  1. Looking to join a tribe that has is active. I play on a PlayStation and I have a little over 400 hours on Ascended and a little over 400 hours on Evolved. I have only started playing this about a month ago but have been doing expensive research to play catch up to others in the game. Looking to farm, build, mine, and other tasks that will allow for the progression of the Tribe. Any information pertaining to joining will be much appreciated.
  2. Who are we? So last month the same as most individuals me and my tribe members (also close friends irl) made the jump to ASA. There are currently three of us in total (myself included) with the later addition of two others. Myself and my tribe have over 3k hours combined. We are all very advanced players through both PvP and PvE servers. Having killed all end game bosses and taken part in numerous alpha tribes, as well as taking down a lot also. 😜 Recuitment: What are we looking for you may ask? The truth is, we aren’t like other players. We don’t care if you’ve been playing since release, played 1k hours or if you and your new local buddies Bob and Human have just started out and tamed your first lvl 8 dodo. Right now we’re looking for numbers, opportunities to grow. We want to go on this experience together. With the end goal becoming an alpha tribe to then becoming thee alpha of all alpha tribes. Every single one of of us is not scared to get our hands dirty, we all understand the mechanics of the game l. With the main mechanic being grinding. Unfortunately for the games sake, we all have a weird like for this mechanic. All we ask of you is that your willing to chip in, grow our PvP empire with us and most of all have fun. Over to you; So if you (solo), a couple or a group of you are interested in merging with both ourselves and others, then don’t hesitate to message me and reach out. I will always reply as soon as possible. Just send me a little bit of information on yourself/ves and we can get on our way.. - Nationality. - Age. - Experience. - Hours played. We look forward to hearing from you all and potentially making future friendships! Feel free to hit me up on my discord: Wanglock#8577
  3. There is no straight irrigation pipe in the game rn, only intake and outlet
  4. A tool that had a couple uses I think next-gen Ark could use (especially considering the kinds of old farms we find in game). - Harvesting for Sand, slower animation but can insta pull any hand picked plant on the ground for easier base "Weeding" when you have bushes in your floor with a slightly longer range than your hand so it can get them even if you cant. - Has a higher chance to unearth seeds from plants when digging. - Dedicated Tool for Farming that let's you quickly transfer Fertilizer from Bins and Tames to Plots, dig up plants from their plots quickly, and also for free form digging crop plot substitutes in mounds as an even more primitive and basic tier of farming. - Deals copious amounts of Torpor to targets from headshots, can headshot, knock your friends out with a Shovel, or show the tek-geeks on the server who's boss. Is basically the spiritual successor to the Wooden Club. Seriously why don't we have a Mace? - Perhaps if used at a precise time it could parry and halve the damage of an incoming attack? The Shovel likely could be made out of stone but I think it'd be better if it was made of Metal, same as all the more specialized tools like the Crossbow, Sword and Sickle. A primitive version that could be used for Primitive Plus or such could be made from Chitin. Farming is a little expanded to go with the Shovel and has more things like placement and plot types as well as some plant variations. - New Table For Plant Seed Harvesting based on Biome - (The normal drops would happen but up to half of the yield will contribute to the plants native to the biome your foraging in, encouraging more use and exploration of certain biomes.) - Tropical (Beaches, Small Islands, Coves) - Amarberry, Coconut, Palm Tree. - Temperate (Forests and Low Altitude Grasslands) - Tintoberry, Apple Tree, Rockarrot and Savoroot are more common. - Arid - Silk Flowers, Small Cactus, Large Cactus Trees,Joshua Trees. - Subterranean - Aquatic Mushroom, Ascerbic Mushroom, Auric Mushroom, Aggeravic Mushroom, Mushroom Trees. - Jungle - Azulberry, Giant Melons, Rare Mushroom. - Alpine/Mountain -Mejoberry, Rare Flower, Pumpkins. - All - Stimberry, Narcoberry l, Rockarrot, Savoroot, Citronal, Longrass. - Breakdown - - Berries all naturally grow across the Arks like usual, but will be harvested more frequently in up to 50% higher proportion of yield in their respective biomes. These biomes are - Beach (Amarberry), Deciduous Forests/Grassland (Tintoberry), Jungle (Azulberry), and Alpine/Mountain (Mejoberry). Narcoberries and Stimberries as well as the normal four crops would be present in all biomes. - Other Plant-based resources' seeds can now be harvested, this may require a dinosaur or a tool. Like Pegomastax (Yes they harvest bushes), Gigantipithecus, Iguanodon, Moschops, Therizinosaurus or Direbear. So any skilled Fiber or Bush Gatherer who isn't just a lumbering weight dino. The following examples of resources that can be cultivated and their native biomes are Arid (Desert) - Silk, Cactus (Patch and Small) Subterranean (Caves) - Aberration's unique Mushrooms Jungle - Rare Mushroom Alpine/Mountain - Rare Flower - Trees are also a resource, the seeds of specific ones native to the biome can be harvested by skilled wood harvesters. Tropical - Palm Tree (Thatch and Wood) Temperate - Various forest trees (Wood) Arid - Joshua Trees and Large Cactus Trees. Subterranean - Giant Mushrooms, maybe even glowing trees. Jungle - Whatever Trees they used for Ark's jungles. Alpine/Mountain - Pine and Firs etc. - There are new advanced crops that can be found and each have their own benefits and places as favorites of certain dinosaurs. Some of then I have names or name ideas for but the naming method they use for crops and Berries is really odd so idk. For some of these, I've seen the names used by the maker of the mod The Hunted and they're pretty good so if you want reference go check those out. The New Crops are - Ambercrisps - Or just crisps. These are grown from trees found in Normal Temperate Forests rarely. They are Apples and are a favored treat for many mammalian herbivores and omnivores, notably Equus, Megaloceros, Casteroides (Beavers) and Megatherium. Rubells - Sweet and delicious tiny fruits that grow in bushes in the dense Redwood Forests. They are the favored food of smaller dinosaurs such as the Pegomastax, Direbear, Gigantopithecus, Jerboa, Mesopithecus and Doedicurus. Coconuts - Large nuts found on some palms on the beach, these can be invaluable as an early game resource, providing food and water, but also as a taming