This dinosaur is one of the most bird looking of them all and ARK needs more feather companions. Abilities I feel this bird should be like a parasaur but it rides on your Shoulder. So it should have the Threat detection ability. Taming Like most birds I feel confuciusornis sanctus should like Shiny things. Like metals, black pearls, crystal, etc So you will give it the things above and you will Keep doing this in till it gives you its egg but not all will sometimes they will give you resources or broken Equipment. thank you for reading sorry for not having a dossier.

Hello survivors, I present to you the Giant Moa, also known as Dinornis. Large for a bird, but fairly small for a platform creature. While it's incapable of flying, it makes up for lost time with it's impressive running speed and stamina. It is unaffected by sandstorms and will also protect the rider from the effects of storms and harsh weather. It is in fact tamed during sandstorms, giving them an actual purpose on Scorched! It has the ability to incubate any egg by sitting on it. It can be equipped with a small round platform saddle, large enough for just a few essentials such as a bed and smithy. Hope you like it! Here are a few reasons why I think you should vote for this creature: Paracers are pretty much the fastest platform creature on Scorched, and they are slow! It gives you something to do during sandstorms. It saves using a million torches to incubate wyvern eggs when you don't have an incubator. No other creatures provide a weight reduction for eggs. If that's caught your interest, here's more info about the potential creature: Basic Info Group: Bird Diet: Herbivore Temperament: Docile Equipment Moa Platform Saddle: A small round platform saddle. Can be ridden with or without the saddle. Dossier "Wild: From a distance, the Moa could easily be mistaken for it's relative, the Emu. Upon approaching it though, it became clear that it was something much, much larger. I'd heard stories about the Giant Moa as a kid, the tallest birds to ever walk the earth, but even in the stories they weren't as big as this! Despite it's humongus size though, it appears to somehow survive on a diet of seeds and berries. For the most part they seem friendly, but friendly shouldn't be mistaken for weak, I've witnessed Moa's shatter the skulls of enemy dinosaurs with their broad sharp beak. Domesticated: While the Moa is relativity easy to befriend, as an adult it doesn't seem to be capable of domestication. It pays no attention to whistles and is definitely not a fan of anyone attempting to climb up onto it's back. Attempts to steal it's eggs don't tend to go well either, the shell is so fragile that the slightest knock can cause it to shatter. The only successful domestication I know of was done by assisting the parents with defending and raising the offspring. It seems well worth the effort though, these things are built for this harsh environment, they are capable of running full speed through a sandstorm, and will happily help incubate other species eggs." Behaviour The Moa is not aggressive until attacked. Once attacked, it will use it's sharp peck and powerful kick to defend against the enemy. Drops Hide Raw Meat Raw Prime Meat Taming Adult Moa's cannot be tamed. To acquire a tamed Moa, the player must build trust with the parents, then claim it's offspring when reaching juvenile. Moa's spawn in pairs, one male and one female. In a panic, the female will lay an egg just before a sandstorm. The egg is extremely fragile and cannot be picked up. Once the sandstorm begins, the male Moa will sit on and incubate the egg. To build trust with the parents, the player must help defend from incoming Titanoboas which are attempting to steal the egg, much like defending an OSD. For each Titanoboa killed, the trust meter HUD above the male will increase. After the sandstorm, the male will stand and the baby will hatch. If the parents trust has reached 100%, the Moa family will now follow the the player. While the baby grows to juvenile, the parents trust must be kept up by ensuring the family is kept together and unharmed. This can be done by leading the family into a safe holding pen. Once the baby reaches juvenile, it can be claimed and the parents are no longer required. If it's food gets low, it must be fed seeds, it will not eat berries until fully grown. Utility Abilities Peck: - A long reaching peck with a small AOE. Kick: - A powerful kick with a large AOE and good knockback from legs. Pick up: [C] - Pick up players, small creatures and babies with beak. Sit: [X] + + - Sit down to incubate eggs or regain stamina faster. Jump: [Space bar] - It's long feathers cause it to have reduced fall speed (when not equipped with the saddle). Roles Egg Incubation: When sitting on eggs, it will provide incubation for any egg type. Levelling 'Incubation effectivness' stat can increase incubation speed to faster than an incubator, but has the limitation of not being able to see the egg stats and info. Egg Transport: With an 80% weight reduction of eggs, decent base weight, and good movement speed, it's eggcellent for transporting them. It will not eat eggs, even if force feeding is attempted. Travel: With impressive running speed, stamina, and immunity to the effects of sandstorms, it's well suited to collecting desert loot crates. While it has no visible wings for gliding like the Terror Bird, when not equipped with the platform saddle, it's feathers help reduce it's fall speed, meaning it can jump great distances from hills and mountains without taking any fall damage. Baby/Small Creature Transport: It can pick up and transport small creatures and babies with it's beak, and will keep them held even when dismounted. Mobile Tent: The Moa is not only immune to the effects of sandstorms, but