaborately armored back, and lived in Australia. Reference articles: https://www.sci.news/paleontology/tiliqua-frangens-12003.html https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tiliqua_frangens The Crystal Skink is a (very) large Skink that has evolved with the Aberrant Ark and become symbiotic with the crystals that litter the deeper caverns, replacing its natural armor with crystals. While not as strong as a Reaper, it can stand its ground against a Rock Drake. The crystals that litter its back react violently to Charge Light, angering the creature and dramatically increasing its aggression. Design Concept: Artwork created by Gucien C (ArtStation: https://www.artstation.com/gucien/albums/7032945) ABILITIES & FEATURES Combat/Gatherer hybrid Gathers crystal and gems extremely efficiently Has a significant weight reduction for crystal and gems Between Megalania and Rock Drake agility Climb on all surfaces like a Rock Drake Roll like a Roll Rat! (even up vertical surfaces for a limited time!) Highly territorial near crystals and gems in the wild, less aggressive when not in proximity (think "Megatherium around bugs" when around crystals vs "Chalicotherium" when not) Charge Light Buff!! When exposed to Charge Light, the crystals covering the Crystal Skink's body begin to pulse with inner light, and the Skink roars, increasing aggression (wild), speed, and attack power. Reference for scream: Rajang Enrage (0:08-0:12 in video) Environmental Protector Consumes Crystal, Green, Blue, and Red Gems together to project "Crystal Armor" to nearby allied survivors and tames (wild projects to other Crystal Skinks). Crystal Armor lingers for a few moments after protective aura disappears before breaking apart. Crystal Armor reduces incoming damage slightly while protecting from Radiation and temperature, reducing effects of Lava and Liquid Element, and can even protect from the direct heat of the Sun on Aberration's Surface! Can create a Consumable for an increased up-front cost that can be consumed to give temporary Crystal Armor without the Skink's presence Crystal Skink always has the environmental resistances that Crystal Armor provides COMBAT Bite Claw Swipe Tail Smack (hits with crystal club (can inflict Torpor?)) Gathers resources with Tail Ground Pound (Crystal AoE when Crystal is in inventory) Roll Attack can cause lots of damage, but needs space to activate in combat Can bury similar to Reaper or Purlovia, leaving a Crystal formation above the ground (wild or tamed), taking Survivors by surprise TAMING Enraging a Wild Crystal Skink with Charge Light will cause it to become more aggressive, and eventually tire out after a period of time away from Charge Light. When tired, the Skink will lie down for a short time, allowing the crystals to begin to be harvested from its back. Taking the crystals from the Skink will pacify it, allowing it to be ridden. A pacified Crystal Skink must be used to gather more Crystal to regenerate its natural armor, building its bond with the Survivor. PURPOSE The Crystal Skink is a creature intended to solve the issue of Crystal gathering and transportation (especially on Aberration, where the only creature to reduce Crystal weight is a Ravager). This is meant to be a late-game tame that can cause hazards when encountered in the wild, especially if a Survivor is ambushed by a Crystal Skink disguised as a Crystal formation. While not as powerful as a Reaper, it possesses an "alternate" dynamic to the Reaper - being buffed by Charge Light instead of weakened by it. This creature also allows exploration of the Surface during the day - an ability that is currently impossible, and I've always felt would be a fun addition. (Plus glowing crystal armor on its body and projected onto nearby allies! Who doesn't like glowing stuff?!) Real-world recreation of the Tiliqua Frangens I'm more than happy to incorporate feedback for the idea, these are just my initial thoughts on the design. Thanks for reading!
  10. Diamantinasaurus The Behemoth Cave Sauropod Art by Brian Engh from dontmesswithdinosaurs.com Dossier- Name: Diamantinasaurus Time: Late Cretaceous🕰️ Diet: Herbivore🌱 Temperament: Neutral😐 Wild The Diamantinasaurus is a colossal herbivorous sauropod from Australia commonly found in both the green and blue zones. Large plates that adorn the Diamantinasaurus' back serve as protection against predators and the radiation within the Ark. Unlike most herbivores, the Diamantinasaurus possesses a highly developed sense of aggression when threatened, enabling it to fiercely defend itself by utilizing its immense size and powerful tail to fend off potential predators. In the wild, the Diamantinasaurus employs its large front limbs to pound the ground, similar to the roll rat, in order to unearth gems. Taming When taming the Diamantinasaurus, its back plates will glow in either green, blue, or red, corresponding to the three gems found in each zone. These colours will alternate during the taming process. The survivor will then need to drop the gem that matches the colour of the plates. However, once the Diamantinasaurus consumes a gem, it becomes aggressive, and any attempt to ride a mount will result in the Diamantinasaurus knocking the rider off. The taming time will depend on the level of the Diamantinasaurus and the difficulty of obtaining the required gems, so survivors must come prepared. Domesticated Once domesticated, the Diamantinasaurus can be utilized to significantly enhance the efficiency of harvesting various gem nodes scattered across the diverse zones of Ark Aberration. In addition to this valuable capability, the Diamantinasaurus possesses other abilities and utilities that make it a versatile asset in this challenging environment. Primitive dual catapult saddle: the catapults mounted on the Diamantinasaurus are reminiscent of the trolls' catapults from Lord of the Rings. Positioned on either side of the Diamantinasaurus, they accommodate two