resource for beach going dinosaurs. These are favored primarily by dinosaurs and beach spawns such as Dodos, Lystrosaurus, Moschops, Trike, Iganodon, Carbonemys and Parasaur. Pumpkin - A gourd that grows in the hills and fields of higher altitudes. It's thick skin makes it tough to break into without tools or creatures. They are a favored food of many larger creatures like Wooly Rhinos, Megatherium, Kentros, Ankylos and most other mammals who can. Giant Melon - These huge and juicy fruits can be found only in the deep jungles of the Arks, only growing where it is lush and deeply rich in resources. They are the favored food of many large and lumbering dinosaurs such as Stegos, Amargasaurus, Paracers, Diplodocus, Pachycephalosaurus and Pachyrhinosaurus. - New Crop Plots - The Standard Crop Plot is not enough and should be expanded from its original design, especially if they don't plan on letting you plant directly in the ground from tilling etc. Not only can they be made into different shapes, more than just triangles, they could be made from other materials, maybe allowing for more than just more appearances, but foe planting special and/or map specific resources like the Mushrooms unique to Ab, or the Cactus, Silk Flowers and Joshua Trees from Scorched and Desert biomes. They could also grow more than just normal bush and ground plant crops and be used to plant Trees, even if they would maybe have area limits or be only foe decoration in some cases. Tall Crop Plot - Is deeper than the others and allows planting bushes and medium sized plants bigger than just the normal crops sort of like a decorative planter. Row Plot - Has 3 plantable slots in a row to make more seamless garden plots, all plants have a greater storage of water and Fertizlier. Circular Plot (Small, Medium and Large) - Able to plant anything any Plot could based on size limitations. Mostly for decoration but also for having a centerpiece for most setups. Stone, Adobe, Mushroom Wood and Metal available tiers for all constructed Crop Plots mot made by using a Shovel or other Tilling method using tools or dinosaurs. - New Pipe Types - Adobe Pipes - Literally just for looks so scorched has a more natural fitting pipe appearance. Sprinkler - Has an extended range over the tap and waters crops but cannot be drank from or used to fill containers. Attaches onto a pipe with water in it. Grounded Water Resevoir - Is the same as the Water Resevoirs but snaps to the ground and has to be attached to other pipes by a flex pipe or started from the Resevoir's pipe link. Comes in Stone, Adobe and Metal versions as well as a large one. Large Water Reservoir - Holds twice as much water as its normal counterpart. Twice as big. But also twice as durable.
  5. So I've always wanted the growing system to be expanded upon because literal squares of dirt isn't enough and we can't plant any trees, decorative plants or bushes even, especially without the huge edges of the crop plots. But what would really be nice is for some dinos to recieve the abilities to interact with, improve and help assist with the farming itself. We can get better farming stuff but the dinos would help flesh the system out more and let it be more manageable without solely relying on the player or encouraging them to download a mod that does so like the S+ npc structures that tend to them and do other tasks automatically. Examples, including ways to make previously less used dinos even better. Phiomia/Dung Beetle - Fertilizer Partners, or Cooperation - The Dung Beetles in Ark eat poop, and we have dinos like the Oviraptor that can pick up eggs, and ones that auto gather, why not have Dung Beetles do the same? While Phiomias poop, Dung Beetles will automatically move to pick up any and start turning it into Fertilizer. They could even automatically deposit the fertilizer to plots in close proximity, although it's not needed, the automatic creation of Fertilizer could be enough. Parasaur - Fertilizer Deposit - Parasaurs don't get used for much in the game, which is a shame, I think a lot of old dinosaurs could stand to be given some needed TLC and complexity, just slapping a bleed, a pack buff and a model overhaul on it ain't cutting it (no matter how much Wildcard loves solving most of their outdated dino problems with it) the Parasaur however could be very useful in managing farming Plots. Because of its general disuse in combat, why not agriculture? It usually doesn't leave the base after you get stronger dinos, so this is perfect to continue being able to have a use for it. Parasaurs could automate the collection of and the depositing of resources used to grow the crops. Whether this could be future things and resources for farming we don't have yet in a reworked system, the same old Poop and Fertilizer, or even a range of types of Fertilizers made to be used for specific plants or uses (Rotten Meat, Chitin or Minerals, Clay, Leech Blood, etc) the Parasaur is the go between and go's from Survivor's First Lawnmower to Farmhand. Their main ability would be to collect finished Fertilizers from the inventory of Dung Beetles, enabling them to keep wandering without being weighed down. Then to place them in the Crop Plots nearby that need them the most. This could even give an initial grow bonus on your first plants so they don't take so long to mature. Sort of like a nanny buff but for plants. Iguanodon/Pegomastax - Seed Collector - Iguanodons don't get used for much beyond maybe mass producing certain seeds once in a blue moon, and Pegos are tamed even less often, even less intentionally, even when they have a gathering ability themselves for bushes. But Iganodons are the perfect option to help improve farms in a way that isn't noticed at first. Their seed-gathering abilities could be used to produce some new items over time, by wandering around crop plots, they will automatically gather the types of seeds of those plants, and those seeds could be used to craft things like Feed, a shelf stable food for herbivores that isn't as expensive as Kibble. Pegomastax could also do this, they have an auto gather function for bushes and could do this on a less effective scale, but as a bonus could provide autgathering from your Berry plants as well as small amounts of seeds in addition. Pachycephalosaurus/Pachyrhinosaurus/Triceratops - Ploughs and Harvesters - The bone heads of Ark are actually grossly underused, they have such outdated kits that I myself rarely use them, sadly, when there are so many other better options. The Pachy itself is a sad case of not enough uses for something of such a low tier already on the food chain, the same going for the Pachyrhinosaurus. The Trike even still suffers unless it can make use of every perk such as it's Rivalry buff, even if it's still a good option for starting out on a new