will also provide the rider with protection much like being in a tent. With an Adobe building on it's platform saddle, it can also provide mobile protection to tribemates. Seed Harvester: The primary peck attack will only harvest seeds from bushes (berries can be harvested with the kick attack). Although the iguanodon is capable of converting berries to seeds, it falls short when it comes to crop seeds, this is where the Moa shines. Seeds are also the required food of baby Moa's. Moa Taming Aid: Due to it's invulnerability to sandstorms, it can be very useful for taming more Moa's by protecting against Titaoboas during the sandstorm phase of the taming process. Mobile Clay Farm: It's ability to harvest both Sand and Cactus Sap combined with a Mortar and Pestle or Chemistry Bench on it's platform saddle, makes it very efficient at farming Clay. Weight Reduction Eggs: 80% Sand: 80% Harvesting Seeds Fibre Thatch Wood Sand Cactus Sap Thank you for all the great suggestions that I have been able to use to update this creature submission! Trigonotarbid! The Megachelon of the Desert!
DarksideGamer333 posted a suggestion in Creature submission archive
Trigonotarbida - Wikipedia Palaeocharinus - Wikipedia Trigonotarbida is a family of extinct arachnids. Distinguished by their bulky look and segmented armored plates. My design for this Trigonotarbid is based off of Palaeocharinus, decided to go with Trigonotarbid as I believe it's a better name. (Tell me if I need to change that in the comments) APPEARANCE & SPAWN This one in particular is a bit larger than a real Trigo, but since when does ARK stay true to sizes? In comparison, the Trigonotarbid would be identical to the Megachelon in size. Trigonotarbids typically have dark orange hue to them, similar to sand, but occasionally, they can appear in other colors such as white, light orange, red, or by rare chance, blue or even black! You can find younger, less experienced Trigos in open areas on the map, usually grouped together in small packs. However, higher leveled, older Trigos can be found in the outer region of the desert, where the most corpses can be found, yet where the most dangerous predators can be found too. SADDLE & TAME METHOD Trigonotarbids, like Megachelons, have natural platform saddles, which would be a game-changer for SE due to the lack of platform-saddle creatures on the map. Their saddle also acts as a mortar and pestle. Trigos, despite their size and apperance, are strictly scavengers, and only feed on corpses or near dying creatures (make sure not to leave a weakened creature nearby!). Their taming method is the same, requiring you to bring corpses of creatures to them in order to tame. Level, Size, and time it takes to consume all influence taming effectiveness. However, Trigos have huge appetites! They can down many corpses before they're full, so make sure to bring plenty to tame one! ACTIVE ABILITIES Like most arachnids(except aranoes lmao), Trigos can climb on vertical surfaces, which is surprising given their size! The powerful legs of this spider can also kick creatures away (kick direction dependent on camera). These titans can also jump, which can lead into a ground-slam, dealing massive damage to anything underneath! Since they feed on corpses, obviously they can drag corpses around. (which could make taming higher level Trigos easier ;>) They also can do a simple bite attack, but more impressively, they can rear up on their hind legs(like a tarantula today) and deal a heavy bite, both biting attacks also give poison. Rearing on their hind legs can be cancelled, in case a creature flees from the sheer sight of this stance (most creatures under the size of a Rex will) PASSIVE ABILITIES The colors of Trigonotarbids tend to look similar to rocks, so creatures are less likely to attack them. Jug Bugs often seek Trigos as shelter, Jug Bugs hide under Trigos for safety. The heavy shell of Trigos are incredibly durable, arrows and bullets are pretty much useless to harm these guys! Every now and then, a Trigo will molt and produce "Trigo Molt", this shell works similar to shell fragments! Lastly, they'll produce organic polymer, like vomit, this removes any unwanted substances from their stomachs. HARVESTING CAPABILITY Trigonotarbid legs, due to their strength, can take down trees, cacti, and smash rocks with ease! These 3 resources, and sand, all have weight reductions of 60%. DIET Wild Trigonotarbids, as mentioned before, eat only corpses and weak creatures. However, tamed Trigonotarbids can eat meat. BREEDING Trigonotarbids can only breed during the hottest areas and days (or when temperature exceeds 60). They only mate during these times due to other creatures hiding from the heat, so it's safe to do such a vulnerable act. TLDR: Bigass Spider Feed corpses to tame(higher level + larger creature = faster tame) Can Jump Basic Bite Heavy Bite (rear up on hind legs) Can scare creatures smaller than Rex (when reared up on hind legs) Can Ground-Slam High-Knockback kick Common Color Variations: Sandy Orange, Light Sandy Orange, Red, and White Rare Color Variations: Blue and Black Carries a Ton Strong Armor Can Climb Walls Harvests Stone, Sand, Cactus Sap, and Wood 60% weight reduction on above Jug Bug Lure Less likely to be targeted (camouflaged) Natural Platform Saddle (similar to Megachelon) Saddle acts as Mortar and Pestle Lower Levels inside of the map Higher Levels on outer edges of the map Only breeds when temperature is over 60 degrees Aggros on low health creatures Can Drag Corpses Tamed can eat meat Spawn grouped with 2 others CONCLUSION: VOTE FOR BIG ENEMY SPIDER! Even though the winner of the previous vote was a bug, we still need more useful Arthropods in ARK! P.S. Feel free to recommend other features in the comments! (Art done by me <3) -