individuals, much like the seating arrangement on an Amargasaurus saddle. This setup serves as both a PvP strategy and an alternative to taming the Karkinos, albeit with the inherent risk of the Karkinos still having the capability to snatch the two individuals operating the catapults. It is worth noting that the saddle itself can sustain damage through extensive use, but higher tiers of saddles may possess greater durability. Radiation protection saddle: despite its higher cost compared to the primitive alternative, boasts infinite durability without the inclusion of the two catapults. It provides the rider and two others with protection from the radiation in the red zone, as well as from the effects of the spores found in both the green and blue zones. Attacks Ground pound: will dismount players from dinos and will harvest more gems from nodes Reduced weight from gems Tail swipe: pushes back dinos and harvests berries and thatch Charge: breaks through wood and thatch however has a large cooldown Passive abilities Dorsal plates will glow with corresponding buff in each zone green, blue and red- Green higher speed Blue quicker cooldown and larger AOE of ground pound Red Higher defense/attack and the dorsal plates will grow thicker and sharper Passively produces light in all zones
  11. We have only one type of shark that being the meg what about the saw shark this prehistoric saw shark comes to 12 feet in length it could be used as a harvester of organic polymer and angler gel it could also be used as a grinder while in packs these sharks can do enough damage to tear apart Tusos and Mosas and will actively hunt jelly fish. you would have to fish it up from the ocean with angler gel once at the surface you would have to feed it organic polymer while having a bug repellent on.
  12. ~Image Not to Scale~ Note: While I originally designed this for SE, all of the traits still more or less apply to Ragnarok. Name: Paraentelodon Tamable: Yes Ridable: Yes Taming Method: Passive Diet: Carnivore Temperament: Mostly Inquisitive and Playful, Occasionally Violent Breedable: Yes Wild: Unlike its smaller entelodont cousin, Daeodon, Paraentelodon normally reside in the less hostile, and more open, regions of the ARK, travelling in small groups of 3 to 4. Unlike the Daeodon, Paraentelodon is not usually hostile unless provoked, or hungry. Despite their brute like appearance, they are rather quite intelligent and inquisitive, often spending their time playing with each other or other creatures. Of course this form of "playing" does involve charging and ramming into each other at high speeds, however, their thick bones and dense muscles can easily ward off any injuries that might occur. This, of course, cannot be said for the other creatures they like to "play" with, but they generally don't mean to bring them any harm, usually. Taming: Due to their "playfulness", taming such a beast can be quite, interesting. In order to tame one you must walk towards the one you would like to tame with shield in hand. It will begin to investigate you slightly before performing a playful gesture. You must then raise up your shield and ready you body for imminent pain. The Paraentelodon will then begin to buck in excitement before turning away and running, while the others back away. It will then rapidly turn around and begin to rip up the ground, signaling an imminent charge. Once it charges, you must wait until it is very close, with shield in blocking position, and jump to the side at the last minute, dodging it's attack. You must then repeat this process until it is tamed. But be careful, occasionally it will nod its head to the left or right, signaling an incoming swipe attack while charging in the corresponding direction. The player MUST NOT jump in the opposite direction of the swipe, as the Paraentelodon will see this as a sign of cowardice, causing it to loose taming effectiveness, or if done too many times, the full loss of the tame, and sending the beast into a mild rage mode, like the Andrewsarcus. It is important to make sure you are absolutely prepared with, at least, a good quality riot, and similarly good quality armor, as if you mess up the dodge, a strike would most likely cause the immediate destruction of the shield, and potentially instant death. Domesticated: The great struggle to tame Paraentelodon does not come without great reward however. The beast is to be fitted with heavy metal plates, forming a collapsible war-shield. This saddle also comes fitted with ammo bags, functioning very similarly to the ammo box of GEN 2. Paraentelodon, while it does take time to come up to speed, is incredibly fast and agile, despite it's great size. Once at these speeds it can perform various ramming and swipe attacks causing not only great damage to meat an metal alike, but also great torpidity, although it is not recommended as a knockout tamer. Do to its robust tusks, it is capable of foraging uncommon resources from nodes and corpses alike, such as black pearls from silica pearls, keratin and or fur from creatures that don't drop it, and many others. It is also capable of consistently harvesting the maximum amount of tribute items from the corresponding creature. It's most useful purpose, however, is its use as a war mount. Once signaled, it will dip its head low to the ground, and pneumatic pistons shall erect the mighty great-shield of the saddle. Towering over even carnos, and featuring a slot to allow to rider to shoot forward from behind the shield. This shield will be capable of fending off even the most powerful of foes, from rexes, yutis, and wyverns, to deathworms, golems, and even the mighty manticore. It can even be colored with elaborate patterns, possibly even like a metal billboard. Even on their own, they are mighty warriors. In groups however, they are even more powerful. forming a mighty phalanx of abundant flesh and steel, pushing forwards towards every foe, without even a single twinge of fear.