map. There's no option to have to dig or till the ground for farming, since all of it is done in a plot, but if they ever added an option to plant directly in the ground in tilled earth, such as in Don't Starve where their character Wormwood can plant seeds directly in the ground and their Multi-player version that has an overhauled farming system that used to function actually much like Arks (pre-made Plots that only grow one thing and need care to maintain). There's no reason Ark can't expand its system, and more options for planting would be one of those, as well as Crop Plots that could be made from other materials in order to plant different things like Mushroom Wood for Mushrooms, Flowers and alien resources, or Adobe for Cactus, Silk plants or even Joshua Sap Trees, you could start with just being able to dig dirt to make planting locations in either rows or small mounds. Pachycephalosaurus and the other 2 horned dinos can be used for thise purpose, they could be some of the only dinos able to do it and the only way to do it without a tool for it. But also, they can even be used for 2 other contrasting options. They could harvest the plants while ploughing through them. Enabling you to quickly gather all your yields and haul them off. This would of course be much better with the bigger versions of these creatures, thus the reason to tame whichever one you prefer and give options for one's maybe not available. Every map has at least one of these dinosaurs. But the main point of these is that they would be actively used dinos, for auto harvesting you could put them in but it depends on if such a thing would ever be in the game as well as much of the other perks of dinos I've listed here. Giant Bees/Lymantria/Araneo and smaller dinos - Pollenation and Efficency Boosts - I long have loved building my greenhouses as large Glass Structures that can fully house not only my Plots and the other types of structures and Stations one might want near their Greenhouse but also to be able to hold multiple wandering insects from the dino roster, mainly Bee Queens (Still present in the world and not turned into a hive), Lymantria and sometimes Dung Beetles. There's a severe lack of small creatures like this sometimes i notice around the base and in general to be used in Ark. There's no reason for most creatures to wander xause one wrong wall clip can end up in a dead dino outside of your base (I've had this happen myself with frogs and I unfortunately had to put them on a still respite by their pond) But if there's one thing that's definitely nice to see and use these creatures for its to turn your Greenhouse into an Apiary full of creatures that make it seem so much more alive. Despite all the weird flora in Ark you can't decorate with giant mushrooms, flowers, bushes, or anything really. There's almost not semblance of decoration in the game, it's why mods like Eco's is so popular. That's why insects and other small dinos could be a way to serve various bonuses to having and maintaining a Greenhouse full of your creatures. Archaeopteryx - Periodically harvests Chitin from Plots (lore is that they eat insects naturally attracted to plants, like most would be) and is able to auto harvest Honey from Hives. Giant Bee - Increases efficiency of nearby Beehives and causes Beehives to improve crop yield of all nearby Crop Plots. These Plots can randomly grow 10-30x of their respective resource if the Bee Queen visits it. Lymantria (Moth) - Plants of the same type will cause each other to grow faster than usual, meaning up to 10 of a specific crop in the same area can grow up to 3x faster with a Lymantria nearby. Araneo (Spider) - Reduces the rate of Fertizlier Consumption by all nearby Plots by killing all the fictional bugs that would be attracted to plants and letting their corpses be used as natural compost. Compsagnathus - Nips weeds and pests in the bud, collecting their resources overtime depending on the plants (Rare flowers, Rare Mushrooms, Chitin, Turret Plant Species Seeds, Leech Blood) Microraptor - Auto Harvests and deposits Rare Flowers into Beehives as needed. Jerboa - Will automatically gather any crop and place the yield into a nearby beast of burden dino or trough. (Stegos, Maewings, Amargasaurus, Kentros, Mammoth) Achatina (Snail) - These snails will ensure that hydration is never an issue, protecting plants from drying out, and their Paste will also help give tiny increments of Fertilizer to the counts of the Crops it trails over. Dodo - Automatically Fertilizes crops in small amounts. Lystrosaurus - Increases the efficiency of all Berry Plants and causes you to gain bonus XP from doing farm chores. Arthropluera - Increases the efficiency of other Insects. - Other Mentions of Creatures who could play active and/or passive roles and be used for farming. Stego/Maewing/Amargasaurus/Kentros/Mammoth - These dinos could all be used as targets for auto harvesters to deposit the yields of resources into. Morellatops - Works as the Pipe and Tap system that can water crops, as long as it has a source nearby (Well, Tap, Natural Water) it can refill itself and deposit it to any thirsty plants. If you for some reason either have a grudge against Pipes or don't want them cluttering your Gardens, having one of these could be a new option. Casteroides (Beaver)/Mammoth - Could harvest grown trees if they were made a thing. Megaloceros (Deer)/Wooly Rhino - The same thing as the Mammoth and Beaver but for Thatch, maybe when harvesting Palm trees too it gives more? Gignatopithecus/Most Fiber Gatherers - Fiber gathered from crops automatically when Wandering. Therizinosaurus - Reaps the crops it harvests, destroying them but gathering all of their contents ans converting the plant to its natural resources (Aka - Wood and Thatch for Trees, Fiber for most plants, maybe Silk or Mushroom Wood depending on plant types) Kentro/Amargasaurus - The Equivalent of a huge Tractor, they can harvest mass quantities of crops at once without any Seeds. They are for active use only but are a huge benefit if you have a long field of crops and not enough time or weight on smaller haulers like the Trike. The Kentro could do this on a smaller scale if you don't have one but would harvest automatically on Wander. Moschops - The Moschops is able to scavenge in your garden for a variety of different resources, able to gather any miscellaneous resource you could possible gather from a plant based on the type over time when Wandering near them (Silk. Sap, Organic Polymer, Rare Mushroom, Fiber, etc.) Unicorn - Crops produce rare resources more often, and one crop may randomly grow a large quantity of it yield (very rare, just an idea but would be interesting if the Unicorn's magical nature could be utilized, if Liopluerodons can have mechanics like magic then so can these.)