Common Name: Ankylosaurus Species: Ankylosaurus crassacutis Time: Late Cretaceous Diet: Herbivore Temperament: Docile Wild: Unlike many of the herd animals on the island, Ankylosaurus crassacutis tends to live in small family units. I believe they can afford to stick with smaller groups because of their incredibly thick skin for which they're named. Despite not being among the largest of the islands herbivores, the Ankylosaurus is one of the more difficult Creatures to take down. Its thick, armored skin seems to make it more than a match for several of the mid-sized predators that would otherwise hunt it. Reckless carnivores are just as likely to hurt themselves on Ankylosaurus' spikes as they are to get hit by its tail. Domesticated: Without a doubt, the best trait of a trained Ankylosaurus is its enormously dense tail. This tail is powerful enough to shatter the resource-laden rocks of the island. One of the wealthier human tribes on the island utilizes a squad of Ankylosaurus in its mines and quarries.-

Common Name: Brontosaurus Species: Brontosaurus lazarus Time: Late Cretaceous Diet: Herbivore Temperament: Docile Wild: Among the largest creatures I've seen on the island, Brontosaurus lazarus is larger than any sauropod I've read about. In fact, the dinosaur is so massive that it ignores most other creatures. I've seen a pack of Raptors tear apart smaller Dinosaurs while Brontosaurus continues eating, seemingly oblivious to the hunting pack. The Brontosaurus is extremely protective of its eggs and will attack if provoked. However, some may think this is an Apatosaurus, Dreadnoughtus, Argentinosaurus, or other sauropod - but this is a strange island and I'm the one doing the research. I'm convinced that this genus is Brontosaurus and no one can tell me otherwise. My study, my rules. Domesticated: Because of how docile it is, Brontosaurus makes the ideal pack-animal. Peaceful tribes use it to carry incredible quantities of resources, while warring tribes use it to mobilize their army. Unfortunately, its enormity means that most attempts to tame Brontosaurs can take longer than almost any other creature on the island. -

Common Name: Doedicurus Species: Doedicurus custosaxum Time: Plestiocene – Holocene Diet: Herbivore Temperament: Docile Wild: Doedicurus custosaxum is one of the island’s non-aggressive herbivores, generally found on mountains and grasslands. Large and well-armored, it has a supply of fat under its plates to keep it warm and fed in the cold. Doedicurus has adapted well to the dangers of the island, perhaps even better than the Ankylosaurus. Doedicurus has two very different reactions to predators. Against smaller foes, it generally uses its spiked tail to inflict as much damage as possible. Against larger predators, however, it pulls its tail underneath itself to form a solid armored ball that is nearly impossible for creatures to pierce. Domesticated: Doedicurus is a highly prized work animal on the island. Its spiked Tail is ideal for quickly shattering the large rocks, so Doedicurus is a very efficient quarry worker. And in case their quarry gets raided, Doedicurus-Riders have a very difficult-to-kill mount!-

Common Name: Mammoth Species: Mammuthus steincaput Time: Early Pliocene Diet: Herbivore Temperament: Docile Wild: Seeing the likes of Mammuthus steincaput alongside dinosaurs is still strange. This behemoth towers over most creatures on the island, and does not seem to fear anything but the Tyrannosaurus. Mammoths generally thrive in colder areas and have a herd mentality. I'm honestly not certain how the herds of Mammoths find enough plant life to graze on some of the islands mountains. They must spend much of their time traveling between the mountains' cold summit and more lush base. Or maybe the Mammoth herd are the main reason the summits are so barren. Domesticated: Mammuthus steincaput is a difficult beast to domesticate. Not because they are inherently stubborn, but because knocking one out to begin the taming process takes forever. Once tamed, however, Mammoths are one of the only creatures on the island that can uproot trees without shattering them. -