  6. I present to you the Blattotermes species, something never seen before in Ark: GIANT TERMITES, which I think is something that would bring a lot of exciting content to the game! HISTORICAL CONTEXT Blattotermes was a genus of prehistoric termites that inhabited North America, France, and northern Australia during the Paleocene. Today they only retain a relationship with the Mastotermes species, which is found only in Northern Australia. LOCATION AND DESCRIPTION These termites inhabit mounds in the Wasteland biome. A termite mound can be recognized by a distinctive sound when approaching, as well as being able to see worker, soldier, and spy termites around. There are different types of termites that serve different functions in the nest. TAMING To tame these creatures, you must first find one of their colonies in a mound. Hitting it with a metal axe, metal pickaxe, metal sword, or metal spear will create an ever-widening hole. Hitting it will deal damage to the player similar to collecting honey. Once the hole has been completely opened, some type of explosive must be inserted into the hole, for example throwing a grenade. When doing this, the different types of termites will begin to attack the player, in a wave system. All these creatures will be of the same level as the queen and king. 1st wave. Soldier termites and worker termites. 2nd wave. Soldier termites, worker termites, and spies termites. 3rd wave. All of the above and guards termites. Once all the termites have been eliminated, the queen termite and the king termite will appear, which are the only ones that can be tamed. In order to tame the queen termite, you will need to approach it after you have consumed an insect repellant, and feed it rhyno horns. On the other hand, the king termite is rather friendly, so it will not be necessary to use insect repellent to tame it. However, it will come out attached to the queen, and if the queen feels threatened, it will eat the king termite. It is recommended to tame the queen first, then passively tame the king with charcoal. BREEDING The king and queen Blattotermes are the only ones that can be tamed, the rest are only obtained through breeding. You can't breed kings or queens. Fertilization: the queen is rather exquisite, so to get pregnant, she must be in a dark room alone with the King, with a warm temperature. Again, they want privacy, so if you walk into the room to interrupt while they're in the act, they'll stop. The queen will lay an egg, similar to those of pulmonoscorpius. You will need to incubate it, and a baby nymph will emerge. To claim the nymph when it hatches, it must be fed a specific food that will determine what type of termite it will be. • To make it a worker termite, you must feed it with wood. • To be a soldier, the baby will have to be fed with phosphorus. • To be a spy, the baby will have to be fed with vegetables. • To be a guard, the baby will have to be fed Sarcosuchus Skin. During their growth, the type of termite will already be determined, so they all can eat wood. Except for the king and queen, termites have no gender. If a mutation occurs, it will be stored in the Queen, so the next nymph that comes out will also have that mutation unless it was previously discarded. DIFFERENT TYPES AND ROLES - Blattotermes Queen: • Temperament: run away • Diet: wood • When killing a specimen, it will drop chitin and meat. It is about the size of a Maewing and is the most disgusting termite. Its only function is to breed new termites. It cannot be mounted, and it creeps very slowly when following you. If it is near to another creature breeding, the chances of this creature's baby getting a mutation will increase on a 5%. - Blattotermes King: • Temperament: friendly • Diet: wood It is the smallest termite of all. It has the function of fertilizing the queen termite. • When killing a specimen, it will give chitin and meat. As a special ability, you can set routes for the other termites. That is, you can create a path which the termites you select will follow, in addition to establishing areas where the termites can stop for a period of time and do some type of activity that you choose on their own. For example, imagine creating a path that you want your worker termites to follow, stop at an area where there are resources, collect them for 60 seconds, drop everything they've collected in a vault, and continue on the path. Or another example, you want your termite guards to take the vault full of resources collected by the workers, bring it back to your base, empty it into other vaults in your base, and bring the vault back to where it was. This is a method to automate farming and base tasks. • The king termite is obviously not mountable, but it can be carried on the shoulder and it will be able to generate markers that will mark the path that you want to establish and the areas where the termites will stop to do activities. Each king can only create one termite path, and the higher the king's level, the longer the path he creates can be. (King and Queen) - Worker Blattotermes: • Temperament: aggressive • Diet: wood They are about the size of a thyla and can be equipped with a Blattotermes saddle to ride them. • When killing a specimen, its body will drop meat and chitin. • 30% weight reduction on wood, stone, metal, crystal and obsidian. • Left click: bite. It only damages straw and wooden structures. You can collect wood, fungal wood and thatch. It can be configured to just get one type of resource. • Right click: headbutt. If held down, he will lunge along with the headbutt, dealing more damage and granting more resource pickup. Damages thatch, wood and stone structures. You can collect stone, flint, metal, crystal, rare mushrooms, obsidian, and oil. It can be configured to just get one type of resource. • If there is a group of 3 to 5 worker termites, the one with the highest level will be the leader of the group, so the rest will follow what the leader does if they are on a route established by the king termite (so as not to having to configure all the termites to follow the route). All party members will receive a 10% buff upon increased resource collection and an additional 20% weight reduction on wood, stone, metal, and crystal. • X: the leader can activate an extra buff that will cause stasis in all the termites in the group, causing the weight of what they carry in their inventory to be reduced by 90% for 30 seconds. It has a cooldown of 90 seconds. • C: If you press C in front of a wall, you will be able to climb walls and ceilings without consuming energy. If the leader of the group switches to climbing mode, the rest will also climb. • 30% armor to attacks. • If they are on one of the routes created by a king termite, they will be able to stop at a point to collect resources that are in the area for a certain time. In addition, before returning to the road, they can be configured to leave the collected in a vault. • However, one of the points on the route must be a rest area, since 8 hours (of ARK) a day, they must rest. This is ONLY if they are on a route. If the leader goes to rest, the other members will copy it. They can also be put to rest manually. • The idea is that these termites collect less material than other farming animals (less metal than an ankylo or less wood than a teryzino), but having the possibility of combining with farming routes means having a passive farming that will give better results and comfort. • If they are part of a group, and another of the termites in the group dies, they will receive a sadness buff for 90 seconds, which will give a 40% speed reduction, a 30% increase in vulnerability to damage and a 25% damage reduction. - Soldier Blattotermes: • Temperament: aggressive • Diet: wood Its size is roughly twice that of its worker counterpart. It has larger and stronger venomous claws than any other type of termite. They can be equipped with a Blattotermes saddle to ride them. • Upon killing an individual, its body will drop Meat, Chitin and Blattotermes Venom. • Weight reduction of 15% in wood, and 50% in meat, rotten meat, prime meat, fish, prime fish, chitin, keratin and organic polymer. • Left click: bite more powerful than any other type of termite. Damages thatch, wood and stone structures. It gathers Chitin, Keratin, Meat, Prime Meat, Fish, Prime Fish, Rotten Meat, and Organic Polymer. It can be configured to just get one type of resource. If held down, it will lunge to bite its prey, the attack will be more powerful and grant bleeding. • Right click. poisonous injection. It will nail its tweezers with which it will inject venom from its labial palp. If held down, a poisonous spit can be released that will damage all sorts of structures, but it won't be as effective as the Arthroplurera's. • If there are groups of 2 to 3 soldier termites, the one with the highest level will be the leader of the group, so the rest will follow what the leader does if they are on a route established by the king termite (so as not to having to configure all the termites to follow the route). All party members will receive a 15% buff at increased damage and an additional 20% damage resistance. • Cntrl: you can grab survivors, small and medium animals with your pincers. When this happens, left-clicking will deal normal damage and right-clicking will cause torpor. • C: If you press it in front of a wall, you can climb walls and ceilings without consuming energy if you are not sprinting. If the leader of the group switches to climbing mode, the rest will also climb. • Space. Jump. If held down and aimed at a wall, it will be able to charge up a jump that will leave you glued to where he has aimed on the wall. • If they are on one of the routes created by a king termite, they can follow and protect the worker, spy and guard termites, as well as stop at a point and attack nearby dinos for a set period of time. It will be possible to establish that of the dinos that they eliminate, they only collect one type of resource, among chitin, keratin, meat, prime meat, rotten meat, fish, prime fish or organic polymer, and that they deposit what they have collected in a vault. • However, one of the points on the route must be a rest area, since 8 hours (of ARK) a day, they must rest. This is ONLY if they are on a route. If the leader goes to rest, the other party members will copy her. They can also be put to rest manually. • Meat, Prime Meat, Rotten Meat, Fish, Prime Fish, and Organic Polymer rot 50% slower in your inventory. • 50% armor to attacks. • They will be able to enter turret mode, in which they will spit out enemies similar to a plant X, but they will fire slower, and the effect will not affect your vision as much and will last less. • A quantity of Blattotermes Venom can be extracted once every 4 hours (from ARK) from their jaws, though this will grant damage and torpor to whoever does so, unless they are wearing a beekeeper, radiation, or tek suit. . This poison will serve as a narcotic. • If they are part of a group, and another of the termites in the group dies, they will receive a sadness buff for 90 seconds, which will grant a 40% speed reduction, a 30% increase in vulnerability to damage and a 25% damage reduction. - Spy or winged Blattotermes: • Temperament: flee, unless they are defending the nest, in which case they will be aggressive. • Diet: wood Its size is similar to the worker termite, but with wings that are twice as long as the termite. They can be equipped with a Blattotermes saddle to ride them. • When killing a specimen, its