Common Name: Dragonfly Group: Invertebrates Species: Meganeura quatpenna Time: Late Carboniferous Diet: Carnivore Temperament: Docile Wild: Meganeura quatpenna is an especially large species of dragonfly. Actually, it is a type of griffinfly, an extinct species of invertebrate that looked similar to dragonflies. Like most griffinflies, Meganeura is carnivorous, but it is typically not aggressive towards humans unless provoked or challenged for food. It lives primarily in the wetter, heavily wooded areas, such as the jungles. Meganeura is a natural predator of most of the smaller insects on the island. Though not often aggressive, Meganeura will not turn down a free meal. They quickly appear in large numbers to scavenge off the victims of Pulmonoscorpius, rendered unconscious and unable to defend themselves. Of course the insects do have to avoid the Pulmonoscorpius itself. I have noticed it is unwise to disturb a flock of feeding Meganeura. The size of the insects on the island confounds me. The way these creatures diffuse oxygen should limit their size but Meganeura (and other bugs) seem to be able to advance beyond this restraint. If there is more oxygen in the air this could explain Meganeura's growth.-

Common Name: Plesiosaur Species: Elasmosaurus remuspissa Time: Late Cretaceous Diet: Carnivore Temperament: Docile Wild: Elasmosaurus remuspissa has a strange role in the oceanic food chain. It almost exclusively hunts the smaller creatures in the waters, leaving most even moderately large creatures (such as humans) alone. The sheer size of theElasmosaurus means that the quantity of creatures it must eat to sustain itself is nothing short of enormous. Despite its imposing size, Elasmosaurus still has natural predators. Well, a natural predator: the Megalodon. Apart from that monstrous creature, I myself have only ever seen two creatures bring down an Elasmosaurus: a Spinosaurus that found its way into the deeps (not common), and humans. Though I will admit, I have yet to fully explore the staggering deep underwater caverns surrounding the island. Domesticated: Much like the Brontosaurus on land, Elasmosaurus is an excellent way to transport large quantities of goods over water. These powerful creatures are in fact so large that they can be used as mobile water bases. Ambitious tribes sometimes build bunkers right onto the backs of Elasmosaurus instead of building cargo ships. -

Common Name: Stegosaurus Species: Stegosaurus regium Time: Late Jurassic Diet: Herbivore Temperament: Docile Wild: Stegosaurus regium has approximately 16 paired rows of plates along its back, flanked by another smaller pair of 6 plates. This is contrary to the alternating rows of Stegosaurus fossils found in museums. I've encountered Stegosaurus, in varying amounts almost everywhere on the island. Not surprisingly, Stegosaurus uses the spines on its tail to defend itself. While not aggressive, Stegosaurus will come to the aid of other nearby Stegosaurus. This implies it to be a herd animal. Domesticated: Commonly used as a safe way to transport large quantities of goods. The plates on the Stegosaurus regium double as a cover against the arrows of the attackers. Unfortunately, they also make it harder to load and unload some cargo. The Stegosaurus attacks by swinging its spiked tail at the opponent, which has a wide area of attack. Care must be taken not to anger any nearby dinosaurs by accidentally hitting them. The swinging attack, however, is excellent for collecting large amounts of berries.-

Common Name: Paracer Species: Paraceratherium gigamicus Time: Oligocene Diet: Herbivore Temperament: Docile Wild: Paraceratherium Gigamicus is a massive, long-necked mammal that inhabits some of the island's grasslands. It resembles a gigantic horse/rhinoceros hybrid, but is over twice the size of either. Paraceratherium is a very peaceful and friendly herbivore, and doesn't even seem to mind other creatures near its nest. Barring some... surprise... yet in store for me, I can safely say that the Paracerathrium is the largest mammal on the island. While its size means that the Paraceratherium can provide an incredible amount of food, it also makes it dangerous when hunted. Domesticated: A beast of burden second to the Brontosaurus, Paraceratherium is an excellent worker. It is a naturally friendly animal, and is not afraid of humans. However despite its normally calm demeanor, when it or its owner is provoked by aggression, the Paraceratherium can quickly become a real threat to the attacker and will use its girth to its advantage in combat.-