body will drop meat and chitin. • Weight reduction of 10% in wood, and 50% in berries, rare flowers, fiber, seeds, mushrooms and vegetables. • Left click: bite. Damage thatch and wood structures, and collect berries, mushrooms, fiber, rare flowers, seeds, and vegetables. It can be configured to just get one type of resource. • Right click: scream. It can be set in your inventory to make a scream that scares wild animals, or attracts them. • Space: can fly. If space is held down while aiming at a wall or ceiling, it will stick to it, allowing the rider to use weapons and tools. You can also use them if you are on the ground. If while flying you press space twice, it will start to fly sideways, towards the side the camera is pointed at. Sideways, it will go 20% faster, but it will spend more energy and will not be able to maneuver as well. In normal flight, you will be able to fly forwards and backwards, and turning maneuvers will be very fast. • C: the termite will go underground and can move underground (Similar to basilisk). Time underground will consume oxygen, so it will be limited. Turrets won't detect it, but you won't be able to get through doors or structures below. Parasaurs would detect it. • Cntrl: can grab small dinos and feces. Grabbing a tamed dung beetle and left-clicking will transfer all the fertilizer to the termite's inventory. • If they are on one of the routes created by a king termite, they will be able to stop at a point to collect resources in the area (only the resources that it is capable of collecting) for a certain time and deposit the collected items in a vault, as well as being able to collect fertilizer from nearby dung beetles and distribute it to the crop plots in the area, before continuing on the path. • However, one of the points on the route must be a rest area, since 8 hours (of ARK) a day, they must rest. This is ONLY if they are on a route. They can also be put to rest manually. • Berries, mushrooms, rare mushrooms, rare flowers and vegetables rot 50% slower in your inventory. • 10% armor to attacks. - Blattotermes guard: • Temperament: aggressive • Diet: wood Its size is 1.5 times larger than that of soldier termites, being the largest termite. Their only function in the wild nest is to protect the queen. They have hard plates attached to their bodies that serve as a shield and covers them entirely except their head and legs. They are very slow but resistant and strong. They can be equipped with a Blattotermes saddle to ride them. • When killing a specimen, its body will drop meat and chitin. • Weight reduction of 50% in wood, and very good statistics in weight. • Left click: bite. Destroy thatch and wooden structures. It is unable to gather any resources other than wood. • Right click: headbutt. If held down, it will charge up a lunge that ends with a headbutt, and will expend quite a bit of energy. • C: defensive mode. The termite will crouch, and with its plates it will cover its whole body and the rider. It will cost energy. In this mode you can very slowly move forward, backward, left or right. • Cntrl: You will be able to pick up structures, place them in other places, and even empty their contents in other storages. • If they are on one of the routes created by a king termite, they will be able to pick up all types of storages, take them to another point, empty their contents in other storages, and return them back where they were. They are a method of transporting resources. • However, one of the points on the route must be a rest area, since 8 hours (of ARK) a day, they must rest. This is ONLY if they are on a route. They can also be put to rest manually. • His plates have 85% armor to attacks. In the rest of the body, (head and legs) they have 15% armor to attacks. ALL TERMITES ARE VULNERABLE TO FIRE IN-GAME EVOLUTIONS IN ADULTHOOD By carrying out certain activities, they will be able to unlock skills that can be activated in the inventory. You can only have one ability for each key, so if one of the abilities is activated, it will be irreversible and the other will not be able to be activated. When they unlock the skills, they will do a different unique animation than when they level up. Worker Blattotermes: To get the choice of ability on the Cntrl key (cleaning or mud rolling). · To unlock cleaning: take your Blattotermes fishing! After a number of fish caught that will depend on the level of the Blattotermes, you will unlock the ability. When unlocked, the termites can clean themselves, granting a +30% speed buff, -20% energy consumption and x2 experience gain buff to the dino and the player for 60 seconds. 180 second cooldown. · To unlock mud rolling: kill insects with your Blattotermes. After a number of these creatures are eliminated that will depend on the level of the Blattotermes, you will unlock the ability, which consists of the termites getting dirty with mud and dirt, granting a buff of +20% damage and +20% extra armor hits, except bear and sabertooth for 60 seconds. 180 second cooldown. Soldier Blattotermes: To get the skill choice on the X key (ambush or poisonous thorns) · To unlock ambush: kill large dinos with your group of Blattotermes. After a number of dinos have been killed depending on the level of the Blattotermes, you will unlock the ability, which is that, only if they are in a group, the leader can quickly climb up the legs of large dinos. The other termites in the group will also climb after the leader. They will begin to tear at the victim with the powerful bite of their jaws, causing unstackable bleeding, but no cooldown. · To unlock poisonous spines: put a number of dinos to sleep, depending on the level of the Blattotermes, using the ability to grab small and medium dinos with the Cntrl and inject torpor with the right click to unlock this ability that will launch poisonous spines that will grant a great torpor to whoever receives them. Spy Blattotermes: To get the skill choice on the X key (Invisibility or Night Vision) • To unlock invisibility: scare a number of wild animals, depending on the level of the Blattotermes, with the right click scream. Invisibility costs stamina. It will not be detected by the parasaur, but by turrets. • To unlock night vision: attract a number of wild animals, depending on the level of the Blattotermes, with the right click scream (I remind you the right click scream can be set to scare dinos or to attract them). The night vision is similar to the Snow Owl's one and it costs stamina. Guard Blattotermes: To get the choice of ability on the X key (earthquake or wall plate) • To unlock Earthquake: Eliminate a number of creatures, which depends on the Blattotermes level, having hit them at the beginning with the right-click headbutt. Earthquake is that with its front legs, it hits the ground very powerfully, causing a movement that damages all kinds of structures, friendly or enemy, and stuns nearby dinos and survivors for 5 seconds. 20 second cooldown, and cannot be used in defensive mode • To unlock Wall Plate: Take a total number of damage, which depends on the level of the Blattotermes, while it's in defensive mode. With Wall Plate, the Blattotermes turns the plates covering her body into a wall and places it in front of it. The health of the wall depends on how much health the termite has. The turrets will detect the wall as an enemy dino, so they will shoot at it. The plates will take 40 seconds to regenerate, during which time the termite will be much more vulnerable. Cannot be used in defensive mode. BIOMIZATION During adolescence, termites are able to get used to life in different environments. • If they go on a walk through the water when they are teenagers, when they reach adulthood they will swim much faster, and they will have the ability, regardless of the type of termite it is, by pressing X in the water to walk on the seabed. In addition, your oxygen will also be increased very considerably. • If the same is done on the redwood, they will gain immunity to surprise attacks from microraptor and purlovia. • If, on the other hand, teenagers ride through the snow, as adults they will grant a buff of cold resistance and reduced food consumption to their rider, which will last up to 20 seconds after the player gets off the mount. • The same can be done with heat and water consumption, as well as getting a new ability that allows the termite to increase its body temperature in order to hatch eggs (less effective than a dimetrodon) if teenagers walk through the Lava Biome. • If they walk through the jungle, they will gain the ability to see the bags of dinos or dead enemies, such as the wolf and the fjordhawk. • Finally, if this is done in the swamp, it will gain the ability to grant protection from leeches, which will remain for up to 20 seconds after dismounting. These adaptations are stackable. PERSONALIZATION AT BIRTH Lastly, the Blattotermes will have some unique traits depending on what biome its egg hatched in. • Jungle Biome: the abdomen will be filled with scales and two small balls will grow at the end of its antennae, which will light up when a maximum level dino is nearby. • Snow Biome: on the abdomen of the Termite a thick fur will grow along with small keratinous plates protruding like thorns, which can be lighted up and serve to scare away predators. • Swamp: it will grow green scales on its back that will turn another color when a Survivor or enemy creature is nearby. • Redwood: small keratinous plates protruding like thorns will grow on the back and they will get pointy if there are microraptors, purlovias, thylacoleos or another termite colony nearby. • Lava Biome: its legs and head will take on a volcanic red color similar to burning lava and small thorns will grow on his head, which can be pulled out from time to time and will serve to repair any broken tool or weapon from its inventory. I think this dino would have a great future in ark, due to the immense amount of content it provides and the innovation that the home automation system with termites would bring. It took me a lot to think about everything and create the dossier, so thank you very much for reading this! ❤️ I am widely open to suggestions, ideas, etc.
  7. I present to you the Blattotermes species, something never seen before in Ark. At first I thought of some kind of ants, but I wanted to do something innovative and that has never existed in Ark: GIANT TERMITES, which I think is something that would bring a lot of exciting content to the game! HISTORICAL CONTEXT Blattotermes was a genus of prehistoric termites that inhabited North America, France, and northern Australia during the Paleocene. Today they only retain a relationship with the Mastotermes species, which is found only in Northern Australia. LOCATION AND DESCRIPTION These termites inhabit trees in the Redwood biome as parasites. There are different types of termites that serve different functions in the nest. They can be found at the Redwood Biome. TAMING To tame these creatures, you must first find one of their colonies in a Redwood tree. IDEAS OF HOW IT COULD LOOK LIKE https://the-american-godzilla.fandom.com/wiki/Termite_Queen https://the-american-godzilla.fandom.com/wiki/Giant_Mutant_Termites I think this dino would have a great future in ark, due to the immense amount of content it provides and the innovation that the home automation system with termites would bring. It took me a lot to think about everything and create the dossier, so thank you very much for reading this! ❤️ I am widely open to suggestions, ideas, etc.
  8. Posted June 4 Name: Shantungosaurus ‭(‬Shantung lizard‭)‬. Phonetic: Shan-tung-o-sore-us. Named By: Hu‭ ‬-‭ ‬1973. Synonyms: Zhuchengosaurus maximus. Classification: Chordata,‭ ‬Reptilia,‭ ‬Dinosauria,‭ ‬Ornithischia,‭ ‬Ornithopoda,‭ ‬Hadrosauridae,‭ ‬Saurolophinae. Species: S.‭ ‬giganteus‭ (‬type‭)‬. Diet: Herbivore. Size: Largest individuals approaching up to 15 to 16.5 meters long. Known locations: China‭ ‬-‭ ‬Shandong Peninsula‭ ‬-‭ ‬Wangshi Formation. Time period: Late Cretaceous. Fossil representation: Partial remains of many individuals allowing for composite reconstructions. I'm not good at making drawings, but I'm gonna try to describe him with some images. Well my Idea is for Shantugosaurus but in really in steroids to compete with gigas and carchas in pvp, but it will help the player a lot in pve, I will say now: Wild:a male wild shant will always be territorial towards other carnivores, due to their size being practically the size of a giga you will be able to watch these animals stand up on two legs and roar making gigas and other predators run in fear. the females are more docile, but they will tolerate your presence up to a certain distance where the indicative is your nostrils flaring and turning red which is a signal for you survivor to run Process of taming: the process of taming these creatures is not that simple, as you will have to throw mushrooms with radiation for them to eat and pray that they don't find you when they eat, as the animal will enter the berserker state where a fold of skin on its The back will swell with blood (like deviljho, representation image below) and its nostrils will be swollen and they will be knocking down everything in sight, but when they leave that state, the animal will be torpor and fall from fatigue, where you can tame it normally. Tamed: once tamed, the female and male will have different roles. The male will have the ability to crop plots on the ground without needing structures and you can switch this to an attack mode where when hitting the enemy with the snout with the spike structure on the snout, the enemy will suffer bleeding and radiation (yes the this animal's attacks emit radiation) and can scare giga-sized creatures. the female will serve as an anti radiation truck for radioactive areas, where she will give an anti radiation aura to the survivor without him needing an anti radiation suit. And when you unlock the tek tecnology, you can make the tek shant saddle, where he gonna have a laser horn to make the plot easiers and with no need of addubing and in the attack mode the laser horn gonna chance where when the shant inflict the hit, Will gonna make the enemies dinos being in beserk and hit each other ( If you have radioactive mushrooms in the inventory) and the female the saddle be equipped with Guns where when the female absorvs enough radiation you can shoot this radiation from this Guns on the back. Abilities: right click: Bite left click: stomp x: Male ( farm mode or damage mode when you continue the press button you gonna make the moves). Female ( she gonna put the anti radiation mode ) C : the fear roar or in the mate companion gonna buff the 2 with more armor and dmg q: stampede 😄
  10. Name: Corythosaurus Temporal appearance: Late Cretaceous Nutrition: Herbivore Habitat: North America Aggressiveness: Neutral (As long as you're not too close to the herd) WILD: I was told that the Corythosaurus (Corytho) is mainly in herds that only roam in large areas. As soon as an enemy is nearby, the Corytho decides to protect his flock as well as his brood. That too until the bitter end. However, it is not known that he attacks any other animals for no reason. To signal to the other Corythos that an enemy is nearby, he makes a loud scream. In addition, someone told me that the Coryrthos are able to build nests in which the eggs are hatched. TAMING: Taming a Corytho is not easy. First of all, you have to wait for a pack to be attacked by an enemy and have to survive. Once that's the case, you'll have to help the Corythos defeat the enemy. BUT BEWARE!!! If you get too close to the Corythos, they will start to see you as an enemy. To prevent this, you should try firearms. Once the enemy has died with your help, the Corythos will give you some confidence. However, this trust is not enough to fully approach the herd. To achieve this, you must continue to kill enemies who want to attack the herd. As soon as you get too close to the herd, this advance will be lost and you will be attacked. If you have managed to gain the full trust of the herd, the herd will allow you to claim one of the babies, as they believe that you can protect the baby well. All you have to do is raise it like a normal baby. Domesticated: Herd bonus: As soon as at least 2 Corythos are together, they will receive a herd bonus. This provides a bonus to health, damage, and resistance to the Yuty's fear buff and the Microraptor/Purlovia buff. This health and damage bonus is amplified the more Corythos are together. In general: The Corytho is able to run very fast with a very large stamina. While his life is comparatively high for his size, his damage is relatively average. Its high weight capacity, also makes it ideal as a construction dino. The Corytho has a weight reduction for: -Wood -Thatch -Berries -Hide -Structures Females: Female corythos are able to act as an efficient nanny. This means that babies who are raised by a Corytho nanny are not only fed and shaped, but the Corytho nanny would give everything to protect the babies. In addition, it gives the babies (ONLY the babies) a buff (motherly love), which causes the babies to consume less food and are shaped twice as fast (possibly more efficiently). Males: Males are good at defending the base. As soon as "Groupleader" (or something similar) is activated in the male's radial menu, the male is able to alert his own tamed dinos, which are standing within a certain radius, to dangers with a scream and give them a buff "For the tribe", which gives them a health and damage bonus to fight the enemy. The male can give this buff not only in the base, but also on the go when dinos are within range. Someone told me that the male Corytho is also suitable for bosses. Controls: left-click: simple attack with the beak right-click: strong attack with the fingers c (only for males): "For the tribe" buff
  11. Wild: For a long time, I wasn't sure how this little sauropod survives in this harsh environment. I assumed that it follows the same strategy as a dodo, meaning it always breeds. But recently I found out that despite it's small size, the magyarosaurus' hide is really thick and the animal itself is suprisingly strong, and because of tihs, it can knock over even larger carnivores by kicking them. Tamed: Some tribes found a way of making use of the strenght of this little sauropod. The strong legs of the magyarosaurus made it an excellent animal to pull heavy things. By connectig a plow to the saddle of the animal, it can make large fields which can be used to grow crops without the need of greenhouses. Utility: As said in the dossier and the title, the magyarosaurus would create a completly new, and easier farming method in the upcoming game. It would work in a way where you would be able to mark a flat area while riding the creature, and then you would be able to plow up the marked territory. You would be able to grow crops without the need to water or fertelize them (fertelizing would make them grow faster but it wouldn't be necessary). You would need more crops to cook from the ones grown this way, but you would be able to store them for a longer time. The plants grown this way would give less crop, making greenhouses still worthy, while adding a new, more fun way of farming, which would also help roleplayers, and the ones who don't like building greenhouses and then having to constantly worry about water and fertilizer for their plants.
